Started downloading Ikerev. You know what that means!

My first impressions of the characters based on the downloading screen profiles!

Noticeably there are less profiles here than other Ikemen games I've played

Ray Blackwell:

Nothing stands out about his appearance, at least with this image. He doesn't look/seem like a king, but for all I know 'king' might mean something else here.

Fenrir Godspeed:

This one looks more interesting 👀 I feel like I have a good sense of his personality just by looking at him. He seems fun

Lancelot Kingsley:

"I am not immune to pretty blond men with blue eyes and sad faces."

I am currently most attracted to him, but that might just be because he reminds me of Elbert (ikevil). We'll just have to see if I like his personality

Jonah Clemence:

Pretty. Not my type of pretty (unless he were a girl), but conventionally pretty. He intrigues me.

I almost feel like I need to do a first impressions based on the prologue or the opening video because this isn't a lot of characters in comparison to the cast I saw in the opening video

Hey! I’m going to go through Ikerev and essentially play it over again, all the routes and everything. I’d love to help with the project, and I was wondering if you had any bits of the game you were prioritizing at the moment, or any characters in particular that you are lacking content for.

So, I’m working through the second run through of Luka’s looking glass to get the different dialogue options. I won’t need any help here until I finish the third run through, the fourth through six would be to get the remaining three selections in the last chapters (romantic/dramatic). I’d like to start a different character by the end of the third play though.

I’m working on the cards because I realized yesterday that I didn’t finish them, currently going through the cradle residents. I am open to any remaining cards that I do not own from the two armies, gimme a little time with the residents.

Letters, I have finished uploading mine and I believe everything others have given me. So, that may require a quick run through from people to confirm the side story letters from events.

In terms of the saved stories, I have the titles and events of what I have, I haven’t had time to work through them as of late, so I haven’t filled those in yet. But, if you have stories that I don’t have, I accept help with those ones (screen recordings are easier to work through, but power to those who screenshot or send the text itself.)

I am also accepting all the photos that I don’t own. Since I did finish those ones (confirmed) what is there is what I had.

I will accept some backgrounds, maybe with the description of where it is (if it’s not obvious or like the sky)

If you’re on the braver end, I would accept content for another character’s route. It can be as simple as a play through screen recording set to auto play and you choose an option when you get there. All 5 chapters would need to be included.

Who I will protect at all costs: Kyle. I surprised myself with this answer a little, thinking right away it was going to be Luka but seriously considering it led me to this answer pretty solidly. Honestly, Kyle is genuinely one of the nicest, most generous, and good-hearted characters in this whole game and I would protect him at all costs.

Who deserves better: Harr. He really got the bad end of the stick, in a lot of ways and for very little reasons. I get it plot wise but my heart broke for him a little every time I saw him on my screen.

Who was killed off too early: Honestly, any and all deaths were pretty plot-centric and needed for backstories and the plot and motivations for each character to really come together so I really can’t think of any senseless deaths for IkeRev or ones that I feel personally shouldn’t have happened.

Who I used to hate but now I love: Edgar. I’ll go further into this further down in the responses, but it’s Edgar and I am pretty sure most people who have played the game can guess why.

Who I used to love but now I hate: Okay, I am going to get some comments here maybe, and please keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion. I don’t even hate him; he’s perfectly okay. But Ray’s was the route I did right away, the character who fascinated me the most and who I initially found the most attractive…and his route is my least favourite one, by a very wide margin.

Who needs to be killed off asap: Nobody. Just make everyone happy and healthy and in good places in their lives, lock people up in jail who need to be, and don’t kill anybody. Please! My heart loves most of these people and character deaths would hit me hard.

Who is unfairly hated: I think the player character can get a lot of flack from some people. While she’s not my favourite otome game protagonist, she’s definitely not the worst and I genuinely think the writers did the best job they could, having to use her as mostly a pilot for the story to get told.

Who is unfairly loved: As with all the other answers to this question for all fandoms, I will say nobody. Everybody has their different tastes and I think it’s fair to love whichever characters catch your fancy!

Who needs to sort out their priorities: Amon. I really almost wish there’d been a route for him as well because I do feel like I personally would have loved to have dug more into what made him the way he is, what his motivations and desires were and why.

Who needs a hug: Zero. Zero needs a lot of hugs, a veritable lifetime of hugs.

Who needs to get out of their current relationship: I feel like Dalim. I haven’t played his route through yet, but just from the spoilers I’ve read and such, I really do wonder what his life would be like or what it would have become had he become acquainted with the Magic Tower.

Who the writers love: I really feel like Ray is really treated as something special, and I’m not knocking anyone who has him as their favourite among the IkeRev men because different strokes for different folks, but I honestly found his route a little boring and his character got stale for me.

Who needs a better storyline: Well, let’s state the obvious here. It’s Blanc. I WANT A BLANC ROUTE SO BAD!!!

Who has an amazing redemption arc: Oh fuck, did Edgar’s route have my emotions on a roller coaster. I really hadn’t been interested at all in playing his route and did it just to get it out of the way, but it truly is one of my all time favourite routes of any otome game.

Who is hot as fuck: It’s honestly a tie between Harr and Sirius for me. I truly love both Kyle and Luka too, but they’re more cute than hot and I am okay with that.

Who belongs in jail: I mean, quite obviously, it’s Amon. I don’t think there’s too many disagreements as to that fact.

Who needs to be revived from the dead: Giving an unexpected answer here…Lancelot’s father. And it’s not so much that I want him revived but that I wish he had never died. The plot of the story would never have happened and I make no argument that Lancelot is not fantastic in the role, but think of how much happier so many of the characters would have been in that case, particularly Lancelot.

I write so much because there are tons of wonderful characters across the games ( i don't dislike a single one of them, really!) and a ton of daydreams that would make a neat little fic - by writing those daydreams 1) i have fun 2) i make people happy 3) i appreciate the characters that made me smile so many times while playing! From thereon i just need a little prompt or an idea and those come in easily with the amount of content creation challenges and other events that happen around here!

Or, today for instance, I played some ikerev and read about an off-screen scene that automatically projected into my imagination, so suddenly i really wanna write that. or, some random conversation i have with mutuals here is always sure to inspire me. i just wanna get better and better in putting my ideas on paper, no matter how silly they might be, i want the process to happen even faster so i can share with the world as much as possible of my writing! I have a loooot of favorite characters across all kinds of media so a lot of my ideas/thoughts/daydreams etc remain in my head only, so since i chose to share those for the ikemen series i want to do it as much as i can, seeing that there are people who like what i do 💗

The Clemence boys- yes. Please yes. Wrap me up in your capes and and mark me. They’re both blushing in these costumes which is so cute. Jonah: “I’m a vampire in the streets, but a real devil in the sheets” Luka: “will you kiss me and make my heart beat once more?”

Not a request, but I just want to talk with you about IkeRev. whose route is the one you liked the most and that has left an impression on you? for me, even if fenrir is my favorite character, I will definitely say that i liked Edgar’s route the most among all of them because of its surprises and the plot’s twists and turns. i mean, there’s just a lot of things and drama going on in his story, and it’s never bland. 

Oh yay!! Honestly, my dear anon, you don’t know how happy it makes me whenever someone pops into my inbox just to chat, because it makes me so incredibly happy (just as dm’s or anyone just wanting to talk to me does)!! No complaints, because I absolutely love and enjoy writing the requests I get, but being an imagines or writing blog in fandom can get a little lonely at times and can make you feel kind of removed from fandom as a whole, so chances to geek out with people who genuinely want to hear me do that?? Absolutely wonderful and enough to make my day!

Now, I will admit that I have not played through all the routes for IkeRev. I stopped playing it for quite a while, just because I got really into some other things, and only recently really rediscovered my love for it, so I’ve been replaying routes and playing some ones that were either released while I wasn’t into the game as much, or that I didn’t really get around to the first time so I can’t weigh in on every single route but I’ll do my best to kind of be coherent about my thoughts on the different routes, because I don’t actually have a favourite, since I can find positives to most of the routes.

I haven’t played Seth’s route yet, just because I really, really do love Seth quite a bit and am saving it for a bit of a treat myself. I haven’t played Dalim’s because, honestly, he just doesn’t catch my interest quite as much as some of the others. I haven’t played Oliver’s…I adore Oliver, he’s actually one of my favourites, and I know spoilers about his route and the general gist of the story but have not, and probably never will, play through his route. I’m just starting Luka’s route now, so no judgment on it yet!

I will say, straight off that I honestly wasn’t a huge fan of both Lancelot and Ray’s routes. They felt very otome basic to me and though I love both characters, I think the reason I love them so much was because of their roles in other people’s routes and less because their own routes were super enjoyable!

Though I had a list of ‘proper order to play the routes’ when I started playing the game, that kind of got thrown away when I saw Sirius and I did Ray’s route first and then went right into Sirius’ route…and maybe the route isn’t as great as I’m remembering it to be, but after Ray’s disappointing route, and the fact that I loved Sirius so hard right off the bat means that his route definitely remains one I really love, for nostalgia factor. I did Kyle’s right after Sirius’ and I have a lot of love for both Kyle and his route because of that, especially since I was really developing my own fascination with and plans to study in the medical field around the time I was playing that route.

Favourite though?? In terms of pacing, plot, drama and angst, and characterizations, Edgar’s route is arguably the absolute best out of all the routes I’ve played through so far. I was glued to my screen and I spent actual, real life currency to keep playing through that route because it hooked me in so much. Like, I honestly was not an Edgar fan at all starting his route, I was only doing it because I really do prefer to finish all the routes in a game if I can, but I came out of that route just absolutely such a fan of the route and of Edgar’s.

The route I revisit the most though?? It’s Fenrir’s, actually! I won’t say he’s my absolute favourite, love-of-my-life in all of IkeRev, because I love him as much as the rest of them (and maybe a little, tiny bit less than some of them), but I find his route to just be really relaxing to play through. Yeah, it has its conflicts and it’s drama at appropriate moments, but it still manages to feel really light-hearted and Fenrir just always manages to make me smile, so I find myself replaying his route in between routes I’ve found boring or routes that really pulled heavily on my emotions, just to have that kind of mental happiness reset! Loki's is the only other route I replay with any regularity as well.

My first impression of the game was, “who are these guys, are they from the same game developer as Ikesen and Ikerev? Is that Ieyasu? And who is that fine guy (Leonardo) there?”. Ikevamp is the 3rd Cybird game I’ve ever played beside Ikesen and Ikerev

(2) Who was the character you liked most in the beginning, and is he still your fave?

Leonardo was my first pick and I’ve never changed my oshi since then

(3) How you picked your first route, and whose route was it? Was your favorite suitor available when you first started playing?

I pre-registered the game when they first launch in Taiwan version, Leonardo was one of first 3 suitors, I chose him because I love the voice and the character design, I hadn’t read the preview before choosing him tbh. Everything was so fresh in the beginning~

Leonardo’s sequel, that’s all I need hehe 😉

(5) A character you thought would be different than how he is:

Jean, I thought he was going to be a tough and cold suitor but actually he is a sweet heart, or I must say a cinnamon roll 🥺

Faust, I didn’t like him mostly because of his glasses (those ugly glasses), the voice, and first half of his route. BUT he’s a gentleman after all and I love the way he loves and cares for MC 😤. To me, he is the contrary version of Leonardo.

It was the very first story event when the game was launch, sadly I don’t remember the story now (I need to look up at the epilogue lol, it’s been so long)

I have lots of moments in a route that made me laugh, every suitor has that.
