pride oc ask game! for mimiylmilirlilm. the boy. the blorb
3. How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?
9. Are there cultural or lore specific aspects to their identity? If applicable, does their species affect it?
7. Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?
20. Have your ocs helped you in self discovery? How?
Oh my god it's mutating...... the blorb.......
3. How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?
Okay so. Hm. It's a difficult question? Given there isn't exactly some sort of expectation for him to be straight and generally this world is pretty trans-accepting. Main thing here then is gender: it was more of an innate sense. I mean, you grow up genderless and you figure out what feels right for you, fairly simple concept. The unfortunate part was figuring out uh. Ouch. He is definitely not a woman. That doesn't turn out well for him. I mean hey! They're respectful of his identity! That's not the problem. The problem is they're drows.
9. Are there cultural or lore specific aspects to their identity? If applicable, does their species affect it?
...okay that's my bad on the last one YES BABY THERE IS. Being a (half) drow in a noble drow family his gender is extremely relevant. Unfortunately, man! If he'd been a woman life would have been a breeze for him, especially being blessborn (I'll explain that if someone asks but for now just know it's bonus points) he could have been a REAL threat to Keera's station as the older sister. Buuuut nope! Unfortunately he is stuck like that. He couldn't call himself a woman because at this point it would feel viscerally wrong. Conditioning runs deep and he doesn't control what gender he is.
7. Is there something that could cause your oc to question their identity? What?
Okay so I've actually played out a scenario that hit this. Being called matriarchal titles! The scenario in which it happened was fucking AWFUL mind you but I can pick out titles from the roleplay that were used ("ma'am," "oh great matriarch" (said with sarcasm but still), "m'lady") and oh man. He had to ask himself QUESTIONS after that. Does he feel like he wants to be a woman, or does he just crave the power he's been deprived of his whole life? I mean taking that role made him physically sick, but that was more because he was acting out how his mother would treat him towards another person. Nobody really feels right after acting like their abusive parent. Still. He has to sit and stew about it for a long while because what if the circumstances were different? What if he was a matriarch himself, independent of her? What if he was just a woman? What does it mean beyond the power dynamic he's been stuck in his whole life? I think he'd still settle on being a man but it would give him a fucking crisis.
20. Have your ocs helped you in self discovery? How?
........I mean I introjected him-

5) What is your PC’s idle animation?
If he's idle he doesn't move much but like video game idle animation sorta thing? Eyes darting side to side, then fixing his glove(s) and smoothing down his robes (and tugging his hood a bit further forward if it's up, which would be the two-glove variant of the animation)
6) What weather does your PC prefer? Why?
CLOUDY!!!!! CLOUDY!!! You grow up in a drow household and fucking EVERYTHING else looks too bright. Sunshine is eye-searing. Fuck that. He has darkvision. Leave him alone.
37) What flower represents your PC?
Visually? Black hyacinth. Symbolically? Echinacea.

LISTEN.i'll do it right htis time. ill also consdense each meme i use into a single ask For illymril ::) GOLD 4: Does your OC hold that some social groups have an inherent nobility unavailable to others? Do they perhaps believe in the idea of a "ruling class", with qualities that the lower orders could never hope to evince? Or, conversely, do they believe in the unsullied nobility of the poor, in contrast to the decadent and corrupt upper classes? SILVER 5: What is something that your OC would find incredibly hard to lie about? Even if they really wanted to do so...
COPPER 1: Does your OC believe that they are beautiful? Is their beauty, or lack of beauty, something to which they ever give much consideration?
(For context I gripped and shook my dear friend in private for sending me the asks without prompts. Ily CT you're so silly)
GOLD 4: Does your OC hold that some social groups have an inherent nobility unavailable to others? Do they perhaps believe in the idea of a "ruling class", with qualities that the lower orders could never hope to evince? Or, conversely, do they believe in the unsullied nobility of the poor, in contrast to the decadent and corrupt upper classes?
Neither really? But leaning the latter. Which is interesting, since he grew up as a part of the nobles! Aaand technically he once again is, right now. Well. Okay. He never wasn't well off, but as a man he doesn't have proper access to his family's money. (See context: drow nobles.) Anyway! He does see some inherent bitterness and coldness to nobles, he's been around them and experienced what they're like. Non-nobles just seem... well. Not more carefree, but more themselves? They're not hiding behind so many layers of masks and codes and just... They're just trying to survive. It's simpler. He spent ten years living among them and it was so much less stressful. Granted. That's the autism speaking mostly. ...and the trauma.
SILVER 5: What is something that your OC would find incredibly hard to lie about? Even if they really wanted to do so...
Oh god this is a tough one. He is conditioned to lie well. There is very little he can't lie convincingly about. (Depending on my FUCKING DICE LUCK but that's another matter. In a world where the dice don't exist he generally lies well.) Something he couldn't lie about even if he wanted to though? If someone asked him how he felt about his late spouse. Even if he tried to feign indifference, his front would still waver. Déaglán is a weak spot of his.
COPPER 1: Does your OC believe that they are beautiful? Is their beauty, or lack of beauty, something to which they ever give much consideration?
Oh yeah absolutely he knows he's beautiful. I mean if it weren't for the more depressing reasons he likely would have thought Déaglán was biased because they loved him. Déaglán definitely made sure to tell him, but he was her muse, so it was generally easy to see that they weren't lying. The real reason he still believes it? It's one of the few things his mother doesn't insult about him unless he doesn't present himself properly. He knows better than to not present himself properly. That and Keera (older sister) got SO much worse after he hit puberty. He started looking a little too pretty and her perception of how much of a threat he is got higher. As far as whether he takes his beauty into consideration? Only if he needs to. Granted, this need presents itself every time he's required to leave his room, given that he has standards he's held to, but outside of the manor, he generally tries to keep himself entirely covered. ...for different reasons than one might think, though.

oc language ask
3, How often does your OC swear? Is it something that punctuates their everday speech? Or is it so unusual to hear them use "bad" language that it would shock those around them?
8, Did your OC's parents or other caregivers use any specific terms of endearment for them as a child? Do (or would) they use similar terms for their own children?
16, Does your OC's body language sometimes give away what they might prefer to conceal? Or are they practiced at ensuring that their physical presentation matches their stated positions?
28, How easy does your OC find it to say "no"? Do they prefer to prevaricate? Is this out of courtesy? Or from a fear of rejection?
47, Does your OC find it easy to talk about sexual activities or bodily parts? Or can they only speak about them using twee euphemisms or obscure slang terms? Or can they not speak about them at all?
Momoents......... were you even awake when you sent this /silly
3, How often does your OC swear? Is it something that punctuates their everday speech? Or is it so unusual to hear them use "bad" language that it would shock those around them?
Only ever for emphasis, usually in extreme emotion. It's not a big gasp moment when he does, but it's not something he does very often. He keeps his composure.
8, Did your OC's parents or other caregivers use any specific terms of endearment for them as a child? Do (or would) they use similar terms for their own children?
Mother does not use terms of endearment. Father calls him "my little dark," in reference to him being touched by the god of dark, which the family worships. Nobody else speaks to Ilmyril all that much. I really don't think the servants and other concubines count as caregivers in this sense. They do not care for him. As far as Ilmyril calling his children any terms of endearment... uh. He's kinda terrified of having children. He does not feel equipped to handle raising anyone. He's self-aware enough to see how fucked up he is in the head.
16, Does your OC's body language sometimes give away what they might prefer to conceal? Or are they practiced at ensuring that their physical presentation matches their stated positions?
Oh honey the body language is part of the conditioning. Maintaining expressions and posture is part of being in a noble drow family, especially in the matriarch's court. If you can't mask in the manor you are FUCKED. Especially non-fems. They are in misery and they CANNOT be obvious about it. Gods forbid in public? He'd best look happy and healthy and like he isn't being mistreated in any way or else it's going to fuck up the family reputation. So the only things that usually get past his mask are when he's flustered. Even then he just falls back on his default response: FREEZE AND DO NOT MAKE ANY SORT OF EXPRESSION AT ALL. He's lowkey really awkward in normal social situations.
28, How easy does your OC find it to say "no"? Do they prefer to prevaricate? Is this out of courtesy? Or from a fear of rejection?
Oh yeah prevarication is his default, it's his middle fucking name. "No" is an ill-used part of his vocabulary unless it's the answer his mother wants to hear. The reason is out of fear, yes, but not of rejection. If he someone does cross his boundaries outside of the manor he has no problem pushing them away. In the manor? Well it had better be the answer they want to hear. Otherwise he'd best just take the pain and carry on with his day.
47, Does your OC find it easy to talk about sexual activities or bodily parts? Or can they only speak about them using twee euphemisms or obscure slang terms? Or can they not speak about them at all?
He's not particularly shy about it if the topic comes around, but he is secretive about his experiences and preferences unless he actually plans on engaging with someone in that way. He leans on implications, metaphors, euphemisms, but he won't shy away from honest vulgarity if it helps convey what he means better.

slightlyhlyhlyhlyhy obsucre dnd questions for lliynmryrillil
13: If they were a body of water, what would they be?
47: Do they consider themselves funny? How do they use humor?
51: What makes them a hypocrite?
13: If they were a body of water, what would they be?
Oh that's easy! A stream. Small, hardly all that influential, but still an agent of change, coming from larger bodies of water.
47: Do they consider themselves funny? How do they use humor?
Oh god. I don't think he considers himself funny really? He does consider himself clever enough to make a proper joke, as any good joke is just some sort of wordplay, but y'know. He doesn't spend a lot of time talking, much less trying to make anyone laugh. Being with the party is a strange upheaval of everything he's been used to. Most of his humor is extremely sarcastic at the moment, but given a safer environment he also likes to shoot for tasteful innuendo and general teasing.
51: What makes them a hypocrite?
Y'know, I thought this would be a difficult question to answer when I got to it, but the answer is actually really simple. He hesitates to trust anyone who seems like they're keeping secrets, but he holds ALL his cards close to his chest, even if they seem irrelevant. Knowledge is power, and he grants it with extreme caution.

dnd ask meme post:
What is your PC’s idle animation?
What weather does your PC prefer? Why?
So if your PC had a car what kind of car would it be
If your PC had to set up a date, what would they plan for it?
What’s your PCs favorite color
How does your PC feel about white lies?
How does your PC feel about marriage?
Where would your PCs fall on the futch scale?
What tarot would your PC be?
How would your PC answer the trolley problem?
When your PCs hit rock bottom, what do they do?
What’s your favorite part of playing your PC?
When your PCs make decisions, who or what are they making those decisions on behalf of?
Is your PC an effective communicator? What is their communication style?
If your PC was a dating option in a farming simulator (a la harvest moon or stardew valley), what kind of items would they like?
apologies for the many in each ask but each was individually chosen yes :)
Holy shit okay. Alright. Deep breath.
So if your PC had a car what kind of car would it be
Sigh. Tesla model Y. He did not get to choose the brand but he did get to choose the model. He never uses it for its full speed capacity but he loves using the cargo space he has for like. So much random shit.
If your PC had to set up a date, what would they plan for it?
Great question! He does not set up the dates and if he does they're never in public. Type of guy to say okay candlelight dinner at home. I cook. Bon appetit.
What’s your PCs favorite color
Blood, next question
How does your PC feel about white lies?
Oh that shit is like glitter to him. What's a harmless lie? He'll sprinkle it on for seasoning. For effects. If it helps him get away with something or cover something else? Lie.
How does your PC feel about marriage?
Cursed. He's not sure if he wants to marry again after what happened to his last marriage. He's still kinda hung up on their death right now.
Where would your PCs fall on the futch scale?
(The what. Google help. Okay I mean. He's. Not a lesbian so I don't think this applies. Also drow gender complicates this question a lot. He's a feminine man if left to his own devices.)
What tarot would your PC be?
(sigh) Gotta open the app. Okay so The Hermit. Regular or inverted. Which is kinda funny because his ass IS a hermit.
How would your PC answer the trolley problem?
In the values of Àn, his god, and their aspect of Life, he'd switch the tracks. Killing one person to save five is just the logical choice. From there on it HIGHLY depends what variables you introduce.
When your PCs hit rock bottom, what do they do?
Side eyes the coffee shop AU oneshot. Try and relive his happiest moment for eternity, apparently. Granted, that's if he has the power to do so. At the current moment? Hitting rock bottom would be losing his father and being stuck with his family for the rest of his life. In that case? Slaughter. He's painting that whole manor red. The only people he's sparing are the servants. Is it against his values to end lives? Yep. Does he have enough of an anchor to keep himself focused on values if he hits rock bottom? Haha. Haha! No!
What’s your favorite part of playing your PC?
Tormenting him <3 Putting him in situations <333
When your PCs make decisions, who or what are they making those decisions on behalf of?
Himself, mainly. If absolutely necessary it may also be on behalf of his family if he's acting in the public eye, but usually they control that sort of thing. He wants so badly to be free though. He hates being tied to them.
Is your PC an effective communicator? What is their communication style?
If he wants to be! Unfortunately he generally does not want to be. Most people he just does not trust enough to want to communicate with. The only time he communicates is if it's important or he needs to set a boundary. If his trust is earned he'll start opening up more but he's prone to lying both outright and by omission.
If your PC was a dating option in a farming simulator (a la harvest moon or stardew valley), what kind of items would they like?
Sigh. Books. Like. Any book he doesn't already have that has some sort of worthwhile information. Rocks are also cool but only the good and shiny ones. High rarity type rocks. You're safer with books.

silver 1: "Does your OC ever base their decisions on a "gut feeling"? Or do they always weigh up the pros and cons carefully and dispassionately?"
i have a more specific version of that question though: what circumstances WOULD they be pushed into making a feeling on a gut decision, or stopping to weigh pros and cons, when they otherwise would do the opposite?
silver 2: "How tactful is your OC? Are they able to frame criticism constructively and give feedback in a way that protects against potential hurt feelings? Or are they blunt, or even callous, in their attitude to the failings of others?"
lead 5: "How does your OC believe they will die? Peacefully in bed surrounded by friends and family? Or alone in the wilderness? Or fighting against overwhelming odds? Or perhaps they have a different notion altogether?"
lead 3: Which sin is your OC most likely to be accused of by others? Would this be fair criticism? Or are their actions often somewhat misunderstood?
gold 5: "If your OC could pass on a piece of wisdom to others starting out on a similar path to their own, what would it be and where does it come from?"
copper 4: " Of all the places your OC has seen, which do they consider the most beautiful?"
copper 1: "Does your OC believe that they are beautiful? Is their beauty, or lack of beauty, something to which they ever give much consideration?"
what is a way in which they are creative/artistic, that they dont consider a major skill or anything, but is just a little way in which they engage with the world artistically?
silver 1: "Does your OC ever base their decisions on a "gut feeling"? Or do they always weigh up the pros and cons carefully and dispassionately?" What circumstances WOULD they be pushed into making a feeling on a gut decision, or stopping to weigh pros and cons, when they otherwise would do the opposite?
Oh Ilmyril HATES having to trust his gut. Weighing pros and cons and careful consideration is what he will go for in every situation he has the time to do so. On that subject, that's usually what changes his tactics: time constraints. The faster he has to decide, the more he goes with his gut. It tends to lead him to safety, even if it means abandoning something he was aiming for. If he has to choose between the safety of others and his own, he will choose his own, on short notice. At least now that Déaglán and their family are gone, that is...
silver 2: "How tactful is your OC? Are they able to frame criticism constructively and give feedback in a way that protects against potential hurt feelings? Or are they blunt, or even callous, in their attitude to the failings of others?"
It depends who he's talking to and what he's addressing. Despite his upbringing, or maybe because of it, he tends toward tact to the point of walking on eggshells. To anyone outside the manor he's slightly less cautious, but he doesn't like stepping on toes. Then there's JM. ( @jinxreaper69 I'm talking about your boy 🫵) Ilmyril kinda tries with him, but oh my god. He's half ready to strangle that man. Besides. He doesn't think anything OTHER than absolute direct criticism would get to him. Even then he's tried and I think at some point he's gonna fall to insults. Whoops. Azrelle and Aeron seem like they're easier to get a point across to.
lead 5: "How does your OC believe they will die? Peacefully in bed surrounded by friends and family? Or alone in the wilderness? Or fighting against overwhelming odds? Or perhaps they have a different notion altogether?"
Before the beginning of the campaign and gaining the party and going out to do shit? Haha. Surrounded by family. 😁 Read between the lines in the other asks if you want to know the tone of that answer.
lead 3: Which sin is your OC most likely to be accused of by others? Would this be fair criticism? Or are their actions often somewhat misunderstood?
Hm... outwardly I think what he would be accused of... Pride, maybe. He can come off as a bit standoffish in general, and he at least somewhat knows his worth. I wouldn't say his pride reaches the point of hubris, though. The thing he's more likely to be guilty of is wrath, actually. He just has it so deeply bottled up that nobody will expect it when he explodes. He's generally composed and soft-spoken.
gold 5: "If your OC could pass on a piece of wisdom to others starting out on a similar path to their own, what would it be and where does it come from?"
Oh god. "Don't let them define you. Find yourself from within. Leave yourself room for forgiveness. Don't seek messages from the dead. Live for yourself." He's generally of a mind that the only thing that will remain at the end of everything, failing everything else, is yourself. No person or thing or place is dependable. (This is specifically current-day Ilmyril, as are all of my answers unless otherwise specified.)
copper 4: "Of all the places your OC has seen, which do they consider the most beautiful?"
Déaglán's campsite. It's really nothing special but the sentiment attached overrides any other place's aesthetic value to him.
What is a way in which they are creative/artistic, that they dont consider a major skill or anything, but is just a little way in which they engage with the world artistically?
This one's fun actually! His handwriting is really neat and pretty and small. Generally he keeps a notebook on hand at all times in case he has something he wants to remember.

15. "What is your OC's favourite or "go-to" swearword when under duress?"
16. "How easy does your OC find it to say "no"? Do they prefer to prevaricate? Is this out of courtesy? Or from a fear of rejection?"
47. "Does your OC find it easy to talk about sexual activities or bodily parts? Or can they only speak about them using twee euphemisms or obscure slang terms? Or can they not speak about them at all?"
1. "Is your OC a confident speaker? Do they find it easy to express themselves verbally? Or do they stutter or perhaps easily lose their train of thought?"
Haha. Well. When he chooses to speak, he usually speaks with a purpose. Oftentimes, if he's speaking, he's either been spoken to first or filtered through multiple iterations of what he's saying to find the perfect way to say it. If caught off guard he tends to stutter, but when he's nervous he tends to instead speak more clearly, short and clipped, same for when he's flustered. He definitely also stutters when he's flustered though. Everything else he's better at masking, but unless you keep pushing him, he speaks more slowly when he's angry. He doesn't tend to lose his train of thought because of the fact that he chooses exactly what he wants said and nothing more if he can help it.
12. "Are there any particular words that make your OC cringe? Is this due to negative associations? Or second-hand embarrassment? Do they try to conceal their dislike?"
Not many. "Fool" in particular strikes a nerve though. 😊 It is his mother's favorite insult for him. He can be subtle about it, but only if he hadn't already opened up before that. If not? You can see the moment he shuts down and locks off his expressions. His training falls into place like breathing.
15. "What is your OC's favourite or "go-to" swearword when under duress?"
A solid "fuck" or "shit" or a good "sweet shadows" for good measure.
(Last two already answered!)

7. How easily could your oc be convinced to go against their moral compass?
Well see that's complicated? His moral compass is to be devoted to his god and the teachings of his late spouse, both of whom are inherently true neutral. That and most of his late spouse's teachings were that of devotion to his god, so... This leads to... complicated dilemmas. He tries not to kill if he can, not because murder is wrong, or because it is illegal, but because Life is one of his god's aspects. This says nothing of how he keeps them alive. Sometimes it is more of a mercy to kill.
Now! How easy is it to make him go against his moral compass? His moral compass is a loose and unpredictable thing, that's the problem. Most of his personal values are based around his own survival and comfort. He hasn't had the space to consider anything or anyone else except maybe his father, who already seemed to have himself handled as much as you can in that household.
It depends! What are you trying to convince him to do? How beyond the values of his god is this task? Creativity, Trickery, Life, Arcana, Knowledge... You have a lot of room to run. Frame it properly and Ilmyril will justify a great many things. I think a hard limit of his is dealing any harm to children, or to a whole mass of people like a village, town, city. Especially given his past.
