synopsis ! : it wasn’t all that bad being a cheerleader for hawkins high, until people find our about your “freak” boyfriend eddie

“y/n get those fucking rings off your hands.” chirssy says, shooting you side eye. god, even if you’ve known her since freshman year, shes such a bitch to you. you’re currently in the locker room, waiting for your go to hit all your flips in front of all the already preforming cheerleaders. you peek up to the window of the locker room door, there he was. in his hellfire t-shirt. standing in the doorway of the gym. he’s told you numerous times that he only goes to these “dark side meetings” because of you. his princess. you’ve been a cheerleader here all of your four years. chrissy was one of your first friends on the team. you later met eddie while in the woods, eating. to be honest, it was a little weird to see him just roaming around aimlessly. but the two of you seemed to hit it off. which now ended in you twos 2 year relationship. eddie was known as a “freak” and “out of place” when to you, he was just different. in a very good way, you like to think.

you heard chrissy snap three times in a row, cueing to get into order. you were right behind chrissy, now skipping joyfully onto the gym floor. you hear an uproar of cheers, and your eyes settled on dustin and mike. you knew the two of them from eddie’s hellfire campaigns. you gave them a genuine smile, which they quickly returned, you continued your routine and you all hit your ending poses. jesus christ was that tiring. you all retired in front of the bleachers while watching the basketball players jog into the room. you peek in front of chrissy to see eddie — who was butting through the people of the front row, sitting right behind you. eddie would never want you to be in the same position he was social wise. being bullied and ridiculed on a daily basis. so after sitting behind you he surely didn’t want to make any physical contact towards you.

“bathroom?” you whisper- yelled, he nodded and the two of you headed to the bathroom. you were sure no one would be in there at this point in time.

“eds! i didn’t think you would watch!” you say, jumping into his arms and craning your head into his neck. “well, of course i would. only for my princess.” he says kissing your shoulder. eddie was so sweet, the sweetest in your terms. “eddie i’m so happy to see you! i’ve missed you for the longest. can you please come over after?” you ask, you and eddie now sitting along the dust-bunny covered floor. “well anythin’ for my princess! right after? we could go get milkshakes or a burger? is that okay?” eddie asks, unbeknownst to the junior basketball player outside of the door, waiting for it to be unlocked. hearing the end of the half-time bell, the two of you hurriedly run back into the gymnasium. “good luck, baby.” eddie says, kissing your forehead and shooing you away.

walking skipping back into the gym, you smiled and waved, you looked over to the basketball team, watching them stare and snicker. maybe this was just their teenage snarky behavior. they always made remarks about the cheerleaders bodies, you not excluded. you walk back into the locker room, gathering your pom-poms, you walked back behind chrissy, who was in a group with her closer friends. you turned around, seeing she was busy, and walked away.

“y/n? what the fuck! she can’t! not with him!” chrissy says. your head snaps up at the mention of your name. you pretend not to hear, fixing your earrings and highlighter in the mirror. you’re so close to tuning out what’s going on. until you heard the click-clack of cheerleading shoes on the tile floor.

“eddie, FUCKING, munson?! what the fuck?” your shoulders jump to your ears and your eyes widen. how did they find out? “what are you talking about?” acting dumb will throw them off. “you’re dating the fucking FREAK? i don’t understand y/n” chrissy starts, you’ve never seen her this angry. “you have everything. a beautiful home, perfect parents, who doesn’t insult you at every turn, and you choose to FUCK IT UP with eddie munson? you’re taking everything for granted just to be a whore. i’ll be sure to ruin your fucking life.” chrissy practically screeches into your ear, you’re now turned around and your staring blankly at her.

“ruin my life, i couldn’t care less. i have a boyfriend who’s trying his hardest for us, who doesn’t try and cheat on me with any whore he sees on the street, who doesn’t get bricked up by seeing tiffany just minding her own business. fuck you and this cliche shit you’re doing.” you then throw your pom poms on the floor and stomp on them, maintaining eye contact. it feels as if you and chrissy are the only ones in the room right now, all the other cheerleaders like mannequins. you walk out the door, not without one more ‘fuck you’. walking out, you scan for eddie in the crowd. you look for a little while until you see him talking with the rest of hellfire, them making your presence known to him, he waves you into the stands. you make your way through the bleachers and you plop onto his lap, sighing and leaning your head into his shoulder.

“what’s wrong? why aren’t you in the locker rooms?” eddie questions. “stuff happened..i’ll tell you when we get to your place.” “okay.” after almost another hour of watching the basketball team brick layups and airball, you all leave the gym, going into the parking lot. all the people are making you anxious. “whore” “slut” and so on. insults were thrown at you whenever the clique of basketball boys and cheerleaders passed you. finally making it to eddie’s van after making it after a treacherous journey, you get in and kick your shoes off, pulling them onto his seat, dents already in the seat after doing it so many times. “what’s wrong?” he asked, tears start to well in your eyes. you’d never imagine getting insulted for loving someone. “you know how we were in the bathroom?” eddie nods along with your story. “well i came back and they…they found out eddie! i have no idea how! chrissy told me she would ruin my life! i just wanna love you in peace.” you sob, hands on your knees with your face in your hands.

“oh god..baby please..it’s okay. those fuckers won’t mess with your okay? i swear.” he pulls you over the console and puts you on his lap, weaving his hand through your box braids. you’re so upset. these aren’t tears of sadness, they’re of rage and embarrassment. embarrassed that you couldn’t even be woman enough to stand up for what you love, embarrassed you just couldn’t get your last word out. “please eddie! i just can’t! this is so much! i just…just wanna love you, eds..” you sniffle.

“oh, sweetheart..it’s okay. no one’s gonna bother you, you’re not gonna be scared to go to school, you’ll be okay baby.” eddie soothes you, rubbing your back and kissing your forehead. “i…i love you eddie..” you whisper through broken sobs. “i love you more, doll.” after a little while, you crawl back into the passenger seat and eddie pulls out the now almost empty parking lot. sure it’s 8 p.m, but it’s never too late to get food! eddie pulls into the mcdonald’s drive-through, he rolls down his window and orders, you stirring in your sleep. eddie pulls into the paying window, noticing one of the hawkin’s high students as the cashier.

“the freak and his lil cheerleader, yeah? your total is $15.30” says the blonde haired boy. “mhm. lay off man.” eddie sighs. eddie hands the boy a $20, and he pulls of with $3.50. eddie makes it to his trailer with a final sigh of tiredness. he wakes you up and tells you he’s bought the two of you food. eddie picks you up bridal style with you holding the food. eddie inserts his key and walks into the trailer.

“you hungry, sweetheart?” eddie asks, kissing you on your forehead. “mhm.” you hum, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. “got you food, baby. here.” he hands you your meal and he proceeds to eat his own, occasionally sipping his hi-c. “thank you ed’.” you mumble, dusting your hands off and throwing your trash away in the empty mcdonald’s bag. you give eddie one last hug before you walk to his room and slide underneath his covers. eddie sighs amongst himself. he’s disappointed. not with you, of course not! but the fact he couldn’t save you from getting ridiculed like he does. he hates the fact he couldn’t stand up to those girls. he’s so embarrassed at the fact he couldn’t just keep the secret long enough for you two to graduate and leave hawkins in peace. eddie cleans up his trash, mumbling something about the dishes not being clean, throws away his trash and turns all the lights off before heading to his room. he opens his door to see you cats asleep. not a worry in the world.

“Hi I’m Alessia Russo.” Katie begins, Alessia laughing as she shakes her head.

“I’m y/n Williamson.” Alessia adds, causing y/n to glare.

“And I’m Katie Mccabe.” y/n says, a mock Irish accent in her voice which causes Alessia to giggle.

“Oi!” Katie says, leaning over to try and smack the younger girl but Alessia’s sharp light slap to Katie’s hand stops her.

“Ha!” y/n grins as Katie hisses like an angered cat.

“That’s not fair! She’s got her guard dog with her.” Katie jokes at the camera as Alessia rolls her eyes but she smiles none the less.

“Anyway…” y/n begins dragging out the ‘y’. “Today we are doing...” y/n begins. "What are we doing?" She then asks, causing the spectators to laugh.

The spectators in question were, Leah, Beth and Vivianne, all of who were sat happily on the sofa, watching the three on camera.

"Who knows who best." Katie says, Alessia rolling her eyes playfully when she realises they have been tricked into a couple's challenge for the youtube.

It was no secret the fans loved Alessia and y/n together, consistently finding their relationship adorable and loving the small amounts of content they were sometimes given.

"So, both Less here and baby Williamson, have whiteboards and they will be asked questions by me, of course, and have to write the answer down." Katie explains.

y/n holds up her whiteboard excitedly, her eyes sparkling as she grinned at the camera, missing the way her blonde lover smiled softly at her, eyes filled with soft love.

"Then, whoever gets the most right, wins." Katie says, she then picks up a card. "Right, what are Russo's two preferred positions?" Katie asks.

"Easy!" y/n grins as she begins to scribble across the board, Alessia chuckling as she does the same.

They two turn their boards around, Alessia smiling proudly at her girlfriend when she sees they have the same initials.

"Well done baby!" Alessia grins and y/n's cheeks flush at the term of endearment even after all their time together.

"Aw look at her!" Katie teases, leaning over to pinch y/n's cheek between her fingers, however the sharp hit which stops her makes her pout. "Again?" Katie whines at her fellow teammate.

y/n however grins at her protector, leaning over to peck her cheek sweetly, before glaring at her sister who fake gagged in disgust at the show of affection.

"Okay, movin' on." Katie hums. "What is y/n's favourite apparatus?" She asks before scoffing. "Even I know that!" She adds.

y/n smiles as she quickly writes her answer, Alessia doing the same as they count down from 3 before flipping their boards 'floor' both bright against the white.

"I knew that!" Beth says excitedly and y/n grins at her.

"I've always loved it, and found it so fun." y/n explains.

"Scares me half to death." Alessia denies as she remembers all the times she had watched her girlfriend jump and flip too high for her liking.

"It's my job Less." y/n defends with a laugh.

As the game continues it is clear the two girls know each other very well, both of them getting the other's question continuously correct until it was neck and neck and the last question.

"What is y/n's favourite beam dismount?" Katie asks.

Alessia pauses, shock in her face as she realises she doesn't know. Leah's mouth drops at the fact her sister's girlfriend doesn't know this and y/n looks mildly amused as she writes down.

"I don't know." Alessia admits. "I have no clue." She adds and Katie gasps as y/n turns her board around. Showing the g-valued dismount in black ink.

"Double tuck back salto with full twist." y/n says simply.

"Because you can land it every time." Alessia realises with a groan covering her face with her hands as Katie names y/n the winner.

As filming wraps up and y/n helps the crew put their things away, two lanky arms wrap around her waist and pull her into a corridor she didn't recognise.

"Can't believe you didn't know my dismount." y/n teases. "I mean, I love you so much, and know everything about you, but you don't even know my famous dismount." y/n continues.

Alessia whines, her lanky body pressing to the front of her girlfriend's as she buries her head in her lover's neck, causing her to have to bend quite a bit.

"Stop." Alessia huffs. "Its so many words to remember." She adds as y/n shakes her head.

"Don't love me." She teases as Alessia shuts her up with a chaste yet deep kiss.

The blonde striker's hands tighten around her waist, pulling her closer as her fingertips seemingly bruise into y/n's body from the strength of her grip.

The blonde angles her head down and left, giving her a better angle to press herself against her lover, her tongue pushing against y/n's slowly opening mouth.

After a moment of tongues clashing, the kiss slows Alessia's hands sliding up to gently cup y/n's face before keeping their lips pressed softly together for a moment more.

"Still think I don't love you?" Alessia asks, pulling away slowly, her teeth pulling y/n's bottom lip with her slightly.

y/n cannot function for a moment, the deep kiss sucking all the oxygen from her head and ability to breath from her body, the only thing in her mind being the smell of her girlfriend's perfume.

"I think you should do that once more, just so I'm sure you do." y/n smiles after regaining her ability to speak.

"Gladly, amore mio." Alessia murmurs, before moving her head back down to kiss her lover once more. After what felt like seconds, the two still pressed deeply together a shout ran out.

"MY EYES!"
