Wilma (my FAV (i Used to be her biggest fan guys trust /hj))

Wilma Afton (more commonly known as Dr. W or Dr. W. Afton) was born on March, 1919. Her mother is Japanese whilst her father is American. Her voice claim is Pearl from Steven universe

Wilma grew up not showing much interest in other people/making friends. She preferred to study and do schoolwork instead of talking to others. She took a particular interest in science. This continues for most of her life, then she reaches Year 6 (Approx. 11-12 years old), where she meets Michael Stone.

Wilma starts having a rivalry with her fellow classmate Michael. They often debate about things and found a thrill on competing against each other. They constantly tried to show who was smarter than who.

As they grow up, they realise they had feelings for each other (took them long enough wth), and Michael confesses to Wilma when the two are in university (The two were approx. 18-22 years old and the year was approx. 1937-1941.)

Growing up back in the day, Wilma was often discriminated due to her gender. Her ideas were often pushed aside or stolen and credited to others. This obviously saddened her because she wanted to be recognised as a great mind in science, so having this happen to her truly broke her heart (my poor baby omg).

Wilma just wanted someone to listen to her ideas, and that's when she met Keppler.

Keppler is a government agent who was always on the lookout for unique minds. When she noticed Wil, she was very interested in her ideas and genuinely listened. She offered to sponsor Wil until she got her honours degrees, and you know very well there was no way Wilma would've said no.

Wilma and Keppler has a special mother-daughter bond. Wilma was sometimes viewed as Keppler's lap dog, and that was lowkey true (sorry Wil someone had to say it) because she would've done anything for her. (More detail here)

Unfortunately, in early 1942 Wilma (approx 23 years old) ended up being sent to a Japanese internment camp along with her mother. She didn't really participate in community things and just accepted that this was 'typical human paranoia.' The experience did end up contributing to her misanthropic (a general dislike/hate towards society) tendencies. She was still dating Michael, and he was quite worried about her (awww <3).

In mid 1942, Wilma (and her mother) were set free early after the mixed-marriage policy was implemented (check out Joy's og post for that (link here)). Since Wilma's father was white, she got away with leaving camp grounds early and went back to America.

1945 (the worlds cooked) was the year when Keppler offered Wilma (approx. 26) a job as the lead researcher for her new project (called The Trojan Horse Project) Wilma was obviously excited and very keen to start working on it. (If only she knew smh)

After a while, she did realise how dangerous the job was. Making human doppelgängers was not exactly the best job you could pick, but Wilma trusted that Keppler knew what she was doing, so she continues anyway. It was ending peoples lives and Keppler even got doppelgängers to kill Nathaniel Rudboys (Stephanie's father) due to him being against the project.

When the year was 1950 Wilma and Michael were 31. They were on their usual dates when Mike brings up getting married (like c'mon dude they were dating for almost 10 years atp and they were in their 30s). Wilma lies saying she's not ready, but she was just saying that to 'keep Mike safe.' She believed that if Michael knew about her job then Keppler would've threatened to kill him. She didn't need Michael knowing about her job (im genuinely curious how this woman has kept it secret for 10 years like c'mon Wil what's your secret to keeping your secret.). Michael then opens up, saying he knew about her job already (DAMNN PLOT TWISTTT), and then he proposes to her (oh if you want the full proposal story the link is here).

Wilma's only acquainted with the neighbours in the apartment and they don't know her actual name, they just call her Dr. W or something similar (more detail here)

The origins of my Mac and Davey Callander: their parents immigrated from Scotland when Mac was a wee toddler. Davey was later born in America. Mac had a completely normal childhood, went to school, and was well on his way to being just some guy when their father was killed in a wagon incident. He left school to look after Davey while their mother tried to find work. Being a woman, this was nearly impossible, and it wasn't long before their house knew the glow of a red lamp. A few months shy of Mac's 10th birthday, their mother also passed away (syphilis) and he was left orphaned and sole carer for a 4 year old Davey

Mac spent the next 3 years in a perpetual state of terror, selling what he could, stealing what he had to, chasing the pipe dream of giving Davey a normal life. Less than a year after their mom died, the landlord kicked them out. For Davey, their new life of camping out under the stars was another amazing adventure. Mac, in contrast, was so stressed his hair fell out in chunks and the only time he slept was when he collapsed.

Things got a lot easier after Mac decided to pick a handgun off a guy who passed out drunk at a bar. Originally, it was for safety, and then the occasional intimidation tactic in a hold-up, and then before they knew it Davey was 17 and they were committing their first bank robbery together.

They'd never run with the gang before the VDLs. It had only ever been the two of them, which showed in their uncanny ability to know what the other was thinking at all times: especially on a job. The only thing witnesses would report them saying to one another was Mac giving Davey a firm 'no' for seemingly no reason - every single time Davey had been thinking about doing something stupid, like firing his weapon just to scare the poor accidental hostages more. Or maybe killing the teller and just breaking their way into a vault instead of waiting.

Dutch was the one to recruit them, using bounty posters as a catalogue for potential new members. It was 1896: Mac had just turned 31, Davey 26 - and everyone except Dutch immediately hated them. It was obvious that Dutch wasn't looking for recruits, he was looking for replacements. John had run off and Arthur was bedridden with mourning having found Eliza and Isaac's graves. For Dutch to pick up two similarly aged, similarly talented gunslinging brothers felt like a punch to the gut: they were all replaceable.

But damnit, for outlaws, the Callanders were just too likeable for it to stick. When the awkwardness of having not interacted with anyone other than his brother for over 20 years was too much, Mac factory-defaulted to his polite Scottish Catholic upbringing. He was a brute, but always addressed the gang seniority as sir, or ma'am, and smacked his brother hard over the head reminding him to thank Pearson for the burnt, tasteless gruel.

Davey had the same appeal as the then even younger Sean Macguire: he was loud, he was energy, twitching to go and always the first to volunteer for a mission no matter how small the take was going to be. Unlike Sean, though, he had an off switch in the form of his brother. Davey was like a hunting dog with Mac holding the leash. But that energy was what the gang desperately needed that dark year, when half of them were considering taking off just so they could get a damned night's sleep with a colicky infant Jack around.

Davey loved an audience: being around a regular group of people was the best thing to happen to him. Javier learned English from Davey because Davey would constantly talk to him despite the fact Javier was lucky to pick up every third word. Not being the youngest anymore also inflated Davey's ego tenfold. Sean might have been 17-18, but the hero worship he had for Davey was obvious. They both had the gift of the gab and could talk to each other until they went hoarse, and Sean obviously picked up Davey's impulsive, reckless 'hit 'em hard and loud' mentality on a job.

On a job, it was like music. Mac was used to being the one making plans: he could pick bigger scores now that it wasn't just him and Davey. With a look Mac would send Davey to the back door, and when the sight of one lone gunman started to make people think they could fight back, Davey would burst in on queue to make them think twice. The VDLs that went with just learned where to slot themselves in like puzzle pieces coming together - and if the Callanders had made it to Horseshoe Overlook, they would've had enough money to make it Tahiti. The gang had never lived so comfortably before. The stew actually started to taste good.

Arthur's rage hearing about Mac's death was personal: Mac really was one of his besties in the gang. He might have hated working with him, because Mac wasn't the sort to take orders from anyone, but in camp, Mac was one of the few people he could talk to. They were a similar age, but what they really bonded over was that silent feeling of having the entire world on their shoulders. Arthur's entire adult life was dedicated to the gang, the same way Mac's entire life had been dedicated to keeping his brother safe. They could just sit quietly around the campfire and drink, until liquor loosened their lips enough to properly bond over how unfair their lives had been without ever actually complaining about the hand they'd been dealt.

Mac was the only member of the gang, outside of the OGs (Dutch, Hosea, John (and Abigail), Grimshaw and Tilly) that Arthur ever told about Isaac.

I was nominated by George Bush on Halloween of 2005, but I started serving on January 31, 2006

What was the nomination process like?

It was spooky because it was on Halloween. Haha. Just kidding. My nomination process was nice. Ummmm, the president nominated me and the Senate confirmed. I'm so happy because I won by not very much, 52-41. god bless America. My momma would have been upset if I lost. She calls me her baby boy. Ahhh, my momma. I love her.

How do you interpret the Constitution?

I would say I lean towards more right ideologies, meaning I interpret the Constitution in a more conservative way. I believe in individual liberty and minimal government. I would not identify as anything because I think Jesus and I think about him, and he wouldn't want me to identify as anything. So I don't. Not even as a republican. Because I don't want to be blue-haired and eat Taki chips and be bisexual.

What was a monumental case that you were part of? How did you rule on that case?

So I was involved with a lot of burgers. This particular court hearing was Atkins vs. Parker. Congress. Congress wanted to amend the Food Stamp Act to reduce eligibility from 20 to 18 percent. Following this change, the DPW  mailed a notice to food stamp residence that there will be a decrease in benefits. The people who received the notice filed a class action claiming it was inadequate. I ruled that the recipient's rights were not violated. 

What made you want to become a judge? 

I have always had admiration for the judicial system, and my decision to become a judge was shaped by my personal interest and desire to contribute to society. I love America. Can't you tell? I love America and my momma. My momma loves America. That's where I get it from. My mommy, who calls me baby boy. mamma

I was nominated by obamna in 2010 to replace a man named john, but i officially became a supreme court justice on august 7 2010

What was the nomination process like?

It was really intense, they gave me a br check, i had interviews, and hearings before the judiciary committee. I was confirmed by 63-37 votes. Im so happy and my papa so happy to. I love him. He call me his baby girl. I grill a lot while he does it. He calls me babygirl while i grill burgers. Almost like samuels cases where he was with a lot of burgers. So i love samuel adn samuel love me. haha.

How do you interpret the Constitution?

I interpret the const. Like the foundational document it is. We should consider and apply it like how its intended. 

What was a monumental case that you were part of? How did you rule on that case?’

I ruled on the case of obergefell vs. hodges. The court ruled same sex marriage was a constititutional right, i joined the majority opinion which stated that if we banned same sex marriage it would violate the 14th amendment. 

What made you want to become a judge? 

I love the law. I worked in government and saw the supreme court as somewhere i can contribute and help uphold the values of the constitution.

Right now I am writing the snarkiest and put-upon Fox I've ever done, as seen above. It's very fun. Also I made up a Corrie who is also well versed in snark and bold-faced audacity. It's so much fun.

I'm pretty proud of Oh Captain My Captain, because not only is it a long fic i actually finished but i think i managed to blend the elements of the Star Wars universe with the Captain America plot pretty well. And make everyone sad in the process lol

May we have a fandom history lesson on all the times Tony has either gone blonde or worn Steve’s outfit?

Has Steve ever seen Tony blonde?

What would he think? I know he likes Tony’s looks just fine but maybe Steve has a thing for blondes it turns out lol

I currently know of two times Tony has gone blond (three if you count What Ifs) and one time he's worn Steve's outfit (at least once more if you're willing to count Tony wearing a Cap t-shirt).

Tony wears Steve's outfit once, in IM v3 #33; he and Rumiko are going to a costume party and he dresses up as Captain America:

If you're willing to count Captain America shirts, we see Tony as a child wearing a Cap t-shirt in the style of Steve's uniform shirt in Avengers v8 #31:

That's all I know of off the top of my head.

Chronologically, the first time we see Tony go blond isn't 616; it's in a What If, specifically What If…? v1 #8; this is the 1989 series, because the previous series is named "What If?" with no ellipsis, so that is also "What If? v1" but that's not the same as "What If...? v1." I love comics numbering.

Anyway, this is "What If Iron Man Lost the Armor Wars?" and one of the things that happens in it is that Tony goes blond:

This issue is more famous in fandom for being the one where Justin Hammer makes Tony put on a mind-control collar, remove his armor, and walk around in his underwear for about half the issue.

You know, just your normal wholesome non-kinky villain requests. Right? Right.

As for 616...

Tony goes blond in the arc Manhunt (IM v3 #68); he is on the run from the law because, among other things, he has been framed for bombing an embassy, which he did not do.

Even though Steve is mentioned on this page, Steve does not appear at all in this arc.

The other time Tony goes blond is during Execute Program. He is on the run from the law for murdering a bunch of people (you may notice a theme here) and this time he did do it, although he was being mind-controlled, so he didn't do it of his own volition. Anyway, we see him dye his hair blond in IM v4 #10.

Tony's not really into this look, as you can see.

Steve does appear in Execute Program and he presumably does see Tony's dye job when Tony removes his helmet while Steve is fighting the Argonaut at the end of IM v4 #12, because they're both right there. However, Steve's being crushed by the Argonaut at the time so Steve doesn't really have anything to say about Tony's hair. But technically the answer to "has Steve ever seen Tony blond" is yes.

Tony then stops his own heart to stop the Argonaut and save Steve's life.

A couple pages later, canon establishes that after this point Tony has no pulse for 37 minutes. We don't see Steve on-page after this page where Tony stops his heart, but I feel like we can assume he's probably noticed Tony lying there dying and also probably has a lot of thoughts about Tony but at this point they are probably not about whether Tony is attractive.

As for whether Steve has a thing for blond(e)s -- I mean, his longest and most famous canonical relationship is with Sharon Carter, who is blonde. Sharon was canonically established as looking a whole lot like Peggy Carter, which is why Steve noticed Sharon in the first place -- so, yes, Peggy, his retconned wartime girlfriend who as far as I know he's never dated on-page, is also blonde. (In her recent appearances her hair is darker, presumably to be more like the MCU.)

Having said that, Steve hasn't exclusively dated blondes or anything -- he was engaged to Bernie Rosenthal, who is not blonde. It's not like Tony and the string of apparently-interchangeable redheads (Pepper, Bethany, Patsy) that Marvel likes to set him up with.

But, hey, if you want to say that Steve likes Tony when he's blond, I think that'd be reasonable; Steve is clearly willing to go for blondes generally, and he'd probably like the novelty of seeing Tony blond. Honestly I think seeing Tony clean-shaven is weirder than seeing Tony blond.

He remained content as a high pitched beep suddenly echoed through the room, repeating itself over and over.

A screen titled ‘North America’ continuously beeped and zoomed into the USA. Specifically to the west of the country. The title of the screen changed to ‘Oregon’ while a red dot flashed within the pixelated shape of the state. 

The screen flickered, flashes of electric snow covered the screen before returning to viewing oregon. Although where the dot once was, a red triangle had formed with the pixels. Said pixels almost vibrating as they struggled to remain. 

15:34 Hours

Just as the man at the desk snorted, and the magazine fell off his face. The triangle disappeared, the screen’s returned to normal and the beeping stopped. Leaving no trace of the previous anomaly

thank you!!! :^D its pretty new so its kind of underdeveloped but the main charas of the universe rn (and basically the only ones i have. like i said its new) are like

DRAGON INSTITUTE CONTEXT: unnamed officially as of right now but there is a thus-called Institute where several of the characters were born and raised as dragon riders. its very militarized and reminiscent of the irl (US) air force - riders are psychically bonded to their dragons from birth and use that link to communicate with them midair.

Farah "Spaceman" Al-Basri Glorymorn and her dragon Maiseylith - he's a Lockheed, built for high-altitude flights, hence the origin of the 'spaceman' callsign - are kind of the main pov characters of the universe? she's about 30-31, so a good handful of years younger than the other two i'm about to list, and hence she was in an age class underneath them in the institute and was around to learn about their short-lived War Hero Exploits and kind of revere/idolize both of them (well, not collar, but i'll get to that) as a result. since she is new i do not have an Entirely formed personality for her on the ground Yet but she's a bit of a smartass, kind enough but not very social/often the odd one out, is introduced as somewhat of an everyman, she's comparatively new to this whole active combat thing and wants to do good by her new boss:

Richas "Goldie" Auberon and his dragon [NOT NAMED YET FORGIVE ME] are the quintessential Golden Boy (hence the callsign) War Heros of the story at first. his moniker before i named him properly was 'heroguy' if that tells you anything about his narrative place. he's kind of a doomed-by-the-narrative servant of the war machine, but he does Eventually learn to be a better person. eventually. it takes a while. to the local public he's kind of a celebrity captain america type though. on the surface he's kind of the typical male video game protag emotionally constipated Man Guy archetype, but he's also just genuinely kind of a dick underneath it. he gets better though i promise. he used to have a vicious but one-sided childhood class rivalry with:

A. L. "Collar" Iscariot and her dragon Beowulf, deeply stoic and caustic, callsign named for the collar of scars around her neck - previous to the injuries she was called 'duck' because she cut it too close to the ground during training one too many times and they never let her live it down. farah is her "replacement", which is to say, farah is richas' right hand man, which is the place collar used to (bitterly and unwillingly; she did not like richas and did not want to be associated with him) have before she publicly deserted the Institute and left to, for her own reasons, follow:

Sinclair De Vautour and his dragon the Queen of Spades - a nighthawk, built for stealth: he was not raised in the institute, and bonded to QoS after he rescued her from a illegal trafficking/dragonfighting operation where she was in line for the ring. This was not an act of goodwill. He needed a weapon. (He did quickly grow to like QoS, though.) he is very much the Goth Evil Overlord kind of archetype: this is still in development but i think on paper he runs some kind of wide-scale company as a front for his operations; collar is his loyal second-in-command, there with him since (almost) the beginning. he is an orphan, though his dragonfire scars were given to him later on. he was forced to cannibalize his family to survive the event that killed them. he is generally very unforgiving and cruel. i would say he and collar almost have kind of a harrow/gideon dynamic going on if they were middle aged bitches instead of in their late teens and also were not in love with each other. and if gideon was a heartless cunt and 200x less goofy in nature. this makes no sense but you gotta trust me on it man

there is also "Lovelace", real name unknown, who is sinclair's... uh... side piece? literally do not know how else to explain it. he hired her under the guise of being his girltoy but she's actually there to do insane hacker work for him. whether they also have sex or not is irrelevant. she is wanted by the state government and has served significant time in prison for past cybercrimes. she does not have her own dragon but occasionally co-opts QoH by bribing her with food and/or baubles if she needs to go anywhere on dragonback.

like i said in there this verse is very new so there are a lot of missing or temporary details to all of this but i AM slowly chipping at it 👍 my time is currently being absorbed by namowrimo but ill get back in there eventually! dragon rider ocs are my passion 4ever
