Last time I'm addressing this.

Velvetvexations is saying I "framed" her misgendering me

She screenshotted my post, on my desktop blog where "it/its" is in my title. My pronouns are in my title and have been since I started this blog.

But yeah she screenshotted my post where she mocks me and an anon about being misgendered by her.

She is clearly doing the "they" thing on purpose to mock us for being misgendered. "I wasn't referring to them I mean her I mean it!" It's my post, you were mocking me. And even if that were true, your whole thing is still mocking people over caring about being misgendered. I have never they/themed velvetvexations once. I have always used she/her and if someone told me those were wrong I'd just say cool and change what I'm doing.

I started using it pronouns sometime the beginning of the year and no one noticed cuz my pronouns were it/she. Then people kept not using them so I revoked she/her pronouns. I have been using it pronouns since Velvet first tried to harass me in the summer and since then I revoked the she pronouns, but keeps trying to refer back to an old pinned post (that yes, still exists on my blog) that I kept around while drafting another. All Velvet had to do when an anon showed up to say "hey Mordred's pronouns are it" was just say cool and change the pronoun useage. And yet.

Yeah! I'd say this is a fit! I get anons all the fucking time harassing me on Velvet's benefit and if I ignore them I keep getting them and when I go look at what she's saying and respond she acts like I'm harassing her when she won't shut her fucking mouth and go away (frankly, I wouldn't even be surprised if the anons are her considering the fucking erection she has for me). Velvet harasses trans women en mass, I have to blacklist her fucking url just so I dont have to fucking see her on my dash trying to be transphobic to trans women. I can't even pop over to a friend's blog without seeing her in their asks or responding to their posts being a transphobic shit. I am fucking surrounded by Velvetvexations and her harassment.

I was? transmasc but recently I’ve been seeing a lot of really misogynistic sexist transphobic stuff from trans community and it’s just been totally accepted, even by other transmascs. It’s been going on for a while but recently there was a murder of a nonbinary afab person and yet the whole trans community here has been silent, instead screaming about a transfem user being banned or something? This isn’t the first time an afab trans persons suffering has been dismissed, but now right after this awful death, i see transfems making posts about how transmascs talking about their oppression are terfs.

I didn’t want to think about it but all i could think about was that it was weird how despite everyone claiming trans men have all this privilege, trans women always come first…they get the most representation, they get the fame the admiration and the opportunities, their voices are always the loudest and their problems always always come first no matter what.

But despite popular belief trans men’s issues aren’t actually less significant, in some cases we suffer far more than trans women especially in regard to sexual violence. Yet we are silenced. We are frequently left poor, we are discriminated against for our sex we are discriminated against for being trans we are discriminated against for being perceived as lesbians. Yet we are made to be silent?

Why are our voices less important than trans women’s?

And all I could think about was that this is how females are treated in every other area.

I don’t know what else to say… I tried so hard not to reach that conclusion because I don’t want to be transmysogynist but I kept coming back to it and I couldn’t find an argument against it. This is how females are treated. This is what male privilege look like. And if trans women have male privilege, then why the fuck am I sitting here letting them talk over me?

I just feel really really angry. Your a blog who I liked your art but I blocked you when I discovered you were a radfem, but I sort of had you in the back of my mind for some reason and now I feel lost and confused, and I don’t think I want to be part of the trans community anymore.

Secondly, holy shit, you're right. While the entire website is treating this user's ban as a national travesty, I haven't seen a single person talking about Nex's murder despite how much they claim to care about trans people. That's really fucking low, and this situation does very much encapsulate the state of misogyny within the trans community.

And you're right, this IS how females are treated in every other area. Throughout history, the suffering and injustice women face is minimized, laughed at, ignored, and when we want to talk about it, we're shut down and told we're making people uncomfortable and our pain isn't that bad. And here we are again, with a female person's death outweighed by a male person's inconvenience.

The denial of sex-based oppression that permeates trans spaces is a blatant lie that can only be held together if nobody is allowed to acknowledge it, and those who do are punished. If the trans community truly stood behind what they say, discussion would be encouraged! The foundation of their movement would be backed up with facts and replicable science! But instead, they'll call you a bigot for pointing out systems of oppression you can see with your own eyes. Because if you do, transwomen's position as Most Oppressed, and therefore the final authority on what's right and wrong, collapses. You are correct when you say that it seems like transwomen always come first; I don't remember who said it first, but just look at magazine covers featuring trans people -- the transwomen are fully clothed CEOs, athletes, movie stars, but transmen mostly get on magazine covers for... being pregnant and half naked. Misogyny is built into every society on earth, and individuals simply calling themselves something else doesn't change that. And when you give male people free reign to be as misogynistic as they want without consequence, they'll grab that opportunity and hold on like their lives depend on it. The way they weaponize transmen's sex against them is indistinguishable from what 'cis' men do to 'cis' women, but if you ever speak out about it, somehow YOU'RE the one hurting THEM. They do not want transmascs to find solidarity with other female people, because then they would have to face the reality of their own place in a patriarchal world, and face the fact that there are experiences exclusive to female people and that we have the right to speak about it. I mean you see shit like this and the motives become completely transparent:

I do find it funny how hard the trans community and their allies work to prevent anyone from hearing what radfems have to say in case they "corrupt" you with mere words. A lot of the time, it's simply listening to transwomen themselves that sparks the feeling of "something's not right here" in your brain. That's what happened with me too. I'll tell you that most of us also used to be proponents of trans activism, many formerly identifying as trans too. You are seeing through manipulation, and I know it's quite shocking to realize. Even when I first started having doubts about trans rhetoric, I thought "well everyone else agrees about this, so I need to shut up and be nice about it even if I don't agree." It's an unpleasant place to be in. The cognitive dissonance is exhausting though, and it becomes impossible to ignore.

The mistreatment of transmasc people in the trans community by transfems is brutal, and It's hard to watch from the outside because I just want to say "Hey, you know you don't have to take this shit, right?" And you really don't. You are not at all a bad person for recognizing the frankly absurd amount of misogyny in the trans community. Feeling lost and confused is shitty, but it's normal for this situation. The best thing you can do is keep observing, keep reading, form your own opinions, and never let anyone tell you to shut up. Above all, prioritize yourself and your mental wellbeing. If you need to remove yourself from gender-related spaces and discussion for a while, that's totally alright. Just know you're not evil or a bigot for not blindly agreeing with everything the trans community has told you. Your opinions and experiences are worthwhile too.

Appreciate the concern, but not to worry: terfs get about as much of my attention as a bit of dogshit on my shoe. I am the first anon who posted about misandry. Thank you for your answer, I understand better why you posted this banner.

I just want to make a distinction between what I'd call feminist misandry and TERF misandry.

My friends are the farthest you can imagine from TERF (a lot of them are even trans). They are misandric because a lot have suffered from cis-men. For them, misandry is a protective instinct: if you meet a group of cis-men, be careful.

They hate cis-men as an oppressive group. They don't take a essentialistic view of masculinity, but a sociological one. Men are a group of power, that can abuse it, and they will protect each other. And of course, they don't include trans women in it. (A lot of the feel waaaaay safer with trans women than cis men).

That has nothing to do with TERFs, who use misandry to say "trans women are oppressors" or "trans women are essentially men"

Anyway, I understand the desire to piss off terfs and radfems. But I'd be sad if the word "misandry" was appropriated by them.

genuinely don't understand why people are so deadset on identifying themselves as bigots who think 50% of humanity is out to get them. like, being against the patriarchy means you're a feminist or anti-sexist or ideally just a normal person but idk how many people agree. irrational hatred of men is not the same as wanting to knock the patriarchy down, all it does is just: be irrational hatred against men. when there's discussions like this, it also verges on "trans men aren't real men" territory because for some people, they are the exception. until they go on T and dress in a masculine way, then they're too cis man-like to participate in queer spaces (dunno how common it is, but it does happen!)

english isn't my first language, nor have I grown up in an american culture, so I wonder if it's my use of the word misandry that sets people off? like, is that a loaded word? because the definition of misandry is simply "hatred against men". it doesn't mean you feel uncomfortable with men or are scared of them, it means you hate men. my terf+transphobe blocklist

Every terf I've found. For your blocking pleasure! Under the cut

Oh fuck there's a terf in my notes! What can I do? 1. Flag on shinigami eyes browser extension. You've probably heard of this, but it's free, available on desktop. Also available on firefox mobile I think. Has been used to improperly flag people before. Trust but verify. 2. Look through "Blogs like this one" to break the reblog chains and effectively block a whole circle of them. You could also just look through who they're reblogging from. 3. Have a quick scroll for any posts that are reportable. This takes a lot more time than the other steps, but if enough people report them, and if you're reporting something that breaks tumblr's guidelines, then their account could get taken down. Win. 4. Lastly, block. OR Block first and save yourself the psychic damage. If you're on mobile, you could block first and go back later on desktop, finding them in your blocked tumblrs list, to do the rest. Do not interact! Do not send anons! Don't even give them that. Just flag, report, block, move on. Movements don't go anywhere in silence.

Please know that there aren't actually that many of them. I've noticed from going through so many, and from how they interact in my notes... I don't want to say too much because I'm starting to feel like someone's going to read this eventually. But it can be pretty clear that they have multiple accounts. Some of them are making this their full-time jobs. Just sitting on the computer and finding trans people to bully. It's pathetic and sad. If you block all of them, they just... stop existing. Because it's a small group of people. But they do make new accounts once too many people have blocked them, every... 3-9 months? Or, I imagine, once they start to notice that the site feels empty to them and they've been blocked by too many people? It's easy to block enough of them, but I do recommend setting aside some time to do this. I also recommend taking care of your mental health afterwards. When I encounter a block list from someone else, I always check out the blog before blocking, because tools like these can be used against us as well. Shinigami eyes has been used to incorrectly mark trans people before. Trust but verify. No tool is perfect. So I'm assuming you're going to check some of these blogs out too, because that's what I would do. Set some time aside to take care of yourself afterwards please. Love you.

The way I do it uses desktop and your phone at the same time. Or 2 tabs on desktop. The second part is to reference the usernames or look them up. Click on your own profile picture icon and on the right hand side of the screen should be this:

Click on "blog settings" at the bottom. You'll be brought to a new screen, where you'll scroll all the way to the bottom, and see this:

Click on the writing thing there and then you'll finally see your block list:

It wasn't until Falena was 19 that he noticed a bit of a rift. They started getting closer, then when Falena was 21 he was coronated and got married to his betrothed as his father fell ill.

Hello! Sorry to bother you but I am just tired and I've seen some of your cool posts and I need to put this somewhere.

I think this website is the most insufferable place whenever it tries talking about women and misogyny. I am so tired. It's either "men are oppressed #notallmen #misogynyisntthatbad" or some of the most unwell TERF takes on earth.

I saw a post a mutual reblogged making fun of someone saying some bullshit about how asking for sources is useless because all science is peer reviewed by misogynistic men, and like while that's obviously very stupid people in the comment were denying misogyny in peer review could even be a thing. When I pointed out that yes it is a thing and women being a minority in science makes it worse my mutual blocked me.

I got anon hate saying I am a "stupid misandrist" because I said under a post that patriarchy oppresses women (not an exaggeration it was THAT tame). I got anon hate saying I am a "baby" and a "child" (I'm an adult) and that "I don't understand the world anyway" because I said the constant flow of posts only caring about men and saying women should never express frustration about being oppressed was hurtful.

I cannot take it anymore. I am so exhausted of this misogyny repackaged in progressive language. I cannot take the hundreds of posts with thousands of notes with a rebranded not all men rhetoric. Marginalized men aren't oppressed for being men but for being marginalized. Women are oppressed by men. It's not gender essentialist to say that it's just how it is structurally and I'm sick of feeling like I'm talking to people from the 1970s here but with a coat of gay veneer.

Like, it's not just your imagination, there literally is no feminist movement nowadays, and it's depressing.

saw this on a terf's page when I went to block them and couldn't help but notice the "white" descriptor here, as if all trans women and fems are white. it's so common to see people yelling about their performative politics with shit like "this entire group of transgender people is white" (when many of them aren't) meanwhile they don't actually care enough about people of color to not use their oppression as a bludgeon against people they don't like

be wary of this argument. love people of color more than you hate bigots, because you will become one if you don't care who you're lashing out at so long as you get to lash out. stuff like this harms trans people of color the most. the image here is from a terf, but it's an attitude that's way too common within the trans community too, partially because of radical feminist politics seeping in but also just because of the unchecked biases. basically, think critically about racism just like you do any other bigotry (and if you don't think critically about any bigotry, start!) because your ignorance can and often is used as a weapon against the very people you claim to be defending
