I try not to post too much about antis because I want the proship tags to be filled with happiness more so than rants, but I haven’t seen anyone point these two people out much so here I go.

Britney Venti and Meatcanyon. MC is simple. He uploaded a video called “the worst fandom” and basically shat on lolicons and spread that stupid school of thought “your brain can’t tell the different between drawings and the real thing-“ No meaty, maybe YOUR brain can’t tell the differences but most of us well adjusted adults CAN. In fact, I think he maybe really can’t tell the difference, remember that disgusting video where he drew that foot ball player getting grossly intimate with his son (a real child, a real father) AND then made a joke about the foot ball abusing the wife for laughs? A real woman as well I’m assuming? Maybe I’m just sensitive to women’s issues because I am one, but gross. Why didn’t more people call Meaty out for that?? I didn’t hear a buzz or a thing about it.

Okay so Britney Venti. Basically she’s a pickme who hates other women, shits on sex workers and lolicons alike. She also likes to join discord servers that are properly marked and labeled as the exact thing she hates just to “expose them”.

At first she’ll try to shit on sex workers by saying stuff like “well I’m just looking at the fact and the psychology about how sex workers are always depressed and aboooosed” and then she’ll turn around and make fun of these same women with really petty low jabs like “wow she looks so retarded and talks funny” (a Venus angelic video iirc) to top all of that off, she’s also apparently dating the incel king himself think before you sleep SO.

And to be clear, I’m a little murky on how good sex work actually is for women myself. I honestly don’t know and I have some misgivings about it, but the difference between Britney and I, is that I’ll never make fun of SWer’s abuse stories, body shame them or victim blame them for what they’ve been through. Basically, Britney sweetie, maybe your brain hasn’t quite caught up to this type of nuance yet, but you can dislike sex work without hating sex workers and being misogynistic.

And like, not to bring up something that’s not fate related, but in DC when they made Talia do something similar to Bruce in order to conceive Damian they ended up retconning it because it was just so badly received and even the writers who normally only write stuff in for shockvalue and shit were like “oh yeah this needs to change we need to never make this a thing like ever again.” If I recall correctly it was retconned so hard that it’s why the current version of Bruce is written as more of a playboy and as someone who seriously considers marriage (bat/cat wedding arc I forgot the name) which was absolutely not the case for a very long time until very recent renditions of Batman. And it was literally all bc of this retcon thing that was received so poorly. They even retconned it without restarting the universe, that usually doesn’t happen. Usually they save up all the stuff to retcon and then do it when they jumpstart the universe like N52 and uhh whatever earth we are on now I forgot <3. Like this is also why we had the whole “batman doesn’t go down on women” or whatever thing which was stupid for other reasons I won’t get into. Like it was all because of this retcon thing…

TLDR; fate fans make me upset…like it’s one thing if nasu personally retcons parts of their lore liek w/ Gil, but like…he invented the Morgan’s bit iirc and also like Agravain is being written very realistically bc he did actually hate women…well he hated Guinevere specially. He actually blamed her for Lancelot having an affair with her… like he thought both of them were traitors, but he also believed that Lancelot was ever so slightly less at fault bc Guinevere is a woman and she must’ve done something to make him betray his king which is insane

not to post a galaxy-brained take on main or anything but a lot of the discourse around people “celebrating” xxxtencion’s death is so superficial

like, this man had a documented history of extreme homophobic and misogynistic violence, and he spoke of these things without showing remorse for them at all. he never redacted anything he said or did anything to indicate that he acknowledged the horrific nature of his actions. to top it off, this man was 20 years old, very very young. had he’d stayed alive, there’s absolutely nothing that’s been said or done to suggest that this wouldn’t have continued or escalated. i dnt think it’s at all wrong to say that this man would have likely murdered a woman or lgbt person.

like, if you look at the kinds of people that perpetrate things like mass shootings or hate crimes, almost all of them had well-documented histories of violence as well as open misogyny, homophobia, what have you. eli rogers was an active participant in mra/incel type communities online. the parkland shooter (iirc, lots of school shootings in the news lately, which is such a fatiguing thing to even type) brought a gun to school bc he was rejected by a girl in his class. pulse speaks for itself. violence and hatred feed off of one another until someone dies. it’s documented reality.

there’s a proverb that says something to the effect of “if he is a good man, death will be a release; if he is a bad one, it will release others from him” and xxxtencion was the latter. people aren’t happy abt this for the sake of being cruel or petty or heartless, they’re doing it bc this man is no longer capable of hurting anyone else. there’s no reason to believe he wouldn’t have
