ANONYMOUS SENT [T8 SPOILERS] . . .
tbf, as a certified Kazuya Stan™️, I am hoping Jin's ending is the canon one (if the two endings are truly THAT divergent from one another at all), only because it seems we are following his story throughout all tekken 8, so for him to lose in the end would kinda be unsatisfactory in a narrative way. Even if I do like Kazuya just slightly more as a character and his victory would be kinda nice to see short term, seeing him canonically get his way at his most morally wrong and leaving him unchallenged wouldnt be a very satisfying development of his character for me, he needs his son to knock him down a peg, Jin getting both of them rid of the devil gene is a good start if it turns out true. Besides, I'm fairly confident that (in at least Jin's ending) none of them are going to die, so if Jin dies in Kazuya's ending, I'm going to be a bit pissed. I need them BOTH to make it out alive.
Anyway, here's my two cents as a Kazuya fan to show in good faith that some of us arent rooting for Jin's loss or demise 😊 Go Son Boy
Tumblr media
Yeah, who knows how the endings will play out and what exactly it means by "[character] is victorious." Hell, it could end where they BOTH die in battle, but the outcome only changes who technically "wins".
But YEAH!! Even tho I love love love Jin and I'm a major Jin Fan, I am NOT actively rooting for Kazuya's downfall! I'm not wishing he'd get killed by Jin or anything. I still enjoy Kazuya's character so very much! However, I don't think he should win because uh... yeah. Kazuya's the one actively threatening to wipe out countries and Jin isn't (anymore LOL). I just don't get why ppl can't just... be normal and just realize you can LIKE BOTH CHARACTERS??? Or at the very least, just because you like one character - doesn't mean you have to be vocal about your hatred for another. I just find it kinda childish. 🙄 Anyway, I hope Kazuya loses 'cos the world NEEDS him to, but he doesn't have to die! And I know canonically, Jin deserves to die... but daaamn, I'll just feel bad if he has to die over bad writing that screwed him over. So, I'll be very sad if he dies, too.
And don't worry... I don't think Kazuya fans are bad lol! It's just those types that get under my skin. Usually, I only see them on Reddit - but granted, I don't browse the tags often (if at all) on Tumblr, so who knows. I'm sure there are plenty of fans like that for Jin, too. But... strangely, I just don't come across them often - Reddit seems VERY vocal about their opinion regarding Kazuya. But that may be because Reddit is full of pretentious people who think they can survive in Kazuya's "survival of the fittest" world.

Kind of a dissection of the c!dream smp folx and their viewpoints?? Yea
Almost every memeber involved in the primary plot of Dream smp, is in fact, selfish.
Not a single Character can, or refuses, to understand a perspective different from their own.
Most notably, Tommy and Techno refuse to understand each other’s side, which although could be shoved in a closet and shut for a considerable amount of time, eventually breaks out through a catalyst, and tears them apart.
Techno is right! He has been seen solely as a weapon by every member on the L’manberg side dubbed "The Blade" unwillingly and has been taken advantage of for his skill and blood god tendencies. Techno has always been upfront with his intentions, never ignoring them, and has never truly done an act of betrayal. Government can be bad, and in his eyes, chaos is the only answer to this.
Tommy is also right! He is a child abused by years of political warfare, manipulation, and has grown into intense trust issues, needing attention, and extreme loyalty and protection to those he deems worthy of it. Tommy never dreamed of siding with techno when his home was destroyed by him on November 16th. But when Tommy came to his lowest point ever, he crawled his way to the only protection he knew, his brother. Like I said, Tommy and techno could sweep their political views aside for the time being, and I’d like to believe that they really loved each other’s company. Tommy’s helmet, sneaking into L’manberg, being deemed "worthy" of the Axe of Peace, Tommy put the past behind him. I think that when Tommy told techno that he betrayed him again today, it wasn’t necessarily from his home being destroyed in totality. It was that he let himself trust techno again, and his brother hurt him. Just like every other brother he’s had. Just like his father. Tommy is allowed to be upset at everyone for ignoring him in exile, and while I’m sure that some of the peoples intentions when seeing him weren’t pity, they only visited him once and never again. Quackity simply came to make fun of him, not consoling him when he clearly needed friends. He’s right when he says he was abandoned, and if Tubbo missed him so much, he should have gone and seen him.
Tubbo struggles with being president, being completely destroyed by others comparisons to the first President of L’manberg, and his manipulator. He’s been kept under the thumb of Dream since his country has been rebuilt, and has no other option but to comply with exiling his best friend when pushed too far in one direction. Tubbo wanted to see Tommy in exile. He realized it was a mistake. But Tommy never fully disclosed to Tubbo what happened to him in exile. Instead of understanding, Tubbo gets angry when he realizes that Tommy is still alive. Tommy gets upset that Tubbo never visited him. Tommy says some things that root from anger and abandonment, that were meant for someone else who wears a mask and holds tnt in one hand and obsidian in the other. Tubbo was never graced with the knowledge of Tommy’s exile trauma, and therefore can’t know what Tommy’s been though.
Philza refuses to understand Ghostburs pain, simply saying "youll understand one day", instead of consoling his son who has to pay for the destruction of his home and belongings his father caused in favor of his brother, who worked for peace and love and was met with the cold response of his father not even apologizing nor sympathizing his sons pain. He can’t put his own anarchism ideals to the side for a second to allow his son to FEEL.
Niki is left behind. She’s talked over, had everything stolen from her, has her kindness used as a weapon against herself, and has been met with nothing but harshness from the people she gave love to. She has a right to be angry. She has a right to hate Tommy.
Ranboo is seen as a traitor to the country that he never sought alliance to. He’s seen as an indecisive amnesiac who can’t understand the basic concept of a country (when in reality he does, and he still doesn’t care) ((If you ask me, Ranboo is right. You should chose people, not countries. ))
Most of these problems stem from c!Tommy, we can all agree. Tommy is tunnel visioned, and has been purely seeking the discs for quite a long time. The thing is, that if people just TALKED, to one another, maybe L’manberg wouldnt be gone right now.
These people are selfish.
If Tommy realized that techno is tired, and wants to be seen as a friend more than a weapon, that Tubbo deserves to be a kid again, just like himself, that Niki deserves fucking respect, and that ranboo isn’t a traitor for having friends, then maybe L’manberg would still be here.
Techno doesn’t fully understand Tommy’s trauma, and is concerned only with the destruction of government (which frankly shouldn’t have been built right in front of him), to which would never have affected him in retirement. He doesn’t understand Tubbo trying his best to lead the country handed to him at too young of an age, but instead sees him as a ruler of a government, therefore he =bad.
Niki doesn’t know that Tommy went through absolute hell in exile, that he wasn’t going to be there for the festival if things got any worse, and that he is genuinely trying to be better.
These people are selfish. While their causes matter, they will never look at the other side. They will never understand why there’s conflict, why someone is angry with them. And that’s why we will always have interpersonal conflict between almost every character on the smp. They all refuse to cast their own views aside, to understand how others are affected by their actions (aside from Niki, I don’t think she’s ever done anything wrong on the server)
President Wilbur used to have a rule, a law in place for dignity and integrity. To always fight violence with words. You see what happens when you hold a sword, a wither skull, a parcel of tnt, rather than the hand of your opposite.

HOME| DRACO MALFOY X READER
HOME|DRACO MALFOY X READER
During the hogwarts battle, Draco Malfoy is called over by his father, although, Halfblood Slytherin, Y/n L/n doesn’t agree with this and she’ll fight for the boy she’s had a crush on for years. She wont let all the flirting, the awesome friendship and obvious tension between the two go to waste, not now, not after how long she’s spent with malfoy.
Fluff, kinda angst ig, sad kinda idk. FRED DOESNT DIE because WE LOVE FRED
Warnings: One curse word
Kinda short
‘Home a place where i can go’
The battle was brutal, i just wish this whole thing was over, or it was just a dream, but it wasn’t a dream. I was actually standing here, with a bunch of students, my best friend, Draco Malfoy, right next to me, Voldemort in the middle and all the death eaters on the other side. All except one, Draco. I knew this time would come, i was just hoping it wouldnt be soon, i havent even admitted my feelings yet. He wont go with his family, right? He knows better, right?
“Potter’s dead. There’s no point in fighting anymore” Voldemort smiled. He’s truly evil, how Could you smile at a time like this? “Draco! Come with us!” Lucius Malfoy says. Draco looks as if hes on the verge of tears, his eyes look around, pain in them. “C’mon Draco, you heard your father, join us, join your family” Voldemort says. I look over at Draco. “Please Draco, don’t go.” I whisper, tears filling my eyes. “What are you saying young woman?” Lucius says. “I said nothing” i reply, quickly. “I’m sorry.” Draco whispers, beginning to walk to the other side. I grab his arm, pulling him towards me. “You cant go, you cant leave me Malfoy.” Tears stream down my cheeks. He looks into my eyes, obviously hurt. “I have to.” He says. “No you dont, its your path, your family doesn’t decide your path” I say. I pull Draco in, putting my arms around him.
I hold him tightly, leaning in, my lips touching his soft ones. Draco responded immediately, kissing me back. It felt as if this moment was built up, as if we have been waiting for years, which we have and this moment has finally come. It felt like my world was spinning, electricity traveling through my whole body, like everyone and everything was disappearing, we weren’t in the middle of a battlefield. We are just two teenagers finally connecting after all that time, it was just us. He grabbed my waist, pulling me closer. I pulled away, breathing heavily. I put my head on his chest. “Stay. Please. Don’t leave me” i whisper. Draco puts his hand under my chin, lifting my head. “I won’t, i won’t leave you, i promise” He whispers before giving me a small peck on the lips and then giving me a kiss on the forehead.
Draco turns around, facing his family. “Young Man! Get over here THIS INSTANT! Enough Stalling!” Dracos father raises his stern voice. “Listen to your father Draco” Narcissa says. “NO!” Draco says, grabbing my hand. “But we’re your family.” She says. “No you arent, My only family is Hogwarts. You’ve forced me to make the wrong decisions My whole life. Everything i did for you guys, it was never enough” Tears streamed down Dracos face, hes never cried before, in front of people at least. “This girl is hypnotizing you! YOURE CHANGING MY SON! HOW DARE YOU” Lucius yelled at me. “It’s not her! This is my decision!” Draco yells back. “You dont deserve to be dracos father! He has worked hard his whole life, hes tried his best for you but you’ve always shut him down. This is your fault!” I yell.
“STUPEFY” “NOO! Y/N” was all i heard before everything went black.
‘Someone take me home’
“HOW COULD YOU” Draco screams, rushing to Y/n, who flew back due to the blast, unconscious. “PETRIFICUS TOTALUS” He yells, casting the spell at his father. “LUCIUS” Narcissa yells out, rushing to her husband.
A couple hours later
My eyes began to open, seeing people around me. I sat up, quickly. “Where’s Voldemort, i have to beat him, is everyone okay?” I rambled. “Hey, hey, hey, its okay, everything’s okay, we beat Voldemort.” Draco smiled. “HARRY?” I practically yell. Harry smiles, walking over to the bed. “You’re alive?” I ask. “Of course.” He says. “I’m glad you guys are here.” I say, tears streaming down my cheeks. “We wouldn’t leave you” Hermione says. “Yea what she said” Ron smiles. I giggle, crying. Draco hugs me. “You’re beautiful, even when you cry.” He whispers into my ear. “We’ll give you guys a moment” Ron winks and walks out of the room, Hermione and harry following.
“I’m glad you’re okay.” Draco says. “Did you really mean that kiss or was it just to get me to stay?” He rubs his neck. “Of course i meant that kiss, dumbass. I like you, i have, for years.” I say smiling. “I can say the same” Draco smiles, leaning in, my lips touching his. Butterflies swarm my stomach again. I wrap my arms around his neck, our lips moving together, like they were made for eachother. We kissed until we lost our breath. “Do you wanna be my girlfriend, Y/n?” Draco asks. “Of course!” I giggled, kissing him again.

okay finally making thorough post abt sgrs ending for just future reference for anyone if they are interested in watching bc i do think its important to know first.. tried to keep it as spoiler free as possible other than the obvious and sry for the length kajshdf but anyways i am going to put the rest under a read more ♥️ and cw incest mention
ok i am gonna try to make this as comprehensible as possible i have had a few stabs at this already w friends so hope this goes well bc there's a lot to unpack abt this but the first thing to understand abt it is 1) imo the twist u are given is ABSOLUTELY a fucking lie and given the amnt of times i have now seen the show i feel very confident in this, and 2) it is a very easy scene to note the start of and then skip which i will mention @ the end..
all right so no stalling getting into the twist itself and then uh. explaining after. but first assuming no context for what sgrs is about:
the story is largely abt like family what it means etc following the course of one mans life! he has an adopted daughter child of ex-beard and ex-man he was in love with his whole life who passed away and they have a very complicated difficult relationship and a major part of s2 is about them beginning to repair that as they both get older and what happens when she has a baby and he actually finds himself unexpectedly loving being a grandfather and it being like his second chance to have a child in his life and treat him with the warmth and kindness he failed to show his daughter when she was younger but also just spoiling him rotten in true grandparent fashion askfhksndbf... it is all very sweet and moving. thing abt mr baby is his mom has him on her own no father in the picture it provides at one point an explanation for who the bio father may be with somewhat of an implication that may not rly be who it is i am so sorry if you can already see where this is going promise there will only be like one more sentence of this and then i can explain AKSJD.
THUS the mind numbingly evil bit is a side character at the end going up to the daughter years after protags death and going wink wink u know all this time i must admit i had a theory abt who your sons father was.. and this evil little man rly suggests the protag was her sons father like jfc and of course bc the authors evil she rly left it w konatsu just going well >:) whos to say. i am never gonna answer that question tho.
OKAY SO ONTO LIKE CONTEXT bc i had none when i first watched and i will say this sent me spiraling a bit my god my god.
FIRST THING. i do wanna explain why its a plain ass lie but i also need to clarify in no way is it excusable as a writing decision.. the author is a supremely fucked up woman who i do not intend to excuse for anything she has written esp this and my take on her um. decision making here was more like a fucked up reference to evil tropes than utilizing them herself bc i wouldnt put it past her to have done that frankly but it wouldve had to simply be a different story than it was. absolutely no quarrel w someone who doesnt want to watch it given all this like it really is... yeah. also no need to touch the manga the animes better anyways lol
2) ok if u are still reading... i think context for who is saying what is very important it is a man who you are consistently told has had it out for the protagonist for YEARS and really is shown to have something just a little off about him the evil shit he will sometimes say out of the blue building up to this... he is NOT framed as a reliable source of info. secondly like konatsu truly is his daughter man her freakishly evasive reply if it were abt anything else truly would be funny i hate it here
3) i am not gonna bother listing all the reasons it is false bc it would be way too long unless anyone wants 2 ask me further but highlight reel how much of the story is abt their parent child dynamics, the fact that he was.. in love w her father and helped raise her a bit with him even when he was still alive, just about every other thing abt their relationship and also his relationship with his grandson, etc... and also the fact that lying and shaping narratives of a life is um . a major element of the story and for someone to kind of pathetically attempt to do that after kikuhiko's death is definitely intentional
4) LASTLY it is tempting to think the story is in 2 parts bc s1 feels like such an isolated story u would think part 2 is maybe only partially related but i promise it isnt and changes the meaning of season 1 fairly significantly so if this seems like it is something u are up for i would definitely recommend watching them both season 2 really is very good otherwise and also wanna stress this is not like. the Ending of sgrs this is an individual scene in the last episode that is upsetting enough to overshadow everything else if ur unprepared but in the grand scheme of things far from the most important plot thing going on
AND THE THING I PROMISED UP TOP: if u actually do watch, there is a scene that starts w konatsu and higuchi sitting down having a conversation, nothing super important happens u can either skip the conversation altogether or specifically once they are alone bc the kids are there for a bit, and thats it :)
THANK U FOR READING... HAVE FUN STAY SAFE

why ben solo deserved better
youtube
comments on youtube:
You may think Ben Solo did not deserve mercy, but let's all remember this is a FICTIONAL universe and fictional characters. It's ok to indulge in wishful thinking, even if Ben would not be received with welcome arms on Earth even after his redemption. Dealing with a complicated character like that and trying to find a way to give him a future in the story is hard, I will admit. It's hard to know where someone's role in society is after they've betrayed and murdered since our answer usually ends in their execution or incarceration. But imagine an ending where Ben Solo is willing to answer for his crimes, Rey contends for him, and the future of the galaxy has hope. What we were given was NOT hope. Ben Solo simply deserved a better ending than he was given. He wasn't a soulless monster like Palpatine. He had remorse. He hesitated. His anger was fueled by his mistreatment and feelings of abandonment from his family. Comment below and tell me why/why not Ben Solo deserved a better ending. Even if you don't agree, do you think his abrupt death was satisfying?
I agree with a lot of your points. He 100% should have survived and it doesn't make any sense to me that they killed him off. Ben should have been given a chance to live and atone, he could've spent the rest of his life being a better man, despite other people scorning him at first. Ben and Rey are so powerful - they are stronger together and could've helped so many people in the galaxy. Surely there would still be pockets of the First Order out there - or whole planets of innocent people still enslaved that need their help. ( I have to point out that it was never clarified how many people knew kylo ren was ben solo and its quite likely that  only a small group knew ben was kylo ren so you wouldnt even need to consider the galaxy at wholes reaction for they could just claim kylo ren was dead while ben solo was still alive  (people didnt know anakin was vader for years )   and poe in resistance reborn talked about ex imperials atoning for their actions so  poe and the people who knew ben was kylo ren would be willing to accept ben   coming back and atoning for his  actions  . no prison  or exile  he would ahve a happy ending  with rey on naboo the place where anakin and padme would have raised luke and leia anidala being torn apart was the original sin  ) ( I am sick and tired of redemption equals death it sends the message that if you mess  up and go down the wrong path the only out is death that the most you can expect is finding a cause to die for its bs the notion that he had to die is bs
“the redemption = death bs doesnt give hope to anyone its like if you mess up you cant just make up for it
ben deserved better because in the 30 years he lived he wanst truly happy and calm until his last 20 seconds of his life”
Western story writers and directors are too set on the idea of redemption of villains through death, it's an unhealthy all too common message I don't agree with, Vader's sacrifice meant something because he saved his son, but what about Leia? What does her sacrifice mean? Why is the final shot just a lone Rey in the desert with a robot? I'll never understand these decisions, it just doesn't work.
The whole Rey replaces Ben in the Skywalker line is just disgusting. Ben was "bad" so he didn't deserve the name but Rey is perfectly "good" so she does? Kids, if you ever do anything bad watch out because your family will find a good kid, replace you, and act like you never existed. Love Disney for that message.
. There’s a clear reverse Anakin/Padme thing going on for me as is. I just think they could have gone for that full reversal, where Ben lives instead of dies like Anakin essentially did when he became Vader. And then I’m always reminded of how little Ani wanted to “free the slaves” ... and while he didn’t have to take that literal route, atonement, or working to break broken systems, would have been a wonderful close to that part of the story as well. I thought it would be nice to tie his and Finn’s stories together a little in that regard.
I don't think they ever understood what they had story wise or character wise.  I don't think they ever knew what message these movies were supposed to have. TROS kept making strange story decisions without thinking through their implications.  With regard to Ben Solo, they give us two fake deaths after multiple characters sacrificed themselves for him, then kill him off for real.  That's the kind nonsense you find in the D-grade movies mocked on MST3K, not a Star Wars film.  Worse yet, they offer the audience no catharsis for Ben's death.  It happens suddenly; Rey had already given her "life force" to both the giant snake and Kylo/Ben and she's fine.  So the audience doesn't expect Ben to die when he gives his "life force" to her.  Then after his sudden death, he's not mourned.  Rey barely reacts.  He's not mentioned and his sacrifice is never discussed.  Then we don't even see his Force ghost.  The air got sucked out of the movie and it just ends with a thud.  It's like if Titanic had ended with Rose saying, "Oh well, I guess I'll just marry Cal" and it's "The End."
Ben Solo definitely deserved better & I truly thought we would get a happily ever after, a reversal of Anakin & Padme’s fate. I also thought the stormtroopers would side with the Resistance & that the reason Leia’s allies didn’t respond at the end of TLJ was because most were disguised as stormtroopers & mingled among the First Order. 🤡  I think the Skywalker saga has ended but the Solo saga will continue. 🤞🏻 The majority of fans LOVE Kylo/Ben and that’s a fact. The general audience loved & rooted for him without ever knowing his heartbreaking backstory & that he had been targeted by Palpatine from conception. Let’s hope Disney/Lf has an ace up their sleeve.
I actually thought Ben was going to live because JJ kept marketing the film as being happy, uplifting, hopeful, and Ben's arc being "fun." In 2015 he called Star Wars a "fairytale."  I had been waiting for Ben to reunite with his mother since 2015 & since 2017 to end up with Rey. Neither really happens because Ben dies, thus turning Star Wars into a tragedy that pretends it's not. We didn't even get a mother/som forceghost visual reunion as a "consolation prize". I was so sure we'd get an actual living redemption arc because I thought forgiveness and the healing of the family was their intention , but nope, just a complete annihilation of the Skywalker family. I left IX feeling depressed for all of Christmas break. ...And don't even get me started on the retcon of TLJ's Rey Nobody background setup and theme.Show less
You have to ask yourself this when thinking of Ben and Anakin. If Anakin fell to the dark side because he had an unhealthy selfish love for Padme but Ben rose from the dark side because he had a healthy selfless love for Rey. What message does it send to have both characters have the same fate when it comes to being with the women they love? (Split apart) What's the point of the saga if nothing anyone does means anything? JJ and Chris failed to ask themselves these important questions.
the theme of the original trilogy was love, hope, family, forgiveness, redemption
lucas described the star wars as a space fairy tale soap opera    about love, family , hope forgiveness, redemption  the skywalker saga is a family saga about the skywalker family killing off ben breaks that for it ends the saga in tragedy where every last skywalker has died   the line has ended palpatine won bens abusers won
george lucas quote about story being a family-oriented fairytale of hope, love and redemption (not to mention he hates killing anyone unnecessarily bens death wasnt necessary and goes against star wars themes
George Lucas: *talks for forty years about fairy tales and HEAs and not wanting to kill characters
( this is why lucas didnt kill any of the main cast be they the trio or otherwise and chewbacc killing off ( killing off ben goes against that ( ben was a mc he was part of the narrative trio ( no matter how many antis try to claim otherwise and claim it was rey finn and poe when no ) or act like bendemption wasnt set up from day one.  ( ben, rey, and finn were all main characters
Tumblr media Tumblr media
on the comparison  between benVader died as a middle-aged man in ill health with two living children who would carry on in the light after a golden period in his life where he was a prosperous jedi knight, Ben died a healthy 30-year-old with no family or good phase in his life, plus Vader's sacrifice was instrumental in his redemption while Ben's sacrifice happened after redemption out of narrative contrivance, they are not the same

Bittersweet Reunion - Watch Dogs: Legion [WIP]
(can you tell i had no clue what to name this)
so i wrote this after i played wdl and finished the finding bagley mission bc i loved that there was a canon mlm pairing and i thought the whole meeting bradley thing was Incredibly unsatisfying so i did this and originally i was gonna have bagley and arthur get back together but then it started writing itself and bagley wouldnt date arthur bc that’d go against his morals and i was like shit thats not what i planned but also i realized it was in character so this is that disaster lmao
Tumblr media
“I’m ready for the rest of my life, Arthur. And I want you to be a part of it.”
The sixth audio file ended with what sounded like a kiss, and Lindsey had to pause to take it in. Bagley had really had a life— a lover. A lover he had to leave behind.
“Arthur… I should remember more about him. But I don’t.”
It sounded so rushed, so nonchalant, that Lindsey knew better than to believe his tone and even Bagley himself knew it. Because, truth was, he was processing the same things Lindsey was and more. He really was damned to eternity, being a human turned AI and all, because now he was experiencing quite a lot of thoughts and certainly not enjoying it. Where was Arthur now? Did he still remember him? Did he miss him? Why was Bagley even wondering if his not-boyfriend still missed him?
Some part of his human half wondered if it’s possible to find Arthur again, meet the person his past self was so deeply in love with that now he found himself longing for him too.
“Sir—”
“Don’t touch me!”
Bagley was pulled out of the thoughts growing less and less artificial by the second as the next audio file began, already far more emotionally charged than the ones prior.
“These people are here to help you, Bags—”
“Don’t call me that!”
He’s snappish and frustrated and angry and current Bagley could almost feel it too. There’s more struggling as Bagley— past Bagley— seemed to be fighting someone off.
“She did this! Someone stop her!”
‘She’ must’ve been Skye Larsen, who else could it have been? He wanted to hope Natalie would listen— just listen, goddammit, this was all Skye’s fault, don’t you know what she’s done?— but he knew it was no use. They didn’t know. Natalie didn’t know. Not a fucking soul knew what she did to him.
“Don’t hurt him! He’s not usually like this!”
“Get out of my head! Get o—”
His voice died out as more noise played, then an unfamiliar voice called for an ambulance.
“Bags. Bagley. Bra—”
And it ended there.
“I’m assuming that ‘she’ was Skye Larsen,” he said to Lindsey. “Seems like the usual suspect where brain fuckery is concerned.” As controlled as he usually was, not even he could keep the slightest bit of anger out of his voice by the end of his sentence.
The next audio file began with a man explaining that Bagley had early on-set dementia, which intrigued him because it didn’t explain when exactly Skye got her hands on him. Then the sister from prior audio files spoke with that same strangely familiar voice, just as demanding as before. “You listen to me. I don’t care what it takes. No brother of mine is going to waste away in some hospital.”
Something was wrong. There was a piece missing somewhere between those memories and he had an idea of where it could be found.
Skygarden.
“Why do I have a feeling we’re not up here to reminisce?” The audio began as Lindsey snapped the last photo.
“Right. I’ve been thinking a lot about your epilepsy.” The sister. Of course. He still couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but she sounded awfully familiar, but not in a good way. In a this-person-has-the-same-name-as-my-primary-school-bully way.
“That’s nice. My doctors stopped thinking about it years ago. I had to give up so much because of it. Rowing, my mates, my…” A sigh followed after he trailed off and he had a feeling that that sigh replaced the word ‘boyfriend.’
“I’m sorry, Bradley.” Bradley. That name sounded familiar. Come to think of it, that must’ve been what Natalie called him in the seventh audio file just before it cut off. He supposed it sounded familiar because, well, it is— was— his name, but there was something more to it. He just couldn’t figure out what. He ran a quick search for Bradleys in London, but of course that left him with thousands of Bradleys and not a single clue as to how to filter out the useless ones.
“Wow. Look at you using my real name for once. I must be truly fucked.” Fucked was an understatement. How did he go from a human to nothing more than an AI? It wasn’t that he was unhappy as an AI, especially considering he worked for DedSec and they were wonderful, they really were, but to think he was once human…
“What if I told you I had something that could work?”
Something deep inside of him that vaguely resembled a computerized heart dropped at those words. He had a bad, bad feeling about this.
“Ha. Never knew you were funny.”
But Skye Larsen created him, didn’t she?
“I’m not. It’s a tech we’re developing. It’s early stages, but… have you ever heard of neural mapping?”
“No.” No, it couldn’t be.
“Here. Let’s go to my lab. I’ll show you.”
Who was this sister?
“Lead the way, Skye.”
And the audio ended.
“I was Skye Larsen’s brother.” It was strange to say out loud. “I’m Bradley. Bradley Larsen.” That was why she sounded so familiar. That was why Skye Larsen was his creator. Fuck. “Bradley Larsen…” He returned to his search for Bradleys and narrowed it down to one Bradley Larsen, brother of Skye Larsen, son of Sinead and Kevin Larsen. “I’ve found a room pre-paid through to April 4, 2040 under the name of Bradley Larsen— paid for by S. Larsen.” Skye.
“So you might still be alive,” Lindsey said. “Where’s the room?”
He checked his databases. “St. Pancras Hotel.”
And when she arrived, it was no less than what he expected, if less than what he wanted.
He left not quite satisfied.
But what else could he do? His father was gone and his mother and sister were dead. He checked his deep profiler and found Natalie through Bradley, but it seemed she was dead as well. And then— Arthur Jenkins, former spouse.
“I think I’ve found Arthur from the sixth audio file,” he said. “Mind getting him for me?”
“Say the word, Bags,” Lindsey said.
He found his schedule and looked for his soonest outing. “He’ll be at Crosier & Cherry Tree at 8 PM.” There was a tinge of sadness in his voice at the location that they both decided to ignore.
He checked the rest of Arthur’s profile, too curious to resist. His photo was attached. To his surprise, Arthur was a curly-haired ginger. Apparently Bradley had known more people with no souls than just Skye Larsen. Age 29, worked as a bartender at Crosier & Cherry— that was why he’d be there. Associated with Melissa Phillips, friend; Natalie Walker, deceased friend; and Bradley Larsen, former spouse. Metadata… looking through it could’ve broken his heart if he had one.
He had countless searches involving dementia up until he was 28 and had hundreds of recorded visits to St. Pancras Hotel, Bradley’s room. Hundreds of visits that, when he accessed the records, seemed to just… stop. Daily-to-weekly visits simply vanished into none. Numerous phone calls to Skye Larsen that Bagley could only assume were angry and accusational because he was charged for harassment due to a complaint from Skye on the same day he stopped visiting.
He tried. He really tried, and then Skye fucked it all up like she always does.
“Bagley, I’ve found him.” He turned his attention to Lindsey’s Optik and, sure enough, he could see the ginger in the photo through the glass window. “Want me to bring him back to the Hackerspace?”
He considered it, but bringing him back would’ve meant involving the others. This was just a one-time thing. “No, just— could you get him somewhere I could talk privately with him?”
“Sure thing.” He watched as she entered the pub and approached Arthur at the counter.
“‘Ello, mate, what can I get for you?” he asked, uncannily cheery with a smile on his face. Something told Bagley this should’ve made him feel… something, but he felt not even a twinge of recognition from anywhere other than the photo on his digital profile.
“I’m here to talk to you, actually,” Lindsey said.
“Oh?” He raised an eyebrow and took a second to look her over a second time, his customer service smile fading into skepticism. “Do I know you?”
“No, but I know someone you do. Mind if we talk somewhere else?”
He shrugged. “S’pose not. Better get it on with, then, I’ve got to get back to work.”
Shit. Time was running out and they were already heading to a back room and Bagley hadn’t a fucking clue what to say so when he was cast onto the nearest unwatched telly before Lindsey left, all he could think to say was “Hello, Arthur.”
And then there was a silence where Bagley was internally cursing himself for being such a bloody idiot and Arthur looked like either he was about to drop to his knees in awe or he had shit himself. And then he broke the silence.
“Bradley?” His eyes were lit up with hope, hope Bagley knew he’d have to destroy because he wasn’t Bradley, not really. But he’d worry about that later.
“Oh, Gods, that’s going to be my version of Bradley’s stupid nickname, isn’t it? Though, if you ask me, Bagley is a perfectly good name,” he remarked. He had no idea how to properly handle a situation in which he was meeting the lover he had in a past life, so, naturally, he reverted to his usual self. Arthur was in love with him before, he can put up with him again.
Arthur chuckled, cracking a smile. “Now I know you aren’t Bradley. He hated that nickname.” He took another moment to comprehend what just happened. “But, really, how? How are you— what are you? What is” —he gestured vaguely at the TV screen— “this?”
“That’s a funny story, actually, see—”
“Bradley,” Arthur interrupted him, his smile turning solemn. “I’m serious. Last time I saw you, you were in a bloody wheelchair! What happened to you?”
There was another silence where Bagley tried to think of something ‘serious’ to say, but his actual response felt much more natural to him.
“Don’t call me that,” he said, a feigned grumble but unseen smile in his voice, “that’s not my name.”
And at that, not even Arthur could keep a straight face, but his smile didn’t last long. “Bags. Please. I need answers. I was so sure it was that bitch Skye— sorry, I know she’s your sister and all, but— I spent so long searching for ways to help you and trying to get her to fucking stop— you only ended up in the bloody hospital after she got involved and then she wouldn’t let me keep seeing you and I couldn’t—” His voice broke then and he had to pause, clear his throat and collect himself. “I’m sorry, I tried, I didn’t want to stop visiting. I really didn’t. I’m sorry.”
Bagley didn’t know how to tell him it was all in vain; Skye won in the end, she always did, and he didn’t even remember being Bradley or knowing Arthur at all. As far as he remembered, he’d only known Arthur for five minutes.
“Bagley?”
“It doesn’t matter.” There was no use in prolonging it.
“...What?”
“It doesn’t matter,” he repeated. “I’m not Bradley.”
“Are you mad? Of course you’re Bradley.’
“No, I’m not. Bradley is still in St. Pancras. I’m Bagley.”
Arthur gave a confused chuckle and crossed his arms. “What are you talking about?”
“It was Skye,” he finally said. “It’s a long story, really, but in simpler terms, she tried to fix Bradley’s epilepsy through a process called neural mapping. It essentially separated his consciousness from his body, which gave him dementia and took my human body. I’m his consciousness, but I’m not him.”
Arthur didn’t respond. He seemed to still be processing what he’d just heard.
“And I’m sorry to say, but my memory was wiped not long after my creation. I don’t… remember anything about being Bradley.” He paused. Arthur knew what that meant, and he knew that his next sentence was going to confirm it. “I don’t remember anything about you.”
Arthur took far longer to respond than Bagley would’ve liked. “So you’re—” He stopped. “So Bradley’s really gone.”
“Unfortunately so.”
More silence. “Then why are you here?”
That was a good question, actually. Why was he here?
“I suppose I came to say goodbye,” Bagley said. “Give you some closure on Bradley, so you know what happened. I know you two were quite close.”
He scoffed. “Close is an understatement.” His voice softened. “We were going to get married,” he said. “At least, I think we were. If Skye hadn’t gotten involved— if I’d only had the time— I was going to propose. Had a ring in mind and everything. I’m fairly sure Bradley knew, too. I just wanted us to have that one thing before… before it was too late.”
Bagley had to take a second to let it sink in. In a past life, he’d almost gotten married. How much had he missed out on as a human because of Skye? His voice was solemn as he spoke, a first for him. “I’m sorry.”
“No, don’t be.” Arthur offered no elaboration before something else seemed to cloud his mind. Silence seemed to be something both of them were good at. Bagley considered directly asking what was on his mind, but Arthur spoke before he could decide. “Can I ask something of you?”
“Ask away. I’ve only got the rest of my non-life.”
“...Could we try it again?” he asked, hesitation in his words. At Bagley’s confused silence, he uncrossed his arms, a willing show of vulnerability. “I mean, could we try… us, again? I know you don’t remember anything about me or Bradley and you’re not Bradley, I know that, but— maybe something good could come out of it. Maybe— maybe we could still have something.”
“You want us to…” He trailed off, thinking it over. By ‘something,’ he meant a relationship, but— could he be in a relationship? He was still an AI. He wasn’t Bradley. He wasn’t even attracted to Arthur. Hell, he wasn’t even sure he could feel attraction, if that was built into his operating system. Everything in him wanted to say no, it would never work out. An AI taking part in human affairs was a recipe for disaster.
“We could start from the beginning,” Arthur added, as if he knew what Bagley was thinking before he even said it. “I know you don’t really know me so we can start out just friends, nothing more. We can take it as slow as you want and if you decide there’ll never be anything more, we can just stay as friends if that’s what you’re comfortable with. But if you think there can be more, we can try that.”
It was tempting, but… Arthur was still human. And Bagley was not. “Arthur, I’m not sure I was made for this.”
“Then let’s find out,” he said. “I’m okay with anything you are.”
“No, I mean I’m not sure I was made to feel attraction. I believe that’s a fairly important part of relationships,” Bagley said with a hint of humor in the last sentence, though it disappeared by the next. “I’ve never felt that way toward anyone and I’m not sure you’ll be an exception.”
He sighed. “Bags. It doesn’t matter to me whether you like me as a friend or as a boyfriend. What matters is whether or not you’re comfortable with me. I didn’t fall in love with your attraction. I fell in love with you.”
“You fell in love with Bradley,” he corrected. “Not me.”
Regardless of how tempting the offer was and how curious he was to see the extent of his human capabilities, it’d only be an experiment. A trial run of a relationship with someone who was only willing because he was still attached to the person Bagley no longer was. It would be cruel to take advantage of Arthur’s hope for his own curiosity— no different from what Skye did to Bradley. He might’ve had his human body stripped from him, but he still had his humanity.
“Arthur, I’m not Bradley,” he said. “And I know it’s hard to accept, but I can’t be the person you want me to be.”

LOTR Post-apocalyptic one shot
When Middle Earth gets to like- the idk, sixth or seventh age? would it be more of a futuristic setting but like with hobbits in space suits and dwarfs crafting radioactive machines and stuff.
(Shhhhh.... i know that like the elves disappear and man becomes really the only one that stays after awhile but I WANT A FANTASY FALLOUT SETTING!
From @pippinstook
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
The Endless Winter was the Elves' fault.
Like all the Great Calamities of Middle-Earth, the best and worst times were ushered in by Elves.
And they wonder why we hate them.
We Dwarves remember the Silmarils War. We stayed out of the War of Sauron's Return because the Elves created that mess to begin with, and it was theirs to clean up. We saw the Halflings get roped into it, and there were some who argued we should go to their aid, remembrance of a debt owed by our people to them. But there were only 4 of them, so we remained apart.
And so, when the Burning Wind, a storm of flame like a hundred score dragons scorching the land and sky came, we stayed underground. We saw it sweep in from the East, and we knew that once again, the Elves had doomed us all.
We stayed underground, our trading partners gone, our surface holdings buried under a white ash that burned and blinded as it rained from the sky. We delved deeper, broader, sealed all but a few entrances to the surface behind gold and lead. Entire boulevards bricked up in stacks of now useless gold.
They thought we were ostentatious with our wealth before. If they could only see us now. Admittedly, we flaunted our wealth in the 4th Age- and why wouldnt we? We worked and slaved and toiled for generations of men to build it. Of course we were going to enjoy the fruits of our labors.
Our grandfathers survived once the King discovered that only he, in his gold-covered armors, remained sunburnt by the Elven Ash. The King ordered the gates sealed, the treasury turned over to the armored and craftsmen as gold suddenly became not a luxury, but something necessary to protect our people from the folly of the Elves.
Our people still got ill, still died long before their time. Some had strange growths, babies were born with extra limbs, or none at all. Mothers wept at not being able to feed their newborns, and fathers felt tears dampen their beards as they carved tomb after tomb for children that should have been the ones to carve theirs instead.
But we survived.
We learned to cover every bit of clothing, every scrap of leather and cloth in gold. Every chamber, every street, every cavern lined in it. No longer was lead cast aside as nothing more than a tinker's tool. Now every drop of it was precious, beaten flat and covered in gold, used to line the halls of our kingdoms.
So my great-grandfather told my father, as he told me. As I will tell my sons and daughters, so they never forget.
It's truly amazing what we Dwarves will create when left to our own devices. Every hundred years or so, the King will send a group of volunteers to the surface, to see if the Endless Winter showed any signs of abating, if the burning ash burns less.
As the centuries passed, little changed on the surface. But there were many who grew tired of our isolation, and longed for the fresh wind and the companionship of our brothers in other kingdoms.
Rather than repress them, our king, in his wisdom, appointed those who still longed for the outside world to create ways to survive in the hellish land the Elves had rained down upon us.
And so our skills increased, our machines becoming ever more complex as our Creatives strive to find ways to lessen the impact of the Winter, and make our lives more comfortable and productive.
We discovered the expansive properties of steam, we harnessed the fires of the earth itself to warm our homes, and light our streets. We created artificial sun and starlight, not with the magic of the Elves, or the primitive tallow fires of men, but with ingenuity and clever machines. Balls of glass that glowed like the sun, and drops of sapphire that shone like stars.
We created lightning, and stored it in jars. We built the power of the ancient gods ourselves. Columns that shone bright to light the day, and tiny blue stars of light in the carven ceilings to make the night less black. We took those jars, and fashioned gears and wheels and wire to drive our mining carts and lifts. We created hammers driven by the heat of the earth and the explosive power of water. We made glass, coated in gold so fine you could see through it, and for the first time in a generation, had windows to bring sun and moonlight down to the kingdom. What little there was.
We made great mirrors, and reflected that light to our farms, and homes. The Creatives made giant mirrors and lenses, and used them to see great distances from the Sightglass they built on the top of our mountain. The first time they were able to look through it, and see for hundreds of leagues was looked forward too with such anticipation! And met with such bitter disappointment. For as far as the eye could see, even with the Sightglass, there was nothing but more of the burning ash blanketing the world.
So we stayed below, as we have always done. And another generation passed.
And the Creatives made another leap forward. They created glass that could be layered with transparent gold, and made helmets and armor and boots and gloves that were finally able to withstand the burning of the Winter on the surface. They created carts, driven by the heat of rocks they found on the surface, that when enclosed properly, and cooled with water, powered those carts, and enabled us to finally start exploring the surface again.
And so we finally emerged after all this time. Dwarves, covered in gold, driving carts that glowed and shone like the sun that could no longer be seen. Dwarves, with golden gears clicking about them, steam rising from their shoulders as the armor made by the Creatives did it's work of making the air breathable, and keeping out the ash and dust. Dwarves with golden-hued glass helms, leaving virgin footprints in the ashen plains around the mountain.
Dwarves, had finally managed to reclaim the earth.
And we explored. We searched for any sign that other life had returned to the surface. We traveled long and far, always finding nothing more than half-buried ruins of ancient civilizations; giant statues and crumbling walls, trees turned to stone, rivers nothing more than vast trenches filled with powdery ash that we sank in as if it was actually water, long petrified bones serving as the only memorial to those who once filled the cities of men.
More and more of us migrated to the surface, our new Technics affording us the same protections of our ancient caverns. We started to realize as a people that our love of caves stemmed primarily from a desire to be left alone as a people, a way to avoid being interfered with. And now that the surface was empty, there was nothing dissuading us from enjoying it.
And then the world as we had come to know it changed.
Reports from the Foragers came back that they had found a place untouched by the Endless Winter. A place where green still existed.
No one believed them at first, but then the silverplate images started coming back. Plates that showed trees. Rivers that held water. A deer. Things no one alive had ever seen with their own eyes. And most still didn't believe.
Until one day, the Foragers brought back an oak tree. A sapling, green and lithe, rooted in black earth, set in a pit of solid gold, a dome of golden glass shielding it from the ash.
Not long after that monumental revelation, our entire town mobilized. Great carts with wheels of chain to move entire houses were built. Flexible bridges covered in golden glass wove between them, domes of gold creating a sea of glittering bubbles that floated across the plains as an entire Dwarven city slowly crept across the fields and hills of ash.
Ten years it took for our city to make it to the eastern mountains. Ten years of waiting impatiently to see what the Foragers had been promising us.
And then we finally saw it with our own eyes. We saw the ash fade into brown grass and weeds, and those give way gradually to actual grasses, and bushes, and finally, a single tree at the top of the ridge.
But what we saw from that ridge left even our most effusive poets speechless.
Green. Nothing but green as far as we could see. An emerald jewel of a vale set apart from the ashen wasteland behind us. And birds. A young one claimed they spotted a deer. The sound of a small stream twinkled through the air like a long forgotten melody of hope. A single, thin spire hung in the air, and only the Eldest was able to remember what it was called or what it meant.
Smoke! Specifically, chimney smoke. It rose from the forest like a beacon, a sign that we may not be the only ones to have survived.
As we were debating the best way to approach whomever may be there, we were all shocked to the bone to hear a small voice right behind our Elder.
"'Ere! Wotcha 'bout then? Not from 'round 'here, are yous?"
Of all those who could have survived, of course it had to be the Hobbits.

Nightmares [loki oneshot]
Pairing: Loki x Reader; Loki x family (angst)
Genre: MAJOR FLUFF AND ANGST
Word Count: Around 2,000 words?
Warning: Starts off with some major angst stuff... I warned you
A/N: I’m off hiatus for a bit, and decided that I would be attempting to continue series and finish up/publish the requests that I got from a lot of people. I apologize for being on hiatus for so long, honestly I wasn’t expecting to be out this long. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the requested oneshot!
Summary: Loki has a nightmare, and goes to the reader to comfort him.
Tumblr media
Loki’s gaze wandered to the fields of flowers, staring at the weeping willow by the small shimmering lake. Seeing the small figures playing around, his eyes glimmered. Running through the grassy fields, his arms extended forward.
“Mom! Thor! Odin!” Loki yelled, his pace began to quicken as they turned their heads. A sudden rumbling made Loki’s eyes widen, he gazed at his family.
“Run! Go!” Loki screamed, his family only smiled and turned, unaware of what was going on around them. The ground shook again, knocking Loki off of his feet. He attempted to stand again, but the quaking of the ground underneath him was too strong. Tears pricked Loki’s eyes as he crawled, his family only a few yards from him.
The world split into two. The giant hole was right behind his family, their panicked expressions made Loki’s stomach turn.
His father was the first to fall. Loki clenched his jaw tightly, slowly attempting to stand up. He didn’t know why there was a small feeling of regret when his father fell, but he wasn’t as important to him as the two others-- who seemed too horrified to move. His knees were buckling beneath him--but he ignored his aching body.
His brother and mother began to lose their balance. Loki’s vision was soon clouded, as his breaths began to come uneasy. Leaping outward, he grabbed his mother’s and brother’s hand as they began to fall, holding them as his life depended on it. The veins in his arms popped instantly, a rush of adrenaline coursing through his body as he stared at them.
“I can’t go…” his brother muttered,“... not like this.” Loki’s arms were trembling, his body slowly starting to slip into the hole. Loki’s mother, Frigga, gazed at him, tears forming in her eyes.
“Honey. Let us go.” Loki shook his head furiously, biting his lower lip. He soon tasted a metallic fluid but refused to think about anything else.
“I-I c-can’t,” Loki croaked out. “I’ll lose you. I’ll save you. I can do it.” Loki’s arms burned; his whole body began to feel like it was set ablaze. He couldn’t lose them. They were all he had left in this cruel world-- as much as he refused to believe it, pushing them away every chance he got. The truth was now revealed in the worst case scenario. He closed his eyes, squeezing them shut.
“Look at me, brother.” His brother rasped, Loki complied. The first thing he saw was his brother’s icy blue eyes, and how they were filled with sorrow. Loki’s never saw that look on his brother’s face.
They were always filled with hope.
     Joy...
     Happiness...
     Faith...
“Loki…” his brother trailed on. “I want you to know… that I love you. I really do. I want you to know that--no matter what, I’ll still keep my promise to you. I’ll watch over you, I’ll protect you. But I need you to be strong.” Loki began to wail, he didn’t want to hear the ending, he shook his head frantically.
“No. Don’t finish it. I don’t want to hear-”
“Loki. I want you, to let us go. Live your life that you dreamed of Loki, you think I didn’t see the journals you secretly kept in your chambers?
“Do what you want Loki. Mother, father, and I--we’ll watch over you from above. And when the time is right--we’ll become a family again. But that won’t happen for a very long time.” Loki stared at his brother’s eyes, seeing the small tears drip down.
His brother didn’t cry. Because he was strong… so the fact that he was now…
“Loki, sweetie.” His mother interjected, she brought her other hand up to touch his cheek, Loki tilted his head to her hand, feeling the warmth emitting from it. Tears brimmed from the corners of his eyes.
“You’ll do great things, never forget that. No matter what anyone says, what anyone might do--you trust your own instincts. We’ll be beside you through your journey, and we’ll help you guide you to your happy ending.
“I love you, my son. But it’s time for your family to go.” Her grip on his hand began to loosen, Loki panicked.
“NO! You can’t do this to me! I don’t want you to leave! Don’t leave me! I’ll be able to help! We’ll all be safe-”
“Loki. Ever since you were little, you despised the word ‘goodbye’, so let’s just say we’ll see you later. Far from now. But we’ll see you eventually. Remember that.” His brother said, loosening his grip as well. Loki’s eyes flooded with tears, tightening his grip on their wrists.
“You’re not leaving me alone! I can’t be alone! I-I-I won’t be able to h-handle it. Who’s going to teach me to do things? Tell me to take risks? Who am I supposed to look to when I-I’m vulnerable. I-I can’t do this. I want to come with you.” Loki blurted.
“You’ll do remarkable things without us. Good people who care for you will guide you--and you’ll have great allies along the way. Trust me, Loki.” His mother said reassuringly. Her grip loosened more. “I love you.” His brother’s grip loosened as well.
“Do well, little brother. Remember--there’s nothing you can’t accomplish.”
Loki’s mind went blank. The ringing in his ears multiplied, uncontrollably shaking.
     They were gone.
Loki gasped, jolting from his position in the bed. He grabbed an old mirror; his tear-stained face was disgusting. He looked at the mirror again, seeing the little boy with onyx bangs covering his eyes, his smile brighter than the sun itself. And beside him, were his two parents and elder brother, holding hands with one another. He threw the mirror across the room, hearing it shatter against the wall. He grabbed his tunic, squeezing it tightly.
     He couldn’t breathe.
His hair stuck to his forehead, he scoffed. He hated his onyx hair. It reminded him too much of them. He checked the time, realizing that he wouldn’t be able to get any shut-eye before his day began.
His feet moved on their own. Making their way off into the bathroom sink, he twisted the handle, watching the water pour into the drain. He cupped his hands, letting the water fill them--the cold temperature making him feel more empty. He brought the water to his face, letting the cold feeling spread. He turned off the sink and ruffled his hair. He looked up, staring at his reflection.
     “Remember--there’s nothing you can’t accomplish.”
“But I couldn’t save you.” Loki breathed out. “If I was able to accomplish anything, I wouldn’t feel so broken inside. I would’ve been able to save you, to hold you all.” He stared at his reflection, his bottom lip trembling. “I would’ve been able, to tell you all how much I appreciated you. But I was too selfish to admit that I did.”
“If I could accomplish anything--I should’ve told you all I loved you. Even when I knew I wasn’t going to be able to see you all for a long time. I could’ve even tell them ‘I love you’ back.”
Staring at the picture frame, he frowned at the old memory.
“I’ll see you later, mother.” He muttered, leaving his chambers… “because you never liked goodbyes.”
He blamed himself for his mother’s death, although he hated to admit it. If he wasn’t corrupted in such ways and shown the bloody monster to the staircase-- she would still be alive-- supporting her idiotic son. His mother was someone truly there for him, and someone that would stick along with him while his father would rant about Thor’s excellence.
He made his way out of his room, his feet moving on their own. He moved through the empty streets of New York, the flashing lights reminding him of his nightmare.
Slowly trudging up the driveway, he noticed it began to drizzle slightly. Hearing the rain, he smiled and looked up to the sky.
He paused his movements, letting the rain fall onto his body.
“Loki! What are you doing?” A voice interrupted his thoughts, one that seemed extremely worried. Loki opened his eyes, face-to-face with a cross figure.
“What did I tell you about standing in the rain? Get inside for crying out loud!” The figure bickered, pushing Loki into their house. Slamming the door shut, the figure sighed.
“I have a change of clothes for you, from the last time you were here.” Loki nodded his head, silent. The figure immediately picked this up but decided not to ask right away.
“I’ll make us a cup of tea while you change-- after, we can talk about it. Is that all right?” The figure asked, cupping Loki’s cheek. Ice cold.
Loki nodded, grabbing the change of clothes and made his way to the bathroom.
“Thank you, (Y/N),” Loki whispered, kissing the top of (Y/N)’s forehead. (Y/N) hummed in response, making their way to the kitchen.
When Loki arrived in the kitchen, (Y/N) had set the kettle down on their dining table, pouring the hot liquid into two teacups. Turning their attention to Loki, they grinned sadly.
“Have a seat, Loki. I have all night.” Loki nodded and sat in his chair, grasping the teacup gently. Taking a sip of the sweet substance, he stared at (Y/N).
“I presume you’re here because the incident occurred again?” Loki nodded slowly in response; (Y/N)’s eyes widened, setting his/her cup down on the saucer. Loki stared at the ground, hearing a chair scrape against the floor. Two hands grasped his, making Loki stare at the figure.
(Y/N) smiled softly, sitting on Loki’s lap. Wrapping his/her arms around Loki’s torso, [s]he buried his/her face in Loki’s neck, inhaling his scent softly. Rubbing his lower back in small, calming circles, they began to hum softly.
Loki wrapped his arms around her/him as well, listening to their voice. The silence of the atmosphere soothed him, his breathing beginning to get closer.
(Y/N) removed themselves from Loki minutes later, leading him to their bed.
Making their way out of the room, Loki grasped his/her hand tightly.
“Don’t leave me too,” he pleadingly spoke out. (Y/N) inhaled deeply, tucking herself/himself into bed beside Loki.
“I won’t Loki, you know I won’t.” Loki frowned at (Y/N)’s statement; would she be around him… and for how long?
Loki wrapped his arms around (Y/N) tightly, his demeanor changed completely when he was down and depressed.
In the morning, he knew that he would be back to being a sarcastic know-it-all, teasing his lover to the brink of exhaustion; but in moments like this, he knew he could depend on (Y/N).
(Y/N) knew that Loki was someone who needed a lot of comforts, he had experienced so much as a child, and not to mention his life overall. And (Y/N) wanted to there for him, not out of pity, but as a sign of commitment; that he/she cared for Loki so dearly, that they were willing to embrace Loki’s differences, and help him overcome his demons he had troubles dealing with.
It wasn’t hard either. Loki didn’t like to converse about it-- unless he was completely distraught, the sheer touch of someone he cared for around him, was enough to comfort him in the toughest times he faced nowadays.
You stared at Loki’s sleeping figure, sighing to yourself. No matter how much he did, or what he did, you still loved him; even after all the damn things, he put you through.
Grabbing your phone, you quickly messaged Tony.
[13:02] FYI, I’m going to be with Loki for a while, so don’t send the damn Avengers like you did last time.
[13:10] All right, thanks (Y/N).
Shutting off your phone, you smiled and cuddled closer next to Loki. You loved him, everything about him made you feel like you were soaring. And you would do anything to make him feel happy and know that he had a place in the world.
Your eyelids began to drop slowly, losing consciousness.
...
What you didn’t know-- was that something bigger was about to emerge from the unknown, and test your limits…
thank you, next request should be up soon!

Miss Jacki’s Top 30 Favorite Episodes

All Hell Breaks Loose pts 1&2
I believe these are landmark episodes for every SPN fan. Im going to treat this like one episode because it really seems like one single episode.
A little back history, I came to this show late, it was already in S11 when I started binging fron the beginning. It was by the request of my friend, who had tod me a few times that she thought Id love the show, and I didnt believe her. fanatasy/horror/super hero shows are not my genre. I like dramas like NCIS and House MD but this? This is kid stuff.... not my thing. But I took her advice and watched. She made me promise to watch the first 2 seasons and if I still didnt like it by the end of S2, we could move on. So I did.  I didnt think seasons 1 and 2 sucked, I liked Sam Dean and John a lot but, the monsters, acting, and overall story was meh IMO. S2 was better, at least one or two more episodes from then made it to my top 30, but this one sealed my fate. I had heard a lot about this amazing, unmatchable chemistry these two had, but I wasnt really feeling the love. They fought constantly, Dean seemed too clingy and Sam seemed to not want to be with him much at all. and I wasnt really seeing this epic bromance I had been told about. And then All Hell Broke Loose! Sam mysteriosuly gets zapped away to demon camp, and Dean is desperate to find him. Sam’s side of the episode is very interesting, we are really seeing his leadership skills in action, and how he can be totally freaked out and not let it show. Jake, was such a good character, Im still upset he didnt stay around for a while, even as a bad guy.
Of course, the most important part of these episodes is that Sam is killed, and Dean’s brokeness and despiration. Im very shocked at first that Sam actually dies. I had thought since the show was in its 11th season at the time, that Sam and Dean cant/don’t die ever, so I never really had much concern for their well being. I learned they could be beat to hell and next episode they’re shiney and pretty as new, and if they’re still on the air, they obviously cant die right? And in a sense its true that they cant die, or stay dead, they still somehow manage to make their deaths very traumatizing. I learned here, that its not so much that one brother died, its more about the reaction of the other. Sam and Dean never know its not final. We may know, but they dont.
Jake and Sam have this big fight. Jake  is strong af but Sam manages to hold his own. This solidifies the notion I had, that even though Dean is the agressive one, and much faster to punch or kill, Sam Winchester is NOT a wimp. not a “damsel”. He is also strong af, a damn good fighter and has a very high pain threshold. He knocks the super charged “benched 800 lbs stone cold calm” Jake out cold. Almost kills him, but decides against it.... he wont make that mistake again eh? Walking away with apparently a broken shoulder, or arm, he hears Dean and sees him in the distance. DEAN!!! Sam smiles and releif washes over him, Dean isnt dead!! But right in front of Dean, Jake comes in from behind and stabs Sam in the back, and slices.... and severs Sams spinal cord WTF?? This scene is etched in every fans mind forever. Jensens acting here is nothing short of oscar worthy, but lets take a minute to appreciate Jared’s also. He doesnt have a speaking part right here, but he is truly portraying someone with a severed spinal cord. He falls to his knees to be imediately caught by Dean. He cant hold his head up, lift his arms, or even keep his eyes straight. He cant talk or even gasp for breath. Dean knows but is in complete denial. He’s gonna fix it, thats his job!! Take care of his pain in the ass little brother!! Deans shock and denial, along with his honest helpless greif, destroys me! The way he holds Sam and screams his name... and then burries his face in Sams hair and cries. I just cant! Next, we see that Dean has carried Sam’s body to an abandoned shack, and laid him on a mattress. Dean has laid Sams hands on his stomach like he’s resting. For a day or more, Im not sure, Dean stands there and stares at his dead little brother. He refuses to bury or burn him. Bobby doesnt want to leave him alone, he obviously cant handle this situation, but Dean has no shits to give. The person he loves most in the world is gone. Screw everything else.  Dean starts talking to dead Sam and this is heart wrenching. These 2 episodes change everything as far as their brotherly relationship goes. Its no longer just close, and deep its psychotic, irrational, dangerous, and the most beautiful thing ever! Dean doesnt know what to do. This is the absolute worst part of losing someone you love. The next step, what do you do? How can you even begin to try to continue to live?  Dean is beyond desperate. He goes and sells his soul to bring Sam back. And he doesnt get 10 years or even 5, he gets 1 year. 1 year and then he’s damned to eternal torment in hell. They cant try to break the contract or Sam dies again. A terrible trade off, but Dean takes it. When he sees Sam standing there in the room, alive, he gives him such a great hug!! This begins my obsession for brohugs!! Fast forward to the cemetery scene. A lot is going on here, Azazel is griefing them, Jake opens the hell gates (though the boys are blamed for this forever) Azazel asks Dean is Sam is REALLY the same old Sam?? We all wonder if Sam is ok when he stone cold shoots Jake repeatedly, with that one little blood drop on his face. Overall, Sam seems like Sam, but we at least know hes a little more killy now lol.  We get a bonus reunion with John, he touches Deans shoulder, gives him a tearfilled smile, and looks at Sam. For a long time, I was a little bit bitter that John didnt show any affection to Sam, but then I realized, or maybe its just a head canon, but John may have known that Dean sold his soul for Sam, and Joh was silently telling Dean he understood. John sold his soul for Dean, so he was like “The things we’ll do for love, right son?” John did some crappy things, but no one will ever convince me that he didnt love those boys with all his heart.  Sam figures out that Dean sold his soul for him, and hes pissed. But he finally comes out with what I needed to know for 2 seasons “Youre my brother... theres NOTHING I wouldnt do for you”. Yes... Sam is just as irrational, psychotic, and dangerously in love with Dean. And with that.... I was sold on SPN. I dont regularly go back to watch these episodes, but when I do, it still tears me up. Even moreso now that so much has happened because of it.  Sometimes, something big happens on the show and the negative people say that it makes this, or Deans trip to Hell, or Swan Song lose meaning, and it truly doesnt. It makes those things have more meaning. Everything that unfolded after those events up till now makes them more critical and adds the question “if they had known, would they still?” And knowing the answer would be “yes” just makes it all that much more brutally wonderful,  Now, go watch these episodes again, keeping in mind everything that transpired from it, and when Dean sobs at losing his little bro for the first time, allow your heart to break more for the big picture.

spn 1x22, liveblog, collected posts (all 13 of them) or as i like to call it: angry boyz and angry truckz
i like that we get to see Sam as blinded by anger
#cause he is very angry in that episode again #cause hes got every reason to #they were so close and now that failed and id be pissed too #and idk i just like that we get to see that
Bobby!!!
#like hes not my fav character #cause i hate how people idolize him when he fucks up a shitton #but i like the researcher character he is
i also really love that at this point demons are still truly terrifying
#like its not just oh demon stab stab #but truly absolutely terrifying and powerful #i miss that a bit
aaaand very dramatic first interaction with a victim of possession
#her remembering all the things she was forced to do :( poor girl
demon, putting the axe through the door: where’s johnny?
#cause they are trying to capture and kill them get it??? #and john... #ahaha im so funny
fuck, that’s one hell of a concussion
#and like at least some broken bones in the face #also more probably cause fuck me that dude is going to town on sam
honestly the fact that they changed John’s motivation from “i cant watch my children die” to Dean realizing John’s possessed cause he’s not pissed at him for saving his brother… it’s weird af to me?
#like jus two episodes ago john was like 'i cant watch my children die too' #but now? suddenly? it is????? #like i get it if they'd set it up more: well he wouldnt be proud of me in particular but he also wouldn't be pissed #instead of that? it would make much more sense? #ugh i hate this #especially since John used one of the bullets himself before because he wanted to save his family #this switch makes absolutely 0% sense and i hate it
ike… idk if they had set it up differently, if they had showed that John cared more about killing the demon than making sure his family stays alive, I’d get that switch completely.
Thing is: they didn’t.
And that just feels really weird to me?
#did they like forget everything in 2 episodes? #did one of the writers have a stroke while writing this causing them to forget everything that happened before??? #im probably overthinking or missing something here #but that change of pace never made sense to me because of how it was set up at first???
you know what makes more sense after that? the demon freaking out, not trying to reason with his Dean (which I’d imagine the real John would do) and instead immediately trying to get Sam to his side in order to kill the demon, that’s what makes him come off as suspicious to me, cause the real John would definitely try to convince Dean not to point a gun at him
#like i think he knows his son well enough
ohhhh, JDM plays the YED so well though!
#like... the change in his body posture is definitely there #the proud demon smirk is also great
“how would you feel if I killed your family… :D that’s right, I forgot. I did.”
That demon is very good at roasting. First Mary and Jess, now Dean.
for like 5 seconds, i forgot the truck was coming and i swear to god, it scared the crap outta me
#i nearly screamed that damn jumpscare #like my heart is racing
what a great and messed up series finale.
like imagining that this was actually your first hellatus?
wow. you’re there thinking: damn everythings over, they are all dead and now i gotta wait like a year for the new season.
meanwhile, I, blessed and also not in 2005 anymore, can just go to the next episode.
#the suspense wouda killed me #also i know they cant all be dead cause theres 13 more seasons #but damn son

Found this unpublished opinion buried in my drafts. A bit late but here it is anyway! ===
A friend and I watched Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 and had some major bones to pick, and ideas that would have made the movie better.
major spoilers below cut
For me the two cardinal sins of the film were Ego saying “I killed your mother” and breaking the walkman. “Of course you didnt like those things,” you might think, “You’re supposed to hate him for that”. It’s not that I disliked the character, those two ‘villain moments’ were just the lowest hanging fruit possible, and honestly the least interesting reason for Peter to change his mind and turn against Ego.
Consider instead: Ego truly loved Peter’s mother,  but his cosmic presence caused her sickness. He had to leave to give her some time alive with her son. Everything up to their reunion plays out the same way. Ego’s plants across the universe are meant to give him some amount of influence on the planets and cosmos surrounding them, but he does truly mean to make things “better” in his own idea (not just summon a bunch of blob???). He wants Peter to help him bring peace and enlightenment/joy/whatever positive vibes to the universe. Peter explains this to his crew and here’s where the conflict comes in.
Rather than a shoehorned “THIS GUY IS THE VILLAIN!!!” plot contrivance (seriously, Ego loves the music- why would he break the walkman??) the moral gray of one being controlling the universe, even if only subtly, rubs each of the guardians differently. For Gamorra and her sister this would be absolutely unacceptable, as they grew up under a universe-domination minded patriarch who fathered many children to aid him in his aim. Even if Ego’s children were all voluntary helpers who lived happy and long lives in his service, the sisters would find this too close to their nightmare past. Gamorra would vehemently argue with Peter, not about some vague intution (why is it in movies a woman never has logic, just “this feels wrong” as her primary argument against something?).
Drax may initially align with Ego’s goals of order and fatherly guidance, but as a father who lost his child would probably take offense to children dying in the process (again, even if it were voluntary and not portrayed as murder like in the actual film). We felt Groot may also be positive towards the idea of a collective universe, seeming to be a sort of collective himself (and “we are groot”- the idea of multiple beings sharing one identitiy). Rocket however, being a staunch anarchist, would be completely against Ego’s goals, which would cause conflict between Groot and Rocket.
All of this could have been compelling and interesting conflict to see play out. Instead it felt like the film wanted to simply rush from point B to C and get to the big fight between Peter and Ego, rather than a more thoughtful and interesting slow build of an inconsolable difference in purpose between the freedom loving guardians and Ego’s goals of order. It was disappointing to me that the story arc of Peter’s mysterious father was so quickly played and discarded, considering how much more could have been done.
And having him break the walkman was not only such a flashing neon VILLAIN sign that it was insulting to my intelligence, but also completely out of character. I understand what the writers wanted me to feel, but rather than being outraged with Ego, I was annoyed with the writers for thinking I and the rest of the audience wouldnt be able to handle a more complicated or morally gray conflict.
