slow burn or love at first sight - MY JAM. not making proper eye contact until 50k words in???? hand holding at 100k????? beautiful. the stuff of dreams.

fake dating or secret dating - both tbh, but i tend to sway towards secret dating just bc theres so much A N G S T. im writing a fake dating au rn and although i love the setting and characters in this particular au, its been such a pain to write so im kind of turned off from the trope atm lol

enemies to lovers or best friends to lovers - duh. but a good best friends to lovers where theres one sided pining also makes my heart soar so its really a win-win

oh no there’s only one bed or long-distance with correspondence - this trope should never die im serious. 

hurt/comfort or amnesia - this is going to be so controversial but im not a huge fan of the amnesia trope and idk WHY. like ask me to explain and i wont be able to give you a solid answer. theoretically i should bc the potential for angst is /chef’s kiss/ but idk man i just cant get into them. even more controversial....i only like amnesia fics if theyre fluffy or crack-y like “waking up after a minor operation & being high & hitting on the nurse wait thats my husband??? score” that kind of thing

fantasy au or modern au - the only fantasy i have ever liked in my entire life is harry potter so its not a genre i read a lot of, even though i like fantastical elements in modern settings. also i feel like modern aus are so fun and dont get enough love

mutual pining or domestic bliss -  BOTH!!! give me all of it please

smut or fluff - lmao did you really have to ask

canon compliant or fix-it fic -  with capri, i feel like theres so many different and interesting avenues for this?? its so good

alternative universe or future fic - both!! but i tend to read more aus. theyre just so fun

one-shot or multi-chapter - its always amazing to see people write well written, thought provoking and emotional novel length fics like HOW. tell me your secrets!!!

kid fic or roadtrip fic - tbh neither lol but i feel like id lean more towards a roadtrip fic if it was very awkward and filled with sexual tension lol

reincarnation or character death - id rather eat my own toe than give damen and laurent an unhappy ending - they are going to be happy in ALL the universes mark my words

arranged marriage or accidental marriage - both are so much fun!!! also im writing an arranged marriage au and ITS SO FUN!!! ive been wanting to write it for months and (so far) the writing process has gone well. im just very slow lol.

high school romance or middle aged romance - i literally couldnt care less about high school romance UNLESS a) its super tropey and cliche and borderline ridiculous (cheerleader laurent & footballer damen?? yum) or b) it involves damen & laurent being high school teachers

time travel or isolated together - i have a time travel au planned but i honestly think im too stupid to write it so it probably will never happen lol

neighbours or roommates - as long as they hate each other and have lots of angry sex im in

sci-fi au or magic au - neither interest me but i guess magic just a little bit more??
