you opened your eyes and you were in your link bed you got up and headed for your bedroom only be stopped halfway “Where do you think your going?” you looked over to see your dad standing there looking at you his arms crossed, you looked at him confused “huh?” he walked up to you “tell me what happened when you seen lo’ak and allat”

you shrugged “just the usual i guess, there isn’t really much to talk about, other than some annoying girl who keeps clinging on him” you roll your eyes at the thought, your dad nodded “makes sense, but hey look at the bright side he’s trying to talk to you,” he said looking at you and placing his hand on your shoulder “and knowing my daughter, you won’t let him explain, so try letting him do that” he said with a smile and stalked back to the lab.

sure, Youd think its that easy you thought rolling your eyes you stalked to your bed tired from all the traveling and dealing with tisreya you crashed onto the bed, letting your body sink into it allowing sleep to fall over you.

"hey, you gotta wake up village life starts early" your mom said shaking you up you groaned looking up at her "whyyyy" she laughed at your figure turning around toward the wall "you wanted to do this, wake up" she said pulling the blankets off your body "fine im up" you stand up and walk to the bathroom and do your daily routine, then you head to the link room "my link ready yet?" you ask someone walking into the room "almost, its 99% online just a few more seconds" you nodded and opened the link before laying inside it "online" you closed the link and cleared your head.

you opened your eyes are seen you were back in the village you sighed and changed clothes once done you grabbed your music player and put a headphone in your ear "y/n?" you sighed quietly "whats up lo'ak" you say turning to him with a hand on your hip.

lo'ak look around nervously beofre walking you watching your eyes for your approval, you gave it to him and allowed him to step foot into your hut, "so, whatcha listening to" you laughed and gave him the other headphone.

"is pink + white by frank ocean, my mom has a bunch of him songs on here by him" you say smiling as you show scroll through the songs on the small device, lo'ak smiled at your face filled with joy as you scrolled through the music showing him, it made it happen that his interest of human music was him way of seeing you so relaxed and smiling when hes around.

"i wanted to talk you," he watched your eyes avert from the screen to him "about tisreya" you rolled your eyes ready to kick him out but remembered what your dad said you signed "tell me."

lo'ak was shocked by your answer "i dont want to be around her, i dont know where she got the idea of me wanting to mate with her from, if im honest ive been avoiding her, until my dad found out and was like 'you need to be nice to her, shes the cheifs daughter' y'know basic shit my dad says all the time."

you look at him in shock "really?" he nodded at you causing you to hug him "every change i try to see you, talk to you, everything that involves you shes there, it gets annoying" you laugh at him "youll be fine, if thats how you really feel ill be for baring around her, might even a bitch."

he laughed knowing he got his bestfriend back, the girl he has feelings for.

when the hug was over he switched the subject “you still listen to that one guy? uh what was his name,” he sat there thinking for you moment you waiting with a confused look plastered on your face “i don’t know, one of the parts he sings is, “sit down be humble” or some shit” you stare for a moment “OH kendrick lamar?” “yes that’s the guy” you smile “yea of course i do a lot.”

it was like for a few hours just talking about how he bonded with a tulkun who’s just like him an outcast and listening to music, until all that was interrupted by tisreya “lo’ak there you are, i’ve been looking for you what are you doing here? With her?” she said with disgust lo’ak looked at you then back at tisreya.

“listening to music with my bestfriend what else, you can clearly see me talking and having a headphone in my ear can you not?” lo’ak was angry with the way she addressed you with disgust.

before he could continue a meeting was called ronals soul sister was found dead her calf beside her, jake was trying to warn everyone about what was happening but that didn’t work until he stood up holding the device in the air, your eyes widened at the sight fear spreading throughout your body.

“tell the tulkun if they have this on them, there marked for death, please” jake made everyone silent and after awhile they reluctantly agreed.

you noticed lo’ak sneaking away from everyone and heading towards the ilu’s “lo’ak we’re are you going?” he stopped in his tracks “to warn him, no one will tell him, so i have to” you looked at him “lo’ak i’m sure he’ll be fi-“ “NO!” you flinched away from him.

lo’ak has never raised his voice at you, but it was different he sounded angry, angry at you for trying to stop him.

“he’s my family and my brother and someone who accepts me unlike you and neteyam and the rest of the omatikaya” he stared at your face for a moment his eyes widened at his words he tried to reach out to you but you slapped his hand away before it could come in contact.

“FINE!” you screamed as you turned your back to him so he didn’t see the tears in your eyes and walked away and headed to where kiri was with tuk, you grabbed an ilu you’ve been riding since your stay, you also learned to control your breathing as you rode close to them.

a annoyed look plastered on your face caused tuk to asked what happened which gained kiris attention, you told them what happened and how lo’ak treated you rudely.

kiri thought for a moment before responding “when we came here lo’ak got really comfortable here, he pretty much considers himself metkayina while me and neteyam don’t, we don’t want to be metkayina from birth we are omatikaya and will always be, lo’ak considers the tulkun to be his brother, and honestly more of a brother than neteyam,” she sighed “i just want to go home.”

you looked at her sadly, you didn’t know how to feel when she said lo’ak considered this place his home instead of the forest, it hurt you, you both had many memories there in the forest of pandora, you grew up there, you didn’t know you would be willing to leave the forest behind for the man you grew to love, it might be selfish but you would be leaving everything and everyone you knew.

unlike lo’ak who was seen as a na’vi with demon blood, you were seen as a human in a false body, not being accepted, not feeling welcomed, you felt like the metkayina and neytiri were right all along.

you were a alien, a demon never meant to join in the life of na’vi and maybe there were right, and with what lo’ak said to you, maybe you should just go back home and stay there.

I get really ahead of myself laying out hints and red herrings which I then forget about (Princess For A Year especially is the worst about this, I am so sorry for all of those hints about Sylen being a pretend Mandalorian I fucked up so bad with that one but I'm going to rewrite it eventually to bring back a bunch of my dropped subplots)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I enjoy it and do so regularly. Mando'a nuhur'shya ni ru'kar'tayli. And it makes my brain work in unexpected ways, it's like a puzzle trying to figure out the wacky ass baby's-first-conlang grammar that is Karen's creation (what the fuck kind of language doesn't have a passive voice)

Lux has a sugar "addiction" because he was never allowed to eat anything nice as a kid. So now that he's an adult he's just OBSESSED. To curb his cravings he chews gum (also because it keeps him from clenching his jaw.)

In a similar vein SOLDIER!Adriel cries when he eats food he's never had before. It's just an instant emotional reaction, it sometimes hits when Angeal makes something he's cried over already.

Digging deeper into the Final Fantasy wormhole, Sol has to do puzzles to keep his mind occupied or he starts spiraling into his identity issues. He doesn't like number puzzles and will refuse to do them, he prefers physical puzzles more. Especially the 3D ones.

What book are you currently reading?

Bouncing in between 'Beyond Suffering: Recounting War in Modern China', 'Britain and China: 1840-1970 Empire Finance and War', and 'An Epitome of the Reports of the Medical Officers to the Chinese Imperial Maritime Customs Service from 1871-1882' rn! First two are history books, second is a primary source recovered from 1884, they are about exactly what the titles say and so far all are very good and enjoyable <3 tho Britain and China has some... Interesting points sometimes (each chapter is by a diff author tbf)

All sorts of things loll but almost never pants u.u my 2 fav types are (generally) long flowing dresses and short little skirts/dresses with cropped sweaters! But I also like hanfu and hanyuansu too, and I have some jp/cn street fashion that I wear out, and some weird fits from Taobao. basically, I'll wear anything I find cute whether its fashionable or weird and I do get lots of comments, good ones and sometimes weird ones too LOL

I haven't made all that much this year tbh? It's not really a line but I realize I've repeated in several fics some sort of mention about how when Arthur gets truly started (talking) he'll never stop bc he kind of loves the sound of his own voice even though he'll never admit it, and I enjoy that, it makes me giggle fjkldgh I think Arthur having that dash off irritating arrogance is rlly the whipped cream on top of the pie. paired with how he's kind of plain and dislikes showing softness or weakness even while troubled (stiff upper lip... but also sometimes tsundere) and is kind of defensive and you can sort of see an old inferiority complex peek through even with all of his *everything* esp during the centuries past, ugh I could go on I genuinely love that character so much What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?

What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

School... I hoped to be on top of things but my Mental Health (tm) and physical health took over again : ( I resent being so weak tbh I want to be energetic but instead I'm just trapped here constantly sick and easily feverish and barely able to function. It really hurts.

What’s a hidden talent of yours?

Uhhh I don't think I hide any talents? I don't do many things outside of what I know ig. I'm classically trained in ballet, piano, violin, and flute, and can read basic Manchu, so I guess those are hidden. I also have hidden british etiquette knowledge that I never use bc my mom's mentor at work (shes a scientist) was an old Scottish gentleman and I went to his house a lot to play with his granddaughter and learned how to properly act and eat the old British dude way ig dunno if thats a talent tho

Are you religious?    

Not... actively, my parents don't practice so I never had much, and I was raised pretty nonreligiously. But I make sure I'm eating only Halal food and follow the same habits my mom (hui Muslim) follows and my grandparents are very devout so I guess it's like... someday I'll come home (to Islam) but I don't know when that will be... I guess. It's something personal I guess.

Hey, you Beaches <3 ;) It's Meenah answering this shit today. ♻️Would you go back to or repeat your Homestuck experience if you could? Why or why not? HAHAHA man, with how many times we had to do that shit? Nah. I mean. There was my session, the beta session, and the fucking secret third session, all of which I was conscious during in some way, shape or form. There were great times, don't get me wrong, action. Adventure. Piracy, Great powers, world domination, fucking around. But all my dancestor fronds are here. I get to sea them whenever I fuckin want. I miss parts of SBURB (I loved Derse So Fucking much, guys, AHH i miss it), I miss being a troll, and I miss the feeling of doing something cosmically important. But like...it was a huge pain in the bass too. I dunno if I'd wanna go back, not when other options are just as likely and frankly....batter(witch) over all.

🤝Who were your closest friends? Does canon get this right or wrong? Pretty much everyfin. Canon basically makes it sound like my crew all hated eachother's guts. Couldn't be further from the truth. Like, yeah, they could be annoying. Most people can be. But they were my fronds. I was really close with Aranea (obvs), which Canon gets right, even if it fucks it up near the end there. I was also close with Cronus and Porrim, and Rufioh (he was my moirail UwU). Like, to a degree, I was close with all the Dancestors, but I was probably the closest to them. Once we met the others, I got really close with Vriska (canon once again shows it and fucks it near the end), Karkat (<333333333 grumpy asshole, ilu), and the humans. (i liked harassing them >;3).

All my fuckin' money, beaches >8DDDD. Nah, just kiddin. Honestly , it was probably my bracelets. The spikes were actually made from shark teeth, and were my lusus on Beforus' . She let me take them when they grew out, and I made them into somefin I could wear so I could carry some of her with me. Before Sburb, it was probably my trident, but after my lusus died,I became reel attached to reminders of her.

4. how often are you on tumblr? Way too often lol. I check it many times a day, most of which are out of boredom :p

7. can you swim? I can! No, like, 'proper' styles or super well or anything, but I can swim! The last time was like 2 years ago tho and it's way harder than I remembered lol, I think it was easier when I was a kid and much lighter :p

8. have you had water today? uhhhhhh. I. can't recall. the last time I had just normal water. I've never really like the 'taste' of it, and still don't. p much the only time I drink it is if it's summer and I was exercising and am Super thirsty, in which case cold water is great. Otherwise I'm drinking something else, iced tea or juice primarily, I do still try and stay hydrated.

14. do you admire the clouds and color of the sky? Very much!!! Clouds are so pretty and there's so many variations, I absolutely love them. I'm admiring the clouds and/or sky at least once a day.

17. an earliest obsession you remember? Hmmm I mean I'd probably say Pokemon honestly. I had so much Pokemon merch as a kid (and still own much of it in storage boxes), and I'm p sure I had a Pokemon themed birthday one year (probably 2001? 'cause we went to see Pokemon: The Movie 3 in theatres, which would've made me 7).

22. do you have a collection of cool rocks? Heck yeah I do! Primarily ones I've bought from mineral shops. I used to also just have some cool river rocks I found, but I don't think I have any of them anymore.

24. what have you learned about yourself? Gosh this is such a broad question. I love bonding with friends over the same creative hobbies (cosplay, DnD, etc), I love fashion and eccentric clothes and shoes and heels now, especially after top surgery as I get to actually enjoy how they fit me! I'm a slut in theory but not in practice u.u I'm not 100% settled on a sexuality label, but I also don't have to be, sexuality and romantic orientation are fluid and also a spectrum. I have some poor behaviours I picked up from my parents that I'm not proud of. I've definitely improved some quite a bit, but I'm also still wary there's more that I haven't realized or had pointed out.

26. do you believe in aliens? I think the universe is far too unbelievably vast for other life to not exist out there. So in that sense, yes! Same goes for sentient life. But do I believe they've visited Earth, or even our solar system? Nada.

31. have you gotten bit by a dog? Depends on how you'd define 'bit' I suppose? There's only ever been one (or two?) cases in which it was enough to draw blood. Which was shortly after I got Rowan, and I was giving him a chicken treat before leaving for work, and I looked away and he snatched it out of my hand, and accidentally bit my pinky as well as the treat. He defs didn't mean to, and I wouldn't really consider it a bite, myself.

More philosophically though, just a beautiful nature view, a river or mountains or something, on a nice day that's not too hot. Beautiful scenery and relaxation.

44. do you collect anything? Yes!! The aforementioned rocks/minerals, and also feathers that I happen to find. And shed antlers that we've found out hunting (tho now that I don't go any more I haven't added to them in years), and some animal skulls and bones~ Oh and dice.
