Flag Time!!
Tumblr media
I made an alternate nonbinary boy flag, because I've never really seen one I liked. I put a lot of work and thought into it, I really hope someone else likes this!
meanings:
black - the use of the nonbinary boy label as a more specific term, to express gender identity in the most fitting way
green - a rejection of/disconnect from gender norms and/or traditional masculinity
grey - the use of the nonbinary boy label as an umbrella term, or a less strict way to describe gender identity
purple - an embrace of/connection to masculinity or societal gender expression
+ a different version with completely desaturated black, and white instead of grey
Tumblr media
This flag is free to be used by anyone other than exclusionists, transmeds, MAPS/NOMAPS/supporters, incest/pedophilia shippers, just please credit this blog, or my main, @boyflavoured-lacroix ! Thank you!
Reblogs are appreciated!

The whole way to the airport, Lana felt like her head was going to explode. She couldn't quite process the simple fact that Cole was coming home. Or maybe it was the fact that he claimed to miss her. In all honesty, she didn't know how to feel about her long lost lover coming home. Her heart was beating abnormally fast and her hands were shaking. Her anxiety was through the fucking roof. Does he truly want to see me? She wondered, looking out the car window. And if he does, why did he completely cut me out? Her mind continued to race with "what if's" the rest of that 3 hour drive.
Meanwhile, Cole was going through a similar process as the plane started to land. His heart was racing, palms sweating, he was scared. He didn't know if Lana would even want to look at him. He couldn't even bring himself to imagine her not wanting to see him. It hurt too much. He knew what he did was wrong, but he couldn't help but hold on to that little bit of hope, those little tiny "what if's".

Lana's mother had to drag her out of the car when they reached the airport. Lana couldn't bring herself to leave the car. He was quite literally minutes away. Her nerves were shot as they pushed their way through the crowd. They stopped near his gate and started searching the crowd for that oh so familiar face. Lana was frantically searching through heads, heart stopping every time she seen a raven haired boy. About five minutes later, Lana saw him. Before her mind could even comprehend what was happening, her legs were moving, and she was running towards him. Cole's head snapped up, his eyes meeting hers. Cole dropped his luggage and ran to the girl. They met halfway, and Lana was jumping into his arms, legs wrapping around his waist. Both of their hearts swelled, finally being reunited with their other half. Lana sobbed into his shoulder, unable to contain her emotions. "Lana." Cole breathed, still trying to process that she was here, in his arms.
"Cole." She sobbed, her fingers finding their way into his hair, combing softly through it as she cried. They stayed there, just like that, for what felt like forever, until Lana finally untangled herself from him. Cole reluctantly pulled away, not quite ready to let her go yet. "I missed you so so much Lana." Cole whispered, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. Lana felt like a school girl again when the butterflies erupted in her stomach. "I missed you too." She whispered, placing a hand on his cheek. Lana looked into his green eyes, searching for any signs that he was lying, that he didn't actually miss her, but only found pure love and adoration. "Why didn't you call me?" She asked, taking a step back.
Cole took a deep breath and ran both his hands through his hair. He chuckled nervously, fear racking through his body. "Believe it or not it was to protect you." Lana scoffed and crossed her arms. "From what Cole? What could have been so bad that you had to cut me out of your life?"
"I knew you didn't like being in the spotlight, and with me becoming famous, I didn't want you to feel pressured into anything, and I didn't want anyone to attack you or-" Lana cut him off with a dry laugh. "Don't you think that's my choice?" She asked him, anger building up inside of her. Cole was taken aback by her temper. She had never gotten angry with him before. "W-What?" Lana took a step closer to him. She was seething. "Don't. You. Think. That's. My. Choice." She pronounced each word slowly, making sure he got the message. Cole sighed in defeat. She was right. She's always right.
"I'm sorry." He confessed, looking down at his shoes. When Lana didn't respond, he turned around and retrieved his luggage. He walked past Lana, sparing her one last glance, hoping she would say something, and then continued on to the rest of the Del Rey family.
Lana may have seemed tough on the outside, but on the inside, she was falling apart. She was yearning to be in his arms again, but she had to protect herself. There wasn't a way in hell she would forgive him so easily, no matter how much she wanted to. She watched as he interacted with her family, wishing that he wouldn't have left in the first place. They could have been together, but he left. She immediately felt guilty for thinking that and walked up to her family.
After a short greeting, The Del Reys led Cole to their car. As they were walking, Madison leaned over to Cole. "You're in deep shit." She whispered. Cole sighed and ran a hand through his floppy hair. "I know Mads, what should I do." Madison paused for a moment, thinking. "Talk to her." She finally said looking up at the boy who was like her older brother. "She won't even look at me." He whispered, glancing at Lana. She held her gaze straight ahead of her, never looking at him. Madison grinned before shouting "I call shot gun!" Lana groaned and tried to complain to her mother, but didn't get any response. Cole grinned at the younger Del Rey, silently mouthing "Thank You."
Madison nodded and ran to the front seat. Lana reluctantly trudged to the back seat, not looking forward to this awkward car ride. Cole quickly loaded his baggage into the trunk and rushed over to the backseat. He pulled himself into the small space, making sure to sit in the middle. He put his backpack on the seat next to him and turned to Lana. "Lana, please say something." He whispered, praying she would say something, anything. Lana's heart dropped when she heard his desperate tone of his voice. She could tell he was sorry, but she was stubborn.
Cole sighed and leaned back against his seat. "Always so stubborn. Do you remember when you almost didn't go to Six Flags because you didn't want your hair to friz up from the heat?" Lana couldn't help the small chuckle that escaped her lips. The memory was one of her favorites, Cole literally sprayed her hair with water after every ride. He was always so thoughtful. A small smile formed on the boys lips, he knew he could get her to talk to him, he's only had 13 years of experience with her. Lana finally looked up at Cole, meeting his eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" She whispered, eyes never leaving his. Cole grabbed her hand and interlaced their fingers. When she didn't pull away, he answered her question. "Because if I called you before I did, I knew I wouldn't be able to do it. I just wanted to protect you." Lana knew he was telling the truth. She felt it in her heart.
"I want to be a part of your life Cole, all of it. Fame and all." Coles eyes widened.
"You'd do that for me?"
Lana nodded and squeezed his hand. "I'd do anything to keep you in my life." Cole smiled brightly and leaned down, pressing a tender kiss on her lips. She kissed him back, tasting his minty breath, finally content. When Cole pulled away, he had one last question. "Does this mean you forgive me?"
Lana laughed lightly, patting the boys cheek. "No way in hell am I going to forgive you that easily, but I understand why you did it." She placed her head on Coles shoulder, letting her eyes close. Cole placed his head on top of hers, closing his eyes as well. They both ended up falling asleep, completely intertwined with each other, the rest of the ride to the rest of their lives.
