Leaving intact the value of the existence of things by Russell Moreton Via Flickr: russellmoreton.blogspot.com/ Futuro, Presente, Passato: Remembering Germano Celant (1940–2020) Shumon Basar and Hans Ulrich Obrist www.e-flux.com The art historian, critic, and curator Germano Celant passed away on April 29, 2020, in Milan. Perennially clad in black, his hair a mane of swept-back white, he was as distinctive a physical presence as his presence has been in the art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Described to us once as “a living Vasari”—a reference to the pioneering sixteenth-century author of Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects—Celant’s sustained output over the last six decades is a map that connects Italian avant-gardes to accelerated internationalism. Celant’s love for history’s radical turns in turn became the very engine through which he managed to shape institutions old and new. Celant produced and reproduced reality, par excellence. Here, we recall how he did this, and why that mattered. Baroque Beginnings Celant studied the Renaissance and the Baroque with the legendary art historian Eugenio Battisti at the University of Genoa in the early 1960s. Battisti’s 1962 book, L’antirinascimento (The Anti-Renaissance), became one of Celant’s formative influences. L’antirinascimento was later described by Christopher S. Wool as covering “a whole range of material and topics that don’t fit—automata, magic and talismanic images, wonders and portents, the Wunderkammer, astrology, alchemy, the topoi of the witch and the old man.” This eclectic synthesis of knowledge fields became a model for what Celant would later pursue. And from Battisti’s understanding of the Baroque, Celant told us he discovered that “there was no distinction between architecture, design, decoration.” What emerges is a total space where disparate categories can meet. The Baroque’s heightened use of sensory effects to stage drama and emotion, the “need to be surrounded by something,” as Celant said, also became the DNA for all that was to follow in his output. Guerrilla Warfare In 1963, Celant started to write for Marcatré, the leading interdisciplinary magazine in Italy, where art sat alongside cinema, design, and theory. Soon he also joined the architectural journal Casabella. In his capacity as art critic for both publications, he began to visit and befriend artists of previous generations, such as Lucio Fontana. But more importantly, he developed relationships with artists of his own generation throughout Italy. This led Celant in 1967, at the young age of twenty-seven, to curate his first seminal show, “Arte Povera – Im Spazio,” in Genoa’s Galleria la Bertesca. It marked the beginning of Arte Povera as an aesthetic, philosophical movement, whose ideas were refined in a manifesto-like text published in Flash Art the same year, entitled “Notes on a Guerrilla War.” Two years later, an eponymous book was released that included the artists Giovanni Anselmo, Alighiero Boetti, Luciano Fabro, Michelangelo Pistoletto, and many others. As Celant put it, “each of these artists chose to live with direct experience, and feel the necessity of leaving intact the value of the existence of things.” (These now feel like premonitory words in relation to the extinction and environmental crisis we face today.) Celant described the need for a “shift that has to be brought about … the return to limited and ancillary projects where the human being is the fulcrum and the fire of research, in replacement of the medium and the instrument.” Arte Povera therefore is “an art that asks only for the essential information, that refuses the dialogue with the social and cultural system and aspires to present itself as something sudden and unforeseen.” It acted as ballast against the loudest art at the time: that of American Pop, which was already perceived as an imperialistic presence in postwar Europe. Indeed, in 1964, Donald Judd had dismissed European art as mere “decoration.” Arte Povera, through Celant’s skills of rhetoric, friendship, and flair, proved there were alternative narratives, and that Italian culture was renewing its critical, countercultural vigor.

boy oh boy life sure comes at you fast sometimes doesn’t it?
hello! im chloe, a nonbinary lesbian just trying her best. like just about everyone else, the last year has been,,, rough, to say the least. i did a pretty decent job at keeping afloat i think, but clearly am in a pretty rough spot as a result.
my previous donation post is still going around (which, thank you all so so much oh my god) but as of today sunday june 13, my step father decided to add this onto my current problems.
so basically as stated here in my original post, i’m finding myself in a pandemic-driven financially abusive situation as of right now. i’m basically the only one in the house with any useable credit cards (thanks to my step father leeching off of my mother for the last decade), and while i don’t mind helping out with a bill or two every now and then, i’m finding myself being cornered into covering costs for his son. there’s a difference between me helping out every now and then with groceries, and me being expected to take on half of the bills of a household of 5 people + pay for the activities of my half brother. i’m not in a position to dispute this, as that would almost certainly result in him selling the house (something he’s threatened before) and leaving us all homeless.
i do not have a support system in my life beyond my mother, who is also a victim of this man and cannot provide for me if i need financial assistance now or any time in the near future.
the total above is what’s currently on my credit card. while i do have a job right now (which again, extremely grateful for!) it will not be enough for me to pay this off any time soon, which ultimately affects my ability to get a vehicle for myself.
this was an issue before, and i understand that sounds like a luxury, but in order to get to work/get home from, my only option is uber or begging my mother for a ride. we only have the one car right now for the whole household, and she uses it for my half brother’s extracurriculars (which i am footing the bill for). once or twice a week in an uber would be manageable, but one way from work to my home is 15.00, which leads to 30.00 in transit charges every day. as you can imagine, this very much eats away at my paycheque, which limits me in terms of paying off the debt in my name and making any strides towards a car, insurance, and saving up for an apartment (because leaving is really the only way to stop them from using me/my card). now that we also apparently have to worry about him damaging the only vehicle we have for the household (which is on its last legs of life just due to age and wear as it is), it’s more important than ever that i secure something for myself.
the damage above will likely also have to be taken care of by me, as keeping my mother’s car in at least semi-driveable condition is vital right now. based on previous repair costs, we estimate this repair to be around $500.00 and will be contacting a mechanic to give us a firm quote as soon as we can.
i’d drop my paypal but it has my full name on it, so in place of that, my ko-fi donation link is here. it’s attached to my art blog, and i’m also taking commissions if anyone is interested in getting some art!

reblogs are so appreciated if you can’t donate anything! and of course, only donate if you have the comfortable financial means to.
thank you so much for taking the time to read & reblog <3

Channeled Angelic Wisdom of the Jewels of Truth Series on the Birth of Creation & Manifest Destiny
Tumblr media
Hello All,
Today's blog entry will be a duo of statements from the angels nameless as they often are without ego but still ever with rich personalities in spirit. The topics will be on the Birth of Creation and about a form of Manifest Destiny. Each of them has a tinge of controversy attached to them along the way.
First, the Birth of Creation comes to the view of the metaphysical creation of our Universe physical and otherwise ethereal in essence and substances. Not so much the scientific astrophysics view more so a spiritual outlook that the whole afterlife birthed our Creation. The dicey bit is that besides Heaven getting into procreation, so did Hell itself as providing extreme contrast to our reality.
The second statement of Manifest Destiny takes it to a higher notch with a ballsy declaration regarding all human religions having been corrupted over the eons. That albeit their impetus was righteous and aims ideally noble the translation has been off-putting to the heavens. Particularly our ancestral forefathers globally slaughtering barbarically in the Name of God and all that disgraceful acts of conspiracies, etc... The angel leans into that stance overall as I channel him inspirationally by psychic automatic writing.
So without further adieu may you find today's recently channeled angelic wisdom and metaphysics statements intriguing as in expanding your horizons whether you refute the claims or not.
PS: In the Manifest Destiny statement, the angel declares that Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. that have died as Prophetic martyrs arose again in Paradise as Arch Angels, which I found fascinating.
Birth of Creation:
3073) To what is reborn comes away misunderstood by the masses as a realm heretofore obscure as it is singularly native. All that arises in the Eternal "Now" Moment is sacred to God in each of thy living souls of the divine truly and forever reborn by grace. Many are, for lack of a better word, spiritually dumb, not fully oriented to the Omniscient Holy nature of God(dess) in an Inclusive farthest-reaching capacity of Being Immaculate.
This is a tale of the birth of your cosmic universal reality you call the physical terrestrial universe(s). All Creation(s) are oriented similarly to this sacred disposition one way or another metaphysically. Do not be offended for your universe to exist it requires Contrast as the polar opposite paradoxical conundrums of every iota under the stars of our combined Infinite Heavens.
This contrast is both good as godly in righteousness and terribly horrifically evil simultaneously depending on its context derived in situ of its locality or zone of reality. Regardless, of what is and what is not come again to further understand the superb nature of our/your Totality. Now is the moment to comprehend that Creation is composed metaphysically of equal portions of the Splendid Heavens and the Horrible Hells. A cosmic collision of the entire collective of the afterlife in order to beget a new life and death on a whole macro and micronized stupefied basis. Universally what this signifies is many things all at once to the keen spiritual metaphysical observer.
That (Im)mortal life is intrinsically good and evil for a Creator God's rationale as our Ultimate Supreme Designer of the Infinite Ages overall. Those who wish to escape reality through holy precepts must have rendered life-affirming services mystically much like the prophets of Enoch and Elijah accomplished. Each one skipped a mortal's carnal demise by death and indeed walked with God upright and willing by their own volition in a biological manner into the endless Heavens.
Reality is good, neutral, and evil each with its inference of principled or dynamical views. Such are each as modalities of equal parts of Heaven, Null Space, and the Hells. Akin to a collision cosmically of matter, space as the void or oblivion, and anti-matter all at once much like a Big Bang Universal Birth. Heretofore, everything as what follows is history albeit ancient in its recounting.
Many will come away with more questions and that is beautifully excellent! Seek and ye shall find indeed by a meditative neutral faith in God alone. All is revealed to the ardent explorer of the peaceful Omnipotent disposition of the Soul of God(dess). Amen. ---Ivan Pozo-Illas / Atrayo.

Manifest Destiny
3066) All-Holy Faiths as religious Institutions and spiritual philosophical traditions of God(dess) or that of the minor lesser gods and goddesses by any number of cultural pantheons as kingdoms go. Are broken as Adhoc local regional well into stately movements of the masses to reassert the power of the Divine upon this world. To this end, they have limited phenomenal successes as their native worshippers proclaim earnestly as they swipe across global histories. Whether by peaceful considerate influences as permissions exist or by the wicked sword through the sheer barbaric slaughter of all enemies foreign and domestic.
In this regard all that is beneficent and Holy of God and by God alone upon this world. Including our kindred as the lesser minor deities of other pagan religions whether dead via antiquity or well into modernity are the angelic host reborn solemnly we declare. Humanity has an inherited knack of corrupting religious and spiritual authoritative bodies via centralized institutionalizations seeking supremacy over the masses instead of liberating souls.
Whether such inhumane corruptions promote racism with slaves or 2nd or 3rd class worshippers, misogyny as sexism with adultered patriarchy, and influential power over under educated peoples to be led or misled like cattle. We the Angelic Host of countless Paradises do declare boldly and with great convictions that the trio of the Abrahamic faiths as religions has accomplished collectively throughout global history. More inhumane suffering than by its beautiful idealism sought out to heal and redeem humanity as a collective grace on a macro whole basis of God-centric worshipped divinity on earth.
For every glorious stride forward of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as the embodied Peace of God upon the world. Humanity collectively throughout numerous historical epochs has regressed these faiths via subsequent generations of worshippers. With the inhumanity of persecutions and outright conspiracies and other ill-assorted corruptions of the Majestic Inclusive Will of a Living and Loving Compassionate Creator God of gods Supreme!
For instance, the Crusades in antiquity of the Jews to reclaim the holy land from the other Semites in the region of the Canaanites, Hittites, etc... With a resurgence now in modernity with a renewed crusades against the Palestinians. Then there are the Christian Crusades during medieval times oppressing the Jews and Muslims alike. Including the so-called Northern European Christian Holy Wars of the Protestant Reformation.
All throughout the centuries, the Christian Papacy permitted sex scandals to foment against their nuns and youths with subsequent cover-ups in your modernity. Not mentioning missionary atrocities against indigenous cultures around the world for centuries until the 20th century that is. Then the wholesale slaughter of all enemies of Islam by Kingdoms of Sunni and Shia sects and now well into the modern Islamic reformation period by fanatical heretics called by the world as terrorists.
Hundreds of thousands if not a couple million souls have perished by Man's barbaric Judgments in the so-called Name of God! God's Merciful Judgment is at hand albeit not to destroy humanity but to save it from its chaotic animal nature. Faith of God(dess) by any other tradition at large is a precious gift as a living embodiment spiritually of God upon the world. To abuse it as a privilege or a solemn sacred right of inheritance leaves the world disgraced overall.
A superior faith or religion from the sum of many diverse faiths as a recombination is soon to arrive in your next century. The Abrahamic Religions notwithstanding are now deemed fully broken by the Lord of Hosts Supreme and the Seals of the Covenants are cracked by loss of grace upon the world.
Many other prophets of antiquity and now into modernity as Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. having been slain as martyrs of the Glory of God upon the world. Are now risen as bonafide Arch Angels each according to their tenets in life, not unlike that of Enoch and Elijah for instance.
The Angelic Host doesn't play ego-centric games of cultural global Institutions of so-called religious authority. The Power of God is always decentralized for the very reasons humanity has corrupted it. By exclusive mandates as strict dogmas, theologies, and poor suppositions of the Inclusive Majestic Love of God(dess).
No one individually as a spirit of a soul is at fault nor do we hold humanity totally in contempt. It is the elite castes as rulers of humanity across immemorial histories that these slow-motion horrors have persisted nearly unchecked. By the sincere Patience of God and the Heavenly Host, we shall overcome together with humanity as the coalition of the willing to heal these jagged edges in time with Absolute Love lived with tender moderation.
It will be by a global near-catastrophic Holocaust 2.0 of World War III and its aftermath decades in recovery of the global planetary human civilization. That the proverbial Phoenician Phoenix as the Hawk Standard shall rise upon a near-global human empire. This is sadly after the more wholesale slaughter of the masses due to War World IV nearly ninety years from now give or take away a decade.
That the aforementioned reconstituted global major religious bodies and their spiritual New Age traditional counter-parts with Intuitive psychical gifts of God recombine as One. Into a truly global meta-religious authority more powerful than the current Persian Baha'i faith tradition to date.
This is the renewed Word of God(dess) and it is Good for all Souls remaining faithful. Regardless of individual cultural spiritual and religious-philosophical traditions upon this world currently. The Angelic Host Rejoice for Humanity at large for it will be renewed with another chance to reclaim their Pristine Divinity upon the world in Peace versus by Chaos.
For evil to flourish in the world as the maxim goes Good People merely do nothing out of apathy, fear, and selfish agendas. The Lord God forgives you all totally and forever in advance but with the dearest caveat of stopping the cancerous evil from spreading.
Or the rot of the animal ego-centric meta personality of humanity vying constantly for power over others. Will consume you all like locusts eating not just your dreams of plenty but also the flesh by means of violence and destitution. Be the wiser and remember you are angelic spirits reborn in the Perfect Image and Likeness of God(dess) as our reincarnated siblings come back into the world. Amen. ---Ivan Pozo-Illas / Atrayo.

Beware Of The Dogs; Alfie Solomons Imagine
Tumblr media
( A/N so my Alfie imagine started as a oneshot, then it became a 2 parter, then 3, and now possibly 4. Im sorry theres no Alfie in this part but the family dynamic was really important for me to write, and ill be releasing part 2 at the same time so ill link it below. thx for endless patience and love. you guys genuinely mean the world 2 me.)
PART II
PART III
The night you left was the last day of summer.
The sky was fading lavender, mirroring the wildflowers crushed under your high heels. You could see the faint outline of the moon, big and round and full, illuminating the trees beside you and reflecting off the empty wine glass in your hand. You enjoyed the temporary buzz you had from draining your drink, that short term numbness that made your whole body feel electric. You needed it. You needed a distraction from what you planned on doing.
It felt bittersweet, watching the evening darken as you reminisced alone. You could hear the hum of music from inside and see the comforting glow of a lamp lighting up the shadows around you. You wanted to wallow in self pity for longer, but the moon overhead was just as ominous as a ticking clock, reminding you that you’re running on limited time.
The house was quiet.
It seemed smaller somehow, emptier. You thought back to the night you were told you would be moving in with your Aunt, the start of summer, when the air was warm and you went to bed every night with tears in your eyes. It seemed so long ago, the day you realised just how overprotective your family were, just how much control they held over your life.
They wanted you out of Small Heath. They thought you would be out of harms way with your Aunt, they told you you’d be safer away from the family. It pierced through your heart like a dagger, knowing your younger brother could still roam the streets till midnight, your older sister could travel around the country whenever she pleased, but you were to be locked away like a dirty little secret.
It had all started when Billy Kimber had made a remark about you a few years prior, something vulgar and degrading about you being the youngest Shelby girl and maybe he should make you his wife. You remembered coming home from school to see Arthur’s knuckles black and blue, seething through his teeth, the family arguing around the table, falling silent when you stepped into the room.
You were the weak spot in the family.
You weren’t like the others, you were quieter, soft spoken and kind. It would be all to easy to manipulate you, to overpower you as you walked the streets, to press a blade into your throat and cut through the bindings of the whole family. You knew your family loved you, your siblings had practically raised you from the moment you were born, but there was such a thin line between protection and control. It felt as if the Shelby name was branded onto your forehead, a dirty tattoo scorched onto your skin that you could never remove. They had always taken care of you, but now it felt like the supporting hand on your shoulder was clasped across your mouth, stifling your screams.
Moving into Polly’s house had been a compromise. You had wanted to leave since you were a little girl. You dreamt of following in your sisters footsteps and leaving the smog and smoke of Small Heath, but you were practically forbidden. You screamed and spat at Tommy until your throat felt raw, you threw your shoe like a child at Arthur and you begged Polly for support but she turned her head away, unable to look at you. They were worried for you, you knew that, but it never healed the dull ache in your stomach, the unbearable pain that you would forever be treated as if you were a child incapable of making her own decisions.
You wanted to be a writer. You had since you first picked up an ink pen in infant school and would make up stories for a toddler sized Finn, laying in the bedroom you shared, listening to the pace of his breathing as you spoke of lives bigger than the both of you.You dreamt in colour, lines of prose leaking onto paper in your bleak bedroom, stories you would create that absorbed you inside. Whilst your siblings imagined mounds of wealth and fortune and power, you fantasied about a fairytale, true love and eternal happiness. You wrote to your brothers when they were fighting in the war, thick long letters that distracted them from the horrors around them, the kind of familiar interruption that sliced through the barbarity around and kept them going. You were too innocent, too pure, they couldn’t let you get hurt.
But that wasn’t their decision to make.
Tommy wanted you nearby, close enough he could keep an eye on you but far away enough that you wouldn’t grind him down with your persistent demands or attempts to rebel his authority. You were to move in with Polly and Michael, your cousin, who was a few months younger than you but treated as if he was decades older.
In the early days when he arrived in the fog of Small Heath, Michael became your closest confidant. You were delighted that your beloved Aunt had finally found her son and he was as warm hearted and soft spoken as she remembered, and you were enthralled with the newcomer, devouring his stories of the country whenever you got the chance. But it wasn’t long before you watched him becoming captivated by your brothers, that dizzying kind of hypnotism you had become all too familiar with, small smiles and glistening eyes, the kind of secrecy and camaraderie only shared between men.
You sat at home, your hands black with ink in an empty house. Tapping your foot across the worn out flooring, a Blinder standing guard outside the front door whilst Michael was allowed to visit the races and spend nights drinking until the sun rose. You thought your similar age would mean that you and Michael would form solidarity over his protective mother and your precautious brothers but just like you had watched with Finn, Michael was an exception, welcomed into the ruthless gang with open arms whilst you gawped from the sidelines.
You would curl up on the floor, the telephone pressed to your skull as your ranted and raved to Ada. You could hear her sigh, soft and kind but crackly from the connection, making you miss the warmth of her body and her comforting smell. She had gotten out. She was firmer than you, she knew how to talk to Tommy, her relationship with Freddie had cemented her independence and maturity and she escaped to London as soon as she could. You didn’t blame her, she was protecting Karl, but you still felt an unwelcome heat in your gut if you thought about it for too long, the realisation that you were completely alone in your fight for freedom.
The brothers had always been protective of her, indents on their knuckles from brash boys that lurked in the alleyways as she walked home from school, watchful eyes following whenever she left alone, but she never experienced the same kind of shielding as you. You had been so young when the business first started that by the time you reached your teens, the chains had already been bound around your wrists. You became a woman around the same time that enemies were sniffing around the streets and simple business turned to bloodshed, you knew your name had been slung around as a bargaining chip from men who revolted you, you knew you were the cause of many family arguments that started with slamming doors and ended with tears.
Truthfully you were scared. Your family was changing, your brothers who playfully swung you over their shoulders and cleaned your scraped knees when you fell off your bike had been altered by the war. Your Aunt was brash and distant, and your sister had severed herself from the rest of you, her mind occupied with her child and her political views. Once, you had asked John to let you assist him with the books, you were good at arithmetic, top of your class, but that didn’t matter, all that anyone saw when they looked at you was a potential victim.
When John got married, something inside of you shifted.
You noticed Tommy watching you that night, as Ada got drunk and bellowed at him, as Polly smoked and danced barefoot and as the fire crackled and roared, his eyes flickered to yours. You wondered how long it would be until your beloved brother would trade you for a business deal like he did John. You weren’t a fool, as much as he loved and protected you, Tommy was ruthless when it came to business. You wondered who would be so much of a threat to the family that your hand in marriage would be used to settle a dispute. At that moment you weren’t old enough, you knew that Arthur would put his foot down and pull you out of the mud if Tommy suggested anything, but you couldn’t help wondering what might happen in a few years, when Tommy inevitably ruled the world and you were displayed so innocently by his side, something to sweeten the deal.
You felt so defeated that night, as Ada gave birth and the boys went to the Garrison you downed half a bottle of whisky, you loved the burn at the back of your throat, the heat inside of you, and the way the room spun and your eyes blurred. You drank until your stomach flipped and you couldn’t stop the tears and Finn found you collapsed on his bed, sneaking in beside you and pulling you close, letting you weep onto his shoulder.
After that monumental night you felt yourself fold like origami. You lurked in the shadows, only moving around the house when it was empty and spending all of your free time with friends, loving the temporary normality they gave you. But things got worse. Stolen guns and fixed races and a police officer who rode around the streets on a white mare brought turmoil into the routine you had grown fond of, and it wasn’t long until you were pulled into a family meeting and your future was once again ripped out of your hands.
So you made the decision to leave.
It had started at the peak of summer, when the sun was high and your morale was low and you spent every morning alone, the fire inside of you rivalling the heat of the air. You’d wake up to an empty house, the rest of the family on their own escapades whilst you were left to your own devices. Boredom overtook your senses. You’d brew yourself a mug of tea, stirring in sugar until it clumped at the bottom like wet sand and then you’d tip out the contents, watching as it travelled down the drain. You would write in your journal until the pages grew heavy and your hand hurt and the spine tore from the weight, the pages overflowing with your scrawled handwriting. It wasn’t until you flicked through the weekly newspaper with your feet hanging over the edge of Polly’s velvet sofa did a plan start to form in your mind.
There was a small row of sentences that caught your eye as you flipped over the pages of political conflict and global finances. You could have missed it, but something inside of you drew your pupils to the text that day, you were certain of it. It made you jolt upright, your palms prickling as you folded the paper in half and held it up to your nose for closer inspection, cautiously glancing around the empty living room as if one of your siblings would be lying in wait. There wasn’t much information, just a simple statement about a new publishing company in London, a city that seemed so enchanting to you, and their need for a new receptionist. You tore the page out, gently flattening the seam you had ripped, before darting up the stairs two at a time and hiding your treasure deep under your mattress. That night after Polly and Michael came home, with flushed faces and confidential conversations, you devoured it over and over again, dreaming of the possibilities.
You operated in secret, ringing on a Thursday morning when you knew everyone was occupied at the betting shop. You played with a loose thread on your stocking as the phone connected, the low hum soothing you as you chewed on your lower lip. His name was Edmund. The publishing company had been his fathers and after his passing it was now his, he spoke rapidly and kindly, delighted that someone had called for the job. You hadn’t expected it to go so smoothly, listening and answering eagerly to any questions he might have had, discussing your favourite books and authors, hearing his tales of the city. He asked if you could start the first Monday of September and the phone slipped from your fingers and clattered onto the floor, you cursed and apologised quickly, your entire body flushed the colour of beetroot from both elation and embarrassment.
It wasn’t until the very end of the conversation when Edmund realised he didn’t have your name, you stilled and felt your eyebrows reach your hairline, almost biting your tongue to stop yourself from accidentally telling the truth.
“Rose...Rosie!Rosie Smith.” You lied, thinking back to the red haired girl you had sat next to in primary school, completely baffled but ultimately happy with your brain for conjuring her up at the last second.
“Well, Rosie. I look forward to working with you.”
The call ended and you squealed into your sleeve, the noise muffled from the fabric. You were terrified but filled with joy, your heart practically leaping from your chest. You pressed your head against the wallpaper, exhaling loudly and curling your toes. This was your chance.
In the days that followed you tried your best to remain nonchalant, determined not to arouse suspicion. You sat on your bedroom floor, counting pennies you had saved to send off to Edmund for a deposit on a flat, daydreaming of what it might look like. You rummaged through your wardrobe, planning outfits and accessories that would match your new life and newfound freedom. Underneath the false bravado however, you were terrified. Guilt would rise up inside you when you least expected it, when John, Esme and the kids would come over for a Sunday roast, the little ones clinging to your legs whilst your older brother playfully ruffled your hair and pinched the skin on your elbow. You’d feel a wave of unpleasant sadness when you would wipe Arthur’s knuckles clean after a bad day, talking to him in low tones as he nursed a bottle of something strong, taking care of him like he did when you were just a child.
You even found yourself tolerating Tommy’s firm hand, rolling your eyes when he ordered you about instead of lashing at him like you once had. You often wondered if he knew something was off, the way that you would join the family at the dinner table or laugh in the garden with Johnny Dogs when mere weeks ago you would have barricaded yourself in your room rather than surround yourself with your blood. He never said anything, just watched you curiously as if you were another business conundrum to solve, those brilliant cogs in his mind trying to figure you out.
Finn would come over whenever he could, exhilarated from his new life, slouching on the sofa as he scoffed vanilla biscuits and spun tales about everything he had done that day. In those moments, watching your younger brothers’ eyes glint and shine as he reminisced about everything so brutal that he was a part of, did you somewhat understand your family’s overprotectiveness. You longed to keep Finn wrapped up in cotton wool, part of you wanted to sling him by ears and drag him to Tommy, demanding that he quit the gang and scold Tom for ever letting your youngest sibling be a part of something that could kill him. But the night would end, Finn would kiss your cheeks and tell you he’d see you again, and he’d head to the Garrison or a new club with Isaiah. He’d wander the streets high as a kite, whilst you were stuck alone in a house that didn’t belong to you, a Blinder standing guard outside, punished for sins you hadn’t committed.
You had everything sorted. Your bag was packed and you’d asked your best friend Isabella to purchase a train ticket under your name, opting for one that left just before midnight so you could make your departure as painless as possible. You’d hidden all the evidence under your bed, in an empty shoebox left over from your birthday, a pair of expensive heels bought by Tommy as a bribe to keep you placid. You hated how he tried to keep you quiet with material items, but dammit, the man had good taste.
The night you left, you burned everything. You watched every trace of your secret catch alight and then shrivel into ash, every tiny thread that could lead to your whereabouts gather into a heap at the bottom of the fireplace, smoke filling the room. You bit back tears as you noticed the family photo on the mantle, a present from Polly one Christmas, all of you squashed together, the boys stoic under the lights, the girls glowing with beauty. You were wrapped under Arthur’s arm, Tommy’s palm flat against your back, holding you in place. At the time you had squirmed, finding it dominating and aggressive, but looking at the black and white photograph now, you thought it looked comforting.
You didn’t have time to dwell in your feelings, the large grandfather clock in the hall chimed, signalling that it was getting later and you would have to make a move. You had already almost been caught, and your whole body was on edge, a chill making its way down your spine. The rest of the family were out, it had taken weeks of planning to make sure they were all out of range on the night you needed to leave. You’d planted a seed in Johnny Dogs head that he should throw a party, inconspicuously dropping hints whenever the excitable man was around. It didn’t take long before he had persuaded Arthur to close the Garrison for the public one night and invite the whole street round to drink and dance.
You had feigned illness in the few days that led up, moping around more than usual and coughing and spluttering if anyone came too close. You seriously considered becoming an actress because even the all knowing Polly was fooled, tutting as she placed a hand on your forehead and made you cups of lemon and lavender tea to ail your “sore throat”. That morning as you boiled eggs for your youngest brother and cousin, you sniffled and limped like you were in the running as an extra in a Charlie Chaplin movie.
“I don’t want to catch whatever you have!” Finn said, squirming away from you as he dunked his toast into his dippy egg, yolk exploding over the rim of the cup and onto Polly’s fine china. “I have to be well for tonight.”
“You get invited to one party and you suddenly think you’re in with the big dogs.” Michael muttered, dragging his fork along the plate, scraping up every last crumb and making you wince at his lack of manners.
“Oi! I’ve been a Blinder longer than you have.”
“Oh, is that so? Well...”
“Put a sock in it will you? You’re both behaving like animals and I don’t need another bloody headache.” You scolded, placing your head in your hands and groaning for effect.
They both mumbled lacklustre apologies but you didn’t miss the sly kick Finn made to his cousin under the table, the corners of his mouth turning up in mischief.
“Are you coming tonight?” Finn asked, recoiling as you leant forward wiped the dirty corners of his mouth with the pad of your thumb. “Tommy says you can.”
You rolled your eyes, and wrinkled your nose in displeasure, “Well that’s awfully kind of him.” You grumbled sarcastically, “How honourable of the bloody king to say what I can and can’t do!”
“You know he just wants to protect you.” Michael said, looking at you over the top of his teacup. You raised an eyebrow at the sheer adoration in your cousins voice, knowing that Tommy probably seemed incredible to someone he wasn’t trying to control.
“That’s very nice of him, but I actually think I’m going to call it an early night, it will be nice to have some uninterrupted sleep for once.” You lied, peering at the boys with faux annoyance.
Finn licked his spoon clean, slurping loudly and you smacked him on the back of the head, pulling his hair gently when he protested. “You should come.” He murmured, chewing on his bottom lip as if it held a new loaf of bread for him to devour. “It won’t be the same without you.”
His words were so simple and kind that you felt your heart shatter. You knew leaving was the right thing to do, you had to leave Small Heath or risk your sanity, but Finn was the one nagging voice in your skull that made you want to stay. You pushed your chair over to him, listening as it squealed against the wood flooring, and grabbed his face in your palms. “I love you, Finnegan.” You said, looking him straight in his big eyes and using the nickname you created when you were a child. He struggled gently against your grip, squirming from embarrassment but you saw the corners of his mouth turn up ever so slightly. You placed three sloppy kisses across his face, wondering when he got so big and you brushed your thumb over his cheek all whilst he wriggled against you.
“Promise me you’ll take care of yourself?”
“It’s only the Garrison!”
“Finn.” You said sharply, “Promise me?”
His eyes searched yours, a thin layer of confusion across his features, pupils darting for some kind of explanation. You pinched his cheeks playfully and he nodded, your hands raising with the movement.
“Yes! I promise!” He relented, sticking his tongue out like he was five again.
“Good.” You smiled, placing another dramatically long kiss on the heat of his forehead, laughing when he pushed you away, Michael watching with patient yet curious eyes.
“You better not have got any bloody lipstick on me!” He exclaimed, dramatically wiping his face and checking his reflection in his spoon. You elbowed him, feeling a rush of love and protection that enveloped your body like a tidal wave. You knew that leaving was going to be like ripping a plaster off a wound, painful at first but necessary if you wanted to heal. You knew that you couldn’t be there for Finn, not completely or in the way that he deserved, if you spent any more time drowning in your own sadness, falling into a shell of yourself.
By nine o’clock the house was empty.
You heaved your suitcase out from under the bed, groaning at the strain in your arms and hauled it down the stairs, careful not to leave any scuff marks on the paint. You kept your mind busy, putting away dishes and mugs, wiping down the cabinets and emptying the bins, anything to keep you distracted. You had downed a glass of wine and were enjoying the fuzzy feeling of your tongue when the front door whined on its hinges, a shadow filling the hall.
You froze.Your spine straightening and your palms beginning to sweat, you glanced at the suitcase by your feet, swearing loudly and pushing it under the dining room table, covering the sides with a lace tablecloth. Michael entered, his head snapping up at the sight of you, raising a brow under the yellow light.
“What are you doing up? Thought you were sick.”
“I am.” You said, wringing your hands together and trying to cool the flush that had risen to your cheeks. “I just came down for a drink. What are you doing here?”
“I borrowed John’s lighter, forgot to bring it with me.” he smiled, gesturing to the glass in your hands, “Oh right, everybody knows alcohol is the cure for any illness.”
You grinned gently, the light not reaching your eyes. You considered lying, spinning more tales to make yourself seem innocent, but you didn’t see the point in digging yourself down any deeper.
“Mike? Will you do me a favour? Keep an eye on Finn...Please.”
He nodded, looking you up and down. He was clever, one of the brightest young men you had ever met and you didn’t doubt that he had an inkling as to what was going on.
“I will. Promise.”
He smiled, digging around the drawer to his left and pulling out Johns signature brass lighter, flicking the lid and letting the flame dance in the dark. His eyes softened slightly as he made his way to the door, gentle words falling from his lips.
“Take care of yourself, (Y/N).”
You watched him as he strode away from the house, all broad shouldered and tall, a millennium away from the soft spoken boy you had met just over a year ago. His silhouette cut through the dark and through your hazy eyes you swore he looked just like Tommy, with his similar gait and self assured confidence. It made you feel jealous, how easy it was for Michael to slip into the family, find his footing amongst those scrambling up the ladder whilst you still feel like you’re drowning. You loathed yourself for admitting it, but you felt as if Michael was more of a Shelby than you were despite stronger blood running through your veins.
You were snapped out of your trance however, by the bright white light of the moon casting down through the windows. You sighed, grabbing your purse and pulling out two letters, sealed and stamped with the expensive wax Arthur had bought you for Christmas. You placed them on the top of the table, letting your fingertips graze over the names written in ink. There were two, a longer, more personal one for Finn and another for rest of the family, letting them know you were safe and asking for them to not look for you. You told them that you would be back one day, but as you grabbed the handles of your trunk and took one final glance at the house you had spent far too long trapped in, you weren’t sure if that was the truth.

after being in the shower im gonna commence with my tentative ideas for an au continuation of His Dark Materials I pretty much liked how it ended, this is just a “but what if tho” kind of thing
-The centermost change here is that Dust Wants The Portals.  The “End of Destiny” now Also means ending the fact that people “have” to be confined to their own worlds -Why? The portals have the potential to exponentially increase the interactions between sapient life, and the things they’ll be able to create and accomplish together, greatly encouraging the creation and flow of even more Dust as they do so.  I mean, look at all the crazy fuckshit Lord Asriel was able to accomplish, and the Amber Spyglass itself. -The Kingdom of Heaven doesn’t want this, because it’ll make everything way harder to control, but their excuse is that the multiverse “isn’t ready”. -Obviously, this doesn’t automatically mean there’s nothing wrong with the portals, and this system inherently has a bunch of obvious risks.  Fixing their faults and mitigating their risks is part of the whole point of the journeying now. -To this end, the thing that temporarily fixes the Dust flow of Mulefa-World isn’t actually the love between Will and Lyra, it’s the accumulated power of the bonds and new discoveries from human and mulefa interaction. -As it turns out, opening the land of the dead drastically improve Dust flow, both reducing the listlessness of ghosts and allowing the streams of dissolving ghosts to release huge quantities of Dust.  Once the main Abyss hole is closed, this already pretty much stabilizes the Dust supply long enough to find a permanent solution. -Enough Dust exchange between two or more worlds will actually pretty much cancel out the daemon problem, as it turns out. -To retain a sense of loss/sacrifice, Will and Lyra were further altered by the world of the dead, and can basically be described as like, ghost-witches, because their process was actually more potent and grueling than the witch process, making it kind of impossible for either of them to live truly normal lives. -They age, but in a roundabout, not-really kind of way that is basically more like limited shape-shifting than actual aging, and they are technically sort of dead now. Their bodies are kind of a midground between flesh and dust, and their daemons never truly settle.  Despite having them, they still have a degree of the off-putting quality of severed people. -On the bright side, this makes them good for helping out with realizing a truly stable portal system, because it’ll take decades and decades to safely accomplish in a way that won’t bring mass pandemonium.  Because it’ll take so long, there are still at least lulls in action where they can recuperate and work on their mental health after going through so much. -Taking the idea that ghosts can already stay corporeal for a little while after they leave and running with it, ghosts can train and incorporate more Dust into themselves to basically become Specter-slayers instead of just dissolving, with the ultimate goal being portals that will no longer make specters at all. -If you do want to just dissolve, steps are taken to make this easier to accomplish, the training to be a specter-slayer remains lengthy and arduous. -Roger, Lee, and John become these slayers and also those two gay angel dudes can come back to life because I said so.  (more seriously, it’s probably because the characters take advantage of the knowledge they get from new worlds to create some machine or ritual that can basically recollect their Dust and reform them... This doesn’t work on Metatron or God because one fell into the abyss and the other is too old and fragile even when reformed) -Idk if it’s because I watched too much Steven Universe, but I also like the idea of those two angels being able to fuse into a cooler, stronger, “denser” angel to make up for not having flesh. -There are still downsides to being a specter-slayer, since they don’t have flesh or daemons, and in many places have to be a secret, but they do get to interact with the world quite normally otherwise. -Because of this though, Will and Lyra don’t have to be alone, but they do still have to deal with the fact that no ghost, angel, or witch is quite like them- They’re completely unique. -After a while, Will and Lyra sort of push each other away for each of their own good, feeling they’re overly-dependent on one another, (and being kind of right about this) and this ends in one of two ways: 1: After they’ve matured and made more friends and grown wiser and mentally healthier and all that, they reconcile and fall back into a healthier relationship 2: They’re both not straight and end up in gay relationships with other witches or specter-slayers.  They’re still like Ultimate All-Time Besties though. This particular part can’t go any other way for me because the Only, and I mean O n l y way I would accept het other than Will/Lyra was if they weren’t cis.  (Given that they use mild shapeshifting to “age”, this would also be useful for that) Anyway, that’s about everything I’ve got on this AU for now.

i am truly the worst at introductions, so i do want to apologize ahead of time asdfg !! on that note, im gi and i am screaming of excitement right now !! its been a minute since ive been excited for a group, and an already open on at that .. anyway asdfj before i start rambling this right here is my baby face juniper and if you want to know more about her dumb ass please keep on reading !!
╰☆╮ MADISON BEER ─ JUNIPER DUNAY identifies as CISFEMALE and uses SHE AND HER pronouns. they’re a MUSIC ARIST AND SONG WRITER, and they’re only TWENTY ONE ! they’re said to be +ALTRUISTIC, but also -ERRATIC. i guess that’s why they’re known as THE SKOOKUM in the tabloids. (mabel)
trigger warning !! gang mention !! murder mention !!
                                                               the synthesis !!
scribbles on empty pages that equal pain, anger, and struggle. words that had only been meant for one, carved themselves into the brunettes skin the moment air filled her lungs for the first time .. screams into the air, she formed into a fear that driven those around her. a fear that was so powerful, it made even a king cower. her king. the daughter of a man who ran an empire, was vowed to be protected along with her four other siblings who stood beside her. but the life of crime and danger always tugged at their skin, forced their claws into their flesh. it was an eat or being eaten lifestyle, and without choice juniper dunay was thrown in the middle of it. it was her bloodline. and while her mother wanted to protect and shelter, her father wanted to toughen her skin and wrap the chains of their gang around her feet. she was forced into situations by loyalty, by the love she had for of those around her, by the drive that was forced within her. but, this lifestyle was not always for her. the constant fear, the murder, the dirty hands, the loss, the pain, and the anger, it sat on her shoulders like boulders. the pain and anger that latched on to her and her siblings wrist troubled their mother, at first it was an itch, and then it was a rash, and then it ate at her flesh. she was barely skin and mostly bone when she decided to take her twin boys, juniper, and her youngest child out of their fathers arms, lifestyle, and curse.
some important extras !! ; these are mostly for me to keep in memory of but can also be used for plots and whatnot !!
despite being a crime family, the dunay had hide behind the socialite title for decades. being something people that, everyone adores but no one can really get their hands on. basically, think of a celebrity family, the kardashians, the westbrooks and how they live. that was the dunays, but tie in gang ties and there you have them.
her mother and father split when juniper was young, and despite them not exactly being in his life anymore they could never truly hide from him nor not be connected to him considering how public their family is.
most people believe the reason for the split, and the children not talking to their father side is because of an affair and despite it not being anywhere near the truth juniper and the rest of them let the media take it and run.
her oldest twin brother, has started to get back into the lifestyle their mother has done everything in her power to keep them out of- yet despite the knowledge and knowing for a fact that its not something he should be in she has kept his secret out of loyalty and has lied countless of times to not only his mother for him, but her other siblings as well as his friends and others in his life.
she once filled out a police report on her father, exposing everything he has and everything he has done. of course, it came from a place of anger and hurt, and a way to get back at him for not being in her the way she wants him to be. she never actually filed this report considering it could have gotten her into a lot of trouble with her father and his gang, not just trouble put could’ve put her on her death bed.
despite the anger and hatred she has for her father, he still sends her along with his three other kids money each month; while one of the twins refuses to touch it and her mother forbids it… she and her two other siblings have used it to benefit them to help build their careers and fund their startups, lifestyle, buy them new cars, spontaneous trips, and anything else they can get their hands on. considering she has made a living for herself now, she usually takes the money he still sends and donates it.
at five years old, juniper had actually witnessed a murder (the reason her mother removed them from her fathers live) and to this day it still lives on in her head. so bad, that she use to have night terrors (and occasionally still does ).
a lot of their time when people ask her about her father, she changes the subject or gives short answers. its always so hard not to expose him and in all reality she’s mostly just stuck in a state of not knowing how to deal with her emotions when it comes to him and their situation.
 important career information !! ;
basically, music was something that came rather early in her life. even as a small child, she had the habit of singing everywhere, everything, all the time..
her interest in music only grew as she did, putting herself in piano lessons and guitars lessons from the moment she was able to express her want to do so. of course, she had other hobbies such as soccer and dance but? music was her number one.
after separating from her father, her mother kind of pushed her children into normal things? encouraged them to do whatever they want. and so, at sixteen when she told her she wanted to be a singer her mom did everything in her power to make that happen.
her already having created a fanbase from just being a ‘socialite’ breaking out into new industries was?? easier then most have it.
a year later, age seventeen, juniper released her first single ‘my boy, my town’ that peaked number one on the charts for three weeks.
she has been singing ever since, and of course growing and learning as a person and an artist. she is currently writing her second album.
personality !! ;
compassionate, hard loving and big hearted.
she goes above and beyond the limits for those she loves and feels deeply for.
she will burry your secrets so you dont have to, jump in the darkest of waters with you so you dont have to fight them yourself, will pull you into chaotic nights to keep your mind from straying to all the bad things in life.. she is a giver.
trust issues are wrapped around her neck, clawing at her flesh. they are heavy on her shoulders, along with the ones she formed from her toxic relationship with her dad. she can be difficult is all.
she refuses to let anything or anyone defend her and with that, you can nine out of ten times see her ebullient soul forcing its way out of her.
she is always a super playful person, alway has to be teasing someone.
she wants to give people around her home and comfort, someone they can depend on.
she is guarded, but its only because she feels everything so deeply.
once she lets you in, you’re in forever. but when she hurts, she really hurts and when you cross that line you cross that line.
which is funny because she hates attachment but often finds herself getting attached to people.
she is always on the move !! like if she isnt in the studio shes writing . if she isnt writing she is dragging her friends on trips across the world, endless parties. she seeks excitement, and things to keep her away from her thoughts.
she holds grudges, and anger.
you really cant be just anyone to get another chance after doing her wrong.
shes passionate, ambitious, stubborn, sarcastic.
shes a affectionate drunk, let her live asdfg.
meaningful relationships really mean a lot to her? like she just longs meaningful connections with others.
she honestly?? just wants to live life to the fullest??
shes also annoying as fuck just a warning ASDFGH
not personality related but !! close friends and family usually call her june and/or juni !!
please, i absolutely love plotting? and am opening to so many different ideas and connections and everything else. dont be afraid to throw anything at me!! you can find some of her wanted connections here !! and of course know that i can expand on any of these and still have a whole lot more if you dont see anything on there that you like !! so with that, like this to post? or jump the gun and come message me!!

Hug Me
AN: This was inspired by a fic that i read before hope u enjoy it! sorry for any grammar mistakes english isn’t my first language, i’m open to criticism tho:)
==========
It seems like yesterday I was happy with nothing. Today, I make a wish to the moon. I told her if I can see you once again, I'll do one last dance with you to this song.
To remember you forever,
Just one last dance...
==========
Have you ever heard the word 'breathless'?
It has different meaning of its own if you put it in different use. One could describe the meaning of extreme surprise where you just froze in your spot, mouth hung agape as you look at the most precious thing in you possession in awe.
It truly was a wonderful description to appreciate such blessings.
Yet, in another meaning, one that you make sense of literally, has such a different effect, with a stark contrast between light and darkness, akin of a nightmare in the middle of a day dream.
==========
Breathless
[breth-lis]
1. without breath or breathing with difficulty; gasping; panting:
2. dead; lifeless.
==========
Everything happened so fast. One moment she was just standing there in her comfy clothes, casually washing the dishes then the next moment. She saw her lying on the floor as the plate she was holding dropped and shattered against the hard wood floor. It might be just at the spur of the moment, where she exists and everything fell apart. She was rooted to the spot, head staying on the same spot her love used to stand just moments ago. Slowly, but surely everything came rushing back, like a river current overcoming any hindrance. Her hands were shaking when she finally got control of her body.
"LISA!" She screamed then, heart gripped with the panic brewing inside her at seeing her lover so frail, surrounded with the broken glass scattered around her body. She was shaken with pity that at such a tragic misery her love was still attention's sweet centre. Painted was the tragically beautiful story of their journey, started with her world brushed with dark muddy colours.
“oh mygod ohmygod,”
Jisoo swore she never ran so fast in her life.
In the blink of an eye, she was holding her lover's head on her lap as her fingers fumbled with her phone, the trembling digits struggling to call 9-1-1.
"I need your help please... She fainted....I-" That was the last thing Lisa heard as the black spots on her vision finally swallowed her whole. When the last sigh left her lips, her body became slack.
And that,
was the night everything changed.
==========
The trip to the hospital was not one on her favourite list of trips but, at seeing her lover sudden decline of health, she wondered just how long it would take for the ambulance to reach the hospital. She sighed over and over again as she held Lisa’s hand close and kissed each of her knuckles.
She choked back a sob as her eyes welled with tears and the state Lisa was in. Oxygen mask covered her face, and somehow in the span of minutes she had only just noticed how pale and gaunt her love actually is, a drastic difference to her usually fair and healthy body. She cursed herself, hating the fact that she had failed to see the symptoms that might have had explained the ongoing situation.
“I’m sorry baby, I should have looked after you better and stayed home more, fuck I’m- I’m fucking sorry I shouldn’t have I-,” Her speech was cut off due to the sob threatening to burst out.
“pl-please just wake u-up please…”
It may seem unusual for those close to her but,
She prayed that night.
To whatever gods there are out there, she just hoped they’d listened.
When the sound of cars honking filled her hearing and the pounding of her heart reverberated throughout her body, she closed her lids tightly. Lips mouthing an inaudible prayer as tears welled in her eyes. She held her lover's hand a little tighter, yet somehow, she still refused to cry.
‘Me and my pride’ she muses.
She refrained herself to believe anything but her lover being okay again.
She had to be okay..
She just had to...
==========
The short trip to the hospital turned out to be a long one. The seconds and the minutes turned into hours as she waited outside the ER. She paced back and forth for she knew that there was something wrong, though she refused to believe it. Realising she might have to tell Chaeyoung, she steeled herself against the obvious thunderstorm and pressed call.
It doesn’t take long for the said best friend/ sister to pick up, and for some reason she felt guilty, like it was somehow her fault when the first hello filtered through the phone.
“Jisoo unnie? Are you there?”
“Umm… Chaeng, I-I’m so fucking sorry, I don’t know what just happened I-“
“Unnie? Please calm down, what happened? Is Lisa okay?”
“She-“
“She’s just been admitted to the hospital, Chaeyoung-ah…”
“WHAT?! JENNIE WE NEED TO GO NOW!”
“Chaeng- I..” She tried to say when the phone beeps, indicating the end of the call.
They came 15 minutes after she hang up their call, appearance so dishevelled some might think they’re some kind of a hobo.
“Is she okay?” Jennie asked as Chaeyoung was currently feeling too wrecked to even function.
“I- I don’t know , Jen.. One minute she was standing and the next she was suddenly on the floor unconscious.” She explained as her hands swung wildly in her manic.
Jennie said nothing but pulled Jisoo into a tight hug in which she immediately melt into, followed by Chaeyoung as the three of them relied on each other for the comfort they badly needed at the moment.
Their million questions were finally answered another hour later. In midst of her mini panic, the doctor handling Lisa's case came out of the room and approached her jittery self.
"I'm sorry...”
That was all Jisoo needed to hear to know that, she was not okay, her lover never was. She knew, Lisa knew that she didn't have much time left and yet, she still smiled and act that bubbly personality of hers. Always unyielding, always without flaw, not even once.
A gasp was heard, yet she couldn’t care less.
Jisoo pondered, just when did Lisa became such a good liar?
"I hate you so much..." She sobbed as her back slid against the white hospital wall. Its horror and constant dullness that painted her peripheral stayed unflinching. Leaving her, to fend for herself after the heart wrenching news that might just destroyed every good thing she had left in her life.
‘such a tragic life of a dreamer’’Such a pity’
I wonder Lisa,
I do wonder...
==========
Jisoo spent a restless night back at home. She laid on her side of the bed and took in the unusual coldness of her own personal sanctuary. Her stare resided on the empty right side of her bed. The golden sparks in her eyes had faded hours ago, only the remnants of it stayed. It had turned tedious brown in its departure.
She breathed deep, trying to remember her scent. Truth to be told, it had been hard for her to leave her love alone on the hospital bed, but she was not one to defy doctor's order. Though she really gave the nurses a run for their money when they need to forcefully dragged her away from her lover's limp body.
She decided then, she should have fought against their grasps harder, for Lisa was worth every struggle.
Every. Single. One.
==========
Days passed in a blur after the news. It was broadcasted on their social media accounts that they will be taking a long hiatus with the reasons unknown. It sure did cause an uproar in their fandom with their seemingly abrupt disappearance but in the end they couldn’t do anything but to accept their idols’ decision.
Realising the ticking time that was eating away her love’s life, Jisoo brought her everywhere her heart wished for. Her heart clenched every time she saw Lisa's face light up when she brought her to places she had never been before, knowing any moment now could be her last.
She smiled bitterly at that. Her time was limited and she was fucking desperate for any kind of miracle. She prayed every night, for something, anything, to happen.
Because she would give it all just for her to be okay again. That way, they would be able to do the future they had planned out together. In their future, they would be living in a 2 storey mansion with Dalgomie, Leo, Luca and 4 kids running around the house. They would grow old together, wasting their time watching the sunset every evening with a warm cup of tea.
Fate always said otherwise, because the one time she actually found someone who loved her for her. They took her away from Jisoo.
Even sometimes, love was not enough...
==========
It was another cold evening on the midst of December. The couple was snuggling on the couch just enjoying each other's warmth. Jennie and Chaeyoung were out, buying food for their dinner. No words were spoken, though the comfortable silence of the empty dorm was broken when Lisa called out to Jisoo.
"Jisoo?" Lisa asked quietly, head laying slack against Jisoo's chest.
"Hmm?" She responded, hand moving to stroke Lisa's hair gently.
"Can we sing right now?"
Her hand stilled from her movement as she looked down at her. Usually, Jisoo would have laughed at the random request but the look on Lisa's face, left her stunned. Absentmindedly, Jisoo started to sing one of her favourite song, Long Live.
It really was ironic.
"I said remember this moment
In the back of my mind...” She started, voice wavering a bit.
She was shaken out of her reverie when Lisa suddenly sat up and started pulling at her hands, urging her to stand with her.
“The time we stood with our shaking hands
The crowds in stands went wild
We were the kings and the queens
And they read off our names
The night you danced like you knew our lives
Would never be the same ..."
At this point, they were both dancing around in their apartment, not caring about what would happen in the future. Live in the now they said.
“You held your head like a hero...”
Lisa sang, voice sounding off key but none of them care anyways. She crossed her arms and posed as superman pretending to be showing her ‘spectacular biceps’ that had become bony and last muscular over the past few months. She nodded her head at Jisoo cueing at her to sing the next lines.
"On a history book page
It was the end of a decade
But the start of an age..."
Jisoo stayed quiet and instead, she only looked at her funnily. Lisa had no choice but to continue singing with a grumpy voice.
"Come on CHICHU!! I SAID ONE, TWO, THREE... SING WITH ME!!" She held out her hand between them as if to share the microphone for the both of them.
"Long live the walls we crashed through
All the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
I was screaming, "Long live all the magic we made"
And bring on all the pretenders
One day we will be remembered...”
This time Jisoo did join the fun, screaming with her lover as they belted out the lyrics. They might just sound like dying whale and the neighbours would surely filled out a noise complaint but seriously, they could careless right now. No headlines, no media, no worries. Just Jisoo and Lisa singing off key in their penthouse apartment.
"I said remember this feeling
I passed the pictures around
Of all the years that we stood there on the sidelines
Wishing for right now..."
Lisa continued as she looked at Jisoo and pulled on a funny face, successfully bringing a long overdue smile on her girlfriend's face.
"We are the kings and the queens
You traded your baseball cap for a crown..."
Jisoo gestured to Lisa's head as if to put on an imaginary crown on her. Lisa smiled at the gesture and did an over exaggerated curtsy before standing up straight to urged Jisoo to keep singing as she swayed from left to right, doing some weird dancing of her own.
"When they gave us our trophies
And we held them up for our town
And the cynics were outraged
Screaming, "This is absurd"
'Cause for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world..."
Jisoo belted the lyrics as she knelt on the floor like a rock star. Lisa was having the time of her life as she rolled down on the floor laughing her ass off.
"Love live the wall we crashed through
All the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
I was screaming, "Long live all the magic we made"
And bring on all the pretenders..." Jisoo sang loudly.
I'm not afraid," Lisa continued with a big grin on her face.
"Long live all the mountains we move
I had the time of my life
Fighting dragons with you
I was screaming, "Long live the look on your face"
And bring on all the pretenders
One day we will be remembered
Hold on to spinning around
Confetti falls to the ground
May these memories break our fall..."
Jisoo actually sang beautifully this time, giving it her all as she pour her heart for their impromptu Lichu-karaoke session. As she opened her mouth to sing the next stanza, Lisa had already beaten her to it.
"Will you take a moment,
promise me this...
That you'll stand by me forever
But if God forbid fate should step in,
And force us into a goodbye..."
Lisa sang the lines softly to Jisoo as she put her hand over her heart as tears welled in her eyes.
"If you have children someday
When they point to the pictures,
Please tell them my name..."
Her voice cracked as she sang it, knowing the reality of it all. Jisoo rushed to comfort her but one hand motion from Lisa and another plea of "I'm okay," left her with no choice but to continue the song.
"Tell them how the crowds went wild
Tell them how I hope they shine
Long live the walls we crashed through
I had the time of my life, with you...”
Jisoo presented Lisa with a teary smile as she pointed her fingers at her. She furiously wiped her tears away, and when she belted the next line, she was determined to end this in a good note.
All smiles no frowns.
"Long, long live the walls we crashed through
All the kingdom lights shined just for me and you
And I was screaming, "long live all the magic we made"
And bring on all the pretenders
I'm not afraid..." She sang as she put on a brave face and a salute at Lisa, getting a smile out in return. Jisoo gave her a signal and they sang the last lines together.
"Singing long live all the mountains we moved
I had the time of my life
Fighting dragons with you
And long, long live the look on your face
And bring on all the pretenders
One day, we will be remembered..."
They finished the song quickly and enveloped each other in a tight embrace, tears still streaming down their faces.
"Long live us...” Jisoo whispered against her head.
"Long live you...” She added with a smile, before pressing a light kiss on Lisa’s forehead.
You will be remembered...
==========
Lisa did last longer than expected as she somehow managed to get past through her birthday and Jisoo's. Though another incident might have barraged their way at her.
On the morning after Jisoo's birthday, Lisa had stupidly fell off her bed. But that, was not the problem. It was the excruciating pain that followed after that. She swore she had never screamed so loud in her life.
Hearing her screams, Jisoo bolted upstairs towards their shared bedroom. Fingers fumbling with her phone ready to call 9-1-1.
This was giving her a sense of dĂŠjĂ  vu. Added with the fact that in dire times like this, Jennie and Chaeng always seemed to be away at an important meeting with their management, leaving Jisoo alone to deal with a crying Lisa.
Seeing her Lisa laying helplessly on the floor, screaming her head off, Jisoo panic level accelerate to 100 real quick. She knelt down beside the whimpering girl and wafted her hand through her hair, while whispering sweet nothings to soothe her pain.
"You're gonna be okay, baby.."
You will,
You have to...
==========
"She fell the wrong way, Chaeyoung. I've said this to you a million times. Why won't you believe me?" Jisoo hissed at Chaeyoung as they walked down the hospital halls to Lisa's room. She was being prepped for immediate surgery because apparently her stupid fall could possibly cause paralysis. Stupid bed and stupid floor, she had said.
"Wow unnie , Okay I believe you, but seriously you need to chill. You're basically on fire right now.." Chaeyoung tread carefully, afraid to get Jisoo madder than she already was.
"You're dealing with this better than I ever was Chaeng. How are you okay with her dying?" She ranted, frustrated.
"I'm not, and I never will be okay with her dying, so don't even try to say that. But, do you know what makes me strong unnie? It was her wish. She personally told me that she wanted her last days to be full of smiles, not tears; not frowns. So I tried, I really tried my best every day to keep the smile on my face, to keep the happy thoughts on my head as if she wasn't dying. I had to respect her wish. I had to, unnie..." Chaeyoung confessed as she blinked rapidly to avoid the tears from falling, knowing Lisa would caught up with her act once she saw a faint tear marks on her face.
"I'm sorry Chaeyoung-ah, I-I didn't know,"
"It's okay unnie, please just trust me on this. You need to respect her wish too okay?"
"All smiles?"
"All smiles."
==========
It had not been great.
Lisa was paralysed from the waist down. But she had not reacted poorly. She had taken a moment of silence after the news, both her lover and best friends looking at her expectantly, gauging her reaction. What happened next was not expected by the both of them.
With a defeated sigh, Lisa had looked back up towards the doctor and asked a simple question.
"Can I go back home now?"
The meaning behind her words were clear, she didn't want to talk about it and it was to be expected. Yet, that split moment when she looked at Jisoo at the word 'home', really messed with Chaeyoung's emotion. She had lived, knowing that her best friend and sister had found her home. A place for her to belong, yet, it was wretched from her grasp just after she found it.
Home…
Lost.
==========
Today was the day the two brotp? finally get to hang out. Though, Jennie realised she should have done this sooner. She had immediately became fast friends with Lisa after their first meeting with each other during their trainee days. She had said, the only reason they got along so well was because their ‘stupid aegyo tendencies and annoyingly cute gummy smiles ’ cheers to Jennie for that. She knew her gummy smiles are valuable winning weapon. So to speak, with their fast growing friendship and what not, this news had truly affected Jennie deeply.
They were strolling around the central park, not a lot of people were in sight which was a plus to the both of them.
"Jennie, if you didn't stop thinking, smoke might came out of your head any time now," Lisa suddenly said, causing her to pause in her movement.
"Shut it Manoban, or do I have to hit you to do so?" Jennie clapped back at her best friend who now appeared offended. She put a dramatic hand over her chest and said.
"Really? You'll hit a cripple? WHERE ARE YOUR MORALS?"
"Where yours are?" Jennie sassed.
"Shit, let me call Satan. He has them. Along with my list of fucks I do not give."
"Oh please, SOMEONE PLEASE GET THIS GIRL SHE'S ANNOYING ME," Jennie was all but shout.
"Watch it Nini or I'll tell Chaengie about your behaviour."
"You are such a tattle-teller, you b*tch. You disgust me," Jennie said in her best Kim-Kardashian-accent as she flipped her hair to get her point across.
"My energy should not be wasted talking to you, move along please I need to get my ice cream," Lisa commanded from her wheelchair bossily.
"You're lucky you're cute or else I would've left you somewhere," Jennie complained as she grudgingly started to push the wheelchair to the ice cream shop.
==========
Miracles do happen, sadly it didn't always last.
==========
Lisa knew her time was coming, knowing she had outlived the doctor's predictions; this was bound to happen anytime soon. It was a little after the New Year. She was being woken up, with severe chest pains. She screamed which immediately woke Jisoo up.
"Lisa baby, what's wrong?" She asked soothingly, trying to keep the panic from her voice.
Jisoo didn't get an answer from Lisa except for her occasional whimpers which caused her to curl further into herself, hoping to make the pain stop.
She knew her time was coming,
But she sure as heck was not ready for it.
==========
Lisa was hooked to a ventilator that night, her lungs had failed her and she didn't expect any less. Seeing her lover so fragile against the hospital bed, Jisoo made a beeline to the chair beside the bed and held her sleeping hand tightly.
She leaned her head closer to the bed and rests it at the edge of the pillow. It might have been an uncomfortable position but she wanted to, she need, to remember her.
I don't want to forget...
Right before she continued her restless slumber, Jisoo hummed sotto voce. She sang a song very dear to her as a prayer, and God, she did hope Lisa would listen close in her slumber.
“Please stay by my side,
Please stay with me..
Please don't let go of me, the one who's holding your hand...
I love you,
I love you...
In the long silence, a sound comes, screaming
From my foolish and weak heart..."
==========
The goodbye was the hardest.
==========
Lisa was looking at Jisoo as best as she could through her half lidded eyes. She could she the hudled figures of her best friends standing on the other side of her hospital bed. God, she was so tired, and she had long accepted her fate. She stared at Jisoo with any adoration she could muster and smiled weakly.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She suddenly said, breaking Jisoo out of her trance.
"I want to remember you."
"Don't do this to yourself baby, please"
"I- I can't Lice, please I can't forget you. I don't want you to go. I LOVE YOU! Why is that not enough?" She sobbed as she desperately cling to her hospital gown to discard any possible distance between the two of them.
"It doesn't matter if I'm not physically beside you, unnie. Please don't cry, love, I'll look after you from the sky. You won't forget me because I'm here with you. I stayed in your heart. I'll visit you in your dreams, there you can relinquish all your joys and sorrows to me. You'll remember me, just like the way my heart will call out to you in the after life..."
"I love you, Lice. I'd give it all just for one more day with you..."
"Don't dwell- on your sadness please, all smiles, okay?" Lisa had to stop in between words to catch her breath as her lungs started failing on her.
“Unnie, if it is time for me to go, can you take care of Jisoo unnie for me?”
Lisa never said it to anyone  in particular neither Jennie or Chaeyoung, but the message was clear. They responded with a tight squeeze on her arm and a teary smile.
Their last moments together were spent with Jisoo brushing the remnants of Lisa hazel brown hair, as they enjoyed the silence that sang lullabies for those in passing. It wasn’t long when the silence was broken by none other than Lisa.
"Can I get one last kiss before I go to sleep, Chu?"
“Anything for you love,” Jisoo smiled a bittersweet smile through her red eyes and puffy cheeks before leaning in as they lips met in passion.
So desperately, trying to make it a kiss, one could remember forever.
"Sing for me please, Chichu…" Lisa whispered her last wish. She moved her body a little bit as she sagged against the hospital bed, eyes fluttering close.
"Hallelujah,
You were an angel in the shape of my love
When I fell down you'll be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go...
And when God takes you back,
He'll say, "Hallelujah, you're home."
Jisoo wait until her breathing became no more, before she stopped. With one last cold kiss to the lips, Jisoo muttered her prayer against her skin.
"In peace may you leave the shore;
In love may you find the next.
Safe passage on your travel," Jisoo finished and wipe her tears away. She leaned her face closer to Lisa's and mumbled against her lips.
"May we meet again, Lisa..."
==========
It was nothing special, another day, another time, another dawn. They recalled that time when a young Lisa Manoban swore that when she died she would do it in such honour, with lots of people crying for her.
They had laughed it off then, saying that she wasn’t even close to a hero or a president. It was a stupid dream to begin with.
Lalisa Manoban didn’t die in such great honour, she didn’t die with the sound of trumpet and manmade tears marring people’s face as they pretend to show empathy to the fallen grace.
She died, on a normal Wednesday afternoon, with 3 of the brightest stars in her life, and I guessed for her,
It was more than enough.
==========
"One last kiss to a cold lips, to seal the prayer."

Leaving intact the value of the existence of things by Russell Moreton Via Flickr: Futuro, Presente, Passato: Remembering Germano Celant (1940–2020) Shumon Basar and Hans Ulrich Obrist www.e-flux.com The art historian, critic, and curator Germano Celant passed away on April 29, 2020, in Milan.

Hey so I love your ship with antiquexbeast. Christblood deserves more love and vampire/witch + demon christblood deserves even more! Can you give us a few headcannons or little fun facts for the ship?
i think you mean @sacrosanctdeceit lol, but that’s chill afefaiwenfiidk im glad ya’ll like our? flailing mess of 30 half verses and wine fueled crack bullshit???idek what headcanons i can give really for the whole ship, mostly since damien acts very differently to the other depend on the verses. i can try to do a minor breakdown of each though?
damien, actual good boi           as a friendship, yeah they’d be a little weird, but pretty much everyone on the block is weird, so they’d find ways of enjoying each other’s company of course ~           as a romantic ship or anything else like that on it’s own, in canon, with like… no au spices or anything, idk i honestly have a hard time shipping it and writing for it lol. this has everything to do with damien as a person and the sheer fact that he wouldn’t ever fuck a married dude, let alone a dude whose married to his best friend like what lol??
demon!joe just terrifies the shit out of him so that’s… yeah… not much to say about that there tbh it’s self explanatory lol
vampire!damien         you know what’s jacked up about this ship? technically he just waits for everyone in the neighborhood to die and then he can be fine hanging out with this demon who, for some inexplicable reason, really has the hots for him.         but damien hangs out in his coffin chewin his nails every morning like “jfc i’m terrible, i’m literally out here messin’ around with the thing possessing the body whose body is married to my best friend oh my god what is wrong with me this is awful and terrible this needs to stop how do i stop this??” but invariable does… nothing… to fix… the problem… until it becomes a debilitating issue lol
also spoiler: i don’t think he’s… actually told this thing that he loves them lol. he’s feelin’ Some Kinda Way about the whole thing but STILL goes and MESSES AROUND with this DEMON, like BOI what I s YoU DoiN??
HCs??       - thoroughly enjoys being domestic and old and will literally come over to curl up on the couch and knit next to demon!boi while he’s doing something calm.        - out of sheer archaic habit, he’s very controlled with his displays of affection and personal space, something he generally forgets that lends a hand in keeping their strange relationship in check. usually the demon is the first to provide affections and compliments first, but every now and then when he’s sure they’re alone he’ll place a hand on the demon’s just so, or press a brief kiss to the corner of his mouth.       - he refuses to tell the demon how old he is, and has made a point to say that it’s rude to ask or poke around his brain for the information. the only hint of his general age one might get would be that he periodically succumbs to fits of feral behavior. normally he’d shut himself in the underground workings of his home until he slept it off, but since the demon’s come into his life and ruined his routine, that’s been completely thrown off.       - he does go through bouts of something he can only describe as narcolepsy. it usually occurs when he’s expended a great deal of energy towards craft in a very limited amount of time, or when he’s put under too much stress ( physiological, emotional, ect ). when he sleeps, he’s never sure if he’ll wake up in a week, a month, or a decade. it’s very difficult to wake him in fact, but since the other immortal has been in his life, he’s had an easier time waking up mid coma for a few moments at a time ~
exorcist!damien          oh my god THIS man in particular is just? he’s absolutely polite, don’t get me wrong, he’s still a sweetheart, but he will not hesitate to back hand you into next week if you happen to be something he has to hunt and/or yeet back into wherever dimension you came from.          he’s not terribly thrilled about the job he has now, but he’s a bit stuck in it since his family made a lot of weird mistakes 50 skrillion years ago, so that’s just part of the ol’ family business now i guess. he does agree that it could be worse, and he’s very happy that the people he works for ensures that his son is always kept safe ( probably so if he dies for some weird reason they can just recruit him and be like GO AVENGE YOUR DAD or some weirdness idk that tends to happen right? )            he’s a tad bit bitter right now, but i think that’s mostly because he’s just annoyed that the target he’s trying to hunt and exterminate is trying to be friends? after previously trying to take his body? like boi… figure yourself out.
HCs??       - if this went anywhere but constant fighting it’d be a hateship i’m alive for that bc im filthy like hands down. i literally can’t think of any scenario where exorcist!dame doesn’t want to just peel the demon out and get the town Jesus Boi back. but here’s this demon. makin things hard. gettin all chummy.      - during daylight and normal hours, he doesn’t look any different, but his skin covered in a great series of tattoos ( scarification?? ) of charms, talismans, demon traps, and assorted other inscriptions. most of them are for banishing entities, ensuring he isn’t possessed, and one spot on his chest that acts as a sort of “spiritual pocket” for a single bonded weapon of choice ( The Order keeps calling them blessed script and the like, but he’s just like yeah, that’s not, you know i’m a witch right this isn’t… okay you know what? that’s fine, not gonna argue, i’m tired– )      - the main issue with the above is demon boi keeps TOUCHING HIM and activating the runes that repel him by reflex. most demons immediately pull away and complain about the pain and being burned, but demon!joe just keeps getting in his space and picking him up and carrying him around he’s just SO DISTURBED BY THIS like do you have a pain kink what is WRONG??      - istg most of this verse is Damien trying to catch demon boi in the act of some bullshit out in public. usually he’s more covert than this, but being as this target is just so SMOOTH and DECENT SEEMING and TOO GOOD at it, it’s now just driving him nuts, so he’s pulling some Willie Coyote stunts he honestly shouldn’t be      - idk i don’t have a lot for this yet other than it just makes me laugh cause i just needed something not so tense as our other verses lol
jfc this was so long I’M SO SORRY i think that’s it though i’m done afoienfawe

MORE UPDATES ON THINGS WHAT HAPPEN
The half week milestone of the hospital house thingie time! I think the term they use for it is "a residential stay"? Cos like its not a hospital its a shared housing block thats just full of doctors. I get to sleep in a real bed and there's a nice community room and board game nights and stuff. But its still really scary how intense the supervision can be! Like they have a window to look into your room once per hour every hour constantly. And they have to go through your undies and catalog them as part of the possessions check. I was not warned about that and it was mega embarassing trying to explain a binder to a bunch of old lady doctors! Oh and i had yo do a urine test today which was possibly the most fuckin embarassing thing in the actual universe. And you're not even allowed to take your own pills! They keep them locked in a big ominous wall of lockers and you have to come into the office and swallow the pill while theyre watching. I guess maybe because some people might be faking their illness and selling their pills on the black market or whatever? But that literally doesnt happen with antidepressants, they have no 'high' or even any effect at all on non-sick people. So it just makes no sense to me and its real embarassing cos like i said i suck at taking pills with plain water and without a straw. The ones i take are real damn chunky things the size of my thumbnail! I think i'l get better at not (literally) choking under pressure over time, tho. Hopefully.
Anyway that's all the bad out of the way! Now the good and the neutral and the just miscellaneous!
Its still nervewracking having to shower in a shared house but they have a cool walk-in shower and ive never tried one of those so it was vaguely interesting. And im allowed to take my showers early at 6am to minimize the chance of anyone else trying to use the door, lol. My biggest fear is having some staff member walk in on me when im naked like back in that homeless hostel. Oh or that time in the homeless hostel where the teenage boys filled the entire bathroom with inflated condoms wall to wall. Like wow so much damn effort to prank the stupid nervous bunni who probably would have been embarassed by literally anything else. Man this place is bringing so many memories of that homeless hostel but at least this time its a place specifically for sick people and they know i'm anxious doing shared cooking and board games and whatever so they dont make fun of me for it. But in a lot of ways that hostel had more freedoms too.. *shrug*
Anyway! A good! I get to have cooking lesson!! I know literally nothing about cooking and now i get to know several thing!! This nice doctor called Josie taught me how to make an omelette and i tasted ham for the first time! That is just how limited my life experiences are, lol. Oh and they want me to say that she's a 'mental health worker' not a doctor, but its all real confusing?? Like they have the staff that look after you and then the only ones we're supposed to call doctors are the ones who actually have the authority to prescribe pills and diagnosies. But like if youre in a hospital you'd call them all doctors, not just the actual surgeon? Or i guess theyre kinda like nursing home staff?? But they cant be support workers cos support workers are specific government assigned inspector type guys like Richard who only meet with you once a week.and i have to remember to not call him a social worker either cos social workers only work with family and custody related stuff. I dunno?? Basically the medical industry has a lot of names that dont really describe what the actual thing is, lol. Anyway the ham omelette was great and now im gonna try and remember so i can try and make it myself next time! HAM ACCOMPLISHED
Also i played bingo with a few other patients and it was fun but funny that i lost 6 times in a row when there were only 3 of us. I got a consolation prize of a pack of neon highlighter pens so hell yeah!!
I'm getting booked in to try some additional classes starting next week on monday and tuesday morning. The computer programming one was sadly unavailable, but i managed tp snag a place in "confidence building group therapy" and "basic how to use power tools". I wasnt really all that interested in that one but i thought it would be a useful skill even if its less fun. And maybe you get to actyally make something to take home at the end? A lil shelf to help organize this awkward lil room better, maybe?
And an unexpected bonus of being semi-hospitalized is that i get a free bus pass! And cos im here cos of my social anxiety theyre gonna help me get outside more and actually use this thing to the fullest! The first thing we did was the trip to actually get the bus pass itself. It was like "bus, take my money to take me to the place where i can never give you money again!" XD Ive been really stupidly nervous about going on tne bus in my old neighbourhood cos MAN it was really isolated there and everything just amplified my mental illness. An almost two hour bus ride to get to ANY SHOPS AT ALL, with only one bus for the whole town so it was always crowded and full of screaming kids and gossipy everyones. Social anxiety: maximum level proud mode!
So yeah i feel BIG ACCONPLISHED! I was able to take this bus for the first time with a doctor coming with me. Power Grandpa The Strong. His actual name is Paul and he has awesome sleeve tattoos of like anchors and dragons and sports teams and stuff! And he likes thrift stores and wearing silly hats too! Its like he's powerful enough to wrestle away everyone's anxieties! I was able to be a bit reckless too and i went out wearing my fave shirt thats like trans pride coloured plaid. A POWERFUL SHIRT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS QUEST! so we went to the office to register this bus pass and i panicked a bit cos apparantky we brought the wrong form and i wrote my name in the wrong box and then my passport photo looked terrible and aaa! But it all worked out and i was kinda freaking out for nothing. And he took me for a lil tour of the place and showed me this cool shop that does spray paint tye dye t shirts with spiderman on them?? Why does this incredibly specific shop exist and how have i never heard of it before?? There was also a new harry potter shop next to the disney shop, and the old used book store i used to visit as a kid was still there, complete with rickety spiral staircase and ominous basement trap door. I'm still not brave enough to go down there, but apparantly its just the history books section so meh. Then we actually went to a fancy coffee shop and i had this brain freeze mango ice frappucchino thing! Im trying all the new foods!!
And i was TOO HIGH ON DECADENCE and made a RECKLESS CHOICE! i blame power gramp's amazing tattoos, they were totally whispering to me that i shoukd screw the rules and ride off into the sunset on a metaphorical harley davidsen of mental health
So i was like Hey Paul I Am Totally Fine Getting Home On My Own, and it was like i was floating off in the distance somewhere begging my body to not speaketh these words. But it ended up working out okay! The excitement of it all and the sense of accomplishmebt from getting there all okay allowed me to mostly not freak out as i spent the day in town and looked at some shops and stuff. Basic Living Skills: Completed! I chilled out in the library (tho i dont have a card yet, alas!) and visited like five comic and anime stores, and got lost but found a Pizza Hut and that was SO NOSTALGIC FOR MY CHILDHOOD and it didnt taste quite as good as i remembered but the waiter guy was super nice and had a similar shirt and it was All Good! Oh and i gave all my money to a homeless person and that's why i'm broke now. And i bought a plastic slug! I just saw it from across the room and was like OH NO I AM BEING MAGNETISED TOWARDS IT OH NO IT HAS ALREADY BEEN BOUGHT. I need to think of a name for this new friend!!
So yeh i got home okay and i felt really acconplished and that was the furthest trip away that i've taken in ages! Man my mental illness makes me feel pathetic, but it also brings ridiculously big joys from the smallest of silly acconplishys!
Oh and thank you so much to the people who sent me emails! It really helped so much to keep me from giving up during the first few days before i made a bit of progress and felt like i could really do this, yknow? Especially big thanks tp the friend who sent me that mysterious super happy song that they found on a mystery disc in a german market?? Im still not sure whether its in greek or hasidic jewish but it sounds AMAZING and i hope someday i can figure out the band so i can hear their other singles!
Ok this is bunni out! BIG HUGS FOR THE EVERYONE AAAA

What Do Republicans Believe About Taxes
New Post has been published on https://www.patriotsnet.com/what-do-republicans-believe-about-taxes/
What Do Republicans Believe About Taxes
Tumblr media
What Is A Republican
As you can see, the dictionary definition of a Republican is very brief. And since a Republican is simply defined as a member of the Republican party of the U.S. it is important to understand what the Republican Party stands for. To understand what a Republican is you have to understand the Republican Party. And that is what the rest of this article examines.
Views Of Stricter Environmental Laws Climate Change
On environmental issues, 65% of adults say that stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost, compared with 33% who say they cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.
A large majority of Democrats and Democratic leaners say stricter environmental laws are worth the cost, including 92% of liberal Democrats and 79% of conservative and moderate Democrats.
Republicans and Republican leaners are more likely to say stricter environmental laws cost jobs and hurt the economy than that they are worth the cost . However, there is a wide divide in views among Republicans by ideology. Two-thirds of conservative Republicans say stricter environmental laws hurt the economy. Views among moderate and liberal Republicans are nearly the reverse: 60% say stricter environmental laws are worth the cost.
Majorities across age groups and levels of educational attainment say stricter environmental laws are worth the cost. Adults younger than 30 and those with a postgraduate degree are among the most likely to say this.
As other surveys have found, there also continue to be wide partisan differences in opinions about climate change. Among the public overall, 52% say the Earth is getting warmer mostly because of human activity, while 17% say it is getting warmer mostly due to natural patterns in the environment. About two-in-ten say there is no solid evidence that the Earth is getting warmer, and 9% say they are not sure.
Gop Must Stop Believing In Magic
Im not making a plea for larger government just a plea for economic sanity. If Congress in its all-seeing wisdom wants to spend $700 billion on the military, billions of dollars on farm subsidies and so on, it must either raise enough money in taxes to pay for the programs it authorizes or reduce the size of government.
Instead, although Republicans controlled the White House, the Senate and the House from 2017 to 2019, they chose not to make any substantial cuts to government programs that would balance the revenue lost by their series of massive unfunded tax cuts.
Unquestioning and unsubstantiated belief in the magical power of tax cuts isnt a viable economic policy. The GOP is putting America on an unsustainable path that is disastrous both for its fiscal future and for the hopes of people trying to get ahead.

Corporations Will Bring Back Profits Stashed Overseas
Republicans did their best to include as many corporate giveaways as possible in their tax cut, but spun them as a benefit to the greater economy. Take repatriated earnings. American multinational corporations like to keep their overseas profits away from the IRS, and the Republican tax plan aimed to change this by offering companies a temporary tax holiday. Earnings kept overseas would be subject to a one-time tax at a very low rate that could be paid over the course of eight years. President Trump promised that this would produce a flood of repatriated earnings amounting to $4$5 trillionnearly twice the amount that corporations were actually storing overseas.
This was just another lie, one that no serious economist believed for a moment. And indeed, after a brief boom in repatriated earnings after the tax cut passed, there was a bust. Repatriations to date have amounted to only $840 billion above normal, and the total amount of repatriations in the last quarter of 2019 is only $60 billion higher than it was before the tax cut passed. The total will never come anywhere close to $4$5 trillion.
But maybe foreign investors responded more positively to the tax cut than domestic investors did? Nope. Foreign investment increased briefly but then plunged. Apparently they didnt take Republican promises any more seriously than Americans did.
  What Do Republicans Believe In
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do all Republicans believe the same things? Of course not. Rarely do members of a single political group agree on all issues. Even among Republicans, there are differences of opinion. As a group, they do not agree on every issue.
Some folks vote Republican because of fiscal concerns. Often, that trumps concerns they may have about social issues. Others are less interested in the fiscal position of the party. They vote they way they do because of religion. They believe Republicans are the party of morality. Some simply want less government. They believe only Republicans can solve the problem of big government. Republicans spend less . They lower taxes: some people vote for that alone.
However, the Republican Party does stand for certain things. So I’m answering with regard to the party as a whole. Call it a platform. Call them core beliefs. The vast majority of Republicans adhere to certain ideas.
So what do Republicans believe? Here are their basic tenets:
Republicans Can’t Handle The Truth About Taxes
Congressional Republicans are channeling one of my favorite political hacks, the late Massachusetts Congressman Jimmy Burke, who boasted he voted for spending bills, tax cuts and against any increase in the debt ceiling.
House and Senate Republicans voted against the COVID-stimulus bill and oppose the Biden infrastructure and tax measures. Yet, despite the votes, more than a few cite their support for popular provisions in each spending initiative, rail against deficits, and oppose tax increases.
Republicans complain the $2 trillion Biden initiative is full of stuff that really isn’t infrastructure. Sen. Roy BluntRoy Dean BluntA tale of two chambers: Trump’s power holds in House, wanes in Senate46 GOP senators warn they will not vote to raise debt ceiling says all that should be taken out and reduce the size to $600 billion.
The biggest, $400 billion over eight years, is to provide more personnel and resources for in-home care for the elderly or people with disabilities. We have a son with disabilities, and we can afford expensive good care; we have encountered many families who cannot. If you know anyone with a loved one with Alzheimer’s, you’ll look more kindly on this provision. Does Sen. Blunt believe this isn’t an urgent need?
But what really gets the conservative juices going is opposing the proposed tax increases; since the fall of the Berlin Wall, tax cuts have been the only glue that holds increasingly disparate Republicans together.
Poverty Must Solve Itself
Republicans believe that poor people are usually poor for a reason, be it laziness, choice or whatever. Unless we demand that people pull themselves up by the bootstraps and solve their own problems, people will not be motivated to do things. Therefore, the issue of poverty cannot be solved by the government. Charity should be the choice of individuals.
Gop Real Estate Owners Make Out Big
Besides the laws benefits to real estate pass-throughs, real estate in general was hugely favored by the tax law, allowing property exchanges to avoid taxation, the deduction of new capital expenses in just one year versus longer depreciation schedules, and an exemption from limits on interest deductions.
If you are a real estate developer, you never pay tax, said Ed Kleinbard, a former head of Congresss Joint Committee on Taxation.
Members of Congress own a lot of real estate. Public Integritys review of financial disclosures found that 29 of the 47 GOP members of the committees responsible for the tax bill hold interests in real estate, including small rental businesses, LLCs, and massive real estate investment trusts , which pay dividends to investors. The tax bill allows REIT investors to deduct 20 percent from their dividends for tax purposes.

Republicans Invented Progressive Income Taxes Will They Turn Left Again
Rendering of a red elephant in a spotlight representing the Republican Political Party in front of … the American Flag.

President Trumps sagging poll numbers have prompted some eager speculation about the future of the Republican Party.
If Trump loses, will the GOP rethink its political strategy? Recast its policy agenda? Or will it double down on both on Trumpism, whatever that might mean?
Whether Trump wins or loses in November wont settle these questions.
The future of the Republican Party belongs to him, Matthew Walther  in a recent analysis for The Week. His legacy arguments about its true value and how it should be understood, its relationship with previous right-wing insurgent movements such as the Tea Party will determine the course of the GOPs fortunes for the next decade.
Indeed, Trumps legacy will almost certainly endure for over a decade because its about more than just him. Trumpism is part of the Republican Partys broader historical evolution. It began to emerge long before Trump took his famous ride down the escalator in Trump Tower to announce his candidacy in 2015; it will persist long after he vacates the Oval Office, whether thats in January 2021 or January 2025.
American presidents even the transformational, disruptive ones exist as part of a process. They dont emerge from nowhere to upend and recast political institutions single-handedly. They channel and give expression to changes already underway in American society.
Inequality Poverty Divide Republicans More Than Democrats
Juliana Menasce Horowitz
In recent weeks, many political observers have described a rift between liberals and centrists in the Democratic Party over how to tackle poverty, income inequality, and broader issues of economic fairness. Some have framed the discussion around Elizabeth Warren vs. Hillary Clinton. Others have focused on between New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has proposed raising taxes on the rich to pay for a citywide prekindergarten program, and Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has vowed to lower taxes.
But a new Pew Research Center/USA TODAY survey suggests that, at least for the moment, the issue of how best to deal with poverty and income inequality and whether the government should address these issues at all divides Republicans and those who lean toward the Republican Party more than it does Democrats and leaners.
To be sure, majorities of 60% or more among Republicans and Democrats across the ideological spectrum agree that inequality is on the rise, and about 90% of liberal and centrist Democrats say the government should do something about it. But while a 61%-majority of moderate and liberal Republicans say the government should do something to reduce the gap between the rich and everyone else, 55% of conservative Republicans dont want the government to do much or anything at all about inequality.
Most Welfare Recipients Are Makers Not Takers
The first myth, that people who receive public benefits are takers rather than makers, is flatly untrue for the vast majority of working-age recipients.
Consider Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, formerly known as food stamps, which currently serve about 42 million Americans. At least one adult in more than half of SNAP-recipient households are working. And the average SNAP subsidy is $125 per month, or $1.40 per meal hardly enough to justify quitting a job.
As for Medicaid, nearly 80 percent of adults receiving Medicaid live in families where someone works, and more than half are working themselves.
In early December, House Speaker Paul Ryan said, We have a welfare system thats trapping people in poverty and effectively paying people not to work.
Not true. Welfare officially called Temporary Assistance to Needy Families has required work as a condition of eligibility since then-President Bill Clinton signed welfare reform into law in 1996. And the earned income tax credit, a tax credit for low- and moderate-income workers, by definition, supports only people who work.
Workers apply for public benefits because they need assistance to make ends meet. American workers are among the most productive in the world, but over the last 40 years the bottom half of income earners have seen no income growth. As a result, since 1973, worker productivity has grown almost six times faster than wages.

The Definition of a Republican: a member of the Republican party of the U.S.
The Economy Will Be Supercharged
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If an investment boom was the big lie that drove everything, the arguments made to the general public in support of the tax cut mostly revolved around a better-known metric: economic growth. The usual way of measuring this is by looking at gross domestic product, the sum of all goods and services produced in the United States. In the decade since the end of the Great Recession, GDP growth has averaged 2.3 percent per year.
Republicans claimed that the investment growth spurred by the tax cut would drive GDP growth higher. predicted growth rates of 3 to 4 percent. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin went with a more modest 2.9 percent. Trump himself told reporters at his Cabinet meeting that he was holding out for 6 percent growth. These projections were mostly just spun out of thin air.
So how did we do? Since the investment boom never materialized, its hardly a shock to learn that GDP growth didnt boom either. The growth rate increased modestly for two quarters and then dropped steadily. In the last quarter unaffected by the coronavirus crisis, it was barely above 2 percent. Not only didnt the tax cut usher in the growth that Republicans predicted, but growth rates started dropping soon after.
  History Of The Republican Party
The Republican Party came into existence just prior to the Civil War due to their long-time stance in favor of abolition of slavery. They were a small third-party who nominated John C. Freemont for President in 1856. In 1860 they became an established political party when their nominee Abraham Lincoln was elected as President of the United States. Lincolns Presidency throughout the war, including his policies to end slavery for good helped solidify the Republican Party as a major force in American politics. The elephant was chosen as their symbol in 1874 based on a cartoon in Harpers Weekly that depicted the new party as an elephant.
Energy Issues And The Environment
There have always been clashes between the parties on the issues of energy and the environment. Democrats believe in restricting drilling for oil or other avenues of fossil fuels to protect the environment while Republicans favor expanded drilling to produce more energy at a lower cost to consumers. Democrats will push and support with tax dollars alternative energy solutions while the Republicans favor allowing the market to decide which forms of energy are practical.
Majority Of Americans Say Government Has Responsibility To Ensure Health Coverage
A majority of the public says that the federal government has a responsibility to make sure that all Americans have health care coverage, while 41% say this is not the governments responsibility.
However, most of those who say the government does not have a responsibility to provide health coverage nonetheless favor continuing programs like Medicare and Medicaid. Roughly a third of the public holds this view. Just 6% say the government should not be involved in providing health insurance at all.
Among those who say it is the governments responsibility to make sure all Americans have health care coverage, there are differences over how to achieve this goal.
Overall, 30% of adults say government is responsible for ensuring that all Americans have health care coverage and that health insurance should be provided through a single national health insurance system run by the government. A similar share of the public thinks health care for all Americans is a government responsibility but supports providing health insurance through a mix of private companies and government programs.
Seven-in-ten Republicans and Republican leaners say it is not the governments responsibility to make sure all Americans have health insurance. Among Republicans, conservatives are much more likely than moderates and liberals to take this view. Still, just 12% of conservative Republicans say the government should not be involved in health care at all.
Crime And Capital Punishment
Republicans generally believe in harsher penalties when someone has committed a crime, including for selling illegal drugs. They also generally favor capital punishment and back a system with many layers to ensure the proper punishment has been meted out. Democrats are more progressive in their views, believing that crimes do not involve violence, such as selling drugs, should have lighter penalties and rehabilitation. They are also against capital punishment in any form.
Trump Keeps Pretending To Want To Tax The Rich
Trump as a candidate promised to raise taxes on the rich, and after taking office he again promised to raise taxes on the rich. Trump said he believed in raising taxes on the wealthy, including myself and later promised that his administrations tax reform would not benefit the wealthy at all.
None of this was true, of course instead he backed a plan from congressional Republicans for a large regressive tax cut. Once that was enacted, House Republicans began to queue up a program they called Tax Reform 2.0 that would be an even larger and only modestly less regressive tax cut. Trump, again aware that this is not popular, tried to make up a fake middle-class tax cut during the waning days of the midterms, but as soon as the election was over .
This is all nonsense, but its telling nonsense.
Even very dishonest politicians dont routinely pretend to hold the opposite of their partys position on key issues. Trump isnt out there pretending to champion abortion rights, clean energy, or humane treatment of refugees. Hes trying to muddy the waters on taxes because he knows the standard Republican position on tax policy is unpopular.
Yet this is rarely covered as a striking, daring, or even noteworthy stance.
Most Americans Favor Expanding Renewable Energy Sources But Divides Remain Over Expanding Offshore Drilling Nuclear Power
Most Americans favor expanding solar power or wind power , including strong majorities of both Republicans and Democrats. The public, however, is evenly divided over whether to expand nuclear power . Fewer than half of Americans support more offshore oil and gas drilling , hydraulic fracturing for oil and natural gas, known as fracking or coal mining .
These findings are broadly in line with previous Center surveys, which found strong majorities in favor of increasing solar or wind power and more mixed views about expanding other energy sources. Support for more nuclear power plants has inched up 6 percentage points since 2016 . Support for coal mining has declined from 41% to 35% in the same period.
Sizable majorities of both Republicans and Democrats including those who lean to each party favor more solar panel farms or wind turbine farms . More Republicans than Democrats support expanding nuclear power plants; support for nuclear power is stronger among conservative Republicans than among moderate or liberal Republicans .
Conservative Republicans also stand out as more inclined to support expansion of hydraulic fracturing for oil and gas as well as coal mining . By comparison, fewer than half of moderate or liberal Republicans favor expanding these energy sources .
Foreign Policy And National Defense
Republicans supported Woodrow Wilson‘s call for American entry into World War I in 1917, complaining only that he was too slow to go to war. Republicans in 1919 opposed his call for entry into the League of Nations. A majority supported the League with reservations; a minority opposed membership on any terms. Republicans sponsored world disarmament in the 1920s, and isolationism in the 1930s. Most Republicans staunchly opposed intervention in World War II until the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. By 1945, however, internationalists became dominant in the party which supported the Cold War policies such as the Truman Doctrine, the Marshall Plan, and NATO.
Americans Want To Tax The Rich
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Theres no polling on specific brackets or exactly who counts as rich that I can find, but surveys are very consistent that for some definition of rich the voters would like to see higher taxes:
The most recent poll on this I can find is an April 2018 Gallup survey which had 62 percent of respondents saying the wealthy do not pay their fair share in taxes, a number thats been consistently in the high 50s or low 60s in the 21st century.
Pew found in 2017 that said it was bothered a lot by the fact that rich people dont pay their fair share.
A 2017 CBS poll found that 56 percent of voters said wealthy people should pay higher taxes.
One person who gets this, incidentally, is President Donald Trump.
Political Positions Of The Republican Party
Republicanism in the United States
The platform of the Republican Party of the United States is generally based on American conservatism, contrasting with the modern liberalism of the Democratic Party. The positions of the Republican Party have evolved over time. Currently, the party’s fiscal conservatism includes support for lower taxes, free market, of corporations, and restrictions on labor unions. The party’s social conservatism includes support for gun rights and other traditional values, often with a foundation, including restrictions on abortion. In foreign policy, Republicans usually favor increased military spending and action. Other Republican positions include restrictions on immigration, opposition to drug legalization, and support for school choice.
Regulating The Economy Republican Style
The Republican Party is generally considered business-friendly and in favor of limited government regulation of the economy. This means favoring policies that put business interests ahead of environmental concerns, labor union interests, healthcare benefits and retirement benefits. Given this more pro-business bias, Republicans tend to receive support from business owners and capitalists, as opposed to support from labor.

Republican economic policies focus on what’s good for businesses and investors. Republicans say that prosperous companies will boost economic growth for everyone.
Republicans promote supply-side economics. That theory says reducing costs for business, trade, and investment is the best way to increase growth. Investors buy more companies or stocks. Banks increase business lending. Owners invest in their operations and hire workers. These workers spend their wages, driving both demand and economic growth.
Republicans define the American Dream as the right to pursue prosperity without government interference. That’s achieved by self-discipline, enterprise, saving, and investment by individuals. Warren Harding said, “Less government in business and more business in government.” Calvin Coolidge said, The chief business of the American people is business.
Here is a short list of the pros and cons of some Republican economic policies.
Compare And Contrast: How Do The Republican And Democratic Tax Plans Differ
Brown EdwardsLatest News
SEPTEMBER 29, 2020
With the presidential election only weeks away, many people are beginning to pay closer attention to each candidates positions on such issues as the COVID-19 pandemic, health care, the environment and taxes.
Among their many differences, President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden have widely divergent tax proposals. Their stances could have a major impact on the amount of taxes youll owe in the future. Heres an overview of each candidates tax proposals for both individuals and businesses.
Trumps tax proposals for individuals
The GOP-backed Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law in December 2017. It included a number of temporary federal tax cuts and breaks for individuals and families for 2018 through 2025. President Trump has indicated support for preserving tax reforms under the TCJA and possibly providing additional breaks for individuals and families.
The White House budget document for the governments 2021 fiscal year indicates support for extending these TCJA individual tax provisions beyond 2025:
The current federal income tax and estate tax regimes,
The expanded child and dependent tax credits ,
Increased standard deduction amounts ,
More favorable alternative minimum tax rules, and
Continued limitations on itemized deductions for home mortgage interest and state and local taxes .
Bidens tax proposals for individuals
Other elements of Bidens plan that would affect individual taxpayers include:

No wonder I’d been sick. I hadn’t eaten anything since then. I’m a girl who likes her meals, so it hadn’t been a weight-loss tactic. I’d just been too busy bumping from crisis to crisis. Go on the Sookie Stackhouse Narrow Avoidance of Death Diet! Run for your life, and miss meals, too! Exercise plus starvation. – Charlaine Harris • Overweight and obesity is the second leading cause of death, killing 300,000 people a year, There is not a miracle pill that will lead to weight loss. – Richard Carmona • Pay more attention to losing inches than losing pounds. – Jane Fonda • Perhaps by sharing my personal weight-loss journey on television, I can help others confront the truth and lies behind obesity. – Ruby Gettinger • Permanent weight loss doesn’t come with an on and off switch. However, be sure to keep it realistic to your own body type. This is a visual reminder of what the end result of your fitness and weight loss program will be, helping to keep you motivated. – Jackie Warner • Rather than strive to ‘lose weight,’ most people would be better off striving to lose only fat and to build or maintain muscle. – Mark Sisson • Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life. – Phil McGraw • Some people’s weight loss is impeded by an impaired thyroid. So I think it’s worth testing that at your next physical exam. If it’s off, sometimes, that can be caused by excess metals, such as mercury or cadmium. A qualified M.D. can help you cleanse your body of those. – Tony Robbins • Successful weight loss takes programming, not willpower. – Phil McGraw • Sudden total weight loss. – George Carlin • Thank you for calling the Weight Loss Hotline. At the beginning, it was easy to take off the weight with exercise and eating less but then you reach a point where 90 per cent of the weight loss is achieved purely through reducing your calorie intake. My goal was to lose four pounds per week. That worked well for the first few months but then things got tricky. – Matthew McConaughey • The most important thing I want to get across is that maintaining weight loss is just hard. It takes a dedication to exercise and eating right most of the time. I’m not saying I don’t enjoy the days that I’m not eating chocolate cake. But I do particularly like those days when I am eating chocolate cake. – Trisha Yearwood • The real pride, the real present, is your health and your longevity. My whole career, I have never done anything where competition was involved with weight loss. – Richard Simmons • The secret of losing weight is patience. – Jane Fonda • The surest way to identify those who won’t succeed at weight loss is that they tend to say things like “My goal is to lose ten pounds.” Weight targets often work in the short run. But if you need willpower to keep the weight off, you’re doomed in the long run. The only way to succeed in the long run is by using a system that bypasses your need for willpower. – Scott Adams • The usual justification for eating extra meals is that it keeps the metabolism “revved up” so that weight loss is easier. There is, however, very little hard evidence that supports this idea, and a fair amount that disputes it. – Andrew Weil • The weight loss has been a secondary change to the mental changes I have made. Weight loss does not fix problems; how you view yourself does. – Erin Willett • There is no lasting glory in rapid weight loss. – Mireille Guiliano • There’s a huge emotional component to weight loss. – Carnie Wilson • This country is so urbanized we think low-fat milk comes from cows on Nutri/System weight-loss plans. – P. J. O’Rourke • We compliment weight loss, monitor our appetites, and shrink ourselves to fit some kind of standard. I wish we could all be the size we actually are. One size doesn’t fit all because there are as many sizes as there are women. Let’s look closer at the size of our hearts, the width of our souls, and the length of our spirits. – Sark • We talk a lot on ‘Biggest Loser’ about how fitness is a natural antidepressant, how it burns off stress. What I like about running is that it gives me time alone. I’m always busy, with people at work, with my kids. I love getting out for a run by myself and just listening to my music. – Alison Sweeney • Weight loss after pregnancy is safe but requires attention and guidelines – Debbie Meyer • Weight loss does not make people happy. Or peaceful. Being thin does not address the emptiness that has no shape or weight or name. Even a wildly successful diet is a colossal failure because inside the new body is the same sinking heart. – Geneen Roth • Weight loss programs and health clubs have an ethical and legal obligation to adequately disclose details about program costs before customers sign a contract. They should also clearly explain how the program works and what is expected so that consumers can make an informed choice whether to join. – Bill Vaughan • We’ve got a recipe for disaster. It’s huge — this combination of body image issues and the drug’s weight loss appeal. – Robert Hughes • What some name well being, if bought by perpetual nervousness about weight loss plan, is not a lot better than tedious illness. – George D. Prentice • When followed correctly, the Dukan Diet is both a safe and effective method of weight loss. – Pierre Dukan • When food becomes the enemy, every time we lose the fight we not only gain weight, but lose our self-esteem as well. – Jane Fonda • When I hear health professionals suggesting that you shouldn’t worry about the balance of calories in versus calories out, but rather eat clean and follow your hunger instincts, well, I really just want to pinch their heads off. That’s like a millionaire suggesting that instead of worrying about that’s in your bank account, just listen to your shopping instincts and buy high-quality goods . . . weight loss is not magic. To a great extent, it’s accounting. – Chalene Johnson • When we lose twenty pounds… we may be losing the twenty best pounds we have! We may be losing the pounds that contain our genius, our humanity, our love and honesty. – Woody Allen • When weight loss becomes a goal in your life, eating right and exercising are just two pieces of the puzzle. Figuring out why you’ve put on the extra weight is the hardest part. – Ali Vincent • When you’re the spokeswoman for a weight-loss program, everything is witnessed. I have to sign an affidavit saying I cannot have any surgeries. – Kirstie Alley • While weight loss is important, what’s more important is the quality of food you put in your body – food is information that quickly changes your metabolism and genes. – Mark Hyman, M.D. • You can think of the Health Impact Fund as a mechanism that would keep the benefits and burdens of pharmaceutical innovation for the affluent roughly as they are while massively reducing the burdens presently imposed upon the poor. This sounds like magic. But it really works because the current system is not Pareto efficient. It’s a system that generates hundreds of billions of dollars in litigation costs and deadweight losses that HIF-registered medicines would sidestep. By avoiding these losses, the HIF reform can bring improvements all around – including for pharmaceutical innovators. – Thomas Pogge • You don’t need to worry any more or punish yourself about food. It is totally counterproducti ve to stress yourself out about weight loss because that same stress causes you to put weight on. – Marc David • You have to want weight-loss success so badly that no mountain, river, or ocean could keep you from reaching your goals. • A great mix of tips, tricks, and anecdotes, All is Forgiven, Move On has excellent ideas for your weight loss journey and for improving your life along the way! – Judith S. Beck • After a lifetime of losing and gaining weight, I get it. No matter how you slice it, weight loss comes down to the simple formula of calories in, calories out. – Valerie Bertinelli • Almost everything inside was filled with sugar, cheese, and weight-loss tips. – Adam Rex • Another good reducing exercise consists in placing both hands against the table edge and pushing back. – Robert Quillen • As far as dieting and weight loss go, diet and exercise actually works. Lots of running and healthy eating. – Emile Hirsch • As you experience success in applying kaizen to clear goals like weight loss or career advancement, remember to hold onto its essence: an optimistic belief in our potential for continuous improvement. – Robert D. Maurer
jQuery(document).ready(function($) var data = action: 'polyxgo_products_search', type: 'Product', keywords: 'Weight+Los', orderby: 'rand', order: 'DESC', template: '1', limit: '68', columns: '4', viewall:'Shop All', ; jQuery.post(spyr_params.ajaxurl,data, function(response) var obj = jQuery.parseJSON(response); jQuery('#thelovesof_weight-los').html(obj); jQuery('#thelovesof_weight-los img.swiper-lazy:not(.swiper-lazy-loaded)' ).each(function () var img = jQuery(this); img.attr("src",img.data('src')); img.addClass( 'swiper-lazy-loaded' ); img.removeAttr('data-src'); ); ); ); • Balanced, sensible nutrition: eat food, not too much, mostly plants, a healthy diet ala Michael Pollan, modern physical activity on a daily basis, modest weight loss – translated into a 58% reduction in the occurrence of diabetes. A clear indication of the power of lifestyle over health. The challenge now is the development of the community-based programs that will translate what we learned in the diabetes prevention program and put it to work in every town in America. – David Katz • Behind weight gain are the larger hurts and questions that have to be explored, probed, and understood before weight loss and maintenance is a possibility. It’s a bigger issue than just calories in, calories out. – Ali Vincent • Coconut oil contains the most concentrated natural source of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA) available. Substituting coconut oil for other vegetable oils in your diet will help promote weight loss. – Bruce Fife • Despite what many nutritionists have preached for years, rapid weight-loss diets can be healthy if done correctly and can work wonders on reducing pounds and inches in just days. – Mike Moreno • Dieting is long-haul. Many rapid weight loss programs actually only squeeze the water out of you. Just like a wet sponge. But a good dieter maintains his or her grip on that sponge, not letting it soak up water again. – Owen Jones • Dieting is the only game where you win when you lose! – Karl Lagerfeld • Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections. – Saint Francis de Sales • Don’t even wait until you’ve lost a pound. The minute you can push the plate away with food still on it, give yourself a pat on the back. – Tony Robbins • Every study on chocolate is pointing to the same conclusion: there is something in chocolate that is really good for us. That something is the raw cacao bean, the nut that all chocolate is made from. The cacao bean has always been and will always be Nature’s #1 weight loss and high-energy food. Cacao beans are probably the best kept secret in the entire history of food. – David Wolfe • Everything we’ve been taught about health, weight loss and aging is wrong. – Jorge Cruise • Fitness and proper nutrition truly go hand-in-hand. Focus on eating clean and filling your plate with veggies, fruits, whole grains and lean proteins. And, everyone hates to do it, but calorie counting is crucial to weight loss as well as maintaining a healthy physique. – Jillian Michaels • For both optimal health and weight loss, you must consume a diet with a high nutrient-per-calorie ratiothere are no shortcuts. – Joel Fuhrman • Frequently, visualization is the key to lose weight. Imagine yourself with your desired body, and work for it. At some point in the future, this wish will come true. – David Viscott • Here’s the secret to weight loss: It’s all about crowding out, not cutting out. – Kathy Freston • High protein diets make you sick in the long and short term. Expect kidney disease, heart disease and more strokes and cancer. Plus the weight loss is temporary because you can’t stay sick for long. Look at the creators of these diets – many are fat themselves. – John A. McDougall • I could not bounce back from my divorce – emotionally – I just could not bounce back. With any bad situations I’d experienced before – a bad game or my two previous divorces – I got over them. This time I just could not get out of the hole. The anxiety attacks were frequent and extensive. I had weight loss, which I’d never had before. I couldn’t stop crying. And if I wasn’t crying, I was angry, bitter, hateful and mean-spirited. I couldn’t sleep – couldn’t concentrate. It just got crazy. – Terry Bradshaw • I didn’t get excited by weight loss, and since I was already happy being fat, I couldn’t see the point of it all. I’m 6 ft. and weigh about 18 st. or 19 st., but weighing myself is not something I do with much pleasure. – Maeve Binchy • I didn’t start out about weight loss. I was very tired and my energy was low. This is my second go-around in love, so I want to make sure I’ll be around to enjoy it. – Niecy Nash • I found that people like rules, and I love to tell people what to do. It’s not rocket science when it comes to weight loss. It’s about eating a little less and moving a little bit more. – Bob Harper • I freak out if I go a little too long without being in the gym. For a long time it was all about getting the weight off because I was 240 pounds at my heaviest, and now I’m around 175, so the majority of that weight loss was due to diet and exercise. – Nick Carter • I have a theory that the best ads come from personal experience. Some of the good ones I have done have really come out of the real experience of my life, and somehow this has come over as true and valid and persuasive. People love to read stories. They like to know you as a real person who has your struggle, pain, success and failure, etc. One well-known example is Jared Fogle’s weight loss story which made millions of dollars for Subway. Start to collect your stories from today and use them in your ad campaigns. – David Ogilvy • I have gained and lost the same 10 pounds so many times over and over again my cellulite must have deja vu! – Jane Wagner • I have more energy to run after our four children. Weight loss and great skin were a bonus! – Niecy Nash • I thought a lot about how so many memoirs about fatness focus on weight loss; they don’t focus on living with weight in a world that is rather inhospitable to it. So I knew that was the idea that was going to be most interesting and most challenging, and I like to be challenged as a writer. – Roxane Gay • I used to define success as being able to produce any result you wanted, whether it was a relationship, weight-loss, being a millionaire, impacting the culture, changing society, whatever it might be, it might be homelessness, whatever, but lately I’ve realized that success is “fulfilling your soul’s purpose.” – Jack Canfield • I went on a diet, swore off drinking and heavy eating, and in fourteen days I had lost exactly two weeks. – Joe E. Lewis • If you believe that weight loss requires self-deprivation, Im going to teach you otherwise. – Robert Atkins • If you find you require willpower, you aren’t ready to lose weight. – Augusten Burroughs • If you keep on eating unhealthy food than no matter how many weight loss tips you follow, you are likely to retain weight and become obese. If only you start eating healthy food, you will be pleasantly surprised how easy it is to lose weight. – Subodh Gupta • If you’re going to solve a weight-loss problem – or smoking problem for that matter – you must address both the psychological and physiological. – Tony Robbins • If you’re not doing what is best for your body, you are the one who lose. – Julius Erving • I’m a girl who enjoys a great meal with great friends, so I’m not really that concerned about weight loss. – Jill Scott • I’m not against working out. It’s just not effective for weight loss. I like strength training to tone and firm the body so you look tight. But working out just makes you hungrier. – Jorge Cruise • I’m prouder of my weight loss than my Oscar! I hope it has inspired people. – Jennifer Hudson • Imagine a weight-loss program at the end of which, instead of better health, good looks, and hot romantic prospects, you die. Somalia had become just this kind of spa. – P. J. O’Rourke • In India, we kind of concentrate only on weight loss. I want to teach people that it is very important to be strong and fit, rather than just thin. – Bipasha Basu • In two decades I’ve lost a total of 789 pounds. I should be hanging from a charm bracelet. – Erma Bombeck • Instead it seems that business – like weight loss – is a subject wherein hope and fear inspire limitless gullibility. – Paul Krugman • It seems that researchers at Colorado University say wine may help people lose weight. It’s not the wine directly that causes the weight loss, it’s all the walking around you do trying to find your car. – Jay Leno • It suddenly hit me—it was nearly impossible to take good care of something I hated. I’d spent so long hating my body that I didn’t know how to respect and nurture myself or my body. By focusing so much on my exterior, I also robbed myself of the opportunity to feel good about myself and my body, simply because I didn’t meet a cultural standard of beauty that is obsessed with thinness. That created stress that interfered with my weight loss and with my own happiness. – Jessica Ortner • It’s easier to stay in shape if you never let yourself get out of shape in the first place. – Bill Loguidice • I’ve been on a diet for two weeks and all I’ve lost is two weeks. – Totie Fields • Keeping off a large weight loss is a phenomenon about as common in American medicine as an impoverished dermatologist. – Calvin Trillin • Little changes over time are the secret to long term weight loss success! – Chris Powell • My recipes aren’t geared towards women; my books are marketed towards women because women are the biggest market for weight loss, weight management and weight maintenance and for cooking. – Bethenny Frankel • My success has been something I’ve worked a long time at and it’s been a gradual process. I compare it to the idea of someone losing a lot of weight over a period of a few years. You don’t really notice the weight loss overall but if you compare photos from then and now there’s a big difference. – Ray William Johnson • My temptation is emotional, and resisting will further my needed weight loss and strengthen my character. Furthermore, nothing tastes as good as thin feels. – Stephen Covey • No, as it turns out, I really like being congratulated on my weight loss. I like it so much, it’s tragic. – Carrie Fisher • Not only weight loss surgery is unnecessary but also it deprives human being a normal life. People after surgery would never be able to enjoy their food ever for the rest of their life whether it is Christmas or they are on their holidays or their child birthday or any other festival. List of problems and complications after the weight loss surgery operation are endless as one may get additional problems such as Hernia, Internal Bleeding, Swelling of the skin around the wounds, etc. I wonder how many weight loss surgeons advice about weight loss surgery to their own family members. – Subodh Gupta • Oh. ""In California, how long does an auto insurance company have to respond to a claim?""
So i'm going on week 3 of dealing with another a car accident claim. A landscaping truck backed into my parked car a few weeks ago. I got the company's insurance info and reported it to my insurance the same day. A week later I hear back from my insurer telling me that the other persons insurance company was unable to reach the driver or the owner of the landscaping company for a statement and they could not accept liability until they receive a statement. In California, is there a limit on how much time an insurance company has to accept a claim? Luckily, the gas station where the accident happened was nice enough to give me the secularist film which makes this pretty cut and dry (should push come to shove). Thank you!""

Is car insurance somewhat ridiculous?
ok i may be a little ranting cuz i was at fault for causing my first accident a long time ago, so my rates would go up. this got me thinking, the car was under someone else in my family's name, and the basic idea ive come to question is: after decades of paying for insurance with no accidents, it would probably be more than enough to cover the car repair damages instead of paying for all those years in addition the first accident i got into causing the rates go up? so i mean, isn't car insurance somewhat like a scam since obviously theres not as many accidents as there are people driving without any incidents?""

Will my insurance cost raise up if I got hit and run?
Hello, couple days ago I've visited to my friend's house and parked the car properly close to the curb in the street, and as I came back I found my car hit badly all the way from rear tail-lights through all the way to the front part of the car(hood) which apparently caused lots of damage, which after I reported to my insurance company(my insurance company is FOREMOST) and took the car to a bodyshop, a few days later the estimator visited to bodyshop valued the damage worth of 8500$, so my question is` will my monthly bill raise up cause of this hit and run which obviously I'm not at fault at all?(note: we've two other cars under the same policy, so three cars in total), so IF my insurance bill will raise up, how much approx. it will raise? and WHEN?(will it raise right on my next bill or by the renewal time?) AND if it raise up too much can I just cancel this insurance(for the entire policy including the other 2 cars) and get another insurance for a decent price? thanks. some info: I'm from California, Los Angeles, this is first hit and run I've reported and my payments always been made properly so no a single late payment or anything, thanks.""

""Driver's license address, insurance address, etc. etc. discrepancies?""
Hi guys. Well, to start out with I have my driver's license address set to my uncle's house in pembroke pines, FL, but I live here in Hialeah Gardens, FL. Why do I have it set to my uncle's house you ask? Well, back when I was 18 (i'm 20 now) my mom persuaded me to set my insurance address (progressive) to my uncle's house so it would be cheaper. It's cheaper by like $100. Now, I'm scared I can be legally held liable or whatever if I get in a crash or whatever the case. I mean, I'm sure there has to be some type of deterrent or punishment so people don't do this kind of stuff like me. Another thing I'm worried about is when cops stop me. Since those two years I have only been stopped three times for minor infractions that did not go punished. Another thing is when I have to apply at jobs. Usually employers don't really care that on the application it says pembroke pines as long as I let them know I actually live close to them in hialeah gardens. I recently applied for my security officer D license and the problem is that in some companies I have to put the address that it says on my license like in any other job but, the problem is that they locate your post depending on were you live. If anyone can shoot me any information it would be more than appreciated, thanks!""

What should i expect in a auto accident and insurance settlement?
I was hit from behind on Wednesday evening heading to work. The driver was ticketed by the police and their insurance company has admitted full liability. Injury wise, I have whiplash which thankfully, is going away now. My car, according to their adjuster, is going to be claimed as totaled. So, my car is valued at 7400, and repairs just from visual inspection, are 7015. So they are going the totaled route as its cheaper for them. After they buy the car from me, they will sell it to salvage, expect to get 2k from it, and only be out 5400 instead of a full cost of repairs. So I've had the car for a year and half, taken out on a 5yr car loan. I still owe 12k on it. After they cut a check to the lean holder, I'm still responsible for 5k on that loan. The bank and my insurance at the time didn't offer gap insurance. Stupid of me, I let my current policy expire to search around for a more affordable policy. I kept procrastinating, and the accident happened with me having no insurance. Lucky he hit me and is at fault. I'm trying to see what my options are. I've gone to the liable company's website and see their basic plan for my state, law requires 25k in property liability for at fault accidents, plus medical etc. So I'm wondering what should I expect from the lady handling this claim. I'm not fooled when she called me yesterday and said that she is here to work with and for me. Saying that there is probably a lot of talk about lawyers, just know they will take 30-40% of you settlement. Know that I'm here to work for you, try to work with me I'm thinking my head total bull crap. 1, she works for her insurance company first, and will have their interest first, 2, she works for their client and to protect them from me in a suit. In the end, I'm not stuck with a car that they will not fully pay to have repaired, and will still owe 5k after they pay the loan holder the value of the car. My credit is damaged and getting a new loan is probably not going to happen easily. I really don't want to get a lawyer but I now have a car sitting in my driveway that I can't use plus a balance in the end. Anyone got some suggestions as to what I should realistically expect. The lady mentioned a liability settlement, repair settlement, medical expenses settlement, and personal injury settlement. I'm not out to make money on this as that just will not happen. But I have no car and will owe 5k still. I'm just like...f**k""
Driving with no insurance in Florida...?
I have a question about driving without insurance in the state of Florida. I am a 20 year old college student that cannot afford $483.00 a month in car insurance. If I cancel my insurance and drive without insurance and get in an accident that is the other persons fault, what is the worst that could happen to me? Can they sue me for all I have? If so, what if I have nothing besides the car that is on a loan for $17,000. -If they don't rip us off with the gas prices, they'll be certain to get us with the insurance.""
Can your health insurance company raise your rates after you get sick?
I've heard about pre-existing conditions and all, but what about getting seriously ill AFTER you have insurance? Let's say you're generally healthy, and already have heath insurance which you pay for yourself, at a reasonable rate. Then you get a long term illness, or get into a terrible accident, and need years of expensive care. Of course you keep your policy up to date... Can the company raise your rates by triple (or worse) if you get sick this way?""
""What is the average insurance to run a home day care in San Diego, Ca? What about on rented property?""
I know that opening a daycare on someone else's property is a liability, but possible. Is there extra insurance needed? Do you talk with your landlord prior to renting the property? My father owns an apartment complex, and he said 'No way Jose' if one of his tenants would come to him with this proposition. How much is the average home day care insurance in San Diego, Ca? Thanks!""
