#found my school poetry book from 4th grade#it has a variety of poetry prompts and 10 y/o me’s version of the assignment#makes me think more about me as a kid#and as I’ve grown up how I’ve idolized my younger self and always strived to make her proud of me#but like#however much I wanna stay true to her roots#and her vision of me#im also wayyyy fuckin smarter than that kid#so I think I gotta keep reminding myself that I need to keep a healthy balance of pride for myself as a kid#and self assurance in myself as a human living in the moment where I am now#slav#slav every day#voltron#it’s like that hank green talk about having no obligation to your former self#but also young me was swag as hell#so idk
