short story :)

this is a short story i made on roblox and it's pretty much a warm up before i actually continue typing the AU story out. I hope you enjoy it <3 [ story is not AU related, its my sona with a mute reader ]

You see a doll house from afar, glancing at it in awe before inhaling the sweet air that is surrounding the house. Your stomach rumbled a bit, sensing that you're hungry from the long trip. You walked up to the house and before you even know it, the door is cracked open. You thought to yourself if you should enter the house but curiousity is entering through your mind that you gently pushed the door open, hearing a small creak and meow from the distance. A feline was the first thing you see and it climbed down its cat house to walk up to you, curiously. You kneel a bit and pet its head, feeling the vibrating purr against your hand and moving away to make its way to the kitchen, hearing the collar jangle from it's neck. You peeked your head into the kitchen and see an anthropomorphic bunny in pretty pink pajamas, taking a tray out of the oven and putting it on top of the counter, taking the kitchen mittens off. The cat meowed once again, entering the kitchen and walking up to the rabbit, rubbing its body against their leg. They turn to look down and gives it a pet before turning at you, a bit shocked that you entered the house without a sound. It only startled them for one bit until they chuckled, giving you a gentle smile. " You startled me there, stranger. I thought i locked my door, " their voice sounded gentle and comforting so you stepped into the kitchen more to show your appearance.

You apologized to them about entering the house without permission, rubbing the back of your neck, quite embarassed. They picked up their cat, carrying the little critter like a baby and petting its head, " no worries, a knock or ring on the door bell would be nice. I figured you entered the house because of my pandan bread, would you like some..?". The offer seems nice for a change since back at your town, none of that was there but filled with rude customers and unfair service.

You nod softly, putting your hands behind your back. "alright, this is my treat so you can take two for the trip from where you're from," they grabbed the two fresh breads and a mini basket to store in, placing a cloth on top to keep it warm and cozy.

They gave you the basket,"here you go..I hope this is enough for you". You grabbed the basket and peeked inside before looking up at them and smiling softly. They are quite curious about you now, asking,"can you speak, young one?". You shook your head no, pulling up a card from the lanyard around your neck, showing it to them that says "i'm mute, please be patient." They looked in awe then nod,"i see, you seemed satisfied with the offer, i'm sure you'll enjoy the breads".

You nod once again, leaning forward to pet their cat again. The purrs were vibrating against your hand and making you smile wider. " It seems like Jackpot likes you too. How lovely, " they said, feeling the cat stretched his long arms out and cuddled up against their chest.

After the interaction, they helped you escort out of the doll house, careful enough to not accidentally hurt you because of the crayons and sewing kit around the floor. You stepped outside once again, taking a deep breath to inhale the nature smell of rain.

"Be safe out there. You can come back whenever you like," they said, waving a goodbye at you. You waved back at them, starting to make your way out of the doll house. It seemed like a comforting haven, the peace and quiet surrounding the environment, and pretty colors of pastels and white that gives off the atmosphere. You glanced at the house one last time, seeing the rabbit walking through their house from the window before turning back to continue on.

Will you see them again, you questioned yourself. Maybe another day or so, you will see. The End.

OCtober week 3 update!

this week was rife with delays, i had a bunch of drawings i completely didnt do on the day they were intended to be drawn, but i feel like by day 17 i got back into a groove and made a lot better drawings as a whole.

explanations for costume choices under the cut!

-Wyatt has their own mini-update made for them, so ill make this brief. he's a blue and yellow toting video game protagonist who fights mindless hordes of zombies. making him V1 just kinda works. also i gotta draw him in slutty pants so that was fun.

-Paladin was actually designed as a callback to one of my older drawings, last OCtober i tried making Paladin as the false knight and inbetween that drawing and the two years past, i had completely remade his design, mainly by actually giving one in the first place. i redrew him both as a testament to how my art has progressed and to actually make it look like how he actually looks. also jas is a friend's oc whos made of void. little ghost works.

-Pyre is a tf2 oc, hes a pyrotechnic engineer who replaced his blood with lava. i remember tobjorn drinks lava in a taunt of his, and also the fact that he's from overwatch, so.. i thought it worked.

-i had been really wanting to draw my grunge msm bat oc Bastrad as a vampire for a while, but i felt like a typical vampire woulda been lame. choosing the specific character of Dracula Flow was a little bit of spice that i really wanted.

-Zazz is a fucked up lil person. they have the craziest anatomy, a name consisting of mainly Zs, and a hat companion. choosing coach z was a very strange choice, but i thought it was a very fun choice. kinda fucky anatomy, the name is Z, and one of their main design features is their hat, like. it works.

-Oliver Bones is an archaeological delight, a skeleton who loves digging up other skeletons. choosing specifically the crystal skull from indianna jones, a movie from my childhood, was a very fun idea. this was a bit more of a rushed artwork but im. im still happy with it. ignore the lighting please.

-Peri is actually the sona of my friend! i drew this on the weekend, so it was friend oc days. i chose trixie lulamoon specifically because she was my friend's pfp at the time and it sounded fun.

I’m glad you like reading about c!Leif! And I like answering your questions about him!

So yeah he does other things, like tapestries, wood/stone carving, and all sorts of stuff, painting just happens to be his favorite. I’d say his second favorite would be soapstone carving. He likes to make mini versions of all his animals. Most of the more artistic things are kind of self taught. Before he settled into the sanctuary he traveled a lot to find the ‘perfect place’, during his travels he met plenty of people, he just copied them. Monkey see monkey do really lol.

His anxiety does make him sad sometimes, he would love to make new friends, but his nerves tend to get the best of him. Though he definitely doesn’t mind being surrounded by animals rather than people. As nice as it would be to have friends around to talk to, the quiet is nice most of the time.

I definitely agree that c!Philza would probably have spent a lot of his time traveling and learning about the world. c!Leif would definitely be more inclined to get to know c!Philza seeing as he’s one of the calmer smp members. I like to think that when c!Leif manages to make a new friend he’ll spend hours excitedly introducing them to all of his pets. I can imagine him growing quite fond of c!Philza.

When c!Leif found the ruins I’d say he was more intrigued by the architecture rather than how it got there or who made it. During the process of rebuilding he did stumble upon some strange runes, he wrote them down for later and proceeded to forget what he did with the notes.

The tendrils really only bothered him because of the smell, he heard something about a large red egg at one point, but has yet to put two and two together. He assumes they were just some sort of invasive species, a seed probably stuck to the shoes of a traveler.

I’m really glad you enjoy his character! I really enjoy building his story and it’s fun to rant to you about him!

After getting to know, and open up to c!Ramza, c!Leif would definitely like to consider them a friend. Especially if they offered to help find the rougue chicken. A one way ticket to being c!Leif’s friend, his animals. They seem like a very kind person, and they probably have some entertaining stories he’d enjoy hearing.

And for the final question, this isn’t all of his animals but these are his most prominent friends. Almost all of the animals are named after peoples of Ancient Greece, gods and goddesses, philosophers and scientists, perfect example: Archimedes the chicken. Archimedes was a Greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and an astronomer. One of the the more renowned scientists found his time, so it’s only fitting that a chicken who probably knows more than it lets on should be named after him. There are plenty of chickens roaming around the sanctuary, most with names, but Archimedes sticks out more so than the others. He likes to make himself known, if you aren’t paying attention to him he is either tearing up your home or pecking at your feet. There are three different packs in the sanctuary, they don’t stay there full time, they like to roam. The pack that c!Leif is the most friendly with is the smallest one, there are only five wolves in this pack,and c!Leif has lovingly named each of them. There are three siblings: Acesias(a physician),Marinus(a philosopher), and Lobon(a literary forger). A mother to the siblings, Lysias(an orator). And a runt they found in a ditch, Isocrates(a rhetorician, and Spartan general) Lobon and Isocrates are the only males in their little pack. There’s an especially large heard of horses that don’t live in the sanctuary, but c!Leif goes to feed them every morning, most are named, though c!Leif has yet to meet all of them. Four of the named ones include Hecate, Epiphiron, Heimarmene and Gelos. There’s one polar bear he managed to drag home, appropriately named Lyssa, for her rude tendencies. Lyssa was the spirit of mad rage and frenzy.

There are and abundance of birds living in the sanctuary, mainly parrots. One particularly vain parrot is of course, called Aphrodite. There’s a decent size lake that flows into the ocean, there’s freshwater fish living in the lake, and c!Leif can follow the river to the ocean where all of his sea turtle friends are, they tend to ignore him, but he enjoys watching them from time to time.

There’s also a pair of piglins who he has forced to live in a section of the sanctuary. He found them during a trip in the nether, he wasn’t wearing gold so they came after him, he just led them home and trapped them in a little building witch he latter added a lava pool and a bunch of gold to. They begrudgingly stay because they don’t know how to get back to the nether, he calls one Ares for obvious reasons, and the other is Menoetius, a titan god of violent anger and rash violence. He doesn’t like to pick favorites, but he has a favorite. A little bearded dragon, I have a bearded dragon so it only makes sense my sona does too lol. Her name is Anteros, the god of requited love, she likes to ride around on c!Leifs shoulder while he does chores and feeds all the other animals.

As for chores and feeding, c!Leif spends the early hours of the mornings gathering wheat, carrots, meat, etc for all the animals. He goes around to water tubs and troughs , refilling the water tubs around the sanctuary and feeding all the animals. He also spends a good hour scrubbing bird poop and picking up goat droppings, some of the animals just like to do their business wherever. He also goes to the lake to make sure there’s no debris or sickened animals there contaminate the water. That’s another detail about the sanctuary, he has a veterinary room for sick or injured animals he comes across. c!Leif’s interactions with animals vary from animal to animal. Pandas and wolves enjoy belly scratches, parrots like when you talk to them. Turtles are pretty indifferent, cats are cats, they want love, you give them love, they are then filled with rage at the fact that you are touching them. Fish, well, they’re fish. Can’t really pet them lol.

If you have any more questions I’d love to hear them! Some questions help me develop him more so it’s always nice to have questions to answer!

Ohhh that’s cool! Very talented! ngl I would love to see the little figures of the animals 😌 I think they would look incredible cute and awesome!

honestly c!Leif sounds like a person I would definitely approach and ask about how to treat mobs correctly and how to take care of them correctly! I know c!Ramza would! They would probably ask him about it and write down the info he has in order to spread it/ keep it safe for others to research!

I’m happy to hear that he didn’t have to deal with the egg too much and that it went well!

The animals sound so nice! But also mischievious haha I bet c!Leif has a lot on his hands with them but in a good way! I really adore that you use old prominent greek names!

Honestly the place sounds amazing! ngl I would love to see something like this, I imagine this as a really beautiful and peaceful place. I can tell you thought a lot about this and I love it so much!

Would he feel comfortable with inviting people over? Only people that he really trusts or feels he more comfortable having his home for himself and the animals? How would he react if someone gets too close and maybe wants to investigate the place, seeing how anxious he is

Has he had problems with maybe protecting his animals or has his life there been rather peaceful?

Unpopular Poképinions Ahead

As Gen 4 approaches it’s remake and Gen 5 will hit it’s inevitable “Gen 5 remakes confirmed” stage, etc. etc., I would like to state for the record that

1. I have always loved Gen 5 and 6.

There was a lot of bullshit passed around and people hating it, but 5th gen literally got me to not only play Pokémon again but also beat the full game after Crystal (I had no GBA nor have I ever actually finished HGSS, which is main reason I actually cared about 4th gen in the first place until I got older lol) I’ve noticed a lot of people jumping the “5th gen was always good” bandwagon, but those people are liars who gave it shit because of the “unoriginal designs” and “dumb, unnecessary story”. 6th gen, though a little lacking, was still amazing, and idegaf about megas. We could sit on benches and take photos, and dress up as ourselves for the first time. I’ve been seeing people memeing how there are no 6th gen fans and that’s only because enough time hasn’t passed for people to be hipstely, retroactively loving it yet. My only criticism is fuck France Kalos.

2. I will never actually admit to liking 8th gen.

When the wheel once again inevitably returns to Galar, I will stand by my past (present) self and stand firm in the belief that this was one of my least fave gens of all time. I haven’t even finished any of my 3rd or 4th gen runs and I can say that with absolute certainty that 8th gen was not worth the money it cost (it was gifted to me, so I can’t say the money I paid lol, but I still feel guilty that money was paid for it). Even somehow ignoring the glaring controversies, Galar felt so incredibly small and lackluster for our first big Switch entry. There will probably never be a generation that gives us absolutely nothing, but there’s so little for me to say I actually liked. There’s nothing for me to miss when this gen leaves us for the next. Cooking is fun, but I won’t bat an eye when it leaves because it wasn’t even the first game we had a “cooking” minigame.

Like, if I do a comparison between 3rd +4th gen and 8th gen, even though I haven’t technically finished any of them yet (barely past the first couple gyms in the former, don’t feel the motivation to finally beat Leon in the latter) there’s more much more from my previously held “least fave” gens that I enjoy.

3rd Gen/Hoenn

Contests - kinda cool and something other to do than battling

PokéBlocks - the beginnings of the cooking mini-games

Secret bases - expanded on your customizble room from 2nd Gen which, like, probably 10 of you remember

Team Aqua vs. Magma - I love these pair of failure of 9th grade earth science distasters. Archie and Maxie and garbage himbo otp

Abilities - natures drive me insane, but abilities are so useful and make so much sense and I don’t know where battling even in-game would be without them

Coherent box system - it was a logical jump, but still

Braille - Ngl, I was super butthurt when, as a child, I learned that the unnown weren’t used in this game like before, but as an adult that can appreciate things, props to Gamefreak for using a real written language that’s actually only read by minority of people and encouraging people to learn it just ‘cause

4th Gen/Sinnoh

Super Contests (again) - look, my first experience with 4th gen was my brother’s best friend letting me play contests on his DS because my brother and I did not own one (a different friend accidentally broke my GBA my brother was borrowing before we had the chance to own RSE). I’ve always seen my trainer-sona as a professor/researcher, but you can peel contests out of my cold, dead hands.

Poffins - more cooking mini-games, A++

Looker - I love him, go away

Pokétch - As a second gen fan that is absolutely biased and will give extra points to all things Johto, the pokétch was the best tech device, fight me

Mining - same as super contests because I love any mini-games with attention to detail

Sex differences - I love how Gamefreak remembered that these are animals and may have sexual dimorphism, some done better than others, but still

Day/Night - I was very angry at 3rd gen for getting rid of this and pleased at it’s return in 4th gen

8th Gen/Galar

Curry - because as mentioned before, I’m a slut for cooking games

Marnie - little (titty) goth GF

Visible wild pokémon - which tbf were already showing up in other games, but I’ll give them credit for keeping them in these main series games

Regional mons - I’ve been a sucker for these guys since the previous gen and they kept going with those sick designs

I’m genuinely having trouble thinking of things I genuinely liked from these games that I remember more things I enjoyed from the other two gens

Honestly, 3rd and 4th gen had my least fave designs while there aren’t really any I dislike from 8th (tho those fossils make me angry), but that doesn’t really “fix” my lack of interest or draw to the games as a whole. Camping was a downgrade because even if I can see everyone together, I’m not allowed to pet my babies.

Anyways, my original point was, Gen 8 sucks and you won’t see me acting like those liars or reddit acting like it wasn’t an unpopular opinion to hate on it once time has passed. I’ll stand my ground and feel free to call me out on this should the moment arise (it won’t).

These are in no particular order~

1: Hate Me- Blue October

The first time I heard this song it honestly brought me to tears.  Now my favorite version of this song is an acoustic version that I’ve only managed to hear on Pandora, but I will gladly listen to -any- version of this song.  Blue October is a very special group to me, and this song especially hits me really hard, not necessarily for the exact things he’s singing about, but it hits a lot of things I’ve struggled with and thought.  It’s one of the songs that is going to forever and ever be on my sona’s playlist.

2: Change (In the House of Flies)- Deftones

So I’ve always love love LOVED this song.  Like Hate Me, it makes me feel -very- emotional, this is the song I’m reeeeeally working on doing a solo for because the best way to do a solo is to find a song that just... makes you feel so much you feel it overflowing.  It’s also one of the songs I didn’t even think twice before throwing into the playlist of angsty goodness for one of @prettyprompto and I’s current RPs LOL  But yeah, it’s a really good song, and I’ve always just been extremely drawn to it.

3: Elastic Heart- (Rock Cover) Written by Wolves

Okay... I’m a SIA whore, but it’s seriously because of this cover of this song.  As much as I love the original, to me, this version specifically really conveys this feeling of like, easy easy easy POW.  Like I adore how you get the verses, and you just get duder singing and it’s like “oh this is alright” and then suddenly you find yourself with eyeliner pouring down your eyes shouting “WELL I’VE GOT THICK SKIN AND AN ELASTIC HEART” right there with him while the guitars and drums kick the fuck up and AH <3  Just a great cover in my opinion!

4: Gods & Monsters- Jessica Lange

Ever since I performed in my local vaudeville and one of our guys dressed as bride of Frankenstein and performed this, I -loved- it.  The performance itself was just... gorgeous.  I would share it if I could, but I don’t have permission from the performer and stuff x’D  This version especially I adore.  It has this air of mystery that the original just doesn’t... and in my honest opinion, it sounds so much less try hard and forced edge.  The words they used to replace some of the original lyrics just... flows a lot better to me!  Props to that beautiful smokey voice Jessica Lange possesses that I wish I could match ;v;

5: Boom- iBenji

Okay so one of my belly girls and I have been dancing to this for MONTHS, we’re getting ready to do our second performance to this piece (after adding a third person to it too :D)  and well... what’s the significance of that?  WELL... when you’re performing a dance to a piece... you listen to it multiple times, I’ve probably easily listened to the 2 and a half minute cut of this the goils and I are doing at least 300 times now and I tell you........ somehow I am not at all tired of it.  This song is so fucking powerful, and I just can’t help but feel like a badass and bounce around to it whenever I hear it~ 

6: Hold My Heart- Lindsey Stirling feat. ZZ Ward

So if someone asked me what Iggy and Ashe’s song would be.... well I’d have two answers for yah honestly!  One of them would be Fallen Angel from Panty and Stocking, but the other one is this, because this encapsulates the person Ashe was eeeearly early on in the relationship (little miss I DON’T NEED YOU CAUSE I’M STRONG but I guess like... it would be nice to like... have someone to love and love me back...?) 

7: Butterfly- Bassnectar feat. Mimi Page

I love the feeling of wonder mixed with power in this one.  I always feel like I’m being swept away on a magical and colorful adventure when I hear this.  I often find myself picking it up when I start a new drawing or stream (or drawing stream lol).  Great song for veil, that’s actually how I discovered this song!  A gal did a dance to this with isis wings that looked like butterfly wings and it was instant love~

8: Careless Whisper- Seether

Ever since I heard Sexy Saxophone Guy, I was like “Oh... this song will never be sexy~” HAAAAAHAHAHAHA boy was I wrong...

Now look, I’m not the biggest fan of Seether.  Sometimes I like him, sometimes I can’t mash the skip button fast enough, but you can pretty much always bet as soon as I hear the intro to this, I’ll be whipping out a chair and going FULL FUCKING DIVA QUEEN MODE.  Also great whenever I need to write something... *ahem*... spicy~

9: Opera 2- Vitas

Okay look, I see Vitas getting a loooooooooot of shit cause of the 7th element song thing and they just kind of assume that all that happens when he hits the stage is he bobs around and makes a bunch of noise (which I’m sorry, have you ever tried to get up and make the noises with the pitch and control he does?! -hard cough- /end rant), but Opera 2 is the first song I ever heard of his and you can bet I was COMPLETELY blown away.  His voice was so otherworldly to me and spine chillingly clear.  I can see why he’s not a lot of people’s tastes, but hoooooooooly shit, I love this song, and I wish more people knew about it and knew how incredibly talented Vitas is.  5 Octaves of range man ._.

10: I Am The Highway- Audioslave

This song... helped me put a lot behind me and be okay.  My cousin actually commissioned me to make her a poster based on this song so I’ve been listening to it a looooooooot lately, which I’m totally okay with because despite the things I associate it with, I adore it.  It weighs so much heavier with Chris Cornell being gone now... but this song hasn’t been absent from my ipod/iphone for over 10 years...
