I do understand that curly couldn't have truly done anything legally in the situation, however, it's important to note that he IS still the captain, and jimmy's friend. The bare minimum he could have done is hold jimmy accountable, but instead he thought that the situation would handle itself. Like simple drama i guess? In some way i do think he thought the matter could have been handled differently. In what ways? That's for curly to decide. After all, he WAS the captain and HAS been for a few years at least, and is clearly trusted by the company (enough for the company to hire jimmy). Even if he never dealt with this specific situation, his years of leadership experience should help him make a better decision than "it'll sort itself out!" Also, Shipping Anya X Curly (jimmy's f*cking enabler) only undermines the actual point of the story. You're pushing aside curly's involvement & responsiblity with what happened to anya and essentially turning it into "a cute ship dynamic!! X3" I can see curly and anya being friends beforehand, but not close friends. If they were close, Curly surely would have done more about the situation. And the same goes for if they were dating, or "intimate". Who in the right mind would brush off their girlfriends assault????

Reducing Curly's responsiblity when it comes to Anya's assault by shipping them is only further pushing the idea that "only the assaulter is to blame (no fucking shit sherlock??)" and further taking the responsiblity & blame away from the enablers of assualt. (Friends of assualters who don't say anything, people in power who don't take the assaulter accountable, and bystanders who don't do anything to help the assaulted.)

God knows that fandoms don't give a shit about the real character's canon feelings, Or canon in general... but I know damn well Anya wouldn't be comfortable with being in a relationship with her assaulters enabler, even after what happened, and even if Curly "improve" himself in the future. They could only work as a pair if the assault never happened. And to wrap this shit storm up; Anya x Curly as a ship is only further pushing toxic rape culture. It undermines Curly's involvement and responsiblity for Anya's assault, and further pushes the fandom into missing the entire point of the game. The game isn't "rape is bad" The game is "rape culture is bad." "enabling rape is bad, Enabling Sexual harassment is bad, Seeing something and doing nothing-" And hear me out "-is bad."
