I'm lazy to load up a tier list, so here's the text version from my pov.

Smentin - Smith x HN2 Quentin (yes, I separate them) it's not the same dynamic as the other. it's more difficult to make it work, but not impossible. :)

Theodore x Nicky (from final storyline. yes.) I think now in 2024, that it'd rather be family and living together next to each other, and not sexual. if Theodore was alive, he'd have noone, just like Nicky. they sit the fuck down, discuss past, differences, cope. they have a shitton of things in common, they could spend nights talking on the porch and evenings, inventing stuff. this fucking franchise IS originally about moving on from past traumas for good and NOT getting stuck in them. idgaf how it gets modified.

🙂 B tier (it's okay)

Beabor (Beatrix x Theodore) despite I invented it, I see it as platonic most of the time, with mutual deep respect. there might be hints, but it's not endgame in my fics.

Mya x Nicky (if Mya survived) I'm ok with this, it could have an interesting outcome..until Nicky tells he's gay. but rather this ship, than any other with SN kids or Aaron.

😕 D tier (not really)

Ike and Theodore - they're like brothers and I hate sibling-like relationships sexualized. Ike is THE supportive sidekick brother who'd die for his friends. (not pun)

HN2 Quentin and Theodore - negative amount of dynamic / chemistry. at max Theodore would care about Quentin's safety (like he actually does about good souls) and prevent him from dying from cultists, but the man's clearly more mature than that disaster guy. zero . dynamic.

Theodore x Diane (yeah lol) Diane is Theodore's second wife if we do (and yes. we do) include the past storylines. Nikita said that HN altogether as a journey is HN, and not just the final game. so. there's also literally 0 explanation about their relationship at all. what should I like in it? WHY should I like it? books made it FAR WORSE.
