I really thought that this octokitten I posted a few days ago would be the absolute goofiest thing I have ever made but I got the silly and so, BEHOLD!!!

OCTOKITTEN EARRING!!! Does this mean I have to make a second one now? Probably. But that's for future me to deal with.

I literally said while making that last octokitten that I would never make something that small again. However, I am not a man of my word and therefore proceeded to scale an octokitten down to be literally thumb sized. Here is it on my hand and next to a pin for reference:

Soooo small. Itty bitty. Teeny tiny. I made it out of scraps that I had hoarded which were otherwise (if I was a reasonable person) too small to be usable. This little guy isn't quite finished yet; I'm going to screw around with it a bit more and also need to decide on an eye colour. We're going on holiday again (with Mother this time) and I won't be able to work on it for like a week so I'm open to suggestions!!

This octokitten only took me 2 hours or so, which is pretty good considering all of my other ones have taken upwards of 10 hours to put together. My army grows steadfastly. Look at them!! The creatures <3

Just, like, ignore the fact that I have still failed to complete the embroidered octokitten despite starting and finishing two different projects in the time I've been working on it. I have five tentacles sewn together, and it is all laying set out on my bedside table, but the instant gratification of two quick projects was too much. It'll get done though. In the next month. Probably.
