hmm it's been v enlightening to read what designers have to say on the matter of the logo esp when it comes to spec work ....tbh i dont think jae had any bad intention he was just unaware of this being an issue.  it never ocurred to me that this may be a problem....i only have experience in architecture n contests r a v common thing in this field hell we even have to pay a fee sometimes to take part in ideas competitions....also at least in my country lots of public contracts go thru competition...ig i saw this logo thing the same way i do fanart....as a side project that allows me to improve on and explore other design and artistic aspects outside my professional work.....tbh i didnt mind spending my time working on my designs.....it's what i do with fanart anyways. but i also understand the other side of the argument n esp professional designers have every right to speak up....i really appreciate them informing jae n everyone else abt these issues rather than going oh no u did nothing wrong we’d do anything for u uwu like some others....anyways looking back jae could have proceeded in a better way, posting some guidelines or details abt compensation beforehand.....but ig we all can learn sth from this n be more careful in the future!! ❤
