I love your music! It's so creative and interesting!! How did you get into making music/do you have any tips? :D

hello anonymous, thank you, im really touched that you like it so much!!! im definitely an amateur but it makes me smile that some people enjoy what i do :)

it probably isnt good advice but i learned everything i know about composition and production by just downloading a DAW and doing it... i think i learn best by just figuring things out myself, and so that's been my chosen process (even though that gives me a pretty significant ceiling as to how good i can get, i'm making music for fun&to express myself so i'm not terribly bothered by that).

so i think my advice would be that! if you want to make songs just go do it, the more you do it the more you'll learn. :) i think a lot of people are, like i was, under the impression that music production is really inaccessible, but theres free software you can use for most things you need to make rudimentary songs, you just have to go out there and find it !!!!! and you'll be surprised with what you can do through trial and error .

as for composition, knowing chord relationships& other elementary music theory is good to do, it really helps you have a starting point to go off when youre writing. i don't have many good tips for production, because im bad at it! invest in some high quality drum samples i guess, i was using some crumpled up mc505 recordings pretty much exclusively for like a year and switching to an actual HQ drum pack has changed my fucking liiife. You dont have to buy them but theyre good to have
