growing up in a constant state of defense makes it kinda hard to not resort to the same over-explaining borderline desperate thing i did as a kid whenever a mistake was pointed out to me . more specifically i cannot STAND being held accountable for something SOMEONE ELSE did but i know if im like "it wasnt me. i did not do that. that did not happen because of me." it prolly wont be too good a look ... so i just nod and go "of course sir/ma'am, i'll make sure that doesnt happen again" even tho im ripping my hair out on the inside coz i dont make those sorta mistakes!!!!!! it wasnt me!!!!!!
