Do you have a recommendation list of wlw books? Could be your favorites or the ones you thought were the best or just anything really. I'm always looking for more of them
of course my dude
lets get the big boys out of the way
this is how you lose the time war by amal el-mohtar and max gladstone. you've probably heard about. you've probably seen quotes from it. i myself was late to it (i read it the other month) but lord is the hype worth it (in my opinion). made me crazy.
the priory of the orange tree by samantha shannon. yes its big. im sorry but it is worth it. samantha the audacity to create sabran berethnet and let me read the book in a 24 period. the yearning of it all.
gideon the ninth/harrow the ninth by tamsyn muir. its aight. im not the person you should go to about gtn tbh but everyone else out there will tell you about it.
my personal favs
a memory called empire/a desolation called peace by arkady martine. yes i am talking about them again. these two books are the best thing ever written. how many hugos can one woman win. it is so intricate and layered and nobody says what they mean and the politics and the brain surgery and the sluttiness of former ambassadors. thinking about mahit dzmare's character makes me feral. three seagrass can be a teixcalaan so personal.
foundryside/shorefall by robert jackson bennett. me once again banging my one man drum about foundryside. please it is so good i dont care if the fantasy magic system isn't for you. there is a shit talking key. there is brain surgery. there are complex morals. there is a wlw romance just for the hell of it. where the plot goes in shorefall to this day makes me batshit insane. i have read shorefall at least half a dozen times in four months. can the third book come out now please mr bennett i am dying.
the long way to the small angry planet by becky chambers. becky chambers my beloved. i would die for you. i am so sorry i haven't read to be taught yet but i will buy everything you write. but about this actual book it is perfect. everything in this book was so good and soft and whenever i thought something would happen that would make me mad. nope. every single book in this series (there are four of them and all are beautiful to look at if you dont live in america) is outstanding. becky chambers and arkady martine duking it out for the hugo next year.
other books i wholeheartedly recommend
the rise of kyoshi/the shadow of kyoshi by fc lee. yes they are fantastic. if you like atla read them.
when the tiger came down the mountain by nghi vo. stunning novella but i recommend reading the first one the empress of salt and fortune first. also stunning but not as gay.
the jasmine throne by tasha suri. the start of a promising trilogy. the slow burn reeled me in lads. but in my honest opinion not as morally grey as what the people on goodreads said.
sweet and bitter magic by adrienne tooley. do you not mind ya? do you like every single trope imaginable shoved into a book? this is the book for you. the angst got to me ill admit it.
the atlas six by olivie blake. some kind of weird dark academia shit going on here. a plot relevant threesome. not wlw but theres lgbt rep throughout.
the library of the unwritten/the archive of the forgotten by aj hackwith. again not wlw but lgbt rep but i adore these books. third in the trilogy comes out the end of the year and i am stoked. cool library concepts is the best book plot and this are by far the coolest.
steel crow saga by paul krueger. a fun read overall. atla and pokemon vibes with some of that sweet sweet complex moral questions with a fun wlw couple.
jane unlimited by kristin cashore. i dont care it gets really weird in the end i adore this book. get weird kirstin you do you. fun chose your own adventure type thing. main character has romantic moments with two of the characters and its not romance heavy.
finna by nino cipri. novella about two exes trying to get through inter dimensional ikea. yes that is the plot. yes it is good
books that i haven't finished/read yet but have heard they are good
she who became the sun by shelley parker-chan. ive read the first couple chapters and was meh but everyone else ive seen that has read it loved it. is said to be mulan meets the song of achilles, which are two things i have not seen/read so.
one last stop by casey mcquiston. i have read 2/3s of this but ill be honest the sex kinda threw me out of the book. if you dont have this problem and liked rwrb you will also like this.
the liars dictionary by eley williams. if you like pretentious english kid speak. really neat idea for a book is you can get past that.
the councillor by ej beaton. ugh i wanted to read this one so bad but i found it at not a good reading time for me. sounds like it is fantastic though. politics heavy book.
unconquerable sun by kate elliot. if you like greek retellings and can stand tense changes (i cannot).
black sun by rebecca roanhorse. have heard nothing but good things and is hugo nominated and yet i have not finished. shame on me.
these feathered flames by alexandra overy. russian folklore inspired fantasy. dont know whether it is classified as ya but has ya vibes.
fireheart tiger by aliette de bodard. i haven't even started this one but its short and has politics, yearning, and yearning while doing politics.
#this has taken me like an hour so i will stop here.#nobody wanted all this book commentary yet i give#i dont know why all of a sudden im a gay book rec blog but im not mad#i read a lot of books. i have a lot of thoughts on books. i am happy to help#anon

critical missive
dedicated to @cryptovexillologist
oh boy arent we in a fine pickle now?
usually i enjoy talking openly and bluntly about my opinions on whatever the last thing i read is, safe and secure in the knowledge that the author will most likely never stumble on my measily 700 followers tumblr blog, so i am free to express my opinion to my heart’s content knowing that no feelings will get hurt.
mission critical would be no different except i talked with the author and read their acknoledgement and the AMA they did on discord after writing the story and they have endeared themselves thoroughly to me so my language will have to be neutered, at least for the first half of this excercise. afterwards things will get a bit harsher but i’ll try to rest at ease in the knowledge that we seem to be kindred spirits and i would be delighted in hearing any kind of criticism of my work either positive or negative.
ok, enough coaching done, lets go on to what i thought of this novel.
it is a delightful romp, as i said before, the worldbuilding is understated and realistic with enough glimpses of depth and detail to suggest a much larger picture. this world feels inhabited, lived in, like it was well chewed on for long by the author before putting pen to paper. consequentially the characters that arose from this world feel like they belong, they feel like real people with real lifes. by far the strongest sections of the book were the flashbacks to their lives before the plot started. their voices, regretably, do sound very similar when interacting with each other but in their own sections the characters shine in their charm and cleverness. every time one of their flashbacks ended i was left with the intrigue and the desire to know how their particular story would continue.
the terra ignota influences are very noticeable, the world and its people carry the same kind of almost childlike positivity and innocence, the same kind of cheerful, happy go lucky trust in human progress and the great project of humanity for the future with the same sobering forlorn attitude towards the horrors of the past.
on top of that its silly, gosh in heaven it is silly. it has moments of cringe, in the best of ways. strange slapdash bits of flavor, immature non sequiturs, small indulgences from the author’s own weird interests and dumb meme humor. i do love me my awkward corners in a book, after all it is those that make something unique. there is a clear personality poking through and it is a delightful personality to meet.
i cant help but like this almost more for the context in which it was written than for the content itself, it was done during quarentine as a way to both stave off cavin fever and to process the author’s feelings regarding their gender identity. as someone who also wrote a story where i almost deliberatly tried to trick my self into breaking my own egg and who turned madly towards creative endeavors to survive the pandemic i can sympathize strongly with this. i am really happy that the author got to do this and kickstarted a project towards a big, possibly decades spanning trilogy.
so, yeah, those were the nice things i had to say, if you are content enough with that you can stop here but if you are curious to know more, well... you can
in short: it is a bit of a mess. again, im willing to be lenient, considering the way in which this was worked on, this is very much a really early first draft. the second half of this story was a very slow and very boring trudge towards a sudden end.
first, the fact that the flashbacks and the worldbuilding bits are the strongest part of this story means the actual plot itself suffers from being fairly boring and generic. “astronauts explore alien planet, find spooky stuff there” was already old hat by the 50′s. it is a plot so worn down and archetypical that it really cant survive if that is literally all you are going to do with it, and that is kind of all that this book does. i did mention moments of flavor and strange self indulgence. we needed way more of those. yes thats right, im saying that this story was not self indulgent enough. when you have such a well trodden plot such as this, worn down to the point that it becomes paint by the numbers, we need quirky, we need cringe, we need strange excess and personality. the author mentioned that they would love to see some of the weirder alexandria fan fics, well so do i! be the miracle you want to see in the world! the moments alexandria debated if wether identifying as a trilateral were amazing but they were not enough. we have a great structure here but lets put some proper meat on these bones, some proper fat and skin, some clown make up and a weird novelty hat and outrageous clown shoes. im getting carried away here, lets get back to the point.
the other problem is there is not a clear trajectory for the story here, no well defined moment of climax and the emotional beats tend to fall a bit flat or to come out of nowhere. there are emotional crisis which i sort of missed or didnt get where they came from. the characters act in ways that are hard to relate to that come off as stilted. the way they conduct themselves through the mission felt at times weirdly unprofessional and like it didnt follow much of a logical throughline, and when i say logical i dont meant “i wanted the characters to act hyperrational at all times” i mean i want the characters to act in ways that make human sense. ironically the one character that acted a bit too human for my tastes was the AI. alexandria is an interesting character but i feel that the place to explore that idea is not in the middle of an incredibly important mission where having your mainframe experience a crisis might not be the most practical thing in the world.
the ending was jarringly sudden, i didnt feel there was a proper resolution and finishing it off with flashbacks to the time the characters were training was... odd. i reached the last line and it felt like the story had just decided to stop without ever having reached anything that came even close to the third act. all of this can be easily fixed with some concientious editing and a complete rearrangement of the different sections of this story.
all in all a great first step in what i hope will be a long career as a writer.

Okii Star Wars Spoilers Ahead but.
Man, tbh i dont mind the whole 'i am all the sith' vs 'i am all the jedi' concept, which is honestly an interesting idea imo, but i wish that had been like. The Focus of the movie as opposed to just kind of Happening in the last 30 minutes?
Also if they were gonna do it, imo it would have been thematically appropriate for that to be the End Of Both Sides — we've had the 'jedi were just as fucked up' and 'will the force ever be in balance' debates for Years at this point. So showing both sides clashing in the most concentrates way and finally canceling each other out Forever could have been Neat, imo, and considering how well-recieved the Mandalorian's been it could have at least opened up the possibility for more content thst isnt focused on the all-encompasing trainwreck that is The Skywalker Lineage and the constant Jedi-vs-Sith conflict.
But that ultimately would've meant killing off Rey for real (and any chance of future money-milking trilogies) and also ignoring even more of TLJ, which. Tbh i think TLJ should have been called Rise Of Skywalker and THIS ONE should have been the Last Jedi, it feels more appropriate??
Also ROS honestly felt like it was simultaneously trying to kill a lot of what TLJ did due to the backlash it faced, but was still very clearly shackled to it's corpse and dragging it around? Imo a lot of the stuff brought up in TLJ wasn't Awful, but bc of the backlash ROS's pacing was absolutely Fucked because it felt it had to basically do two movies worth of content to get to the finale it wanted. And because TLJ subverted and played with a lot of the callbacks to the original trilogy, this one just felt bogged down with more straight-laced callbacks, references, and parallels, like it was trying too hard to say 'look look, see, we're not as bad as That Movie was!'. Feels like the few interesting things TLJ actually did all got thrown out because ROS wanted to distance itself so much.
And like i could blame TLJ for needing to be worked around in the first place, but imo the only thing to blame is disney very clearly not planning anything ahead of time which could have prevented so many of the problems it's facing. The only reason the Original Trilogy got away with it was because New Hope was the First Star Wars EVER and at the time there was no reason to expect it would get as popular as it did. Disney has no fucking excuse.
Im. Not even gonna Touch the topic of The Kiss or the so-called Redemption Arc. i didn't care for either, personally, but others have articulated why far better than i could.
Also side-note the constant fake-outs re: killing off the remaining Original Trilogy characters with Chewie and C3PO felt so. Weird and Pointless tbh?? Mostly because they were resolved so quickly (and in threepio's case, just turned into comic relief) compared to Leia's passing which. Kind of only tugged at the heartstrings bc of Carrie Fisher's own passing irl? At least for me.
Idk man the whole tone of the movie felt Off and like. Overly Safe, which was probably just a side effect of all the other stuff going on.
This turned into more of a ramble than i initially planned, oops. Anyway finn meeting other defected troopers should've been a bigger thing, he and poe should've been boyfriends, rey should've stayed unrelated to anyone, and disney needs to just Stop.
#kam talks#star wars spoilers#spoilers#aka mad ramblings that i doubt are even Close to being a Hot Take#bc even my mom felt like something was Off and shes not the type to look at any media too deeply#long post

May Reading Wrap Up
I'm actually really proud of myself. I finished 13 books last month. Spent a lot of extra time away from screens and focusing on my mental health so I burned through way more than I normally would. So anyways, here's my reviews. - Also please understand that these are just my opinions and if I shit on your favorite book I'm sorry that I didn't enjoy it as much as you. Also, also Im terrible with character names.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor ⭐⭐⭐
I actually started this book at the end of April but didn't finish it til May 1st so whatever, here it is. This books is a YA urban fantasy novel about a girl with a double life. She spends half her days studying art in Europe and the other half running errands for a tooth collecting wish monger. I don't want to say a whole lot more because I dont want to spoil anything important about the plot. So, I'll try to be vague. Let me start by saying this story is amazing. I loved the writing and the world. I rated it so low solely because I can't stand the two main characters and it really dragged down what would have otherwise been an amazing novel. So yeah, great book but its a preference thing. Also took points off for the insta-love but not really insta-love shit. Idk. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this read even a month later. Gonna read the second to see if maybe my hatred of the two mains was just a fluke.
3/5 Stars
Spellbound by Rachel Hawkins
⭐⭐⭐
This is the third book in the Hex Hall trilogy. Not much to say about it. It was a meh ending to an overall pretty good series. 3/5 stars. Moving on.
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
⭐⭐⭐
Realizing now how many of my reads this month were pretty middle of the world. Hopefully next month will be filled with 4 and 5 stars. Anyways, this book was honestly a struggle for me to finish and Im not sure why. It's a YA mystery magical realism story about a tiny coastal town that is cursed by the spirits of 3 sisters who were suspected of witchcraft and drowned 2 centuries prior. Because of this, every year the sisters return from the sea to take the lives of teenage boys by luring them to the sea. We follow the life of kind of meh and standard YA girl #1. She meets a strange non tourist boy and hires him to work in the lighthouse her family owns. Her dad randomly disappeared years ago and her mom is a loon. So yeah... I dont know. I kind of felt like this story was hot garbage in places. I usually dont have any trouble with the suspense of disbelief in magical realism stories but this one just had too many plot holes. Like, I get morbid stuff becomes tourist attractions but why wouldn't someone have stepped in and evacuated the town if at least 3 teenage boys die there EVERY SINGLE YEAR without fail? I honestly feel like the FBI or some other government agency would have cleared the place out after the first 20 or so deaths. There was also the whole MC can see the ghosts of the girls possessing people but chooses not to tell anyone? Like, I get it. You dont want people to label you a freak or think you're crazy but come the fuck on. You live in a tourist trap where people flock to watch local teenage males wash up on shore and you really think the authorities arent going to take you up on the help? It wasn't an awful book by any means. It was well written and extremely descriptive. Just had major beef with some of the details. Anyways, I wont say much more so I don't spoil the whole book.
3/5 Stars
An Enchantment of Ravens by Maragret Rogerson
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Finally, I get to talk about one of my favorite reads of the month. I love anything to do with the Fae in my YAfiction and this was literally everything I wanted in a Fae novel. It takes place in a town called Whimsy, a humanish town in the world of Faerie. The fae cannot do any Craft, or what we would consider craftsmanship. Art and humans who can do it well are very precious in this world because the Fae can't ever do it themselves. We follow the adventures of a girl who has been commisioned to paint the portrait of the Autumn King and the chaos that ensues. Let me just start by saying this is one of those insta-love situations where I feel like it's genuinely ok. I might be making excuses because I loved the title so much but whatever. It's explained and I accept it. Also, I realize that Gadfly had a lovely description but my brain willl not let me picture him as anything but Mr.Waternoose from Monsters Inc.
5/5 Stars
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
⭐⭐⭐
This book started out so good and went downhill very quickly. It follows the story of these two magicians who were fated by their Master's to one day fight to the death. There were so many things I loved about this book only for the last 100 pages to just take a firey dump on my face. I loved the setting and the majority of the characters. The supporting characters were so deep and interesting that I almost cared more about them than I did Ceilia and Marko (Im proabably wrong and I dont feel like googling but I think that was his name) . I don't know. I don't want to complain about anymore meh books.
3/5 Stars
Matched by Allie Condie
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Went into this book expecting to hate it. I usually don't like contemporary love stories but this had major City of Ember meets The Giver vibes and it just appealed to that 14 year old girl in me again. That seems to happen with a lot of dystopian utopia stories. Anyways, story is about a girl who lives in this town where when you hit a certain age you are brought to a place and told who the government has chosen for you to marry. She is matched with her life long best friend and all is well. Except that her little Get To Know Your New Husband microship thing showed her two guys instead of just one. And lots of bullshit ensues. I honestly think I rated this so high because I enjoy the world and not so much whats actually happening to the kids. Like, I loved the idea that art is harmful so the government chose 100 acceptable pieces and thats all these people know. I loved the brutality of the government in general. I can't say much more without spoiling some of the twists but geez did it have me hooked. I'm going to be started the second one soonish, though my TBR for June has gotten intense so we will see.
4/5 stars
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I cannot say enough good things about this book. It is so fucking good! Not going to rant about it or anything because y'all just need to go read it immediately.
5/5 stars
Would give it every star in the sky if Im being completely honest.
Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh
⭐⭐
Got sucked into this book by the cover and honestly that was the best part of this book. Its about this world where necromancy is pretty highly regarded and used to resurrect the royals after they die. The only downside is that if a living person ever lays eyes on the resurrected person's skin then they turn into these horrible monsters. Maybe it's just me but like that absolutely does not seem worth the risk. Plus, in order to bring the person back, these reapers have to go into the death world and bring the spirit back. And it's HELLA DANGEROUS. So like, WHY? Anyways, there is this stupid underlying love story that I absolutely wasn't invested in. This just all around was not a good book.
2/5 stars
Monster High by Lisi Harrison
⭐⭐
Little known fact~ I'm obsessed with Monster High and Ever After High. So yeah, I realize this wasn't targeted to me as an adult but even going into it with an open mind I was disappointed. Granted I didn't read the description of the book prior. I just saw this franchise I love and grabbed it. First, if you are a fan of the mini series and the movies do not read this. It doesnt follow the cinematic canon and I think that was my biggest problem with it. Frankie's character was all wrong and I hated the whole"Normy" cast. Was really excited for these but I definitely won't be continuing the series. I don't even want to torture myself with seeing how they manage to ruin my sweet baby Draculara.
2/5 stars
Unhinged by AG Howard
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I can't say enough good things about this series. This is the second book in the trilogy and it was a fanatstic bridge book. It had me engrossed through the entire audiobook. Morpheus is still everything. If you loved Splintered I would highly reccomend continuing.
5/5 stars
Truthwitch
⭐⭐
Have had this on my TBR for a while because of how many Booktubers have hyped the series. Buy, was I disappointed. I was soooooooooo bored. Maybe it's because I don't really enjoy this type of fantasy or maybe it was just the slower paced story but I just slugged through this book. Both of the main female characters were bland to me and I didn't care about their friendship. The world was cool but not enough to keep me invested. Just wasn't my cup of tea.
2/5 stars
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
⭐⭐⭐
Picked this up because of how much I loved The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein and it didn't meet my expectations. It follows this girl who works for a paranormal gorvenment group. She has a special ability that makes her really useful to them so they are trying to groom her basically. They capture this changeling and she befriends him and there is an overarching plot that I just didn't get invested in. The friendship between the two main characters was pretty much the only thing that I enjoyed in this title. The mother figure was insufferable and I just didn't really understand the whole org that they worked for in general. Not an awful book but not fantastic.
Solid 3/5 stars.
The Siren by Kiera Cass
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Going to preface this by saying I might be biased. I love Kiera Cass and have enjoyed almost everything she has written. That said, this wasn't nearly as good as The Selection series but it was a pretty good stand alone novel. It about a girl who becomes a siren on her deathbed and spends the next 100 years serving the sea by luring people to their deaths. After doing this for 70 years, she falls in love and pretty much ruins everything. Loved the characters, especially the male lead. The insta love was a little pet peeve of mine but the love interest was so sweet and genuine that I was willing to overlook it. Pretty good read if you dig supernatural romance.
4/5 stars
June holds the Ghibli-a-thon but also lots of holidays for my family so we will see how much I actually get read. So far my tentative TBR is 5 books but we will see where the days take me.

Space asks: moon, planets, earth, neptune, pluto, constellations, aquila, bootes, cygnus, gemini, pegasus, perseus, ursa major, supergiant, red dwarf and protostar, These seemed to be the best ones and the others I think i have already used with other asks so hopefully these aren't redundant :0
That’s a lot still! You played yourself last time, this time, I did 🤣🤣
Alright
Moon: are you currently reading any books? If so, what books?
Im currently in the process of trying to line up the requests from different libraries to read Song of the Nile, Daughters Of The Nile and Lily of the Nile. I managed to read...Lily? i believe it was, but it was the second in the trilogy and nowadays i have to FORCe myself to read
Planets- If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
Ireland.
Earth- If you could be anyone else for a day, who would you want to be?
That’s the thing...I wouldn’t want to be anyone else just...a different version of myself for a day...is that weird?
Neptune- Describe yourself in one sentence.
Simply complicated and Complicatedly simple.
Pluto- If you could meet anyone, alive or dead, who would you meet?
OOH! this one is good!...at this point in time, there are too many celebs i’d want to meet for me to narrow it down (aside from Alex but i wanna give a less obvious answer this time XD) I’d have to say...My Nonny. She died when I was two, but i’ve always felt a huge connection to her and i wish i knew her more.
Constellations- If you could have one talent, what would you want it to be? (can be magical or not
To be a better writer...To the point where I could actually publish my shit XD
Aquila- Do you prefer to read books or watch movies?
Depends on the book and the movie. Sometimes both. XD
Bootes- If you could have any animal, wild or not, fake or not, which would you want?
Oh holy lord...Wild or not AND fake or not?! Killin’ me smalls...um...I’d say its a tie between a Phoenix or a Pegasus
Cygnus- If you could go back to any time period for a couple days, when/where would you want to go?
GOD not a history one!...either ancient Egypt (i LOVE anything about Cleopatra it’s so interesting!) or ancient rome
Gemini- Do you have any siblings? How many?
I, unfortunately, have a younger brother and he makes me want to beat the shit oiut of him every day...and then we get high, go get food and watch stuff on Netflix, Hulu, or whatever is new on Game Grumps XD
Holy lord there are a lot...
Pegasus- What’s your favorite music genre?
I hate favorites XD I don’t really. If i like the song, i like the song. I can put my songs on shuffle and go from Celtic music to rap, then disney songs, then country, throw in some 90′s music, maybe some old school shit from the 70′s/80′s...like it’s a fucking mixed bag okay? XD
Perseus- What’s your favorite movie genre?
i DO love scary movies, but that shit needs to be done with plenty of time to cope afterward and someone there as bait, i mean to protect me... @badwolf-in-the-impala beware our marathon XD
Ursa Major- If you had to pick any job to have, what job would you want?
a photographer for either Nat Geo or some fashion magazine. I wouldn’t even mind doing promo shots for tv/movies or artists/bands. anything where i can be creative and travel while doing photography really lol
Supergiant- What’s something you like about yourself?
Physically? absolutely nothing. I am a potato. other than that?...idk? im creative? lol. i dont really think anything about me is that great, tbh.
Red Dwarf- What’s your favorite smell? What smell makes you feel most comfortable?
I actually know the answer to this! Well, favorite smell, Roses, lemon, mint, any of those. What makes me feel comfortable? I’ve recently discovered this. I have an air freshener in my car that’s like, clean laundry or that like laundry smell? and it kicks in really good when i have the heater on, so it smells like FRESH laundry and i was enveloped in it today and i loved it. brought me back to my chilhood for some reason. made me think of my mom.
Protostar- Give a random fact about yourself.
idk? i’m like 97.99% positive i’m a partial reincarnation of Sarah Winchester (if thats even a thing XD) but that’s a whole other ask...XD

Its an foe that they are able camouflage itself enough to get really close during hunting. Maybe it can clown you even up close. And what if even that doesnt stop it? What if, in the end, you cant beat them, so you join them?
Aihua said the evaluators appearance was changing. Im approximating evaluators replace the male or female in reproductionnot all the time, just enough to continue themselves. My first professor in sapio told me never to Earthropomorphize xenospecies, but the first thing that leapt into my thought when I met them was that the Manka look like upright cheetahs( cheetae ?). Males and females are indistinguishable to my attentions, lean and deep-chested, while nurturers, the third largest fornication, are noticeably more muscular and squarely improved. I pride myself in that my subconscious at least selected a predatory Earth analogue, which should deter me from loosening my protect too much.

You will see from my FC report that Dar-Mankana is home to a plethora of speciessubstantially more than our own, which has yet to recover from the arrival of the Anthropocene. But a merely 2 million years ago, Dar-Mankana hosted three times more species than at present.
What could trigger such a destruction? Evidence indicates an interference in several key food webs: a polyphagous piranha which ate its road through tertiary and secondary consumers with such abandon that it likely justification its own extinction. Superpredators may be pop-science clickbait, but Dar-Mankana could represent our closest brush with one of these evolutionary bogeymen. The lingering damage is still perceptible: a relative dearth of megafauna, skewed predator-to-prey rates, insufficient biomass all around for the power that this planet creates.
Further pre-TE study is strongly recommended.
