gaining all those new followers from plagiarizing poc and running them off tumblr you're a terrible person and i hope you rot
so this is another really heavy accusation that i take very seriously.
who is it that i've run off, exactly ?? if you are said person or know them personally, i would love to have the ability to speak to you/them one-on-one, like grown adults, so that we can clear the air or discuss whatever issue there seems to be.
i doubt that you'll respond legitimately but this has always been my stance on your issue with me, that has kept you coming back to, not only my main account but also my nsfw account, daily. sometimes multiple times a day. you've also never once given me any kind of definition on what it is exactly that i've "plagiarized" — which, again, leads me me to believe you're just choosing to be hateful for no reason ?? the ONLY reference that's been made in the last few weeks that this has been going on, is the love island bakugou concept, and if that's what you're still sticking by, then — again — i urge you to understand what plagiarism actually is.

y/njudefans you are creating drama where there is none. it is a simple photo and we don't know the context behind it.
username he is a footballer, that already makes him a cheater
username i agree
vertappenssource was max's warning not clear enough?
username i saw it coming, she deserves better
username poor y/n:( i always thought she looked more in love than him
username for god's sake, stop assuming things and creating meaningless gossip
sunshine streamed through the window of our shared madrid apartment, casting a warm glow on everything it touched. except me. my phone, usually buzzing with life, lay silent on the coffee table. the cheerful chirping of birds outside mocked the turmoil brewing within me. a single picture, a single stolen moment, had shattered my world.
jude was in california for a commercial shoot. missing him terribly, i was holding down the fort back in madrid. social media, my usual source of joy, had become a minefield. a gossip page had exploded with a photo: jude, seemingly handsy with a random girl at a party. the caption screamed betrayal. my phone had become a vessel of concern, overflowing with messages from worried friends and fans.
"he wouldn't do that," i whispered, denial laced with a sliver of doubt. i knew Jude. i knew his loyalty, his unwavering love and i knew how harmful the networks could be. yet, the photo gnawed at me, a seed of suspicion taking root.
i decided to take my phone, just because i knew how worried my brother would be until now and i had to talk to him. and almost as if he read my mind, a video call from him came in
"hello liefje," he muttered, almost as if he was expecting me to explode at any moment. "i know how things may look right now, talk to jude before you do anything rash, you know how the media is."
"I know, it just took me by surprise. and I'm not going to lie, it hurt me a little but i know there is an explanation behind it." i told him, even though it wasn't a compromising photo, seeing him so close to another woman had made me think.
"in any case, let me know and i'll go beat him up." max answered me, pretending to hit his fists which made me genuinely laugh.
after talking to max for a while i felt calmer, but i still knew that i had to talk to jude, who i had not responded to for hours because i knew that my feelings were going to betray me.
days bled into one another. calls from jude went unanswered, my voicemails a silent plea for explanation. the silence stretched, a suffocating weight on my chest. i retreated into myself, a fortress of hurt and confusion.
then, the door creaked open, shattering the suffocating silence. jude, his face etched with worry, rushed in, his arms outstretched for me. i flinched, the photo flashing in my mind.
"where have you been?" he sighed, relief washing over his features. "why haven't you been answering my calls?"
his voice, laced with concern, chipped away at the walls i'd built. tears welled up in my eyes, a torrent threatening to burst. i thrust my phone at him, the photo accusingly displayed on the screen.
jude's brow furrowed in confusion as he looked at the picture. understanding dawned, followed by a wave of frustration.
"baby, i know what this looks like, but she was there for a photo. the media just took everything out of context, i would never be able to lie to you, you know." shame colored my cheeks.
"i should have called you," he admitted, his voice laced with regret.
i reached out, taking his hand in mines. "i should have trusted you," i whispered, the words heavy with unspoken hurt.
the silence that followed wasn't suffocating anymore. it was filled with the promise of a new beginning. we spent the night talking, clearing the air, the misunderstanding dissolving in the warmth of shared apologies and renewed trust.
the next morning, i woke up to the gentle sunlight and the feeling of jude's arm wrapped around me. he pulled me closer, his lips brushing against my ear.
"maybe next time, we travel together," he murmured, his voice a husky whisper.
i smiled, a genuine one this time. "no more long-distance misunderstandings," i agreed, snuggling closer.
the internet storm eventually subsided, replaced by messages of support and well-wishes. our love story, a little richer for having weathered a storm, continued, a testament to the power of communication and trust.

Fic Writer Interview
I have been tagged to do this by @plusultraetc and obviously I love talking about my fanfics so here will be more than you ever wanted to know!
How many works do you have on AO3?
At the moment 16! 11 MHA, 4 Cars, and 1 FNAF but y'know. We know which ones matter
What's your total AO3 word count?
218,641. That's a really big fucking number right there Jesus Christ. And with some of the chunky fics I have on there that number is only gonna get even stupider.
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1. Present Mic's Totally Bullshit Life
2. Crumbled Rooftops
3. How To (Hopefully Not Fail) At Telling Your Bestie You Love Him
4. Stray
5. Our Little Horror Story
Actually quite a surprise to me that my erasercloud fic takes 3rd, and 5th is my single FNAF fic. Not at all surprised by 1st and 2nd though lmaooo
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
ALL THE TIME!!! I love responding to comments even if it's just with emojis, but I also like to ramble in responses to stuff. I wouldn't be able to live without responding to them I love talking to people about my fics and I get some really good in depth ones anytime someone braves 54k erasermic one shot and crumbled rooftops especially.
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
Honestly I feel it has to go to After, my post-Oboro death story featuring Nemuri and Shouta. The whole thing is sad and at the ending the closest thing to happiness the characters get is that at least they have each other, but Oboro's still gone.
Technically the super short This Isn't How The Story Goes where I killed Shouta in place of Oboro could take this too but we all know I'm not actually doing anything else with that (and trust me it would have gotten angstier but other people have done the concept better than I made an attempt at in 2021)
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?
Present Mic's Totally Bullshit Life, for fucking sure! Look, it's pre-canon erasermic figuring their shit out and getting together for 54k and it ends on them getting married. We know in canon that things are absolutely going to shit down the road but in the context of that story which starts with Hizashi thinking of himself as Mic and being a little too used to faking smiles ENDING ON him being genuinely happy at his own wedding is a fucking phenomenally happy ending. I'm incredibly proud of that ending. It's such a great ending on that story.
Do you write crossovers?
I USED TO, not so much anymore but back in the day I used to write Cars and Transformers crossovers lmaoooo
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Someone got real pissy on one of my old Kirby fanfics at one point, whining about how it was illogical that the Kirby villains would help Kirby fight a bigger bad guy. Hope that reviewer in particular felt stupid when Kirby Star Allies released and all the DLC was previous Kirby helpers and villains coming to help fight the big bad.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I have written some but it is lurking on my Google drive because I'm not ready to have smut out there on the internet that people can look at. That's about what I can say on that front 😭
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
GOD I hope not
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope! People out here just want the Kyuri experience in English it seems which is fine, but if someone did want to translate my fics I think I'd ascend
What's your all-time favorite ship?
Honestly if it's a ship that involves Nemuri, Oboro, Hizashi, and Shouta in any combination, it's my favorite. Erasermic is the go to just because it's so damn easy to find but I'm also a sucker for Cloudnight, or Erasercloud, or Cloudmic and so on for the rest of them. Hell, Poly Rooftop Gang is something I really want to write at some point cause I have so many thoughts about their dynamic as a whole. There's really none within that group that I like less than others and if you name me a ship from it I have Thoughts And Feelings locked and loaded
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
Technically going back to it, the extended This Isn't How The Story Goes idea where Shouta died instead of Oboro. I have PLANS. They exist!!! They're out there in my brain and pieces are on Google docs but it's been so long since I put anything together that it's just kind of dead in the water. The only reason I don't orphan that one on AO3 is that I like the way I wrote it.
What are your writing strengths?
I think characters. I've had a lot of compliments about the way I write characters in my fics and I really do feel like that's my strong point.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Whenever I have to get more than two characters to talk I feel like it comes across more stilted. I like having dialogue flow without having to use dialogue tags for stuff, but sometimes I have to use them for bigger conversations and I'm just dying on the inside thinking it sucks the whole time.
Also Big Info Dumps. I never know how this kind of thing comes across (example- the talk with Kurogiri from Crumbled Rooftops chapter 7 or the last segment of Stray chapter 2). I don't WANT to know how it comes across. I feel like sometimes I should reiterate that I'm autistic/ADHD and my mind is like 'you must infodump here'.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
If I could speak another language i'd love to occasionally use that as a skill just for fun but the only time I've ever done this was using Google translate for an original novel based on an idea for a Kirby story I wrote and then the whole notebook got lost. So now the cringe lives in my head
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
It was either Star Wars or Monsters Inc, and I truly don't remember which it was because I posted two separate things the same day on ff.net and don't remember which went up first.
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?
I never think ahead fandomwise, but again. I WANT to write Poly Rooftop Gang SO BAD. I want to write for that dynamic so my thoughts can be out of my brain! This is a topic that has come up between me and @shabby-blog OFTEN! One day I will write the four of them together and the world will be made whole again 😌
What's your favorite fic you've written?
this is always such a hard question because I have three very large stories that are all beloved in their own right but today's answer is Stray
We're coming up on four years since I started writing it and I'm SLOWLY working on the last chapter, and it's got a very small but very dedicated group of readers and I just love that story so much. I went a crazy direction with it in terms of how I wrote it and the fact that people love it means a lot. I'm bound and determined to finish it even if it takes me a lot longer to finish it than I was hoping 😅
WELP that's all the questions I am free now and all the people I would have tagged have been tagged so HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED THIS

as someone who used to be huge bts fan and biased jimin and jk to now really only caring and being excited about jimin and his art feels so horrible to me tbh but i cant help it jungkook especially made me so dissapointed in this second chapter and i lost so much affection for him. i feel like he lost his appeal to me. Jimin however blew me away smf was just beyond amazing and then face and lc with all the art and heart in it ppl making all kinds of theories connecting him to poems, movies, queer ppl and writting essays about his work. I miss that i miss feeling of excitement and love like that with all 7 of them but jimin just seems to have stolen all my affection. i dont wanna be a solo stan tbh but i feel like i will never like bts as i used to.
Your line of thinking is so categorical, which is something very common when we're operating within a fandom. You mentioned lost affection, which indicates why you're feeling like this. It's the emotional involvement that makes us so involved and to feel so strongly about everything they do. And it can be something positive, like you said about Jimin, or something more negative, like your feelings towards Jungkook right now. I think it's easier for us to navigate these conversations once we acknowledge our position and we understand and admit were we're coming from. For example, I know that almost everything of Jimin's work is elevated and given extra importance in my mind because I like him. It doesn't mean that it's false or I made it all in my head, but if I only heard of him vaguely and looked through some of his work, I'd probably say at first "cool dude, he's interesting". And maybe if I was in the mood, I'd look it up more. It's the same as Jungkook fans now defending/celebrating every step of his career in Chapter 2 and they do that just like any other fan of an artist who is deep into a parasocial relationship. (Also, let's no hide or say only a category of fans are like that. Most of us are and we manifest in various ways).
If you want to label yourself as a solo stan, fine by me. Categories can make life easier, but they also limit not just us, but also those we are interested in or we don't really like. To me, this position is not one I would choose and I see the damage. Being so much involved in fandom, from the position of a solo stan, or a particular shipper/supporter or ot7/whatever else there is, can make us obtuse sometimes and more often than not, really mean in an environment in which online bullying is now acceptable. I see what JK solos say about Jimin and I see what Jimin solos say about Jungkook. It's horrible. Not only that, it's predictable because what they say is what is being transmitted throughout their own communities. It's like learning a script, especially when it comes to insults. And one has to be categorical and hateful. Not critical, because that would imply nuance and we know how no one cares about that.
I'm not enjoying the music Jungkook has been putting out in Chapter 2. I'm not enjoying how it's promoted. But to go from there and change my entire opinion seems too dramatic for me. He's not this horrible guy that he's being painted at. Just listen to him talk, watch his wlives. He's still a dork and he seems genuinely nice. I can live with all these thoughts in my head. Like I said, emotional involvement makes us go crazy, but in my case, previous experience with other creative people and celebrities is influencing the way I see things. I have favorite directors/actors that have some films that I consider really bad and so far from some of their earlier good stuff. But the world doesn't end there. It's ok. It's either a phase or they'll go down the hill, but there's still films that I like or I enjoy their way of looking at the world through their art. I like stuff from people I find displeasing, but I can put that aside and only look at the object.
It's the same with Jungkook for me. And if I don't like something, I will not waste my time trying to find excuses for it or defend it just because I like the person.
Just now I saw that clip of Bang PD talking about JK and it confirmed what others and I've been saying since Seven was released. This was Scooter's work, just as 3D and the other songs that will be released on the album. Jungkook in Chapter 2 musically and Golden are now the result of the partnership between Hybe and Hybe America. And it seems that the strategy is to focus on collabs to bring more attention to it, let Scooter gather all the songs and basically set the tone for everything and deliver a recipe for success. Do I wish Jungkook would let himself be convinced to put out a music album by other sort of people and not Bang & Scooter? Yes. But it was his decision and I can only look at the results and say that it's not for me. But I'm talking about it because I have an interest in Jungkook and because I have the right to say it, just like everyone on the internet.
I'm perfectly fine with all of these contradictions, while still expressing some of my frustrations. I won't expect from Jungkook something similar to what Jimin does because artistically they seem to not have that much in common right now, separately. It doesn't mean that I don't consider Jimin's work to have more artistic value. It has and it's something that I'm interested in and to which I pay attention to.
And sometimes, pop music is just pop music and we can simply enjoy it. Theoretically, that's Jungkook's path right now, but given how it came to fruition, the message it sends, knowing what Jungkook is capable of in terms of producing/writing lyrics, then it is disappointing to me. And so be it.

Hi There!
I might have an idea for Hanahaki disease Jack
But it also includes V for Vandetta reader so here:
I imagine that Jack, after knowing the Reader for a while and helping them, might have started to like them a bit too much. At first, he saw them as a friend but then he noticed something, every time they meet he couldn't stop staring at them, even if they were hiding their burned skin he thought that they are beautiful, every time they spoke he mostly focused on how their voice sounded and most importantly, his chest felt... Heavy? And he started to cough quite often... At first he thought nothing of it but then he saw rose petals coming out of his mouth followed by a bit of blood. When Reader tried to Ask if he was ok, he just smiled and told them not to worry about it.
When he finally wanted to tell them what is going on and about his feelings, they were already dying.
I'd like to think that the Reader knew but just couldn't accept his love because of their mission
"I'm so sorry you fell for someone so selfish as me"
Angst time here we go-
-
• Jack never thought that he'd get someone really... special within his life. After the incident with his Mother, he didn't exactly think he could see a genuine one for him. I mean... he's a murderer. An assassin that's only ever wanted to see the colors of someone dark enough to make him feel content with his "purifying acts".
And yet, he couldn't help but want the warmth of feeling love again. He wanted to see his Mother's color again. He didn't want it fake, however. He wanted it genuine. Whether it was for him or not. He wanted at least a small sliver. After all, can't a changed man get a sliver of a wish he's truly wanted, but never knew of until much later in his life?
And then he met you. "V", as he and others called you. Such an interesting person. Someone that blew up a statue with music you viewed as excellent and fascinating. Jack never did get to see your face by the time, but he was sure your expression was twisted with glee at your acts of rebellion.
Meeting you again, with you two having no care for the LPD that would soon surround the two of you. Fighting you was a joy to behold. Both of you seemed to fight almost the exact same. Think the same. And even process the same. Both experienced in your arts, cautious with what you do, reckless when you know what to do, and knowledgeable of what happens most of the time.
Meeting you again after you had planned to set off a bomb... Jack helped you with it. Even if he did get injured, and even if you two hadn't exactly communicated with each other much during that time. Thanks to him helping you, you had saved him from getting arrested, and even took care of his wounds whilst he was recovering.
He seemed greatly appreciative of your help, especially when you had cooked him something while allowing him to read from your own library.
Even if he had questioned you about the singed marks on your hands, you had regarded it as a "not so good table conversation" before moving it to something else. Yet, Jack didn't seem to care for it. After all, he didn't know you for your appearance.
The Shadow Gallery was something you two had looked at together as well.
Jack seemed stunned at the fact that you had stolen most of it, or rather, "returned then to where they rightfully belonged." But yet, having you guide him through everything always put him amazement. But, he started to feel warm. As if this was a friendship that he could actually start on.
Something he could actually trust instead of knowing fully well that he may get ambushed on a certain bridge above Lake Thames. No. You brung off a different energy. Something alike to his own. But, you weren't as twisted as he was. In fact, you were in line with the things you wanted to do.
You were never corrupt. You were never... desperate for certain colors. You were never desperate to see someone dead as their colors of life faded away in fear. Instead... you were focused on something much bigger.
A corrupt government that needed to be taught a lesson. Your way of doing things were... fascinating. Stealing things from supply trains, stealing the paintings and adding it to your Shadow Gallery. Getting rid of those you needed to just to execute your plan perfectly, blowing up statues...
In time, Jack had begun to figure out that these "friendly" feelings he had were not in fact platonic. The way he focused on your voice, the way you spoke, the way you walked, and the way you had done things... He mentally questioned if he would look at himself like this since he practically does the same thing, but he knew that it wouldn't be the same.
You were perfect in his eyes. Singed skin? Who cares. Dark past? Nonsense. He doesn't care. He has his own past of his own that he wouldn't like to share either. But, with the feelings rising up in his chest, he saw that you were focused on something else. Of course, you counted on him. As a friend. Someone you could count on. And that seemed to break his heart slightly.
It was then that Jack had begun to cough.
He brushed it off as a simple slight problem. But, he couldn't brush it off when he started to cough further. He even started to cough out sakura petals. Jack knew you noticed. And even if you questioned him, he had just brushed it off as a small cough.
Your concern and worry made him feel warm inside. It made him want to tell you how he felt. But when he looked into your colors... he held back on it. You looked so focused. Determined. Jack never had anything against it. In fact, he thought you looked beautiful with that kind of color in you.
But so badly... he wanted to confess, or at least hold your hand.
However, he couldn't. And as time went on, Jack got worse.
But, so did you.
He was accompanying you on something after a rebellion you started. You got shot in the sewers. Even if you did manage to survive some of it, considering your bulletproof armor under your clothes, you were still badly injured. And there was nothing Jack could do.
He knew you wanted to go out with one last surprise. And he wanted to as well. Especially when he knew there was something growing inside of him. Whether it be his feelings for you, or this sakura petal tree inside of him. He knew it was connected to his feelings for you, and he wanted to go out with you.
But, he wanted to let you know how he felt. After he got you out of the sewer, he had pulled you into some place at least moderately safe, and confessed there.
Even if it were in an alley, dirty and piss stained, as well as filled with trash, as well as your blood, Jack had confessed. His every feeling, as well as his every ounce of trust.
To have you say that you knew didn't shock him. He knew you were perceptive. But, he wanted to know what your feelings for him were. To hear that you were apologetic about not acknowledging his feelings crushed him. But not in the way that would make him feel negatively for you. But instead, it only pulled him closer to you.
He never did take off your mask whilst listening to you. Even as he kept a grip on your hand whilst you were slipping from his life.
It only made it worse once his coughing got more intense, and that you had apologized.
"I'm sorry that you fell for someone as selfish as I."
Jack had only smiled in reply, refusing your words before speaking of how meeting and becoming friends with you was the best moments of his life, even if some of it were irritating.
The only regret he really had was not being able to confess sooner. But yet, this was perfect enough.
Considering you never accepted his feelings before death, Jack had took care of everything. The explosives, as well as the train that would soon make its way under a statue that you so longed to destroy.
Jack spent his final moments with you, dying from the disease caught in his body before you two had blown up the statue, going out with a certain bang that had freed London from its government.

20 asks for fic writers
ty for the tag @plecotusauritus and @wanderingdonut <333
1. How many works do you have on ao3?

300,242 (damn)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
hp, have considered branching into black sails and good omens
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes! I love comments!
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending
Uhhh I guess the corndog fic?? all my wolfstar fics currently end happily, though Of Monsters and Cowards has more of an open ending
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
They're all happy honestly, but The Hut of the Mistold is probably the most neatly wrapped up, all the warm and fuzzies, happily ever after ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nothing directly mean, but I'll get comments that make me go, "why did you feel the need to say that?" Like ranting a little too enthusiastically about the main character's choices or commenting on how they wanted more of xyz in a chapter (especially when the fic isn't even finished!) Oh and I got one the other day from a guest on a reply I made to someone else that was clearly trying to start an argument about something that had nothing to do with the fic??? I don't respond to those comments.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Typically I write a little smooching that fades into a vague description, but I wrote six different versions of smut for don't cover our tracks
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I write a lot of AU's based in other worlds, but not crossovers. (Unless @impishtubist and I make the ineffable wolfstar crossover happen!)
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of. And hot take—I genuinely think a lot of cases of "fic stealing" are just coincidence. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I do believe we're all collectively tossing around one brain cell, and we're bound to have similar ideas.
I once read a fic that shared a lot of themes/ideas/details with one of my fics, and upon discovering this, I plotted to trick the writer into becoming my deeply beloved mutual.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I've had people ask if they could translate my fics before a few times, but I don't think anything has come of it?
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not currently... (refer to 10)
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Wolfstar
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
... probably the ATLA AU :/
The idea possessed me back in January of last year, and I plotted out the entire thing, but I've had no motivation to actually write it. I think the problem is that it's too cinematic, and I can't translate it to prose.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Probably world-building, in the way that I can look at one world and say "how would this translate to another?" "what little details and references can I pull from and play with?" "how do I adjust my writing style to make this feel like the genre I'm replicating?"
Also unusual metaphors, zingy little commentary, and comedic timing in dialogue.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I really struggle with prose. Which sounds silly, but like, I'm not writing prose—I'm translating the screenplay in my brain to prose, which is weird. And I think it can make my writing really jarring because it's lacking that slow, immersive reflection that is just so delicious when done well.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Dude I put a few Welsh words in hotm and panicked that even those would be wrong. If it was ever important for the story, I'd find someone who spoke the language to help me.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
hp
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Please Don't See Me

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Tagged by: @mothmage, @hekateinhell & @desertfangs Thank you my loves 💞
1. How many works do you have on A03? 19 atm but that's about to become a lot more from next month lmao.
2. What’s your total A03 word count? 46,413
3. What fandoms do you write for? The Vampire Chronicles and as of right now, nothing else.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? Nothing's Fair in Love and War Drunken Matrimony Lupercalia Experimentations and The Long Road
5. Do you respond to comments? I do, always!! I love responding to comments, it's one of my favourite things about writing fics tbh.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? The way I've had to think about this for too long because several of my fics could fit here. I think I'd say The Long Road because although there is hope (and the knowledge from canon) that things will get better for Louis, but he's still in the depths of his darkness and there's such a long way to go re: his recovery. That or Let Sleeping Lions Lie. (I would've said my siren au, but I think that's more my darkest ending to a fic, as opposed to the angstiest.)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I'd say it's either Second Chances or Drunken Matrimony. I think they're also very sweet endings.
8. Do you get hate on fics? No, no that I know of anyway. If anyone is hating on my fics, I don't know about it.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do but it's canon compliant, so no actual sex. There's two reasons for that: 1.) because I'm not quite there yet with wanting to write full on smut and 2.) because I genuinely just really enjoy writing canon complaint smut. As much as I really love reading smut, I feel like there should be more fics that embrace and explore the vampire's canon asexuality. It's a part of canon that I really enjoy and think is very important, so I like to bring some of that into my fics too!
Also, when it comes to Louis' character in particular, imo anyway, it's a good insight into him during IWTV. Because even though it's not actual sex, I find it interesting to explore how he might be reluctant to even just share blood in an intimate manner, because of his repression re: his queerness in that time.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I haven't written any crossovers yet and I don't know that I ever will tbh. It's just not something I see myself writing.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? No, I hope not anyway. I'm not aware of it if that has happened.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I haven't, but if anyone ever wanted to, that would be cool.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but I'd totally be down to if someone wanted to co-write with me one day!
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Loustat all day everyday!! (Though Loumand follows extremely close behind.)
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Ngl, I always intend on finishing any WIPs I have. Even if it takes me a while, I will always try to complete one if I've already started it.
16. What are your writing strengths? I think just the fact that I'm able to wing it. I don't plan anything when I'm writing. I always have a basic idea as to what I want the fic to be about, but when it comes to actually writing it, I don't plan/draft anything. I just go for it and make it up as I go.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I'm trying to improve on making my fics longer. I think I'm slowly getting better, but there's still progress to be made lmao.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I quite like it. I have written some small bits in French but that's using Google translate. (ik, ik. Not overly accurate) I think if the character speaks another language that they would use relatively frequently, then I think it can be quite good to add it in.
19. First fandom you wrote for? I'd like to say TVC, which is technically right, but years ago when I was still in school, I had to do some creative writing for English, and I did write what was basically Crimson Peak fanfic. So depending on how you look at it, it's either Crimson Peak or TVC.
And actually, now I think about it, ever since primary school, I've always based my creative writing for school off things I was into. So on that basis, who knows what my first ever fic was about lmfao. For the sake of this, we'll say it's TVC.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Tbh, I don't know if I have a favourite. All my fics are my babies, and if I try to say just one of them, then I'll just be like "Oh wait actually, what about this one? Oh but I really love this one too!" And it would keep going until I've mentioned all of them, so I can't choose.
It's Hē Seirḗn

Lucanis WIP
I'm working on a Lucanis x Crow Rook fic and thought I'd share a chunk. The story is going to explore some of the darker aspects of the Crows, and how their respective backgrounds influenced them. This snippet in particular is about how Lucanis's background has made it difficult for him to separate intimacy from violence. This scene is from when he is around 18, and has just moved out of Caterina's villa.
TW for brief violence and spicy makeouts. I'm hoping to get more written before I actually begin post this to AO3, but would love to see if anyone else is interested in this kind of story. I'm really excited about it!
Caterina was not the first visitor Lucanis had wanted in his new apartment, and yet here she was.
Caterina’s cane thunked heavily against the cheap pine floors as she toured the modest space, her nose wrinkled at the smell.
“You know the family’s downtown apartments are always available to you, right?” she said, her eyes scanning the slim bed, rickety desk, and barren drawers that served as Lucanis’s only furniture.
“I know. I’ll move there when I feel like I’ve earned it. How can I understand my marks if I’ve hardly lived in the world?”
Caterina nodded, and Lucanis couldn’t help but feel like he’d passed some kind of test.
Caterina sat carefully on the stained chair in the corner and nodded her head.
“You’ll do well here, my boy,” she said.
“Or I’ll die.”
A genuine laugh fell from Caterina’s lips at that. Lucanis couldn’t count the number of times he’d heard Caterina’s personal motto growing up: succeed or die. And of course Caterina loved nothing more than her own orders repeated back to her.
“That’s right, she said with a smile, “And I know which side of the coin you’ll fall on.”
“Thank you.”
Caterina reached into the dusty old handbag she always carried and pulled out a short, wicked-looking dagger.
“One last gift before I go,” she said, and instead of handing the blade to Lucanis, she walked over to his bed and tucked it nearly under his pillow.
“Really, Caterina?” Lucanis asked. “You think I don’t have enough knives?”
“You can never have enough knives,” she dismissed. “And now you have a proper Crow housewarming.”
“My house definitely feels warmed,” Lucanis muttered under his breath.
There was no way Caterina’s sharp ears didn’t hear him, but she ignored it.
“I’d best be on my way,” she said, gathering her things to herself with her chin raised. “Your cousin wants to show me his own apartments.”
“Of course.”
She walked out the door and Lucanis watched her go, wondering what she’d think of Illario’s luxurious new home. It would be strange, living without his cousin for the first time since their parents had died. Lucanis was worried that their time apart would deepen the already growing contrast between them.
From somewhere down below, Lucanis heard the street front door of his walk-up apartment close. Caterina was gone, and something tense in Lucanis’s chest eased.
Then, mere moments later, a soft knock sounded at the door.
Lucanis’s heart rate picked up. He had barely heard her footsteps approach his door. She must have taken his urge for discretion seriously.
In two steps the door was open, revealing the smiling, heart-shaped face of the woman he adored.
“Mariana!” he said, embarrassed at how breathless he sounded.
“Lucanis! I waited for your grandmother to leave. It felt like it took forever,” Mariana said. She was the picture of Antivan beauty: rich, clear skin, a generous figure, and mouth made for smiling.
“I’ve been waiting for this visit all week. Imagine how long that’s felt for me.”
Her smile broadened, and Lucanis knew he’d never tire of seeing it. He’d thought her smile cute when they’d first met at her stall in the market the previous year. Now, after sharing evening strolls, stolen kisses, and countless cups of coffee, Lucanis was convinced she was the most beautiful woman in all of Thedas.
“May I come in?” Mariana asked, and Lucanis realized she was still waiting on the threshold.
“Of course, of course, mi vida.”
“‘Mi vida’?” she said, stepping into the apartment with a coy smile. “You’re very bold today.”
He closed and locked the door behind her with one fluid motion, then pulled her into his arms.
“Something about you makes me feel bold.”
She laughed and swatted him playfully on the chest.
“I’m just a normal shop girl. What could possibly be inspiring about me to a Crow?”
He caught the hand that had swatted him and pressed it to his cheek, relishing in the feeling of fingers meant to caress and love rather than maim and kill.
“You are anything but normal to me, mi vida.”
Lucanis believed this with his whole heart, but he couldn’t deny that her very normality was part of the appeal. As steeped in the cloak and dagger of the Crows as he was, the pure and unqualified affection of a girl like Mariana was a breath of fresh air.
“Hmm, pretty words,” she hummed. “Do you care to prove them?”
Her hand pulled gently down his cheek, onto his chest, and further down. Not to the point of lewdness, but further than they had ever gone before. She’d always respected his boundaries, and the canals and alleyways they’d frequented in the past hadn’t afford this level of privacy.
Lucanis’s mouth went dry. Alone with Mariana. Nothing holding them back.
His hands went to her hips and he pulled her flush against him. He couldn’t pull away even if he’d wanted to, drawn to her like the tides to the moons.
“You drive me crazy,” he said, lowering his mouth to the space where her shoulder and neck met.
Her arms snaked up his back and she walked him backwards through the small apartment. Back, back, back, until they were falling onto his bed. Soon, she was straddling him. Her small hands raked up and down his body, and his thoughts lost any form of coherence.
Things were moving faster than he’d expected, but how could he complain? He was in paradise. She was bliss.
She kissed him, her tongue passionate and demanding. He tried to keep up, but in the back of his mind a strange sense of unease started to creep in.
What, are you afraid, cousin? Illario’s mocking voice sounded in the back of his head. What would the other houses think if they knew the great Lucanis Dellamorte was afraid of women? Afraid of sex?
Mariana started to undo the buttons of his shirt, and Lucanis let her, defiantly spurning the voice in his head. He wasn’t afraid of this. He wasn’t afraid of anything.
He reached for her thighs under her generous skirts, but before he could explore further, she unbuckled one, two, three belts and threw them to the floor. The fine leather and metal knife sheaths thudded heavily on the wooden floor.
“We won’t be needing those right now, will we?” she said with a smirk.
Then she leaned in to kiss him again. As she leaned, her weight shifted. A warning voice that sounded strangely like Caterina broke through the muddled warmth in his mind. The voice screamed at him words of danger, caution, and violence.
Mariana was on top of him, her knees pinning him tightly to the bed and her hands pressing his shoulders into his pillow. Lucanis suddenly felt trapped, as vulnerable as a hare in a hunter’s snare. He jerked his body to the side right as Mariana’s dagger stabbed into his ribs.
“House Velardo send their regards” her hot breath hissed into his ear.
Ignoring the pain, Lucanis’s hand strained against her grip long enough to find the handle of Caterina’s knife under his pillow. As his fingers closed around it, he yanked his hand free and sliced the dagger across her neck in a flash. She collapsed on top of him immediately, her warm blood dripping onto his bare chest.
Lucanis’s heart raced with adrenaline. He shoved Mariana’s body off of him and forced himself to stand. Upon inspection, the wound in his side was deep but not lethal. She would have got him right in the heart if he hadn’t moved at the last moment. She certainly had known what she was doing.
Hands shaking, Lucanis gathered up his clothing and set about washing all the blood away using only the water from the tiny sink in the bathroom. He had no idea how long it took. Then he dressed himself and headed for the Diamond.
He told the man who usually dealt with the bodies about Mariana’s corpse. Only the location--no other details. He told nobody else.
That night, he drank with Illario until the shaking stopped. If Illario noticed, he said nothing.

20 questions for fic writers - from the ever incredible @like-pilot-lights!!!!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
12! Although I've purged this account multiple times, so god only knows how many there used to be.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
84,147!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently just Formula 1, but my history is... questionable. (Dan and Phil, The Amazing Spiderman, Visual Kei)
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? -
Is It Gay to Watch Your Teammate on Tiktok? (Landoscar) - genuinely had no idea this would garner so much interest?????
Middle Child Syndrome (Lestappen) - with love, this fic is the bane of my existence. Pacing whomst? Embarrassing to read tbh.
Rules of Engagement (Lestappen) - domestic fluff, my beloved!
Second Time's the Charm (Lestappen) - idiots in love, my beloved!
All The Stars We Cannot See (Lestappen) - this holds a fond place in my heart
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Always! The neglected youngest child in me craves validation like no other lol. Plus, I like the feeling of community it gives, especially when I see the same people in multiple works ^^
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I am a spineless worm and cannot write angst :)))))
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
uhhhhhh I'd say they're all similar? Ish? Love a "getting together" trope, man.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No, and I've never seen hate on any F1 fic I've read! Thank god
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
No, but -- according to my old fic archives -- FIFTEEN YEAR OLD LIQUID THOUGHT SHE COULD???? WHY????
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I haven't! Though my gf and I have a running joke of a Yuri on Ice!!! x F1 crossover
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No one's had bad enough taste to claim mine as theirs lol
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes!!! It's still on my AO3 lol, but someone translated one of my Amazing Spiderman fics into Mandarin (it haunts me)
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? no, although
Not formally, but @like-pilot-lights and I basically spam each other in chat until we find the plot so... she's basically my co-author on everything lmao
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
Sebchal was my first F1 love, and therefore will always have a special place in my heart. That said, I think it would be a tie between sebson and sewis? Sebastian is the common denominator, as always, and there's something about... them seeing him grow from red bull to ferrari, the trust and respect? I can't articulate it but god I love them.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
oop the sequel to Second Time's the Charm has been in my drafts for.... ages.... and for some reason just won't come to me. I'll never say I won't finish it though, the idea could hit at any time!
I've also had a lestappen twitch streamer AU in my drafts for ages, but I can't seem to nail down the tone? The characterization, maybe.
16. What are your writing strengths?
If I'm honest, I'm not entirely sure? I don't think I'm consistent enough in my writing to have any strengths. I guess my writing occasionally has a pretty specific style to it, so maybe 'stylizing'? If that's a strength?
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I :) cannot :) shut :) up :)
Probably pacing as a result of my obsessive exposition dumping. I also frequently get arrested by the "he wouldn't fucking say that" police tbh.
Oh, and I'm trying to break the habit of writing in a way that sounds good in my very specific mental inflection, which often doesn't translate well when someone else reads it. That's a hard habit to break.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I don't mind it if it has a thematic purpose, but just for funsies? I don't see the value add
19. First fandom you wrote for?
... Visual Kei ... the GazettE had content on livejournal back in the day
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Although I don't think it's my best fic, I have a soft spot for The Sum of Our Parts (sebchal). It was my second fic in the fandom, and it was the piece where I felt like I found my personal tone.
It was also the moment where I proved to myself that I could write more than one fic, that I could still come up with ideas like when I was younger. It was a very... solidifying experience, if that makes sense?
I'm thankful to that fic, despite all its flaws.
I think everyone I know has been tagged? Throwing a few people out there though, zero stress if you don't wanna do it <333 @felixsaysstuff @jennarations @f1-giuki @lattesqueeze

Note
hello! this is your free pass (or threatening reminder. however you want to interpret it.) to ponder your AUs!
ramble about them if you want even. or perhaps keysmash about which is your favorite. it's enrichment.
THANKS SEI. OK OK HERE HERE brainrot time. Um reading cut bc I think I'm just gonna word vomit.
Ok first things first. For the Bigtop Burger au, I'm still rolling with Lark's idea where Dood essentially infested and turned a normal food truck into an eldritch, Doodler foodtruck. That FUN and CUTE. ALSO SEI IM MAKING YOUR'S AND LARK'S MAKEUP IDEAS CANON IN MY HEAD BC THEY BALL SO HARD.... Scary purple drippy makeup, Normal has school-spirit pep rally dots ( I think maybe either blue and red bc purple OR yellow and blue bc. cute?), Taylor in my head has orange flame inspired makeup, and Linc has green football stripes :]
As for the function of the food truck, I haven't thought too hard bc this au strikes me less as a super serious story one, and moreso as a S1 Bigtop Burger au where Shit Just Happens For Fun. The teens run it on the side as a cover for Dood and to get around while making some money ( maybe the money they earn is converted into daddy Warbucks bc that gimmick was good). Also Scam Likely has a food truck and it's a zomburger esc. rivalry. And I was maybe think the Mayor/The other Dooderlized people have one too but i'm not sure about that! I'd like to hear thoughts!
+ I was just thinking it would be cute if the other NPCs got roped into it for a brief amount of time. Like Erica, Margherita, Hermie OFC ( he's gonna pull grand-theft auto instead of a mascot heist), maybe the Varsity Soccer Team... something something, another Agent Schmegan car chase but it's an eldritch clown food truck filled with teenagers. I JUST MISS THIS SILLY AU AND I'M ALWAYS DOWN FOR BIGTOP BURGER,,
The Actor au is super similar in that it's not really anything besides silly, but I was just thinking of more fun scenarios! Like Henry having to be suspended in the air while doing "magic" because I love. shots of actors dangling in their dumb littles harnesses. Or clips of a show without the effects put in so it's just dorks waving their hands around and yelling. I was also thinking about how actors do side interviews/gameshows(?) and how the bonus episodes of the show are Just That.
OKOK and for the Krampus au(?) or whatever I'm doing with that because I'm just. thinking. plotting. But I wanna keep the silly art side idea with Glenn as Krampus, Darryl as Santa, Henry as a Christmas Elf, and Ron as like....a big gingerbread man. but I was thinking maybe a real au.
the main setup I have right now is the Dads being normal. vaguely-fantasy. villagers. Darryl being a carpenter/woodsman, Henry being a town healer maybe, and Ron being a traveling merchant who lives there/sets up shop. But there's a Weird Fucked Up Creature in the woods and everybody tells their kids its Krampus and they're gonna get stolen/eaten if they misbehave and he becomes this genuine myth. But turns out! probably after one of them runs into him in the woods ( probably Darryl), it's just. Glenn. and he's a goat demon monster but he's actually Pretty Chill! and he starts coming around town more and messing with people bc the Dads pretty much "invited him in" y'know. I was also thinking about having Nick as a baby goat demon...... unsure if Morgan would also be a demon or a human woman....
Thats just my way of getting my fill of monster content because I LOVE. WHEN PEOPLE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH MONSTERS... and they're already so awkward around monsters in universe so them having to navigate this demon who hangs out on their roof is PERFECT.
I also have my various unplanned/nonsense-aus cluttered around. Like the Dads as monsters, I was thinking a Swap Au ( either just Closeson or all the Dads. If all, I think it was that Darryl was the Bard, Ron was the Barbarian, Henry was the Rouge, and Glenn is the Druid. Alternatively, Darryl-Rouge, Glenn-Barbarian, Henry-Bard, and Ron-Druid).
I have a lot of thoughts and none of them string together coherently.

[20 Question Fic Writer Tag]
tagged by @findusinaweek - Thank you my dear 🤍
How many works do you have on AO3? 16 atm
What is your AO3 word count? 451,021 words
What fandoms do you write for? Assassin's Creed Odyssey & Valhalla, Stardew Valley, Ancient History & Historical RPF, Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War (Yes, I insist this is a true fandom lol), and Hades game (though they aren't on AO3 atm). Oh, I also wrote a AC Syndicate fic ages ago which I still have somewhere.
What are your top five fics by kudos? Snatched Moments (ACV); The Warmth of Home (ACO); Another Turn Around the Wheel (Stardew); Unfinished Business (ACO); and The Gods Only Know (ACV).
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Absolutely. I know exactly how hard it can be to leave comments, and I think it's important to acknowledge that - from the single love heart to the genuinely long comments (like several paragraphs) - I want to show my appreciation. Also, I get loads of historical questions, and I'm always so excited to answer those.
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Rising to the Surface, hands down... Though come to think of it, The Good Spartan is a close second.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most of them end well, but I think my current fic is going to be the most traditionally happily ever after... probably. If not, then Another Kind of Odyssey wins.
Do you get hate on fics? Not really - though I've had the ol' 'You owe me an ending, I read this far!' before.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yeah, mlm mostly; but I don't think I'm particularly good at it, so the story really has to demand it for me to go there.
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I mean, technically The Good Spartan is a Thucydides/Odyssey crossover, favouring Thucydides - but unless trying to make a game which is almost entirely historically inaccurate [affectionate] into something accurate is crazy... which yeah, now that I write that, I think it probably is :D
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of.
Have you ever had a fic translated? No.
Have you ever cowritten a fic before? No - I have tried writing collaboratively in non-fic projects, but it's not for me.
What's your all-time favourite ship? I could not possibly choose one.
What's a WIP you'd like to finish but doubt you ever will? Crawling Kingsnake, my Hades game fic. I really like what I have so far, but my brain has moved on and I can't see myself getting back into that mindframe again.
What are your writing strengths? So just from what others have said of my writing, off the top of my head, I'm good at: conveying a lot of information clearly and succinctly; drawing out the signficance of small everyday moments; writing non-conformist characters and *waves a hand vaguely* the historical stuff.
What are your writing weaknesses? I have a penchant for interiority in my characters that I have to fight against, or there would be far too much thinking in every chapter. I use 'in a moment' so much I have to do a word search every time and remove a billion instances where it's not necessary; and I don't use contractions naturally, so editing is a lot of fixing that.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I mean, I'd do it if I could, but my language skills don't stretch that far. More broadly, I'm fine with it in other work if a translation is provided .
First fandom you wrote for? Assassin's Creed Odyssey technically, if we're talking knowing it was fanfic as I was writing it; though back when I was 6 I wrote a story heavily inspired by Gone with the Wind so... Gone with the Wind, I guess. (Or LOTR when I was in my teens...)
Favourite fic you've ever written? The Good Spartan and Shadow-Twin, maybe?
Tags with zero pressure @krankittoeleven (you knew it was coming lol) @ainulindaelynn @myriath @merelyafigment @softest-punk and anyone else who might want to jump in 🤍

20 Questions for Fic Writers!
Thank you for the tag @queerofthedagger <3
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
22
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
242,705, which is absolute madness. didn't even realise i have that much to say abt merlin and arthur lol
3. What fandoms do you write for?
BBC Merlin xx
4. Top 5 fics by kudos?
stone cold: the one where merlin was turned into stone. bit heavy i have to admit, no idea what i was on when i wrote it
through storm and hellfire: the one where merlin was kidnapped to force Destiny™'s hand , things went to shit, and arthur went through a Difficult Journey of Discovery (or: the wringer) where he learnt that his dad was not, in fact, a good guy....among other things
flickering embers: the one where arthur lost merlin to the veil between the worlds only for merlin to be spat back out, lose his memory, and become a druid leader
winning the battle: the one where old religion claims everything that makes merlin merlin as a price for the immense magic he used to win arthur's battle
quiet light: the one where merlin stayed mad after agravaine convinced arthur that gaius was a traitor
my takeaway from this is that people enjoy it when i make arthur suffer
5. Do you respond to comments?
i do try but i am genuinely horrible at it. it's so so nice to receive them and i read every single one but i kind of don't know how to respond to them sometimes. one day we will get there
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
i did intend for the long way round ANd a line that goes all the way to have angsty endings but oops guess my hand slipped.
the number of times i intended a fic to have an angsty ending only for me to faff with it later... unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on where you stand on this) my mind would not let me rest until I added a happier ending
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
the three trials. it ended well for everybody. and not to toot my own horn or anything but i'm quite happy with it. i think i have a tendency to rush endings generally speaking, but i quite enjoyed writing the ending to this one.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
not yet and tbh i'd prefer to keep it this way thank you xx
9. Do you write smut?
i do like thinking about writing it but i just can't bring myself to actually type it out before i give myself the ick. maybe one day
10. Do you write crossovers?
no
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not that i know of
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
no
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
no
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
i think the fact that im still in here 10 (?) years after the show ended on says something about merthur lol. once and future ship init
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
the sword and his shield. i still really like the concept i have for it and i still have the ideas for it rattling around in my head, but i just feel like it flopped. i write for myself and clear my head of plotlines and random bits of dialogue rather than external validation, but it just feels a bit like mumbling into the void
16. What are your writing strengths?
banter and describing emotions that are not my own <3
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
worldbuilding. coming up with the concept is fine, i can do that, but i find the keeping track on them challenging
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
i mean if somebody else wants to do it, go for it, fair play, but personally i will not. only because i can't be 100% sure that i wouldn't get things wrong
19. First fandom you wrote for?
fairly sure i wrote HP (drarry), just never published it. don't remember what it was about, either.
the first one i published on ao3 was marvel (stevebucky). i have not touched it since my return to fandom and tbh im not going to
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
i feel like i should say storm and hellfire because it is my child, it is the longest thing i've ever written, and i feel like it is the only thing i write that resembles an Actual Story (idk how else to put it). i surprised myself by actually finishing it. think it took about two years and i was a bit bereft after the last chapter was posted.
that being said, the fic i enjoy rereading the most (i.e. without cringing) is probably a line that goes all the way. it ticks all my own boxes and caters to all my interests lmao what can i say
not tagging anybody in particular but if you'd like to do this, feel free to say i tagged you xo

twenty questions for fic writers
tagged by the incomparable and enchanting @icescrabblerjerky , and you caught me while I'm already comparing writing stats for other things so this fits in well with that task ;)
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 19 baybeee
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 2,319,545. I am. Verbose.
3. What fandoms do you write for? Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Legend of Zelda, Ace Attorney, Mystic Messenger, and then I wrote the novelization of the song 6969 by Ninja Sex Party and a Caduceus character study for CR.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Indefensible (Ace Attorney) has 1,234 (HA!)
As Bright as the Stars (Mystic Messenger) has 1111 (ALSO HA)
Tearing Down the Heavens (Dragon Age: Inquisition) has 730
Hundred Years in the Making (LoZ: Breath of the Wild) has 627
We Are Ferelden (Dragon Age: Origins) has 271
Genuinely really surprised none of the Mass Effect fics are in this category, I'm so proud of those XD
5. Do you respond to comments? Absolutely always, whenever possible. lol I will also ramble at anyone that asks me questions.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably The Traveler, which I warn you from the very start has a sad ending. It's Dragon Age fic retelling the stories Solas tells of his time dreaming in the Fade, with the trappings of a Doctor Who theme in which he travels through the fade with a series of companions.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Uhhhhhhh I think probably We Are Ferelden comes closes to a happy ending? Eventually I will give my DA series an actual happy ending though. Most of them end either bittersweet in some way or as a sort of non-ending ending because I know the story continues.
8. Do you get hate on fics? I've gotten a wee bit of hate on the Zelda fic, Hundred Years in the Making, but it was fairly mild. I don't really respond to it much though because it's hard for a stranger to say something that will actually hurt my fee fees XD
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Oh yeah, sure. Most my fics contain smut of some kind. I don't really write smut without plot, though, it's gotta be a natural part of the narrative or I just lose interest.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I have not. I just haven't thought of one that caught my attention enough to want to write it down.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of. I have had some lines and suggestions used, but usually that's with credit. lol now I HAVE had jokes and things I've said stolen but that's a bit different.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope! I'd prob be open to it but I'd deffo want credited as the OG author.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes! I think it's been orphaned now though lol
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? I CAN'T CHOOSE THIS. But prob Shakarian.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? I will finish all my WIPs, how dare you doubt me. (The Traveler would have been my choice for this but I FINISHED IT NOW MOTHERFUCKER)
16. What are your writing strengths? Words....go many. Big words. lmao honestly I don't ever really know. I think I'm good at characterization.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Brevity.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I do it sometimes, but usually make an author's note that it's done with shitty translation software so it will not be Authentic. (if I were putting it in a novel I'd prob pay to have someone look it over, but fic is free and thus my resources put into it are limited lol)
19. First fandom you wrote for? I'm gonna assume the AU crossover I wrote for Pokemon/Dragonriders of Pern/Zelda/Narnia when I was 9 does not count. lol it was Dragon Age tho
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written? My Mass Effect series, I think. I love different things about all my fics, usually because I was doing different things in all of them, but A Name for the Stars trilogy is something that I'm most proud of. Almost every scene in that serves a plot purpose and I wove a LOT of different things together to create one cohesive thing, and I think if you can get through all of it, it has the biggest bang for the buck. Also I burned that realllll slow XD
I will tag @jusbeinkt and @kesla and @literarypeachtea and @tinkeringteacup (do it if you feel like it, no pressure here frens lol)

20 questions for fic writers
Thank you to @kay-elle-cee for tagging me !
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
10, which is wild because I think the last time I was asked this it was only 5.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
109,801 words
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Exclusively Harry Potter, I can't imagine writing for any other fandom at this point. Within HP, I'm pretty exclusively jily, though I have dabbled in hinny and even some scorose in my early fic writing days.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
some with arrows, some with traps london is lonely laundry day glad he's gone (this genuinely shocked me, but I do love this one so much) love it if we made it
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I usually try to respond to everyone commenting right when the fic or latest chapter drops and I'll keep it up for a couple of weeks, but I often forget to respond if they come in any later. If it's a particularly long comment I will usually respond though, just because I'm so in shock that someone took the time to write something that nice.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
hmmm....I mean probably champagne problems (though it's incomplete). This is also my most polarizing fic I think out of everything I've written. I do think i am no mother, i am no bride will eventually usurp the fic with the angstiest ending though. Or my hypothetical remus lupin halloween fic I'm thinking about for this year.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Ooohhh, I mean probably some with arrows, some with traps, right?
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not really. I'd say the closest is people getting angry about how slowly I update certain fics. I'd also say a lot of people REALLY don't like Lily in champagne problems, which I sometimes take personally because I put a lot of myself in her lol.
9. Do you write smut. If so, what kind?
I am terrified to write smut. And I know I'll probably have to write it for something I have planned for a false start, not really sure how that's going to go.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I don't...but I do write the jily version of other pieces of media. Obviously SWA is much ado about nothing, and then I'm working on a Love, Rosie version of Jily for the Jilytober rom-com event right now.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have not, but this would be the highest form of flattery if someone ever asked to translate.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Never, but I'm definitely open to it!
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
I mean... it's jily, it's gotta be jily.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I mean probably champagne problems. I think the ending I intended works if it's a continuation with the rest of the folklorevermore songs I had planned, but it's quite ambitious and I've lost the steam for the other stories. I'd like to wrap up champagne problems as best I can, but I don't think it'll be the ending anyone wants to read.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue, 100%. There's a reason SWA is all texts. I also think my Sirius Black is quite good and also weirdly very consistent across all my fics no matter the world he's living in.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Finishing things...
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
If it was Italian or French I'd take a pass at it since I can speak both, but anything else I'd worry I was majorly mucking it up.
19. First Fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter (specifically scorose)
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
I mean, it's some with arrows, some with traps. It's probably my most favorite piece of anything I've ever written. It's also the first fic that wasn't a one shot that I finished. There's a reason I keep coming back to the world with a false start and with a big cake, happy birthday.
This was so fun!

20 Questions (for fanfic writers)
tagged by @abcd-em, thank you beloved <3
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
26!
2. what's your total ao3 word count?
134,413
3. what fandoms do you write for?
mostly spidey and pilgrimage, but i dabble in other fandoms--mostly voltron, which i had thought i had escaped the sucking quicksand of but alas seems not to be the case
4. top five fics by kudos?
all the wonders i have seen (i will see a second time)
leave the rest to the gods
Unconscionable
when darkness comes upon you
sew your fortunes on a string
5. do you respond to comments?
i try to! transparently, i sometimes get overwhelmed and while i love receiving comments and re-read every single one a million times, i do sometimes have a hard time actually responding. i cherish every single one but also my brain was cursed by the gods.
6. what is the fic your wrote with the angstiest ending?
probably my pilgrimage fic, everything's growing in our garden. it's very rare that i write for vibes but phoebe bridgers' Punisher had me in a chokehold and that is definitely reflected in that fic, short as it is. it's my most "closure denied" ending, that i've posted anyway, and i think that ups the angst factor.
7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
pilgrimage fandom gets the top spot here too, with love sent to me. it's probably the most straightforward romance/get-together fic i've written, and AU to boot, which are both anomalies for me. but i have a great deal of affection for that fic, and i love the tenderness of it.
8. do you get hate on fics?
the closest i get in spidey is generally people being demanding about updates, which i usually just delete. there is one particular troll in pilgrimage who crops up every once in awhile to leave "hate" comments on various peoples' fics, and i've been hit with that a couple times, but that's just a pathetic person wanting attention so it doesn't really count.
other than that, i really have the best commentariat anyone could ask for.
9. do you write smut?
yes! i firmly believe erotica is an important tool for examining characters and their relationships
10. craziest crossover:
i don't write crossovers exactly, so i'll cop out and point to the spidey/twilight fusion au since it is crossover-adjacent
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
not to my knowledge! and hopefully i never will
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
again not to my knowledge! there are few things i would find more flattering
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
alas, no. i love the prospect of it, and have gotten to the outlining/ideating stage with a few people in the past, but again i'll be fully transparent in that i'm not the most reliable person to attempt that kind of project with. maybe someday, and i'm definitely open to it!
but also: it's me, hi! i'm the problem, it's me.
14. all time favorite ship?
i'm a libra with adhd, asking me to choose a favourite is a hate crime.
from the lens of fannish engagement or creation, which to me is different but not unrelated to loving/shipping a couple as it is represented/written in the text, it's probably any combination of Ned/MJ/Peter, either platonic or romantic. i love an OT3, i love frenship, i LOVE where NWH left us and the possibilities we can explore with their relationships to one another.
15. what's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
if i truly doubt a wip will get finished, i don't post it. everything i've posted is something i fully intend to finish, i just can never say when that might happen. i can't predict the future obviously, so maybe that'll change, but i re-read my posted works relatively frequently and have a genuine desire to see them all complete at some point. even the ones that i reread and can see how my writing has since improved, or think i could have executed better, i still have love for and interest in. if i didn't, i'd delete.
16 & 17. what are your writing strengths and weaknesses?
combining these two because my writing strength is a reflection of my writing weakness: i'm very good at elaborating on ideas, not so much on coming up with them whole cloth. what i mean by that is i'm most comfortable, as a writer, coming up with creative and even novel divergences from canon, and making the corresponding changes in characters and plot that would result from those divergences. i'm good at the "what if" of fic.
the converse is that i'm not great at speculation, of figuring out "what happens next". so much of my post-NWH stuff, for example, is about exploring potential emotional and relationship-based realities, but doesn't have "plot" in the sense of being developments of the story of Peter Parker as i imagine it might happen in the MCU. even fics like we said our dreams will carry us, which i bill as a kind of post-beyond the spiderverse speculation fic, doesn't actually deal with the nitty-gritty of what i think might happen in the next movie. how things actually happen in this imagined version of beyond the spiderverse is secondary to the emotional fallout of those events, and that's what i'm writing about.
both these flow from my primary analytical strength/weakness: i am great at interpretive analysis, and fucking terrible at predictive analysis.
18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?
it is. incredibly difficult to get right. i studied languages and translation in university, and i still hesitate to write dialogue in other languages into my fics. it's not just a matter of getting the language itself right. that in and of itself is difficult, but anecdotally speaking i find that most native speakers of a language who read fic are incredibly kind and polite when making corrections to the language.
what takes me out of a fic is the manner in which other languages are integrated, and how very poorly that is usually done. "oh sorry it's hard to switch back" has become a meme, but a lot of the use of languages other than English, when written by non-native speakers of the languages in question, read as just that clunky and incredibly disconnected from how polyglots actually speak and switch between languages.
having said all that, language is an INCREDIBLY important part of culture, which makes it an equally important part of the characters who speak--or whose families speak--other languages. as someone in spider-man fandom, Miles' Puerto Rican heritage and both his and Rio's relationships to that heritage and the spanish language are important elements of his character. when i write Miles, and especially Miles & Rio, it's important to me that that is incorporated. like anything, it takes research, and thoughtfulness, and humility--try your best, and be ready to be corrected if you get it wrong.
19. first fandom you wrote in?
harry potter (derogatory), back when i was a wee skelly
20. favorite fic you've written?
i once again point to the libra with adhd of it all, and then direct you to my favourites series on ao3
