why do only children's and fantasy books have illustrations. what crime did other readers commit that the industry decided we weren't worthy of lil drawings
#jeez#also this was absolutely meant for literary fiction in 'mundane' settings bcs thats my favourite genre and if you think the everyday doesnt#deserve the same amount of imagination and thought as the fantastical youre just. hopeless.#all art ever has been a response to the everyday. you dont need the lens of dragons to see the beauty and horror and heartbreak of a random#city street. it doesnt need a justification to be worthy of visual art#and!!!!!
