📍Tenaya Lake, Yosemite National Park. As we drove into the park on the Tioga Pass the ranger said, “Enjoy you time here, and don’t blow away!!”. We decided to stop at Tenaya Lake to stretch our legs, and even though it was super windy and choppy, it was still very beautiful. Tenaya Lake is the largest lake in Yosemite, and is sometimes referred to as “The Jewel of the High Country”. Took a trip up to @sequoiakingsnps this weekend for @james__knapp non-traditional bachelor party. Having never been, I was blown away. I've always been fascinated by trees and forests anyway but I've never seen anything like this. I think everyone can agree that the sound of a waterfall is relaxing and peaceful, right? Well, anyone who has hiked the Mist Trail up to Half Dome knows that it’s basically like StairMaster 5000 on slick stairs and uneven rocks the whole time. We hiked up to Half Dome for sunset, so that meant we had to hike down the whole way in the dark. With headlamps that had near-dead batteries, and constantly concentrating on not slipping down the stairs or tripping over rocks, the sound of Vernal Falls meant we only had 1 mile left until we could plop into our tent. And after completing Mt. Whitney less than 48hours prior, the sound of that waterfall was the most comforting and reassuring sound we’ve heard in a long time.
