It would’ve been dead silent if it weren’t raining. We walk around the park in silence, an umbrella in their hand shielding us both from the crystal clear droplets.

As we continue walking, we see a bench to sit on. (Name) patiently waits for me to sit down before taking a seat. More silence. It’s even quieter now that the rain had began to stop.

“y/n..” they finally spoke up. This whole time they hadn’t spoken a word to me and nor did I.

“yeah?” I answer, hoping this wasn’t going where I thought it was.

“It looks pretty tonight doesn’t it?” they asked.

Though my head was down, I nod in agreement. I had become a fidgeting mess, my hands seemed to be inseparable.

(Name) takes a deep breath before letting out a sigh. “y/n..these last few weeks..” they stop to gather their thoughts.

“These last few weeks..” they start again. “In these last few weeks something has been off.” they look down.

“I can tell we’ve both been in denial, putting this off and not wanting it to be true but..” they go silent for a second.

I could feel the pain in my chest and the burning in my eyes start to build up. I keep it together, refusing to cry in the moment.

They take a quick look at me before looking forward once again. Not once did I look up to bring my eyes towards them.

“We’ve drifted apart.” they look up at the night sky trying to keep their own tears from falling.

“I know..” I reply. It was quiet once again. “I guess it’s really time to move on, hm?” I add on. (Name) nods. “Yeah..”

We both just sit there as the rain slowly starts to make an appearance again.

EPISODE 3 : ❛ FUCK MARK LEE (projecting) ❜

"I liked your set".

You don't exactly expect anyone important to say those words, so when you turn around and come face to face with your friend of a friend, you blink, trying to figure out exactly what is going on. "Ah, hi Jungwoo" You greet, a small smile coming to your face at the sight of the boy. The older also smiles, a certain excitement in his eyes. "Also— thank you".

"No problem! Seriously, the song was amazing".

"Ah, you're too nice" You reply, biting into your cheek as finally finishing packing up your stuff. "You guys did well too, you have an incredible voice" Your fellow drummer gives a small laugh, clearly a little flustered by your compliment. He clears his throat, shaking his head.

"Mark really enjoyed your set, too".

You pause, Mark? Mark enjoyed it? You question his choice of words, and why he would even bring up Mark in the first place, but he doesn't catch on to your ongoing internal battle, instead continuing;

"He told me to tell you!" Jungwoo yells, but he quickly retracts his statement. "Okay he didn't tell me to tell you, but he was being so idiotic about it and everyone else in the band also enjoyed it so it basically counts!"

His rapid explanation is enough to get a chuckle out of you, his way of doing it is cute, you'll give him that. "I see, well tell them I said thank you".

"Will do!" He responds, clasping his hands together. "So.."

"So?"

"Did you write the song?" You don't mind the constant interrogations, you like that he's interested in knowing about your work. When you nod, he gasps, interest peaked.

"Really? That's amazing! How come you didn't sing it though?"

"Dejun's voice fit the part more".

That has always been your go to answer for that question, you don't exactly enjoy telling anyone that you hate singing the songs you write about your titular Canadian ex, and you don't plan on admitting that to anyone anytime soon.

"Ah, understandable" Jungwoo presses his lips together in a thin line, observing you pack. "I can see why Mark likes you so much.."

"What?"

"What?" Jungwoo blinks naively, pretending as if he said absolutely nothing. You narrow your eyes at him, trying to figure out what exactly he muttered under his breath, but he just smiles at you, giving you a small pat on the back. "Nothing! Good set Yn, hope to see you another time!"

You raise a suspicious eyebrow at the older, who just walks away, totally giggling about something. Your thoughts race, that was just a little strange of an interaction, but Jungwoo has always been like that, he has no ill intentions at all, and you know that.

your hands began to shake as the red and blue clad hero landed in front of you, stopping you in your tracks. you gasped, not expecting to see spider-man. you had nearly given up on the chase, settling down on the rooftop of the daily bugle to clear your head. you were about to give up for the day, wondering if it had been too early for the hero to come out on patrol.

“um-uh hi! could i have a second of your time?” you asked timidly, feeling embarrassed by the question. usually when it came down to talking to strangers, you were a pro. journaling gave you that practice over the years, but this felt different. you were talking to someone who could hold a truck over his head and swung on webs around the city— very different from your usual clientele.

“yeah, of course. is there something you needed?” the man asked and you began to nod your head.

“me and my coworker are writing an article and it’s about spider-man. we were hoping to get an interview with you so that way new york can finally get to know its hero and how your intentions are only pure— at least i hope they are.” you nervously explained, your eyes darting between his masked face and the skyline behind him.

“where’s your partner?” spider-man asked and it was then you realized what people had been talking about with the accent. his ‘partner’ sounded like ‘partnah’ and you bit back a small smile.

“well, we split up to look for you. you’re all over manhattan and even sometimes out of manhattan so we decided that only one person needed to do the interview and we would both keep an eye out. it just seems that i found you first.” you replied, suddenly feeling more relaxed. the hero nodded, seeming to eye you up and down before speaking up again.

“what would you like to know?” he asked, causing you to grin and pull out your notebook.
