below is a smol variety of the types of relationships your muse can have with nine--you are absolutely free to suggest something else to me that isn’t listed below!

TOLERABLE-- aka kind of friends, kind of not...? nine might find you somewhat annoying but doesn’t particularly find you to be a straight up nuisance and won’t mind you hanging around sometimes. that doesn’t mean she’ll be PLEASED about it, she just won’t outright kick you away. 

FRIENDS-- okay. okay listen. nine is NOT the easiest person to befriend-- even before becoming the Phantom, she can be very off-putting. she’s so incredibly stubborn and determined and can be blunt and rash and has a temper. she can be vicious and unforgiving. if you ever hope of being her friend you need to accept that she just..80% of the time does what she wants without giving a single fuck about what others say about it. getting close enough to her to be considered a friend is a Challenge my friend. and while a lot of her more positive traits kinda shattered after being subjected to the Boundary and all that for over 100 years, she’s not a complete monster. she is still capable of caring-- it’ll just take some time and work when it comes to strangers.also don’t tell her not to eat all that sugar because she’ll shove a lollipop in your mouth and tell you to shut up. just be aware that stopping her when she has a goal is next to impossible. also? she likes to tease. a lot. and rile you up. 

BEST FRIENDS/ FAMILY...ISH -- there has literally only been (1) person in existence who Nine considered to be her best friend and only 3 people who were her family who she was willing to risk it all for. so, your muse falling into either category is not going to be easy by any means whatsoever. as stated above, being her friend is difficult, but not impossible. and if your muse is really persistent and actually genuinely wants to get to know her and be there for her and her friend, then there is a slim chance they could become a best friend or like family to her. 

ENEMIES-- don’t you love you some good ‘ol ‘hate-your-guts’ type enemy dynamics? because i do! nine is unapologetic (unless she like really likes you) in her choices and depending on the goal, will do what it takes to achieve that goal-- usually nothing too bad. if you try to stop her or harm anyone she cares for, immediately you are on her shit list and that is where you will stay until the end of your days. if you push, she’ll push back twice as hard. she’s also not an enemy to underestimate because she’ll have a back-up plan for the back-up plan for the regular plan. she’s like batm.an but with plans.

ROMANTIC-- *muffled mon.sta x’s alligator playing in the background* she’s only ever really loved one person, which led to marriage and having a daughter. so yes, Nine is capable of having those romantic feelings but listen-- it isn’t a priority for her and now that she’s all bing bang boom, back to life again, it certainly takes a backseat to everything. it’s complicated and involves a lot of things but she’s more concerned with herself and coming to terms with a lot of things before she even THINKS about lovey dovey stuff.
