Something I really liked about the new ep was the fact that sure, it was a Valentine’s episode, but it wasn’t about Valentine’s Day. Like, vday wasn’t the main plot point of the episode - it kinda just happened at the end of the episode and was the reason for why Cupid Ye was around. Idk, as someone with an iffy relationship with vday it’s honestly refreshing

#bits of banter #south park #Cupid ye #sp Cupid ye #south park spoilers #sp spoilers #s26 #ik ik there’s a lot of shows that only use vday briefly but they don’t use it Darkly like sp did here #sp used it to bring in a character that was the antagonist of the episode until he took his meds and make things better #now I might be putting things wrong because sometimes it’s hard to articulate my thoughts but #the whole ep wasn’t a centred around love and shit it was about hate and jealousy and how it affects those around you #it’s taking Valentine’s Day and putting a darker spin on it #you have to deal with the hate and jealousy and turn it around - turn it into something manageable and acceptable #idk if anyone’s even reading my tags but that’s my take on this #if I’ve offended anyone or worded wrong I’m really sorry I’m not agreeing with Cupid ye or anything here #it’s just nice to see a different spin on valentines :)
