Part two! Today I (and my family!) got this MASSIVE parcel from my absolutely AMAZING friend and fellow palliative care and detox warrior Chloe ❤️ When I video called her to say thank you, and asked why I’d been treated to such a huge surprise. She said “people think once you’re off the drugs that’s it, that the hard part’s done... but actually THIS is the hardest part.” And she’s absolutely right. The hard part is figuring out living my life with as little use of the benzodiazepines and opioids as possible. It’s figuring out what my body is like, and who I am. I’m so, so grateful to have made such an incredible friend. I honestly don’t think I could’ve done my detox with my buddy and her endless understanding and support. Despite her multitude of challenges, Chloe makes so many people’s days better and brighter just by being her; certainly in our house! I got mail!!!! @andysciazkoart and @marysyring sent me this wonderful gift!!!!! I'm so blessed to have met Mary in San Francisco last year. Andy I came across during #drawlloween last year. And then I realised later they were a couple. Both are wonderful artists. Mary's work can be found in galleries throughout the US such as @alexieragallery. She is also an awesome member of our art collective @surrealharmonyart. Andy is one of the most gifted and intuitive 'drawers' I have come across.
