Gaku had always been known for his brute strength, wild energy, and an unfiltered mouth that could make even seasoned assassins do a double take. But nothing—absolutely nothing—could have prepared him for the force of nature that was his own children. Specifically, the fact that they were complete and utter Mama’s boys and girls.

It started subtly.

Gaku would walk into the house, expecting his kids to run up and greet him after a long mission. Instead, they barely glanced at him before dashing past to cling onto their mother’s legs like little barnacles.

"Mama! I missed you!"

"Mama, I made a drawing of you today!"

"Mama, you smell nice!"

And Gaku? Standing there in the doorway, mouth slightly open, feeling a little betrayed.

"Oi, what about me?! I just got back!"

His youngest, a little girl with his wild hair and his wife’s sharp eyes, peered at him before deadpanning, "Oh. Hi, Papa." Then she turned back to her mother, launching into a detailed recount of how she defended her favorite stuffed bunny at daycare like it was an important battlefield report.

Gaku’s jaw twitched.

This couldn’t be happening.

It got worse over time.

One evening, Gaku had just won a claw machine prize—a giant, limited-edition plushie he thought his kids would love. He strutted into the house, holding it up. "Hey! Look what I got! Pretty cool, huh?"

His son blinked at him, unimpressed. "Did Mama pick it?"

"What? No! I won it myself!" Gaku crossed his arms, scowling. "Took me, like, fifteen tries!"

His daughter hummed, clearly thinking hard. "If Mama picked it, I'd like it more."

Gaku clutched his chest. "Oi, what the hell does that mean?!"

His wife only chuckled in the background, sending him a knowing smile as she continued chopping vegetables. Gaku sulked.

Bedtime wasn’t any better.

"Alright, twerps, bedtime. I'm telling a story tonight!" Gaku declared, sitting on the edge of their bed with exaggerated enthusiasm. "It's about this awesome warrior who beat a hundred enemies with his bare hands!"

His son blinked up at him. "Can Mama tell the story instead?"

Gaku twitched. "What? No! Listen, this guy was real strong—"

"But Mama tells better stories."

"Oi—"

"She does the voices better, too."

Gaku felt his soul leave his body.

Desperate, Gaku tried everything to win them over. He made their lunches (only for them to ask if Mama made it first). He tried to style his daughter's hair (she cried until Mama fixed it). He even attempted to comfort his son after a scraped knee (his son sniffled, looked at him, and said, "I want Mama").

Defeated, Gaku finally flopped onto the couch beside his wife one night, groaning. "I’m losin’ my own kids to you. What kinda betrayal is this?"

She laughed, patting his shoulder. "They love you, you know."

"Yeah? Sure doesn’t feel like it," he grumbled.

She leaned in, smiling. "They’re Mama’s kids now, but just wait. When they’re older and start getting into trouble, guess who they’ll run to for backup?"

Gaku blinked. Then, a slow, wicked grin spread across his face. "Ohhh. You’re right. They’re gonna need me to teach 'em how to fight. And cause just the right amount of chaos."

"Not too much," she warned.

"Just enough," he promised.

For now, he might be losing the battle… but the war? The war had just begun.

i have all of the nendoroids sans spamton. the undertale cast is displayed on one shelf and ralsei on another. undyne broke into toriel's house and took the pie that's why she's not on her mountain.

i have the fangamer undertale vinyl boxset! i have the first run boxart with gaster on it [picture included]. he is not in any prints you can get now. i own the fangamer deltarune chapter one and two vinyls as well.

for one of my holy grail pieces of merch, i own the iam8bit undertale vinyls! they stopped making them a long time ago. you can find them average between the 100-200+ range. but the real holy grail is the 7" vinyl. it's in the first picture and then there's a picture of the vinyl attached. it has dogsong on it. it was a preorder bonus for the original vinyl and there were NOT many made because the vinyl went up for preorder in 2015 or 16 iirc. i have only seen like four listings for the dogsong vinyl ever and most sit in the several hundred dollar range. i bought a bundle of the original soundtrack AND the dogsong vinyl for one hundred and fourty dollars. AN INSANE COP. i won. I WON!!!! i had been looking for a good listing for YEARS.

i have quite a few pins although i would like more. i have the flowey fanclub pin, the lancer bike pin. the fanmade ones i own are both mettaton + a ralsei button that i made. on this backpack i also have the mewmew keychain. they stopped selling her a while ago so i had to find her second hand. it was also EXTREMELY difficult to find a listing for her!! but i found one for 15. only two over retail. yay!

i have the cyber city desk mat. i love it very much. i have the nubert beanie that my friend bought me. thanks casper. i have the undertale collectors edition for the switch, and the undertale art book. i have an eshop card that was never active i'm not gonna lie to y'all i just swiped that thing one day. no harm done it's just a piece of cardboard. i own the game on pc, switch, and my xbox. if i owned a ps4 you best believe i'd own it there too. i plan on getting one someday and 60% of the reason is for the ps4 dynamic theme and so i can play all versions of undertale. also i have a lot of undertale stickers and tags, mostly the bonuses from fangamer and such. plus a few art cards from there. oh! and my bf made me that cup + coaster. i love it. when the cup is set down it squishes ralsei.

now for the clothes that i have! i own two sans jackets from fangamer [not pictured i forgor]. i got one in a size too big so had to get a second. i have the shirt showtime, disruption, your best nightmare [it has a little flowey on the back!], the fifth anniversary shirt [it has a bunch of quotes from the game on the back. i love it.], the deltarune hoodie, and the flowey scarf.

as for unofficial clothing, i have two hoodies from etsy. one of them is a chara hoodie, and the other one is a lancer inspired hoodie with a spade that comes down over your face! it's so cool despite the fact i can't see out of it.

i also have a few kandi bracelets that i made and a golden flower headband i made for a cosplay. and with that.. i think that may be it..! i have a few pieces of merch that i really want but that could go into a seperate post. thank you so much for asking! i could talk about this forever haha. if i forgot anything i'll mention it. i'm very forgetful.

I made the mane 6 mlp keychains I planned to do and tried thicker yarn to make bigger plushies of them!!

but so far I've only made pinkie pie (which was a commission) and fluttershy (because I thought I'd get a hundred million likes on twitter...didn't even make 200)

it's clear I used different techniques for the blush because I wasn't sure about how and I do prefer pinkie's a lot more! so I'll be changing fluttershy's blush to actual blush powder

you can also notice the difference in eye sizes because...uhh

I like fluttershy's size but pinkies embroidery better!

I also made a plushie and a keychain of derpy BUT haven't had the time to photograph it and I'm not so sure I like it as much

Hi, started thinking about reader with a bunch of plushies that we keep in our room (I imagine we still our room with our stuff in it even though we mainly stay in his room) and everyday Ronan coming into the room to find another plushie because we’re trying to just get all of them in there. He might think it’s just Amara putting them in there and we just let him believe it til we’re caught coming out of our room with a plushie and he sneakily watches us bring it into his room and when we turn around to leave he’s just watching from the door and accepts his fate of his plushie covered bed. *insert meme of guy fucking someone and than looking over to the pile of plushies watching

I also often think that because I have so many toys, posters, and figures from fandoms I sit the kids down and info dump on them to make them obsessed and then when callon moves in for the summer I’m now info dumping to him about the nsf kids stuff, so “his room” (which i imagine he keeps and when he wants to get away from school campus he just shows up to Ronans “displeasure”. I also feel like callon enjoys messing with Ronan more because he feels safer to do it so ronans happy callon feels safe and comfortable but is upset that it means he gets tormented, back to the og program) is also full of just fandom stuff

I need to take a picture of it, but I'm the same way. When I practice conducting for choir director stuff, I literally organize my plushies in an arch and put little sticky notes that read 'soprano alto tenor bass' on each one. I brought it up during rehearsal the other day, and immediately people were asking which plushie their section was. it was really cute!

anyway, I think this is really cute! I also like the idea that part of what susses him out is seeing maybe a particular character and him being like "...Amara would absolutely hate this..." She's very opinionated about which characters she likes and doesn't like, and sometimes hers and reader's tastes don't align.

The one thing I miss about working in elementary school is I'd keep some nerd stuff in my room; vocaloid posters (to be fair, we'd do a unit at the end of the year about artificial instruments and we would talk about vocaloid), Sanrio stuff, and anime posters, and seeing kids faces light up always made my day. I had a lot of students who were super into Project Sekai, and when I told them I played they asked me who my favorite was; I told them Mizuki, and one of them drew me Mizuki and Miku, it was so cute!! I think the kids would do the same; having an adult they can talk to about their nerdy interests, and hearing reader do the same I think would bring them all closer together. You would absolutely get little drawings and stickers of your favorite characters.

Callon's whole bit is he tries to look like a badass, but he's actually the dorkiest of them all. You can infodump to him, but he'll infodump right back at you. He's spent thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, on MTG cards. Bro absolutely would drop 10k on a Black Lotus. He's definitely got a ton of League figures, alongside a shit ton of VTuber merch. He's got mommy issues and is prone to parasocial relationships, of course he's dropped thousands on superchats.

I only really watch Hololive, but I think his oshi's would be Ouro Kronii, and Gigi Murin. Kronii is definitely his kamioshi, one because of her voice and design, and two because her dry sense of humor and dread reminds him of someone.

What's the largest Chococat plush out there? Both rarer and actually "still in retail" one [totally not wanting to get one...]

It's hard to say which is the largest since there's no archive for all of Chococat's merchandise (tho I would love it if someone made one) but I can show a few listings I've seen pop up over the years. Most of them are older plushies so the price is generally super high even on top of the increased shipping fees 😭 for the sake of simplicity I'm only sending active listings.

Starting with the rarer "vintage" items, most of his bigger plushies are in the 14-16 inch range, like these ones for example:

Plushies of this size for him are generally $300+, though these are only two options, I'm sure there are other listings in this size range.

There are also Chococat plushies that are 24 inches or more. These seem to be super rare and I only see them pop up every once in a while for outrageous prices:

Like this one for example. Unfortunately scalpers have been going a little crazy with pricing Chococat plushies lately, so unless you thrift in person or come across a generous listing I'd expect to pay several hundred dollars for one.

There are better priced non-vintage options thankfully, though the tradeoff is that they're kinda boring looking:

The 16 inch Fiesta plushies generally go for reasonable prices. There is also a classic style 16 inch Chococat currently available via Sanrio retailers. Retail is the best way to ensure that you aren't being overcharged for a plushie, though the options are underwhelming. I recommend following your local Sanrio stores social media and checking updates every once in a while since they have been making more stuff for him lately.

Checking listings frequently for second hand items also never hurts, maybe you'll get lucky! Thank you for sending an ask and best of luck!

HI THANK YOU and yes I made them by hand, with the help of a sewing machine and an embroidery machine!

I'm using a maker space at my old college so there is free access... I was not about to drop hundreds on machines that I'd only use for a short while. I only spent money to buy minky cloth and stuffing. I watched dozens of YouTube videos about plushie making and using minky cloth (playlist of minky plush tutorials, how to use a sewing machine, videos by japanese and korean plush makers to get inspo for the pattern). I made the patterns myself too, which has been a whole process of trial and error 😵‍💫 this whole endeavor started at the end of June. and now it's August 11. so it's been like 1.5 months of only plushies on the brain.

I think that uh... with the amount of time I spent making these things, I could have definitely saved a lot of effort if I just paid some company in China $200 for 2 plushies, but NO... I will treasure them much more if I make them by hand. plus it's fun to learn something new :)

week one hundred and seventy two

i arrived to korea on thursday. the flight went surprisingly well? i even bought anxiety meds beforehand thinking i was gonna crash out during the whole thing but it went so well? i'm so proud of myself. i treated myself a plushie at the moomin store at the helsinki airport so sniff (not sure if he's called that in english too but my internet is ass so i can't be bother to google it) was my emotional support (and head rest) for the flight. i was lucky with my seat too. i got a window seat and the seat between me and the other girl was empty so we both had more space to sit comfortably. she was so nice. she lost her phone at some point so i helped her look for it a little until she came back super happy and went "i found it!!!". she had a sick leopard print coat.

we got scammed by some taxi driver at the airport and then we just rested at the hotel all day after that. my jetlag wasn't that bad and it's completely gone now which is nice. a's is bad still though. she's nice and she has good taste in youtubers. we've been watching some smosh and jenna marbles together over meals. one problem i'm having with her is that she's so tired all the time we can never go out for too long before she wants to go home. i mean i understand that the jetlag is bad so i'll let it slide for now. we visisted the starfield mall in gangnam on saturday but apparently she doesn't like shopping so i'll have to go by myself sometime and look through thoroughly.

i got some stickers for m at work and then i got a schampoo and conditioner at lush. i got the tofu schampoo and valkyrie conditioner because the worker said they compliment each other. the worker was sooooooooooo cool. and cute. he had a cunty little labret piercing. i ate it uuuuuuup. they're very pushy or whatever you should call it in swedish lushes but this was next level. the second we walked in he started showing us body sprays and making us smell multiple ones. i mean... i didn't mind talking to him ehehe. he first made us smell sticky dates and i was like "oh, sitcky dates!" and he seemed happy i knew it haha. i'm delusional... anyways, then my friend eventually told him i was looking for schampoo so he walked over to the schampoo table and showed a bunch of stuff and a then also mentioned i have curly hair so he started looking for a specific one. he then pulled up papago and asked if i wanted the schampoo to straighten my hair or volumize my curls to which i said i wanted it to volumize them. he then recommended tofu. then he continued talking about the conditioners and his coworker joined in and she asked why i was buying the smaller sizes and i explained i'm only here for four months so i don't need the bigger ones but she then recommended i'd get the bigger conditioner at least... which i did but like... i use more schampoo than conditioner TT like conditioner is easier to spread out the lengths than what schampoo is to make it lather up all around my scalp. it's fineeeee.

anyways, continue, she asked me if i liked bts because she saw my mang on my bag. i didn't really know what to say because like yeah? but not really anymore? i just said i used to like them a lot but now i mostly just keep the keychain because i think it's cute. i was just about to pay when the pierced cutie came back and he was like "wait, try this hand lotion!" and showed a small plop of cream on his finger and he reached for my hand so i removed my glove and he started massaging the cream in my hand LIKE DUUUUUUUUUUUDE. they don't do all of this in sweden like are all korean lushes this intimate... but i wanna let all the gods know i'm extremely thankful for letting this gorgeousgorgeous lush man with his cunty little lip piercing and monochrome black work outfit massage the orange blossom scented hand lotion into my left hand for many many seconds. i will think about him at my wedding and sigh.

other than that we haven't really left the mogdong area where our hotel is. we've been to a few convenience stores and we've been to mcdonald's twice. our second day here we tried finding a true korean restaurant but it was so incredibly hard to find somewhere where they had literally ANYTHING without meat in it on the menu. even at mcdonald's i have to eat a pattyless burger. the first and only time i've had a meal containing protein since i got here was on saturday when we found a plant-based restaurant by accident in the starfield mall where i got a mushroom alfredo. so no real korean food yet apart from a couple of triangle gimbabs.

Are you more afraid of death or not completely living? Not completely living. Death happens to all...I can easily accept that. But I don't think I can forgive myself if I end up not living my life to the fullest I can make it.

What’s something you would love to have happen right now? For traffic in this country to be permanently eradicated, lol. I came from Makati earlier today and was in a State of Shock seeing EDSA still as stacked as goddamn ever. As if it was weekday rush hour. Unbelievable. I want to go out less and less everyday – the traffic takes up most of people's energy and patience anyway, lmao.

You were given the opportunity to get a new cellular device, what do you choose? I'd go for the iPhone 16, I guess. I'm not desperate to have it since the features haven't changed much, and my 13 still feels relatively new to me; but if I get a freebie pass for a new phone I might as well get the latest version.

How nice of a person are you, honestly? Tbh I try to be as nice as I can to everyone, but I admittedly have a bias toward service crew...or, really, anyone who is from a lower income class. Parking attendants, security guards, baristas, servers, Grab drivers... god knows how other people may have already treated them or spoken to them that day. So I'm nice. It's free to do. If the meal I wanted to order is out of stock, it's not the end of the world; let's just get another one. Versus older, entitled people who'd have a meltdown if their stupid fucking pasta is unavailable.

For people who look middle class or rich, I'm also nice but I generally keep it formal, if that makes sense. I'm just nice enough to not cause a scene – mostly because I expect more from them to be more educated and be just as nice. It's also the richer people who are more uptight or act super entitled, so I've learned not to overly bend over backwards for them.

Now that I'm thinking about it..

I could just end it tonight

if I do it when everyone is asleep they won't be able to notice that I'm not going to wake up the next day, because i ended up falling into the deepest, most peacful slumber known to human kind. Death.

And him? i don't even knoe when he'd even find out. He'd probably find out by my parents telling him, or perhpas he'd actaully notice that I'm offline since tonight and woukld wonder, eventually, when he notices, and perhaps then he'd text my little borther, asking wether I'm alright, bacuse i haven't been replying. I honestly don't know when he'd even question my absences or notice, because right now it seems as if he could've easily went without tecting me since i walked him to the bus station and he hugged and kissed me. Maybe for the last time if I actually do it.

I won't tho, it seems very, VERY, intriguing, but i made a promise, a pinky promise even. A promise that i won't break this time, so I guess i have to keep suffering until it starts getting easier again.

I know it will get easier and better, it has in the past and it will be better sometime soon.

The part that scares me is the fact taht this time i wouldn't stop at 15 or 20 pills, I could easily take a hundred, possibly even twohundred pills without taking anyone elses meds. And because I'd be dead, I wouldn't need them anymore anyways.

But I can't do that to my parents, siblings, close *actual* friends, and my partner..... right? i mean, yes I'm a burden, annoying, too much, too sensitive / a crybaby and make their lifes harder and more complicated, but my death would be cruel for them. Having to see my lifeless body, their daughters lifeless body in her bed, between her plushies, pillows, two blankets and fresh-ish scars would be so fukicng traumatising for them......

I think there are a few things to it, but when Palworld is getting several million sales within a week, your arguments about what works and what doesn’t don’t have to be very subtle.

I’d suggest Palworld has a few things going for it that no other monster-collector has had all of so far:

Rather than being a turn-based RPG like every other monster-collector, it’s heavily in the style of BotW/Genshin Impact, both of which are proven smash-hits with wide audiences,

It promoted and released recently, i.e. in the time period since Pokémon started haemorrhaging fans over discontent with series quality,

Pocket Pair had enough money from Craftopia sales to invest in making over a hundred 3D models with multiple unique animations (apparently they spent 1bn yen on development overall),

The Palworld design style (very directly, blatantly) appeals to the same mass-popularity cute/cool points as Pokémon does,

Even if it was dumb luck, Palworld’s advertising managed to get it sufficient recognition that “hey, this game’s actually pretty good” was news able to spread quickly upon release.

The fact that all the touted competitors are also turn-based RPGs really astonishes me. If you’re an older series then fair enough, but “I’m going to compete with Pokémon by making exactly the same type of product, only without the massive brand recognition and existing fanbase and budget” is perhaps not the smartest business move, even before everyone else did the same thing and left you competing with them as well.

Meanwhile, Palworld transplanted into a new genre, one that both has proven smash-hit success and has a natural exploration synergy with the monster-collecting concept. It's the sort of thing people have dreamed of. (It also makes the "play X instead of Palworld" ring hollow, like recommending Into The Breach to someone who wants Armored Core.)

A lot of the competitors are also made by indie studios with no past successes. However good their game is, it's naturally going to be limited by their budget. Hence you get a lot of 2D sprites with limited animations, like we're back in the DS era. You're also not going to have much advertising budget. That's going to make it hard to attract casual gamers in large numbers.

And for the established series, I'd split them between "didn't show up" (failed point 2, haven't released while Pokémon is vulnerable) and "don't have the right look" (pass point 2 but fail point 4; SMT and DQM have recent releases but they're hardly full of marketable plushies).

I mostly expect Palworld to be the starting gun on bigger studios trying to get in on this space... but then, people make a lot of talk about risk adversity in media publishing, right? It might be that the no-name indies are too poor and the big publishers are too cautious to make high-investment gambles on this genre, leaving only smaller developers foolhardy enough to blow all their money and get called a copycat as liable to compete.

Not to say that everything else surrounding Palworld doesn’t bear discussion, but focusing only on what type of game it is and the sort of reception and attention it garnered in part due to this, it’s just further confirmation for something we’ve already known, in a way a proper study helps corroborate something well known: People really love collecting little guys, and the moment a non-nintendo collecting little guys game appeared, people immediately wanted to play it.

Yes, the subversive edge definitely helped its sales — that being that the little guys have guns — but end of the day, I think it has more to do with the collection of little guys, or the promise of it, because Palworld is more survival crafting that little guy collecting.

I know competing with Nintendo is a daunting prospect, but if peepeepoopoo company known for half-baked projects and abandoning support for their games nigh instantly despite promises to do otherwise, among many other things, can garner that level of sales, attention and fanfare by adding a spin to the promise of collecting little guys, imagine what a big developer with more scruples and standards can do with the concept and some effort.

"Warner Crew At The Carnival"

Dr Scratchensniff thought he knew what to expect when he along with Ralph took the Warners out to the local carnival. Helping the Warners win Pinky and the Brain at a shady ring toss game was not one of those expectations.

The two lab mice had previously undertaken another one of their world domination schemes when one of the local carnies had mistaken them as take home pet prizes.

What followed would be an intense competion between the Warner Crew and another visitor from the reboot, body builder and new special freind, Nils Niedhardt.  Two Hundred rings and several stuffed animal plushies later, the lab mice rode away safely in the shirt pocket of Ralph the secuirty guard.

Ralph giggled as the mice wiggled inside. "Theys tickle me!"

"Gee, Brain. Who knew we'd finally get a free ride for once? Narf!" said Pinky.

"This isn't the kind of free ride I had in mind." Brain complained. "In fact I finds it's hygiene questionable. Why does he smell like coconut...?"

Ralph was also carrying two of the Warner Brothers in his arms.

"Look at it this way, he's a ride you don't have to wait on for once!" Yakko responded.

"Thanks for helping out with that last game, Scratchy! We were started to get tired" Wakko said as he reached for the cotton candy in Dr. Scratchensniff's arms.

The psychiatrist looked up in shock. "You kids are actually tired? For once?!"

The two adults were suprised at how well behaved the Warners were today compared to how they usually acted in the past. Normally it ended with the both of them chasing the trio all around the carnival, several vistors being at the mercy of their 'special freind' antics and moderate property damage, but today was relatively normal for them. 

Aside from the ring toss, there were only a few other incidents.  Dot and Yakko tightrope walking across the beams of the moving ferris wheel.  A pie eating competition that ended with Wakko in the first place and Ralph with a face full of coconut cream. And Scratchensniff nearly losing his lunch when the trio took control of a rickety spinning tea cup ride. 

Dot, who was resting on his shoulder peered near his ear to respond.  "We've been tired, our youthful demeanor just hides it well."

"Besides, now that our show is done, we finally have a moment to relax for once!" said Wakko. "Being zany to the max was starting to feel like work again"

Scratchensniff nodded in agreement.  "Well,  you three have been natural at this for years." 

The trio had been ramping up their antics for the reboot's abrupt final season. But the extra pressure of pleasing their eager fans made them work harder than ever before.

"Yep. But we're cartoon veterans now. We need some time off " Yakko responded.

"Dahhh, Veterans? I didn't know theys brought back the draft!" Said Ralph.

 "So what do you all  have planned now the shows over?" Scratchensniff asked them.

"Catch up with all the HBO Max shows that haven't been taken off, yet." Said Yakko.

"Update my Master class on nunchuck lessons." said Dot.

"Maybe visit Slappy Squirrel, or our old CEO" Wakko added. 

His older brother shook his head. "I don't about that, T.P is probably still comatose when he found out Ralph became CEO at the end of season 2"

The guard huffed indignantly. "Noes he wasn't! He was just personified with joy!"

Scratchensniff was about to correct the guards words usage when Yakko asked him. " What about you?"

Scratchensniff blinked at hearing that, he wasn't expecting to be asked about it. "Well, doing my job of course. That and looking out for you three, Which also my job"

"Wow,  we thought you would retire the moment the show ended!" Wakko exclaimed. 

The psychiatrist smiled. "This world is cuckoo enough as is, but if I am going to deal with it, I'd rather it be with you"

The trio smiled at his geneniunely sweet response.

Yakko looked over his shoulder. "How are you holding up back there Nils?"

The muscular overgrown adversary in question was carrying the group's victory spoils from the ring toss game.

"Hating this..." Nils grumbled. The stuffed animal plushies towered above his head.

After being such a great sport during their competition. The Warners let him pick out one to keep for himself. He ended up picking one that visually matched how he felt, a pink jackass.

I seriously had to force myself to keep this story from going on too long.

I had been meaning to do another digital painting for a long time.

But I wanted to go for a look that was more refined than my other ones. Something a little less sketchy and rough.

And with the shows final season out now, I finally felt  motivated to do it with an idea I had been sitting on for a long time.  The final season of Animaniacs actually ended up being really enjoyable and ended with a bang! ( Granted not the one the fans nor I were expecting)

So I decided to do a group shot with Warners and freinds again, but this time in a fluffy casual setting.

I've been thinking about that exact issue re: factories. I'd love to have some plushes mass produced (these factories have way more better and larger materials for doing so than i ever could), but i can't figure out how to do so without heavily exploiting other workers. How do you go about vetting the working conditions, especially if the factory is too far away to visit?

i wish i could answer that but like i said i likely will never work with factories because i have yet to find one that´s even close to what i would consider good working conditions and there isn´t any good way to even vet them for it so i tend to just assume the worst unless proven otherwise also you would be surprised how much you can do at home equipment wise. A lot of the fancier stuff like printing your own fabric and embroidery machines do run in the 1.5-2k range but it´s something you can get later on! at this point i really only need to buy the raw materials anymore (fabric, stuffing, eyes, ect.).

another option is to reach out to people who make plushies themselves and ask if they would be interested in a collab. i personally don´t do those with strangers but other plush makers might be open to it if you really want to see some designs made but can´t go through the process yourself!

none of those options will make you as much money as quickly as a really succesful kickstarter might but it´s also easier to manage and you aren´t gonna have a house overfilled with boxes of plushies, fight factories about too many faulty ones being present, deal with shipping and customer support of hundreds or thousands of orders.

honestly the closest thing to business advice i can give anyone is to make things that make you happy, try your best to treat people you are working with as equals and start out slow and build up. the last thing is especially important if you have chronic health issues (physical or mental). i´ve gotten close to breaking down from taking on too much before and learning your limits and boundaries is really important

also learn to account for those limits in your pricing and treat yourself well. everyone deserves to be paid a living wage and that includes yourself!

I can openly make 'flirty/suggestive' comments and throw 3 (very) inappropriate jokes in a row to casually respond in a conversation, to the point where my male friends keep assuming I'm flirting with them (I'm really not, that's how I act around people In comfortable with). But if you put me in front of someone I have a crush on, I become hella awkward, I can't even ask them a casual question without somehow messing up, make it make sense 🤷‍♀️ (why did Daddy Issues start playing while I was typing this last part, ffs)

At this point, I get a genuine compliment and turn it into a self depricating joke. Even in deep, meaningful conversations, I tend to throw in dark comments. My fellow STAY friend has actually said that I give off Lee Know energy sooo here it is, I guess 😅

Like, I could just be casually talking to my friends about, let's say, cartoons, and once I find out we all watch the same thing, I verbally keyboard smash, lol (you should see me when I find out people I hang out with listen to artists I really like, the other day I found out a girl we met recently is a fan of Weekend and Chase Atlantic, and the scream I let out, gosh). I also do this when I'm really irritated, annoy me enough (or talk shit about something I'm passionate about) and I'm competing with Jisung Changbin Seungmin on who can talk the fastest. I'm talking angry rapper Kim Seokjin level, that's how I am 😂

˚ ♡ ⋆.˚ Hyunjin: Doing my makeup and dressing up when I'm home alone for no apparent reason. Mainly during spring/summer, because in the winter I'm a depressed potato sack, mood so low I procrastinate getting out of bed 🤣 But yeah, it makes no sense, I take my time to get dolled up just to take a hundred selfies (half of which I hate and probably delete) and then go back to watching dramas while eating takeout in my hoodie. Stupid but honestly a nice little confidence boost, a fun activity between crying sessions imo.

˚ ♡ ⋆.˚ Han: Platonically calling my close friends 'babes', 'honey', 'lovely/my love', 'sweetheart' etc (I have also considered using 'papi chulo' as a joke 😂) It just happens mid-convo, especially when a friend can't decide on something. Usually in a passive-aggressive tone, like "Sweetheart, we talked about this a million times already, can you shut up?" or "My love, can you please wait for ONE fucking moment so I can finish doing this?" (and then I use 'dude' and 'bro' romantically, wow Noni, you and your weird brain 👏)

˚ ♡ ⋆.˚ Felix: Baking sweets out of the blue and sharing them with friends/family. I find it surprisingly relaxing compared to cooking (why does it feel so fast paced, lol) and seeing people enjoying what I've made makes me really happy 😊 Not saying I dislike cooking, I'd just rather make chocolate chip cookies at my own pace than stress over the second failed fried egg and the burned bacon 🙂

˚ ♡ ⋆.˚ Seungmin: Jotting down my dreams either in my notes app or in a journal (if they're interesting enough) mostly because I leave sarcastic remarks on them in the margins (might make a post about that) So when I want to have a laugh, I go back to them because they're so random and stupid but they always crack me up 😅

˚ ♡ ⋆.˚ I.N: Collecting plushies. Listen, I'm a simple person; I see something adorable and really cuddly, I buy it (if only it was this easy with relationships too, lmao). I'm not shaming anyone? Idk how this read like that, I just think it's funny. FNAF toys look like actual bears, I have no idea what Baldi is & Tattletail is literally based in a ferby that is also just a normal toy. Monsters Inc is a movie specifically designed to be approachable for kids of that time, is about how monsters aren't scary and sells toys so they look nice, soft and kind except 4 characters that don't really have merch bc they're negative characters. This game likely had little to no kid training cos that wasn't the goal at first and these characters look like kids very young drawing (due to the way they had to be made) n that's my point, they don't look like toys or characters they look like a mess and it's funny. Mess that the Devs cared for, yes but still an ugly mess that was quickly made to get the games out and vision to life, not every game has to look like a realistic masterpiece*

Tea parties and sleepovers are constantly ruined by stuff as simple as china dolls, like I said, and even just a vintage teddy bear with joints or strange faces. I would know, I've been into both since tea party age and they did get ruined a few times so much so I was asked to hime them from then on. Not all kids are the same and like monsters at all but some kids are literally scared of posters bc they don't like to be looked at and some kids find worms gross so would 100% hate a room that looks like the one I described. Even when i had my first ever roommate, I had to hide a vintage bear cos they couldn't sleep at night knowing it was on my side of the room, I bet they'd hate anything in picture 1 n we were 20-24.

It's not some "Kids these days liking awful stuff, stupid human tumour ugh, those things are awful" it's literally just "wouldn't it be funny if all a kid had for room decor was these ugly little guys?" Ugly isn't always a bad word to everyone, it's just what these guys are. It's like when ppl call some dogs ugly. They're scraggly, dirty, patchy, old and ugly but you like their charm. It's the same as the word childish, it's only bad if you want it to be, it's just a word full of wonder. I literally have a side blog dedicated to talking about the hundreds of plushies I have in my (22) room, I am childish. What would the Collectors' Palisman be?

That's what I will be theorizing today!

Kitsune. In my opinion.

What do Foxes represent?

Foxes, generally, represent cunning, playfulness and resilience. They walk the fine line between the wilds and urban living, making the best of both environments. They are adaptable, clever and full of mischief.

One of the most common associations with foxes is their cleverness and resourcefulness. (as said from above) They are known for their ability to outsmart predators and humans alike, and have long been associated with trickery and deceit. (I will be talking about this part early on) This cunning nature has earned them a place in many cultures as a symbol of intelligence and shrewdness. In fact, the phrase "as sly as a fox" has become a popular expression to describe someone who is clever and quick-witted.

Most of these (not all) are personality traits of our Collector.

The Little Prince parallels

The Collector himself, is clearly inspired from "The Little Prince" a story about loneliness, friendship, sadness, and love. The prince is a small boy from a tiny planet (an asteroid to be precise), who travels the universe, planet-to-planet, seeking wisdom. On his journey, he discovered the unpredictable nature of adults. Which is funny because, that's what the Collector is doing right now. He's returning back to the stars, trying to grow by himself - whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. And also to potentially face his siblings again.

They also have a fox plushie under their bed, which can be seen in FtF referencing the Prince's best friend, the Fox. And the Fox to the Little Prince, is exactly what King is to the Collector.

Foxes in Japanese Mythology

Kitsune are foxes that possess paranormal abilities that increase as they get older and wiser. (Which i am speculating is true for Collectors/Archivists) According to yōkai folklore, all foxes have the ability to shapeshift into human form. While some folktales speak of kitsune employing this ability to trick others—as foxes in folklore often do—other stories portray them as faithful guardians, friends, and lovers.

Kitsune have become closely associated with Inari, a Shinto kami or spirit, and serve as its messengers. This role has reinforced the fox's supernatural significance. The more tails a kitsune has—they may have as many as nine—the older, wiser, and more powerful it is. Because of their potential power and influence, some people make sacrifices to them as to a deity. (i.e the Titan Trappers in this case.)

Kitsune are believed to possess superior intelligence, long life, and magical powers. (Similar to Collectors' race) They are a type of yōkai. The word kitsune is sometimes translated as 'fox spirit', which is actually a broader folkloric category. This does not mean that kitsune are ghosts, nor that they are fundamentally different from regular foxes. Because the word spirit is used to reflect a state of knowledge or enlightenment, all long-lived foxes were believed to gain supernatural abilities.

Conversely foxes were often seen as "witch animals", especially during the Edo period (1603–1867), and were thought of as goblins who could not be trusted (similar to some badgers and cats). (And wouldn't you know it, Phillip was born in the early seventeenth century!)

The Two Types of Kitsune

The zenko (善狐, lit. 'good foxes') are benevolent, celestial foxes associated with Inari; they are sometimes simply called Inari foxes in English.

Evil behavior frequently attributed to kitsune is always the work of yako, not zenko. Whereas yako have no interest in advancement in kitsune society, zenko work hard to improve themselves and increase their social standing. Zenko may occasionally play tricks or pranks on people, but they do not seriously harm or kill humans. (At least for him, he didn't think that he was wiping them out of existence)

His siblings tricked him into playing with the little titans so they could murder them. Sure, some had malicious intent or some were simply delusional or even both. But in the end, they're all pretty awful people just like yako.

His so called "friend" used him and intended to abandon him.

I did say I was going to bring up the topic of how foxes are generally associated with trickery and deceit, especially in Japanese Mythology, wasn't I?

Instead of him lying to everyone, everyone lied to him, and instead of him being a complete liar - he's actually a pretty truthful little guy. Keen on friendship and most importantly honesty, you can trust him with anything. That's a major part of his character that is very often brought up in the show.

I just wanted a friend that wouldn't lie to me, or trick me. But everyone's the same. King lied. Belos lied. Even they lied.

Though, the possibility of him having a palisman is pretty low - if he does get one and it turns out to be a fox, it'll at least remind him that King truly is his friend and that nobody is lying, or tricking him anymore. He has friends now, true friends who he can turn to in times of support and it'll coincide with his wish of having honest sincere friendship as well.
