so i finished rdr1!!! time to yap 😁

dutch is crazy ugly in this game 😭 but he's charming...in his own way...i love his strong country accent. it's like he became so wild over the years. it's kind of crazy to observe how they took that character, and crafted the rdr2 version of him. WELL DONE rockstar games!! i felt really sad when he fell off the cliff. it was just so tragic how he fell apart, especially if you play rdr2 first. im mourning a fictional gang 😭

also i read somewhere that in the epilogue, it says reyes (the annoying revolutionary from mexico) became a horrible dictator. I CALLED IT!!! it was kind of obvious and inevitable tho. he was lowkey highkey just like allende.

all in all, an extremely satisfying game, i loved all of it. what's seriously sad tho, is all the male members of the game (besides a couple) are dead. the whole gang is just gone...like it never existed... 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁

Keep in mind that reader is a child! They will not be the average y/n, she won't try and solve everyone's problems, and they're still learning and growing as a person! (That's what this whole fic is for-)

okokookookkokokokok these aren't all relevant to the Au per say, but this does apply to the plot and some of the lore for the fic.

im sure you saw the post- but I headcanon the skeles to be able to pop out their eyes. and at first it seemed random- but Papyrus has fucking eyes in the game (!?!) and so does sans, so why tf not?

Now a thing that I do not headcannon is their bones being able to pop out. I don't have any reason, I just don't like the idea of their limbs being Legos (but fsr eyes r ok?)

They do have amazing dance moves tho (Sans gets a lil zesty when he does the worm).

Everything in this universe is like a sitcom, and while predictable things happen, it's not in the usual way it would.

In this universe, pollution doesn't exist as much as it does in the real world. Give these guys a chance to see those beautiful ass stars.

Dynamics I'd Like to Explore:

Horror and reader.

I would love to explore that "Mama bear" dynamic that Horror could have without dumbing him down to just "hungry" "traumatized" and "comfort".

I want to show how being in a starvation crisis still affects him, while also wanting someone to take care of.

I think reader would appreciate a person who always makes sure that they eat, because they didn't have that as often in the program they were previously in.

I also really really really want to make Horror very disturbing and unapproachable, so it would make him and reader need their characters to develop for their relationship to actually bloom.

I also wanna see him do odd things, like grinding his teeth to a piercing shriek, or putting things in his skull to remember for later, and reader's reactions and approaches to them.

Sans/Papyrus and reader

Ah yes, they will be a joy to write.

Sans and reader's relationship will come from a place of mutual respect almost? While also blatantly disrespecting each other at the same time???

They dont really do much together, other than chill.

And in the small moments that they actually do things together, they don't actually talk much (in a serious way) at all.

Papyrus and reader start it off rocky a bit, because of the surface level reason for why she was adopted.

Papyrus tries to engage reader in activities that he likes, but every try leads to some kind of avoidance or lack of enthusiasm.

But after having a deep conversation with each other, they become the bestest of friends!

Payarus hypes up reader every chance he gets, and reader makes so many gifts for him that his ego just can't take it!

I feel like the three of them together would be so wholesome, whether it's Sans reading Papyrus and reader a bedtime story, or if they all go shopping together.

There's never a dull moment with these two!

Swapfell gold Sans and Papyrus

LET THEM BE WINE AUNT BESTIES PLESSSSS

LET THEM TALK SHIT ABOUT THEIR BROTHERS WHILE ABSOLUTELY LOVING THEM TO DEATH.

They always walk in the room stunning, Swapfell Sans won't ever let Paps walk in the room with rags while he's there.

Both of them enjoy those live-laugh-love type decorations at hobby lobby, and always decorate the house up like a doll.

They curse without actually cursing and it's so funny.

Sans and Papyrus

A lot of this is half-personal and half-out-of-spite-in-the-fandom-because-i-hate-the-way-they-are-sometimes-portrayed-in-fanfiction.

Papyrus calls Sans "lazy" in a lighthearted way instead of actually believing as such. He knows that Sans could do many things, but he won't do them because of his mental health.

I like to think that since Papyrus has such great control over his magic, he's very much patient as well when it comes to people.

Especially Sans, because he of all people needs it the most.

Sans loves his brother, but not to a possessive extent. Yes, he will kill anyone and everyone for the coolest guy on Earth, but not without reason.

They take care of each other as much as they can actually.

They also have more complications other than "just keeping secrets". It's actually communication as a whole.

Something that I will not explain because it's a headcannon and not my story yet👍

Red and Sans

I feel like they'd be assholes together. That's all I need.

They probably make card houses out of boredom, but with packs of condiments.

They hate each other at first, but neither of them want to fight so it's passive aggressive comments between the two.

Imagine two Loona's (helluva boss) in one room. One emotionally stumped and the other too laid-back to do anything about it.

Suddenly the hostility goes away and everyone else is confused.

Very nice.

Fresh and Reader

Okay I admit this one is purely crack.

I need them to go to Chuckie Cheese and make fun of two year olds when they lose a game.

I want them to attack Karens in the parking lot with possessed furbies.

I want Fresh to scare reader with an ominous statement about her soul and go back to living life free.

LOOK INTO MY EYES!!!

I want reader to believe he's not real and only a part of the fever dreams she has since the world changed.

I NEED FRESH TO PLAY ALONG BC HE THINKS ITS FUNNY

Dream and Nightmare.

Most of these headcannons are inspired/from Ano (@/signanothername). So if my brain is rotted no it's not.

Their relationship is...complicated.

At first, they sabotage each other for fun and competition.

But next thing you know! They're full blown fighting, throwing jabs at each other physically and verbally.

Most people like to think that the two fight each other because they represent and protect different and opposite emotions.

But they fight because they are mentally teenagers, who are SIBLINGS<

It's very tiring to experience and be apart of, because you never know what the two will do in a room alone.

Coming from experience, when I would want my sibling to feel something that I was trying to get through to them, I would say something that hurts. Like really bad.

Dream and Nightmare remind each other of their past mistakes with aggressive and ingenuine kindness when no one's looking.

While Dream isn't an asshole per say, he just has a hard time keeping himself in check around Nightmare. Other than that he's the kindest soul.

Nightmare is an asshole, but he doesn't make any move to "confront" Dream or make a meaningful conversation with him. He still has regrets and animosities from the past, but won't intentionally heal from that.

^^These all will contribute to main plot and subplot. Nothing will be completely resolved, but each relationship will be expressed with more realistic situations rather than "they feel this way because everyone else says so." (cough cough fandom cough cough)

Every other dynamic like Reader and Gaster, or Star/Bad Sanses will be explored as well- those are just the main ones I'm excited for. Of course, I cant fit them all in (because it'll just be run-on words with no actual plot), but I can try to give everyone a situation where they can interact with each other.

Unfortunately, Swapfell Gold won't be in this story at all- only Horrortale and Underfell and the usual multiverse deities. I may not be able to fit them in one fic, but I can make side content and my own fanart to satisfy myself. (WHY WONT MY BLORBOS FIT IN!!!)

Sans

Sans actually does sleep in my au, probably too much really. He uses it as a means of escape because it's hard for him to come to terms with "no more resets"

Frisk isn't the same anymore, and throughout the story he'll get more and more paranoid.

Sans will trip Gaster any chance that he's given.

I like to headcannon that Sans doesn't have an obsession with ketchup, and it's moreso "gasp! the ketchup guy!" type thing. I also like to believe that the only reason why he can drink so much ketchup like that is because of people's reactions.

Sans is a comedian at heart, so he will do/say most things that people consider outrageous; hence the ketchup thing.

I like to think that he only pursued physics because of his dad, rather than mathematics like he initially wanted to do.

Sans hates slime and the grease it leaves on his phalanges as well as the sound it gives off.

He'd probably bring ketchup popsicles to the function.

Papyrus

Imagine that he can 'port' as well, leaving Gaster the only one who cannot. He just doesn't do it because the "void" makes him uncomfortable.

You could call him the "emotionally intelligent one" despite him not understanding a goddamn thing. He's just good at solving problems with patience.

He can see how someone feels, but he won't use that to read the room and understand what to do and what not to do.

He doesn't understand some social rules, like "comparing yourself to others for competition" and "tips for a cup of coffee"

It's confusing he thinks. Which can also lead him to misreading someone's emotions.

If you open up his closet there's a trick wall in it. And behind it, there's a dart board with Gaster's face on it. He's still mad at him, but won't let it show as to keep the family as peaceful as possible.

Sometimes when he's out with Sans, Papyrus would grab him and hold him under his arm and just carry him like that.

He is actually a pretty decent cook. And Sans doesn't lie to him about that.

Gaster

He actually falls when Sans trips him. It's funny as hell.

Since we don't know much about Gaster, this personality is kind of all over the place.

As I've stated before, he is morally ambiguous, and is comfortable with justifying things that seem wrong to most people.

Like cutting holes in his hands to get children instead of getting a wife.

On the other hand, he finds most arguments that humans have tedious, annoying, and easily solvable.

Or testing on a subject's soul who's figured out how to reset time itself instead of asking various questions.

He probably takes the top off of muffins and puts them back in just to spite Sans.

He loves his sons, but doesn't have a way to show them without making them feel awkward.

Despite him being open minded on human affairs, he can be very closed-minded when it comes to new things like routine, emotional intelligence, and boundaries.

Reader

Reader believes that the only reason why she was adopted is because Sans wasn't okay. Like she was supposed to "fix" him in some way, and kind of resents Papyrus because of that.

She's just a kid! How are they gonna help a stinky blob of depression?

Otherwise, it's probably the best they've ever lived.

When there's chaos, reader will remind Sans how "good" they're being and expect a reward when it's over.

She stims by rubbing her knuckles vertically across the joint of her arm (like me, tehe), and picks at her hangnails when she's under stress (also like me).

Granted, she doesn't remember memories from when her parents were alive, but right now she feels like she's in a place where she belongs. Like people actually want them.

Reader grew up in a place where they were older than everyone else, so they were immediately dubbed "older sibling".

Despite the wholesome sentiment, the way those kids would treat her would be toxic, but a small part of her still misses them.

Cannot match clothes to save her life (she walks out the door looking horrendous AFTER Papyrus gave her an outfit-)

She's fine with it though, "No aesthetic can fit me anyway."

Okay I'm done y'all, sorry for putting you through that torture.

I don't think you guys understand how long I want this fanfiction to be. Like bro IM PLANNING CHAPTERS NOW. I know I was trashing on the "fandom", but do know that whatever opinion you have is fine with me. A “short” acnh guide to keeping resident services in the tent and still being able to terraform and waterscape the island!🌻✨

im saying short bc its probably not gonna be as detailed as watching a video, so i’ll link to two of those as well right here - by boiscrossing and ninatries on youtube.

you need 2 switches to do this and they both need to have acnh on them! also if you dont already have a full played-on island on one of the switches, this whole thing is gonna take an even longer time tbh bc thats kinda needed..

On the first switch that already has an island:

1. create a second character on your main switch island🍃 it has to be a second character btw it cant be the resident rep

2. upgrade that new character so they have a house(any size) and keep grinding for nookmiles!!! this part is kinda boring but honestly the more you do it the more you get to enjoy bc its mostly not gonna be an option on the new island..

3. get the terraforming and waterscaping, as well as anything else you might want from the nookmiles shop! you can also fill up your house/inventory with stuff bc you get to bring all that as well

4. when you are ready to move, go to the start menu and press the minus button(settings) and talk to tom nook, get ready to tell him you want to “move to a new island” and start the process

On the second switch with no island🏝️:

1. open up the start screen for a brand new island! instead of saying that you are new, you pick the option “i’m moving” when it becomes available, and then the game tells you in detail how to move on! and you can actually reroll islands, as long as the directions you get on the first island are over with👀

2. play the first day like you normally would on any new island, dont panic about nothing showing up, you gotta get to the “synched up with real time” place before you get all the things from your pockets and tom nook will tell you that they gotta rebuild your house or something lol i dont remember exactly but something like that

3. He gives you your little phone and thats all you need! You can get straight to filling up rivers and moving cliffs🎉

Now - how to keep resident services from upgrading? This is very easy! you just cant get anymore new villagers! sad but easy to remember! i mean maybe you could get one or even two out of the next 3 available(im not sure, i personally am just not gonna risk it) but you just cant finish that part of the early gameplay if you want the tent! you can get the shops and the museum tho if you want to! but yea otherwise its a 3 resident island(yourself included) so i would consider being very happy with the two starters you get🫶🏻⛺️

AFTER GAME THOUGHTS

HELLO. so yes i somehow managed to win the game. and honestly. the final boss was pretty fun and everyone was so cute at the end omg... but i still think that side order is a bit underdevloped.... i dont even know if ill try to %100 is cuz playing it makes me SO STRESSFUL im glad i get to finish a run BUT i will definetly not be touching side order atleast for a while.... but despite i had plenty of stuff i didnt like in side order the ending managed to make me forget all that haha

So if you’re really good at hiding that or naturally don’t show that kind of emotion, it’s gonna be a long while before anything happens

Likes that you aren’t so loud like Sean, finds you very peaceful

Not that he dislikes loud people, but it’s refreshing to see someone quiet like him just existing

He kind of assumes your romantic gestures to be platonic

I mean, passing something he asked for is just polite in most people’s eyes

But after a having you around for a while, he’d probably feel a little happier with you around

I think arthur would maybe hint at something, but doesn’t want to play matchmaker in case he screws it up

Charles isn’t dumb, so he picks up what Arthur is saying

But he kinda keeps an eye out on your behavior before actually saying or doing anything

He does notice you usually sit near or with him around the fire

Or how you listen to him talk when he does decide to speak

Little things like that

Might start conversations with you a bit more often

Or inviting you to hunt with him when foods low

Depending on how close/friendly you two are will definitely affect how quickly he “flirts” with you

His definition of flirting is simple compliments and helping you out

But if he were to get a bit tipsy, he may be a bit bolder with his compliements

If/when he finally realizes you do like him, i imagine he’d take you out of camp under the pretense of scouting the woods for any game

Hyping himself up internally so he doesn’t sound like a fool

Confesses in a kinda vague way

“I think we’re really good together, don’t you think?” Or “You mean a lot to me.”

He keeps on with his shenanigans until you either accept or shut it down

Relieved when you reciprocate

I think this is probably the best match for Charles

You both are similar in the aspect of quiet and calm

The only real downside is he’s a tiny bit dense as mentioned earlier

If something is bothering you and you don’t actively show it or voice it, he’ll probably just move on

It can be a point of contention

Same with Charles, he kinda keeps his problems to himself unless it concerns you or something important to him

This relationship (like most others) is likely something he wants to be his endgame

Of course he had his flings prior, but that wasn’t dating

He’s in it to win it buddy

Probably the best partner material out of the gang that actively participates in heists

FFXIV.

1. Playing with each others' fingers

it was nice to write wwi again... id planned for a complete conversion of nol and eli's story into this verse, but other hyperfixations got in the way and i forgot all my research for it (thankfully I have lots of notes). i liked how both of them are ridiculous here, and how nolanel is able to show both reason and disorder under an incompetent system.

2. Frightened

i think this was the strongest nol/eli writing this year. i had a lot of fun working out the correct verbs and balance during the fight. challenging nol w magic and garleans was also satisfying. i didnt get to participate much in nutley's extraordinary Tower rp plot, so im glad i could write this little bit of nol during endwalker. his silly convo w eli abt crushes is also set during that time.

3. Possessive Hand-Holding

This one is cute. I like culture shocking nol and eli with each other's communities, but i usually do that w nobility or penury, not making nolanel walk into a cruising district HGTHGTHHU

i have two more to write, but this is 200 words each (plus a couple bonus longer ones) of teredios in winter. i got to write some wwi au which kind of made me rly happy. i started to get used to the tiny frame as i continued throughout the month, and it rly enabled me to explore some ideas whether or not they fit in such a limit or not. i ended up liking each response in its own way, but i think 4. tinsel, 10 icicle, and 16. candles are my favs. i also need to give a big thank you to my friends for absolutely exploding my emails w comments. you make me so happy 😭😭😭

2. the waves now loose

tall ship brain rot finally indulged in.. it was fun to be back on the water after so long. getting to write invulnerable, young, spiteful dion after coming from my tired post-game dion was also great fun. it took me about 4 months to finish it and it began w this bullet point i cooked up while brainstorming lavendre's 2023 secret santa/No murmur against Fate.

even if this is canon-compliant tedi (the sanbreque navy is REAL OK🤡), i liked getting to establish some more of terence's refusal to accept the wider financial responsibility of knighthood bc that will be big in The Light I Hear ch3. talking abt the violence and tragedy of the ship is what i did best tho i think.

'terence writings words on dion's back w his finger' is a very old concept i had in my pocket for nol/eli which never had the right time. this fic has the longest and most explicit smut ive ever written (which isnt a lot lbr) and i think it finally kicked that bug out of my brain that liked writing it. which is also to say, idk how to reflect on it bc i feel neutral towards it rn. i have a lot of brainworms i need to wake up in 2025 to feel passionate again.

im not gonna put too much detail into this before i make myself upset. i didn't really meet any of my goals from last year. i did a lot of tellier research and made some astounding developments on that end, but not much else. i want to write more no matter what. i can feel the rust on myself every time i try to write, and when i look at my older writing and its beauty i get paralyzed by how i can no longer produce something like it right now.

i had a lot of good times last year too, though, and miku expo was probably the best day of my life. i also got to see kikuo, masashi hamauzu, nothing but thieves, and ffviir2 orchestra. we went to new york and i met karo and anew! i went to tellier's apmnt and found new poems! i made wyvern tails and gave a few out. i played a lot of disney dreamlight and made some decor im rly happy with. i plotted jillian's xmas gift for a while and she really liked it. i enjoyed the new dragon age game a lot. i bought some books im super thrilled to have. i got the sculpture arts aerith statue.

i need to build my stupid pc no matter what. i need to take care of myself. i need to let myself write instead of fearing my inability. im going to finish my degree next year. im scared about 2025, but it'll also be the year me and jillian get to see hachi. i really hope we can see hitorie at miku symphony.

hello!! its been a while since ive posted but here i am!!! so this game is Dead Plate created by STUDIO INVESTIGRAVE

i had played one of their games before, Elevator Hitch, and i really really enjoyed it! so im very excited for this new game that theyve released

though, this game is probably really different from Elevator Hitch, because that game was a visual novel type of game while this one has restaurant tycoon gameplay

still, im very excited

YEAGH. yeah ive got like. a whole series on my ao3 full of vent and comfort fics and ther r only 3 fics in there so far but literally all of them were based off real life stuff. my favourite one is probably my sanders sides one titled saint bernard and it's SO ooc but it's like. still pretty fucking good im ngl. i was fresh out of high school and coping with still being stuck in a shitty religious town that hated my very existence and that spawned!!!! that entire fic!!!!!! fucking irked the HELL out of me when someone decided to review it like a damn novel in my comments like no its literally just a vent fic!!! its not meant to be critiqued i just want to scream about being a small town queer kid shut the fuck up!!!!! i was very polite about it though. i shouldn't have been. anyway

29. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

OOOOO depends. i usually try to proofread it as i go kind of, like im not done the nhw bitb interlude but i have gone back and read what i've already written and edited a bunch of it already and i'll def have 2 edit the latter half more when i finish it. i try 2 read things over fully at least once when it's all done, but sometimes i'll read it over again before posting it. minimal proofreading bc i tend 2 proofread as i write yk

31. What fic meant the most to you to write?

oh man. there's so many. saint bernard was like. so fucking everything 2 me at the time. i wrote it all in the notes app on my phone and it was just a random ass au i thought up and decided 2 write because like. yk. gestures 2 my hometown. u don't even need 2 watch sanders sides 2 understand it u can read it without that so if u want 2 understand me intrinsically as a person i would highly recommend it. i am rather proud of it even tho my writing was. not the greatest at that time!!! also camp unus annus was v important 2 me. sanders sides at camp unus annus au!!! it's literally so silly and stupid and dumb but the last chapter is rly good. i think abt it every day. cringe is dead and i took it out back and shot it twice in the head khepristyle <3 ALSO BRUTAL. my thoughts on my first DE playthrough

I lowkey forgot to do this so ignore how long it’s been since I actually finished the game

Some disco elysium spoilers under the cut btw (also this is kind of long so I apologize in advance, I’m not very good at articulating my thoughts so I tend to ramble)

Okay so. Holy fuck

I have never had a game cause me so much physical anguish and distress in my life. The second hand embarrassment nearly killed me. It was incredible

i ended up doing a custom build for the skills, which was not a very intelligent idea on my part. I put a major emphasis on the psych skills and severely neglected the motor skills because I thought “hey they’re probably not that important”

news flash, they were very important, it was a major pain in the ass having the retry the same perception check a thousand times because of how low that skill was (although I was also failing it even when I had gotten it to like level eight or something so I think my luck is just ass)

I’ll admit I took a very vanilla route, ended up going Sorry Cop with a little bit of communism sprinkled in but not a lot.

I wanted to do a lot of the little side quests and tidbits that I’ve seen talked about for this game but I ended up getting distracted/overestimating how much time I had before things went to shit. This meant no dance scene, no pissfaggot jacket (although tbh I don’t even know where to find those guys. Nobody tell me tho, I want to save that for my next playthrough) and nothing about the pale (I am so confused about that btw and all of the fan content I’m consumed recently has given me no answers)

I did however end up getting a relatively good ending. I got to see the phasmid, Kim survived and he trusted me, I got him to join the precinct, bada bing bada boom I solved the case while stone cold sober.

I died only one time, and that was because I fucked up an authority check (I think it was authority at least) when talking to Titus and got so embarrassed that I had a heart attack.

it was definitely a learning the ropes run for me. Im mildly bothered by the fact that if I play again, I’ll already have a lot of stuff figured out so it won’t be as mentally stimulating, but hey, there’s over a million words in the game I’m sure I have some other stuff to look forward to.

this game also had me do a ton of self reflection lowkey. I’m not an alcoholic or anything like that, and it wasn’t the specific actions of any character. It was how I was playing

I am a major people pleaser, and this was clear in my gameplay. I never chose any options that felt like they might be a bit of a sensitive subject or make someone dislike me, regardless of who it was. This led to me not doing the deal with Evrart Claire to get my gun, which ultimately fucked me over pretty hard. I was stumbling over my words and terrified whenever I had to speak. This likely kept me from a lot of important dialogue and quests.

I also ended up sacrificing my own thoughts for what I thought the person I was with would approve of (not to an extreme, but I definitely said things that were intended to have me be likable versus actually further the case). This also definitely fucked me over.

I was really cautious and really scared the whole playthrough, and this ultimately hurt my progress. Issue is, this is how I am irl too (at least to an extent). I think seeing how stuff played out in front of me when I was too meek to make important choices made me realize that this probably isn’t doing me any favors in my personal life too. It certainly fucked with my head a lot. I had a special type of dread while playing this game that I usually reserve for my real life interactions with people I admire.

but yeah anyways this game is great. The art and music and voice acting are all incredible and it made me realize how fucked in the head I am. Yippeeeeee

but yeah next playthrough I’m not gonna give a fuck anymore, secondhand embarrassment be damned.
