I like this speedpaint a lot. You can see how I improve and change things throughout the piece. I wish you could see just how much I use that undo button though - that button is my savior.

The starting sketch DOES belong to me. I want to make that abundantly clear (I use a lot of outside references sometimes). If I use an outside reference and it is in the final product (as in I use other art as reference), I will give credit if I can. The reaper picture next to it is not mine and belongs to the Subnautica devs.

Process (kinda):

1) Using a sketch makes this SO MUCH EASIER. It's a pain in the ass but jfc it's faster than trying to digitally sketch with your finger

3) I swear I know how to use the paint bucket tool yall, that would've made shit so much easier, but there were gaps and i couldn't figure out where they were so my background kept turning fucking blue

4) SO PROUD OF THE BLUE TO RED FADE MARKINGS ON THE ARMS. I USED THE ERASER TOOL FOR THAT.

5) Realized the blue was too bright and i need to tone it down - tried to keep it from looking like the blue water was making him (the character) blue

7) i wasn't trying to shade but i kinda did with the way i outlined some of his torso

I plan on working on Viktor next - might do chris first tho. I'm not sure yet. I still have other things to draw (and write, for that matter).

I'm currently working on getting a lot of my lore straightened out. I'm also trying to make character sheets for me to reference and use to write headcanon drabbles n whatnot. The world-buliding is genuinely crazy -

I mean, I made three OCs just so I could build up Chris' experience in the mafia, and that's not including Jubi. There's about 20 characters I have to write things for, and that's not taking the missing children (which is ALSO about 20) into consideration. I also have other AUs which really messes with the timeline.

All in all, I've been slowly working on more stuff to post in my oneshot book. Since I've thought about him the most, Scott's almost done. I believe Viktor will be done soon too.

Background. What color are the walls? Where is the furniture? I have no fucking clue unless its relevant to the story. That table only existed when I needed the character to lean against it. It wasn't raining until that helped set the mood. Some people write exquisite scene setting and I am envious but writing it bores me to tears.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

One of my IRL besties can read a bunch of ancient languages and WILL side eye improper grammatical structure in fiction so I picture them giving me that look unless I do the really proper research (or ask them directly).

Hello Tumblr city I have nightly doodles

This time it was just finishing up old doodles since I only gave myself 2 hours, and uh. I also had a Garfield x Tom sketch but I decided not to finish that one also if you want to hear about my DSAF au that goes with the image click the read more below

Anyway this au is pretty simple but I highly enjoy it so I'm going to rant about it past my bedtime - essentially, I looked at how the good ending is a pretty sad ending, and while it's great when the canon/best endings in games aren't the best outcome, I wanted to fix it /j. Specifically I wanted a good ending for Davenport, fuck the children fuck everything else let's take the morals of the Dave endings in the games and fucking run with them.

So i uh haven't replayed the game in a long while forgive me for mistaking a few details but it follows the ending where you salvage davetrap, and Jack doesn't go past the second layer of the flip side and never meets Dee, but instead of Henry possessing Jack or whatever the fuck happened there, Jack starts to work on a solution. I should mention this is a world where Jack never gets a new phone guy but listens to all of Henry's tapes - but Jack gathers the fact that daveyrap is unhappy because hes not a complete soul, and devises a plan. That plan is just to work with both Dave's, making sure davetrap doesn't cause his business to go under due to child murder but he can't completely stop him and working with flipside Dave to both figure out how to make a robot vessel that looks like Dave and could reasonably pass as looking like a human since it wouldn't need anything for programming or ai or movement that possession would be capable of, and to convince flipside Dave to try and be a complete soul again.

Because from what I've gathered, the whole soul thing means thag when the "child" or in Dave's case the part that doesn't want to deal with murder part of the soul goes away to the flip side, the soul is torn apart since there's still something with a mind in the animatronics, it's just left without the reason part of itself. If we incorporate remnant lore which I'm not going to go very far in it further exemplifies the point that Dave repossessing himself over and over tore his soul apart while normal dead kids just leave the remnant behind but whatever whatever Jack decides that if the two halves of the soul exist in one body again they can merge back together and become one soul capable of the full range of emotions, including happiness.

Also my jacks a bit fucked up in the head because this jack went to Vegas twice and killed the real Fredbear so he's on a slippery slope of almost becoming a Henry Miller pulling this shit and asking Dave to continue repossessing himself, but instead risking losing his soul entirely by asking him to possess something that doesn't have any connection to his dead body. And it works when the "it looks exactly like Dave but he can't go in the rain and doesn't smell like a rotting corpse anymore and also doesnt have nearly as many scars" robot vessel is built and the two try possessing the body. And then Dave helps Jack make a robot body for himself and is built in like 1/3rd of the time since Dave knows how animatronics work and not smelling is a pretty nice feature, except Jack doesn't actually *have* a soul so for all intents and purposes I have no clue how to fix that so the jack body is just sitting in the closet of jacks house useless but it's there.

And like then there's actual lore but I need to go to sleep since I have school tomorrow but Dave and Jack decide to keep running Freddy fazbenders considering Jack doesn't have a problem with murder, and the two soul halves in davetrap argue enough that the murder keeps to enough where Freddy fazbenders just seems like a hotspot rather than it actually needing to be a place in need of getting shut down for an investigation. That and Jack blackmailed the phone guy I forgot his name into helping them cover shit up in exchange for getting a hell of alot of freedom [for a phone guy it's a lot of freedom at least, Fredbears isn't a stranger to murder coverups even if it goes against his morals.] Also the nice part of Dave is only really staying with davetrap because he cares so much about jack because I do support Davesport but I try to keep it at a level of implication so it can be passed off as platonic if someone wants it to be

And that obviously had me hooked since I’m also a lil hyper fixed on hazbin myself but not fully…yet.

So I decided to come back with this one simple ask:

What kind of demon is Abyss and power or abilities do they posses? Also also what are their relations with the hazbin crew, like what are their usual interactions with one another?

Now one may say that one is simply curious….which is half true. One could say that I could be getting more info to cook up something that one might enjoy.

Unfortunately, your original ask never went through, but I'm very glad you doubled down on it. It's one of the reasons why I try to make posts encouraging asks sometimes, in case someone either forgot or realizes that it probably might not have gone through

Now, onto the ask. Lemme just start with: AAAAAAAAAHHHH! I fucking love Hazbin so much! I've loved it since the pilot, it's just one of those things I've silently enjoyed for years, I couldn't help but make an OC! Also, sorry for the rambling in advance, this is going to be long. Like, LONG long, so buckle up buddy bois. Also, also, very brief mentions of suicide, rapists, and murderers, but it’s a Hazbin post, sooooo

Of course, the initial was a more feline demon, as you can see, but then I was talking with an old RP buddy that suggested deer since I wasn't quite sure about their original design. Deer had been on my radar, but I tried the cat first. I love both, but the deer based one is definitely the one I prefer. I actually based the coloration and bioluminescence on this reply from @roseytoesy that I forgot to add in my original post of Abyss (Sorry Rosey!)

Abyss has two primary ‘abilities’. Abilities in quotations because one is passive: they have a venomous bite and venomous spines. They're laced with a venom so potent that they easily killed their first demon on accident when they were attacked and their assailant stabbed themself with a spine. Since joining Hell, they've also found out that their venom can be a very potent drug if processed/diluted a certain way, so their main source of income is selling their venom concentrate. Their spines, however, will lose both potency and bioluminescence within three days. They'll use these shed spines to hang stuff up in their room sometimes though

Their second ability is the only reason they weren't exterminated during the angels coming down, and it's the fact that they can shrink. It's mostly involuntary and just sort of a panic button to slip away. They've gotten better at controlling it so that they're not just shrinking everytime they get spooked, but it still happens occasionally. They’ll also use it to shrink slightly to help shrug off people touching them. I’m not sure whether or not to add more abilities, but there's the two for now

As for day to day interactions, I also have to think about how they'd be introduced and general personality

Of course, Abyss is another self-insert, so mostly what my other characters do, they do as well. They’ve got a rather dry sense of humor and sarcasm, though they’re not very good at reading other people’s sarcasm and will tend to take things at face value. They’re a pretty recent fall compared to the others, less than five years in Hell, so they’re more skittish and anxious than cold-hearted or confident in their abilities. They are, however, one to make fast friends given the opportunity and compatibility. They love games, but find Charlie's overly childish games a bit nauseating

They're very… skittish/antsy/defensive when first being introduced to new situations and hate leaving whatever small comfort zone they can make in Hell. So I more or less picture them sneaking around to scout out the place and the inhabitants before they decide whether or not they want to actually be a part of the whole operation. I think they'd last maybe two days before being outed by Alastor

I'm imagining since Alastor just doesn't show up in some episodes that it's not uncommon for him to be missing from the hotel occasionally during the day. But, when he comes downstairs the next day Charlie is like, “Now that everyone's here!” and Alastor just goes “I think you're missing someone”, just YOINKING them from nowhere and plopping them in front of everyone. He probably knew they were in the hotel the entire time but thought it’d be funny to give them a false sense of security before just procuring them from wherever they were hiding

Aside from the obvious surprise at the sudden deer demon, initial impressions would range from skepticism with maybe even the thought of them being a new attempt for the Vees to get information about the hotel. But, thanks to Charlie wanting to see the best in everyone and them barely knowing about the Vees (Only Vox because of the TVs everywhere), everyone would cool off mostly pretty quickly. And, here’s what I think everyone’s relationship would be with them in no particular order

Charlie, of course, would love that there was another demon interested in the hotel, even if she’s a bit appalled and stumped at what she’s working with when she finds out that they committed suicide and mostly didn’t do much wrong in their life (I'm going with the thing I grew up with where Catholic people would tell me that if someone committed suicide they'd instantly go to Hell). Most of their sins would occur after reaching Hell, such as drug use and killing (even if most times is in self-defense). Abyss would have an amicable relationship with Charlie, being suspicious of the good-nature at first. But, once they’re comfortable with Charlie, they have no problems just hanging out and shooting the shit with her. Even though they will find her optimism sometimes a bit overbearing, they’d try to be polite about it (in their own way)

Vaggie would be suspicious of them at first like with Sir Pentious, but would overall not really mind them. Probably wouldn’t like their attitude a bit because if she says “I’ve got my eye on you” or something, they’ll almost definitely reply back with “Well, you’ve only got the one”. I think they would eventually get along with each other. Maybe not super buddy-buddy, but friendly enough. Abyss definitely thinks Vaggie is a bit too suffocating with Charlie sometimes, but it’s between the two girls not them, so as long as Charlie doesn’t mind

Angel Dust is one where I’m not quite sure where their relationship would stand, either at first or over time. He’d probably make a raunchy joke or something to test the waters to see if he can piss them off to get a reaction. I can’t imagine him trying to make a pass at them because they sound more feminine, but if he did they’d probably be caught off guard and either reply bluntly in confusion or give a playful comeback thinking it was a bit. I can imagine them being drinking buddies with both of them at the bar. I feel like he’s the type to maybe find random ramblings amusing? Which is good if he’s drinking with them

Husk is another one I’m not entirely sure about. I feel like it’s a very hit or miss with him. Currently my buddies and I have said that he's the most like one of my friends, so I feel like Abyss and him would get along fairly well. Even if they don't particularly like each other the most, it'd probably be pretty amicable. Also, Abyss would definitely try to be nice because they're still new-ish and also can't imagine that being a bartender in Hell is better than in the human world. Fucker is used affectionately

Nifty would probably be a bit curious and vice versa, but I think both of them would mind their own business overall. I think she’d be a bit appalled by the disarray in Abyss’s room if she ever goes in because they’re a cluttered mess. Not dirty necessarily, but very unorganized and everything is everywhere. Both would definitely cause chaos while drunk

Sir Pentious is one where he definitely wouldn't trust them at first, but he's also a bit of a goofball. Aside from probably passing out if he tried to squeeze them because of their spines, Abyss likes his inability to take certain jokes (like in the Pilot when Angel calls him “daddy” and he confusedly goes “Son?”), and will help explain things when they can. I feel like he doesn't particularly like them until they show an interest in his gadgets or egg bois. Do they understand what he's talking about? Absolutely not, they just want to hold a gun

Now, for who you're probably waiting for, Alastor! He’s a bit more complicated. Not because he’s hit or miss with Abyss, I think he wouldn’t actually dislike them. Hell, he might even like them. More because he’s still a mystery in general and more… conflicting? I know that I already drew a picture of him taunting Abyss to make them shrink, but I can’t help but think of this page from the Hazbin Hotel comic that came out on the official site years ago

From what we see in the whole comic, he only threatens the butcher when the butcher reaches for his cleaver to potentially strike at Alastor. Even then, when the butcher backs down and starts preparing his meat, Alastor doesn’t go full sicko mode. He’s perfectly chipper and back to being pleasant. It’s only when the butcher just grabs the sheep demon that he goes ballistic and ‘kills’ him. I don’t know if by ‘fairer means’ he just means weaker people/demons or just feminine people/demons (He came from the 1930s, he probably goes off appearance and voice rather than asking people pronouns)

Now, I’m not sure how canon the prequel comic is in general since it’s been years since it’s illustration, but we also see similar instances in the show. Maybe not exactly coming to the aid of someone off beat, but Alastor never really starts shit. He’s just fully prepared to finish it. He didn’t come after Vox, Vox started dissing him and then he retaliated effectively. He wasn’t really bothered by Sir Pentious, even when he blew up a wall, until he either mentioned the Vees or presumably just kept pestering Alastor to fight, where he defeated him soundly. Even with Lucifer, I think the reason he was so pissy on sight is that he was blatantly ignored at first and then immediately presumed to be the bellhop before Lucifer proceeded to insult his work on the decor and bash on the hotel before singing about obviously needing the ‘Big Boss of Hell’s help

Anyways, back to interpersonal relations between Abyss and Alastor.

He’d probably do the classic “I’m sure you’ve heard of me from my radio show” thing, to which Abyss would reply “I haven’t, sorry”. since they weren’t around before he left for seven years. Now, the thing that I think would make this a favorable interaction for Abyss is that they apologized. Regardless of whether it was a quick sorry or a genuinely sheepish look since Alastor always seems to have a massive point of pride on his radio show, they still did it. Angel Dust kind of just got told who he was by Vaggie in the pilot, but Lucifer downright disrespected this man by calling him a has-been because he hasn’t heard of the Radio Demon, even though the same King of Hell doesn’t even have a television either

I feel like Abyss could remain in Alastor’s… well, probably not favor, but good graces is the best phrase I can think of, as long as they are generally chill and polite enough. He’s surrounded by delinquents, murderers, rapists, and so on. I think a coping semi-depressed deer who curses like a sailor but generally doesn’t cause trouble is alright in his book. I think though that, like Lilia from Twisted Wonderland, he does like taunting and spooking them to get amusing reactions from them

I do love the idea of Alastor as a pred, but as of right now I can’t think of how it would escalate to that kind of situation realistically unless they REALLY pissed him off or something. Maybe I’ll think of something after the finale tonight, lmaoooo

It is. It was the reason Ren came to Ryuji’s house. He climbed up the carved-in ladder on the side of the cabinet, perched on an upturned coffee mug and made light conversation. Before they knew it, it was dinnertime, and Ryuji agreed he could hide in his pocket to avoid the storm.

So, I have made one of these before. However, it is old and I am unsatisfied with it. So I am rewriting it by myself without an annoying tiny pink ghost nagging me and talking over me.

With that said, let's try this again.

Introduction section - Get to know Spirit and her world

Hello, Tumblr. My name is Spirit Auraveil. I am a second year Ramshackle student at Night Raven College as of writing this. I don't really know what else I can say about myself. But I am a gorgon with albinism and I am very normal about the color red, as you can see from the text color I set it to. I go by she/her and I'm omni and poly.

I share a dorm with a couple other idiots. Apparently a cat possum thing is considered a student for whatever reason? But we have a Housewarden named Comet. She was the first one to be put in this dorm (along with the possum) and she nearly broke her back trying to renovate it from looking like a total dump. Ramshackle would not be the dorm it is today without her. And then there's people like Alice, Jude, Heaven, that one guy that Floyd and Jade hate for whatever reason, and whatever the fuck Andro has got going on.

We're a smaller population of students in comparison to the other 7 dorms. It's not that bad when you don't have a ghost breathing down your neck at 3AM while you're trying to make kraft Macaroni and Cheese. But we're who makes Ramshackle a home.

Except for Andro. He kinda just locks himself in his room all day. To a point where he's more of a cryptid than the actual cryptids that live here.

Anyway, what else do I put down? Oh, right. The rules. Cue the next section.

I use photoshop! (If you dont have it, just look up "photoshop download" here on tumblr. There are a few links around that work!)

As for tips (which I think are beginner friendly, I've been using photoshop since I was like 12 but I can try and help if there's something you don't fully get!)

Make a base you can use for multiple moodboards. Grab a moodboard (you can use one of mine), paste it into photoshop, create a rectangle the size of one of the tiles and then duplicate it, each rectangle as its own layer. Number them. Make multiple of these with different numbered tiles, size, etc so you don't waste too much time on laying out the board. Save as a .PSD. Then when you go and make the moodboard paste the pictures and make that picture a mask for the rectangle you want it to go on. Save as and then you can save both a png version and psd version of the final product while still having your base and be able to edit your actual moodboard.

Ex.

Pick one or two colors and if you can find pictures that fit that color scheme. If not tweak the ones that don't individually. For me lowering the vibrance and playing slightly with the hues tends to work out. If you aren't sure about this a good bet is new layer > bucket with your main color/gradient with your 2 colors > fill > play with opacity and blending modes

I tend to avoid pictures that have text or faces or repeating elements right next to each other, I find it distracting. Play around with the positions to see where you think it flows better.

Play with the adjustments, layer them, play with opacity and modes. Even if you don't know much of what you're doing, just fake it until it looks good!

Sometimes you're going to really want to use a picture, spent a fuck tone of time trying to fix the background, and the coloring.... only to find a better one. I spend about 30 minutes trying to figure out how to delete Josh from a picture of Alycia in Saint X for my last moodboard, i blurred, deleted the background and went to grab another still where he wasn't showing merging them together... and then just used another still 😅

Start with 2x2. It's simple and just 4 pictures work great for you to get a sense of the composition. The massive 2x8 or 2x10 moodboards look sooo good but oh you will want to pull your hair out by picture 4 😅

Now, I can't say these are ground breaking tips but I do hope they help you get started! I only really started making moodboards in 2016 and I would like to point out my first ones looked like this:

Hell for the most part I totally agree with the youtuber on pretty much every point she makes. Being black in fandom has to suck complete and total cock and balls because not only are they dealing with harassment for simply being black in fandom but doubly so for many of them in the reylo fandom where they're often told they're racist for enjoying it.

That shit has to be quite wearing on the nerves. I'm not black and in fandom but I am female in fandom and if the amount of harassment I get, which is considerable, is double the amount a black person gets then they have every right to be absolutely fucking furious.

She is obviously upset about the line of 'Finnreys really seem to have it out for reylos' but I don't recall in the article where the author mentions that finnreys are overwhelmingly black, that's just a conclusion the youtuber jumped to all on her own.

The author of the article ain't wrong about the finnreys hating reylos tho.

For context, this was a screengrab of the 'anti-finnrey' tag on tumblr which you would think would be full of reylos who hate finnrey but instead is ironically full of finnreys calling reylos racist and the only reylos who showed up were me, commenting on how odd it is that so many anti reylos seem to be finnreys and that's kinda weird and one other reylo who adds the tag for blocking because they get harassed by so many finnreys.

I get it, some finnreys are upset that reylo became canon in Star Wars, but harassing members of the reylo fandom isn't going to fix the problem they're having.

The reylos aren't racist for noticing and enjoying a ship that was telegraphed very early on in the movies.

We as members of any fandom seeing this level of vitriol so often need to stand up and tell these people they're not fucking welcome and they need to fucking leave. Here's a little tumblr coding basics 101;

if I made the tag

That entire tag will now show up in the zuko tag, the godzilla tag, the shit tag, the train tag, so on and so on.

Because that's how this website works.

Tumblr considers spaces in a tag kinda like a new instance of a tag. A comma in the code acts like a ‘stop’. When you type out a full sentence with spaces it considers those spaces ‘tag breaks’.

It'll do the small work for you and ignore the instances of 'The' or 'In' and 'A' but everything else that could potentially be a keyword gets thrown into the site-wide tagging system.

When someone arranges a tag as one word (either by actually making it one word or using a hyphen) Tumblr will look at it and go 'Ah! This is one word!' and sorts it accordingly.

To Tumblr 'anti' is an active(awful) tag so when you tag something 'anti reylo' it will sort it into the anti tag and reylo tag accordingly.

Meaning the regular joes who are just going about their normal business in their fandom space and haven’t preemptively blocked the anti tag or you personally will now see you being an asshole to us in living color.

Over the fact 'you think' the zutara ship is more morally upstanding because it has less ‘problematic’ issues over a nearly identical canon ship, reylo, which is Ben Solo and Rey from Star Wars, and the also non-canon Harry Potter ship, dramione.

Demonization of the Enemies to Lovers Trope

I find it very disingenuous when Zutara antis compare or lump Zutara with problematic ships like Reylo and Dramione. Anyone who makes a claim like this should have not any opinions about ATLA respected. Because they obviously did not watch the show.

There are major differences that set Zutara apart from Reylo and Dramione.

Zutara vs Dramione - Friendship

Zuko and Katara reconciled and became very close friends in season 3. Draco and Hermione disliked each other in canon and the best of their relationship was civility. Dramione could have served the same narrative function as Zutara by representing union after war but Dramione lacked the canon building blocks that Zutara had.

Zutara vs Reylo - Redemption

Zuko has a powerful redemption arc. But even when Zuko was an antagonist, he was never truly evil. And Zuko's actions towards Katara (eg tying her to a tree) were not completely monstrous. Zuko and Katara never crossed any boundaries while enemies. When Katara starts showing compassion to Zuko, it is in season 2 when Zuko is no longer an active threat (eg. offering to heal Iroh and their emotional moment in the catacombs). Compare this to Reylo where there are all these romantic undertones while Reylo and Kylo are still enemies. Kylo also has a worse record than Zuko: murdering his dad, oppressing countless people, killing civilians, and maiming people. And Rey for some reason, before Kylo does anything to deserve it, begins to feel sorry for him. Unlike Zuko, we don't see Kylo truly atone for what he did to Rey. Not to mention the abusive elements in their relationship such as Kylo calling Rey worthless.

The point is that people need to stop demonizing enemies to lovers ships. And stop lumping healthy ships like Zutara with more toxic ships like Dramione and Reylo. It's not a fair comparison.

Part 2

Echo spends the next few weeks visiting you at your place, much to the distaste and distrust of his brothers. They comm him constantly and make sure you aren’t doing something to him. 

If only they knew the things you do to him. 

The morning light shines through your living room curtains as you realize you and Echo fell asleep on the sofa last night after your… activities. He’s got his head resting on his flesh arm with his scomp arm protectively holding you between him and the couch as your head rests on his chest and your legs are entangled with his mechanical ones. You’ve gotten used to his mechanical limbs and find comfort in them at this point. Before you can wake him up, you hear a loud, almost angry, knock on your door. 

Echo stirs slightly and you quietly slink over him onto the floor, throwing on his long sleeve black shirt and pad over to the door. When you open it, Hunter and Tech barge in, quickly looking around.

“Where is he?” Hunter demands.

“Excuse me?” You ask him, crossing your arms, realizing you’re still not wearing pants, nor underwear. 

Hunter notices it too, immediately, and tries to look elsewhere. Echo finally wakes up, sitting up straight, looking drowsy. 

“Hunter? Tech? What are you guys doing here?” He rubs his eyes, standing up.

Unfortunately, at the same time that he stands up, he realizes he’s also not wearing pants. Flustered and angry, he pulls the blanket up around his waist.

“You did not come back this morning.” Tech informs him.

“We assumed the worst.” Hunter tells him, almost apologetically?

“That’s because you can’t stop thinking the worst of me.” You fire back at him.

“I wonder why.” Tech looks down at his holopad. 

“Well, now you know I’m fine.” Echo opens the door for them. “I’ll be down in a few.” 

Hunter and Tech give you one last glance before walking out the door to wait for Echo. He closes the door behind them and then looks at you, apologetically. It doesn’t matter though. They’re never going to like you or trust you. 

“I’m sorry about them.” He murmurs, coming to you, wrapping you in his arms.

“Echo… they look at me and see only one thing.” You pull yourself out of his arms and to your bedroom so you can get ready for the day.

It’s true. They’ll never stop seeing you as a Sith… a threat. You understand why, of course. You’ve done some pretty questionable things in the name of the Sith. But that’s not you anymore. Hell, you’ve never even killed anyone. Except Wat Tambor. But that doesn’t count. He deserved it. Sure, it was revenge… but after what he did to Echo… That rolling slug fuck deserved. Also, there was the assassination attempt of Palpatine but that definitely doesn’t count, seeing as how that asshole turned out to be the worst Sith of them all.

“I’ve been trying to get them to come around.” Echo follows you to the bedroom. “You guys got off on the wrong foot that day at Cid’s…” 

“They shot at me first.” You peel off Echo’s shirt and stand there naked, looking for something to wear in your closet.

He chuckles, leaning in the doorway. “I know they did.”

You look at Echo as he eyes your naked form. Maker, he’s so pretty… 

He drops the blanket, letting it pool around his feet, revealing his hardened length twitching with want for you. You swallow. 

“No. You’re not going to distract me with… that.” You point at his member, standing at attention for you now.

He walks to you, towering over you, smiling down at you, still sleepy. 

“Stop it.” You try to keep your eyes trained on his so you don’t look elsewhere.

“You really want me to stop?” He smirks.

No, you really don’t and he knows it. “Your brothers are waiting for you.”

“Guess we better be quick, then.” He shrugs, taking your hand and letting you guide it to his erect length.

You smile up at him as you sink to your knees in front of your lover, feeling yourself go warm under his stare. No one had ever treated you with such kindness before… such love. You don’t think you’ll ever get used to it.

After Echo leaves, you get a much needed shower and get ready for the day since you have a few errands that you need to run. You make a quick cup of caf and some toast to go and then head out. 

On your way through the markets, you immediately recognize Wrecker and Omega as they look at all the vendors in the market. Especially since Wrecker stands about two feet above everyone walking by. Your brain is telling you to go the other way. The last thing you needed was for Hunter to see and think you set this up. But on the other hand, the shop next to it had all the cleaning supplies you needed… 

Going to move your mask down over your face, like you would normally do, you realize you left it at home… You’ve not worn it since that day at Cid’s and you don’t wear it when you and Echo go out at night. Honestly, you don’t know why you still have it. Other than maybe avoiding awkward situations like this…

You start to walk by them, trying to be inconspicuous, but Omega turns around and smiles up at you, as if she could possibly sense you-

Oh…

Of course it would turn out this way… 

You feel it coursing through her, flowing through her and around her.

Omega is force sensitive. 

It all makes sense now… Why she smiled at you, knowing you weren’t a threat that day in Cid’s. She knows you’re not a threat now. 

Do they know what she is? 

“Hi.” She grins up at you.

Wrecker looks at you and then pulls Omega closer to him.

“H-hello…” You murmur, trying to at least look a little friendlier.

“We haven’t been introduced. I’m Omega.” She holds her hand out to you. 

You look up at Wrecker who, like you said, towers at least two feet over you, for permission before touching the kid. The last thing you needed was to set off this 260 pound giant. 

He looks down at Omega and then his look softens as he nods to you. You reach out and shake her hand.

“This is Wrecker.” She nods behind her. “I’m glad to finally meet you. Hunter wouldn’t let me.” 

“I’m glad to meet you also.” You smile softly at the kid, understanding why Echo is so protective of her.

When she lets go of your hand, you nod to Wrecker and start to walk away, but then stop to look at them again. Omega tilts her head, curiously.

“I wanted to meet you, also… but Hunter… he’s right to keep you away from me. I’m dangerous.” You tell her. 

It’s the truth. You don’t know if there’s still people after you or not, even after two years of being inactive. You think that maybe Hunter realizes that. 

“Doesn’t matter. I know you won’t hurt Echo and you won’t hurt us.” She nods.

She’s obviously the wisest one out of all of them. You look up at Wrecker, who’s sort of smiling at you. You give Omega a quick smile and head to the store that you needed to get to.

“We’ll see each other soon.” She calls out to you. 

It’s definitely a promise. 

“Where is Master Dooku?” Ventress asks you.

You shrug from the window seat, looking out at the Serenno mountains as you eat your breakfast with your legs pulled up underneath you. The sun was starting to shine slightly, which didn’t happen often here, so you wanted to soak up as much of it as you could. 

“You do realize we are meant to leave in less than an hour, right?” She crosses her arms, staring at you.

You shrug again. “Won’t take me long to finish this.”

You could practically feel her eyes roll at you. Ventress wasn’t the most patient with you. Or with anyone, for that matter.  

“Where are we going?” You look over at her.

“Kidnapping Chancellor Palpatine today.” She answers you, starting to walk away. 

“Ooh. Naboo?” You smile. 

Naboo was beautiful. Definitely in your top five favorite planets. The sun always shines there. 

“We aren’t going for fun.” She warns you.

Holding your hands up in surrender, you can’t help but grin at her. It was no secret you weren’t the most… serious Sith. But you knew you didn’t belong on the “Light Side” as the Jedi proclaimed to be. All sides have their flaws. 

You act in your own best interest a lot. Perhaps it's purely selfishness that leads you. 

“Why are we kidnapping Chancellor Palpatine?” You ask her as you walk down the long gloomy halls of Master Dooku’s home. 

“Why must you always ask so many questions?” She side-eyes you. 

You give her a toothy grin. “Because it irritates you.”

You and Ventress weren’t exactly chummy, per se. But, you got along and you worked well together. You trusted her enough. She acts big and bad, but underneath that beautiful pale skin, lies someone who’s looking to belong somewhere, just like you. 

“You are annoying. Be glad you’re not my apprentice.” She glares.

It’s a soft glare and you know she doesn’t mean it. In fact, there are days where you wish she was your master. But you know, there’s probably more that Dooku could teach you. 

Your last errand is meeting with a friend of yours that usually lets you know when there’s a good bounty for you to collect. She’d not contacted you in a couple months, which you didn’t really mind. But now… it makes you reconsider. You had something to lose now. Would Echo think less of you?

Lona hands you the tracking fob. “I didn’t think you’d want to miss this one. A Sith. Pretty dangerous.” 

You click on the Fob and your puck lights up with a holo of a beautiful pale face you’d not seen in a long while. Your stomach does a huge flop and you swallow.

Ventress…

“What’s she wanted for? And who wants her?” You ask Lona.

“You know we don’t ask those questions.” She gives you a funny look. “She’s worth 200,000 credits, though. You can’t pass that up.”

You nod, tossing the fob and puck into your bag. “See you around.” 

As you walk back to your apartment, lots of thoughts run through your mind. There’s no way she’d come quietly. But it’s 200,000 credits… that would keep you comfortable for a bit longer. On the other hand… she’s the one who warned you about Dooku’s death and told you to go somewhere safe… 

The lower levels of Coruscant were exactly as you’d expected them to be. Seedy. Sketchy. Dark. You’d been there for a year now with your own apartment and your own life started, away from the Sith. Surprisingly, it wasn’t that bad. You didn’t mind being on your own. You enjoyed your freedom. 

You suspected that Dooku still had his eyes on you somehow because your rent was suddenly all paid for the next year, which didn’t sit well with you. Were you still wanted by the Separatists? When would you be allowed to return to the surface? When could you return to Serenno? 

Walking through the streets with your hood drawn up like you normally do, you feel a presence behind you. A presence you’d not felt in a really long time. Quickly rounding a corner and hiding behind a dumpster, you wait for the person to walk by. But they don’t.

As you stand to walk away, there’s a familiar voice behind you.

“I thought I saw you down here.” Ventress pulls up her mask.

You turn around to see her and can’t help but smile. Finally, a familiar face. Maybe not a friendly one, but that’s alright.

“I heard what you did, freeing that clone.” She tells you. “Heard it pissed off a lot of people.”

You shrug. “You know I was never good at doing what I was told.”

“I’ve been keeping an eye on you.” She tells you, softly, walking closer to you.

“You have?” She was the one keeping an eye on you… Not Dooku.

She nods. “I’ve got some news, though.”“What is it?” You ask.

Has the war finally ended? Have the Separatists won? Would you finally be allowed to return to the surface? You miss the sunlight. 

“Dooku is dead.” She tells you.

It hits you like a train. Dead? How is that possible? 

“Dead at the hands of Anakin Skywalker.” She tells you.

“Oh.” You murmur. 

Skywalker… Of course… 

“Listen… the surface is a shit show right now. I think you need to get off-world and go somewhere safe.” She tells you.

Your master is dead. You’re alone. You’re stuck here. You’d never get to see the sunlight again.

Ventress says your name, snapping your thoughts back to reality. “Did you hear me?”

“What?” 

“There’s a planet called Ord Mantell. It’s safe for people like us. Deserters.” She tells you.

You nod. “Got it. Ord Mantell…” 

“Here. This will help you stay anonymous.” She hands you her mask and you look down at it as you hold it. 

Running your hand over the worn golden yellow art that decorates it, you look up at her. “Why are you helping me?” 

“Because we never belonged with them.” She tells you. “We don’t belong anywhere.”
