ahoy there, friends! admin allie here coming at you with a fresh informtional guide about life here in sunny orlando (i say as i'm writing this from indiana and not florida). while we have definitey spent the majority of pre-buzz preaching to you that there is a lot more to orlando than just the theme parks (and as we have proven, there is) ... the theme parks are still an essential part of life in orlando. they are responsible for employing over 80,000 people and serve as a congregating place for tourists from all over the world. now for a little bit about me. i worked for the walt disney company from 2015 into 2016 as a part of the disney college program. during this time i had the privilege of working merchandise and attractions with this amazing company. i returned to disney for a secondary college program in 2017 during which time i returned to working attractions. i took a break from disney in the second half of 2017 and into 2018 and worked for universal where i worked for a period as an rip tour guide / vip tour guide / and with their guest services team. then i returned to disney in 2018 and worked in the resort side of disney before finally getting a fancy office job for disney working with the disney reservation center. i am no longer with either disney or universal, but i would like to imagine that my years of experience working for both theme parks pretty much makes me pretty knowledgeable on how things work as a cast member / team member. now it is important to mention that that everyones experiences with the theme parks is completely different. theme park work is not for everyone and my experiences are not my own and won't directly reflect those of another person. the opinions / facts expressed here are solely for use by members of euphoria, a jcink premium roleplay. they are not meant to bad mouth either of the companies in either way (though i will confess i am being brutally honest in expressing what to expect working for either of these companies). so without further adieu, an unofficial guide to working for walt disney world.

applying for a job with disney is exactly like applying for a job with any other company, you go online to their disney careers website and you apply for one of their vacant positions. plain and simple. all applications submitted to the disney careers portal are not viewed by a human, instead they are run through a complex machine that picks up key words within your resume to determine whether or not you are the ideal disney candidate. it is for this reason that it is important to have a resume with disney-sounding buzz words. usually you'll know if you've moved on to the next step of working for disney within an hour to two hours after applying, receiving an automated email requesting that you submit a survey to help disney learn more about your personality. this is your stereotypical pre-employment survey asking the same exact questions in thirty different ways to determine whether or not you have the disney personality. after submitting this survey, if you have moved onto the next step you will receive a request to interview. interviews are held at the walt disney world casting building across from disney springs in lake buena vista. i would honestly recommend googling the building (there are tons of pictures) because it is really cool looking, and you get this big goose bumps feeling as you walk inside the main atrium because everything spews disney. you will be interviewed by a disney recruiter that will ask you your standard interview questions. it is important to mention that unless you applied for a job that offers a hiring bonus (ie: transportation, housekeeping) the recruiter is interviewing you for all vacant positions within disney and not specifically what you applied for. you very well could have applied for an attractions position and during your interview, you could walk out with an offer to work custodial. where you get placed as a cast member all depends on what areas they need staffed specifically, and your ability to direct the interview. if you really want to work in attractions, it is your responsibility to steer the recruiter towards talking about attractions and why you are a good fit for that specific role. if the recruiter likes you they will offer you a job on the spot. disney is not the type of company to say "oh, well, we'll call you." if they want you, they hire you. if they don't like you, they'll give you some disney excuse and send you on your way. the recruiter will email you your official job offer listing your specific role and your location and will have you accept it while sitting in their office. then they will send you back out into the lobby to wait for another recruiter to call you over to schedule the next steps. the next steps following getting hired are onboarding and then traditions. onboarding is exactly what it sounds like, a member of the human resources team will verify your i9 information and start running your background check. another member of the team will sit down with you and advise you of the disney look which i will go into more detail on later. you will be educated on many different dos and don't about working within the company and then finally they will end the onboarding process by finger printing you and taking your photo for your blue ID. and then you're done. traditions is your first official paid day of work. it is an eight hour class held at disney university, a building located in the parking lot of backstage magic kingdom. cast members joke and affectionately call traditions "disney brain washing," but ... it's not entirely an exaggeration. the point of the class is to teach you company history and background, and also give you insights on the culture of the company that you'll be working for. the class ends with a surprise visit from your boss, the big cheese himself ... mickey mouse. he delivers you very first name tag and your facilitators will hand out both your blue IDs and your name tags and if you're a first time cast member you will 100% cry because this is very emotional. and from that point on, it is on to official training. some helpful hints: as long as you fit with the disney look and have the personality they are looking for, it is fairly easy to get hired with the company. roles consist of attractions, custodial, quick service food and beverage, full service food and beverage, guest relations, "entertainment," housekeeping, front desk & concierge, transportation, merchandise, and so many more. the roles that you cannot get an immediate hire for are those existing within the entertainment bubble as those typically require a formal audition or a secondary set of interviews. entertainment roles include; disney has a very high standard that they hold their cast members to, and they either meet these standards or are damn good at pretending like they do. there are some company cultural values that you are taught during the interview process, traditions, and in your work location that become a part of your day to day life. the disney look is a very strict set of appearance guidelines you must comply with in order to work for disney. if you want a really good read, you can find the full disney look book here. if you're like me and you don't want to read that, the tldr of it is : your hair must be of a natural color and not have any sort of an extreme style. mo hawks, faux hawks, extreme fades, undercuts, and anything of that nature are probably not allowed. disney does allow for dread locks, braids, or artificial hair (ie: wigs) as long as it is kept neat and can be pulled up and away from the face if needed. jewelery is limited to a watch and one ring on each hand, earrings can not exceed the size of a quarter, makeup must be conservative (and your manager will yell at you if you try to pull of a cat eye), and you cannot have visible tattoos. your tattoos either must be able to be hid beneath your costume, or you must wear long pants / thick tights / long sleeves to hide the tattoo. only one piercing is allowed on each ear and cast members are not permitted to display any other piercings while working (ie: nose , eyebrow , lip, etc). men must keep their facial hair conservative and neatly groomed. overly long beards / mustaches, and patchy uneven facial hair are not permitted. the four keys disney's service standards are built around "four keys," that are essentially the cast member bible. in order of importance those four keys are; safety, courtesy, show, and efficency. they beat these words into you during traditions, during training, and your managers will regularly remind them of them during your day to day work. as a cast member, you must know and embrace the four keys in order to survive. cast member behaviors; disney has some standards for certain behaviors that you must upkeep. they encourage cast members to eliminate words like hard "yes" and "no" from their vocabulary and instead encourage things like: certainly, absolutely, it would be my pleasure, or "i don't know but i will glady find out for you." there are exceptions to this rule, of course, namely when a mother has stuck ice cream sandwiches in her son's shoes to try and make him tall enough to ride splash mountain. then the cast member will definitely tell you "no, your son can not ride." cast members never point with one finger. directions are always provided by pointing with two fingers or with an open palm. and the disney scoop is another strange cast member behavior you'll witness, where they can scoop up trash / a dropped item without even breaking their pace while walking. cast members are trained to get to know you. they will often comment on small details about you to try and make conversation. if you're wearing a celebration button that disney provides, they will wish you a happy birthday, a happy anniversary, a happy graduation or whatever it is that you are celebrating. if your name is displayed on your button, they will call you by your first name. little kids are addressed as "princess" or "space ranger," and cast members will kneel down to their level to interact with them and will keep the biggest possible smile on their face. it is encouraged to make children feel just as acknowledged as the parents are, because disney is created for individuals of all ages. and finally, cast members are trained experts of de-escalation, well versed at all variations of yelling guests angry over the most obscure of things. if it starts raining, if her son couldn't ride splash mountain because he was a quarter of an inch too short (because the ice cream sandwiches melted) it is your fault and you should be ashamed of yourself. your prized posessions cast members have several "prized possessions" that they keep on them at all times. first, of course, is your blue ID. it is a blue piece of plastic displaying your name, your personel number (how you are identified within disney's internal portal), the god awful picture you took your second day with the company at onboarding, and your seniority date (essentially the date you were hired. as disney is unionized, this also determines how easy it is to get the schedule you want, etc). your blue ID is neccessary to gain access to back stage areas, to redeem free parking at the theme parks, and to access your cast member discount so you don't spend your entire paycheck on disney merchandise (just most of your paycheck). the second prized posession is your main entrance pass. another piece of plastic similar to the blue ID, this is essentially your gateway into the theme parks. cast members receive free admission into all of the disney theme parks worldwide (besides tokyo) most days out of the year, though they are subject to blockout dates. they also receive a select number of "guest passes," that they may use to admit friends into the parks ... also subject to black out dates. the point system disney has a very strict point system that cast members learn to work with while at disney. there are numerous things that you can get points for, but the easiest way to accumulate points is your attendance. to be perfectly clear you do not want points. so here is the simplest possible run down i can give to points.... if you're half a second late to your shift, you get half a point. if you forget to clock in from lunch / clock out, you get a point. if you call out, you get a point. three points in 30 days / 6 points in 90 days / 9 points in 180 days equals a reprimand. four reprimands equals immediate termination, though disney has the opportunity to terminate you before that point if your work performance isn't quite what they're looking for. to succeed as a cast member get . to . work . early and don't call out. also don't call out and go hang out in the parks, that is the #1 dumb way to get termed (disney lingo for "canned.")

after completing traditions you will officially begin training. the first few days after traditions, depending on your role, are also classroom training. the second day of official work is usually welcome to operations which is a six hour class that you will probably fall asleep four. the class is essentilly focusing upon teaching you those four keys that i mentioned earlier and how to live by them like it is your religion. you are also made to watch the safety in motion video, which is available for your viewing pleasure right here. while training programs are different for every role and location, your third day is typically orientation to your specific park / resort where you will learn the background, history, and theming to your work location. day three very often results in meeting with your official training and taking your first official trip to costuming where you will get your costume for your role. probably the second most exciting and rewarding day of training after traditions, though the disney costume sizes are so bizarre that they'll probably make you feel fat. you wear a size six in real life? well at disney you're a fourteen. from that point on, you'll typically have a week and a half to two weeks of in person training where you have a trainer to show you the ropes and teach you everything that you need to know to function in your job. training will end with an assessment which is two parts, a practical test where you have to show you can perform the functions of your job to a trainer. the second is a written test where you get quizzed on various safety procedures within your area and the work processes that go along with them. and then you can officially get to work.

Probably the best way to look at how each of TenantCloud’s functions work is to go through the natural process of how a new landlord-tenant relationship begins, starting with a new rental listing.
Rental Listings
The first step in finding a new tenant is to let the world know that your property is available for rent. The best way to do this is to pull all your property information together (pictures, description, property information, etc) and create a rental listing.
TenantCloud makes this really easy because every user gets a free property listing website (and they actually look pretty good)!
Aside from the beautiful property listings that can be created with this software, perhaps the best thing about these listings is that they will syndicate with several other BIG websites (including Apartments.com, Zillow, and Facebook Marketplace through Rentler), which will get your listings a lot of exposure very quickly.
Rentler is a sister company of TenantCloud. The idea behind this website is for tenants to create a user profile and set up a “wishlist” for the most ideal property they want to rent.
For example, if a tenant wants to live in a certain area, at a certain price point, and wants to move in by a certain date, with X number of bedrooms and X number of bathrooms, they can specify these things in their Rentler profile. When a landlord lists a property that matches these terms, both the tenant and the landlord will be automatically notified of the landlord/tenant that meets their criteria. The landlord can then invite the tenant to see their listing, and then the ball is in the tenant’s court to take the next step.
Note: Access to Rentler is only available with the paid plans with TenantCloud, not the free plan.
Application Processing
This is an extremely important piece of the puzzle of managing rental properties, especially with all the state-by-state variations in the laws, it’s important to have an application that can be tailored to fit the specifics of where your rentals are located.
Again, TenantCloud makes this very easy. When your application is created and ready for action, all you have to do is navigate to Applications and either click the “Invite to Apply” button (this will allow you to select the specific property and enter in the email address of the applicant, so they’ll receive an email invite) or you can click to “Add Application” button (this will allow you to create a new application from scratch and add all the information manually), for instance, if you already have a written application in front of you and you just need to input it into your system.
Also, keep in mind, when you create a new rental listing on your free TenantCloud listing site, you can also include a button directly on your listing where prospective tenants can click and apply from the listing itself.
You’ll also have the option of requiring an application fee from each prospective tenant at the time they apply (just make sure you adhere to your state laws).
Tenant Screening
When you’re requesting credit and background checks from your applicants, TenantCloud will always give you the option of requiring the applicant to pay for this, or you can pay for it yourself.
You’ll also have the option of requesting either a background check, a credit check, or a “full check” (which includes both the background and the credit check).
Once you enter in the information of who will pay for the reports and you submit it, the applicant will receive an email within seconds to complete the request. Once you have the reports, you’ll be able to review everything within your TenantCloud portal. Pretty simple!

Leases, Document Templates & Digital Signatures
As one might expect from a property management software that encompasses basically everything, you can also use TenantCloud to create leases and get them signed digitally.

If you’re on the Free plan, you’ll only be able to accept payments via credit card.
TenantCloud Mobile App
TenantCloud is one of the only property management software options that has a mobile app, and it can be used to do pretty much everything you would normally do in a web browser on your desktop or laptop.
This is a HUGE convenience because payments can be processed, applications can be completed, background checks can be done on the spot. If you’re giving a tenant a walkthrough of a property and they decide they want it, you don’t need to email them a pdf and wait days to get their information back. As long as both the landlord and the tenant have a mobile device, they can do it all right there!

TC Messenger
Why is this such an important part of using TenantCloud? Because it allows all parties involved to communicate without relying on email or texting. Search engines can bring consistent targeted traffic if leveraged well. Good content is a big factor in the SEO practices.
It’s the same with social media shares, backlinks, and more other factors. If you’re first hearing about SEO, then you really need to do your homework before even attempting to create SEO strategies for your business.

Cover Image: Have you ever heard about people who don’t even bother to look at the link mentioned somewhere in your profile? All they look at are two things. 1) Display Picture, 2) Cover Image. You better make a clean and superb cover image with your site’s URL on. Check out mine if you don’t believe me.
Website Link: You got to be kidding if you say that you haven’t added it yet. It’s the most appropriate and suitable chance to put your blog’s link out there on social media. Utilize it when Facebook is giving you a chance to do that.
Your Bio: This comes handy too. You have to write your small bio data in this section but you can sneakily end your bio with a certain call-to-action statement with a URL of your about page at the end.
18. Participate in Discussions
This is no technical thing.
You need to be a human, though.
Luckily, we all are.
The blog promotion doesn’t always mean that you’re shamelessly putting your links everywhere and spamming around the social media. Be advised, you’re there to build connections and develop long-term relationships with the audience. So, help people out with your suitable answers or valuable comments. Share what you’ve seen or learned.
Always tell them the truth. Make sure you’re jumping over to everyone’s Facebook wall to comment. You must know when someone writes on Facebook as a status or share (an article) with a note at the top, most of the times, he/she expects friends to check it out and give feedback. The idea of sharing is definitely based on being social with connected people and friends.
So, participate and tell them what you know or think. When you share some stunning that helps others, it always attracts people to talk to you or get connected with you.

19. Share Others’ Content
Now, most of the bloggers think that why they need to share others’ content when they have their own to share.
What they don’t see is that what lies in it.
Don’t be an introvert who doesn’t think outside the box.
In today’s social media world, the only legit way to earn respect and love is by giving respect and love. It’s my first-hand experience, though. When I was stuck around 700 Twitter followers and they were not increasing, the only thing I did was started giving value. I started sharing others’ content.
Did you know what happened afterward?
I crossed 900 followers mark now. And it’s growing.
This lesson of GIVING I learned from one of my favorite books ‘GIVE AND TAKE‘ written by Adam Grant.
Although, it was the only book that I bought so far (I want to be honest with you)…
But I started making a list of books to read after this one.
When I applied that lesson of GIVING into my twitter campaign, it really worked.
You know, a good way of getting connected with like-minded bloggers and to share their content is Triberr. You will find a number of bloggers and their articles to share. Always share to help, not to just share. You might not want to upset your Facebook friends and Twitter followers with bombarding their walls with your sharing.
20. Link to Relevant Content
You won’t believe this.
Linking to relevant content seems to be a promotional activity to promote others.
It is, actually.
But linking to the relevant and the most helpful content out there that could help your audience.
How?
Two reasons for that:
When the author (you’ve linked to) will find out about that, that person is likely to check out what did you write and how you have linked out. So, that earns you a visitor, plus, a chance to increase your one subscriber. Maybe, you make a connection there or reach out to a prospective customer. When readers find out that you have linked to a reference that talks like or authenticates your point, it makes you an authority in their eyes. In fact, if all that content does help the audience, you earn a lot of credit for that. Trust me, you do.
21. Repurpose Your Articles
One of the ways of promoting your blog is by repurposing your content.
Don’t be sad, please.
I’m here to explain.
The concept of content repurpose is that using the same great content you have worked on and turning into another form. It doesn’t have to be a cheeky or complex process.
Take  what you need and leave the rest.
The content marketers and brands are doing this.
You can convert a long article into an infographic, or maybe a YouTube video, or maybe a Slideshare deck.
The options are just incredible.
Imagine, your next article goes to YouTube, Pinterest, and Slideshare at the same time.
Would that effect the main article ranking?
Hell yeah.
What if your article doesn’t do well and the same infographic goes viral, then would you do the process again?
I’m sure you will think about repurposing the content.
Megan Marrs is certainly smarter than me. She wrote a whole article on content repurposing last year.
You can republish your articles on Linked Pulse and Medium as well.
22. Mention in YouTube Videos Description
If you’re a YouTube video maker (which you should), then you can add up your related articles links and even blog URL in the description. You must check default uploads settings on your YouTube channel.
The idea is, YouTube takes you in front of a newer audience. The chances are, most of your YouTube subscribers or first-time viewers are not your blog subscribers. So, they might come over to read your blog.
The mission is to promote your blog.
YouTube does the job.
In fact, YouTube recommended default uploads to the regular uploaders. If you’re not comfortable with those long and filthy links, then use the URL shortener like Bitly to do the job.
23. Leave Valuable Comments on Others’ blogs
This might interest many of you.
Be advised. Don’t be considered a spammer by leaving a comment like “Nice Article”…
Everybody knows what that means.
So, please don’t leave that type of short comments with your blog link.
Do you know what a comment can do for you?
It could earn you so much respect.
The comment is your chance to put your best views out there in front of many other people.
You don’t know who is going to read that!
A long time ago, when I first pitched a guest post to GrowMap blog, Gail Gardner accepted it saying that one of your guest posts has the comment from authority bloggers that she knows personally. At that point, I realized the importance of comments.
So, guys, always take care when you comment.
This happens when you put so much energy into it.
Energy means value here.
24. Describe Content While Sharing
If  you think sharing your article’s link on social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+ would do the job then you’re mistaken. It won’t.
Whether you have the rich snippet feature on your blog or not, something else needs to be done. People think adding a plugin that creates a rich snippet while sharing the content does the job. Well, a rich snippet might display an image with the article title but it doesn’t explain to your followers that what this article is all about.
This is the job that you have to do.
Similarly, Twitter has developed the Twitter Cards feature to deal with it. Schema is used for search results display improvement for your WordPress site. All these options help improve the user-experience through an explanation.
This tells us how important describing your content is.
So write a two or more lines along with your sharing on social media, so that people get an idea of what this content is all about. They don’t want to risk their next 15 minutes on your sharing. There is something else, it actually shows that you have read it and that’s why you know what inside it.
25. Utilize Live Streaming
One of hottest things on the internet in 2016 is live streaming. I have seen Darren Rowse utilizing the power of live streaming. In fact, many other experts do the same but as far as blog promotion is concerned he does it very well.
The best thing that Darren does, is a sort of on-demand blog promotion. People asks him the question and he answers them, whereas sometimes he answers and refers to check the previously posted content on his blogs.
You can use Facebook Live, Periscope, or YouNow for social live streaming.
I found live streaming as one of the best engagement and promotional ways on the internet.
There might be many other options to utilize such as YouTube live streaming or Snapchat these days but if you don’t understand the essence of sharing value, and rather target your blog post sharing then it’s not going to work.
Consider promotion a byproduct of the value you deliver.
26. Build a Community of Like-minded People
There is no better way of promoting your blog than building a community of people. The idea behind should be forming a community that contributes to each other rather than promoting our content. When we do that, we ultimately build connections that pay attention on whatever community members publish.
Aha-Now is a good example of forming a community of like-minded people.
A variety of bloggers have joined this community site and they share their content. Not only do they share but also try to read and comment on others’ blogs.
It could be a closed facebook group as well where like-minded people come together to discuss blog related things.
Once I pitched that idea to a couple of Facebook friends and they liked it but we couldn’t start it.
If you want to build a long-term relation with your blog audience, or, in fact, want to bring a new audience in, I would recommend establishing the community of that sort.

FAQs: EPF Withdrawal Due To Coronavirus
While the pandemic is on the rise, the government has made some changes in certain rules. These changes would help the citizens in facing this pandemic. One of the major changes that the government has made is in the EPF withdrawal rules.
We know that an employee can only withdraw from the EPF account after attaining the age of 54. But, while the EPFO was making these rules, they even added some exceptions to it. According to the exceptions, a person can withdraw money for medical needs and many more. These exceptions are clearly mentioned in the EPF Act.
The government has now added another rule to the EPF Act. According to the new rule, a person can withdraw the EPF amount during the time of the pandemic.
They can do so by selecting the “Outbreak of pandemic (COVID-19)” option. This rule applies to all employees. Moreover, the amount which the person will withdraw will be free from any kind of taxes.
But, people are in confusion and have tons of questions. To answer all these questions, the government decided to explain the whole rule in the form of FAQs. These FAQs were designed based on the most common questions related to the rule. It also consisted of the whole process. Here, the government has not only answered the questions but has even explained the rules.
But, before jumping into the FAQs, it is important to know the standard EPF withdrawal rules. It would help the person in knowing the exact process for EPF withdrawal. The new rule is like the previous rule but has some slight changes.
EPF FAQs For COVID-19
The recent changes in the EPF withdrawal rule have created confusion amongst the common people. To clear this confusion, EPFO issued a set of FAQs with answers. These FAQS will help you in understanding all the rules and regulations more simply.
1. The link ‘Know You UAN’ is not available on the unified portal. Is approaching the employer for this the only option?
If the ‘Know your UAN’ link is not available in the unified portal, you must follow the steps below. a. Visit the official website of the unified member portal. b. Enter your member ID, Aadhar card number or PAN. c. Now, enter your personal details like name and date of birth. Make sure that the details you are entering the match with your EPFO records. d. Now, select the “Get authorization pin” option. e. The website will send you a pin on your registered mobile number. f. Enter the pin in the dialogue box. After doing this, you would get your UAN on your registered mobile phone.
2. I have already applied advance for illness in March 2020, which is pending. I want to apply for an advance to fight the COVID pandemic now. What should I do?
Even if you have applied for an advance that is pending, you can apply for the COVI-19 advance. The government has allowed the employees to apply for the advance for the pandemic.
3. KYC updation needs approval by the employer by using his DSC. When the establishment is closed and there is no employer, who is to approve the same?
The EPFO has switched to the digital platform which has various benefits. Even if the establishment is closed and no employer is present, you can still update your KYC. The website will send a notification to the employer. The employer will approve it and then your KYC updating process will start.
4. For filing the claim, a copy of the cheque with the name of member or copy of the passbook is to be uploaded. Member does not have a name on his cheque leaf and it is now difficult to get it from the bank. Even going to the bank and getting an attested copy of the bank statement is not easy as banks are far away. What is the other option that can be made available?
As per the rules of EPFO, the employee must upload a cheque leaf which consists of his/her printed name. Another option is, the employee can upload the first page of the bank passbook or bank statement. Ensure that the passbook or bank statement should have name, account number and the IFSC code of the bank. This rule is important to check that the bank account details mentioned in the application matches the KYC details. It would avoid any kind of wrong payment.
5. I have left the service but have not yet availed the final PF withdrawal benefits. Can I still avail of the COVID advance?
Yes, you can still avail for the COVID advance as you have not yet withdrawn your PF funds. You are still a PF member, as you have not claimed the funds, and every PF member is eligible for the COVID advance.
6. My COVID claim has been rejected due to member details mismatch. How can I rectify this issue?
If your application is rejected due to details mismatch, you can update the details by visiting the e-sewa portal. Visit the website and then update the details after which you can file the claim again.
7. How can I file a COVID claim through the UMANG app?
For filing a COVID claim through the UMANG app, you need to follow the below steps.
a. Select the EPFO option in the UMANG app.
b. Now, select the “request for advance (COVID-19)” option.
c. After selecting the option, you have to enter your UAN details. Now you have to select the “Get OTP” option. You will receive the OTP on the phone number which is registered with UAN. Enter the OTP and login to your account.
d.After logging in, you have to provide the last 4 digits of your bank account. Now, from the drop-down menu, select the member ID. 
e. After doing this, click on the “proceed for claim” option.
f. In the form, enter your address and then click on “next”.
g. You have to upload an image of a cheque. Make sure that the cheque consists of your name and the bank account number. After filling all the details, the website will file your claim
8. I have a balance available in my account. How many times can I get an advance to fight COVID?
You can only apply for the COVID-19 advance once. Even if you have balance in your account, you cannot apply for the claim more than once.
9. What is the last date for applying for COVID advance?
You can apply for the COVID advance as long as the pandemic stays. This claim is available for all the employees and there is no last date for applying till now
10. I have two different UANs. The first UAN is linked with one PF member ID and the second is linked with 2 different member IDs. Can I avail COVID advance benefits? How to get maximum benefit in this case?
Yes, you can avail the COVID advance even in such conditions. But, if you need maximum benefits, you need to transfer all the previous member IDs to your latest member ID. It would help you in getting the most benefit during filing for a claim. For transferring all the member IDs to the latest ID, you need to file for a transfer claim. After the transfer is over, you would see your entire PF amount on the latest member ID. By using this member ID, you can file for an advance and get the most benefit out of it.
11. I have a balance of INR 100000 in my PF account and applied for INR 75000 advance for COVID. At the rate of 75%, I should get INR 75000. Why a much lesser amount has been credited to my account?
The reason why you got a lesser amount is that only 75% of the total amount is the limit. You would only get 75% of the total EPF amount for the COVID advance. Besides that, if your 75% of the amount is more than 3 months of basic salary, then you would only get the 3 months salary. Say, if your monthly salary is INR 20000, then you would only get INR 60,000 as an advance. But, if your monthly salary is INR 30,000 or more, then the advance you will get will only be INR 75,000.
12. How To File EPF COVID Claim? I am not able to file the COVID claim. Please help me.
Here is the simple way which would help you to file for the COVID advance.
a. First login to the member interface of the unified portal which is the official website of EPFO.
b. Now, select the “online services” option after which you need to click on “Claim” (Form-31,19,10C& 10D).
c. You would find a new page. Here you have to enter your bank account number. The website will verify the bank account number.
d. After verification, you would have to select the “Proceed for the claim” option.
e. From the drop-down menu, select the PF Advance (form 81) option.
f. Now, select the purpose of advance as Outbreak of pandemic (COVID-19).
g. In the dialogue box, enter the amount that you need and then upload a scanned copy of your cheque. Make sure that the cheque consists of your name and bank account number. After doing that, fill your address.
h. Select the “Get Aadhar OTP” option. The website will send an OTP to your registered phone number.I. Enter the OTP on the screen. Your claim will get submitted.
13. Why your toll-free number is not accessible?
Due to the ongoing situation, the contact services are down. All these services will resume in a short time. But, you can contact us through Facebook or Twitter. Our social media handle is “socialepfo.” You can even state your questions at epfigms.gov.in.
14. I work in a company in Jammu which was covered under the J&K PF Act. Since last year this company is covered under the Employees Provident Fund Act, 1952. Can I claim for fighting COVID pandemic?
Yes, you can claim for COVID advance as the company has registered under EPF act 1952 and you are a PF member.
15. I have applied for COVID epidemic advance. How to check the status of my claim?
You can check the status of your claim by visiting this site- https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/Login.
Here, you would see various options. Select the “Online Services” option. After that click on track claim status. Here you need to fill your UAN number or other details and then you can see the status of your claim.
16. I need to contact the EPF office through email or phone. Please provide me with the contact details of the EPF office.
For contacting the EPF office, you can visit the site- https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/Contact_us.php.
You would see a new page where you need to select the zonal office where your company is present. After doing that, click on the regional/district office. It would provide you with their contact details of the EPF office in which your company has registered.
17. I live in city A and work in city B. However, the head office of my company is in city C. Which EPF office has to be contacted for any matter?
In this case, you have to visit the EPF office where your company has registered itself. If you don’t know the EPF office where the company has registered, you can find it by visiting this site- https://unifiedportal-epfo.epfindia.gov.in/publicPortal/noauth/misReport/home/loadEstSearchHome?
a. Now follow the steps below to find the EPF office in which your company has registered.
b. After visiting the above website, you have to enter the PF code of the establishment. If you don’t know the PF code of the company, you can even enter the name of the company.
c. Enter the security code and then select the “search” option.
d. The details of the company will appear on the screen.
e. Now, you have to confirm the establishment ID of the company. After that, confirm the name and address as stated in the screen.
18. You claim to settle COVID advance claims within 72 hours? It is over 4 days when I applied. I have still not received the money in my bank account. Why?
As per the recent changes in the rules, the EPFO only takes 3 days to settle the claim. Within this time, the EPFO sends the cheque to the bank. Here, the bank takes around 2 to 3 days to credit the amount in the account. You would be able to get the advance in a day or two.
19. I have worked for two companies and working in the third one now. How to get PF accumulations of earlier companies transferred to present one so that I can file a claim for COVID advance?
You can transfer the amount from the previous PF account to your new account if all the details are same. You can apply for the transfer through online process. You have to visit the e-sewa portal and then apply for the transfer. Here, make sure that your UAN is linked with your Aadhar card.
20. Can You Apply For COVID-19 Advance If EPF Withdrawal Is Delayed?
As per the recent changes, a person can apply for a claim even if his/her previous claims are in pending conditions.
With the rise in the pandemic, the government is trying to help employees with financial support. due to this reason, it has made some changes in the EPF rules. Now, as per the new rules, anyone can apply for an advance from EPF due to the pandemic.
Even if your EPF withdrawal is pending, you can still apply for an advance. Select the “Outbreak of pandemic (COVID-19)” option for claiming an advance.
The approval for the COVID claim will take 3 days which is way faster than the normal withdrawal process. Moreover, the EPFO has conveyed all the PF holders to apply for a claim due to the pandemic. The EPFO has even clarified that even if an employee has a pending claim, he/she can apply for the COVID claim.
21. How EPFO Settles Tons Of Cases For COVID-19 Claims?
With the pandemic rising, people are in dire need of financial support. It is not easy for the people to bear the cost of the treatment and survive the lockdown without any job. To help the employees in some way, the government made changes in the EPF withdrawal rules.
It is well known that a person can only withdraw from the EPF account at the age of 55. An employee can withdraw some amount from the EPF account in case of emergencies. But, now the government has stated that any PF member can withdraw 75% of his/her PF amount as COVID advance. Even if an employee has not completed 5 years of service, he/she can withdraw money from the EPF account under the COVID emergency.
Till now, the government has settled around 140,000 EPF cases. Besides that, the COVID claim takes hardly 3 days to settle. It means that if you apply for COVID claim, the EPFO will complete the process in 3 days. It is possible due to the automation process that the EPFO is using.
After that, the bank will credit the amount in more 2-3 days. In simple language, you would get the amount within a week. Even if you are having any kind of pending claim, you can still apply for the COVID claim.
22. What are COVID-19 Tax Relaxations?
The government has even made some changes in the tax system of EPF withdrawal. If a person is withdrawing money from the EPF account before 5 years of service, then he/she has to pay tax on that amount. But, as per the new rules, there will be no taxes on the EPF withdrawal until the pandemic is over. Besides that, here are some changes that the government made on the tax system due to the pandemic.
TDS/TCS Rate Reduction
a. As per the new rules, there will be a reduction of 25% on the existing tax rates. This reduction is made for non-salary payments received by the residents.
b. The payment for certain transactions like commission and brokerage is eligible for a reduction in TDS rates. This reduction will be applicable until the end of the financial year of 2020
c. The rate for tax for any kind of receipts is also reduced to 25%With the reduction in TDS and TCS, there will be a relaxation on the liquidity. The TDS on mutual funds, dividend interest, and may more mentioned under Section 194A is reduced to 7.5%. Earlier this tax rate was 10%e. The TDS on e-commerce, payment for immovable property is reduced from 1% to 0.75%
23. What are Extension Of Due Dates?
a. The due date for all income tax returns for the financial year 2019-2020 is extended to November 30. Before, it was from July 31 % October 31.
b. The audit date for tax is now extended from September 30 to October 31.
c. The date for assessments which are getting barred on September 30, is now rescheduled to December 31. The ones getting barred on March 31, 2021, is not rescheduled to end of September 2021.
24. I have only worked for 3 years in a company. Can I apply for withdrawal for COVID advance?
Yes, you can apply for COVID advance even if you have worked for less than 5 years. The scheme is available for all PF members.
25. Do I have to pay taxes if I withdraw money from the EPF account?
No. The EPFO has stated that nobody has to pay taxes for withdrawing money from the EPF account during the pandemic.
26. I am working in a company which is stated as exempt. Will I be able to apply for withdrawal during the pandemic?
Yes, even if your company is exempted from EPFO, you can still apply for a withdrawal from the PF account of your company.
27. How much will I get if I claim for the COVID advance?
As per the rules of EPFO, if you are applying for a COVID advance, then you will either get 75% of the total amount in your EPF account or 3 months of equal salary. The EPFO will see the amount which is lesser and will credit it to your account.
28. I am a self-employed person but I do have a PPF account. Can I file for a claim for COVID advance? How much amount will I get?
If you are having a PPF account, then you can file for a COVID advance. As you are self-employed and do not have any fix salary, you would get 75% of the amount in your EPF account
29. How much time will it take for the EPFO to accept my claim?
Due to the pandemic, the EPFO is accepting claims within 3 days. Within 3 days, the EPFO will verify and accept your claim for advance and then send the cheque to the bank. The bank will take around 2 to 3 days to credit the amount in your account.
30. How To Withdraw Money From EPF Account?

There is a certain process that an employee needs to follow for claiming a withdrawal. Below is the detailed process which would help you to withdraw money from your EPF account.The first step is to visit the e-sewa portal where all the EPF related work happens. The website is https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface
First you have to log in to the portal. You can do so by using your UAN. Enter the UAN, password and the security code.After successfully logging into the portal, click on the option, “Online Services.” After that, select the “Claim (Form 31,19,10C & 10D).”The “claim” option will take you to a new webpage.
In this webpage, you have to enter your bank account number which is present in the UAN account.
Click on “verify.” The portal will verify whether both the bank account details match or not.
After the verification is over, you have to agree to the terms and conditions of the EPFONow, click on the “Proceed for online claim” option on the new page.
You would be able to see a drop-down menu with certain situations. Select the emergency, for which you are withdrawing money from the EPF account. The drop-down menu will only consist of options for which you are eligible.
After selecting the option, you have to provide your complete address in the blank space. Moreover, you also have to state the amount required and upload a scanned copy of the cheque.
After uploading the required documents, select the “Get Aadhar OTP”.Now, you will get an OTP in the registered mobile number.

f. If the employee has not made any claim for exemption, then only the employee’s part will be free from tax.
g. The tax on the withdrawal amount will solely depend on the current income slab of the employee’s. The tax on the withdrawal amount will be applied to the year of withdrawal. 37. What Is The Withdrawal Procedure From EPF Account After Retirement?
An employee after his/her retirement has to claim the EPF money from the EPFO. But, there are some rules that the employee needs to keep in mind. These rules will help the employee in knowing when to withdraw the money after retirement. a. The employee has to claim fort the EPF amount when he/she reaches the age of 58. The EPFO made this rule while forming the EPF Act.
