thinking about verses again; today feat modern verse! which, note on this; maintains the general regions/loose history of teyvat. i haven’t decided yet re: visions but that’s for future cedar to sort out. and also with this, tighnari is still valuka shuna, and xiao isn’t quite human, but the adeptal powers will be minimized down a bit. think modern fantasy by default. also mostly centered around a university set up… mostly because of who i am as a person.
kaeya; i like to think about grad student kaeya. he’s fueled by coffee, spite, and a furious desire to prove himself. his main area of study would be refugee/immigration law, with a minor focus on khaenri’ahn history. he works part time in the library with lisa, and part time at a community law clinic. and of course has his fair share of extra curricular activities for resume purposes. not tied to any specific portrayals and able to shift with who i’m writing with; connections he’d have as a default: best friends with rosaria and lisa, fairly close with jean, some kind of complicated past with diluc (though likely not as… dramatic lol), familiar with albedo and noelle. lives by himself in an apartment near campus that he spends as little time in as possible. likely in his mid-late twenties.
tighnari; still has his ears and tails because i said so. recent phd graduate, assistant professor. lives a little way from campus - will take a longer commute to live somewhere suitably quiet - and closer to the forest. only comes to campus maybe two days a week, maintains a garden and spends days not on campus in the forest conducting research and furthering conservation efforts. thinking that there still may be an iteration of the withering for him to be focused on - which would potentially also lead to him having a vision. much to think about. as for relationships; still closest with cyno, meets up with him/kaveh/alhaitham at least once a week, and collei is a student he tutored earlier in his university career and sort of took under his wing forever. i could see her living with him potentially as well. his main area of study is botany and ecology, but he has a decent base in medicine also. in his late twenties.
kaveh; established architect! still completely terrible with money so he still lives with alhaitham and works odd jobs. He does work for the university theater department on prop building and design, and does commissions for the university in addition to teaching some classes. also fueled by coffee, spite, and a furious desire to prove himself. his is closest to his canon set up. living with alhaitham, likely friends with nilou via the theater, and friendly with cyno and tighnari. early thirties.
xiao; still has stupidly long life span. maybe something akin to a demon or ghost hunter to fit with modern fantasy. would still maintain loyalty to zhongli. a bit chronically online in a search for intel on demons/spirits to exorcise. his is the most up in the air still while i try to decide balance between canon and modernization. i still see him having ties to venti and the other adepti as well as aether/lumine.
childe; grad student studying poli sci and business. know. one of Those Guys. way too much money, exchange student. works a frankly horrifying number of jobs, but just does not actually show up 90% of the time. unfortunately he’s terrifyingly capable and efficient so he can generally get everything he needs to done and fix a week’s worth of problems in one shift, so nowhere can quite bring themselves to fire him. he also has the tendency to just charm his way through things. big fancy apartment. possible frat bro but like in the same way he treats his jobs. single handedly funding every snezhnayan restaurant in town. still really good with kids, and his younger siblings sometimes come to visit and stay with him. connections would be scary who… probably hates him. zhongli, no one quite knows what’s going on there but it definitely isn’t heterosexual, the other harbingers in some capacity. living with yoimiya and/or generally besties with her.

gentle, fleeting, free, adoring, just wondering what life would be like as lovers in a normal world
a/n: self-indulgent bc nyc is a place i adore very much and i'm convinced that in my future life i belong there with my future lover xx (also title stolen from an old work of mine that was with seulgi instead)

Would we be happier in another normal life?
Mina sighs happily as she finishes up the New York Times mini crossword. She’s been on a roll with these ever since you landed, even sending you a screenshot during her Boucheron event.
You’re just about to slip out of bed to grab bagels from across the street when she suddenly whines, grabbing your arm and pulling you back with a pout.
“Needy,” you tease, sinking back into the sheets.
She scoffs, rolling her eyes playfully. “Funny coming from you. Don’t you remember last night?”
“You mean a couple of hours ago?” you reply, grinning. “I don’t think I was the needy one—you’ve left a number on me,” you say, pointing to the faint red marks on your neck.
Mina’s cheeks flush pink as she fumbles for a defense. "Well, it’s your fault," she mutters. "You sent me that picture while I was at the event."
You laugh softly. "It was literally just a good night selfie."
She groans, burying her face in the pillow. "You were in your robe, looking all cozy and good! What did you expect?"
You grin, leaning closer. "So, you admit it—you were the needy one after all."
Mina peeks out from the pillow, her cheeks flushed as she grins mischievously. “Fine, maybe I was,” she admits, her voice low and teasing. “It’s hard to control myself when my girl always looks this good.”
Her words send a rush through you, and before you can think, your lips are on hers. The kiss starts soft, but her fingers are already tangled in your hair, pulling you closer. The warmth of her mouth deepens the kiss, and soon, everything else fades away as you melt into her.
She shifts beneath you, tugging you on top of her as the kiss becomes more intense, her hands roaming over your back, making it hard to focus on anything but her touch.
When you finally pull away, breathless, your foreheads rest together, a grin spreading across your face. “I guess the bagels can wait.”
Mina laughs softly, her fingers brushing your cheek. “Definitely worth waiting for.”
~~~
After breakfast, the two of you wandered over to Bryant Park, sipping coffee beneath the trees, watching the city hum with life.
You spent the next hour window shopping along Fifth Avenue, admiring the elegant displays without any pressure to buy. There was only so much you could bring back home, but Mina’s eyes sparkled at every storefront, and you found yourself more captivated by her excitement than anything in the windows.
Now, you’re strolling through Central Park, hand in hand, the noise of the city fading away as you walk the winding paths. The soft rustle of leaves and distant laughter blend into the air as Mina leans into you, her arm wrapped around yours.
“So, you still want to head to DUMBO for the bridge view, right?” you ask, glancing at Mina over your sunglasses.
Her face lights up instantly. “Yes! Let’s call a taxi,” she says, already reaching for her phone.
“No way! Let’s do this right—let’s take the subway. The real New York experience.”
Mina hesitates, her excitement shifting to uncertainty as she raises an eyebrow. “The subway?” she repeats, a little unsure.
You give her hand a reassuring squeeze, so excited for the trip. “Yes! Trust me, it’ll be fun.”
She lets out a soft sigh, still unconvinced, but seeing the sparkle in your eyes, she can’t help but smile. “Fine,” she agrees, stepping closer. Her arm wraps around your waist, fingers lingering on your hip. “But only because you seem so into it,” she murmurs, pressing herself against your side, her warmth seeping into you.
You chuckle, your hand sliding to her lower back, pulling her in even tighter. “I promise, you won’t regret it.” You lean in, brushing a light kiss against her cheek.
~~~
The subway car sways gently as it rumbles along, packed with commuters and tourists. You and Mina are squeezed together in a corner, her warmth pressed against your side. Around you, the chaos of the subway unfolds: someone is doing chin-ups on the railing, drawing a few amused glances, while others are asleep in their seats or lost in music blaring from their speakers.
Mina leans in closer, her voice a whisper. “They’re staring at us.”
You glance up and muffle a laugh. “That’s because you’re staring at them, baby. Your sunglasses are see-through.”
Her cheeks flush with a hint of embarrassment as she quickly looks away, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “Shit! I didn’t mean to,” she hushes.
You give another glance at the two people across from you and something catches your eye. You squint and notice keychains with photocards. And that’s… Nayeon’s face?
"Onces…" you whisper to yourself, holding on to Mina’s hand tighter.
Just before you can tell Mina that they’re fans, she gasps and points at the window of the doors. You smile, enchanted by her reaction. She’s so cute as she admires the view of the city through the subway doors, as you pass over the Brooklyn Bridge. The contrast from the underground darkness to the stunning sunset hovering over the skyline is breathtaking.
"Baby, look! It’s beautiful!" She exclaims, hand over her mouth as she shakes you a little.
You sigh and nod, pushing your worries away. "It’s very pretty."
~~~
Later, you find yourselves sitting on a bench at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the quiet hum of the city settling around you like a soft blanket. The lights from the skyscrapers flicker in the distance, casting reflections on the calm waters.
Mina sits close, but you can sense something’s off. She’s fidgeting with her hands, her fingers twisting together in a nervous rhythm. You glance at her, about to ask what’s on her mind, but before you can speak, she breaks the silence.
“Do you think we’d be happier in another life? A normal one?”
You frown, confused. “What?”
She hesitates for a second, looking down at her hands before continuing. “I just… I wonder what it’d be like to live a normal life. Not an idol. No eyes on us all the time.” Her voice softens, tinged with a sadness you rarely hear. “I knew those people in the subway recognized me. I could see it in their faces. And I saw how you tensed up, too.”
You shift uncomfortably, realizing she had noticed your own worry.
She sighs, her gaze drifting out over the city. “I just wonder if things would be easier, better, without the spotlight. Without everyone always watching.”
You stay quiet for a moment, letting her words sink in as the city hums in the background. The weight of what she’s feeling lingers between you, heavy and familiar. You reach over and gently take her fidgeting hands in yours, giving them a soft squeeze.
“Mina,” you say quietly, your voice steady, “I know it’s hard. Sometimes it feels like the whole world is watching. But I don’t think another life would make us happier.”
She turns her head slightly, her eyes searching yours, but you continue before she can say anything.
“You’ve worked so hard to get where you are, and yeah, it comes with all this pressure, but it also brought so much joy. To you, to your fans, and to me.” You offer her a small smile. “You’re not just an idol. You’re you. And even though people recognize you, that doesn’t mean you can’t find peace or moments like this.”
Her expression softens, though the hint of doubt still lingers in her eyes.
“I know it’s not easy,” you continue, brushing a thumb across her hand, “but I wouldn’t trade this life with you for anything.”
Mina blinks, her eyes glassy as she bites her lip. She leans in, resting her head on your shoulder, her breath steadying. “I don’t know what I’d do without you,” she whispers.
“You’ll never have to find out,” you reply, pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head. “We’ve got each other. And no matter what, we’ll find our own kind of normal.”
I love you so much.
Mina squeezes your hand back, her fidgeting finally stopping as the tension melts away.
After a few more moments of peace, you nudge her gently. “Pizza?”
She lifts her head, blinking up at you before a small laugh escapes her lips. “Yeah,” she says softly, a smile finally breaking through. “Pizza sounds perfect.”
“And we’re definitely trying pineapple on it this time,” you add with a grin.
She scrunches her nose, groaning playfully. “Ugh, yuck… Fine, baby. But only because it’s you.”
"Yes! NYC baby!"
ricky 리키
lets you play with his hair
i think ricky is honestly extremely particular with his hair, and especially who gets to touch it
his hair isn’t very visibly damaged despite getting it dyed frequently / basically not having black hair since he was probably fifteen years old (and he’s nineteen now, so that says something) so he has to take good care of it not to have it fried off
there were stories about him during bopeul where they said they always saw him fully ready with perfectly styled hair whenever he left his room, too
like i’m not even kidding he has to care for his hair a whole lot or by now he could’ve been bald i’m sorry
when his friends—mainly gyuvin—try to play with his hair or comb their fingers through it, ricky allows it but is not that pleased because he put effort into styling his hair and doesn’t want it to get messed up
gyuvin jokingly whines a little, but is over it after a few seconds
when ricky started dating you, although he thoroughly knew you and almost all of your habits and mannerisms, he didn’t think you would be into playing with his hair
you’re hanging out, watching a movie at your apartment while your head is rested on his shoulder when he feels your fingers suddenly brush through the strands of his hair
he turns to look at you, partly shocked but also just wondering what you’re planning on doing to his hair
you shrug your shoulders, keeping your eyes on the tv and not minding him one bit
“what are you doing?” he asks, a little amused
he expects you to reply playfully, to exchange banter or something like that
but instead, you say, “your hair is really soft, you know,” as you proceed to curl a portion with your finger acting as the curling iron
ricky quite literally folded that day... now he lets you do whatever you want with his hair
you can braid it, curl it, whatever
he doesn’t mind as long as it’s you, even if he spent nearly an hour fixing it this morning
you’re in a cafe talking to gyuvin and gunwook, sitting at the other side of the table when you lift your arm to twirl ricky’s hair, him not remotely flinching at the contact
gyuvin is pleasantly surprised to witness this sight
“you don’t let me do that,” he sulks, aimed at ricky
your boyfriend scoffs. “you’re not [name].”
gyuvin 규빈
always texts you + makes sure you’ve eaten
okay i think i’ve seen a lot of people say this already idk but i think it’s soooo true
gyuvin texts you excessively
like. about anything
there was one instance when his little brother had a crush on a girl, and gyuvin literally went to you for help and his brother didn’t even have an inkling of what was happening
gyuvin (DO NOT REPLY): [NAME] MY LITTLE BROTHER... is... growing up :(
gyuvin (DO NOT REPLY): he used to be so small i could put him in my pocket and now
yn: what happened???
gyuvin (DO NOT REPLY): he LIKES A GIRL. who told him it was okay to get a girlfriend? at his toddler age??
yn: gyuvin i love you but we started dating when We were his age
and then he continued to ask you for advice on how to help his brother get the girl he liked
there’s more instances of him oversharing his brother’s life with you, but that ends there
he also buys you snacks all the time
even if you don’t want it. even if you verbally, very clearly, straightforwardly tell him you’re not the tiniest bit hungry
he’s basically your mother oml
he makes those little snack baggies for you to take
before you both graduated, gyuvin would bring you lunch. it didn’t just stop at snacks
he would ask his mom to help him cook for you
and he’d make it all cute and stuff like shaping the rice to be your favorite character
he’d pack it to school and give it to you in the morning. omg
mixing those two things together, you get “have you eaten yet” texts all the time
it’s two pm, and you were so stuck while helping a friend that you regrettably forgot to eat lunch. ‘it’s okay,’ you assure yourself, ‘i had a late breakfast’
gyuvin texts you, asking the usual “have you eaten lunch????” and you lie and say yes
and then your phone rings and you know you can’t avoid it anymore because he can see through your voice when you lie
from the speaker of your phone, gyuvin’s voice is unbelievably attractive—but you choose to ignore that fact for now
“[name],” he deadpans. “be honest. have you eaten?”
choosing to accept defeat, you exhale deeply. “no.”
gyuvin suddenly hangs up and only a text is left on your screen
gyuvin (DO NOT REPLY): i’m coming over in. like 30 minutes i have to ask my mom to help me cook
gunwook 건욱
teaches you how to dance
gunwook is SO good at dancing it’s so crazy
i love watching him on stage because he’s the best performer ever. like he seems to genuinely enjoy it and i hope he never loses that love for dancing / singing / rapping
you on the other hand..... you could be good at dancing too, just definitely not as good as gunwook
so whenever your scheduled dates are interrupted by his extracurriculars at school, you decide to tag along with him, if the members of his clubs don’t mind (which they usually don’t)
one of his extracurriculars is the dance team
and most of the time, when your preplanned dates are cancelled because of an extracurricular he has lined up for him, it is almost always dance
so you end up following him to the practice room, silently watching him in the corner so as to not obstruct their view of the mirror by sitting directly in front of them
his eyes light up with the flame of passion you adore so much, and you’re so content that even if your date is cancelled because of this, you’re not annoyed and you still get to indirectly spend some time with him by spectating him as he does what he likes
in the short breaks that he gets, he takes the opportunity to sit beside you on the floor and ask about your day
when the practice session ends, he asks if it’s okay with you if he stays to polish up the routine, to which you say yes and offer to stay with him because everyone else has started to leave
after a while, he grows tired and plops down next to you
gunwook chuckles. “i’m sorry for cancelling our date and making you stay with me.”
“it’s alright, i like watching you dance.” you smile
he abruptly stiffens up, irises reflecting the light, making his eyes glow excitedly. “do i dance well? what do you think?”
you giggle. “you dance very well. a lot better than i can, for sure.”
“mhm, yeah?” he grins widely, and you know what he’s going to do
gunwook jumps up on his feet, extending his hand out to you to help you get up
“you just need a little help.” he nods proudly. “you’re lucky i’m your boyfriend.”
you take his hand, and he leads you to the center of the room and he starts to dance with you ballroom style (???) like the waltz and stuff
he guides your arms over his shoulder to circle his neck, and his hands rest on your waist and then he starts counting, “4... 3... 2... 1... like this,” as he takes a singular step in different directions, encouraging you to mirror his movements
you almost trip, but you tightly cling on to his shoulders before you can fall
gunwook laughs. “enough dancing for today?”
“yes, please,” you agree, letting your body fall forwards into a hug with him
“alright. if you’re not that tired, are you still up for that date?”
yujin 유진
(tries to) initiate / enjoys physical touch
yujin doesn’t seem like his love language is physical touch.... i know gyuvin does it a lot to him and he kinda pretends to not like it but it’s so endearing and i sooo believe he deep down loves it
it’s the same with you, but he’s the one intiating it
he never thought he liked skinship all that much, because he would even jokingly say it pestered him a little at times when gyuvin would dote on him
but when it came to you, and when you first started dating, he was itching to hold your hand
it was so new to him because he never craved for anyone’s physical affection before
all his older friends like gyuvin and gunwook would always just.... initiate skinship for him and he thought he didn’t like it but
suddenly you come along, and you don’t even try to hold his hand
he thought couples were supposed to hold hands?? and hug??
but you’re not budging and it’s so frustrating
while walking you home from school like usual, as you tell him about your day, he tries to gather the courage to intertwine your hands
it doesn’t work, and he’s left with cold hands as he stares at you enter your front door
“next time,” he whispers to no one but the wind
next time comes and still... he’s too nervous to hold your hand
the distance between your palms is less than four inches, and all he has to do is take the leap—besides, nothing could go that wrong. you like him and he likes you
he purposely bumps the back of his hand with yours, but doesn’t actually take your hand in his
he awkwardly rubs his nape, unsure of what to do now
your brows knit together, as you’re now aware of yujin’s weird behavior
“yujin?” you tug on his uniform sleeve. “is something wrong?”
“no! nothing’s wrong,” he quickly denies, “don’t worry about it.”
“okay... can i see your hand, though?” you request, and it successfully confuses him because why do you want to see his hand?
he obliges, giving it to you palm up when you lace your fingers with his
“i’ve noticed you trying to hold my hand since last week,” you say, giggling. “i was waiting for you to do it, but i guess you’re too shy.”
“i’m not that shy,” yujin defends, looking down at your interlocked hands... ‘this is a good feeling,’ he thinks
you nod passively. “it’s fine. it’s one of the reasons why i like you.” you swing both your hands back and forth in the space between you
yujin doesn’t try to retort, only relishing the feeling of your hand in his
skinship isn’t so bad... maybe he could get used to this.
hello!!!
I was wondering if you could do a dadzawa x student! Reader who starves themselves and says they’re not hungry because they don’t really feel hungry at all if you get what I mean(s3 ep42)
So basically they js head off to bed once they get to the camp instead of eating and stuff and he’s concerned for their well being and yeahh. Sorry I’m not a really good explainer but I’d really appreciate it if you do this request it would mean a lot to me considering I am a person who sometimes unintentionally starves themselves
Anyways I hope you have a good rest of your day/night, and thank you once again!!
I totally get this. Due to my middle school experience, I went from having breakfast at around 7:00-7:30 am with lunch at around 11:00 am to breakfast at 6:30 am an lunch at 1:00 pm. This was horrible for me because I would sit in class with my stomach growling before lunch. It made me develop horrible eating habits, so I get it. Anyways, onto the story.
Aizawa x Student Reader (Platonic): Eating Habits
You and your class had just walked out of the forest after having spent hours making your way to the campsite, dodging and fighting Pixie-Bob’s earth monsters
Despite all this, you still weren’t hungry, you didn’t plan on eating and were planning to just take a bath and go to sleep
When Aizawa told you guys to grab your bags off the bus and put them away before heading to dinner, you grabbed your bag with everyone else and headed inside
You went into your shared room and set your bag down in your spot. You began to unpack, rolling out your bedding, getting it all made up
As everyone left to go eat, you decided to clean up and take a shower to get rid of the dirt from the day
Aizawa has always been observant, so he definitely had noticed how you rarely went to lunch to eat, you’d either nap, play games, or do your own thing in the classroom
There had been times he’d seen you eating your homemade lunch in the classroom away from others, so he assumed that you had an issue with eating around other people
When he didn’t see you eating among his other students, he assumed you were too shy to get food or perhaps too tired
So he went to find you and make sure you got food in you
When he found you and told you where the cafeteria was and to go eat, he was surprised and concerned to hear that you didn’t plan on eating and planned instead to take a bath and go to bed
Aizawa wasn’t so keen on this plan of yours
He asked you why, to which you replied that you weren’t hungry. He told you that that’s not good enough of a reason
He then gave you a lecture about how the body needs food especially with the training you’re going to be doing
He thinks that there may be more to this and hopes that the reader doesn’t have some kind of eating disorder
He decides to go get the reader a small plate of food and bring it to them
Once he does, he tells them that he wants to see them eat what’s on the plate and then he’ll let them sleep after that
Aizawa isn’t one to budge from this so you eat the food. Upon seeing you slightly struggle he decides to sit down and try to talk to you
As you talk to him, he asks if there’s a reason why you have a hard time eating
You tell him you’re just not hungry
He asks if you’re bulimic or anorexic or have some kind of underlying issue that has caused this
Seeing where his thoughts were going you quickly and throughly reassured him that you just have a hard time eating when you aren’t hungry
Throughout the camp, Aizawa makes sure to keep an eye on you and lets you take a break to eat whenever you do get hungry
He may be strict, but his number one priority is to make sure his students are taken care of
Pairing: Logan Sargeant x fem!driver!reader
Warnings: cursing???
Authors note: a written fic??? Ewwww if it’s bad don’t read it pls guys. Guys pls. Not proofread cuz I didn’t feel like it. It is 2 am.
Summary: You had just grabbed a random shirt off the floor of Logan’s room, you didn’t know it was his
———————————————————
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Excuse me,” Your hand comes up to push lightly against the Williams drivers back as you try your best to slide past him in the tight hallway and also not interrupt the conversation he's having with his engineer.
You actually weren't supposed to be in the Williams garage at all, your own team several rooms down and probably looking for you by now, hence the need to not make a scene in the middle of Logan Sargeants garage.
Because of your haste, you don't notice the blondes eyes following you as you dart out into the pit lane, Ferrari red racesuit hanging off your hips. You don’t notice the way his eyes trail across your skin and skim over your hair, landing on the white shirt clutched in your hand.
He knew the shirt well, it having been thrown onto the floor of his room just a few hours earlier. Confusion spreads across his face as he wonders what you could possibly need with one of his Williams t-shirts.
You, on the other hand, had no idea you had grabbed his shirt. The two of you had both coincidentally worn white shirts to the paddock that day and in your haste to exit the Williams garage after retrieving your shirt, you must’ve grabbed Logan’s instead. But you’re still none the wiser to the switch-up as you toss the shirt into your room before navigating your way back into the Ferrari garage as smoothly as possible.
Several engineers glance curiously at you, face red and breathe slightly heavier than usual. All you do is grin as someone places your helmet in your hands. The grin only increases when your teammate walks into view.
“Where have you been?” Charles rushes out, tone hushed and eyes darting around to see if anyone was eavesdropping.
You try and hold back your laugh at the stressed look on Charles’ face, “What do you mean?”
He narrows his eyes at your amusement before rolling them and crossing his arms across the black fireproof he was wearing, “Everyone’s been looking for you, didn’t know your pre-race ritual was to scare the shit out of everyone by disappearing.”
“I didn’t disappear, you knew where i was,” you point out, moving to go and zip up the race suit from its place on your hips.
Charles sighs and rolls his eyes again, annoyance clear in his stance, “Yeah, which also means I had to cover for you for the better part of an hour. The worst part is that I don’t even get any good gossip from it since you won’t tell me who it is you’re seeing.”
You laugh and start to move to where your engineers who are stood waiting for you to stop talking and actually lock in, “Where’s the fun in that?”
Charles just rolls his eyes but a smile does break out on his face as he slides out of your side of the garage to go back to his own, sliding his race suit up as he does.
You hadn’t told Charles about your non-relationship with Logan. He had accidentally found out after you had tried to sneak back into your drivers room before a race and he had found you, tousled hair and hickeys galore. But it’s not as if there was much to tell, you and Logan weren’t actually dating. You were moreso friends with benefits. If friends and benefits actually acted like a couple behind closed doors and spent most of their time together without acting on any “benefits”.
You had just told Charles you were meeting someone to which he replied “no shit” and that’s all he got to know. But he did tell you that you looked happier and he was fine not knowing who it was as long as he knew they made you happy.
Before you know it, you’re out on the track, six cars lined up in front of you. P7, not bad for only being your second season but you knew you should be higher up. Especially in a Ferrari. Your hands tense as the red lights start to tick and your foot’s on the gas the moment they flick green.
Lights out and away we go.
“Let’s go!” Your shouts echo through the radio as you cross the finish line to the checkered flag. P3, a podium finish. Just behind the familiar red of your teammates Ferarri and an expected amount behind the navy blue of Max’s Red Bull.
You park your car and weigh in before running to your team, all lined up at the barrier to great you and Charles after the double podium.
You had had podiums before but this one felt extra special since Qatar had always been such a difficult race for not only you, but everyone on the grid. One of the reasons Qatar was so hard was the best and as you embraced your team, you definitely felt it. You step back as a wave of nausea overcomes you and you unzip the racesuit, pulling your helmet off as quickly as possible right after.
As Charles finally comes up to you with a grin on his face, it falters slightly as he sees the state you're in, “You alright?”
You nod quickly, you truly were fine. Its just that any more time in the suit and long sleeves might make you not fine pretty quickly, “Yeah, I'm cool. I need to change shirts at least before interviews or I might pass out.”
Charles nods at your statement, turning to tell the team, who all have curious looks on their face, your words as you jog lightly back to your room, grabbing the first shirt you see and sliding off your fireproofs. You hold the shirt tightly as you jog back out, taking a second to let the air hit your hot skin.
As you reach your team, someone ushers you toward an interviewer and you pull the shirt over your head, placing a hat on your head that you don't remember being handed. The interviewer chuckles as you look up, microphone now in hand. You don't question it as your probably look a little strange in your random Ferarri shirt and hat, suit hanging low once again.
“Hi y/n, i have to say that was a wonderful drive today, p7 to p3. You managed to stick through the heat and overtake into third past the mclarens and a red bull. Now, ill ask you about the race in a second but first, I do have to ask about the shirt,” the interviewer seems to be hiding her laugh as she gesture towards your chest and you glance down at it.
Instead of the usual red and yellow colour scheme you'd see on your shirts, you're instead met with the blues of the Williams logo. You gape wordlessly as you stare at the shirt, a blush coming up to blend with your already heat-flushed cheeks.
“Some support for the double Williams points today?” the interviewer seems to sense your disbelief as she cuts in to help your find your words.
You nod slightly before double-taking to think about her words, “Double points? Where'd they finish.”
You don't think about about how you've one hundred percent blown the explanation she was trying to give for the shirt but you don't care, only worried about where Logan and Alex finished.
“Albon P6 and Sargeant P9,” the interviewer states after turning to check with someone behind her.
You light up at her words, “Before any penalties?”
The interviewer nods and you grin, “Let’s fucking go, Captain America representing the 305.”
The interviewer just nods, probably having no clue in the world what any part of your sentence meant. Eventually, you get back on track and start to talk about your race but, by now, that’s not the part of the interview that anyone will be talking about.
“Yeah I think it was a good race overall, really the only weakness of that Red Bull is the heat so we tried our best to take advantage of that. It did work for one of the drivers but, I mean, nothing we could do about max haha.”
“Thank you so much y/n and great race,” the interviewer smiles as you hand the microphone back to her, stepping back slightly to start to go back out to your team, “I’ll see you back here next time.”
You laugh, “hopefully! Have a great weekend.”
You walk away from the interviewer, thoughts on the podium ceremony ahead of you. As you exit the media pen and someone starts to usher you away for the ceremony, your eyes catch on a certain blond man in a white shirt and a Williams race suit. You pull away from the man guiding you who protests but you walk quickly to where Logan’s standing, patting him on the back as you walk up to his interview.
Maybe the Qatar heat had melted your brain but you truly didn’t put together how quickly people would connect you and Logan if you walked up to him with a shirt from his team on it and inserted yourself into his personal bubble.
As Logan turns toward you, you realize that that part didn’t matter since Logan was practically advertising your little relationship to the world himself. The heat must’ve gotten to him as well since he was also missing his fireproofs. Instead, he was wearing a white t-shirt that would’ve been pretty oversized on you but fit him fine. In the middle of the shirt was a giant Ferrari logo emblazoned across the chest.
You stare blankly at the shirt for a second, blinking absently before turning your gaze to the camera and then glancing back to Logan.
“Nice shirt,” you mutter, a slight smirk gracing your lips as you glance between him and the shirt.
“Thanks, you too,” he tries his best to hide his laugh, “In my defense, I only put this on after I saw you wear yours.”
You hum, unamused, as he wraps an arm around your shoulder, your eyes locked forward onto the camera and arms crossed over your chest.
You can’t help the blush that forms over your cheeks though, having cooled off from the heat but now the red was back in full force, displaying your embarrassment for all to see.
Logan has zero embarrassment about the situation though, a proud grin adorning his face. This combined with the points finish might’ve made for his favorite race of all two seasons he’d been on the grid.
You glance over and see someone gesturing for you to leave the interview and go up for the podium celebration. You lean away from the microphone in Logan’s hand as you slide out of his grasp.
“See you later, yeah?” You ask the man in front of you, walking backwards out of the frame of the camera.
“Yeah, yeah,” Logan replies, pulling the microphone away from his mouth to respond, “I’ll see you after, congrats.”
You’d already turned around when the congratulations had left his mouth but you grin widely after he says it, turning your head to throw a quick peace sign in his general direction. You hear him laugh slightly as you quickly rush to follow the impatient employee that had been waiting for you.
The podium is exactly how you expected it to be. The only downside being that you’ve not gotten champagne all over Logan’s shirt and more than a couple Ferrari employees weren’t thrilled about you wearing another team’s merch on a podium. You couldn’t have cared less.
Once you’ve gotten down from the podium, bottle of champagne in hand, you’re met with a certain Miami native waiting for you. You laugh and skip over to where he’s standing, a grin on his face as he watches you approach.
“Here,” you raise the champagne bottle as you reach toward his face, “open your mouth.”
Logan laughs but bends his knees slightly to be below the bottle and closes his eyes while you pour the liquid in his open mouth. You laugh as he shoots straight up to swallow the alcohol, wiping a hand over his mouth.
“Mmm, good,” Logan hums slightly, taking another swig of the bottle before handing it back to you, you taking a swig right after him.
“Yeah?” You ask, licking the leftover champagne off your lips.
Logan just nods in response, a grin settled on his features. After a few seconds he pulls you in for a hug, “Congrats by the way, amazing drive.”
You pull back from him and your eyes close slightly from the strength of your smile, “And you! P9! I’m so proud of you!”
Logan’s cheeks go slightly red but he takes another sip from the bottle, “p7 actually, Pierre and Daniel got penalties.”
“P7! Even better! Gonna be challenging me for podiums soon,” you exclaim and Logan laughs, glancing away from you as he does.
You notice a slight shift in Logan’s demeanor but you don’t have a chance to say anything before Logan’s piping up, “Do you wanna go to dinner with me? As a celebration?”
“Like a date?” You blushed, eyes locked on Logan’s wandering ones, currently looking at anything but you.
Logan fumbles over his words for a moment, hand coming up to run through his hair, “Y-yeah I mean, if you don’t want to, we can just get dinner as friends I don’t really mind.”
The only response you have is to pull the driver down by his neck, your lips meeting in a slow kiss. The taste of champagne spreads between you and the Qatar heat simply aids to the blush covering both of your cheeks. You only pull away at the sound of a yell and you glance away to see Charles stood, champagne in hand, cheering loudly.
You laugh and look back toward Logan, ignoring your teammate for a moment, “I would love to go on a date with you, Logan.”
Logan smiles softly at your response, reaching up to brush a strand of hair behind your ear, “Great, I’ll text you.”
late night rambles
art donaldson x reader
Tumblr media
The alarm blinked, casting a soft red glow across the room: 3:00 AM. You and Art were wide awake, tangled in the kind of conversation that only comes at impossible hours of the night, when the world feels like it’s theirs alone. The air was thick with summer warmth, the windows cracked open just enough to let in the distant hum of crickets. They were sprawled out on the floor of Art’s bedroom, tennis rackets leaning haphazardly against the wall—relics of a day spent practicing under the sun.
“I’m not even tired,” Art mused, his voice low but clear, breaking the comfortable silence. “Hard to be in your company. You make me feel... I don’t know, energised.” He chuckled, nervously running his fingers through his messy curls. “Is that cringey? That’s cringey, right?”
You laughed softly, rolling onto their side to face him. “A little. But it’s okay. I’ll allow it.”
They’d been friends for seven years—since that first summer at tennis camp when they were just kids, bonded over their shared love for the game and a mutual disdain for the camp’s cafeteria food. Now, at 17, everything was the same, yet different. The conversations were still effortless, but beneath the surface was something heavier, unspoken. A shift they both felt but neither would dare mention.
Art glanced sideways, watching the way you absentmindedly fiddled with a thread on the hem of your shirt, your eyes focused somewhere between the floor and the stars you couldn’t see. “Remember when we’d stay up this late, just talking about which player we’d want to be? I always picked Federer. You were obsessed with Sharapova.” He grinned.
“I still am. She’s a queen,” You replied, your smile stretching wide, though your voice carried a teasing edge.
There was a pause, one that wasn’t uncomfortable, but loaded with memories. Art shifted his weight, propping himself up on one elbow. “You know,” he began, suddenly serious, “I don’t think I’ve ever said this, but... you’re my favorite person.”
You felt a warmth rise in your chest, like a balloon inflating slowly, filling the space between them. You wanted to say something back, something witty, or maybe something just as sentimental. But instead, you swallowed it down and rolled your eyes. “Okay, now that’s definitely cringey.”
Art laughed, but it was softer this time, a bit more vulnerable. “Maybe,” he admitted, “but it’s true.”
You could feel the weight of the moment settling around them, the unspoken confessions tucked away in the spaces between their words. For all the ease they had with each other, there was a new kind of tension, a nervous energy that felt both thrilling and terrifying. Like standing on the edge of something they weren’t quite ready to name.
“So... what happens when we grow up?” You asked, breaking the silence.
Art blinked, caught off guard by the question. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, what happens when tennis isn’t the thing holding us together anymore? When life gets in the way? I don’t know, I guess I’m just wondering if this—” You gestured between each other, “—stays the same.”
Art hesitated, the question sinking in. He sat up fully now, legs crossed in front of him. “I think we’ll always have this,” he said quietly. “Maybe it’ll change, but I think it’ll be... better. Like, deeper or something. You know?”
You nodded slowly, your heart beating just a little faster. You weren’t sure if they believed him, but you wanted to. So, so badly.
“Besides,” Art added with a grin, trying to lighten the mood, “if nothing else, I’ll just stalk you at every tennis match. You’ll be winning Wimbledon and I’ll be in the crowd, holding a You Go Sharapova 2.0 sign.”
You laughed, the tension breaking for a moment. “Yeah, and I’ll pretend I don’t know you.”
“Rude,” Art teased, but there was a glint in his eyes that hadn’t been there before. Something raw and real, a quiet hope that maybe things didn’t have to change as much as they feared.
The alarm blinked again: 3:15 AM. Time kept moving forward, but for them, it felt like they were suspended in something timeless. Neither was ready to say goodnight, not yet. Instead, they basked in their contentment.
love sick — 05. it’s all cliché and full of obvious red flags
romance 101; guideline #18 — before anything else, to love someone is to love yourself first.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the squeak of the ball hitting the ground and shoes sliding across the vinyl flooring were the sounds you heard as you spent the past hour or so watching grown men consistently smashing a ball. you were one to play your roles well but you did not find that much of an interest in sports in general. you understood why people enjoyed them but it never really became your “thing”. as you watch your quote-en-quote boyfriend on the court, you’re beginning to see the appeal.
you had eyes, it was no wonder why so many people fell for suna rintarou if you only consider his physical attributes from afar. maybe it was his gaze? It was the kind that lures you in, he doesn’t look particularly interested most of the time, perhaps that was why people get a kick when he reacts differently. people have their preferences so you wouldn’t put it past them to be attracted to suna’s kind, those who make you want to learn more about them because of how reserved they are.
you look at your phone to check the time, it is 1:30 pm, their practice was supposed to end early. “early” because they began at around 6 in the morning, you could never even imagine running in the morning.
you sighed, it wasn’t like being in the gymnasium was that bad. your friends, atsumu and kageyama were here too since they were part of the team but other than that you were a total loner. sure, there are some other people here with business you don’t know of and some just there to watch and you could probably approach one of them to get some company… but that meant you had to further the conversation, you usually do have a lot of things to say but that’s exactly the problem.
your mind wanders to a conversation you had with a person the other day instead, their name was… hayami? yeah, it was hayami. she wanted to approach you about this certain situation she was in. her friend of four years confessed to her and she didn’t know what to do because she didn’t know if she liked him back in that way. throughout the years she’s had several “what-ifs” about liking this friend but it was never really a strong emotion. now that he’s confessed to her, she doesn’t know how to properly respond and she ended up running away from him. she's afraid he thinks she hates him now.
the first thing you told her was that it was okay to feel confused because she didn’t have to name a proper emotion for it right now, being “sure” of liking someone can take time. you advised her to tell him that she needs time to think first so he isn’t left hanging and that whatever she decides what to do, he should be able to understand. hayami voiced out her worries that she didn’t want to hurt his feelings because of how much she treasured their friendship. you replied by stating that not saying and telling what she meant from the beginning could hurt her and him more in the long run.
“head in the clouds?” a voice you’ve recently become used to reach your ears. you jerk your head back only to see suna in front of you, a towel slung over his shoulder.
“are you done?” your shoulders resigned from the previous bit of shock at his presence, you really were too lost in your thoughts.
“yeah, i’ll just get some things from the changing room,” he said, you nodded while your eyes drifted behind him. atsumu was wiggling his eyebrows at you and you resisted the urge to grimace.
“i’ll go with you,” you exclaim, sick and tired of sitting on the bench.
“didn’t know [name] the sweetheart was such a perv,” suna raised a brow at you.
“excuse you?” you asked, confused.
“i’m going to change,” suna deadpanned, “if you wanted to watch i’d let you.”
you shook your head, at a loss for words for once in your life, “that was obviously not what i meant, but i’ve already had my hands on you, right?” you smile, recalling yesterday when you bombarded him with a hug acting like a girlfriend who missed her boyfriend very very much. your mind was then brought back to your cupcakes which were unapologetically ruined, you mourn your hours of hard work, “so what’s a little sight-seeing?” you continue to tease, standing up.
now you’ve made him speechless, he thought he could win? hah not as long as you still have your wits about you.
“nice to know you think i’m such a view, i’d assume you enjoyed yourself for the past few hours then?” suna started walking before you could retort, you were left to follow him with a small smile on your face due to amusement.
on your way to the lockers, you saw kageyama still practicing, he really could not catch a break, wasn’t practice over? meanwhile, atsumu was making grand gestures towards you and suna, and you wished you had something to throw at him. unfortunately for you and fortunate for him, you only brought your phone out with you today (you had no classes, okay, you initially planned to catch up on some reading today, ann liang’s this time it’s real—which was coincidentally about fake dating as well—was waiting for you at home).
“hey, what were you going to give me today?” you finally ask, you didn’t get to properly talk about it with him since he was busy training. you were leaning on the wall next to the entrance of their changing rooms, he was the only one in there so it was fine to act casual.
it took a minute or two before suna finally came out, duffel bag over his shoulder where the towel once was and cloth scrunched in his hands. said cloth was then tossed to you, you almost dropped it since your reflexes aren’t that quick.
“my extra jersey, wear it on the game this sat,” suna said casually as he watched you hold his jersey up, the number 7 plastered on it, the name suna on the back. how many times have you read and watched main characters in books and films cheer for their significant other while wearing their jerseys? now you are going to partake in that sports romance trope, how funny reality can be!
“oh is that all? what else do we do for today?” your head tilts to the side.
“i heard there’s an event in the campus grounds today, i was thinking we could go there since there would be a lot of people,” suna urged you to start walking and follow him with a simple nudge of his head.
“alright, i’ll warn you now though i didn’t bring any money,” you said with a skip in your step, still clutching the shirt since you don’t have anywhere to leave it in, “can you put this in your bag first, though?”
“who said you were paying?” he said casually while taking his jersey and placing it in his bag for a second.
you froze for a moment, “could you stop acting like a k-drama male lead?”
this made suna chuckle, he chuckled, you don’t think you’ve even seen the man smile, “you caught on quickly, huh? osamu’s been recommending me shows so that i could ‘learn by example’ whatever that means.”
right, you keep forgetting the suna is in the same friend group as atsumu and his brother, you know there’s this other guy in the group too named omiomi something? atsumu wouldn’t shut up about him. you’ve met osamu briefly before but you wouldn’t say that you were properly acquainted with him, you do see him a lot on campus because you get startled by how much him and atsumu look alike.
“i’m a matchmaker, i’m clearly well-versed in all forms of romantic media,” you say in a ‘duh’ tone.
“you can carry us then, acting romantic isn’t for me,” suna shrugged.
“no, you have to do your part,” you insist, as you step out of the gymnasium.
“what you want me to hold your hand or something?”
“that would be a good start,” you say, holding your hand out to him. he stares at it as if it’s some unknown species, and then he wordlessly extends his hand to intertwine with yours.
Sleepovers at either Charlie’s or your apartment were pretty common. With the two of you living on opposite sides of the city, all it took was a movie night ending too late or a drink too many in someone’s system to get one of you to announce that a sleepover was in order.
(It was to prevent either of you from having to travel home in the middle of the night, and absolutely not because you both wanted an excuse to spend more time together.)
The night started as most nights did, with you popping over to Charlie’s place for dinner. What surprised you, though, was that instead of your usual takeout, he had decided to chef it up in the kitchen.
“Whoa,” you said when you arrived, inviting yourself in and dropping off the snacks you had bought on the kitchen counter. “So, this is why you didn’t want to grab snacks with me today.”
“I had a lot of ingredients I had to use up,” he replies nonchalantly, giving you a one shoulder shrug. “Thought a change in our routine couldn’t hurt.”
You raise an eyebrow at him, leaning against the dining table while he sets the food down. You try to ignore how pinpricks shoot up your arm when he brushes against your arm.
“Is this how our friendship has devolved? You’re throwing your leftovers at me?”
Charlie nearly trips on the way back to the table with two wine glasses in hand. You double over laughing, and thus fail to catch the way the tips of his ears turn red.
“I’m joking, I’m joking.”
You spend dinner catching up with each other’s weeks, with a few jokes thrown in courtesy of Charlie attempting to serve wine as professionally as he can. It contributes to the slightly romantic atmosphere of the dinner, but you choose not to acknowledge it.
After dinner, you force Charlie out of the kitchen so that you could clean up (it was the least you could do to repay his romantic well-prepared dinner). It’s a few minutes later that you join him in the living room for the official start to your movie night.
Usually, you sit side by side on the couch, not too close and not too far from each other. But the couch feels a little small today as you’re forced to share one blanket (“Sorry, the other one’s in the washer.” “What, did you piss on it? Little piss boy?” “Fuck off.”).
Charlie fidgets throughout the first movie, but you don’t mind it. When the second film starts playing, he moves one arm to rest on the couch behind your head. The hand that rests next to your next starts fidgeting with your hair, making the flesh of your neck goosebump when his fingers get close.
You distract yourself from his antics by stuffing your face with crisps. You were close friends who were comfortable being physically close to each other. You hugged all the time. You spent a lot of time together.
You try to convince yourself that it wasn’t that deep.
Several hours later, it was to no one’s surprise that, when you finished watching the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film, Charlie announced that it was too late for you to Uber back home.
“Dude, I can’t believe it’s already 3 am,” he comments as he gets up to throw the empty crisp packets.
“Is it?” you ask between yawns, stretching out over the cushions he had previously occupied. Your eyes are halfway closing when he comes back to unceremoniously yank the blanket off you.
“What the hell!” you yell at him, throwing a pillow at him in hopes to wipe off the cheeky grin from his face.
The pillow didn’t deter him from coming closer, prompting you to pick up another pillow to smack him with. However, he catches you off-guard by snatching the pillow from you. You reflexively tighten your grip on the pillow, causing you to stumble right into Charlie.
Stunned, you look up at him, his wide-eyed gaze meeting yours.
“Hi,” you mumble awkwardly.
“Hi,” he replies, a mischievous grin lighting his face up.
Charlie lightly shoves you away from himself, bending to grab the first pillow you had thrown at him. With a declaration of war, he chases you around the coffee table, the movie credits still rolling on the TV screen providing some dramatic background music.
You feel your inner child light up inside you as you evade Charlie’s grasp, letting out cheerful yelps despite it being the middle of the night and you might get noise complaints. However, caught up in the gleefulness of your mini tag game, you trip on the edge of the coffee table and send yourself hurtling into the couch.
“Holy shi- ”
Behind you, Charlie’s unable to stop his momentum. In a split second, he’s sent tumbling on top of you, the pillow that he was holding somewhat cushioning his fall so he didn’t full body slam into you.
There you lie on Charlie’s couch, caged by his arms which had mercifully landed next to your face and not on it. His messy hair looked even messier after running several rounds around his living room, and you resist the urge to run your fingers through them.
You’re captured next by his blue eyes, still shining with something familiar, but with an added emotion that you’re sure is mirrored in yours. You’re so close to each other you’re practically breathing in each other’s breath, and you can’t help your eyes from straying to glance down at his lips.
When you glance back up to his eyes, you catch him shifting his gaze as well, causing your breath to hitch. You catch the moment he clocks that you’d done the same thing he did as he moves just an inch closer to you.
“Is this okay?” he asks, voice barely above a whisper.
“Yeah,” your response is just as breathy.
Charlie studies your expression carefully, almost as though drinking in your features he had never seen so up close before. Then:
“Can I kiss you?”
You blink once. Then twice. Then:
“Yes, please.”
Charlie crosses the space between you two within the blink of an eye. His lips capture yours, and you finally understand how people could describe a kiss as sweet. Because now that you’ve tasted Charlie’s lips on yours, you’re not sure even honey could compare.
You’re not sure how long you stay locked in each other’s embrace. One of your hands come up to gently thread through Charlie’s hair, eliciting a sigh from the man. When you come up for breath, the movie credits are no longer rolling.
“Wow,” you say, breathless.
“Definitely wow,” he repeats, breathing just as heavily as you are.
“Why haven’t we done that before?” you ask in between a yawn.
“I don’t know.” He takes a second to smile fondly at your yawn. “Sleepy?”
You nod, further relaxing into his hold. “Between the movies and the running around, I’m pretty tired out.”
Charlie hums his acknowledgement before getting off you to stand. Suddenly, he scoops you up in his arms, causing you yelp and loop your arms around his neck.
“Charlie!”
“It’s snuggle time!” he crows, carrying you to his bedroom.
The night ends with you and Charlie snug under his blankets. The weight of his arm around your waist and the feeling of his heartbeat against your back slowly lulled you into what could’ve been the most comfortable sleep you’ve ever had.
☆First Date Yandere! Vincent☆
pairing: yandere! Vincent x fem reader
summary: first date and head canons at end
warnings: n/a
authors note:
You opened your window, slowly at first, you sensed no danger but still aired on the side of caution.
“Vincent, I know you’re out here stop being a fucking creep and ask to come in.” You huffed at the poorly hidden lanky man.
He thought you didn’t know he lurked outside of your house staring at you. You knew and instead of being scared and calling the cops like you probably should have … you oddly found it endearing.
“Uhm hey I’m sorry … I just …. I don’t know.” said a red-faced Vincent, as he moved from his hiding spot rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
“Whatever I don’t care, just don’t be outside my house creepin’ like a damn thief in the night.” You said outwardly annoyed even though you really weren’t. You weren’t angry more so curious about his interest in watching you.
After you let him in through your bedroom window, once he stepped inside, he locked it. You then guided him to your living room for a bit of Southern hospitality…. just sweet tea and pound cake for now.
He sat on your couch looking largely out of place but still so handsome to you.
“OK, so what’s your deal? Are you trynna kill me? rape me? date me? what?” You spoke rapid-firing questions, no need to beat around the bush.
“Uh no none of that I’m so sorry y/n, I just, I, I don’t know, I think I’m interested in you.” He stuttered out.
“You think or you know?” you said hand on your hip.
“I want you to like me, I want to make you smile.” Vincent said nervously.
“I think you’re trying to ask me on a date.” You replied.
“Is that what people normally do? Is that what you’d want your man to do for you?” Vincent questioned. He obviously had little to no understanding of dating and romance.
“I believe so, so when and where to?” you asked smiling and smirking.
“Uh can I pick you up tomorrow at 5?” he shyly asked.
“Yes Vinny, now get out, and I better not catch you in my fucking yard again.” You said while shooing him to the door.
After you slammed the door in his face Vincent was mind blown. You hadn’t called the cops. and you two were going on a date.
Since he had laid eyes on you Vincent started googling all kinds of silly childish things like, how to tell if you like someone? does she like me? what is a date?
But now he finally had a date planned and he was freaking out. He knew nothing, and he could not fuck this up. Google could only help him so much… It was time to call his mother and ask for advice.
He really didn’t want to; it was his last resort. His mother would be very dramatic, he was sure. But it was you, he needed all the help he could get so he bit the bullet.
He had never expressed any romantic or sexual interest in anyone, let alone to his mother. But for you, he felt both.
After speaking with his mother on the phone for hours, he felt equipped to court you. It wouldn’t be normal. He wasn’t normal, He couldn’t love you normally. But he could love you. And after his courtship, he wondered if you would love him too.
He knew that his brain was different, and so did his mother, that’s why he wasn’t shocked at his odd attraction to you. He just knew he needed and wanted you. He understood that much.
From what he knew about you from your first encounter to the few conversations you two had during his time working near your home. He found you enchanting. He felt like you were missing something, and he could be all of that. He would be all of that for you.
He knew even more about you from the time he’d spent outside of your house. Yes, it was wrong, but he liked to see your face before he drove home for the evening. If he didn’t, he’d have to wait until you woke up and went on to your porch the next morning. That was too long for him.
The next day when he took you on your date, you wanted nothing more than to take the gentle giant home with you forever.
yandere! Vincent brought you a bundle of beautiful large white lilies when he knocked on the door to pick you up for your date.
yandere! Vincent held you closer as you hugged him in thanks for the flowers. He looked down at you and used his huge hand to tilt your chin so he could examine your face.
yandere! Vincent opened the door to his car for you and even buckled you in.
yandere! Vincent lets you choose the music, while internally remembering the type of music you enjoyed.
yandere! Vincent held your hand tightly in his as you walked into the restaurant he chose.
yandere! Vincent listened to everything you talked about on your date. When you asked him questions and he answered right away.
yandere! Vincent refuses to leave the restaurant if you don’t pick a dessert. He wouldn’t have one, but he insisted you deserved it.
yandere! Vincent is very nervous if the date is going well, but you keep smiling and it warmed his heart.
yandere! Vincent didn’t want the date to end as he drove you home from your last stop of the night. But he couldn’t think of a way to keep you longer.
yandere! Vincent’s phone rang while he drove, and he asked that you answer it to your surprise. He wouldn’t risk any reckless driving, not while you were in his car.
yandere! Vincent’s mom was on the other side, she audibly gasped when she heard a woman’s voice. She knew right away who you are and she began to embarrass Vinny by saying how much he likes you, how much he talks about you, even the dumb things he did as a kid. By the end of the phone call, you were crying with laughter. His mother was hilarious and kind-hearted. Vinny just drummed his fingers on the steering wheel as he drove, he wasn’t worried about the conversation between you too. Once parked on your street Vincent took his phone and spoke to his mother briefly before hanging up.
yandere! Vincent told you his mother said goodnight and that you are a doll. He walks you to the entrance of your home after unbuckling you and opening your door. When at the door you invite him in. You aren’t ready to leave him either.
The First Time | Jospeh Woll ⚡️🌺
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joseph Woll - Quite possibly the friendliest guy around, and he happened to be your boyfriend.
Being a tad older than you, you weren’t entirely sure why he'd opt to be with someone like yourself. Joe was a skilled hockey goalie, and with his genuine kindness, he could easily charm any young girl. Meanwhile, you were just a young woman trying to find your way through grown-up life.
Yet there he stood, Joseph Woll, with his gentle gaze and soft smile, choosing to be by your side. It had only been a few months since you officially became a couple, but it felt as though you'd known each other for an eternity. Every moment spent with him was brimming with joy, warmth, and a feeling of belonging.
You often found yourself pondering how lucky you were to have him in your life. He was more than just a hockey player; he was your confidante, your staunchest supporter, and your rock. And now, as you sensed your relationship blossoming, you couldn't help but wonder where this journey would take the two of you.
**
You’ met Joe in a charming café in Toronto, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, and fate orchestrated a serendipitous meeting. With your arms burdened by books and papers, you stumbled clumsily, causing your belongings to scatter across the floor. And in the midst of this chaos, Joe emerged like a knight in shining amour, swiftly coming to your aid.
With a friendly smile and a gentle demeanour, he assisted in gathering your scattered possessions, his presence quelling the embarrassment that threatened to engulf you.
Handing back your books, a soft chuckle escaped his lips. "Looks like you could use a hand there," he remarked, his voice warm and comforting.
Blushing slightly, you nodded appreciatively. "Thanks, I'm usually not this clumsy though," you replied, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
He simply smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "No worries, happens to the best of us."
His smile was utterly captivating. His brown hair tousled just right by the occasional breeze from outside, and his prominent ears giving him an endearing and charming appearance.
"Well, thanks anyway," you said sweetly, but for a moment, neither of you seemed to step out of each other’s way.
Joe wasn’t entirely certain why he felt so drawn to your gentle manner, but a small part of him wished fervently that this moment with you could stretch on indefinitely. So instead of letting it fade, he chose to take a leap and prolong the conversation.
"So… you’re into pianos?" Joe suddenly inquired, his brows furrowing with curiosity as he glanced at one of your books.
“Oh, well, yeah, it’s kind of a New Year’s resolution, but I haven’t really managed to play much,” you admitted shyly.
“Well, I happen to play the piano myself, and I know quite a bit about it. If you don’t mind, I could join you for a drink and share some insights?” he proposed, indicating the empty seat opposite you.
"Sure, I'd like that," you replied, a touch of excitement fluttering in your chest.
And so, amidst cups of steaming coffee and shared laughter, your dialogue flowed effortlessly. From exchanging thoughts on your favourite books to swapping anecdotes from your lives, you found yourselves completely absorbed in each other's company, the hours slipping away unnoticed.
**
Joe had naturally been the most romantic gentleman when your relationship began. Following your initial meeting, he'd been nothing but considerate, arranging a proper date at a cosy, intimate restaurant. True to his gentlemanly nature, he picked you up and drove you home, focusing solely on engaging in heartfelt conversations and deepening your connection.
On subsequent dates, he whisked you away to museums, followed by more coffee outings. Then, on the fourth date, he extended a heartfelt invitation to his home to cook you dinner. He even serenaded you with a few tunes on his piano, creating an atmosphere straight out of a fairy tale.
His approach was unlike that of most men you'd encountered in recent years. They were typically the stereotypical frat boys, fond of getting drunk and hitting on young women, often resorting to groping. While many of your friends may have been drawn to such individuals, you shared no such inclination.
You preferred to keep to yourself, finding solace in the simple joys of curling up with a good book and savouring a cup of tea. And this suited Joe perfectly.
You weren't one to partake in wild nights out clubbing every weekend or engage in promiscuous behaviour. Instead, you possessed a depth that made you far more intriguing. Always composed and serene, you listened to Joe with a peaceful smile, your laughter like sweet melodies.
As weeks evolved into months and your bond with Joe grew deeper, you found yourself increasingly at ease and secure in his company. Yet, one aspect remained a source of insecurity for you. Though not entirely uncommon for someone your age, discussing the topic and admitting the truth still felt awkward: you were a virgin.
And aware of Joe's past relationships, you knew that he wasn't.
But what troubled you most was the longing to confide in him, even though you were unsure how to broach the subject. You had a strong feeling that Joe, being the kind-hearted person he was, would never judge you. The challenge lay in finding a way to mention it, as casually as possible.
You thought about the issue for some time. However, on your next date, where Joe had once again invited you over for homemade pasta and relaxed piano lessons, it seemed as though fate had decided the moment had arrived.
After enjoying the most simple and romantic dinner a man had ever prepared for you, you found yourselves nestled together on the sofa, your favourite TV show playing in the background.
On the third date, Joe had given you a quick peck as he escorted you to your door. And by the fourth date, your kisses had grown slightly deeper. However, tonight, you felt a longing for more – yet Joe, always respectful, was almost frustratingly so. You didn't want to come across as too eager, but as soon as his lips met yours, you were captivated and craving more than just a fleeting kiss.
And as you cuddled on the sofa, you found yourselves irresistibly drawn into each other's arms, sharing a sincere, passionate kiss. Your tongues danced in sync as you gently explored Joe's mouth, your fingers twined in his hair while he held you close.
He positioned himself half on top of you, mindful of his larger build, as your legs entwined with his. And it was then that you felt it. Through his thick jeans, you could feel his member growing firmer with the escalating intensity of the kiss, and suddenly, a new sensation enveloped you. Something you had only felt in solitude - a rush of desire.
Easing back a little, you broke the kiss, allowing both of you to catch your breath.
"Are you okay?" Joe asked tenderly, earning a slight nod from you. "So, what's on your mind?" he asked softly, locking his pleading gaze with yours.
Feeling a bit apprehensive about expressing your thoughts, yet also buoyed by a surge of confidence, you decided to speak up. After all, he must be thinking the same thing, judging by the noticeable bulge.
"Um, well…" you began slowly. "You... um... you're turned on?" you half inquired, half stated as gently as possible, not wanting to embarrass him. But Joe remained unruffled. Instead, he simply chuckled softly, briefly glancing down before returning his gaze to you.
"Oh yeah... sorry, I can't really help that, this um, this just feels really good," he admitted softly, a broad grin spreading across his face.
And you couldn't help but smile too. "It really does…"
There was a brief moment of comfortable silence as you pressed your lips together, maintaining eye contact with the man above you.
"Are you sure? I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable," Joe expressed once more, his concern and kindness shining through.
But you simply shook your head gently. "You're not… I just…" Once again, you hesitated for a moment before revealing your true desires. "I just haven’t… ever… done something," you softly admitted, feeling your cheeks slowly flush.
And once more, Joe offered nothing but a gentle smile. "y/n, you don’t have to feel embarrassed about being a virgin…"
His words eased your anxiety a little. "Really?"
"Of course not! Honestly, I can only respect that choice, y/n," Joe added tenderly. "Just promise me you'll tell me if I ever cross a line…"
"Oh Joe, you're not! And to be honest, I really do want… more… it's just… I don’t know how," you admitted once again, your voice barely above a whisper.
Joe remained silent for a moment, considering how to proceed. It was no secret he desired you; his body language spoke louder than words after all. Yet, the last thing he wanted was to make you feel pressured into something you didn't want.
"Well, if and when you're ready… I'd like to show you."
**
Joe had insisted on waiting a few days before taking things further, wanting to ensure you felt ready and not pressured. Which you had reassured him countless times. And finally, the night arrived when you would share your most intimate self with him.
You had naturally heard a lot from girlfriends, so you had some idea of what to expect, yet you couldn't help but feel a little nervous. You'd be completely naked, and Joe would touch your most private areas.
But of course, he had gone out of his way to make you feel at ease. With candlelight and soft piano tunes, he had set a comfortable atmosphere at his home, aiming to keep it romantic and gentle.
And he had succeeded. As soon as he gently took your hand and led you to the bedroom after a casual dinner, all sorts of anxiety washed away. He was nothing but sweet and caring. Guiding you to lie on the bed, he kissed you deeply, his hand gently cradling your face as your lips moved together. His tongue politely sought permission to enter, and you welcomed it eagerly.
You felt incredible under Joe's touch. The way he carefully moved his hands around your body, gently massaging you as he pulled you closer to him, felt nothing short of amazing.
And Joe took his time with you, making sure you felt at ease as he kept the kiss deep and passionate, gradually feeling himself becoming aroused too.
Then, breaking the kiss momentarily, his eyes locked onto yours. "Are you certain about this?" He asked softly, to which you gave him a sweet smile and nodded.
"Yes, Joe," you replied, your voice soft and tender, yet tinged with excitement. With your consent, Joe positioned himself between your legs, kneeling as he guided you to relax completely. His gaze remained fixed on you, ensuring he would notice any hint of discomfort.
Then, gently, he began to move his large palms up under your shirt, feeling your smooth skin against his soft hands, before he encouraged you to sit up slightly so he could pull your shirt over your head. As you sat with your breasts exposed in your lacy bra, carefully chosen for the occasion, Joe remembered to kiss you again.
Giving him a smile, you signalled for him to continue. Still with his lips on yours, he used his skilled fingers to unclasp your bra. Although it looked good on you, Joe wanted to feel your skin against his. Your breasts were perfectly round and your nipples hard, indicating your arousal. He then guided you to lie back down as he slowly moved his lips to your neck, placing gentle kisses while his hand massaged your breast.
"Does that feel nice?" Joe murmured against the sensitive skin of your neck, sending a delightful shiver through you.
"Y-yes," you muttered, feeling yourself yielding more and more to him.
"Good, just relax," he spoke tenderly, before shifting to the other side of your neck and attending to your other breast with his hands.
"Mmm," you softly moaned, surprising yourself as you melted into his touch.
Being with Joe was truly wonderful. Already, you felt remarkably at ease under his touch, and you almost couldn't wait for him to proceed further.
Yet he maintained a leisurely pace. With care, he withdrew his tantalising lips, moving to kneel beside you, before he located the button on your jeans with his fingers. Skilfully, he unfastened them and slowly pulled them down your legs, revealing your matching lacy underwear.
You felt a twinge of embarrassment at being so exposed to Joe, yet somehow, he made you feel comfortable, creating a calming atmosphere in the room.
Returning to your lips, he gently planted another kiss. "If it makes you more comfortable, you can slip under the covers while I undress," he suggested, his voice incredibly soothing. And with a soft nod, you complied, while he slowly undressed as well, revealing his erect member.
You couldn't help but gasp as you beheld his size, proudly standing against his lower torso. It appeared quite large to you, though lacking any real comparison. All you could ponder was how it would fit inside you, as you had only experimented with your fingers a few times, and they didn't even come close to his dimensions.
Joe seemed to sense your slight astonishment. "Don’t worry, I'll make sure you're comfortable," he reassured you, returning to the mattress and joining you under the covers, where he once again connected your lips in a tender kiss.
Gradually, you relaxed once more, his calm demeanour rubbing off on you with each passionate motion. And as Joe slowly moved to remove your final piece of fabric, exposing your heat to him, he broke the kiss, yet keeping his gaze fixed on you at all times. Carefully, he encircled his long fingers around your core, smoothing your skin as he inched closer to your sensitive flesh.
Then reconnecting your lips, he delicately trailed his fingers between your folds, gently caressing your sensitive bud and lightly probing your entrance. You released a small breath, briefly breaking the kiss, before resuming as you felt the pleasurable sensations he was inducing.
And only when Joe felt you were completely at ease did, he let his fingers tenderly stroke your clit, sending small sparks of pleasure through your body. Your hands instinctively reached for his hair, intensifying the kiss as you felt a new wave of excitement beginning to build.
"Does it feel good, sweetheart?" He whispered softly into the kiss, and all you could manage was to moan in response. "Good…"
Joe couldn't help but relish the way you lightly moaned and shifted under his touch. All he desired was to ensure he brought you pleasure, and from the way your fingers tangled in his hair, he took it as a positive sign.
Breaking the kiss once more, he pulled back to observe your expression while gently applying a little more pressure as he circled your clit. Then noticing your moans becoming more rapid and uninhibited, he sensed that you were experiencing the pleasure he aimed to provide you.
And indeed, you were. The knot in your lower abdomen tightened as Joe continued to tease your nerve endings, and soon you felt your legs trembling lightly, losing all sense of control. Your hands shifted to grip onto his shoulders as the intensity within you heightened, and soon you realised this must be what an orgasm felt like.
"Oh… Joe…" you softly moaned, closing your eyes tightly as he maintained a steady rhythm, bringing you closer to climax. "Yes…"
And before long, you felt a small spasm wash over your body, as you allowed yourself to succumb to the moment, your mind enveloped in a blissful haze.
Joe couldn't help but smile as he witnessed the pleasure, he was bringing you. "Did you enjoy that?" He chuckled lightly, though he already knew the answer, as he withdrew his fingers slightly.
"Yes," you simply breathed out as you slowly came down from your high.
There was a tender moment lingering, yet the air was thick with steamy desire. Then, with his eyes still locked onto yours, Joe slowly let his fingers slip further down, gently stroking your moist flesh as he approached your entrance. He studied your face, ensuring you still felt relaxed under his touch.
And when he noticed your controlled breathing, he slowly pressed a finger against your opening, gently pushing as he felt your tight walls around it.
“Mmm…” you moaned softly. Even with just one finger, it felt much better than anything you'd ever tried on your own.
And Joe felt rather satisfied with how well it was going, how wet you were, which had been part of his intention when bringing you to climax first. And as he observed your face showing small signs of pleasure, he slowly added a second finger, ensuring it felt good while also gently stretching you.
Despite feeling his own arousal building, his cock throbbing and slick with pre-cum, his primary focus was on your need. And as he felt your wetness coating his fingers, your walls tightening around his digits as he stimulated you, he thought that you might be ready for him soon.
Your fingers lightly dug into his shoulders as you savoured the pleasurable sensation of his fingers inside you. However, the more he massaged your insides, the more you yearned for him. Another small knot was slowly forming in your stomach once more, and now as you understood what it meant, you felt an even deeper desire to be satisfied.
“Joe…” you softly mumbled between moans. “Please, I want you…”
And your wish was his command. “Alright,” he whispered in your ear, before gently withdrawing his fingers from your core, leaving you feeling a bit empty, yet filled with anticipation.
Then kneeling back, he leaned over to the nightstand where he retrieved a condom packet, carefully tearing it open before sheathing himself. Your eyes followed his every move attentively, your core patiently waiting to be fulfilled.
Hovering over you once more, Joe positioned himself in missionary, his gaze still locked on you as he aligned himself with your entrance. “Let me know if it hurts,” he spoke firmly, earning a nod of confirmation from you. Your hands found their way to the back of his shoulders again, your eyes deeply connected with his as he slowly eased his length inside you.
“Oh… God…” you muttered under your breath as his member stretched your tight walls.
Joe felt nothing but pleasure as he filled you up, slowly reaching the very depths of your insides before he paused. Both of you needed a moment to catch your breath; you were overly stimulated, while Joe needed to exercise restraint. The sensation of you around his sensitive member was heavenly, and he felt a surge of pride being the first one you let in.
“I’m going to start moving, okay?” he softly inquired, earning another nod from you. And then very carefully, he withdrew a little before pushing back in, and then again, very slowly. Your nails almost dug into his skin as you felt the exquisite stimulation of his cock against your walls, your mind drifting into another blissful haze and your vision slowly blurring.
And Joe soon found a steady rhythm that brought you both pleasure, still slow and cautious as he didn’t want to overwhelm you. However, as your moans gradually grew louder with every thrust, he found it increasingly difficult to hold back. Gradually, he began to increase the pace, your wetness allowing him to slide in and out effortlessly.
“Mmmm… yes, oh…” he muttered under his breath as he rocked his hips against you, his cock throbbing with every motion. Similarly, you felt your core dripping and pulsating as he made love to you.
“Joe… Mmm… I think- I think I’m going to…” you couldn’t even finish your sentence as a rush of pleasure coursed through your mind, body, and soul, his length guiding you to another orgasm, your eyes closing as you surrendered to the euphoria once more.
Which only brought Joe closer to his own climax as your tight walls clenched around him, his pace picking up once more. He had to close his eyes as well as he felt himself about to reach the peak, and with a few more thrusts, he finally let out a deep grunt and surrendered to his climax.
“Oh yes…” he moaned loudly, allowing himself to thrust slowly and deeply a couple of times as he released into the latex.
There was another moment of silence as you both regained control of your breaths, your hearts beating faster as you slowly returned to reality from the euphoric state.
Pearls of sweat had formed on Joe’s forehead, his eyes opening again to meet yours in a romantic gaze.
“Was that alright?” he softly inquired with a crooked smile, and you couldn’t help but let out a small laugh.
“Joe, it was absolutely wonderful,” you flashed him a satisfied smile. And for another few seconds, you allowed yourselves to just enjoy the intimate moment.
“Good…” he returned your satisfied smile. “Just try to relax, sweetheart, and I’ll be right back,” he informed you with a soft tone before carefully withdrawing his length from your core. Offering him a nod, you watched as he walked to the bathroom to dispose of the condom.
And while he was cleaning himself up, you couldn’t help but feel a surge of happiness wash over you. Your mind still basking in bliss as you reflected on tonight and how sweet and gentle Joe had been, how understanding and caring he had shown himself to be.
It hadn’t been painful at all, contrary to what some of your friends had warned. Instead, Joe had taken his time to ensure you felt nothing but pleasure, even bringing you to your very first two orgasms.
As you lay there in the romantic yet passionate ambiance, a smile played on your lips. And as Joe returned to the bed, he wore an equally contented smile, a damp cloth in his hand, which he delicately used to help you clean your juices from between your legs.
It was nothing short of an amazing evening, the way Joseph helped you explore your own body and desires, followed by him offering you a t-shirt to sleep in and whispering sweet nothings as you simply lay in his embrace. You chatted for a brief while, both of you wearing broad smiles, as he tenderly caressed every inch of your body, still ensuring you felt relaxed and comfortable even after making love. And as satisfaction filled your mind and body, tiredness descended upon you both, and gradually you drifted off to sleep in each other’s warm embrace.
**
As morning slowly crept in, you still felt a lingering sense of pleasure in your core. And what made your early smile widen even more was waking up spooning with Joe, his large frame enveloping you, while his morning wood pressed against your back.
And sensing your slight movements, Joe also slowly stirred from his slumber.
“Morning,” he softly murmured into your hair, planting a gentle kiss as he held you close.
“Morning,” you replied with a husky morning voice, before turning around in his arms, your tired gaze meeting his.
“Did you sleep well?”
“Oh, I think we both know I slept wonderfully,” you let out a light chuckle. “How about you?”
“Hmm, I slept well too, especially with you in my arms…”
You couldn’t help but smile as your eyes remained locked. “Did you have any… uhm, dreams about me?” you inquired, slightly mischievously.
“Hmm, not specifically,” Joe chuckled lightly, propping his head on his elbow. “Why?”
“Oh, well then you must just be really happy to have me here…” you teased sweetly, hinting at his once again firm member tucked away in his boxers.
“Yeah, that’s kind of normal,” he chuckled again. “But that doesn’t mean I’m not happy to have you here,” he added, smiling before leaning in for a tender kiss.
“Hmm,” you hummed into the kiss before pulling back slightly, your mind filled with desire for the man lying beside you. “Well… maybe… it deserves a little attention…” you sweetly suggested.
“Oh, you're already up for round two?” Joe grinned playfully, pulling you a little closer to his warm body.
“Maybe…” you admitted softly. “I guess it was just that good…”
And Joe couldn’t exactly disagree with you. Flashing you a flirtatious smile, he then kissed you again, this time in a deeper and more passionate manner, before pulling apart.
“Well, then I guess I shouldn’t keep you waiting, miss,” he said with a smile before attending to your desires with a playful chuckle.
Prisoner of Love
Tumblr media
[S6! Mike Ross x Female!Reader]
Synopsis: Making the effort to explain himself, Mike certainly has a lot on his plate, including breaks, not just from jail.
WC: 3205
Category: Slight Angst, Slight Fluff
This was an intrusive thought that I just wrote up last night… so, enjoy! (thanks for your wonderful feedback @yoursacredqueenmother)
『••✎••』
“Mike?”
You were in utter shock to see your friend Mike standing in front of you. Your best friend, the one person who always seemed to be there for you no matter what had turned out to be not only a complete fraud but also now a criminal. You were in such a state of disbelief that you hadn't realized you were standing there, looking at him, with your mouth agape and eyes wide.
After you said his name, you didn't know what else to say. Mike stood there with his hands on the door frame, not wanting to take one step forward and risk coming inside your apartment. He looked nervous, his head darting all over, trying to avoid eye contact with you. His breathing was quick and short as if he had just run a marathon, and his lips were pressed into a fine line, which meant that he was thinking of something to say.
Mike was arrested, he was in jail for two years because of a plea deal, and now here he was, standing in front of you only weeks later like it was any other day.
The silence was killing you. Mike still wouldn't make eye contact, and you were starting to feel the anger boil up inside of you. You felt betrayed. You had spent almost four years working at Pearson-Hardman with him and Rachel, and you considered yourself friends with him and his “on a break” girlfriend, so this came as a huge shock to you. You never saw him as a fraud, never would have suspected it in a million years, but here he was—a liar, a con artist, and now a fugitive.
Mike finally looked up at you, and the first thing he noticed was the tears forming in your eyes. Seeing you cry hurt him, but not as much as the words that came out of your mouth.
"Go away."
His eyes gave away the fact that he clearly was expecting this, but that didn't mean it hurt any less. The blue turned a dark gray, the way they always did when he was upset, and his eyes fell back down to the floor.
"Look, I— I’m not here to make excuses. I know that I just… Don’t you even care to know why I’m here? What happened to me?" He asked, finally finding the strength to keep eye contact.
"Could be more bullshit," you said, folding your arms across your chest and leaning against the door. You didn’t want to admit that you did want to know what happened to him. You were concerned; of course, you were. That was part of the reason you were so upset with him. Even after all that he put you through, the worry for him was still there.
"Can I at least explain myself?" Mike asked, and you rolled your eyes at his question.
"You already did, Mike. Well, everyone except me, apparently. You, Rachel, Harvey, Jessica, Louis. All of you knew about this, but I didn't. And why is that?"
"I told you I didn't want you to get involved," Mike replied. “You don’t deserve to go down for my mistakes. It was selfish of me to do that, I know that, but I thought I was protecting you."
"Yeah, well, you just stabbed me in the back instead," you said.
"Can I come inside? I only have so much time before—"
"Oh, so you’re protecting me again?" You asked, not waiting for an answer. "By breaking out of prison and coming to my place. I don't even want to think about what would happen to me if someone found out I'm hiding a fugitive!"
"I’m not—” Mike took a second to compose himself and start again. He couldn’t blame you for being so mad, not after everything he did. "I didn’t break out. I got released… sort of. It’s a bit messy, but to sum it up, I’ve got six hours with an ankle monitor."
"Then why are you here? Why not with Harvey?" You asked. "Or Rachel? I'm sure she’d be glad to see you, and she's better equipped to handle this."
"’Cause we need to talk. Now, can you let me inside, please? I’m feeling a little exposed out here," he said, his hand motioning towards the outside hallway.
Jokes. Of course, he would use jokes at a time like this.
“… Fine. You have an hour, tops. Then you have to leave," you said, taking a step back to let him inside.
Mike wasted no time stepping into your apartment, and as soon as you shut the door, his hands were on your shoulders, and he was pulling you into him. Your eyes went wide, and you had no idea what was going on. It was only when you felt his wet cheek against your own that you realized he was crying.
"I missed you," Mike said. “So so much."
It was like your brain went on autopilot, and suddenly, your arms were around him, and you were squeezing him tight. It was like nothing had changed. It was like no time had passed since you had last seen him, and it was so overwhelming that it had brought tears back to your eyes.
"I missed you too," you said, your voice quiet and barely above a whisper.
Mike pulled away from the hug but still had his hands on your shoulders. He was smiling at you, and his eyes were no longer that dark gray they were before but back to that bright blue.
"I’m sorry I never got to explain why I did what I did," Mike started, his voice a little shaky. "I wanted to tell you, I really did, but I couldn't. I didn’t want to put you in that position."
"But you were able to tell Rachel, Donna, and even Louis?" You asked.
"To be fair, Rachel figured it out on her own, and Donna knew from the moment I started working at Pearson-Hardman."
"What about Louis?"
"That was a whole different thing," Mike said, chuckling a bit. "He was a bit… theatrical, to say the least."
"But that still doesn't explain why you were able to tell them but not me."
At this, he looked away from you, his head turning and looking out the window. The night sky was beautiful, the way the full moon shone, and how the city lights made everything glow, including his face. The reflection of the moon against his skin made his eyes stand out, and the streetlights made him look like he was glowing.
"I knew you would understand," he finally said. "You would be the one person to listen to me and actually give me a chance, and I was afraid of that. If I had told you, I would've been afraid of what would've happened, and I would've probably ended up convincing myself to leave."
"Leave and do the right thing," you said.
"Maybe. But it doesn't matter. I'm here now, and we're talking," he said, the corners of his mouth turning up into a small smile. “I’m making up for it now."
"Yeah, yeah," you said, rolling your eyes. You couldn't help but smile as well.
"But, there's one other reason why I didn't tell you. And it's not because I didn't trust you, because I trust you more than anyone. It's just that I— I—" Mike stopped himself, taking a moment to figure out his words. His eyes were looking everywhere, but at you, and the more he avoided your gaze, the more concerned you became. "I just, I wanted to protect you. Because I—"
Before he could finish, a knock came from the door. Mike looked at the clock, and the time read 2:04 AM. Who would be visiting at this time? You didn't have to wonder long as Mike's watch started to beep, and the knock became a more forceful bang.
"Mike, let's go!" Someone yelled from the other side of the door. A very familiar voice, too.
"Who is that?" You asked.
Mike ignored your question, instead walking towards the door. His hand was on the knob, and he took a deep breath, preparing himself.
The door flew open as soon as he opened it, and a very angry Harvey Specter stood on the other side.
"Where the hell have you been?" He asked.
"Calm down, Harvey. I was with her," Mike said, motioning towards you. "We were catching up."
"Catching up? Mike, do you not care about getting out of this mess or not? I told you I had a plan, but if you go running off on your own, it's not gonna work."
"Oh, is this another one of your great plans? The ones I get left out of?" You asked, moving past Mike and standing between him and Harvey.
Mike practically face-palmed himself when he heard you speak up. This was definitely not the way he planned things to go. Just as he finally was on the path of making things right, things went downhill once again.
"I would be happy to explain the details of the plan to you if someone," he glanced over at Mike, who looked down at his feet, "cared to follow it. Now, can we get going? The car and Cahill are waiting."
"Five minutes, Harvey.”
"Mike,” Harvey said, his tone showing how frustrated he was becoming.
"Five. Minutes."
Another minute was wasted with the two men staring each other down, and the air was filled with tension. It was a stare-off, and neither seemed like they were going to back down. You stood there, watching and wondering whether you should make an escape or not, but were too intrigued to move.
Harvey broke the silence with a sigh, his head dropping.
"Fine. But if you aren’t downstairs in five minutes, I'm dragging your ass down whether you like it or not."
And with that, Harvey turned around and walked away with that sense of confidence he always seemed to have. You watched him until he turned the corner, and when you turned back, Mike was smiling.
"What are you smiling about? Your best friend is still mad at you," you said. It came out more sarcastically than you had hoped, but you didn't really care at this point.
“Are you? Still mad, I mean," he asked, ignoring your snarky remark. “It seems like you aren’t."
"I am. I still feel hurt, but I can't stay mad at you. You know how much I suck at staying mad at people," you said.
"It’s a problem, yeah."
"Hey!" You exclaimed, hitting him on the shoulder.
"Well, it is. You have a tendency to let people walk all over you and forgive them for the shitty things they do. Which, might I add, is not always the right thing to do."
"So, I shouldn’t forgive you? Logic isn’t really logicking, Michael," you said, raising an eyebrow and smirking.
"It is, and that’s not a real word," Mike laughed. “Besides, Michael? When did that start happening?”
"You’re the one with the photographic memory. Shouldn’t you know?"
Now you were both laughing. Like the good old days, the two of you would sit in his office or at his apartment, cracking jokes and laughing about the most ridiculous things: movies, TV shows, music, whatever.
You missed this. You missed him.
"I have to go," Mike said, the smile not leaving his face.
"Yeah," you said, the same sad smile on your lips. “Hey, is uh… is prison any fun?"
"Why, you wanna come visit?" Mike asked, chuckling a bit. You could tell he was faking his laugh, though. He was putting up a front, trying to seem like everything was okay when it clearly wasn’t.
"No, I mean… You’re okay, right? Harvey’s been talking about this Gallo guy, and it seems pretty bad," you said.
"I’m okay. I’ll be okay," Mike said, placing his hands on your shoulders. You couldn't help but notice how cold his hands were, and he couldn't help but notice the sadness in your eyes.
"Don’t look at me like that," he said.
"Like what?"
"Like that. The thing that you do when you know that something bad is going to happen," Mike said.
"You can't know that for sure," you said, your eyes not meeting his.
"But I do. Look at me."
You lifted your head, and his eyes bore into yours. It was almost as if he was trying to look straight into your soul.
"I will be fine. I promise. As long as you're not mad at me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “Can you do that for me?"
"Of course, Mike," you said, staring into his blue eyes. They were brighter than ever despite the situation.
Mike's hand reached up to cup your cheek, and at first, you thought he was just wiping away a tear, but he didn’t move. He just kept his hand there, and his gaze never left yours.
"Mike..."
He was staring at your lips, and his eyes had a look in them you had never seen before. It was almost like a hunger, a longing for something.
"Yeah?" He asked, his voice just as quiet.
"What are you doing?"
Mike moved his head closer to yours, and the distance between you was getting shorter.
"Mike," you said again, and he finally looked back into your eyes. The longing look was still there, but this time it was more prominent, and there was a slight fear. “What about Rachel?"
Mike's thumb stroked your cheek, and he let out a long breath, closing his eyes.
"She knows."
"Wha—"
But you couldn't finish because, in a split second, Mike's lips were on yours. His kiss was soft, and his hands were pulling you in closer. Your arms found their way around his neck, and one hand ran through his hair, which was much shorter than before. It didn’t take long for him to part his lips and allow your tongue to meet his.
Your heart was racing, and the butterflies in your stomach were going crazy. This wasn’t like any of the other kisses you had before, not like the quick, rushed kisses you shared with your ex or the ones that felt like dead weight against your lips.
This kiss was perfect. A well-crafted masterpiece that was made to make you feel loved. You didn’t realize just how badly you needed a kiss like this. You didn't know that was what was missing, but now that you had it, you realized how empty you were without it.
And when the two of you finally pulled apart, Mike was smiling. It was a big, genuine smile that lit up his face and made his eyes bright. It was a look that could light up a dark room.
"Rachel and I talked a lot while I was inside, and we decided that... that she deserved better. I couldn’t give her the life that she deserved. She was still stuck with me, even when I was away. We were both miserable, and it was time to put an end to it," he said, and a sad smile made its way onto his face.
"So…”
"She's okay. Really. She also knows about how much you mean to me, and she's okay with this."
"Really?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.
"She also told me a wonderful piece of information about how you apparently love me."
"You did not just—"
"I did, and now we have to talk about that."
"Nope," you said, popping the 'p.' "You have a prison to go to and a plan to complete. So, get going. You've already wasted enough time."
"Aw, but I love talking about how much you like me," he said, a teasing smile on his face.
"Out."
Mike's smile widened, and he gave you one last quick kiss.
"Okay. I'm going."
Mike took a few steps towards the door, but then turned back to look at you. He didn't say anything, but instead just stared. He didn't have that hungry look in his eyes anymore, but a more content look.
Like he was taking in the last few moments he would have with you. A picture in his mind to cherish, and to remember you by.
"Mike?"
He took a deep breath, and looked at the floor, preparing himself for the next few moments.
"I don’t regret anything. And, if I had a chance to go back and do things differently, I wouldn’t change a single thing. Except maybe not getting caught," Mike said, his laugh coming out dry. "But, besides that, I don't regret any of it. Everything that happened, the people I've met, and the things I've done. The only thing I regret is not telling you sooner… about my feelings. How much I care for you. But, I want you to know that, I would do everything a million times over. If I knew that, in the end, it would lead me here, to this moment, with you, I would do it.”
He paused, and took another breath. It was clear he was struggling with his words, and the way he was looking at the ground showed that he was trying his best not to cry.
"I just wanted to tell you all of this before I go because I don’t know what will happen next. When I see you next, you know? I'm I just— I needed you to know, and I hope that, wherever I end up, and whatever happens, I’m glad we worked things out. At least, a little bit.”
You just stared. You knew Mike could feel your eyes on him, and that he probably didn’t like the silence, but you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything. Instead, you just took in everything that was him.
He was standing in the doorway, his hands in his pockets. He looked so casual, despite the fact that he was about to go off to prison… well, not at that moment— but soon. It was like it was a normal day, and he was just hanging out with his friends.
His blue eyes were no longer on the floor, and instead were back on you. He gave you one last small, sad smile, before turning around and leaving the apartment.
You watched as he turned the corner and disappeared from your view. It was quiet, the only sounds were your own breathing and the sounds from the city below. You could hear the cars driving by, and the faint sound of sirens in the distance.
Everything was so different now. Everything was so strange.
Before, your world revolved around Mike. No matter what, he was always there. He was the thing that held you together and what tore you apart. And, for the past couple of months, everything had fallen apart. You were in a state of chaos, and nothing was right.
And yet, in just a matter of minutes, everything changed.
You weren’t sure if everything would work out, and you weren't sure what the future held. But, at least now, things were back to how they should be.
Or as close as they could be.
maybe one where jude forgets your birthday and you dont really have any relatives so you’ve never celebrated your birthday so you didn’t care. but after a few weeks he realizes and grovels
jude bellingham x reader
tw : angst, fluffy ends tho…
Tumblr media
not a happy birthday
it was your birthday night. not that you expected to celebrate with someone since you’ve been alone for the most part of your life but you expected at least a “happy birthday my love” from jude, but he clearly forgot.
it’s not that you were mad. well, a little bit, but you were upset knowing that you asked jude to clear his agenda only that night for you and instead he was out with his friends partying somewhere.
he knew when it was your birthday, he just forgot that it was tonight.
you never had a birthday cake or birthday presents so you never expected that from jude but just spending the night together watching some movies and eating junk food would have been enough for you.
instead you found yourself watching a crime documentary while drinking red wine trying not to cry.
you were too tired to even wait for jude that you went to sleep and decided to forget the awful night you just had.
jude came home a few hours later and he thought it was weird when he was greeted with silence. you always waited for him, claiming you didn’t want to fall asleep without him so he was a little shocked when he saw you sleeping in bed.
he thought that maybe you were too tired to wait for him so after a few minutes he dropped it and went to sleep next to you.
the next few days passed in a blur. jude was always out for practice and when he was at home he claimed that he was too tired to do something with you. he knew he was neglecting you and he didn’t want to but football took all of his time and when he came home he was ready to sleep the day off.
you started speaking less and less. you maybe thought that it wasn’t just your birthday, the problem were you. in your mind you kept thinking how distant he was from you and how he started avoiding you.
when you tried to have a conversation with him he would only reply with “yes” “no” “okay” “whatever you want baby” “what’s best for you honey” “sure” “i’m really tired, can we talk about it another time?”
so you lost hope and started to avoiding him too.
one day while you were at home, he left for practice early. you had breakfast together and only talking the bare minimum, just “you good?” “yes” “okay” and that was killing you.
as he was talking with his teammates one of them brought up that the following day was his wife’s birthday and that he booked a table in this new fancy restaurant in order to surprise her.
jude started wondering when was your birthday. he knew it he just couldn’t figure it out.
“shit…” he whispered to himself. he remembered. you birthday was a few weeks ago and he completely forgot. that’s why you started avoiding him more and talking to him less. and he knew he had to make it up to you.
so that night he came back home with roses and a chocolate cake, your favorite.
you were watching a movie in the living room when you saw his figure coming and sitting next to you.
“before you say anything i want to apologize” he said, his look full of remorse “i was a shitty boyfriend in these past weeks and forgetting about your birthday was the worst thing a boyfriend could do” he laughed even if he was trying to be serious “i’m literally the worst boyfriend on the planet…”
“you’re not the worst boyfriend on the planet jude…you just were a shitty boyfriend these past weeks, i agree with that” you said while he handed you the flowers.
“i forgot your birthday y/n…”
“it’s not that i had plans anyway…” you said.
“no but i should have been here…i should have spent the night with you instead i was partying somewhere else as you waited for me to come back home…i’m really really sorry y/n, for everything” he apologised again “from your birthday to neglecting you all these days…you didn’t deserve that”
“no i didn’t…” you whispered “but i know how much passion and work you put into football and i know it wasn’t your intention”
“no it wasn’t…i’m just…this whole new thing is stressing me out a lot and i never felt so much pressure in my life” he confessed.
“i know baby, that’s why i’m here for, you don’t have to go through this all alone” you smiled at him.
“i really don’t deserve you…” he scooped closer to you and grabbed your chin gently “you deserve so much more and i know that but let me be selfish because i can’t let you go, i don’t want to let you go…i’ll change just for you, i’ll make you happier…” you saw a few tears forming in his eyes and you could tell he was being honest.
“it’s okay jude…we have a lot to work on, especially communication but i don’t plan on leaving you anytime soon” you said making him laugh a little.
“thank you love…” he gently kissed your lips. you felt like in heaven again. his lips against yours finally made you feel alive again.
“now…there’s a chocolate cake in the fridge, your favorite one…i know i should have brought you the cake on your birthday but i really don’t want it to go waisted” he smirked at you.
“you know i can’t say no when there’s a cake involved…”
“well you better go…” he said standing up and taking you to the kitchen.
you both a big slice of cake while you were sitting at the kitchen counter, talking about the things you missed in all of these days and finally feeling like a couple again.
Mixed Feelings Pt2
Tumblr media
summary: ao’nung is coming to terms with his feelings for the eldest sully daughter, y/n. But it looms over him that he yearns for her to feel the same way.
1.7k words
read pt1, pt3
──── ⑅*❀*⑅ ────
Ao’nung barely slept that night. His eyes may of been closed but only to relive the moments he spent with you just hours prior.  He wished the walk to where your family slept wasn’t so short. He wished that he could’ve gotten to look into your yellow eyes just a moment longer.
Moments with you weren’t the only thing troubling his mind however, his heart wanted to spend every breathe he took beside you, yet his mind told him to stay away. You’re still different. A forest girl, useless to him and his clan but yet he felt a magnetic pull towards you.
The sun was beginning to rise, meaning so did the people. Noise started to fill the village of quiet yawns and scuffles as everyone was beginning to wake. Tsireya was usually first to wake within her family so she was shocked to already see Ao’nung sitting up in his hammock.
“Brother, what are you doing up already.” She questioned rubbing her eyes making a confused face at him.
“I had trouble sleeping, that is all.” He replied back to her standing up stretching his legs. He wondered if he could confide to Tsireya about his feelings towards you. But he’d never do that, Ao’nung is too proud to confide to anyone.
Tsireya nodded in acknowledgement as she too stretched her legs. Both siblings had morning chores to do so they went along with their usual routine, but Ao’nung was looking forwards to later in the day. To get to see you alone, just you two. He hated this anticipation it made him cringe when he even smiled to the thought of seeing you.
You were so nervous to meet Ao’nung. What if it was a prank. What if he was going to ridicule your lack of skill the entire time. You couldn’t deny the feeling of affection you had towards the boy but still you were holding back because of his disapproval towards your family.
You still couldn’t shake the feeling of his plump lips on the tops of your fingers. The way he looked at you and slightly squinted his eyes almost to focus his sight on you. You were flustered by him and your thoughts were infatuated with him.
Ao’nung was already at the shoreline impatiently waiting for you to turn up. He paced in a circle looking down at the sand. He was scared you weren’t going to come, but then it wasn’t like this was a date, it was a lesson. A lesson to teach a useless Na’vi how to become less of a baby within his clan.
You ran down the beach realising you took too long talking to Kiri just before you met him. Racing down to meet him you were slightly out of breath. You tapped on his shoulder making him turn around quickly with a shocked face. It was kind of cute you thought to yourself.
“Sorry I am late, I got carried away talking to Kiri.” You say in a breathy tone waving your hand around in an apologetic way.
“Maybe you need lesson in time management along with breathing. Is there no punctuality in the forest?” Ao’nung scoffed sitting down on the sand. The piece of beach was a bit away from the village meaning it was truly just you two alone.
“Wow! how kind of you.” You rolled you eyes sitting cross legged in front of him. You were so close to him that your knees touched lightly whenever you adjusted in the sand. Ao’nung sat up right his hands on his thighs waiting for you to copy his posture.
“I want you to breath in how you would do before you swim.” Ao’nung said he flicked his hand motioning for you to do as he said. He watched you take a small breath, (which you thought was big), the way you eyes had a taint of concentration and your eyebrows furrowed when you inhaled. He thought it was adorable.
“That was a pathetic breath Y/N.” Ao’nung stated blankly looking into your eyes. He’d never look away from them if he didn’t have to. “You breathe through your chest, breathe through your stomach instead.”
Following his instructions you breathed through your stomach but it was still ‘pathetic’. Ao’nung closely watched how your chest shook when you took a deep breath and the way your hands that relaxed on your thighs became tense when you inhaled.
He scooted closer to you, resting on his feet as he sat beside you. Leaning in and placing his hand on the skin of your ribs. “You need to relax.”
It was hypocritical for him to say that because as soon as he laid his hand on you he felt like he was buzzing. His blood rushing through his body fast, as his eyes fixated on the beauty of your face. The way you closed your eyes and concentrated was so beautiful. No. You were beautiful.
He couldn’t deny it to himself any longer. His feelings towards you were strong. Stronger than any condemnation to your clan, your skill, or your family.
While Ao’nung has an inner monologue with himself, you were hot. Hot and flustered with the way his hand rested on yourself. You couldn’t decide if you wanted his hand to stay there forever and for him to never be apart from you or rip himself off of your skin and attack his face with your lips. There was no way you could relax. Not in a million years.
“I cannot relax.” You say looking up at him as you grab his hand, one of your hands holding his pinkie the other holding his thumb. Ao’nung felt as if a part of himself was torn off when his hand left you. But he couldn’t complain as you hands tightly held onto his finger. He squinted his eyes in confusion as you open and closed your mouth thinking of words to say.
“I cannot relax with your hands on me.” You said barely above a whisper looking down still holding onto him.
Ao’nung felt confused. Was it because you hated how he touched you or were you feeling the same as him. He hoped for the latter. He watched the way your hands were slightly shaking around his fingers. Your hair fell over your face as your head hung low. You couldn’t meet his strong gaze. It was intimidating.
“Then I won’t touch you.” He said pulling his hand out of your grasp backing away from you so that you were slightly less than arms reach apart. His eyes bored into you. He watched you carefully, his head tilted slightly.
“No no.” You said scooting towards him. You put your hand onto his chest where his was just before. Ao’nung let out a short breath making you chuckle slightly. His body tensed up and his heartbeat skyrocketed. He couldn’t ever hate this feeling like he felt he should. He wanted your hands on him constantly. “See it’s hard to relax in a situation like this.” You chuckled about to take your hand off his warm body.
However, Ao’nung had other plans. Hastily grabbing your hand with both of his and roughly placing it on his heart. His hands squeezed your hands tightly as you stared at him with anticipation. A long pause occurred as Ao’nung looked as if he was about to scream into the air.
“Y/N do you feel this? Do you feel how fast my heart is beating for you right now? Can you hear it thumping as I do? It feels as if it is ready to jump out of my skin. Why do you make me feel this way? I didn’t sleep at all last night. You know why? I was up thinking about you. Your stupid tail, your hair, your laugh, your smile, everything about you.”
Ao’nung’s tongue moved fast as he spilt his thoughts into words. He stared deeply into your eyes feeling like his stomach was twisting inside out. How could he spill that? What possessed him to say something so utterly stupid.
“Ao’nung I-.” You stuttered looking at him as he placed your hands back down. He looked dejected ready to get up and leave. He couldn’t stand how thick the air had started to feel. He had to leave.
You wouldn’t let him do that. Putting both hands on his shoulders nervously shaking as you blinked your eyes rapidly to avoid looking at him. He took his hand and guided your chin up to look him in the eye. “Please say something Y/N, don’t leave me in this tortuous suspense any longer.”
“I feel your heartbeat. My heartbeat resembles yours. I may have slept last night but all my dreams consisted of you. You're stuck in my mind constantly Ao’nung and it feels so wrong. But I want to be wrong…with you.” You couldn’t help but look at him. The way his eyes lit up and his signature smile was painted across his face.
His thumb caressed your cheek as his calloused knuckles ran across your face. His eyes darted from your loving stare down to your lips that you were slightly biting the inside of. Moving his thumb from your cheek he dragged it across your bottom lip.
You noticed the glint in his eyes and then he crashed his lips into yours. Like fireworks lightly in your chests you kissed him back passionately. Ao’nung couldn’t believe this was happening, his other hand came up to the other side of your face to deepen the kiss.
It felt magnificent, the way his lips felt on yours, the way his hands gripped your face and the way your heart beat for him.
Soon he parted from his lips resting his forehead on yours. Both out of breath you gazed into each other’s eyes. “Y/N, my forest girl.” He whispered into your ear then once again sharing a soft kiss with you.
Take The Edge Off
Tumblr media
Nick Amaro x F!Reader
Rating: Explicit
Wordcount: 3464
Warnings: dirty talk, discussion of sexts/sexting, swearing, car sex/sex in a semi-public place, unsafe sex, biting.
Summary: You and Nick have been trying to find the time to hook up for days. Eventually, you resort to desperate measures to take the edge off. Written for the 'I can never seem to get enough of you' square of @storiesofsvu's bingo. This one was entirely @misscharlielulu's fault. (ao3)
The first photo felt a little silly. You had gotten all dressed up and ready for Nick to come over after work - which had really involved undressing, save for some thigh-highs - only for him to cancel on you. Major case, couldn’t get away from the precinct, short staffed, the usual interruptions. In your frustration, you had wanted some sort of payback.
Which had led to you propping your feet up on the headboard so you could take an artful shot of your legs, clad in your stockings. You know all too well how much Nick likes them, how distracting he finds it when you wear them around him. So you sent the photo off without much thought and went and had a cold shower.
You had come back to a flurry of text messages on your phone.
N: You can’t just send me stuff like that
N: I’m at work.
N: Once I get done here, I’ll come over
N: You’re in so much trouble
Smirking to yourself, you had sent a quick reply.
I hope so.
Your hopes had been dashed again when your phone had rung less than an hour later - instead of Nick, it had been your editor. Some socialite causing havoc uptown, he needed something for the Ledger’s website. The stockings had come off, you had taken the train uptown, and Nick had gotten an apologetic text trying to reschedule for the next night.
It had been the pattern of the last few days. You had gotten bolder in sending Nick photos - never with your face visible - and downright filthy texts, and he had responded with plenty of dirty messages of his own. Neither of you had been able to find the time to get together all week, and judging from the texts, he was feeling the frustration as keenly as you were.
Tonight, blessedly, your schedules aligned. Nick was on a late, so you spent more time than strictly necessary getting ready; picking out nice lingerie, making sure your aesthetician hadn’t missed anything when you went in for your wax last weekend, shaving and lotioning your legs. It’s going suspiciously well, and you’re beginning to wonder if your luck has finally turned when you hear a key in the door.
Luckily you’d dressed, despite an agreement that you’d have the place to yourself for the evening. Your roommate barges into the apartment, looking as though she’s run all the way up from the subway station, her boyfriend in tow.
“Sorry, sweetheart. I know I said I’d stay out, but Ned got the train up to see me, isn’t he so sweet?” Hannah manages, barely pausing as she passes you in the lounge. “Doesn’t your friend have his own place you can go to?” You want to argue back, but her bedroom door slams before you can get a chance.
Not that you have much room to argue with her, since her parents pay half the rent on the apartment. Instead, you return to your bedroom to find your headphones and turn your music on as high as it’ll go before any noises start up from Hannah’s room.
Yes, Nick had his own place, but the whole point of him coming to you was because you lived closer. Less time to wait, after days of dancing around one another. In good traffic, it was barely a ten-minute drive from the precinct to your apartment. From your place to his would take over half an hour, even without accounting for traffic. Frustrated, you flop back onto the couch.
You could text Nick and tell him about the change in plans. The last thing you want to do is reschedule. Whatever you have with Nick might be casual, but it’s still been far too long since you last had sex with him. Before you can do anything, your phone vibrates against your stomach.
N: I’m downstairs, can you buzz me up?
You must have missed the sound of the intercom thanks to your headphones. Instead of buzzing him into the building, you grab your bag and head downstairs, only taking your headphones off once you’re safely out of earshot of Hannah’s bedroom.
Nick is standing right outside when you open the door of your apartment building. If he’s surprised that you came downstairs, he doesn’t show it. Instead, he crowds you back into the lobby and kisses you. Nick’s arms wrap around your waist, holding you tight to him as he kisses you with an intensity that takes your breath away. His full lips are soft against yours. When his tongue dips into your mouth, your knees nearly buckle. It’s been too long.
“We can’t stay here,” you blurt out as soon as he breaks the kiss. You curl your fingers around the lapel of his blazer, trying to keep him close even as you tell him he has to leave. He frowns down at you.
“I thought your roommate-”
“Her boyfriend surprised her. Can we go to yours?” Given that he’d been willing to spend the night with you, you feel safe in assuming that neither of his children are around. And despite the vague, ill-defined boundaries the two of you have tried to establish, you’ve spent entire weekends at Nick’s place before. Nick sighs deeply, bumping his forehead against yours.
“There was an accident on FDR Drive, the traffic’ll be terrible.” He groans, arms still holding you close. You know he must be feeling as frustrated and needy as you do.
“If it gets really bad, we could always just fuck in the car,” you say teasingly. “Take the edge off.” At least that makes him chuckle, the corner of his eyes crinkling as he smiles. Keeping one arm around your waist, he leads you back through the front door.
“You’re a menace, kid.” Nick squeezes your waist as the two of you walk towards his car. “You cannot send me photos like that when I’m on a stakeout with Benson.”
“Photos like what?” You ask, widening your eyes in feigned innocence as you open the car door. “You mean like the one where my tits were practically falling out of my bra and-”
“Yes, like that. I work in sex crimes, it’s a bad look if I get turned on at work.” He slides into the driver’s seat, and you don’t miss the lingering look he gives your legs as he throws his blazer into the backseat. His shirtsleeves are rolled up, and you can’t help admiring his forearms.
“I don’t recall you complaining.” You cross your legs, letting the lace of your thigh-highs show. “In fact, shall we review the evidence?” You retrieve your phone from your bag, opening your messages from Nick.
“You’re not funny,” Nick starts, but he’s doing a poor job of attempting to sound grumpy. You make yourself comfortable in the passenger seat as he starts to drive, scrolling back through your messages.
“I’m not trying to be funny, Detective, I’m making my case. You said that I can’t send you photos like that when you’re at work, but here you are straight after the fabulous photo of my tits telling me ‘they’d look even better with my come on them’.” You watch gleefully as Nick’s hands tighten on the steering wheel; there’s little you enjoy more than attempting to rile Nick up like this. He’s doing a very good job of pretending to be unaffected, but you can see the faint smile playing at the corner of his mouth.
“Guilty.”
“And at one-thirteen AM the same night, you sent me a very vivid description of what you were thinking about while you jerked off. Do you need me to refresh your memory, Detective?” You can’t even complain about the lack of photos on his part; the texts he had sent back had been plenty descriptive.
“I was there, I remember.” Nick’s smirking now, that roguish grin that you love. The two of you seem to have hit the traffic that he warned about, but you keep going.
“I’ll remind you anyway. That long message, telling me that you got yourself off thinking about the time you fingerfucked me under the table at that dive bar downtown. How badly you wished you’d taken me into the bathroom and fucked me in one of the stalls. It was quite the text to wake up to.” You prop your feet up on the dashboard, your skirt riding even higher around your thighs. The motion draws Nick’s eyes, and you can practically feel his gaze dragging over your skin.
“Well, I hope it at least gave you something nice to think about while you were in your staff meeting.”
“Oh, it did. One of the few upsides of being a woman; you can be as turned on as you like in public, nobody’ll ever know.” The traffic is inching forwards, but you feel like you could crawl out of your skin with how aroused you feel. You glance over at Nick, pleased to see he appears to be suffering as much as you are.
The two of you have spent the better part of the week engaged in long-distance foreplay; being alone but unable to do anything has to be driving him as insane as it is you.
“You think you’re that good at hiding it?” Nick asks, taking advantage of a red light to turn his head and look you in the eye. “If anyone would have looked twice at you in that bar, they would have known.”
“That’s different, you were edging me. Everybody can see if a guy gets hard in public; if a girl gets wet, nobody sees.” You tilt your head, examining the cars around you. Before you can change your mind, you lift your hips up just enough to be able to hook your fingers into the waistband of your underwear and slide them off.
“What are you doing?” Nick asks, barely blinking as you toss the damp black lace over your shoulder into the backseat. You tug your skirt back down just enough to cover yourself and give a nonchalant shrug.
“Thinking of ways to save time when we finally get out of this car-” you start, a horn from the car behind you cutting you off. The traffic has inched forward since Nick took his eyes off the road, and he turns his attention back to it now.
“I told you the traffic would be terrible.”
“What would you have preferred, we stay at my place and try fucking to the sounds of Hannah and her boyfriend going at it in the next room? Or should we have gone to the precinct and done it there?” You tease, yelping when he playfully slaps your thigh. He keeps his hand on your thigh, his thumb stroking over the black lace of your stocking.
“I hate that you have a roommate.”
“Sorry, Detective, we don’t all make six-figure salaries. With what the paper pays me, you’re lucky it’s just the one roommate and not five. And I definitely wouldn’t live close enough to the precinct for you to come over on your lunch break when you need to take the edge off.” You cover his hand on your thigh with your own, squeezing gently.
His skin feels burning hot against yours, even with the barrier of your stocking. You tip your head back against the seat, any clever comment dying on your tongue. His fingers are so close to where you want them, just inches away from the apex of your thighs.
You let your eyes flutter closed, your imagination running wild. In the dark corner of a dive bar with a table obscuring his hands had been one thing; you’re not sure Nick is actually bold enough to slide his hand higher, where anybody could look through the window and see.
Still, the idea alone has your breath catching in your chest, your legs spreading subtly wider. The tension in the car is so thick, you crack your window just to let some fresh air in.
“You get bored of reading out sexts?” Nick asks, and you don’t even have to open your eyes to know that he’s smirking at you.
“I made my point,” you manage, hyperfocused on Nick’s thumb stroking your thigh. It’s such a light, gentle touch, but you’re so pent up that even that is driving you to distraction. In fact, it distracts you so well that it takes you a while to notice that the car is moving faster than it should be if you were still stuck in traffic.
“Did we get past the traffic already?” You ask, opening your eyes finally. The road certainly looks clearer, but you’re not entirely sure which borough you’re even in right now. Nick’s hand is still on your thigh, but he’s focusing on driving.
“No, I ah- I’m taking one of your suggestions.” It’s all the explanation he offers. You frown, trying to remember what you’ve said.
“I wasn’t serious about fucking in the precinct. Not that it wouldn’t be kinda hot, but Benson seems like she could be really scary-”
“We’re not going to the precinct,” he says evenly. Your frown deepens and you glance around, searching for some clue as to where Nick is driving you. The streets are growing quieter, and you swallow thickly when you realise he’s driving somewhere that the two of you won’t be seen. Nick seems to know where he’s going; you trust him.
It’s not long before Nick pulls into a nondescript parking garage. Your heart is beating so fast that your chest aches. Neither of you speaks as Nick finds a space tucked away behind a pillar and parks, as though some sort of spell has settled over you both and a single word will shatter it.
You can’t actually be about to do this. One of you will break. One of you has to.
Your seatbelt clicks softly as you release it, but the sound echoes through the space like a starting pistol. Nick undoes his own, his hands finding you before you can open your mouth to ask about positioning and dragging you across the car, onto his lap. You situate yourself as best as you can in the confined space, banging your head on the roof of the car as you try and straddle him.
Nick’s hand slides into your hair, cupping the back of your head and pulling you in for a kiss. If the kiss in the lobby was intense, then you don’t have a word to describe this one. You can’t breathe, but it doesn’t matter. You could die a happy woman, being kissed like this; Nick’s tongue licking against yours, a low sound rumbling through his chest as he pulls you closer.
Your fingers find the buckle of Nick’s belt, your back curving awkwardly to give yourself the space to move. There’ll be no finesse here, but the two of you are long past caring. It doesn’t take you long to undo his belt and pants, and you feel his breath hitch when you slide your hand under his waistband.
He’s already rock-hard to your touch, and Nick breaks the kiss to moan into your neck as you take him out. His breath is hot against your skin, his hands sliding down to grasp your hips. With your free hand, you clutch his shoulder as you align the tip of his cock with your entrance and slowly sink down onto him.
You feel every inch of him stretching your soft walls. The consequences of no physical foreplay, though you’re at least wet enough that it doesn’t hurt. You bite your lip, trapping a moan in your mouth. Nick’s fingers flex on your hips. It’s rare that he lets you ride him and you can feel him itching to find a degree of control in the situation.
You tip forward when he bottoms out inside you, burying your face against his shoulder to stifle your moan. One of your hands clutches at his bicep; the other grabs a fistful of his shirt over his free shoulder. A full-body shudder runs through Nick, and he gasps against your neck.
“Oh fuck, baby-” he chokes out, his grip on your hips so tight you wonder if it might bruise. You’re not even moving, but that familiar heat is already radiating out through your body, lighting up your nerve endings. You keep your face pressed against Nick’s shoulder as you give a testing pull of your hips upward.
He hisses into your neck through gritted teeth, every muscle he has held taut as he tries to cling onto a degree of restraint.
“There’s not enough room in here, is there?” You ask in a whisper, your voice hitching as you sink back down onto him. “You can’t grab my hips and bounce me on your cock like you want to; I’d hit my head.” You feel his low groan reverberate through his chest. Knowing you need to be quick, you start to fuck yourself onto him, riding him as best as you can in the cramped space.
Nick brings one of his hands up to cup the top of your head, keeping your face tucked against his neck. With your head still, he rolls his hips to meet your movements. The shallow thrusts make the head of his cock push up tight against your g-spot with every pass, sending pleasure lancing through you. You turn your head to moan against his shoulder, muffling the sound in his shirt.
“That’s it, baby, ride me,” Nick manages, his voice tight. “You feel so fucking good, my perfect girl, just like that-” He knows hearing him will help you get over the edge - ever the gentleman, wanting to make sure you come first.
He needn’t have worried. The sheer relief of being with him again after wanting him for what felt like weeks, and the illicit nature of what you’re doing gives everything a sharper edge. You’re so wet you can feel your slick halfway down your thighs.
It’s dirty and fucked-up, and it’s so fucking perfect.
“Oh Nick-” you pant into his shoulder. Your whole body is thrumming, like you’ve touched a live wire. “You make me feel so full, wanna feel you all the time, fuck-” You’re rambling, careening closer to that orgasmic high. Another low groan rips through Nick as your cunt clamps down around him, muffled by him nipping at your neck. The feeling of his teeth on the delicate skin is enough to send you over the edge.
You chant his name mindlessly as you come, your face pressed so tightly against his shoulder to muffle your voice that you can’t breathe. Everything in you pulls tight and then lets go, delicious heat racing through your body until you can feel it in your toes.
The force of it makes you sag forwards against Nick, boneless. He takes over, rocking deeper and pulling you tighter against his body. You swear you feel his cock throb inside of you, the feeling making your cunt clamp down around him in turn.
Nick groans into your neck as he spills inside you, filling you up as he holds you as tightly as he can without hurting you. You’re both breathing raggedly; neither of you tries to move for a long moment.
“I can’t believe we just did that,” Nick murmurs eventually. You can’t help but snicker, your head still resting against his shoulder. You hear the click as he cracks his window; you assume the glass has steamed up. You resist the urge to swipe your hand against it like Rose in Titanic.
“Me either. Nicholas Amaro, SVU Detective, fucking a girl in public,” you tut teasingly. Your knees are starting to ache, but it’s not enough to make you move just yet; you’re enjoying being draped over Nick like this, still split open by his cock.
“What can I say? You’re a terrible influence, kid. I can never seem to get enough of you.”
“Oh, I’m the bad influence?” You sit up, shuddering at the feeling of him shifting inside of you. He’s giving you that smile; the one that oozes charm and shows off his dimples. Before you can object further, he kisses you. It’s softer this time, unhurried. You could stay here for hours under different circumstances.
“The worst,” Nick murmurs when he pulls away, running his hand down your back. “You incited a cop into committing a misdemeanour.”
“You were the one driving”, you point out. “If you wanted me to behave myself, you could have handcuffed me and ignored me ‘til we got back to your place.”
“Oh, don’t worry. The handcuffs’ll be waiting for you when I get you home.”
A Night Out Dancing
Tomorrow your party will reach JuLai. Tonight Wolfwood wants to dance.
thank you @/firein-thesky for commissioning this piece for the @ficsforgaza collaboration
Tumblr media
The sky above No Man’s Land is inky and starless. The air stale and still. Despite the hour, the world around you is oppressively warm and dry. Nights in the desert are usually bitterly cold. You’re not sure what’s gotten into the weather today.
Vash at least doesn’t seem plagued by strange temperature, but then Vash can sleep through anything, including Meryl’s jerky driving, so the comparison isn’t fair. Meryl’s fast asleep too, tucked neatly into the driver’s seat. You watch her toss and turn for a while, wondering what she dreams of. Someplace nice, hopefully. Somewhere lush and flourishing and green.
Even Roberto seems to have found sleep, albeit at the bottom of a bottle. He’s snoring gently in the passenger seat, mouth wide open, empty liquor bottle still clutched tightly in his hands.
Seems everyone’s immune to the hot desert night but you.
There’s a chance it isn’t the heat keeping you up. It’s possible you’re making excuses, blaming the external world around you for your insomnia so you don’t have to turn inward, so you don’t have to confront your building anxieties about what the future holds for your little traveling party. It’s going to crack and splinter apart, isn’t it? Like that land mass you once read about in a book that spoke of some far away planet called Earth. Pangaea. A supercontinent forced apart by shifting tectonic plates.
Tomorrow, you’ll reach JuLai, and everyone will drift away from you. You’ll spend the rest of your life trying to remember what it felt like to be whole.
Fuck it. If you’re not gonna get some shut eye, you may as well make yourself useful.
Wolfwood is perched on a sand dune, resting against his cross shaped gun, lit cigarette in hand, nearly burnt down to the filter. He takes one final drag of it as he sees you approach, then snubs the thing out in the sand.
“I’ll take over the watch,” you tell him, eyes drawn to the little ‘o’ shape his mouth makes as he lazily releases the final dregs of smoke.
“Not your turn yet, sweetheart,” he replies. “Go back to sleep.”
If only you could.
“Haven’t been able to. Too much shit on my mind. No sense in my staring at the back of my eyelids when I could be doing this instead.”
Wolfwood stares at you through tinted shades he hasn’t bothered to remove despite the darkness of the night. The glasses are a part of his costume, of his carefully crafted mask that even after months of travelling together he’s still hiding behind. He told you he’s an undertaker, but he dresses like a priest. On a runaway Sandsteamer, you learn he is an orphan. You’ve learned nothing since.
“You should take better care of yourself,” he says, as if caring for yourself is easy.
“You’re one to talk,” you reply, eyes giving him a quick once over. It’s been a few days since you’ve spent the night somewhere with a working bathroom. Without a mirror or razor, the stubble on his chin has grown more and more pronounced. The hairs suit him, you think. Your fingers itch to run along his jaw.
“You’re staring,” he observes, mouth crooking into a smug grin because the undertaker or priest or whatever the fuck he is knows how handsome he is.
“Am I?”
Wolfwood stands slowly, brushing beads of sand off him as he does so. You try to keep your eyes on his face, on the slope of his nose, the dimples on his cheeks, but they wander anyway, along his broad shoulders, down his tiny waist. You’ll miss him when this is over, you decide.
“Wanna dance?” he asks suddenly. The question throws you off kilter. How long has it been since you’ve done something so mundane? Will you even remember how? Is it appropriate to dance given what tomorrow may bring?
“What about-”
“Needle-noggin and the lot are out like a light. No one will notice if we steal a few minutes for ourselves.”
He closes the gap between the two of you and links his right hand with yours, fingers interlocking. His hands are large and calloused from lugging around that heavy gun of his. Briefly, you wonder just how strong the guy really is.
 “But there isn’t any music,” you protest weakly. Wolfwood is frustratingly good at sapping away your resolve.
“Don’t need any. We’ll make our own,” he insists, slipping an arm around the small of your back and pressing you close, closer, and closer still.
This close to him, you can see deep into his eyes. There’s fear in them. Sadness too. He’s trying and failing to mask the emotions with a smile, with this dance. It must be so exhausting, you think, always having to pretend.
“One dance,” you surrender, relaxing into his embrace. He smells sharply of tobacco and nicotine, though you note hints of something a bit earthier underneath. Sweat, probably. It’s been a while since any of you have showered. “Then bed. Unlike you and Vash, some of us need our beauty sleep.”
A lopsided grin swims across his handsome face.
 “Aw, think I’m beautiful, sweetheart? That’s nice.”
There’s a biting remark on the tip of your tongue that never fully forms. Yeah, actually, you do think he’s beautiful. You’ve thought so ever since Meryl slammed the news van into him all those months ago. The impact should have killed him—it would’ve killed you—but Wolfwood simply rose up from the sand as if rising from an interrupted slumber. Beautiful, even with rivulets of blood trickling down his face.
“Shut up,” you hiss, cheeks heating as you think a bit too intensely about his sturdy body which is now pressed flush against your own. Has Wolfwood always been this tall? This large? His giant frame engulfs you as the two of you sway together, in tandem with Wolfwood’s quiet humming.
You rest your head against his sternum, listening to the sound of his heart beating quick and urgent like the wings of a bird. His chest vibrates as he hums his tune. You can’t seem to place the song. Likely, he’s making it up as he goes, the tempo slow and somber like a dirge.
“Where’d you learn to dance?” you ask him, conscious of the way your two left feet have nearly tripped him up twice. Lucky for you both he’s not just a hulking lump of muscle. He’s got a great center of balance too.
You chalk your awkwardness up to the loose, shifting sands and not to the odd sensation forming in the pit of your stomach. More unfamiliar than unpleasant. You swallow a few times in an attempt to settle it.
Wolfwood shrugs, spinning the two of you round and round in circles. “It’s not all that different than fighting.”
There’s truth to that, you suppose, remembering the fight on the Sandsteamer. Wolfwood refused to talk about the stranger you all watched disappear into the open maw of the sand ocean, but it was obvious the man once meant something to him.
“You’re thinking too much,” he says. “Just follow my lead.”
So you do. You let him whirl you around the desert dunes for what feels like hours, grinning up at him through thick lashes when you manage to step on his toes. Again. He laughs, a little too loudly, and you have to remind him that if he’s not careful he’ll wake your sleeping companions.
“What are you going to do if everything goes well tomorrow?”
For the first time all night, it’s Wolfwood who stumbles. The misstep is small, slight, if you weren’t so entangled, you may have missed it, but you are entangled so you feel everything. You feel his feet stall as the question leaves your lips. You feel the rise and fall of his belly as he takes a deep steadying breath.
His hand travels up the length of your spine, coming to rest at the nape of your neck. He thumbs across your vertebrae and you recognize the ministration for what it is: a silent plea for you to let the topic drop and just enjoy this moment the two of you managed to carve out for yourselves amidst all the chaos of the world.
You let your head drop once more, tucking it beneath his collarbone, right above his heart, still rabbiting in his chest. He isn’t humming anymore. There’s nothing to help the two of you keep time as you continue to sway together, now gliding across the sand like worms.
Around you, the clouds begin to clear and bright, twinkling stars start to peek out from behind them. A soft breeze kicks up around you, and the sand particles scatter with it. Wolfwood—Nicholas—keeps you pressed against him as the temperature mercifully begins to drop.
Your mind still wanders from time to time, curious what tomorrow may bring.
Who cares, you decide. It doesn’t matter.
Tonight, you’re content to dance.
Safety Blanket
Tumblr media
Pairing- Steve Harrington x GN!reader
Warnings- Friends to lovers, nightmares, PTSD, fluff, kinda cliche, sharing a bed.
A/N- Um, so I didn’t have service or wifi for over 24 hours and was so deprived of fics that I wrote a bunch.
Tumblr media
Another night spent at the Harrington household, your home away from home. With Steve’s parents being gone so often, you had become used to staying over on nights where he didn’t feel like being alone in the big empty house.
Tonight was one of those nights, where you found yourself nestled beside him on the couch, watching whatever VHS he had put in the player, the light from the television being the only thing to illuminate your faces. You were ever aware of the presence of his hand on your hip, the way his breath fanned across your neck, it was all just enough to make your heart flutter, and your cheeks warm.
“You doin’ okay? I know it’s getting late and you don’t like your sleep gettin’ messed up.” Steve says softly, tucking a lock of your hair behind your ear.
“I might go to bed if you’re okay with it.” You reply, tone just as soft and sweet as his.
“Alright sweetheart, go rest.” The pet name makes your whole body warm, sending a shock through you.
You bid him good night and walked to the guest room, a place that started to feel more like your bedroom than the one at your own home. Your body relaxed against the soft bed, closing your eyes and laying for a moment before shedding your clothes, opting for just an old tee and some small sleep shorts. The second you tucked yourself under the light blue covers, you were fast asleep, body and mind exhausted from the day.
Tumblr media
About an hour after you fell asleep, you were awoken by Steve loudly whispering your name.
“Y/n, wake up.” He spoke again, rubbing your shoulder gently.
“What’s wrong Stevie?” Your sleep-filled voice, somehow still sounding as if it was drenched with honey. The sound of your voice drawling out the sweet nickname made his heart melt.
“Can- will- will you come sleep in my room with me? Or can I sleep in here?” He asks quickly, worried you’d freak out and think he was weird or something.
“Sure, let’s go to your bed.” Some of the sleep had cleared from your voice, and he let out a sigh of relief as you got out of bed.
Steve kept a firm hold on your hand as the two of you ascended the steps to his room, his other arm encircling your waist to keep you close.
Once in his room, the two of you were quietly tucked into bed beside each other. Although it was a bit awkward at first, he eventually settled on slinging an arm around your waist, his other hand beneath his head. As he drifted to sleep, you lay awake, focused on the way his perfect pink lips were parted as he softly breathed. You felt like a bit of a creep, but tried to push the thought away, instead, opting to close your eyes and lull yourself into a calm sleep.
Tumblr media
You were woken up at around 2 in the morning to Steve elbowing you. Your first instinct was to push him away, or to leave the bed, but when you looked over, he was curled up, seemingly having some sort of distressing dream. You reached an arm out, grasping his shoulder and loudly whispering his name, the same as he’d done to you earlier.
After a few seconds, he shot up, eyes wide with fear.
“Hey, hey, just me, it’s just me.” You soothe, rubbing his back in a calming manner.
“I- I- everyone was gone, a hole opened up and everyone just fell in and was gone. You, Dustin, Nance, everyone.” You could hear the sheer panic in his voice. Your chest felt tight with worry, wondering how long he’d been struggling with this.
“Hey, hey, I’m right here, we’re all safe, everyone is okay.” Your calm voice wavered a bit, unsure if your words were helping. Before you could do much more, his face was tucked in the crook of your neck, arms holding you close. As you wrapped your arms around, you could feel hot tears hitting your neck. You continued to rub his back, allowing him to pour out all his emotions.
“M’sorry I’m like this.” He says in a broken whisper, guilt filling him.
“No, no, s’okay, just let it all out.” You soothe, and you can hear his sobs slowly stop. He picks his head up from the crook of your neck, long eyelashes dotted with tears like morning dew covered the grass. His under eyes were puffy and red, his eyes hazy and unfocused. “Hey, it’s alright, you’re allowed to be upset, especially after everything that’s happened.” You smiled sweetly, brushing his hair from his face before caressing his cheek, wiping a stray tear.
“God, I was so scared, you were gone and I never told you-.” He suddenly stops himself, shaking his head.
“What? What did you not say?” You ask, heart beating a bit faster at the idea of him possibly reciprocating feelings.
“I- I never told you that I loved you.” He says quietly, dropping his head in shame. “I- I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that.” He apologizes quietly.
“Hey, Stevie, look at me. I love too, so much, always have baby.” Your voice shakes as you speak, and before you can get anything else out, his lips were pressed to yours. The kiss started tentative and slow, not sure of whether or not this was okay, but as he felt your lips begin to move, he kissed back with equal fervor. His tongue proded at your lips, causing you to part them, allowing him entrance. His tongue massages against yours, and you push him down on the bed, straddling him and kissing him deeper the before. He finally pulled away, gasping for breath as you clambered off him.
“Jesus Christ- I didn’t think that’d be happening tonight.” His voice was breathless, cheeks rosy and lips swollen and red. You didn’t think anyone could be prettier than he was right now, staring up at you with his blown-out pupils.
“Neither did I, but I’m glad it happened.” You say with a smile, laying down beside him and holding him close.
“We should sleep sweetheart, I think I’ll be fine now that you’re here, you’re like a safety blanket.” Needless to say, you’d spend many more nights in his bed.
