Id be surprised if i DIDNT get better in 6 years tbf BUT STILL.#tried a new thang with the halftones in the first one i kind of like it #also put in a LOT more detail than i normally do/did. trying to do that more #ANYWAYS #doodles #art #fanart #my art #for both of them i rlly wanted to capture more emotion i feel like in my old art i really struggled to express anything #bcuz id spend so many hours refining that i eventually lost the fluidity of the og sketch. if that makes sense #so they feel very stiff and dont show any kind of personality #especially with the first one i wanted to show more abt how i think abt the character and not just. showing off her outfit or whatever #Overall very happy with how these 2 turned out. i might take my art tablet back with me to my dorm but idk if ill ever have time #and it mioght become a distraction WHATEVER I STILL HAVE LIKE 4 DAYS

Hi! So yes- I have this one…

Buuuut yknow looking back it’s really old and I have kinda changed up his design a bit- and it’s insanely long for a reference “sheet”-

So I made ANOTHERONE :D

And since I also need to give more of his lore, that will be below 👇 (And also responding to other asks I’ve gotten that relates to this)

1) So first off Swap was the one who was really wanted a child. He asked Dream about it, and Dream agreed.

2) Buut they didn’t reallly know how to-( I realized most of these guys are made accidentally lol ), but before going to ask for help they still tried to do it on their own.

3) They took a little bit of their magic, barely enough to affect them, literally pushed these two magical flames together and boom it made a green little flame!1!

4) and that’s literally all it was(for a while), just a green flame, didn’t have a face or anything and it seemed rather small. They left it to grow for about a month and it did grow a bit, developing into an imperfect soul. This soul was relatively smaller than the average monster’s soul, and a tiny part of it was chipped off. They didn’t worry too much, thinking it was still growing, but this was the stopping point for this soul, it didn’t grow anymore and showed no signs that this soul would be able to develop its own body.

5) Now both of them a bit worried, they went to Ink for help cause like who else would they go to- Ink doesn’t really know exactly how to make these guys either, but they all tried to think of ideas of what was the problem and how to fix it.

6) Ink came up with an idea to create a body for the soul to control and Swap and Dream agreed with his idea.

7) The idea worked and the end Swap and Dream got their baby!!!

And regarding these asks I’ve had- for a while—

I took so long because I didn’t know myself- I never really considered what he was like as a baby, but to answer these asks, Yes- for a short while he was a little light-flame thingy technically, but it was a bit different. Since Camellia really doesn’t have his own body, when he was just this little ball of magic he didn’t have a face or anything, it was literally just a ball of magic, then later this magic grew into a soul rather than a soulless being.

And then once he did get this body, it just somehow magically grows with him IDK-I didn’t know how to make this part really work-out so it’s just magic and imagination at this point x(

So yes- he was both technically a litol ball and a skele

Incapacitated by perfectionism yet again

#i have been drawing so much. agony. i will never be satisfied.#the things i draw get more and more complicated with the years. so it takes longer and longer to complete them. and it twists me up inside #that i cant make the lines fluid enough. the illustrations effortlessly chaotic. cant make the lines lined up enough.#cant fine the time or the composition to make scientific illustrations #i am not proportionate of anatomy but i dont make the time to correct that #not enough time. not enough time. not enough talent #i wretched and dragged myself into being ok at art and i will continue to drag myself into a future od being better #but its so frustrating to exist in the present #whatever. ill finish this stuff eventually #unrelated

MATILDA PRIME!!!!!!!!!

hi i definitely didn't forget to finish these so i could post them in a timely manner 😌

a bit about each of them under the cut :]

the thing they have in common is that instead of chaos energy causing the transformation from ant to mobian, it was the prism shards (which is why the eye colours are different)

maddie (new yoke)

she represents matilda's fighting side

a feisty member of the resistance who delights maybe a little too much in fighting

her closest friends are rebel and, shockingly, knux

they took her in after she escaped from the council post transformation

she's really intense, with less self control than matilda, she's always got a wild grin on her face in battle, and its a bit scary sometimes

her and knux started making bets on who can smash the most bots in a given fight

tilda

tilda is matilda's connection to nature and her origin as a little ant

she's just a little guy who lives in the woods with her ant friends

she transformed during thorn's rampage and got a bit of a beating before she really knew what was happening

she doesn't speak (she didn't learn how) and instead makes little noises she picked up from different critters

the little bugs and animals are her friends!!!!

sonic named her (he's not very creative)

there's a loneliness about her

tempest

tempest is matilda's revenge played completely seriously. she's on a mission and is not at all interested in fun

oh tempest.....by far the most different from matilda

a member of dread's old crew, she fought against the idea of him taking the shard, due to feeling connected to it

it didn't go well and left her with some scars

which sets her on a quest for revenge

tempest is matilda without much of matilda at all. she's focused, intense, and angry

I'll go into more detail eventually...but she ends up leaving her shatterspace with sonic, reluctantly working with him to ensure the safety of the shards

she interacts with shadow the most. it goes. very well
