it's actually a little bit comical. jay and i were with each other the entire con, masking the whole time, ive had more jabs than him because i work in a school, he's got a weaker immune system - but i caught covid and he didnt, and the only factor i can come up with is that we brought anti-bac mouthwash and i forgot to use it the last night of the con.

I want more bitter Elwing.
I dont actually hc her as unpleasant and bitter. I think shes a nice woman (she befriended the teleri quickly and she was a beloved ruler. Assholes dont do that). Idon't want her to suffer but I also dont think she let go of her bitterness easily.
She had to watch her first home be destroyed. She had to live knowing her brothers had died because of the Noldor. She had to live not only in fear of them, but also of Morgoth. She had to watch as they destroyed her second home. She had to choose death and leave her children who she might even have believed dead at that point because when did those fëanorians ever stop at killing children of my family? They did not. She had to jump.
And only one Vala came to her rescue. It was not enough, but she was with Earendil, right?
I think Elwing should be allowed to have a bitter dislike toward the Valar because only one did something to help when everything was already lost, and only when they were presented with something they lusted over did the others decide to intervene. The Valar lusted after the silmarils like the fëanorians. Why should they be any better just because they have more Might? Both had not moved a finger when her father's and her people had died.
