I just learned something

As we all know, the health of our planet is a matter of growing concern, and it's up to us to take action and promote environmental awareness in our community. That's why I'm excited to announce the launch of my environmental awareness advocacy campaign.

This campaign is aimed at raising awareness about the importance of preserving and protecting our natural resources. It will also provide individuals in our community with the knowledge and skills they need to protect and improve the environment. Through a series of educational workshops, online learning platforms, community clean-up days, and recycling initiatives, we will engage individuals of all ages and backgrounds in our efforts to promote environmental awareness.

We have a series of initiatives that can help us achieve these goals that I have presented earlier, such which is: One, launch a learning platform about environmental awareness and education, let it be online or fate-to-face, as long as it teaches those who are still clueless about our situation and influence the others to help in saving the world: two, Organizing volunteering activities that help us make the environment a much greener and safer place.

We really thankful to be in this world, thus why we choose to protect and enhance it, thus the creation of this environmental awareness advocacy campaign, we strive for a better world, not only for us, but for our future generations as well. So that humans, animals, and all living things continue to live and thrive in a safe, clean, and beautiful world. By taking action and advocating for environmental awareness, we can make a real difference in our communities. Together, we can protect the natural beauty of our planet and ensure that future generations can enjoy the same clean air and water that we enjoy today. So, I encourage you to join me in this important campaign and be a part of the solution. Thank you.

As our world becomes increasingly urbanized and industrialized, the importance of trees often gets overlooked. However, trees provide numerous benefits and play an essential role in our planet's ecosystem. Therefore, it is crucial to recognize the significance of trees and take necessary actions to save them. One of the most critical reasons why we should save trees is their role in combating climate change. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen through photosynthesis, which helps to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Deforestation, on the other hand, releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and contributes to global warming. Therefore, it is essential to preserve existing trees and plant new ones. Apart from mitigating climate change, trees also have various other ecological benefits. Trees prevent soil erosion, filter water, and provide wildlife habitat. Trees also improve air quality by absorbing pollutants and producing oxygen. Trees are also beneficial in urban areas as they reduce the urban heat island effect by providing shade and cooling the environment.

How did I save water yesterday?

Yesterday I decided it was time to clean my fish tank since it was pretty dirty. When I had finished I had to get rid of the water, but instead of throwing away the murky water I poured it in my garden for the plants to drink. The fish's compost will also provide nutrients for them and the soil.

A new international study, led by the University of Adelaide and Deakin University, has found that the impact of both global warming and sea-level rise threatens the extinction of Komodo dragons, which already have restricted habitats, and this must be better incorporated into conservation strategies. “Climate change is likely to cause a sharp decline in the availability of habitat for Komodo dragons, severely reducing their abundance in a matter of decades,” says lead author Dr Alice Jones from the University of Adelaide’s School of Biological Sciences. The scientists' models predict local extinction on three of the five island habitats where Komodo dragons are found today. The Komodo dragon, Varanus komodoensis, is the world’s most iconic lizard species which has existed on Earth for more than a million years, but only an estimated 4000 individuals survive in the wild. They are endemic to five islands in southeast Indonesia: Komodo, Rinca, Nusa Kode and Gili Motang which are part of Komodo National Park, and Flores, the fifth and largest island which has three nature reserves. According to Dr Jones, current-day conservation strategies are not enough to avoid species decline in the face of climate change. This is because climate change would compound the negative effects of already small, isolated populations, he says. Over the years, various human activities have endangered the delicate balance of nature on planet earth. The global climate is changing, oceans are being polluted, and animal extinction rates are soaring. Given that we only have one planet, it is up to us to take action to save the world we live in before it's too late. To start with, curbing harmful human activities that contribute to global climate change must be a top priority. For example, reducing carbon emissions by using sustainable energy sources like solar, wind or hydropower. Farmers should also embrace better farming practices that promote soil conservation, using environmentally-friendly fertilizers and pesticides to prevent the release of greenhouse gases into the air. Furthermore, the protection of oceans is also essential. The world's oceans are facing an increase in pollution from various sources, including oil spills and plastic waste. Regulations should be enforced at an international level by governments worldwide, minimizing the dumping of plastics and other pollutants in the ocean.
