RAHHH a drawing of all the sillies currently occupying my brain right now. Funny thing is!! My last LN related drawing was posted almost exactly a year ago!! how funny! Close-ups and yapping under the cut

I'm running on 3 hrs of sleep bc i stayed up till 5am to make this and then i had a neurologist appt at 8 so!!! (i got officially diagnosed with adhd or add we win, i already forgot which one he said but i get my meds tmrw!!) I might take a nap after this im so exhausted. ANYWAYS.!!! i love. flowey and clover friendship no one start yelling at me abt how flowey didnt care!!! theyre best friends to me!!!! and it works out as im a clover kinnie nd floweys been my comfort character for years now. we win. I don't think monsters really had binders at first (dont use bandages btw guys, dont be like Starlo was!!11) I think the first time one fell into the trash dump or wtvr someone picked it up and then once figuring out its uses just!! boom!! business!! figuring out how to safely make more and!!! finding ways to accommodate certain monsters with different body types!! esp with the spikes and such. Ceroba def helped Starlo out with his bandages often before they were able to get him a binder. the one where clovers drawing is !! an idea of revived!clover or clover staying in the underground in hiding. Martlet got him that shirt :)) and obv the bell earring is from Ceroba. sorry to all my cotl followers i STILL have no colored the 5 body refs of both narinder and lambert. I picked the colors here on a whim so uhmmm it's not official!!! not yet anyways!! i do like what i used for Narinders fur tho, so that might stay idk yet i hte coloring BNJKNKSD i colored this whole thing on a wild impulse.. thus staying up all night. I think clover would really enjoy waterfall if they were ever able to visit it after or during the whole soul thing. It's peaceful and beautiful and also one of my fav areas in base game sooo :) i missed my LN kids. I reread Raccoons on ao3 and remembered how much i loved them and their silly lil dynamic. im a #1 six defender btw i WILL throw hands if u say some wrong shit abt her. mono, less so bc i think a lot of people have a good grasp on his character now but six is ALWAYS villainized. Has been for years nd it ticks me off bc?? she was right for her actions kinda?? not really?? ofc both characters made bad choices that lead to it but dont disregard her feelings either? idk its a whole thing i cant get into on THIS post. a lot of the doodles are just random moments like Six in the Maw with their bigass keys and locks, maybe its one of the ones to the kitchen and thats why she's rushing :D? finally deciding to make an about me post yippee yay!!

Hi my name is Crow! Most of what I reblog is fandom stuff, and I jump between fandoms quite frequently <//3 I have a few that I tend to come back to regularly however (Somehow I manage to have a dragon age obsession at least once a year. it is very consistent)

If I don't respond to something, it is either bc 1) I genuinely don't know what to say and social interactions terrify me, 2) I was too tired to respond to something when I saw it then I promptly forgot about it or 3) got anxious and convinced myself that the person who sent it hates me or something. Deepest apologies I'm just awful at stuff like that and have pretty bad anxiety I do try though <//3

I block very very generously! If you do end up blocked by me it may not be for any actually bad reasons, you could have just worded something in a way that mildly annoyed me, please dont take offense to it lmao. Me and the block button are madly in love, and I do not hesitate to press it. This is mostly just to curate an experience that is fun for me, and also to avoid me getting overly mad about random bad takes i see. Bigotry of any kind is not tolerated and you will be blocked.

Aviae Surana

(she/her)

Aviae is my main dragon age origins oc, and I talk about her quite a bit. Shes specializes in spirit healing/arcane warrior/battle mage. Technically she also takes a little bit of levels into keeper, but I don't really consider it one of her canon class since I never use it with her like I do the others.

She romances Morrigan, and does the dark ritual with her. She puts Alistair on the throne due to her distrust of Anora. She feels guilty about it, but she would do it again in a heartbeat. Her closest friends from Origins are Zevran and Alistair, but she considers all of the people she traveled with dear friends. From the Awakening crew, Anders is practically family to her (they grew up in the Circle together, and shes always considered him like a brother), and Nathaniel becomes someone she ends up relying on. Her and Justice also get along very well, even if they butt heads on occasion.

For important decisions, she sided with the mages, made Bhelen king of Orzammar, made a truce between the Dalish and the werewolves, helped Redcliffe and saved Connor without Isolde dying. She kept Avernus alive (I'm still in the air about whether she allows him to continue his research), let the Architect live as well, and saved Amaranthine. Vigil's keep stood its ground with the upgrades she had provided it.

This is my girl! Sadly I don't have a better reference for her current canon outfit (she has an old outdated reference sheet though), so this will have to do.

In some of the older posts, I refer to her and Alistair as exes. Sadly, while this is a fascinating dynamic, it is not canon anymore. As much as I love Alistair, Aviae would not trust him enough to fall in love with him due to him having trained as a templar. Eventually they become close friends, but never more than that. She is part of my "Mage rights" Worldstate. I tag all of her posts as "oc: Aviae Surana"

Relationships with companions:

Alistair: These two. Most fucked up friendship ever happens between these two. At the start of the game, she's wary of him, due to his templar training, but the two eventually become close friends. Of course, this is completely fucked up by the Landsmeet. Aviae originally tells Anora that she will support her (this is a bold faced lie), and does NOT inform Alistair of her deceit. Then, once actually at the Landsmeet, she puts Alistair on the throne, sucessfully twisting the knife in both alistair AND anora. Two birds one stone, as they say. Trying to make up for it, she promises to help him lead, to stay by his side and advise him. This placates their relationship for a while, making them a bit less awkward around each other. However. However. Aviae lied. Well, she didn't MEAN to lie. But when the final fight is over, Aviae's mental health tanks for the worse, and she struggles coping with Morrigan leaving her. She feels guilty over being alive, all that shit yada yada. She doesn't even stay in denerim a week before she ditches and travels with Zevran (well. It was more of Zevran going "Aviae my dear friend, if you stay here it will kill you. Do you want to stab people. Would that make you feel better. Lets go stab people"). This completely shatters what little of a friendship the two had. When Awakening rolls around about three months later, their reunion is. Tense. And awkward. For everyone there. They don't properly have a conversation after this until many, many years later.

Morrigan: Ohhh these two. Now that im sitting here trying to type something up nothing is coming to me but man. They both longed for freedom most their life; Aviae from the Tower, and Morrigan from her mother. Aviae ends up with a small crush on Morrigan from the moment they meet, and it only grows as time passes. Morrigan takes a bit longer to accept her feelings, but eventually they enter a relationship. Despite the fondness they hold for each other (not that either of them are willing to say it), they argue quite a bit throughout origins. About the mages, about the elves in denerim, about the anvil. Somehow they always end up snapping at each other during this time. Despite it all, they both care so so deeply. And it terrifies both of them. They both have problems admiting how deeply they care (aviae because of growing up in the Circle, Morrigan bc of a multitude of things lmao). On the Eve of the final battle, Morrigan and Aviae do a ritual to keep her from dying. Morrigan admits she plans to leave, and Aviae is hurt beyond words. Despite this, she promises to come after her, and gives her the Warden's Oath (necklace containing blood from the joining) as a token of her love. Morrigan leaving does a number on Aviae's mental health, but the two reunite at the Eluvian and go to raise Kieran together.

in reference to the tags of this ask

So like. A really huge part of what Scar's plan entails in canon-- and yes, it's Scar doing this partially on purpose-- is the inherent kindness of the hermits. You bring a starving, dying man back into the fold, and you can absolutely bet that the VAST majority of hermits will at LEAST let him stay until he's healthier again. This is a deliberate move on Scar's part!!! The urgency of the situation (plus the familiarity) creates more of an incentive to let Grian in and then let him linger, which gives him a chance to grow his roots again and make up with the hermits. Scar wants him home again, permanently, and in this game its basically ALL about buying time.

So what happens when you take away that sense of "he's gonna die if we dont keep him here" urgency?? Well...

Well, in an au where Grian fessed up instantly abt the starving and making games when confronted, there's a lot more room to think about it. In some ways, hunger!Grian's canonical reaction to shut down and just let them furiously throw them out was a lot kinder and ultimately worked to his advantage-- nobody got any answers, so they started looking. People are more willing to talk to him if only to understand why. There's a clear element of "i was just doing this to survive and i feel fucking horrible about it" that is,,, pretty undeniable when you've got the person in question self-harming pretty severely about it. And yes, there's pity. Not always a bad thing, and in this case thats the element Scar is deliberately tugging on to make Grian's stay a bit more palatable until he can reintegrate himself

But when you have time to think about it, without that immediate evidence, without that sense of raw urgency sorta blanketing everything so people dont question as much-- what you get is a more measured, and ultimately more negative outlook. The hermits OF COURSE take the time to help Grian figure out how to feed without using people's emotions. They're kind like that. They do care. But theres now more time to think about this, more time to decide yeah, thats valid, sure, but he still used us and hurt a lot of us and also we didnt consent.

Essentially, what im getting at here is that in a hunger au variant where Grian fesses up immediately, the hermits do help him figure out a way to feed without relying on others... and then when thats all sorted out, a vote is called, and Grian is politely but firmly requested to leave. So he loses them anyway, and without the benefit of a mystery to help bring him back.

Thats not to say the vote wasnt awfully divided, there were plenty of people who were at the very least okay with him staying. But with more time and less distance to think things out, a lot of the folks who fall into the "wary but willing to hear him out" category in canon (i have a whole chart fiejfjdj) ended up moving to the "we dont want him here" side of things because they found themselves understandably uncomfortable with the situation and the harm caused by it to others. To their friends.

Basically, its enough of a majority vote to get Grian kicked anyway and without an opening to return. And in this au, i dont think he would return. The au as i have it outlined is that Grian ends up spending years alone on a singleplayer world, falling into his grief and into the rote cycle of surviving but not thriving, until Iskall (one of the people who wanted him to stay) meets him in a market hub and eagerly gets back in touch with him.

Its very much one of those aus that really SQUEEZES your heart, bc its about the loneliness, and the emptiness of losing your entire community, and knowing it is your fault. Its about what happens when you fully isolate because of guilt and forget what its like to be happy because you wont LET yourself be happy. And its about relearning what its like to be a person instead of personified misery. The recovery in that au is SO much harder, so much of a more difficult road (which is saying smth considering canon's is already super difficult), and takes a lot more time and effort on Grian's part. Its a good au, one im really sinking my teeth into and chattering about in dms, but my gods is it significantly worse in many ways to canon hunger au

I was tagged by @npdclaraoswald for this fanfiction tier tag game, and I decided to make a new post for it bc the other one was long and I wanted the freedom to be wordy without making it even longer lol. Ty for tagging me!

Most of these are really fandom/character/ship/vibe dependent, like eg I love groundhog day fics when they’re fun and plotty, not usually when they’re symbolic and meditative.

My favourite kind of darkfic is ‘premises that bring out characters’ flaws to be explored in extreme ways’ moreso than ‘random bad shit happening’ but it’s all good.

I love crack premises taken seriously but actual crack fic is almost always bad imo. but this might be a differing definition thing.

Some of my favourite fics are comedies, but imo you have to be really good to pull it off so I don’t usually seek them out

Most full AUs disinterest me but the more original they are the more interested I am.

I usually dislike the comfort part of the hurt/comfort formula because I don’t enjoy the fantasy of a partner being perfect and knowing exactly what to do to make someone feel better and heal them. I end up feeling bad for the partner who’s constantly selflessly bending over backwards lol. However if it’s like, the comforter kinda sucks and it’s realistic and it gets worse before it gets better etc? That’s good shit.

I hate soulmates as a concept.

I like angst but not melodrama so major character death is much lower because ime it usually falls into melodrama. I prefer a light touch.

Omegaverse occasionally hits the spot depending on exactly which worldbuilding tropes they’re leaning on and the dynamic, but it’s almost always the opposite of what I want.

Slow Burn is one of my faves when done well but it has to be really well paced and plotty.

I interpreted first kiss as “first ever kiss for the character(s)” rather than a couple’s first kiss and I’m not into focusing on inexperience and virginity so boo.

Unrequited love really depends on the ship for me, I either love it or hate it lol.

I’ve read and enjoyed amnesia fics but only within v specific parameters (ie enemies where one forgets they’re enemies).

There is nothing I like more than fic with bad endings but only when done in certain ways. I’m talking more along the lines of ‘characters’ fatal flaws bring about their tragic endings’ than ‘melodramatic sobfest where one of the characters has cancer and dies’

Okay so first of all i am so sorry for anyone whos dash was flooded with the insanity i sent, i knew it was log as hell, but i just opened it on phone and i am slightly embarrassed! Maybe it should be tagged long post or something bc holy shit hh

Okay, so about chars in gacha: there are more types of chars than in genshin. Genshin only has 4 and 5 stars, while honkai has B, A, S ranks and also SP valks (which ill get to) B ranks are your starter valks, A ranks are 4 stars, S ranks are 5 stars, and SP valks are like... More farmable? They are made to rank up, it actually unlocks a lot of skills they have, and its relatively easy to do so. Also, contrary to genshin, another good thing about this games gacha for chars, is the fact that anything that isnt a '5 star', so an S rank, is completely free. You can farm for them on stages, or buy their fragments, or even get them from events when they first come out! Youll probably see that soon with the new valk, she's gonna be an SP valk, and youll get her just by playing her event, just like every other new not S rank valk that's ever come out. You'll also be able to buy her fragments and stuff, as she is an SP valk, and is made to be ranked up. So, any valk you get from gacha that isn't an S rank will not be limited. They will be available at some point in the story stages, or the shop, or in many other gachas for other characters ( but its best not to pull for them then, yeah? Theyre literally free, dont pull on an S ranker you already have to get an A rank, its not that shitty here, farm for them instead) so, thats about that i think. In conclusion, any char that isnt an S rank is fully free (esp as they come out) and available to rank up.

About ranking up in general. You can go from B all the way to SSS, right? It takes time, and is kinda hard to do sometimes. So, should you? Depends on who you wanna rank up. Anyone under S ranks is free to rank up bc their fragments are free to get, but not always worth it. Think of who you wanna use, who you should use, and act accordingly. I'll tell you, you should have everyone at least at S rank. S rank is the rank where they have most of their good/necessary skills unlocked, it should be the base (not for B ranks, the starter chars in this game are as useless as it gets) Which is why, if you get an S rank from gacha you should leave em like that! Unless you're rich and want your "5 star constellations", like a w-w-w-whale... Anyway, as I said, S ranks aren't free to rank up (most of the time) and take just as much to as in genshin, except its even more useless. There are some farmable S ranks in the store though! You can rank them up if you want! It usually helps more, as most of them are quite old by now, which is the reason they're in there, and need that to be useful still. But the ones that cost both of the purple things at once are still very much useful, and you should get them if you can! They're relatively new and very helpful! Another thing to talk about would be augmentations! Idk if you know about those yet, but some rly bad old suits were so bad and useless, that the devs basically remade them (which is sth im rly hoping genshins devs wanna do at some point too, its rly cool) Some battlesuits like rozalia, violet executer, the basic fu hua one i forget the name of and the long sworded mei i also forget the name of can be augmented, changing their entire kit, buffing them in a major way, and it even gives a new free skin if you get them to lvl 4 out of 6 aug lvls! Roza and VE are free in the store for that reason despite being S ranks, and can be upgraded, nay, should be upgraded to SS at least. They become kinda like SP valks. I like them though, they're some of my favourite battlesuits. And free! So if you ever need, lets say, a psy type lighting valk, and you dont have this games ei (HoT, surprisingly called Raiden Mei) look into getting Hawk of the Fog instead (the fu hua i mentioned). So in conclusion:

Any char that isn't an S rank you got from gacha is free to farm, and you should never pull on a supply just to get an A rank! That would be wasteful and dumb! But yeah, i get the genshin gacha has conditioned us to act this way ofc, but not in this game. Also, if forgot to mention, A ranks get their banners too, but why would you pull for them if they're free? If youre rich and cant wait for the event, i guess. But you dont have to pull on those, bc any A rank out there is free to grind for. And about ranking up in general: if its lower than S rank, go for it! If you use them a lot, go for even higher! If it starts off at S rank, maybe don't but who am I to say what you can and cant do. If you wanna do it just because, go for it i guess. Its gonna cost a lot for very little in return though. Exception from that rule is the farmable S ranks in the store! Rank em up however much you wish depending on who you use! And don't be afraid to get new chars by grinding for them either!!!! You'll have all A ranks that way sooner or later, and youll know what you want and who to rank up. Its free content, so why not right?

Oh also, i guess i should mention too, though ive already talked about it some: old characters are usually not worth it. And esp now, you should rly focus on getting the op new characters while theyre available, as youre still new, and while the story stages are real easy and even give you some characters instead of using your own sometimes, the abyss stuff gets real hard real fast, and practically impossible if you dont have the right type of damage on the right type of valk! And their gear, too. So, unless you wanna hold off on competitive crystal hunting, and focus on the story, you should think of who you wanna get first, and then who should get later. A little list of valks i have would be: Herrscher of Sentience (best valk in the entire game as far as physical damage and support goes from a single valk, also by far the most fun in my opinion, get her if you dont have her yet, she is indispensable and so much fun to use), roza or elysia from store for physical dps, HoT ((m)ei) or Mobius for lighting, N-EX or Herrscher of Reason for ice damage, Herrscher of Flamescion for fire, and then all the support for each of them from the store, such as starlit astrologos for physical, haxxer bronya for ice, fischl and rosemary for lightning, and phoenix for fire (or her counterpart i forget the name of (yin and yang lookin ass) but she's also from gacha only, so second best would be phoenix from the store)

-I swear its amazing how much people believe him.

-When he is the impostor he legit kills everyone in 0.5 seconds.

-Goes on a killing spree killing 4 crewmates on his own in a matter of seconds while you on hte other hand have been trailing white from the start of the game. 

-You always get ejected no matter what. 

-Mostly because you always find the bodies..... and Dabi is a lil shit and says he saw you venting or killing.

-Got voted off once and almost burned his bed. 

-He got really REALLY frustrated because for the first time in forever no one believed him.

-Can’t really play??

-Can’t do tasks and always self reports. 

-He’s just dumb. 

-Dumb and easily distracted. 

-You’ll be playing next to him and he will be watching you game.

 -And then he will see you go near him and he’ll wake up from his trance and try to get away. 

-But fails.

-Like fails miserably. 

-Gets chopped in half in no time.
