Hello it’s extremely late oops. Did not realize how long this thing would take (28 and a half hours apparently according to procreate lmao) but finally, here it is!

Carmen Week Day 8: La Femme Rouge

Holy crap that was a lot of characters! For day 8 I wanted to draw all the ways I've drawn/imagined Carmen over the last 5 years! There are many I didn't do for one reason or another, but it mainly boiled down to space lol. These 10 (11 including canon Carmen) are (most) of my favorites of my AUs :)

as usual, i'll gladly answer asks about em :) i have plans to write a few for sure, but it's gonna be A While for them lol

Cat:

Both a Warriors AU and also just my "_____ as a cat" style!

This ones a lot less fleshed out so just bear with me lol. (ATM there might only be 2 clans, ACME and VILE, idk yet lol. idk what to name em either cos stickin "clan" on the end don't feel right XD)

In the Warriors AU, Sheeppaw grows up learning 2 contradictory versions of the Warrior Code: The true one from Shadowstalk, and the VILE version from older warriors. She gets made an apprentice a couple moons early, but is relegated only to camp duties until shes 6 moons old.

She trains alongside Cracklepaw, Tigerpaw, Molepaw, Goatpaw, and Silentpaw. At her first gathering she meets another apprentice, maybe a few moons older, from the other clan: Jewelpaw. The two hit it off and become good friends (and develop little mutual crushes). Sheeppaw also sneaks out and meets a kittypet: Player, who she also becomes very good friends with.

When her mentor, the deputy, Shadowstalk fails her on her final warrior assessment she pretty much has most of the same reaction as the show, just in the WC style.

After witnessing a murder, she hightails it out of there and encounters the newly named Crackletail. Panicked, she hastily and vaguely tells him she saw something and needs to Leave.

She makes it to Players yard and lays low for a while, and he introduces her to the neighbor cats, a sibling pair named Zack and Ivy. The four brainstorm and Sheeppaw is renamed Carmen. They know they cant let VILE keep doing what they're doing. So rogue Carmen and her kittypet friends start figuring things out from behind the scenes.

Pirate Cat:

Exactly as it says, bipedal cat world. Black Sheep was dropped off at a random orphanage in England, with a small stuffed black sheep (where she got her name). Since everybody are cats, Black Sheep isn't that atypical of a name. Sorta a mix of normal people names and cat names.

She grows up there alongside her self-appointed older brother Graham. When she's about 10-11ish she meets the princess: Julia Argent. Childhood friends to lovers letsgoo (its a recurring theme in these lol. its cute i like it).

The two eventually get together (in secret, yay homophobia and also societal status) It doesn't help that Black Sheep had a habit of getting in trouble so she could see the princess her princess.

The two get caught one night, and Black Sheep is nearly executed for "corrupting royalty", but Julia manages to talk her father down from that. Instead, she is exiled. If she ever sets foot in the kingdom after dawn, she WILL be killed this time.

Julia visits one last time, and Black Sheep promises to return someday when she finds somewhere where they can be together freely. She gives Julia her stuffed sheep to look after while she's gone, and asks her to take care of Fuega while she's gone (on one of their sneak-outs, they found a baby dragon that Julia managed to convince her dad to let her keep). Julia gives her the triangle choker. yay tearful goodbyes ;-;

Black Sheep and Graham (because no way is he letting his little sister go into exile without him) go from place to place, stealing when they need to and end up accidentally stowing away on a VILE pirate ship.

VILE pirate training to avoid death, they escape. Graham appoints the newly named Carmen Sandiego captain of their little ship, and they also pick up Zack, Ivy, and Player along the way. Carmen becomes very well known around the globe: civilians/lower class people see her as a Robin Hood hero (correct), while most royals and nobles see her as nothing but a filthy pirate (incorrect).

A few years go by when suddenly the crew gets word that the King of England is trying to marry off his daughter, who has recently come of age. Cue panicked race home + childhood lover reunion.

Daughter of Poseidon (Carmen Sandiego and the Olympians):

Percy Jackson AU! Replace Percy with Carmen, Grover with Player, Annabeth with Julia, and switch/move around some plot points and that's about it lol. I keep telling myself I'll do some scene rewrites of this one so we'll see. Includes PJO and HOO acting as prequels for Carmen Sandiego. Def wanna do dome rewrites for the canon show for this AU too lol

Dino Squad:

I'm out here combining one obscure kids show with another lol. If you haven't seen it, Dino Squad is this early 2000s animated show about these 5 teenagers that get mutated and can turn into dinosaurs, and go around stopping the bad guy from turning everything into dinosaurs. (I think the entire series may be on youtube lol. its goofy but man i loved it as a kid. i wanted dino powers so bad)

This is basically a high school au but most of Team Red has dinosaur powers. :P

In this, Dr. Bellum is experimenting with bringing dinosaurs back, but instead of just cloning them, she figures out how to mutate already-existing organisms into others.

(in the OG dino squad, the bad guy IS a dinosaur that evolved into a human--long story--and believes everything should still be dinosaurs. hes technically right, tbf, if the meteor hadn't hit they prolly still WOULD be dinosaurs. why does bellum want dinosaurs? because she's Bellum and she Can lol)

Carmen Wolfe and her twin brother Graham (they're fraternal twins. why? bc i thought it would be funny. yes he still has his accent. its my world i do what i want) are raised by Carlotta and Dexter Wolfe in Kittery Point, Maine. Carlotta is a paleontologist/biologist and Dexter is a history and geography teacher at the high school. They do know of VILE and what Bellum was working on and have been monitoring it in secret from the kids.

Carmen and Julia are those friends that met bc they were both hiding under the slide in like. Preschool and just stayed friends lol. They're the kind of best friends that will just. Show Up. usually Julia at Carmen's house because "You have better snacks" also Julia's parents just Don't Like Carmen. (Why? idk bc i said so. idk they think she's a bad influence. she's really not lol) Literally Julia has like a spot on the couch and a table setting. She's basically the third twin these three have known each other essentially their entire lives.

Zack and Ivy joined the group in middle school, when Ivy had the same class as Carmen, Julia, and Gray. Zack joined via association. (Zack and Ivy, on the other hand are not twins. again. bc its funny. each sibling pair thought the other was like them. zack and ivy thought Carmen and Gray were just normal siblings, and Carmen and Gray thought Zack and Ivy were twins. Julia had to explain to all of them it was not the case lol)

Player is Carmen's online friend that the whole group includes. they all game together and he gets ALL the public school tea. hes about the same age as Zack, so about a year-ish younger than Carmen, Gray, Ivy, and Julia.

At the end of their freshman year, Carmen and Julia start dating. Their friends and Carmen's parents know, they keep it secret from everyone else. At the end of the summer everybody (aside from Player) go to the beach for one last day of freedom before school starts. They swim through the mutant goo, and over the next few days discover their powers.

Carlotta IDs each dino: Carmen is a (large/person sized) pyroraptor, Gray is a T. rex, Julia is a troodon, and I still cant decide on Zack and Ivy's dino forms lol. Carlotta and Dexter explain the whole VILE thing and the group just kinda simultaneously goes "welp guess we're superheroes now. cool"

so yea dealing w highschool and also mutant dinosaurs and superpowers. this ones fun bc they can just be stupid kids lol

The Last Wolf:

My werewolf AU. The one that started all this mess and my love for making AUs of this show. It was my first fanfic i ever wrote, and it is very near to my heart. it's also gotten out of hand and become a franchise at this point it's ridiculous. (Seriously i've got a prequel of her parents planned and also a series of shorts set in the universe) It's gonna be a long ride, boys. Hope people still like CS by the time it's done lol

A Thief's Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse:

Zombie apocalypse AU! Talked about this one a bit for AU day, and also as of this post I have ~1k words written of the first chapter! I also have a bunch of the major plot points outlined too ;) I wouldn't expect anything soon tho lol.

She wears a wetsuit under the coat bc it's really hard to bite through, especially with rotten jaws. She's got some boots she probably scavenged or traded for, and of course: the Walkman she probably found looting some abandoned building. She collects cassettes to listen to. Gotta keep sane in the end of the world.

How is this one a literal apocalypse and its still more lighthearted than the one based on FNAF lol

Redd Wolf (Five Nights at Redd's):

FNAF AU. I've truly lost it lol. I have this one completely outlined, nothing written but a lot of things are VERY clear in my mind. This ones uh. a lot more intense than even Thief's Guide. It's FNAF. its immense violence and child death. Seriously, Carmen, Player, Gray, Ivy, Zack, and Julia all end up possessing animatronics at some point. It ends happily, but it is based off a horror thing so if that's not your thing b careful <3

its supposed to be more of a mystery that gets unraveled, but if anyone wants specifics of it u can drop an ask :) i only have animatronic designs for Carmen, Julia, and Gray so far tho. I have ideas for the others too.

This is one I wanna share with y'all at some point. its probably the shortest of the AUs I have outlined so far, so yk. maybe in this lifetime lol.

Carmen and the Age of Wonderbeasts:

Mega Jaguar Carmen. This ones more of a ~vibe~ than an actual plot but i like drawing mega jag carm :)

Plushie Dragon:

This one's not an AU, but actually based on doodles of these 2 plush dragons! Matching red/gold and blue/silver dragons named after carmen and julia lol. I'll get around to posting more drawings of em cause they're cute

Wings of Fire:

Wings of Fire AU! Carmen is a rainwing/skywing hybrid (rainwing dad, skywing mom) She can camoflauge, fly decently fast, and has a prehensile tail. She can't breathe fire or use typical venom, BUT she figures out her venom, while not face-melting by itself, IS in fact flammable. again, more of a ~vibe~ than a story and plot, but I like drawing dragons.

Canon Carmen:

She's front and center, the one that started all this.

Way back in 2019, the autism and ADHD departments in my brain came to an agreement: This show is the greatest show of all time.

It was the first fandom I actively contributed to/interacted with. (I still read fics from other fandoms before, but had never been active in a fandom) Like I mentioned with Last Wolf, I had never actually written fanfiction before, and definitely never posted it. I love writing and telling stories (and boy howdy do I have A Lot of stories rolling around my brain). between all of the AUs ive come up with, I've gotten to practice so much worldbuilding and characterization. English classes usually focused on expository stuff, with like. a brief fiction writing thing. So I've definitely gotten to stretch my creative writing muscles with this show, and hopefully I can put em to use on original projects someday <3

I fell in love with the first season, and got ridiculously excited for every new season and the interactive. (heck, i played every possible option for the interactive the day it came out, and binged every subsequent season the day they aired.)

This show has been a big part of my life the last five years, and the original show will always be special to me. It's the reason I started learning to draw people lol, I have a drawing of Carmen from 2020 that I'm still really proud of. It's hung on my bedroom wall to this day.

So thank you, Carmen Sandiego. For everything.

my thoughts on brothership!

(major spoilers edition!)

The first thing i need to address:

YOU.

the moment i saw him. It was all over. The collar, the dress, the spiked cloak...

- My God. I love reclusa. I love his little noises, his silly faces. I love it. We havent seen a twist final boss since pit (...ok techically bis too but. To a lesser degree). I love the angst between him and cozette. I wish he showed his true power more..? As cool as he is hes kind of underwhelming, especially compared to the lore tidbits we get on him. Too bad we will never see him again lol 💔

- the final boss fight itself was really underwhelming tbh. All this build up and I had him knocked out in like 10 turns without dying once. It doesnt help the music (while i like it!) doesnt stand up to the likes of the grand finale or even paper jam's final boss theme.

- I cannot believe there wasnt a single fawful cameo in the entire game. Like the fact cackletta fans ate So good yet there wasnt so much as a whisper of by far the most popular m&l character was.. baffling.

- reefs. As small as they were, i really liked the character choices. Zeekeeper and peasley were strange but incredibly based picks. Everyone got a little somethimg to eat, no matter what your favorite game is : )

what I dont understand about reefs is.. are they from mario and luigis world? Or were they natively in concordia prior? How do they know about peasley and the shroobs? Who made them? How? Why? The implications are all over the place.

-cozette. You poor thing. I love her. This kind of applies to the whole game but I wish they didnt just tell us the plot. Her reveal wouldve felt so much more significant if the great conductor didnt just spill the beans right before.

I forgot to mention it before but as much as I like snoutlet... he holds the players hand too much. Please. Let me figure out the puzzle myself. Let me connect the plot myself without you dumbing it down for my pea sized brain. Pleas.

- technikki and adaphne. I know the game heavily implies adaphnikki is endgame i just dont know how I feel about it... adaphne is just so mean to her for no reason. Even if they get along by the end, technikki shouldnt just lie down like a dog for her! She was so mean to her! And never even apologized! Idk im glad theres like 5 different ladies we can ship technikki with but this one is pushed so hard ingame..

- kind of a minor plothole but chilliam and burnadettes wedding. I thought it was really interesting how they portrayed the two as deeply in love, even if their own people refuse to accept it, but then the next cutscene later theyre all fine with it? Ok lol

so. the brother and i finished good omens season 2. im not gonna get over it quickly haha

may i first say, shoutout to david tennant for that insane acting!! everybody, of course, was so spot on, and everything felt very real to me. michael sheen, as well, did a truly fantastic job! but good grief … this season’s crowley was insane to me. so thank you david tennant for making me a bit crazier over one of my favorite characters ❤️

alright that said … the ending. the ENDING!!! good grief. oh my gosh. oh my gosh. that was incredible. i cannot stop thinking about crowley trying to profess his love (not even “profess his love” lmao, just try and do something about the love they were already sharing) and aziraphale cutting him off to invite him to go back to the most traumatizing place of both their lives.

it’s incredible to me how aziraphale almost doesn’t want (?) to see heaven’s wrongdoings. like, if angels fell, that was Their Fault for doing something wrong, if you do something wrong you have to get punished. even after the “”””trial”””” (for lack of a better word atm. hearing?) he insists to crowley that heaven is Good and Light and Truth when it just … clearly isn’t? it’s chock-full of ruthless angels who act kind and benevolent and say they’re working out the will of god, but they’re all willing to let people be hurt if it benefits them. (one of the things rattling about my brain specifically in terms of this is michael and uriel’s little argument through all of s2 over who’s in charge now that gabriel’s gone. they’re both being selfish and thinking of what they want instead of what’s best for each other or heaven at large. i consider this to be good sibling rep lol.)

idk ig i haven’t quite worked it all out in my own head yet but. WOW what an ending!!!

Ok so I don't actually have anything I feel like talking about doll wise atm, I prefer making one off posts here n there about the dolls I'm into on twt more than tumblr cause I feel like twt is better suited for one off thoughts while tumblr is better suited for dedicated n thought out posts, at least with how I use it. Which is why you see a lot more wips/shitposts from me on twt than tumblr. so instead I'll just show yall my current collection!!! ANYWAY long ass post time

I've been working on finding and filling out various release lines from different doll brands im fixated on and have been rearranging my collection set up a lot cause of it lol. My shit is scattered all around my room because of how me and my little brother have divided up space for us to display both of our separate collections of things (we are both autistic and insane about our special interests) so there's gonna be a lot of photos lol

TO BEGIN: here's my display case of all my old g1 Monster High dolls I managed to hold onto since I was a kid! I got all of these back when MH initially debuted (when I was around 8 or 9) and all of these dolls have survived through my childhood/teenage years, hence why they're not in super great shape unfortunately lol

the only exceptions to this being the Día de Muertos Howliday Skelita, since obvs that's a recent release, as well as the misc. dolls I have scattered around the top of the case, those are dolls that s0uless has gifted to me over the past 2 years teehee

Moving on, to my current collection of dolls I began purchasing for myself over the past year: starting with this set of shelves next to my bed! I'm mainly using this as my Bratz shelf, but I ran out of room to fit my Skultimate Secrets Fearidescent Dolls where I usually keep my Monster High dolls, so they're there for now.

I only have Jade's reproduction doll because when the Bratz reproductions first began releasing, I was being strict with myself about not indulging in dolls again so I only let myself get Jade since shes my fav. Which I'm sad about, cause I'd love to have all the girls together for both their 20th anniversary reproduction dolls and their Alwayz dolls together. Also, there's a spot left empty next to my Alwayz Cloe bc I have Not been able to find Alwayz Sasha in stores like ANYWHERE for the past 2 months, so I gave up and ordered her online. She'll be arriving here in a couple days!!

Next up is this series of shelves above my dresser that I mainly use to display misc. figures n other shit I've come to own since I was like 12 (you can tell bc of the MHA stuff lmao) but I recently cleared some space so I could fit my Skultimate Secrets Series 1 Dolls (and Spa Day Lagoona + Scare-adise Frankie and Draculaura) somewhere, as well as having a place to display my current set of LOL OMG dolls! And also Bank art doll cameo lmao

Then we have the top shelf of my desk, which mostly has various Knicks knacks compacted into a corner but I put my two LOL OMG Tweens together there, as well as my single Licca doll that s0uless got me for this past christmas and the custom doll they made of my sona for me! <3

(fun fact me and s0uless are currently in the process of making more custom dolls of Eb, Bank, and the triplets but you'll have to wait n see on that one hehe)

And finally for dolls, here's my desk setup, where I display my main Monster High dolls! I mostly just display each Signature Doll + Their Core Refreshes here, but Monsterball Draculaura didn't have space anywhere else so she gets to chill there too lmao

Thats it for my actual dolls, but I have two other photos to share, which is just how I set up my Skultimate Secrets Series 1 Lockers + where I put the posters that come with each Bratz doll I have lmao

i honestly cannot get over how much this scene from tfs

reminds me of terry stuck in her chair in st2

especially how much her dress is reminiscent of the sheet(?) over henry's lap, and arms in the same pose on the arms of the chair (yes, i know henry is tied down and that's the logical place to do it, but still). even the cuffs on her sweater are visually similar to that of the straps tying henry down

it took me a minute to connect the visual back to terry, but with the general context of the scene in question (brenner talking to henry about the kids in the lab, how he's been behaving well enough that he's now allowed to meet them, etc.) i was immediately looking at it like "this looks like a woman just coming out of a rough pregnancy/delivery who was barred from seeing the kids due to her acting out of sorts/unhealthily." and maybe it's just because of all of henward's mother coding (shoutout to mothergate and the post of all time by james) but with all the sa coding throughout tfs, the weirdness with henry's supposed relation to the lab kids, etc... i definitely feel like it's a connection we're meant to make

and while i don't have the full context from that tfs scene yet, james and em have also said that henry is way out of it in that whole sequence (and you can really tell in the still of him looking down at where brenner is touching him. he looks exhausted). which only further reminds me of terry, not just in the sense of her being involved in hnl drug programs and mkultra, but also her general state after she's been zapped (not to mention how terry has no real way to communicate other than these flashes of memories using her/el's powers, much like how atp henry has no real way to communicate the truth to anyone, including the audience, so we have to form our own conclusions based on the fragmented evidence we're given, but anyway)

which, speaking of...

sure, a ball gag and a bite block/mouth guard aren't exactly the same thing, but they could be used for similar purposes (in this case, to prevent biting. in the case of terry, to keep her from biting her own tongue. for henry? perhaps the same case, but likely also to prevent biting others if his arms are also strapped down)

and with the question of henry's relation to the lab kids/el specifically, it brings me back to the idea that el and jane might not be the same person at all and it was more of a mixup/el misunderstanding what terry showed her, etc. (which has been talked about countless times before by multiple people but i can't find the posts atm rip im so sorry)

and so if we're meant to make a connection between henry and terry with these visuals, plus with the whole "henry was being kept away from the kids for misbehaving" and "terry was punished for trying to find her child after she was taken from her" ... i feel like it's stupid to not draw a line between the two of them and reach the conclusion that henry fathered (or mothered) at least some of the lab kids. and to then see terry fight so hard to get jane back... only to be shown 001 (some version of henry) doing everything he can to save el as well?

anyway i can't remember where i was going with this post anymore lol. long story short, i think this new visual from tfs is just one more nail in the mothergate coffin, and henry definitely was used to breed more powerful kids, and the close tie to terry just makes me think that he really and truly fathered el

literally the pet rooms at work are the evillest not bc the pets are bsd at ALL theyve all been either well behaved or very timid and avoidant so its not like they get in the way. theyre bad bc my heart wants to just pet the kittys forever

#the other day enzo who is this very very sweet shihtzu was left in the room #usually he goes on a walk with his owner while im cleaning. yk. tbey walk to town #but that day rhey didnt go on a walk so enzo was in the room with me and he was very excited at first but then realized i couldnt play with #him and then he just sat by the door sadly Lol #hes a smart dog though i think he can tell when im working vs when im just hanging iut bc umm yesterday his owner had some stuff he needed #to tell me. and enzo was all over me jumping ip so i was just.petting him the entire time his owner was talking #theyre a very very sweet duo the guy is obsessed with his dog.. the guys name is angelo BTW. hes italian if you couldnt tell #but he like. writes poems for his dog and for his late wife and its all very very sweet. he loves enzo a lot :*?#it makes me so . like babyfever but for little doggy i literally want a dog so badly i Legitimately cannot get one right now but i want .#a little dog . i want one so bad #but. as i said i shant jntil i 1. am not Sleeping in a garage and 2. get my life under control #bc i can barely take care of myself atm and it just. yk. it wouldnt be responsible of me to get one #i prolly wont be ableAt least until i move out of this house #either back home or to a new place whos to say. not me i dont know i havent decided.#but yas. enzo is the onlyyy doggy i have in all my rooms.. i have a few cat rooms though #my favorite cat is probably willy hes such a sweetie. hes okd and so fat and he isnt afraid of me at all #<- sort of a detriment bc he loves to lay on the bed while im trying to strip it. and i have to slide my hand under the covers and pry him #up. and then he makes The saddest meow ever and gets up. hes so cute #most of the other cats i dont rly see a lot... rheres maybe 3? others aside from willy and 320's cat (i dont know her name bc she Refuses #to hold still long enough for me to read her collar lol)#but the others i dont know their names Aside from oliver who is 208's cat....

It was getting too damn hot. God, he needed to invest in a fan or something. This shit was getting ridiculous.

“Hiiiii.”

Squalo glanced up shortly to acknowledge you entering his office, grunting lowly before returning to his paperwork.

“D’you need your hair put up?” You hovered around to fiddle with some things after handing him some papers, checking to see if his windows could open any further than they were. The answer was ‘no’.

“Huh? Whatever.”

Wasn’t a refusal, so you shuffled over to carefully pull his hair up. It wasn’t the neatest, not by a long shot, but it got the majority of his hair off of his shoulders and out of his face. His brows furrowed; he didn’t have his jacket on and neither did you, but something hard was brushing against his back when you moved. He dropped it when you stepped away.

“Alrighty, good to go. Good luck with that.”

He grumbled something, nodding shortly. You went to leave with a hum, and he watched you closely, eyeing you over until finally the silhouette of your shirt changed just the slightest.

“Pause.”

You did, freezing in the centre of the room. You glanced at him curiously. “Yep? Somethin’ wrong?”

His eyes narrowed at you and you huffed a little at the attention on your chest.

“It’s way too warm for that right now, sorry-“

“Shut up, idiot, that’s not what I’m doing. Stay still.”

You did. You tried, at least, when he stood and rounded his desk to advance on you. You took a physical step back when he brushed a knuckle over one of your nipples, the two of you quiet.

“What the fuck? Since when did-“

“Oh!” You pet your chest with a pleased hum. “I just don’t have them in when I’m doing work, and you usually catch me in uniform. Ain’t no way I’m leaving this place today, so I figured I’d wear them for once. It’s been a while!”

This seemed to get the cogs turning in his head for a few seconds, and you would’ve laughed if not for the surprised noise you made when he reached straight for the hem of your shirt.

“W-Wait, you just said-“

“Show me.”

“What?! Right now?!”

“Is there a problem with that?”

You glanced past him at his window warily before tilting your head back to check his door, listening closely for if anyone was walking by. When silence met your ears you relented and lifted your arms to accomodate for him pulling your button down up and over your chest.

“Cute, right? I spent a lot on them; real crystals and all!” You chimed, proud of your taste in body jewellery. “It’s a shame I can’t wear em’ as often as I used to.”

“Used to?” Squalo’s brows furrowed. He’d been with you for a while now, at least over a year and a half, but had not heard of or seen them once until now.

“Oh, I’ve had ‘em since I could legally get them. So, a pretty long time ago. I just had to stop wearing them for safety when I started doing more physical work.”

Well, it made sense, but god that fucking sucked. They looked good on you.

Squalo slowly lifted his gaze up to you and you smiled, head tilting cutely. “Yep?”

You huffed, stumbling backwards until your back met his door when he pushed you across his room by the chest, leaning in, chest to chest. You gasped a little, Squalo wrapping his fingers around your chin and lifting your head.

“It’s still way too warm, but eventually I gotta get all this sweat off of me. Let me see them better later in the shower after work.”

Your breathing had picked up and your head was getting foggy. You nodded the best you could with his fingers holding your head in place.

“Good. Now get lost.”

“Ah… Sure.”

You needed a drink. A cold one.

you’re starting 11 is made of dreams and something that I would LOVE to see even with Sarina saying that we will see fresh/new faces I am not holding out much hope 😭 I pop adore Leah but she’s just not found her footing so far both at club and international she’s been v sloppy. There’s no reason she should be in our defense over alex but I think if she’s available as the captain Sarina is never going to leave her out of the starting lineup. Bronze is just inconsistent we may get the best defense ever from her or she may just be another body lol. Tooney over Park atm is a little crazy to me, yes tooney is always there in clutch moments but once again I just think that Jess park is in better form. People are saying Hampton out of goal but I feel like people placing all the blame on her when the defense overall was ASS against Germany is crazy, so I would keep her in goal or even try anna (I feel safest with Mary in goal always but friendlies should be about utilizing and trying out different things we know Mary is mostly reliable so we should definitely be building the other girls up 🤷🏽‍♀️). As for forwards, I agree with everything you said I will say that for someone with so much experience you would definitely expect alessia to score more but I can’t lie and say that she hasn’t been pressing but we have really good forwards available who need playing time and who have more creativity when attacking. I would like to see the Aggie, Naz, and Hempo link up at the front as well but I don’t see her making THAT many changes for the start. Even if she wants to go for more “seasoned” players I’m not really understanding why Chloe isn’t making it to the starting lineup! I think overall and this is something that we have been saying for a while, Sarina is definitely stuck in euros and coming 2nd in World Cup and these lineups just prove that bc if we are strictly going off of more recent performances the lineup would certainly look different. It’s good to have experience on the pitch ofc but you can’t just keep choosing experience over form in almost ALL cases and how tf do they get experience if you want to give some of the best players atm 10-20 mins on 😀 but we will see hopefully we get some good changes (sorry that this is so long)

hampton should be kept in. a keeper is literally the last line of defence, if the ball has gotten that far, it’s the backline that has failed to do their job. and yes a keepers job is to stop goals going in, but they are only expected to save an average of 92% of shots on target. This stat is throughout a season but im using it here as an example.

compared to the above percentage, her stats against germany are not looking good. however if you pull someone (a keeper) out of a squad for one bad performance, which you can also argue was partly due to the defence being shoddy, her confidence would completely shatter, possibly causing more problems in the future

she’s doing well in her league compared to how earps is doing in hers, so hampton should stay

Arsenal have had a terrible start to their season, in turn so has leah. she’s only played 116 minutes over 2 games. i understand she’s been out on concussion protocol, but why would you start a player who has barely had a sniff of game time? and her performance against germay was probably the worst i’ve seen her play.

carrying on with arsenals sub par start, russo and even mead seem to have fallen victim to the slump. yes russo got a goal in the net and hit the post, but offside goals and hitting the woodwork don’t get numbers on the board. we need something fresh up front. a player who is hungry to make difference

mead had just looked tired imo. heavy touches, slow on the ball, bad decision making. i don’t want the game to be erratic but you need to play with abit of urgency. both naz and beever-jones, depending on their strongest positions, should do a good job of keeping things moving forward

tooney hasn’t been in form for a while. i see it every league game and it’s translating onto the international stage. the longer she goes without a goal, the more pressure she is putting herself under and i think it’s affecting her game.

clinton and park, well, i have no faults so far this season. both doing so well in terms of creating chances in games. they’ve got motivation to do well and they’ve got the relentlessness we need.

i could go on about this stuff forever so I’ll save you the agony of reading and leave it there for now 😂
