I wanted to keep this headcanon for my fics, but if I don't share it with you all now I will explode, so:

Dorothy canonically snores.

Rose canonically talks in her sleep.

I'm willing to bet that Blanche is a cover hog. She goes to sleep and becomes a cover burrito in five minutes tops. Oh, you sleep with her? Hope you like being exposed to the cold and monsters the whole night through. The covers are hers.

#it just makes sense to me. on a superficial level she's just the one who tolerates the cold the least #unlike dorothy and rose who grew up in cold(er) places #and she's also self-centered so it fits with her personality lmao. who the hell cares about her bed mates as long as she's warm and comfy??#but on a deeper level. she needs affection and comfort *so much*#im guessing when george was alive she just wrapped around him (not necessarily in *that* sense) and that was it #and after he died she had to simulate the warmth somehow. the empty bed was *too much* to deal with #so she started to wrap *herself* in the covers instead #obviously the only solution is for her wives to hug her in a big cuddle pile the whole night through #so she doesn't get cold and lonely #yeah anyway this has been living in my brain for months and i wanted to wait until i could do something more substantial with it #but i can't keep it in my brain alone anymore #the golden girls #golden wives #blanche devereaux
