a/n: i kinda knew what i wanted to do here but also i don't know why i struggled with this fic but at the end of the day im happy it turned out like this

Taking a gap year left you with a ton of free time. Being a daughter of a tennis commentator you took advantage of it and joined him to travel, watch the sport and help him. Your father was a renowned tennis reporter whose voice was as familiar to tennis fans as the sound of a well-struck ball. 

Despite it being early morning the sun was bright and unrelenting. You wore a light pink sundress as you walked alongside your father. "Can you take these notes to the press box? I need to get ready for an interview with one of the players." he said, handing you a stack of papers. "Of course" you replied, taking the notes and turning. 

As you made your way through the building you caught a sight of Ben practicing on a nearby court. You always found him a bit intimidating - his fierce eyes, serious expression and tall, athletic frame only added to his persona. You quickened your pace, thinking you were unnoticed, but Ben glanced in your direction. Your eyes met briefly but you quickly looked away, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Later that afternoon, you found a quiet spot near an outer court to watch some of the players practice. You were busy going through photos you took that day when you felt someone sit down beside you. Glancing sideways, you were surprised to see Ben.  “Mind if I join you?” he asked, his voice smooth and pleasant. “No, not at all,” you replied, trying to steady your nerves. You went back to the photos and you sat in silence for a few minutes before Ben spoke again. 

“You're Y/F/N’s daughter, right? I’ve seen you around”. “Yeah, that’s me. I’m Y/N,” you said, offering a shy smile. “Nice to meet you, Y/N. I’m Ben,” he replied, extending his hand. “I know,” you said, laughing softly as you shook his hand. “I’ve watched your matches. You’re really impressive on the court”. “Thanks,” Ben said with a heartwarming smile. “Sooo.. Do you like tennis, or is it just part of the family business?”. You chuckled at his assumption “I love it. I grew up around it, and it’s always been in my life,” you explained. You two continued chatting until your phone buzzed, displaying Dad on the screen.

Over the course of the tournament the two of you kept chatting here and there. He would sit beside you at every match and if he was playing he would make sure there was a reserved seat for you where you could get the best view, of him of course.

He had a few free mornings during which he would try to find you. One morning, you were sitting in the players lounge, eyes glued to your laptop as you managed your fathers social media, when you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned to see Ben with two coffee cups. “Thought you might need a pick-me-up,” he said, handing you one. “Thank you, Ben,” you replied, smiling as you took the cup. “You didn’t have to do this”.  “I wanted to,” he said, his gaze steady and sincere “Well I just wanted to wish you a good day, I have to go” he continued. You took a sip of coffee and you noticed you look pretty as always <33 written on the side of it.

On the final days of the tournament Ben couldn’t pay attention to how exhausted he was because his mind was filled with the thoughts of you. He remembered you had mentioned wanting to see a play that was showing in the city during the tournament. He found you amongst the organized chaos of reporters and asked to steal you for a moment.

"Oh hey, Ben. How was your day?" you said, not expecting to see him. "Good, but that's not what I want to talk about right now," Ben replied with a playful glint in his eye. "I have something for you”. He pulled out an envelope from his jacket pocket and handed it to you. You were quite intrigued as you opened it to find two tickets for the play you had mentioned a week ago. Your eyes widened in surprise and delight. "Oh my goodness, Ben! How did you...?" you trailed off, your heart warming at his thoughtful gesture. You swung your arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.  "I remembered you mentioning it," Ben chuckled. "And I thought tonight would be the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy ourselves”.

You found your seats, tucked away in a cozy corner with a perfect view of the stage. The lights dimmed, and the curtain rose, revealing a beautifully crafted set for the play. 

Throughout the show, Ben couldn't help but steal glances at you beside him. He admired the way your eyes sparkled with wonder and your genuine smile that lit up your face as you watched the actors bring the story to life. You were captivating and Ben found himself falling even more under your spell. 

During intermission, Ben turned to you  with a soft smile. "Are you enjoying the play?”. You turned to him "I love it! Thank you so much for bringing me here, Ben. It means a lot.". "I'm glad," Ben replied sincerely, his gaze lingering on you. "You look beautiful tonight”. You looked deeply in his eyes before smiling even more. You took his hand in yours and rested your head on his shoulder.

You were touched by his honesty. "I like you too, Ben," you replied softly, squeezing his hand. You were practically glued to his arm as you looked up at him with big, tired, doe eyes. He smiled at the scene. 

The hotel hallway was quiet, the dim lights casting a soft glow against the carpeted floor and ornate wallpaper. Ben walked beside you as you led the way down the corridor to your room. 

"Thanks for walking me back, Ben," you  said softly, your voice with a hint of sadness as you neared your room. Ben smiled warmly. "Of course, Y/N. I had a great time tonight”. You stopped in front of your hotel room door, turning to face Ben. "I wish you could come in," you murmured, your gaze hinting disappointment. Ben reached out, gently tucking a loose strand of your hair behind your ear. "I understand. Maybe next time," he replied softly, his eyes meeting yours with understanding. Ben leaned in slowly, "Can I kiss you?" he whispered. You nodded and felt his lips brushing against yours in a tender kiss. Your heart fluttered as you leaned into the kiss, savoring the shared warmth and closeness. 

"Thank you for tonight, Ben. I'll see you soon?" your fingers still lingered on his arm. "Definitely," Ben replied, pressing a final soft kiss to your forehead. "Goodnight, Y/N”.

“YOU SON OF A BITCH!” (Y/n) said, throwing a wine glass across the room, particularly aiming at the TV who was caught in the act with a certain moth.

“(Y/n), babe, ‘ts not what it looks like I swear-“

“Oh really?” She said, a venomous lilt in her voice,”cause right now it looks like you’re getting screwed by your little business partner? Huh? Am I not right on the money sugar? Oh, but where’s that little sarcastic buzzer now?!”

Vox slipped his pants on, zipping up his fly while trying to walk towards (Y/n)

“I swear, you’ve got it all wrong. I’m..this isn’t…we’re not…”

“Save it.” She said,”This, us, is over. Our business deal is over. And if you even try to negotiate or give me some shitty excuse, this little turf you have will belong to my empire and become my next factory.”

Vox was left, standing here, shirt off and wrinkled pants on, watching as the love of his life took the bare necessities and walked out of his life, all while Valentino watched and smirked at the sight.

“THAT FUCKER IS BACK!!” Vox screamed, his fists slamming down on the table. A month before (Y/n) walked out, the infamous Radio Demon went MIA, and has now returned to the scene, alongside the Princess of Hell, Charlie Morningstar.

“Yeah” Valentino said, in a sultry voice,”I thought he was gone for good too”

“It’s been seven years!” Vox huffed, turning away from the screen, missing a very crucial person who just walked outside to scope the situation of the attack on the hotel.

“You still pissed he almost beat you that time, right before your little angel walked out~?” Valentino teased, rubbing Vox’s digital cheek on his screen, causing a squeegee noise to be emitted

“Uh, fuck you!”

“Just saying!”

“Things have changed a lot since they both left town!”

“That’s for sure”

“I gotta send a message to who’s, really in charge of things now!!”

“Welcome home, I’m gonna make you wish that you’d stayed gone! Say hello, to a new status quo. Everyone knows that there’s a brand new dawn, turn the TV ON!!!”

“Top of the hour, and we’re discussing a certain ‘has-been’ who has been spotted cavorting around town after a seven year absence! Did anybody miss him? Did anybody notice? More on tonight’s program!”

“So the Radio Demon is back in town! Why’s he hanging around? What does that mean for your family? Well handily I’ve got good news, he’s a loser, a fossil, and I don’t mean to sound hostile, but the demon is a coward!”

“You can take that as gospel! Pulling my viewers? Impossible. I’m visual, he’s barely audible! Stop giving him the time of day, don’t listen to a word he’d say! I hope he had a nice vacay, but he should’ve STAYED AWAY!”

“While he rid in radio, we’ve pivoted to video! Now his medium is getting bloody rare!! Hell’s been better since he split! Where’s he been? Who gives a shit!”

“Salutations! Good to be back on the air~!” A familiar, static filled voice responded.

“Yes I know it’s been a while, since someone with style, treated Hell to a proper broadcast. Sinners rejoice!-“

“What a dated voice!-“

“Instead of a clout-chasing, mediocre video podcast-“

“C’mon!”

“Is Vox insecure? Perusing allure? Flitting between this fad and that, is nothing working?”

“Ignore his chirping!”

“Everyday he’s got a new format!”

“You’re looking at the future, he’s the shit that comes before that!”

“Is Vox as strong as he purports? Or is it based on his support? He’d be powerless without the other Vees!”

“Oh please!”

“And here’s the sugar on the cream, he asked me to join his team! I said no, stole his girl, and now he’s pissy, that’s the tea!”

“WHAT?! YOU OLD-TIMEY P-PRICK, ILL SHOW YOU SUF-UF-FFERING!!!!”

“Uh oh, looks like the TV is buffering” A new voice said, mocking Vox’s breakdown. Except it wasn’t a “new” voice, it was (Y/n). (Y/n), with Alastor, at the Hazbin Hotel.”

“ILL DESTROY-Y YOUUUUUU”

“I’m afraid you’ve lost your signal” Alastor said, taking the mic back before finishing his number.

“Let’s begin~”

“I’m gonna make you wish that I’d stayed gone! Tune on in! When I’m done, your status quo will know it’s race is run! Oh this will be fun!”

Vox could hear Alastor laughing alongside (Y/n) in the background, as his monitors start to flash “no signal”

“FUCK!” He whines

The gang was all downstairs, Charlie explaining what tomorrows fun activity would be when a loud banging was heard on the door.

“A NEW GUEST!!” Charlie squealed, stars in her pupils, as she ran to go open the door, only to be met with a very tall TV Overlord.

Alastor’s antlers shot out of his head while (Y/n)‘s weapons were at the ready.

“I come with no harm!” Vox said, raising his hands, before locking eyes with (Y/n). His digital eyes made little heart pupils before blinking them away, embarrassed.

“(Y/n)…” he breathlessly said,”I-I know you hate me…but please, I-“

“Save it Vox.”

“I wish I could explain to you that night, or even today, but I can’t! This….deal has my lips sealed shut my love-I mean (Y/n). I-I just…I cannot explain myself with this contract I have.”

“Wait” Angel Dust said,”You’re Valentino’s little situationship, right?”

“If that’s what you wanna call it….”

“Wait….oh shit” Angel said, walking over to him,”I…I know what it’s like…”

“I know…I see you around his studio…I’m not above owning souls, I have my own, but to work with him…? I’d…..I’d free you all in a heartbeat….”

“Vox?” (Y/n) said,”are you in some sort of deal with Val over your…body.”

Vox could only look at her, not able to give her any conformation.

“I know dear…” Vox said, smiling sadly,”but you have a erm….partner, of sorts, not your finest option but whatever, now and I wouldn’t want to intervene-“

“Oh Alastor? Me and him aren’t in a relationship” (Y/n) replied,”You know him, Mr. Ace in the Hole!”

“A what now?-“

“Ohhhhh, that…that explains so much.” Vox said, looking at the Radio Demon.

“Vox…I-I think we need to go home, talk about this in private….after I squish a bug.”

“Okay…” Vox said, holding (Y/n)‘s hand,”but what about this hotel?”

“I’ll still work here, with everyone, I believe in the cause. I just didn’t think you’d want to.”

pretty sure everyone knows the classic trope of the dragon kidnapping the princess, yeah, right ? yes, this canonically happens to bunny princss natasha (booooo) but then she is able to teach dragon syntax about how important love is (what but that trope is so overused !!?) and discovers that dragon syntax is actually really cool and has just been traumatized in the past, abandoned by people and has come to think he hurts everything he touches. they both end up becoming friends after bunny natasha is the only person hes been able to talk to. after a while their relationship had built up for a while, the damn bunny and dragon fell in love. now theyre girlfriend and boyfriend . yayyy!!!

to this day the dragon is still learning to be kinder to people although coping is difficult. the princess is able to provide him with love and empathy. she helps him cope with anger, he helps her know when to be angry.

before bunny princess natasha met dragon syntax she moved into the queenofproendo's castle in the kingdom . she isnt related to anyone at all but rather sees the entire castle and kingdom as friends.

before dragon syntax met bunny princss natasha he lived up in the snowy mountains not that close to the kingdom (he still does though. but spends more time around natasha now) he likes to collect things he finds interesting. every now and then he came out to come venture around outside the mountains and came across the kingdom. he found bunny princess natasha outside of the kingdom walls at this time and decided to take her as a part of his collection.

let's get. let's get Dilon out of the way. we hced a few months ago that he would NNNOT bail his spouses out of prison. oh, shamoras in jail? bailed. Josh is in jail? bailed. Lucy is in jail? bailed. Alex and Haru? keep them in there until their sentence is up. (/hj). don't get him wrong, he LOVES his spouses. but holy shit.

everyone has daddy issues. except ash. he's an orphan he doesn't get issues (jkjk but I THINK he had mommy issues??)

fun fact; the ONLY OC who has kept her personality throughout the years, was Lucy. she's perfect. I cringe every time I read back on old roleplays and see old screenshots. shamora would NOT act like this KILL IT

another fun fact; we would always argue over whether or not Jeremy was a top or bottom. this bitch recently revealed that he is a SWITCH (as Jeremy is their oc)

ANOTHER fun fact; during the starting days of our roleplays, Jeremy was like. Lucifer and Lucy was like Lillith. I'm so positive that this HAS changed. a lot. it probably isn't even canon anymore js

I think that Derek and Haru get along well, and yes it is because Joseph is Haru's brother as well as Derek's ex, BUT! Haru does NOT, and WILL not condone the type of abuse Joseph put Derek through EVER. he does not condone his brother's actions whatsoever, and always sided with Derek after he found out about everything.

adding onto Derek and Haru; Derek probably freaked out the first few times he saw Haru, given that him and Joseph look alike, if you don't count Haru's heterochromia

everyone lives together !! well, there's this one mansion that EVERYONE lives in, but they all have their separate homes for privacy (this is actually canon)

I'd like to think that Alex dyed her hair because she doesn't like thinking back on her birthday, aka the day she died. she's originally brunette, like shamora, but dyed her hair blue as to rid that image from her conscious. sometimes she forgets what she used to look like, until she somehow comes across an older picture, which sends her into a spiral

despite their coldness and stoicness, I would like to think that, if not anything else, Shamora and Dilon are passionate when it comes to their lovers !!

Dilon is the second oldest out of like five kids, affection was probably a frequent thing given how deprived of it they were when they were kids.. so if Alex were to fall victim to a panic attack, or if Haru just wasn't having a good day, Dilon would know, and go about dealing with it in his own ways. as I said earlier, he absolutely loves his spouses, even if he flat out refuses to acknowledge it most of the time. this only happens behind closed doors !! and I don't think they would tease him for it. this is rare, and he means well, so they'd accept it with lots of love !! plus they don't really feel like getting hit in the head with a pot like. ever.

and, unlike Dilon, Shamora initiates affection herself, even when she knows that Josh doesn't need it in that moment. her sister was clingy growing up, so she hardly minds Josh's clinginess. in fact, she'll start to get worried if he isn't holding onto her shirt somehow. there are times where she'll just sit with him and scratch behind his ears, or she'll grab his hand and tug him along with her if she knows she's going somewhere—knowing that Josh has to be trailing behind her, or he'll get lost and spiral if she isn't back within ten twenty minutes. she's quiet when affection is initiated from either of them, and mostly sticks to her actions doing all the talking for her. if Josh starts to get insecure about his place in the relationship, she'll know before hand and talk to him about it—one of the rare times she's actually verbal during any sort of affection.

I struggled with this one because there are a lot of contenders and it somewhat depends on the type of fear. The most horror they felt was probably standing over Sampson’s unconscious injured body after almost having drank from him (which would have killed them) and entering hunger frenzy. The most fear he felt in a more visceral way, for his life, was early on in his embrace, during the coup where the then-prince was ousted and the coterie was caught in the crossfire- since he was just turned I imagine that even though he’s been in other (un)life threatening situations that one was the scariest. And finally the most dread he probably felt was when entering Gaius’s lab, he confronted a large troll who was blocking the exit.. Thankfully that worked out cause it was Kyle. But Mark thought he was SO screwed.  -

Well, Julius gives him a monthly income of thousands of dollars because money is nothing to Julius and he doesn’t want Mark to have to worry about mundane things. However, Mark can’t save money this way - Julius just basically replaces whatever Mark spent that month. 

He will get income from his territory once that is finally set up as well which he could actually keep month to month I think!

Mark has good discipline about saving money so if he needed to he could. Right now he just considers it one less thing to worry about, thank god.

Both times were only short conversations. A quick hello, a light smile, a small joke, awkward silence and then goodbye. It did hurt you that you lost Soobin. But you knew it was for the best. It was breaking you to be in love with him, and for him not to feel the same way. It was hard to even sit in the same room with him.

"Y/N, I want you to have fun tonight.. Please don't let Soobin ruin your mood," Kai said softly. His voice pure and full of sweetness. You gave him a soft smile. Stepping out of the car, as he put his arm around you and walked you inside.

As the conversations split into two, you walked upstairs to go get more drinks. As you placed the sodas on the counter, a indescribable wave of sadness rushed over you. "Y/N?" There it was again. The feeling of pain. You collected yourself quickly, head facing the floor as you wiped your tears.

"I.." There stood Soobin. His mouth ready to say a word, but his heart racing made it hard to speak. "I want to talk." He finally spit out. all you could mutter was a simple "ok" as you moved the door open slowly. He didn't move.

He voice filled with sincerity and love. He felt sick that he let this happen. That he let you leave without looking back.

You had no idea what to say. For months you waited for this moment to happen. Now that it was, you had only that thought. Kiss him. So you did, you kissed Soobin.
