There was that joke in the fandom about Horikoshi looking through fanfics to see what theories to make canon like the "Dabi being Touya" or "the UA traitor" (even tho most of those were just stuff hinted at in the canon before hand). Since we're doing the whole "sharing memories" bit, the one fanfic trope he can definitely throw in the manga right now is the "Spinner tells Shigaraki he used to have a tail that got cut off by bullies"

Is that a popular trope? Enough to be a thing Horikoshi would pick up on. I don't think it's anywhere near the same level as 'Dabi is the lost Todoroki son' and 'UA Traitor is _____'… but it would be interesting if Spinner Tail Trauma is made canon.

Though at this late stage, I don't know if I want it, to be honest! If it's a memory, it's angst fuel to develop characters other than Spinner - guy wouldn't even be there for it. It would a real iffy choice to show something deeply personal and traumatic that happened to Spinner, something so unjust, without Spinner there—and really only for the benefit of the contrived connection between Shigaraki and Deku.

I guess because Spinner is still unaccounted for, he can still show up so it doesn't have to be just a memory, but. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. HeroAca resolutions are less about the victims and what they're owed, and more about how cool and merciful the Heroes are for saving them. This would be that, but even more so, and infinitely worse.

Plus, it would make the heteromorph riot mini-arc even more of a mess. Not to say there's levels of suffering that can be compared, but in-universe and in story, Shoji is kinda framed as having been worst off - his parents weren't heteromorphic like him, he got bashed in the face with a rake and was heavily scarred for life after he saved a girl from drowning, then he even has to wear a mask to prevent people from thinking he's resentful for being the victim of a hate crime. All that, but he came out of it with a strong and golden moral core, ready to be a great and inspirational Hero who protects the status quo.

Shoji's positioned as being in the right: here was a kid who suffered terribly, but he still managed to overcome the odds and be a Good Person, who thought deeply about the Right Way to end discrimination and is putting it into action (which is being a model minority). So what's everyone else's excuse?

Meanwhile, Spinner's backstory is that he only gets sprayed with pesticides, succumbs to being a NEET hikikomori, and goes running off to join terrorists without a single original thought in his head. For the narrative to work, he needs to be the selfish, hypocritical loser who didn't try hard enough to overcome his hardships that were comparatively mild.

If Spinner was revealed to have a tail cut off by bullies, the bnha balance of heteromorphic good and evil would collapse. A young boy's classmates mutilates him as the apex of heteromorphobic bullying, and the victim was left to languish as a high school dropout shut-in? That's not something that can be fixed by waiting out generations (just wait for the adults to die! their mindset would go with them—oh, but the perpetrators are the new generation…) or having the victim change their behavior (there's just no excuse for chopping off a child's body part). That reveals something much darker in the fabric of society that Heroes' plucky 'work-harder! plus ultra!' optimism are unequiped to handle.

At the very least, it's something that "Stop holding a grudge" and "Sorry for not realizing earlier" (as the rando hero tells the PLF guy in Chapter 373) and "Shine bright until your torments feel ashamed" are utterly insufficient and unconvincing in resolving. Not quite as inspirational, you know?

I'm sorry anon! I know you were asking as a joke, offering a fun idea. And I do like it! I'm still not opposed to Spinner having that canon backstory if the writing around it was to suddenly radically change the story and expand it by 300 more chapters to fix everything. 1) Funny thing about LV is that deleting worlds doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. Most of the time, when you level up, the amount of EXP for next Level, would be the amount you have right now. An example: The difference between the amount of EXP of LV 20 and LV 19 is 49999 EXP, while at LV 19, you're having 50000 EXP. From this we could deduce that an entire world could be enough for LV 21 from LV 20, than two worlds and so on.

Sure, some words may contain more EXP than other, but at the end of the day it won't really do much when you get at LV 30 or higher.

2) The dialogue during their exchange also contradicts with Redacted being distracted:

Just to clarify, I am not saying Redacted shouldn't lose or something, since it is the your right as author to do whatever you desire with your story. Maybe only for me, it sounds forced, per say. Like, Redacted could have retreated or used strings on Hobo as well, or not die.

We know from older asks, that Canon Error!Sans would only see a monster if he looks at himself from a controlled's individual's eyes. How would each Error react to looking at themselves from somebody's else eyes?

Question 2:

Now, it's weird that so many Errors exist at once without trying to rip each other's neck. After all, Canon Error!Sans (all of them before they deviated to their specific timeline) killed every sans in the anti void to not let them become an error. It is a miracle that Anti is somehow alive with Hobo, Recall and Redacted going around.

i can admit as far as skz (and also kpop in general) goes that i am not the biggest noise music fan. like i dont hate it or anything and there are a lot of more noisy songs that i love, but its just not my Thing like it is some peoples' (and thats fine! peoples tastes are different! no hard feelings have been had). so a lot of skz's newer music doesnt appeal to me as much HDJFBFJJF (altho maniac was amazing like that shit slapped. no joke). i tend to like more vocal stuff, which is why levanter was It to me and also why i like vrvr's stuff so much-- even some of the "noisier" tracks have almost entirely vocal choruses and it just makes my vocal brain go brrr!!! so yeah :>

In episode 3, Sylvie says: "The universe wants to break free, so it manifests chaos. Like me being born the Goddess of Mischief. And as soon as that created a big enough detour from the Sacred Timeline, the TVA showed up.” And then in episode 5, Loki is speaking to the other Variants: “Have any of you met a woman Variant of us?” / “Sounds terrifying.”

To me, this feels like Disney wants us to see the characters as cis- and since Sylvie first says this moments before Loki falls in love with her, creating that timeline branch that allows the TVA to find them, it just put a bad taste in my mouth for the ship right off the bat.

There are other issues I have with the show, but that's the only one related to shipping.

I do agree that making our complaints and dissatisfaction known to the writers and showrunners is the only way to get change, but harassment is different. Like, I heard a rumour of people talking about going to an actor's house and harassing him there. This is just talk, but that kind of mindset is how a large number of fans seem to feel, and that gets us nowhere

That main characters have to be a little bland is a good point. They do want Loki to appeal to a wider audience... Unfortunately, it's at the expense of the audience he already had who were attached to his character from past movies. It makes it feel like the writers didn't pay attention to the other movies he was in, which is understandably disappointing. But yeah, protagonists are often bland so the audience can project the traits we want to see most onto them...

Although, we are all seeing a different version of the character already, based on the traits about him we like best, lol

Like, my interpretation is that he was already a realist who was trying to do what needed to be done? Like, in Thor 1, Loki was the antagonist at first because he wanted to stop a brash and ruthless warrior from becoming king, sure that Thor would run into battle at the drop of a hat and be a terrible ruler for Asgard. So, he did what he thought needed to be done, and delayed the coronation and made Odin unable to ignore Thor's behavior by goading him into almost starting a war.

It was reckless, there were too many parts of his plan that could and did go wrong and get people injured and killed, but he thought it needed to be done for the good of everyone. So, he's already a realist... But he takes reckless risks and doesn't have a backup plan in case things go wrong. And he's reckless like that in the show too! I would like to see him mature past that.

I get being excited over the show and seeing more Loki because of it though! Tho, I'm mostly excited for the fanworks that will come from it, lol

Okay, so for the Multiverse, I can't see a way that opening it would be a bad thing. Like, yes, we're told the consequences of a multiversal war, but if the alternative is killing an infinite number of people and controlling everyone's lives... Well, that was HYDRA's plan in CA:TWS: keep everyone under control by killing the people they couldn't control! Obviously that's a villainous move!

Since the new TVA we see has a statue of Kang himself there, showing that he's directly leading them, I wonder if a TVA prototype started as warriors in the multiverse wars? So, like, in different timelines they're used as that, subjugating other universes. Though, really, I don't have many theories because I'm not sure at all where they'll be taking the Multiverse thing. I do look forward to the next season to see that!
