DENI!!! i've been a little bit out of here 😣😣 but i received the notif of your post......... the soft thought ( more like domestic details, which i love ) is painting hyune's nails. you do not know how to properly do it, because the nail polish always lands on the skin surrounding the nail, and even if you try to do a desing, like a little flower w a couple of points, it ends up all messed up. imagine a quiet afternoon, after watching some tv show, all cozy and warm, and he offers you his nails to practise a little bit. even if you mess it up again, he might actually paint yours and try to follow the same messed up pattern to go matching 🥺

“Can I do it?” You ask, eyeing his clean nails as Hyunjin reaches up to fix his face mask before doing the same with yours, making sure neither of your headbands fell too low on your foreheads.

“Hm?” He hums, smoothing the thin layer of the sheet mask on your already smooth skin, smiling once your eyes meet. “Do what?”

“Your nails.” You nod towards them, catching one of his hands and bringing it to your lips to peck the back of it, much to his displeasure as the action moves the mask around your face awkwardly. Even so, he was so close to you on the tiny couch that you could feel his heart beating wildly, betraying his true feelings.

Hyunjin tries not to smile too brightly as he nods, fondness clear as day in brown eyes even in the dim light of the living room. “Knock yourself out, baby.” He was never one to reject you, no matter how silly or out of pocket your requests were. Hyunjin would move mountains for you, after all, if that meant you’d be happy forever and keep smiling for him until the day he took his last breath.

The tv ran idly in the background, a rerun of one of your favorite shows as you got to work, gently placing both of your boyfriend’s hands in your lap. His small collection of nail polish was laid before you on the coffee table, accompanied by a file, a bag of cotton pads and nail polish remover. Just in case, you know.

Gently taking one of his hands, you subconsciously intertwine your fingers together as you look over the bottles, brainstorming. Hyunjin takes this moment of silence as an opportunity to reach over and turn on one of lamps by the couch, providing you with more light.

“What are you thinking?” His voice is low, not wanting to disturb you, softly pulling his hand away to massage your palm instead.

“Ladybug nails.”

“What?” He laughs, scooting closer.

You nod, reaching for the bottle of red nail polish. Not like you had many options to begin with, Hyunjin’s palette was limited – something you’d never thought you’d say.

“Your nails are always so dark, I was thinking of doing a cute design for a change.”

He arches a dark brow. “You could use white.”

You pause, tearing your gaze from the bottle to stare at him blankly. “Ladybugs aren’t white.”

The laugh that escapes him has your heart double in size, feeling all warm and fuzzy as he throws his head back in genuine amusement, finding you even more endearing than usual. “Alright, ladybug, do whatever you please. I’ll stop interfering.”

And he keeps his promise, quiet as a mouse as you begin painting his nails, attention stolen by the tv and the snacks you’ve prepared for your weekly movie night. Hyunjin has mastered the art of eating with a face mask on, no crumb landing anywhere near and messing it up. There was nothing he couldn’t do, it seemed.

You’re almost done with his one hand when he slowly reaches to remove your face mask, joining his on a napkin on the table. Usually, he’d also massage the remaining serum into your skin but you could tell he didn’t want to bother you from your new favorite past time. A past time you weren’t particularly skilled in, the nail polish getting everywhere around his nail and even on your clothes, staining the material.

“Uh…” Hyunjin turns to you, wondering why you were sounding so disheartened. “I think I messed up.”

Bringing his hand to eye level, Hyunjin studies your work curiously, analyzing every brush stroke and the big, blotchy black spots that were supposed to be polka dots. The colors were everywhere, on his cuticles and even further down to his knuckles. You’ve mostly stuck to the area around the nail so he couldn’t understand how a black spot managed to go that far.

“Baby, are the ladybugs trying to escape?” He smiles, holding back laughter.

You pout and he leans over to plant smooches on both of your cheeks, trying to make you feel better. “Don’t make fun of me, I tried my best.”

Hyunjin nods, grabbing the black polish from your hand. “I can see that.” Without warning, he starts applying it down his index finger in a strange pattern, causing your mouth to fall open in shock. “And it looks great, love.”

You knew he was lying to try and make you feel better, there was no way he actually thought that.

Biting down on his plush bottom lip, he eventually puts the brush away and gets a hold of your hand before pressing the back of his onto yours, squeezing lightly. You’re so confused that no words escape you, wondering if this was his way of getting back at you for messing up his nails and getting his hand all dirty.

“Done!” He beams, looking so much younger with his hair all pushed back and bare face, cozy and cuddly in his soft pajamas. “Now we match.”

Looking down, you realize the pattern he drew on himself was now on your hand too, tiny lines and spots resembling even tinier footsteps. A ladybug’s footsteps. Or tracks, actually.

Forget beating, your heart almost bursts out of your chest and latches onto him, first his cheek and then plump lips, smooching the area before intertwining with his own and running away together like two forbidden lovers. Hyunjin brought so much needed light into your life, you could barely believe he was real and not a fragment of your rich imagination.

“The ladybug that ran away from my nail has found its way home to you.” He finally laughs, eyes two crescent moons. “It’s silly, please forgive me.”

“Silly?” You blurt out, dragging him by the hand just so he can fall into your waiting arms, hugging him tightly. “It’s only silly if you don’t actually draw a cute ladybug on my hand now.” His arms sneak around your middle, face hiding in your chest as yours move over his shoulders, breathing in the scent of him.

“Only if you do my other hand.” He murmurs, placing a linger kiss right above your beating heart.

You can’t help but grin, thankful for having such a kind person by your side. “Deal!”

To simply explain my ire, if you were to take away me including the reader having Makima's red hair and yellow eyes and continue in the old 'Y/N' fashion of noninlcusive things like 'pale face' 'red blushing cheeks', no one would have mistaken this as an OC, but the seconds the signifier "brown" is given (LITERALLY 4 TIMES I COUNTED) there's an issue. People have brown skin of varying shades, so if anything, i want you guys to treat my works like you treat the old Y/N works, ignore it/imagine something else if it's that bad—that's what I did before I began writing my own things.

"He's the enforcer" ughhhh, and when did this branding ever came up in the devil's night series? I only remember this point being discussed here on your blog of your meta about damon's character and his implicit role in their friend group and family. Istg i really never saw his role being discussed and branded like this anywhere, so the only place it could happen was in the private chat's of their pendragon fb group or between PD and their editor/most trusted beta readers. Istg the pettier side of me feels like some of PD's fb group fans saw your discussion posts here with other anons and told on PD, then they got inspired by you ideas about "his role" in the family. Which in theory, i don't see much wrong from it, but truly, where did this role establishment and branding came from? And ofc in PD's fashion, they had to rebrand Damon's role to be positive and borderline inspiring 🙄

and fuck, who cares about logic right? Definitely not PD when they kept on writing A and meaning B in their stories, but kept on being pissed off when readers understood it as A. 🤡

Ohh, I wish I was with you on this but I’m actually excited about it. As someone who wants to understand these characters better, and who absolutely goes bonkers over character origin stories, this is right up my alley. I never expected any kind of Willemmy scene, so maybe I’m not as disappointed as I would be otherwise.

From what I heard, there are some willemmy scenes in this origin story though! So not all hope is lost (although I don’t know how it’s supposed to make sense, since I’ve also heard that this starts during their freshmen year and Emmy’s a year younger so… but whatever. I’m just happy for the moments!)

Coming from a writer’s perspective, it’s hard to let your favs go. Long after the other characters stop “speaking” to you, your favs come back. You still see them doing stuff. And PD is proud of the series, so of course they’re not going to bury it.

But yes, I agree that the fandom has been pretty loud about wanting some more willemmy content for some closure, and it shouldn’t be this hard to sit and think about the characters and deliver something, just to be kind to your readers and fans. I can’t say why PD is so resistant to it, but that’s for them to know.

Regarding PD, I hardly ever look into the background of an author or give them a second thought. I also have never had the desire to contact an author, or do meet and greets or anything, that’s just me. So, I’ve never had the issue of needing to detach a work from an author, but I can see the struggle.

REAL OMFG‼️‼️ bitches forget that kunikida has been partnered with dazai for two entire years, only one less year than dazai’s partnership w chuuya (before ur like noooo it was seven!!!!! that doesn’t count. chuuya and dazai met at fifteen and didn’t even get partnered that year. it was only during the events of stormbringer when mori realized the only counter to chuuyas corruption was dazai’s ability and he made them go on missions together like they did during the arahabaki incident and they became known as double black. dazai left the mafia when he was eighteen due to oda’s death)

anyway knkdz have also had to trust each other with their lives time and time again and kunikida values this trust more than anything, always relying on dazai even if dazai pisses him the fuck off. dazai says himself that the ada is home to him when talking abt it to sigma, AND WHAT IS HOME BUT A PLACE FILLED WITH HAPPINESS AND THOSE WHOM YOU LOVE DEARLY AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO PROTECT

End of Year Collage - Best of 2022

Rules: Find your fave pics of your story or your blog in general and post them up in a collage! :D it can be 1 picture or 100 whatever you want. But just reflect on your fave moments in your story or on your blog. It can be cute moments or pictures you’re just really proud of.

I did this last year and decided to make one for 2022, to celebrate simming, the one source of joy I got out of another crapfest of a year.

I did even less simming this year than I’ve ever done, so some months once again have no entries, which depresses me. I doubt 2023 will be any better, but here’s hoping! 🤞🤞

MY THOUGHTS (for each month) under the cut:

January: New Years Miniset

I did diddly squat in January, just uploaded my New Years miniset that I had made for Magnus Bane’s birthday the December before.

February #1: Lunar New Year | February #2: Black Girl Magic Collection

Still no gameplay this month, but I got a lot done as far as CC, uploading my regularly scheduled holiday sets for Lunar New Year and Black History Month. Shortest month of the frikkin year, but I’m always swamped in February.

March #1: BLEACH \(^0^)/ | March #2: Let them eat cake!

I went nuts in March, trying to rush to get as much Bleach inspired gameplay done as possible before my schoolwork and birthday plans for April all caught up with me. Didn’t get nearly as much done as I wanted, but I had fun, regardless. Ironically enough however, y’all were more interested in one silly post I made where my Sakura & Ryuu sims assassinated Marie Antoinette! XD

April: Modern Male Witch Project Part 5

My latest installment recreating Brenna-Ivy’s Modern Mages went off without a hitch. Made an EFFTON of CC for y’all on my birthday, and had a blast!

May: Didn’t do any simming in May, as I needed to recover from blitzing the last 3 months.

June #1: The Untamed cont’d | June #2: Pride Month: Asian LGBT+

I took advantage of my Summer Break from school to continue my The Untamed gameplay. Some of my favorite posts ever, right there. Plus, it was Pride Month, so I was able to double-time it with Hanguang-Jun(e) Month and an cool Asian-themed LGBT series of weekly posts from some of my fave fandom ships: Nagron, Malec, WangXian, Andynh, and Adoribull.

July: Mighty Nein

I did more of the Modern Male Project, but definitely the best gameplay of the month (and arguably my whole YEAR) came from my Critical Role inspired posts. Y’all were going bananas; I loved seeing how many D&D fans were out there! I’m definitely doing more this year, it was way too much fun.

August: TW3 Skellige

My witcher!household went a-viking in Ard Skellig, as I tested out a bunch of new CC I was uploading that month. 

September: Nada. I was in the TRENCHES at school; I got hit with one massive project after another, ISTG it was like the department wanted to see if I would effing crack under pressure. STILL HERE, WENCHES. I hate grad school.

October: The Untamed cont’d

Halloween was the perfect time to deal with Wen Ning, so I HAD to squeeze in some more Untamed gameplay for the holidays. 

November: Wei Wuxian’s Halloween/Birthday

I was late posting in time for WWX’s bday on Halloween, but was just glad I managed to make a post I’d been dying to do for a LONG while, showing Wei WuXian get reincarnated as Mo XuanYu.

December: Interview with the Vampire

Y’all. Y’all know? How effing HAPPY I am that AMC made this dang show? I love every bit of it; eff the book purists. This is how you do an adaptation RIGHT, by ELEVATING the source material and updating the content for modern audiences. BRAVO.

broke my f4st at 71 hours because I'm a pig little biatch that can't control themselves! Immediately after I consumed about 1800 c4ls the 4n4 shits came full force almost making me crap my pants which i fucking deserve! I want to cry so bad i was doing good and felt so much control but I let myself get distracted once by the thought of f00d and then kept on thinking about a specific f00d until I broke and drove to McDonald's like a fucking lunatic and ordered 2 double cheeseburgers, 2 hot n spicys, and large fry (MY USUAL B1NGE ORDER WHICH IM FUCKING CERTAIN THAT THE EMPLOYEES KNOW BEVAUSE THEY LOOK AT ME SO FICKING STRANGE WHENI ORDER SO MUCH FOOD ALL FOR ME). i then went to the market and got a huge bag of tortilla chips, salsa, and 3 hershey almond chocolate bars. I only ended up eating 1 double cheeseburger, 1 hot n spicy, all of the fries, and all of the chocolate bars. I was scarfing down the last chocolate bar when I felt a fucking anvil crash in my guts looney toons style and I had to run to the toilet because I - okay I'll stop there but You know wtf happened and it wasn't pretty. Short list of my little medical adventure yesterday bc I was too tired to write it out yesterday (dw I'm like 95% better now):

Went to immediate care at the asscrack of dawn bc my fever and swollen lymph nodes I'd developed the day before decided they wanted to go poly with a full-body rash

Met a doctor who looked a lot like captain Haddock from that CGI TinTin movie but with a little less beard

Captain Doctor said gtf to the hospital right now because you either have something bad from the antibiotics you're on for that mild post-surgical redness or something worse like sepsis. Leave rn with your dad (who had driven me) and I'll go call them.

Hospital takes a shitton of blood vials out of me (and I got further confirmation that my veins are absolute fucking stingy deep-set bastards)

fluids, Benadryil and epinephrine IV cocktail made me get dizzy and start loopy laughing on and off for about 15-20 minutes. I laughed so much at one point that I think maybe I didn't really breathe correctly for a bit bc my nails went grey for just a minute (they got better right after I noticed them and consciously breathed regularly for a minute)

Got a shot of epinephrine in the stomach. Sounds horrifying, but actually somehow wasn't

Blood tests came back and they said I didn't have sepsis, the immediate care's mono test was just weak af and I actually *did* have mono and I'm apparently allergic to bactrim so stop taking that and take this other one instead. (basically I didn't have either thing Captain Doctor was worried about, but I did still get double whammied)

IV emptied and I was doing a lot better so I was allowed to be discharged, but since I had to pee a nurse said go ahead and collect a urine sample. This proved to be really difficult because 1- I'm short as fuck and Istg this toilet was built for a damn giant, 2- I was still shaking really bad from all of the epinephrine so bracing to pee was like adhd legs times 1000, and 3- I already have dyspraxia so I was terrified I was going to drop my cup into to toilet because of that, the gown, and the other two factors.

I don't think they even ended up taking the urine sample, I just kind of left it on the counter in the room and my dad and I left.

The good news is that the prescriptions the hospital gave me are working great and I feel *way* better, just a little bit jittery from prednisone and loopy from something they gave me for the rash (which is already calmed down by like 30000%, this is just a little bonus not having to deal with it)
