Hey, newer fan who legit doesn't know-- can you explain what happened with the Frank Iero bus crash? I saw a post about it but it didn't really explain and I'm confused

frank, evan, and their manager were hit by a city bus in australia while unloading their van in 2016. frank was literally like swept under the bus and dragged against the curb for like 20 feet or something??? and he only survived cause he was wearing like a really big backpack. he fucked up his shoulder and the other two were also injured but everyone is ok. but he has like ptsd from it and also the shoulder injury. he's written some songs about it and talked about how he has this like delusion/fear that he actually died and nothing around him is real and its all made up in his head....its horrible. he could have surgery for the shoulder but he's afraid that something would go wrong and he wouldn't be able to play guitar anymore so he' says he'd rather play with the pain every time than run the risk of not being able to play at all. poor guy :(

"Are you gonna come to class today?"

"No. My stomach hurts." Newt whined, pouting at Thomas.

"Aww, do I need to take care of baby Newt?" Thomas joked, sitting on Newt's bed. They were dorm mates at their university, and over time they got closer and started dating. They had been dating for probably a year now.

"No." Newt said, flipping Thomas off. Thomas let out a sarcastic 'aww' and laid down next to Newt.

"Don't you have classes soon?" Newt asked, looking at Thomas, who was getting under the blankets next to Newt.

"Yes, but I wanna make sure you're alright." Thomas said, pushing some hair out of Newt's face.

"Do you know why it hurts?" Thomas asked, knowing that was a dumb question. But regardless, Newt seemed to know the answer.

"I have an idea, but I'm not sure." Newt sighed. Thomas raised an eyebrow, silently telling Newt to go on.

"Remember when I first got here, and I used to get stomach aches all the time? Well, those were because of anxiety, and I think it's the same problem now." Newt said, rubbing his stomach.

"What are you anxious about?" Thomas asked, because Newt usually told him when he was upset.

"Just school, and like a few other thin-things." Newt stuttered, mentally slapping himself. He stuttered whenever he lied, and he's tried to fix it but it didn't work.

"What other things?" Thomas asked.

"It's dumb." Newt scoffed.

"No, it it makes you anxious then it's not dumb." Thomas said sternly.

"Well, you know how we got into that fight this weekend?" Newt asked, trying to hold back the feeling of tears in his throat. Thomas nodded, and Newt continued;

"Well, I'm sorry, and when you didn't talk to me for a few hours it just made me get to thinking. Are you bored of me? Or mad at me? Please tell me if you are Tommy." Newt's voice cracked, and a tear came out at the 'tommy' part.

"No Newt. Not at all okay? Im sorry for not talking to you for a few hours I was just frustrated okay? You have no reason to be sorry." Thomas stated, wiping the tear off of Newt's cheek.

Their argument started because of something really ridiculous, it was about someone misplacing Newt's essay for one of his classes, and Newt got frustrated and accused Thomas. Thomas got defensive and said Newt was forgetful and probably left it somewhere. Thomas went out with some friends when Newt said he was being an arsehole, which wasn't something Newt even meant to say, but before he could apologize Thomas had left their room to go out to god knows where.

Newt cried the whole time Thomas was out, only stopping when he eventually fell asleep. Thomas came back later in the evening, and woke up Newt to apologize. They made up, but Newt still felt like Thomas was mad at him. He also didn't know what Thomas did when he went out, and didn't want to ask.

"But, I was really really mean. I'm sorry and I didn't mean to make you want to go. And I don't know where you went when you went out, and you didn't answer texts and I was just so scared and guilty. Please tell me you didn't see anyone else." Newt sobbed, making his stomach hurt worse. Thomas felt his heartstrings pull at the sound of Newt crying, the sound made him just want to hug Newt forever and never let go.

"No baby. I would never ever do that. I love you okay? I just went to the park. I shouldn't have ignored you. And I was being an arsehole. Okay? Don't be sorry at all." Thomas was now propping himself up on his elbow, trying to make himself clearer.

"Please Tommy. Please don't leave." Newt asked, almost a whisper, but Thomas's heart shattered.

"I wouldn't leave you even if you wanted me to. Do you understand?" Thomas laughed, trying to wipe more tears off of Newt's soft face.

Newt nodded, and Thomas laid back down. Thomas wrapped his arm around Newt, and Newt turned onto his side, so his back was pressed against Thomas's chest.

Newt was still silently crying, and Thomas knew he was still worried. He got upset at even the thought of him doing something like that to Newt.

Thomas leaned his head over Newt's shoulder and kissed his cheek. His cheek was wet with tears, and Thomas felt helpless. He didn't know how to help Newt feel better.

He stuck his hand under Newt's shirt and drew tiny shapes with his finger on his abs, trying to calm Newt and possibly help his stomach ache.

They laid like that for a few minutes, Newt barely calming down. Thomas had to fight back tears himself, he didn't want Newt to be sad and he especially didn't want to be the reason.

"I love you. So much. Please tell me you know that." Thomas asked, bending his arm that was under Newt's head to play with his hair.

Newt nodded, but Thomas could still feel his uneven breaths.

"I love you too." Newt whispered, and you could hear the tremble in his voice. Thomas was now rubbing his whole hand up and down Newt's abdomen, trying to ease him.

Thomas was almost about to break down, but then he remembered something that always cheered Newt up.

"Do you remember the song I was singing when we met?" Thomas asked, knowing that Newt did.

"Yes." Newt muttered.

"What was it called?" Thomas asked, smile present in his voice.

"Chasing Cars." Newt answered confidently.

"Should I sing it?" Thomas giggled, earning a small snicker from Newt, which made his heart flutter.

Thomas took that as a queue to begin, so he did.

"We'll do it all

Everything

On our own

We don't need

Anything or anyone" Thomas sang, remembering all the lyrics.

"If I lay here

Newt knew it was cheesy, but it made him happy.

They're not enough" Thomas was not an amazing singer, but he was so quiet it was hard to notice mistakes.

He heard Newt yawn, but continued.

I don’t have any prediction for the rest of the GP Series for the men right now. To be honest I’m kind of tuning out from that side of the field. The ladies’ is proving to be a much fiercer competition this season. I made the same point back in CoR and I will repeat it one last time: you can’t say a skater doesn’t deserve to win just because they fell. If you want to disapprove anyone’s win you have to back it up with a comprehensive analysis of BV, GOE, and PCS, and benchmark it against the performance of the rest of the competitors. 

My very short opinion, since it’s the same old, same old: is Janny over-scored? Yes. Did she deserve to win NHK? Yes.

FS is a difficult sport to follow and loving Yuzuru Hanyu does not make it any easier by any stretch of the imagination. I’m sorry this has to happen to you in your first season, dear. But as someone who’s been lurking in this space for a bit longer, I can tell you, it’s worth it. Keep believing in Yuzu, he won’t let you down!

I’m too much of a chicken to go and have another look at that 4Lz so I can’t tell with 100% certainty, but from what I saw of his 4Lz at CoR, I think the key issue might be the size of that jump. His 4Lz is massive, like batshit crazy massive, probably the biggest figure skating jump I ever see. That plus his insane rotational speed mean that it’s a very tough jump to control. If he doesn’t have his full focus and pay utmost attention to his body balance and in-air axis and his knee bend on the landing, awful things can happen, like they did. Also, that day during the practice he was obviously not in his best shape. I mean, just the day before that he was in bed with a fever. Doing that 4Lz in that condition was too risky of a move… 

I, just, why, Yuzu, why?

I also hope he’s resting now and allows his body the time it needs to recover.

Yes I think he should drop the 4Lz, mainly because that jump is very taxing on his right foot. Moreover, as I’ve been saying from the very beginning of this season, he doesn’t need a 4Lz in his layout. He can do a 5-quad layout with just the quad toe, Salchow, and loop. Not to mention, he doesn’t even need a 5-quad FS to win events and break records.

Do I think he will drop the 4Lz? I honestly don’t know if he will choose to follow reason or pride, he’s Yuzuru Hanyu, after all. I can only hope that whatever his decision, he is mindful of all the pros and cons that comes with it, and pick a path that will not lead him to regret.

No, usually a skater wouldn’t join the gala if they withdraw from the competition. And Yuzuru really needs all the rest he can have now to recover. 

We won’t see any performance from him again until maybe Japan Nationals in December, and keep in mind that it’s still a maybe at this stage. Let’s give him the time and space he needs and let’s keep hoping for a speedy and full recovery.

i go by the official bbb art for the series for what they look like. just because when i was first reading it, the art went along with it and it informed how i viewed them. gerard is like 2007 gerard with the long hair. and frank in the first two books had his revenge cut with the side swept devilock but then when you get to heaven help us he has longer-ish hair as well.

I’ve seen people claim that mcr fans thought gerard was gay until he went out with Eliza/ when he married L. (but a lot of people who claim this weren’t mcr fans until like 2014) is this true? well i didnt get into mcr until after all of this stuff. but ive never heard that people thought gerard was gay like exclusively into men. i think people assumed that he was bi or just queer but gerard was in a long term relationship up until 2006. he thanked her in the bullets liner notes. ppl may have thought gerard was gay but i havent heard that. when i joined the fandom we were all just under the assumption that both frank and gerard were bi.

as far as frerard stuff, im told that that has been a thing for a loooooooong time. absolutely pre-2007. bullets era fans like people who went to see them back then and on revenge will tell you that ppl did assume they were a Thing. before people all got on lj and started talking about it together and writing fic. they say that they just alwauys gravitated towards each other on stage, they were like a package deal off-stage too they were joined at the hip. and the way they behaved with one another was really like 👀. thats what ive been told by a handful of people who were around back then.

i was at mk1 and i was not expecting anything like metaman to a point where when gerard came out i said 'who is that' out loud like it DIDNT FEEL REAL

and then my fool self had been worrying leading up to the us tour that he only did costumes for europe and this leg was going to be "boring" and less exciting and i was wrong we keep being wrong and its getting vdery scary
