I think this is the first time I've ever seen a character make Shakespeare's life a living hell and the latter didn't expect/see it coming, that was AMAZING. Mf was out here like "What the hell??? You lot don't make me suffer I make YOU suffer. Let a man obsess IN PRIVACY" and then nobody cared. Peak comedic interaction, no notes everyone pack it up

Done with Charles aka pink doggo's route, finally.

Okay so basically...

The first half is like Vlad-- The guy meets MC somewhere outside the mansion and he spends time with her as a friend hiding the identity as a vampire

And the second half is JUST LIKE Will

It turns out the guy is seriously unhinged inside with a mask on the outside

He falls for MC but doesn't think himself is the right one to be with her, and tries to push her away with harsh words "for her sake"

MC is surprisingly not dumb(I mean it, she actually knows how to use her brain in these two routes), doesn't lose hope and wants to save the guy anyway

Then in the climax where the CG appears, the guy is STABBED OF HIS OWN WILL in the DAMN CHURCH

Do these reddish haired ones share something in common?? I'm sure they do

The thing is Will is my fav followed by Vlad the close second

And the mix of those two? There's no single reason not to put him in one of my best boys

Guess I'm into either drama level max or innocent madness

Side note: In this route Faust was a very good sidekick. Felt like trying his route again but weelll...? And why on earth Vlad was depicted like the sad 2nd ML aahhh I felt like crying

So now my ranking would be like

So among the "later routes" the half are in the top tier and the other half are stuck in the bottom... which looks quite weird

I like later routes much better in IkeVamp cuz I'm sick of the plot MC is kidnapped by a random stranger then the LI and this so-called villain guy fight with some forced "enemy" narratives

The only reason that I put some in the bottom is either the stories were too boring and unnatural(Sebas and Comte) or it was just plain annoying for me from the start(Faust)

So why did this turn out to be so long? Dunno if anybody did actually read this far but thank you anyways :)

What's even more uproarious to me is Dazai like "I must. Protect MC from his vile eboy clutches." And MC is straight up like "Dazai if you won't tap this then I will have my hot girl summer." Can you tell I love her so much for this I'm sobbing. Girl math queen of "I want what's bad for me"

Charles. Trying to whine his way into a hot night and Dazai's abrupt "Haha, no." Just imagining the delivery of that line straight up made me astral project, Dazai is feeling petty and I'm LIVING

I think I've just gotten so used to Comte and Leonardo being so literal of like "oh yeah that f**ker can't keep his hands to himself, give me a second to get rid of him" that I just did not see Dazai's roast coming. And not only how iconic and subtle a jab that is, but the ENDLESS implications????????????

"He seems like someone who can't keep his hands out of the picnic basket." Dazai was COOKING. He said "boy's got no patience, he can't pace a relationship properly." [Note: Dazai can't pace a relationship at all, so uh, pot meet kettle--]. He said "man's going to get to third base on the first date and that is GAUCHE." I love this bit because of how much it gives him away. Dazai out here like "I'm just a silly silly goofy no thoughts guy! Hahaha!" And then the second Charles tries to drag MC around like a rag doll, Dazai comes out like "what is this. menace doing with a nice young woman. I say, young man, cease this horny shitfkery at once!" The man who sat in bed with MC naked after a month's worth of knowing her and does not explain (though in fairness he was trying to be helpful [?]). Can you tell I love him. Osamu "Do As I Say, Not As I Do" Dazai.

Dazai out here like "I just know he's going to ask too much of her, and that could have grievous implications when it comes to being a vampire." As much as it might be a throwaway line, I gotta say I see that amongst his concerns. And tbh I think he means it both in the sense of bloodlust but also in the sense that Charles is a bit wayward with his self-control (not entirely Charles' fault). Dazai out here like "I know this little shit ain't got an ounce of foresight, and I hate this for my best girl." No beef to Charles, but the man lives in the present (in some ways by circumstance) and I can see how he might not be able to have MC's best interests for the future in mind (he's got a lot of healing to do).

Release Day Free Prompt: Moving in Together

I hadn't time to write much for this after spending time with other incomplete projects, maybe I'll go back to the other prompts some other time since I had the idea to make these a progressive series, but I completed this one at least. Late and a little rushed because I had a complicated day, but I did

It wasn’t uncommon for you to be woken up by your boyfriend when you spent the night with him. Charles always woke up earlier, prepared breakfast before waking you up.

But this time, it didn’t look like he intended to wake you up. He was on your side on the bed, holding you from behind. What had woken you up was the tickle of soft kisses along your neck and face.

Charles being affectionate was nothing new either. He’s always been like a very friendly cat, even before you started dating. But something about the way he did it today felt strange.

“Charles?”

When he released you were awake, Charles loosened his hold on you only enough for you to turn to face him.

“Good morning.” He greeted happily, kissing your lips this time. “Did you sleep well? You looked so cute sleeping. I didn’t want to wake you up.” His hold on you tightened again, and you were showered with more kisses, until it tickled and you laughed.

Was he trying to distract you from asking what was wrong? It was hard to tell when he was being the same as ever. It was you who got this strange feeling about it.

“Charles, you know I have to go to work. You’re not trying to make me stay here, are you?”

He always did, but not like this. He at least woke you up on time. You had a bath and breakfast before he started to get more clingy than usual.

“It’s not your work I worry about, but when will I see you again? Sometimes we spend the week without seeing each other. Unless I go visit you, but then you don’t want me to stay. And sometimes we go on dates, but you have to go home early…”

Charles was pouting now. Despite the serious situation, you couldn’t help but think of how cute he looked, but you interrupted him by petting his hair.

“That’s how dating work, Charles. Do you miss me that much?”

“Every second you’re not by my side. I just love you so much. Why can’t we have more time together? Can’t you come live here?” He asked, looking at you with these puppy eyes of his that you always found hard to say no to.

Couldn’t you? It wasn’t the first time he asked, but you thought it would be too early. Why? You couldn’t really remember. You loved each other, and even though your relationship was relatively new, it couldn’t be more committed. Was there such a thing as too early to take a new step?

“Are you serious?”

“Of course. I’ll do anything you need to make you feel at home. I will…”

You interrupted him again, this time with a kiss, before he started listing all the things he’d do for you. Not that you didn’t appreciate his helpful nature.

“Sure. Can I move in this weekend?”

“Of course!” He exclaimed excitedly. “You can move whenever you want. What do you need? New clothes? Do you want to have your own room? Although I’d rather you just slept with me every night.”

“I don’t need anything for now.” You laughed, cuddling into him. “I’ll just have to pack my things on my next day off. I will love living with you.”
