I just keep writing a series of long dbd fics following different paths for the same survivors and their eventual escape from or destruction of the realm, until by my fourth it becomes apparent I have accidentally created a Fate Stay Night style multi-path AU branch single story and each one is just a different endgame route for Quentin.

Hah, I suppose that’s true, although that version of the Entity would have to be like the world’s dumbest bitch. If I was the Entity, I would simply deny him physical access to other killers period—heck, there’s no reason he or they even need to be able to see each other, or I can’t keep everyone in isolation completely to further my goals. It’d be excessive to go to such extravagant and unnecessary lengths to pit other killers against him, when you could easily just isolate instead, and I will never think it’s not kinda silly they gave any map sunlight period because it goes against the game’s entire rationale and literally its name too, but the idea of an iteration of the Entity who is this flamboyant and overdoes everything to such petty and ridiculous amounts is flooring me. Dead by Daylight dumbass sitcom edtition, please—it would be funny af the mental images. 🤣

say what you will about caleb but i think the entity was very nice in giving him his map. He's got the sun, multiple buildings that include beds! actual mattresses! He even has a piano :D. The entity really went big on his enrichment. Frankly if i were the other killers i'd feel cheated.

Tbh while that map is really gorgeous and super fun to play on, it’s never made any bit of logical sense to me because the game is called Dead by Daylight and the huge recurring visual theme was that...you know...they’d all never see the sun again? Lol. It doesn’t make sense to me that his is sundown just for a vaguely more western feel that ignores the entire past world building, & it seems silly, but it is very pretty to play on. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And again, yeah, why is his so much better? The Entity was just feeing creative that week??? I’d be annoyed too as a killer there, even though as Caleb I definitely wouldn’t be grateful. Haha, no amount of beds would make the person who kidnapped me from my entire planet, manipulated & made me hallucinate to control me, and forced my life to subsist if nothing but murdering people forever, be being nice. I’d be ready to throw hands. But if I was the Clown or one of its other killers?
