god i feel like in the past month- maybe even just since pride month started idk- ive been seeing maybe more than ever before a lot of backlash and dismantling of discourses and opinions that have been the prevalent and widely unchallenged opinions and also bothering the shit out of me for years and im living for it. happy fricken pride month

#ive seen nudging over it for a while- maybe a yearish #the people i started following on twitter who have more of a mouthpiece def have been saying stuff for a while #but i feel like im seeing it more and more and its such a fucking relief #namely a lot of the really bad misandry-as-feminism (surprise! its transphobia) shit that was the inescapable default online- namely here #and people taking down a lot of bullshit that keeps trans dudes closeted #and the mythologizing of stonewall re: pride as a whole thats literally just unhelpful and reductive #and so much shit thats only lead to people creating further divisions and letting some people have unchecked superiority complexes #over others and just. the rampant recreation of classically homophobic rhetoric #ill admit i was hugely affected by anti kink propaganda on here for a while and ive come to regret it #so much of it is just repackaged homophobia and blatant transphobia and a lot of manipulation of baby queers and feminist language #also- ive been seeing more and more people (namely certain ppl i follow on twitter) pushing back against this binary vs nonbinary idea #and its so fucking true… people use binary to mean conformist and yes some trans people ARE conformists but dont paint w such a broad brush #like its offensive… im not more conformist to society and boring than some nonbinary person who works as a military weapon engineer lmfao #anyway im really on one lately lol its just always a fucking relief to see the tides turn the way youve been thinking for a while #and maybe theyve only turned on my slice of internet but the mental load off compared to how it felt before is good enough for me for now #it was so fucking exhausting before #aaaaanywayyyyyy
