So Ronan the dragonborn cleric has his journal and a habit of drawing. Alongside his dry recounts of the day, the more spicy prose written in draconic that frustrates his nosey companions, and simplistic stick figure diagrams of action he can't draw properly, are more detailed sketches. These sketches are generally reserved for animals or plants, especially flowers, he happens across and enjoys, jotted down to the best of memory alongside the words written about the days events.

But between those, every now and then, are drawings of people, most notably people he finds important in some way. These sketches aren't hyper realistic or artful as his capabilities are amateur at best, but they are detailed and good enough you would recognize who they were depicting. He's not trying to become a master of the art, but just good enough that he can have a visual reminder of someone if they should leave him or pass away.

Sometime during Act 2, after the conversation with the mirror about Astarion not remembering what he looks like but before he confesses to feeling something more, Ronan notices his journal is missing. Again. It happens often enough that he's not worried, but he would like it back so he does the rounds around camp to see which sticky-fingered companion took it tonight.

After checking with nearly everyone save Wyll, Ronan finds Astarion a little ways away from everyone, sat near a torch and hunched over conspicuously. Upon silently walking up to him, standing just behind him, Ronan waits just a few moments until his presence is felt. Predictably, Astarion jumps to his feet, hand going for a dagger with the journal clutched to his chest as he whips around to face his would be assailant.

Of course, it's just Ronan and Astarion sighs in a melodramatic relief, commenting that they should perhaps bell the dragonborn when he isn't in his horrendously loud armor. Ronan grunts, holding out a hand expectantly and what follows is a rather typical back and forth as Astarion teasingly mentions all the 'dirty little secrets' he's supposedly gleaned from the journal while Ronan steadfastly asks for the damn thing back as he'd like to make an entry and get to sleep. But something's off, as usually after a minute or two the leather bound book is halfway into Ronan's hand, being pulled away a time or two, yet Astarion is keeping it close to himself, as if reluctant to give it back.

Ronan notices, interrupts Astarion in midst of being complained at over his assessment of the rogue's battle performance to ask if everything is alright. For a moment, Astarion says yes, of course, well as good as he can be starving and exhausted in the middle of this godforsaken place but-

And he stops, chewing on his lip, troubled as he opens the journal again to flip to the page he'd had his thumb wormed into this whole time. He touches his face and Ronan can feel what's coming before Astarion opens his mouth to ask if the person on the page is him. He doesn't even need to see the sketch Astarion shows him; there's a lot of the elf drawn in that journal.

Ronan nods and then immediately mutters something akin to an apology that his artistic talent is lacking, receiving a joke about how Astarion certainly wouldn't hang anything he's drawn by his bedroll that trails off. Then he's silent for a moment, taking the journal back to stare down at the page before he supposes it's the best he'll get. It's a want for a way to help that strikes Ronan as he watches, struggling with what to say and wishing he had some way to alleviate that grief, to show him-

But there is a way to show him, isn't there?

It takes some convincing and a promise to not probe into Astarion's thoughts, but eventually a reluctant vampire is standing illuminated in a holy daylight summoned eagerly for just the occasion. He's instructed to close his eyes as Ronan crouches down to get the best view he can and takes Astarion's hand to press his palm to a scaley temple. The connection is immediate, Astarion's sight filled with a clear picture of himself, of a face he hasn't seen in centuries mirrored perfectly through Ronan's steady and concentrated gaze.

He's given as much time as he needs, Ronan seemingly happy to stare at him as he takes it all in. There's something filtering through the cleric's ironclad concentration, made only more apparent at every observation and joke Astarion makes while refamiliarizing himself with himself. Words and phrases pop into mind, squashed before they complete like the sound of them being thrust underwater to muffle and become incoherent.

Comments about his features, about his voice, about the hand still curled against Ronan's temple, about how close they are. Noachi, that draconic nickname Ronan's given him that he still has no idea the meaning of, thought less like a word and more like a fond prayer floating through as Ronan chuckles at some quip Astarion makes about not remembering his chin being like that. But there's another thing that Ronan can't seem to stop coloring his perception and his thoughts.

It's not a word or a phrase or even a picture. Merely a feeling, a warmth, deep and radiating, growing stronger and stronger the longer Ronan is staring at Astarion. So much so, it colors the picture he's presenting as a glow emanates around Astarion that has nothing to do with the magical daylight or the nearby torch or anything about himself, as if that warmth Ronan is feeling is warping his very sight.

And it's a feeling that Astarion recognizes, has tried not to recognize for a little while now, ignoring and writing it off and burying it at every turn. A feeling that answers back within him and that shakes him. Frightens him enough, he takes his hand away, opens his eyes to break the connection.

Astarion thanks him, kind of, inbetween commenting that he hopes Ronan is happy he's probably satisfied his need to stare at Astarion for the evening before actually saying something that amounts to gratitude. It gets him another chuckle, and Ronan bows his head with a little smile, telling him 'anytime, noachi' before leaving Astarion alone. The daylight fades away to nothing and Astarion is left by the torch, watching Ronan take his journal to the rest of the rest of camp as he touches his face, lost in thought.

you and childe did not know each other before college nor did you intend to be roommates what do ever

in fact you both were quite upset upon finding out who you were rooming with, you had wanting to room with one of your best friends from highschool while childe wanted to room with one of HIS best friends from highschool

long story short you two were thrown together by accident while your best friends ended up rooming together on a different floor of the dorms

needless to say this was not going to end up well… unless it does this is a fanfiction of course lmao

you majored in architectural drafting/CAD technology (yikes i am so sorry for you) while childe surprisingly majored in child care service management

so with that being said it’s understandable how you two didn’t really have classes together and even if you did you guys hang out with completely different crowds

you hang out with a (in your opinion) much more relaxed crowd of kazuha, aether, venti, and xiao. childe on the other hand hangs out with a (in your opinion) much more rowdy crowd of diluc, kaeya, zhongli, and tohma

due to this reasoning you guys never really hang out nor do your friends, sure they all know of each other but they don’t interact or have events with each other

but back on track to childe! honestly you’re not sure how what or why but this man is literally always busy?? he’s pretty much never around and you don’t mind it too much, because you guys were thrown together unexpectedly there was an unwritten rule to just kinda avoid talking to each other if possible

meaning that you nor childe were really ever at the dorm and if you were the other wasn’t there 99.9% of the time, or if the other was there then you’d just isolate yourselves from each other

childe was typically off either partying, playing video games with the boys, swimming, or taking care of his little brother which you didn’t even know existed until one day you stumbled into the dorm to find little ol teucer eating cereal on your spot of the couch

at first you were very surprised, the frat boy had a younger brother? that he treated well? it was a bit odd but it made a little sense when you remembered that he majors in child care management

you on the other hand we’re either at cafés, going to the park with friends, doing arts and crafts, or working on your schoolwork

schoolwork was a bitch that’s for sure, architecture is NOT a fun major and you were sure cad programming was going to be the reason you pass out in public one day

due to this you were up extremely late on thursday night at 3 am sitting in the small table of the dining room with your laptop too bright and a cup of god knows what

thankfully it wasn’t too cold out so you could wear your shorts and t-shirt around with your cute fluffy soft slippers, childe however was no where to be seen but you didn’t really care to know about that

you yawned and practically pried your eyes open to continue working on the assignment given to you nearly sobbing at the pain of having to scale your sketch

tapping away at the keyboard you heard the soft click of the door open and your eyes flickered to see who had come in, though you should’ve already known but your mind was in a delirious state at this point in the late night

in walked childe with his oh so pretty soft fluffy hair messed up a bit and his white t-shirt sitting on his shoulders just right, stepped in and glanced at you before setting his bag down

“hey”

“hey, welcome home”

you didn’t really think at all of what you were saying, just greeting him quickly and getting back to work on your project

childe however didn’t move an inch, “welcome home”? he wasn’t sure why but hearing you say that put a smile on his face and he could swear that he was much more relaxed than before doing who knows what at such late times

“why are you up so late?”

“working on a project, why were YOU out so late?”

“was at the pool”

that would explain the ruffled hair and light smell of chlorine immuring from his tall figure, he went to the kitchen and grabbed himself a glass of water chugging it within seconds like a madman before heading off towards his bedroom

you don’t remember much else from that night but you do remember waking up at 1 PM at the small dining room table with your laptop closed and paperwork neatly in front of you

your cup from the night before was in the sink and there was a note left on your laptop, the smell of childe’s cologne filling your nose as you came to the realization that his jacket was wrapped around your shoulders

“morning, i talked to aether and he said your classes today are cancelled so i thought i’d let you sleep in. i plugged your phone in for you by the way, it’s on the couch where you normally sit.”

the note was written in neat handwriting which signed “childe :)” at the bottom and you subconsciously let out a giggle upon reading it, who knew he could be so caring?

you went and got your phone from the couch, pulled in and at 100% you noticed that the charger was childe’s too

making a note to give him his stuff back you decided to be productive around the dorm today and cleaned up everywhere except his room

after cleaning and organizing the door looked fantastic so you got a bag and stuffed childe’s items in them, placing the bag in front of his bedroom door you wrote him a note back

“thank you for this morning, it was actually really sweet of you. i cleaned up while you were gone but i didn’t do anything in your room, here’s your stuff back by the way. thank you for letting me use it! i’m going to the bakery across town for a little bit, i don’t know if you’ll be back when i’m done but i’ll bring cake and you can have some :)”

and with that you left to go to the bakery, you decided to meet up with aether and venti when you got there and you told them all about your home event this morning to which venti teased you about and made “oooo” noises like a middle schooler

aether however chimed in about childe contacting you, he told you about how he didn’t expect a text from childe this morning asking about your class and apparently childe went through multiple people to get his number

you were astonished at his effort, he went through all that just to let you sleep in? he really didn’t need to and considering how often he wasn’t around it seemed he had a lot to do, besides he was up late too

your face flushed red upon hearing about his sweet actions you were swear venti would laugh at you about this for the next month but you couldn’t care less being so caught up in childe’s actions

he was too kind really considering that you guys barely knew each other and that all you did was stay up, he didn’t need to go through all that trouble just for you to sleep in

after a while you finally got back to the dorms, childe wasn’t there yet so you ate some of the cake a left a few slices in the fridge for him to eat

you headed to bed before he came home and when you awoke the next morning you found the fridge empty of the left over cake and a thank you note on the kitchen counter

things continued on like this for a few weeks, rarely seeing childe and just exchanging notes with him. it was nice though and you found yourself looked forward to the notes when you came home or woke up. every once and a while you two would leave things for each other like little trinkets or left over food, sometimes lending each other clothes too

you arrived home one day to find yet another stranger sitting on your couch, only this time he was definitely not childe’s sibling

the man currently sitting on your couch was small with short dark purple hair and the ugliest basketball shorts you’ve ever seen in your life

“hey, (y/n) right?”

“umm yeah that’s me?”

“where the fuck is that stupid ginger ed sheeran wannabe?”

you felt starstruck, just who was this guy and what was with this atrocious audacity???

“i… don’t know? why?”

“what the hell do you mean you don’t know? you’re his roommate aren’t you? god he’s such a fuckwad”

after making a call to childe you find out that short stacks was the best friend from highschool that childe was originally supposed to room with, apparently his name is scaramouche and now you feel more than bad for your best friend who’s currently rooming with him

anyways childe was at swim practice so scaramouche (for whatever unknown reason) dragged you along with him to go watch childe at practice

upon arriving at the massive indoor pool you spot childe and kaeya drying off on what you assume is a break

“oh (y/n) i didn’t think you’d be joining us”

childe said it with a surprised face, though he didn’t say it like it was a bad thing. if anything he seemed a bit… excited?

“ahh this is the notorious (y/n) i’ve heard of? a pleasure to meet you, the name’s kaeya”

kaeya introduced himself in a sultry manner even ending his sentence with a wink, childe elbowed him with a glare and you just chose to ignore it to the best of your ability…

“anyways, i’ll pay for you since you coming with is a pleasant surprise”

childe offered to pay but you were confused… pay for what? aren’t you just here to watch him practice

“pay?”

“oh did scaramouche not tell you? we’re going out for lunch!”

that little bitch boy didn’t even tell you they were getting lunch! you spared him a glance and he only scoffed in response but of course he was your ride here so you had no choice other than to go

“are you sure? if you don’t want to i’ll drive you back to the dorms”

he offered to drive you back but you could tell he was a little disappointed, thought you really weren’t sure why either way it didn’t matter. who were you to say no to free food?

you guys ended up having a great time and even staying out longer than intended, laughing your asses off and even taking funny pictures of yourself

childe drove you back to the dorms and the whole ride you guys were laughing and playing around like idiots, hanging out with him was a lot more fun than you had expected

eventually you began hanging out with childe’s friend group much more often, even mashing your friend groups together. who knew kazuha and tohma would get along so well huh?

this continued on for a good amount of time, just hanging out with them often and having a really good time. life was good!

though you couldn’t help but start noticing childe more often, you weren’t sure when the shift happened but you started seeing him to be much more attractive

a lot of little things about him were just so… hot

like the way he would pay attention to you when you spoke or how he would study at night with those thick rimmed black glasses on, god those glasses were so so attractive

he was more than good looking, the way his perfect soft hair framed his face after swim practice and the toned muscles down his arms were enough to make nearly everyone swoon over him

soon enough you too fell victim to his charms, he was just so effortless at it that you couldn’t help but find yourself staring at him with heart eyes

little did you know that childe was aware of this long ago, whenever the shift happened to you he noticed it

he noticed the way you’d stare at him much more than you should or how you would hold onto him for a little longer, the way your eyes would shine when you spoke to him or how you would pay more attention to him than anyone else in the room

however he didn’t just so happen to notice these things out of no where, he noticed it because he was paying an abnormal amount of attention to you

childe isn’t stupid, he knew from the moment he met you that he wanted you. you were gorgeous, funny, polite, and good with his little brother. what more could he ever want?

he had always found you attractive too, he subtly watched you quite often (not in a creepy way though)

he’d stare when you walked by in just a T-shirt and shorts, oh how he wishes it was his you were wearing

or when you would go swimming at the beach with him and his friends… let’s just say you didn’t see him much because he was in the bathroom

the things he did to get you to notice him weren’t on accident nono, he did all of it on purpose

when he’d graze his hand along your waist in public? or how about when he wears his glasses around the dorm despite not studying? perhaps when he walks into the kitchen for breakfast without a shirt on? yep, all entirely planned

it got to the point where he almost never had a shirt on around the dorm and it was driving you to insanity

with your face so close to his he felt like he was gonna explode, not to mention your pretty big glossy eyes and plump red rosy lips, and holy shit did you just called him YOUR childe? he feels like he could faint

without even thinking or answering you he pulled you by the hips and slammed his lips into yours, a groan leaving his mouth when you squeak in surprise

when he pulled away he realized what he had so before you could see him he spun around with his coffee mug and made a quick escape to his bedroom leaving you to stand in the kitchen with your face bright red and brain fried

days passed and the situation regarding your kiss with childe was completely ignored, he had avoided discussing it with you and you respected that despite wanting an answer to why he had kissed you to begin with

the situation was finally addressed one evening while you were alone at the dorm, you sat on the couch watching tv when you received a text from childe

“what? childe are you drunk”

you were flustered at his behavior, was drunk childe always such a fucking flirt? was he like that with everyone when he was drunk? you sighed and got ready for when childe would come home

after a little while he came tumbling through the door, unable to walk straight to made your way to him with a glass of water and some medicine

once he took the medicine you grabbed his wrist and started dragging him to your bedroom

you groaned at his sluggish yet embarrassing words, you led him to the bed and set him under the covers before turning off your night lamp

before you could walk away he called out for you, looking back he was sat up in bed with arms held out

“come back and sleep with me, can’t sleep without my girlie to cuddle ehehe”

this idiot had the widest grin on his face and he made the stupid grabby motion with his hands signaling for you to get in bed

giving up you deciding to give in and just get in bed with him, the moment you layer yourself down his arms snaked your torso and his face snuggled into your neck

“hmm this is nice, we should do this more often”

“just go to sleep childe”

“whatever you say babe”

and with that you two of you somehow managed to fall asleep

upon waking up you found yourself to still be in childe’s embrace as he groaned, assessing the situation it would seem he’s just waking up

he let out a load gasp as he saw your body in between his arms, he backed away quickly and stared in silence as you sat up and yawned

“morning childe”

you had just woken up and yet you were so pretty, your hair was a mess in a cute way and your voice sent butterflies to invade childe’s stomach

“good… morning (y/n)?”

“are you feeling alright?”

“i guess, why wouldn’t i be?”

“because you were shitfaced drunk last night, flirting without shame and even insisted i slept with you”

“SLEPT WITH ME? I DIDNT DO ANYTHING DID I??”

he was panicked, realizing that he had so openly made such moves on you he was worried he’d lose any chance he’s ever had with you

“relax, you didn’t do anything weird. though you did say you wanted to kiss me, mind explaining yourself?”

poor guy couldn’t catch a break, he was practically tripping over his own feet and his head was all over the place

“well i just like your lips- i mean i like you, i mean i liked kissing you? like you know it was nice and all and you’re nice and you’re really pretty and i just thought maybe i should kiss you again but also maybe i shouldn’t and i wasn’t sure so-”

you cut him off by gently kissing him, letting out a hum when your lips made contact with his own and he closed his eyes finding himself melt into it

you pulled away and childe starred at you wide eyed, taking a moment to process what has just happened. you waited for him, unsure of how he would react

thankfully his lips stretched into a giant smile, he giggled a little feeling giddy and full of energy. i’m sorry giggled? what kind of man giggles when being kissed? oh he was so head over heels for you

you two sat there on the bed giggling like schoolgirls and giving each other light kisses, finally everything clicked and the two of you felt like you were truly at home

“Come on girls!”

You hear the crowd erupt as you took the first steps at the emirates, as much as many times as you'd step out onto the incredible stadium you'd always get goosebumps at the sound of the thousands of fans cheering you on.You look around taking it all in as you stand in line with the rest of your team, you watch kim little and mary Earps shake hands and follow the line of your teammates to shake hands with the familiar manchester united players.

you watch the heads in the line pass you when you see the spiky ponytail, you look up and meet the eyes of Alessia Russo, piercing blue eyes meeting with yours for a second, you grab each other's hand and just like that, she's gone.

You'd never properly spoken to Alessia, but the 2 times you’d played against man united this season you felt her eyes on you during the game, and when you'd catch her, she would immediately look away and as soon as the whistle blew, you would try avoiding her and go straight for the changing rooms, scared that if you did end up talking to her, you'd say something stupid to embarrass yourself, so avoiding her was the next option.

You jogged over to the team circle, wrapping your arms around Beth and Kaite, Kim gave her speech and you all put your hands in the middle of the circle and lifted your arms up.

“Arsenal!”

Arsenal end up beating united  2-1, you and viv both scoring absolute worldies, you'd all gone around taking pictures and signing shirts when you feel a tap on your shoulder, you turn around and once again meet light blue eyes, you hear your heart in your ears as you snap out of it once you hear her relaxing voice.

“Nice goal before, was an amazing chip” Alessia praised you while wearing one of her pretty toothy smiles.

“Oh thank you, it was nothing really, Leah's assist set me up” you laughed rubbing your neck to hide the slight redness rising from your nervousness.

“Hmm true but that finish took skill, you cut through all our defenders” Alessia giggled playing with the hem of her shirt.

You both stayed talking a while longer when you heard Katies voice calling your name.

“y/n!, come on you slowpoke hurry yer ass over before i make ya” katie says looking between the two of you.

“Sorry, gotta get to the shower, i'd rather not get her to drag me over” you laugh.

“No worries, I'll see you at Lottes party this weekend?” Alessia asked, sounding hopeful.

“Yeah, for sure,i'll be there” you replied 

“Ah nice, see you there then” Alessia smiled and waved starting to walk away

“Y-yeah, you too!” you said while she walked back to hear teammates. You turned around and slapped your forehead.

“Realy y/n?, ‘you too’?, for fucks sake” you shook your head at yourself as you walked into the changing rooms.

an hour later your walking with leah to the car park, since youd signed with arsenal a few months ago youd moved in with leah until you could find a place of your own, but it was nice having her around, you werent a fan of being on your own a lot, so having her to talk to is something your grateful for.

you both got in the car, leah driving and you in shotgun, as she pulled out of the parking she began talking.

"saw you and lessi talking earlier" leah said smirking

"oh shush it was nothing, just some friendly chat thats all" you rolled your eyes at her.

"mhm, for now" she said laughing.

"your so annoying did you know that?" you said jokingly

"its my hobby to pester you" she shrugged smiling, you roled your eyes and laughed with her.

"if you keep rolling your eyes they are gonna end up at the back of your head"

Later that day you are cooking dinner at your shared apartment with leah, some spaghetti, nice and plain for leah and you add some spices to your own since your not as picky as her, you set the two plates at the dinner table when you hear your phone ping on the kitchen counter, you walk up to it and tap on the screen, your eyes widen and your heart starts racing.

‘Alessiarusso99 started following you’

You start jumping up and down in the kitchen giggling when Leah walks in on you.

“What's gotten you so happy?” she asks, smiling with one eyebrow raised.

“Oh it's nothing’ u say pushing your phone away.

“Let me see” she reaches over your shoulder and grabs your phone and taps the screen, she looks down at it and then smirks up at you.

“B’out time one of you guys made the first move foken’ ell” she says laughing

“Oh shush we hadn't spoken until today, and plus she doesn't see me like that” you say snatching your phone off her and rolling your eyes.

“Mhm, whatever you say y/n/n” she teases, walking out of the kitchen.

Saturday comes around and you're getting ready for the party, straightening your hair in your vanity, you'd never taken so long to choose an outfit, usually you're very quick when it comes to it, but tonight you found yourself struggling to find something you liked, or more so, something she would like. Once your done you grab your phone and spray on your expensive ‘going out’ perfume and head to the front door.

“God you look like your about to throw up” leah laughed at you

“Lee, stop it, im stressin’ man” you whined as leah shook her head.

“Come on romeo let's get in the car”

Once you get to the place Lotte rented out you hear the music blasting even from outside. you feel your chest tighten and your hands get sweaty, leah then puts her hand on your shoulder.

“Hey, relax, breathe” you nod at her words and start breathing slowly.

You and Leah make your way through the crowd and the mist, disco lights flashing in your eyes and sweaty bodies bumping into you, you then see Katie,Caitlin,Beth and Viv by the bar and walk up to them.

“Leah,y/n, you're finally here, god what took you so long” beth said slurring over her words you laughed at her and gave her a hug.

“Lessi asked about you before, she was wondering where you were” Beth giggled, wiggling her eyebrows.

“Did she?” you said, your heartbeat once again starting to increase, beth nodded at your words. You then decided you needed some alcohol in your body so you'd gain the confidence to actually talk to her.

“Leah, you want a couple shots?”

After around 20 minutes of dancing  you started to feel lighter, not drunk since you wanted to remember everything tonight.

You then scanned the crowd, looking for a specific blonde through the hundreds of heads.

“Look who's finally here” you turn around at the familiar voice and smile.

“Hey, i was just looking for you actually” you said matter of factly as she smiles at you

“I've been wanting to dance with you” she said looking up and down at you

“Is that so?” you say smirking at her, liking how confident she's acting. She smiles at you and grabs your hand, pulling you into the crowd of sweaty bodies.

Alessia starts screaming as ‘mr saxobeat’ starts playing,you laugh and start dancing with her, you watch how she dances, she looks good, really good, the way the simple black dress hugs her curves is driving you crazy, the disco lights shine on her skin, making her glow, you look at her in awe.

You then step closer to her, she smiles at you and grabs your wrists, placing your hands on her waist, you pull your bodies together, moving to the beat of the music, her arms go on your shoulders, your eyes not leaving each other, she lifts her drink in the air as you both sing along to the words of ‘she knows’, your fingers start tracing shapes on her waist and you feel her slightly shiver at your touch, you smirk at her and lean into her ear.

“You like that?” you whisper

“Shut up” she giggles, you then dig your fingers deeper into her waist, her laughing stopping as she lets out a shaky breath.

“Fuck” she curses softly, you laugh through your nose and relax your fingers, rubbing your hands up and down her waist trying to calm her down.

“Don't wanna move too fast now hm?” you whisper looking into her hooded eyes.

“Hmm yeah, let's take it slow” she smirks,her eyes locked on yours as she slots her leg between both of yours, putting slight pressure on your core, you let out a low groan.

“Oh fuck you” you laugh as she removes her leg. She giggles and creates some space between both of you.

“Let's go find lotte” Alessia suggests, you nod agreeing and let her hold your wrist, pulling you through the crowd.

It's gonna be a long night.

Yesssss that moment is going to be very crucial for Pete finally making the subconscious conscious in a way that he’s been otherwise avoiding. Like that situation forces him to bring his feelings (beyond the physical) to the forefront of their relationship and finally acknowledge that it has a real place there- even though we all know he’s been subconsciously acting on those feelings for a long while now. That moment is Pete finally looking in the mirror and realising exactly what he doesn’t want (with the stranger) and by default why that means he only wants it with Vegas instead.

It’s a very big moment for Pete because even though he is more shy/ reserved that moment will make it impossible for him to deny his feelings in any believable way anymore. And we all know he’s had that escape hatch sitting there ready for a while now in case he ever needed to back out and deny everything and protect himself. But Pete finally taking that step means he’s locking the escape hatch so if he ever did want to end things he won’t be able to fall back on a ‘denial of feelings’ excuse. He’s really placing his faith in Vegas there and even though he’s annoyed by the reality of the situation- still measuring it as a loss and win game, man does Vegas absolutely come in and deliver everything he’s asking for ;) no wonder they half destroy the bathroom stall by the time they’re finished with each other lmao

i did already go on a whole rant in a different post about how much i hate dulcy the dragon, but i wouldn’t say that’s much of a controversial opinion considering most people don’t know who she is 😭

i don’t have many tbh but i’ll share the few i do have

first off i don’t like sonic x that much and it’s definitely a lot of people’s favorite sonic show. i think there’s a generational difference, seeing as though my fav sonic show is sonic boom ���� i’ve only seen the first season so like my opinion could very well change if or when i finish it, especially cus i’ve seen clips of later stuff such as shadow and the chaotix being introduced and that seemed cool and a lot more interesting to me compared to the formulaic things i’ve seen so far. i think the argument that sonic is barely in his own show is a decent one too, bro literally never wants to do anything but nap and avoid chris (which i can’t blame him for that part). i personally also just haven’t gotten back into anime in general for several years becus i’m tired of the whole “you gotta wait for it to get better” type thing and i would rather just watch mindless stuff but everyone has their cup of tea and i don’t think it’s an inherently bad show at all either. it can never be as bad as the knuckles show…*shivers*. and ofc animation wise it’s fantastic and super nostalgic.

next hot take is about the song “almost dead” from shadow the hedgehog. it’s one of the most hated songs in the fandom however i LOVE it. i will blast that shit in my headphones thanks to the kind soul who uploaded it to spotify podcasts. the criticism that it doesn’t really match shadows character is valid, and it especially makes sense becus it was also in a horror movie. but as just a song in general my brain goes “ooo funny noises” and doesn’t really think about that part. i’d say the other infamously hated sonic song is sweet dreams from sonic 06 (and while i haven’t listened to it in awhile so i can’t be certain) i remember that song being pretty bad imo so i agree with that part at least

Last week after I played pressure with a friend and their friend I thought about what if we played dandy's world together and I thought of an ask that was something along the likes of will you be my dandy's world mentor can you teach me the ways of the dandy's world cause you know I'm still new to dandy's world and stuff 😭

uhh tbh its not too hard of a game ig?? really the best way to get good at it is to just play a lot,, im also not rlly the best at it lmao so uhh i might not be the BEST source,, but heres some general tips

these r basically all the game mechanics erm heres the wiki it is fandom unfortunately but uhh its all we got for now. also in game when u join theres a ? button in the corner which gives shorter rundowns id reccomend reading those first b4 this, i do think i probably repeated it a lot accidentally (i havent read it in like a year lmao) but its more simple (i tried to go a lil more in depth/give tips)

for main gameplay/avoiding twisteds just try to hide behind stuff and avoid big open areas,, machines r pretty easy for me bc i used to play rhythm games a lot (side eyes my fnf phase...),, you just click space when its in teh white/yellow area (clicking in teh yellow gives you come extra completion :3 this is rlly helpful) but uhh honestly if ur on computer theyre not too hard (according to other people) but when i play on mobile i feel like the button lags a lil so its easier if u press it a little early

Also always pick up research capsules!!!!!!1 they r client sided so ur not taking them from anyone :3 (unlike items and tapes,, always call out when u see a bandage/band or health kit/medkit since someone might need it especially if u have a distractor or healer) (this is actually one of the most annoying things in dw, its a huge stereotype that beginners always steal heals TwT) (also!! sprout and teagan need tapes for their ability so if u have one of those guys call out for those too,,, they usually tell ppl to save tapes at the start of runs!!)

id recommend checking the wiki to get good at trinkets for teh most part (thats what i did anyway) but it rlly depends on the character and what ur doing with them (distracting or extracting for the most part) but like if ur just starting ur not gonna have any anyways xd (you do get a free one for joining the studio tho! i got it bc i was already in teh studio b4 i even knew what a dandys world was bc i played flavor frenzy...)

idk if this is rlly important but my fav trinket is blue bandana! :33 its the trinket you get for getting 100% research on twisted boxten and i LOVE it sm, it boosts ur extraction speed but lowers the chance of skill checks but i get them a lot anyways so i think its fine (u might know this but if you collect 50% research on a twisted you get a description of them, and if you get 100% you get a trinket!! you will probably get the common toons pretty fast since they spawn a lot)(you also need 100% research on a main to get them (ex i NEED 100% research on shelly bc i wanna get her... i have 98... send help....)) i use blue bandana basically every time i extract

each floor theres 2 twisteds and 4 machines but you get more as u go up (how fast it changes depends on the number of people, in a solo you get 3 on floor 13 i think?)(the machines also change but i forget the floor numbers) also theres 2 capsules for every twisted (so starts w 4 capsules total) which gives u 1% research on them, and getting seen by a twisted gets u 5%, but only the first time they see you on that floor

Anyways in the ele you get dandys shop on odd floors and cards on even floors (teh game describes this as getting dandys shop when going to an even floor and cards when going to an odd floor but that sounds kinda confusing imo)

Dandys shop is pretty self explanatory, he sells items for different amounts of tapes (you get tapes by picking them up off the ground (they come 5 at a time) or by doing basically anything- finishing a machine, using an item, etc) if you dont buy from dandy 2 times he gets mad, and after the third time of not buying theres a chance of twisted dandy spawning,,, every time u dont buy after that the chance goes up until its basically guaranteed, hes lethal so he always kills u in one hit regardless, but hes also slow and and plays music so hes not THAT hard to escape. but yeah if you buy b4 he spawns he gets nice again and the chance resets to 0, the chance also resets to 0 after he spawns so you have to wait 3+ floors again. also some ppl say that buying from dandy increases/decreases main chance. neither of these theories r true dandy has no effect on main chance if someone says that laugh at them for being gullible/j /lh

And cards r a bit different! basically 3 cards appear on screen and each gives a different effect- some of my favs r Tech Savvy, which makes machines get completed 5 sec faster, Covetous/Avaricious which makes it more common for rarer items to spawn, First Aid/Medical Attention which heals everyone by 1 heart, and like a billion more. they all have descs tho so u dont need to memorize or anythign lol, basically theres a vote and u just click the card u want and after like 5 sec the card w the most votes applies its effect!! the effects r permanent (so Tech Savvy makes machines 5 sec faster for the rest of the run) also ive heard a lot of confusing things abt cards, i dont think theres a limited number of each one but erm idk

11 i do like horror too, and the bits with BTs gave me that experience of intense scared!!!! That i love in horror games. While also being able to avoid those intense parts of the game when i wanted to chill instead

12 if you like the story i greatly suggest playing on the easier modes, if you find the bosses or BTs hard but want to get through the game. I played on very easy and it was chill while still being a little scary - i imagine easy and medium would have more intense boss fights if you'd like a small challenge but still ultimately chill. I wanted the story, and im glad i got it. I might replay on a harder difficulty if i want to get more scared/intense.

13 the game was really well designed. Idk how to word it, but what i mean is the gameplay works very well with the themes of the game, the plot all comes together and makes sense (so if you just started or only saw a trailer - it does eventually make sense), i really enjoyed the whole combined experience

14 the game makes you soothe a baby whenever u fall or the baby gets scared. Very interesting to me to build in that feature in a game grown men play, when its usually just a feature of dolls given to small girls. It definitely made me feel more attached to Lou

15 also a lot of baby pov views in some cutscenes. Given where the story goes, interesting use of them

The only situation where he might be on the table like this is if he can't hit the q ball (white one) but from the positioning, HE CAN HIT IT JUST FINE WITHOUT GETTING ON THE TABLE LIKE THIS.

Next and my biggest issue: What the actual fuck is that arm positioning. Congrats Artem, I hate it.

If he's going to hit like that it messes up aim. he might hit the ball too low or it might not even hit the balls he wanted to. In the video, he did hit too low, and maybe with a bit too much force. The ball is going to bounce and completely miss the ball he's trying to hit if it's anywhere near the q ball, but even if it didn't bounce it's going to completely fuck up his shot.

IN FACT HE SHOULDN'T EVEN BE IN THAT POSITION TO START WITH. The only time when you have the pole raised higher than barely above the table is when you have a ball near the q ball and you're trying to avoid touching it by accident (that's a foul). THERE'S LITERALLY NOTHING HE MIGHT ACTUALLY HIT SO ARTEM IS MESSING UP HIS SHOT FOR NO REASON WHAT IS HE DOING

🧊: How do you get over writer's block?

mostly i... don't. like, if there's a period when im not motivated to write, i just end up not writing? or, hm, let's tease out what is "writer's block", bc it can mean a few different things imo.

firstly, there's "im not writing Anything" style block, which ive kind of been in most of the past year (pre-october! october brought my mojo back lol) - this is normally bc you have something Else going on, and there's neither motivation nor inspiration. this, i just let pass - i'll feel bad about it while it's going on, it feels like you're fighting a giant bouncy castle on top of you, but... it just has to be allowed to stay. sleep, eat, do whatever. the writing will come back once the outside issue is gone.

second is "i want to write the next part of This but i don't know how" - oh hello akkayan superhero/villain fic, hello ella enpranted, hello dead!black dead!dan seanwhiteyok fic!! now with this one, i do struggle. there's motive but no inspiration, or, worse, there's inspiration but it's refusing to be words for some reason. this one i try to fight by assembling my notebooks around me and also a bunch of scrap paper pilfered from work, and then i try out some "what if it was this" scenarios until one starts looking like a story.

third is "opening this doc makes me want 2 die". i delete the doc and mourn for the story and, near-inevitably, end up rewriting it from memory like three weeks later, finished and perfect. works for me!

🫖: If you had a tea party with your blorbos you write the most, how would it go?

so me, ray, akk, and white, i guess - there are other characters i write a lot, there are other blorbos, but these are the guys that sit at the centre of that particular venn diagram. i reckon white and ray would obliterate one of those little cake towers you get at a fancy afternoon tea. akk and white would get along. i would remain silent and take notes for my purposes.

🎵: Do you create playlists for your fics?

i have mutuals and irls who might hunt me for sport for what im about to say, but i basically don't create playlists for anything.

if i like the song it goes in my liked songs, which enters my eternal shuffle. when im writing a fic (or thinking about a character) i'll just skip the ones that i can't possibly make fit - the rest, i picture my mental fanvids along with them.

one of my personal best fics, honestly. sean/yok friendship hits the sweet spot of clearly deep understanding, and affection, and (just as important) shared stupidity... and equally deep betrayal. i fucking loooooove that shit. this fic was written for one of the one year of not me prompts, and i also love writing to limitations!! but those aren't things i like about the fic. so:

yok insisting on calling sean's room "the forbidden chamber" bc he wasn't allowed inside until they fucked. i mostly remember writing that bc i liked the idea of yok realising white got inside after knowing sean for like a day and being upset, but also the line is about sean's privacy and yok teasing him and respecting it at the same time.

yok avoiding eye contact when sean makes an opening for him to make a dirty joke; sean noticing, but not pointing it out, in case yok asks about his love life rn. missed moments.

one of the "marks" being the gunshot wound, haha.

my rant

tw: talks about weight increase, low self-esteem, moderate anxiety, procrastinating tendencies. this is also extremely long.

i just really need to talk/vent about it.

the worst part about being a "casual" gamer is, you never know when you might get addicted with it. i play genshin and CoD, while cod doesn't interest me as much anymore and i only ever played genshin for like twice a month but recently- genshin has been taking over lol, i played 3 hours of genshin alone yesterday and mind you- i've already finished all the archon (main) quests and i'm still playing it!!! (this is called procrastination)

and this is not just limited to computer games no, i once was obsessed with aerobics gymnastics and was practising it all around my house (before corona struck and i physically became unable to do many tricks cue *decreasing flexibility/strength/stamina and everything after i got sick. after aerobics, my hyper-fixation was basketball and i would play it for around 2-3 hours everyday, my body slowly started getting better and my love for sports and gym was ignited again but then i entered into the senior year of my school and i had to inevitably focus more on my studies because i still can't see myself being an athlete/sportsperson even though i really love sports.

now, i was a science major in my high-school (my core were - phy, chem and bio) and i had always been a hardworker but i started getting burnt out, the more i strayed away from staying active and being fit, the more of couch potato i became. i somehow started studying nicely again, but got corona in sept.2022 and was on bedrest for two weeks, my schedule was a mess again. during that time, it were only my high-school extracurriculars (anchoring, debating, basketball, student council) which were keeping me happy along with a few friends (who in future became insecure of everything i was doing and shut me off by calling me "fake", that shit hurt.) and because i had missed 2 weeks of school and was already behind the syllabus by myself because of improper time management, so i developed anxiety- i only realised this after i had a mental breakdown in school for 2 minutes which i wasn't able to control instantly. (my anxiety is moderate and i don't need any medicines for it- i just need to keep my schedule productive and avoid procrastination.) i realised that i was quite behind and that i needed to do something so i did, i shut myself off and studied for 3 months without any outside exposure or anything- but that made me gain weight, from a 54kg 5'7 girl, i went on to a 68kg and because i got sick just immediately after, my weight increased to 70kgs. now, don't get me wrong- i love my body, i still like the way i look but, i don't feel healthy and i don't think you can understand how nerve-wrecking it is for a person who could run 5km without a worry pant after 500m. it was really... and i mean really heart-braking, more than my weight gain, it was my inability to do anything which made me more and more insecure about myself.

my anxiety, my newly acquired low self-esteem were adding fuel to my already procrastinating tendencies.

now. that is the main issues- i am a procrastinator, and for some reason i'm unable to fully get out of it and i get even more anxious when my days are going unproductive which they are!

i didn't score bad in my high-school finals, my scores of normal college entrance exams were good enough to fetch me into a top 3 college of our nation for b.sc but- i didn't want that. even though all my other exams went well, i seriously fucked up my medical entrance examination. i thought to take a drop year but im seriosuly scared because i don't think i did anything fruitful this year and i just feel like i wasted an year of my life and my main exams are in 4 months and im really really getting stressed out because the selection rate is only the top 1-2% among 2 million applicants, talk about competition lmao.

see, i am aware that i can do it, i don't know if it is arrogance or optimism but i know that if i really do give it all- my blood, sweat and tears and everything- i know that i'll do better, i will be able to score enough to get a medical college- but the thing is, i feel like i am scared to start and i don't want to be.

i want to- i need to work hard to better than my present-self, i need to work out to get my stamina, strength and flexibility back. and even if i fail- i atleast worked hard, i just don't want to regret anything which i am doing, i need to get out of this slump and i need to convince myself to get up and atleast try everyday. because i seriously seriously think that regret is probably the worst emotion you could feel and i don't want to spend my life regretting my decisions.

i just- had to get it off my chest lol. thankyou for reading this all.

i promise you, i'll be a great doctor one day and will clear this exam with every courage i am able to muster.

hello friends! i wanted to talk about paper mario: the thousand year door bc i recently finished it! a lot of you might not have heard of it (it came out like 20 years ago lmao) but it was recently remastered and released for the switch!

anyway, i LOVED this game as a little kid but i never was able to beat the final boss BUT I FINALLY DID TODAY god it was so satisfying (it wasn’t difficult, i was just a dumb kid LOL) but ahhhh i highly recommend it if you get the chance! it’s your classic jrpg and the difficulty isn’t too bad and the dialogue is unhinged, it’s a good time

also! while playing, i noticed some changes that weren’t in the original game, not that they affected the overall plot, but one of them made me genuinely so happy (heavy spoilers, it’s a 20 year old game lmao but just in case)

ahhhh i remember when i was younger, i looked up random trivia for the game several years after playing it and i found out that one of the main characters (vivian) is a trans girl! it was explicitly stated in the japanese version of the game but english localization left it out, mostly likely due to avoid backlash bc 20 years ago was a different time. but ya, bc english left out that fact about vivian, there were a lot of debates about whether she’s actually trans or not and lot of ppl that played the game in english were saying stuff like “well, they never said vivian is a transwoman in my game, so she’s not” and it’s like.. okay ugly

but like i said, they made several text changes in the remaster of the game and one of them FINALLY CONFIRMS VIVIAN IS TRANS IN THE ENGLISH VERSION OF THE GAME

idk like vivian is my fave character in the game so seeing her getting the respect she deserves so many years later is just so.. 🥹 and im a bit late finishing the game compared to other ppl that got it 2 months ago but im just picturing all the neckbeards that denied vivian being trans for so long playing the remaster and getting hit with an egg straight to their face when they get to this particular scene

ahem anyway 10/10 game, pls play it if you can!
