i think he needs to understand his actions have consequences.

he basically held the entire astral world hostage for some time now, especially with the worsening lack of chaos problem killing everyone off. he also basically hurt astral over and over and over, yet astral does not seem to notice or acknowledge eliphas’ wrongdoings (maybe a program quirk eliphas made so astral won’t turn on him? astral is the astral world’s strongest duelist, he would not want this bioweapon child he created turning on him).

whatever it is, i think eliphas should at least be removed from his position as leader and go and look at the damage he’s done to the world he swore to protect. eliphas didn’t have bad intentions, but he fucked up. everyone does. so him getting away scot-free just left a really bad taste in my mouth. his one sacrifice for astral does not erase all the shit he put him through, as well as the rest of the world. the sacrifice itself felt very rushed too..

make him repair the world with the same hands that destroyed it.

What do you all think would be the most appropriate punishment for Eliphas?

#i think i make my distaste for eliphas very clear on here #i don’t think he’s an awful person deep down but his good intentions were carried out poorly #if zexal had more time i think we would’ve been able to flesh out the otherworldly cast more #they all suffered underdevelopment to some degree #but the astralians especially. which is especially frustrating when it was THEIR WORLD that was built up from the start #and yet we got nothing #THREE measly episodes not even fully dedicated to them but split with shark’s barian reveal #it makes me somewhat bitter towards the barians #though the barians also suffered since i’m sure everything was supposed to be more spaced out #ah well it’s been more than ten years. nothing we can do now #it’s just personally very frustrating for me since i wanted to know more about astral and his world and nothing ever really came out of it #a huge shame #anyway i’ll stop rambling in the tags. i just like tags more heehee #it’s fun yelling down here #rebonk’d
