The Campfire was a waste of time, if you ask Diego. It's just a bunch of campers either sulking that they lost or is trying to modestly flaunt their victory. The only reason he bothered to show up was because he apparently needs to get out more and staying in his room is 'anti-social'. "Okay. There's a fire and there's s'mores. There's even a few Apollo kids singing camping jingles. This is getting a little too sentimental for me and I want to go to sleep."

She loved to play Capture the Flag, having the opportunity to play with other demigods a few times during her life, even though she was never a camper. Cordelia was glad they had won, but somehow that match hardly seemed fair. A capture the Flag against the Hunters of Artemis?

But that wasn’t the source of her worries. The witch now aided Chiron on keeping the flames of the camptfire alive, but her mind was elsewhere. Why were they still there? She knew they were there to bring Abigail to safety, but to ask them to stay in a place for no apparent reason was very weird of Lady Artemis. There must have a reason. Maybe monsters were roaming around the camp? An attack? The old hunter couldn’t help but to be on edge, constantly watching her surroundings, ready to jump into a fight to protect the campers.

Her eyes were on the trees not far from them, but she turned as soon as she heard footsteps approaching her. It wasn’t loud, just the sound of leaves breaking, but she would be damned if she couldn’t notice that after 328 years as a hunter.

“Yes?” Cori asked while fixing her silver jacket, hoping her tone wasn’t too unfriendly.

Noah had probably had one of the most eventful Capture the Flag games in his time at camp so far. Not necessarily in a good way. His mind was still worrying about Odyssia, but he wouldn’t let that show of course. Instead he was celebrating his team’s victory, mingling with the other campers, congratulating and flirting left and right. After all, this was a party, wasn’t that what he was best at? He didn’t know who had been able to sneak beer into camp, but he threw away his second empty can, glad he had something to numb his senses and give him a distraction. For one night he just wanted to pretend to be normal.

He finally spotted the people he’d been subtly looking for this whole evening, sitting a few feet from the campfire, of course. He should’ve thought of that earlier. He grabs three new cans of beer, walking over to Livi and Quinn. “What’s up shitheads. I come bearing gifts.” he greets his friends, plopping down next to them.

Florence kept usually to herself, smiles were not necessarily rare, but the number of people she showed them to was very limited. Tonight, however, was different. Capture the Flag always got her blood rushing, especially when she was on the winning team. She’d done her part, casting spells left and right, which she was always eager to do anyways.

The campfire afterwards was all the more fun when you actually had something to celebrate. She’d made herself a crown, although one made of flowers. Now she was dancing on her own around the fire, in the midst of all the other celebrating campers. The bright smile plastered on her face as she moved through the crowd changed into an even brighter laugh as she bumped into someone else.

Campers, as Spring edges closer and the weather around camp begins to get a bit warmer, we have some news that I hope will excite you! Our first game of Capture the Flag since the beginning of Autumn will take place on 19th of March. Ensure that your teams are prepared, and await further instructions when the time gets closer.

This is intended to test your tactical skills in battle, as I’m sure you know, and we must ensure that both teams will be equally challenged. It is important for all demigods to know how to work as a team, as well as learn how to follow orders. As an added incentive to really ensure that you all work your hardest, the winning team will ensure that they don’t have to do any of their chores, apart from cabin tidying, for the rest of the week.

To celebrate the opening our RP, we will be holding our first event in a week’s time! This gives people time to “prepare”, and also the opportunity for new people to join before the event. Our first event is going to be something that happens regularly at Camp Half-Blood, and is going to be a regular occurrence in our roleplay. 

Our version of Capture the Flag is going to be a bit different to how it goes in the books and films, please see below the cut for rules, and for your teams!

I. This event will take place the week of the 19th of March, starting at 8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10. This will go on until the 23rd of March at 8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10. This gives you ample time to start threads and give them conclusions. Please ensure that you interact with people both on your team and on the other team, as it makes it a more authentic experience. 

II. Each day during the event at 8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10, the admins will post a riddle or question based on something to do with Greek mythology. The task for you is to discuss the riddle or question with your team mates and try to find out the answer, without using Google as your first resort. We’d really like you to try and use any existing knowledge of the mythology that you have, as that makes it more fun. The team who answers the question first will win the point, and at the end of the week, the team with the most points will win. We will post a maximum of two riddles during the day, if we feel that the first riddle was answered too quickly and didn’t challenge you enough.

III. During the event you can post about preparations for it, you can trash talk other players, and even post about different strategies that you may have as ideas. Just make sure that you have fun, and tag all event posts as #ilievent001.

IV. At the end of the event, we will be hosting a mini event, our very first Campfire! At the Campfire, you can discuss the events of the “day”, how you’re feeling, and anything else you may want to! This event will go on from the 23rd of March 8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10  to the 27th of March  8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10 . V. To celebrate the whole event, we will be launching our RP gossip blog! Aphrodite will be commentating on the events as it goes on, but she’ll also be taking questions to answer on things not related to the event. Her link will be posted at the start of the event.

After a long hard day of combat training in the woods, we all need a bit of down time afterwards. What better place to relax and enjoy time with your friends than at the Campfire? With it’s warmth and multi-coloured light, Camp Half-Blood’s Nightly Campfire is the favourite of many campers, where joyful songs are shared, friendships are forged, and the bonds between siblings are strengthened. As the time passes on, all the weary campers find their problems melt away, with s’mores and a bit of ambrosia for the pain. 

Welcome to our very first Campfire event! These mini events, along with the Capture the Flag, will take place periodically. Below the cut is all the details you need!

I. When will this take place? The event will take place starting on the 23rd of March 8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10 to the 27th of March 8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10, which gives you ample time to start threads and make conclusions to them. Please ensure to interact with everyone, not just your character’s siblings. The Campfires are about unity, and enjoying the presence of others.

II. How will it work? During the event, all threads are to take place over one evening, the evening following the game of Capture the Flag during the previous event. These threads can be about anything, but should preferably be about certain interactions that took place during the span of the game, and how you character feels about the events of the week.

III. Tag. During the event, please tag all starters and threads with the tag #iliminievent001. This is to make sure that it’s all organised and no starters go unnoticed.
