Found Family?
To be a Hero PT1 PT2 PT3 PT4 PT5 PT7 MasterList
(Now... the fun truly begins ;)) OOC LOV characters, and we meet... two very Crazy in love people.... what fun
“Ugh, huff hate calling him and then making him leave” She huffed, leaning into Izuku but maintaining her eyes on the man who was now complaining through the portal… sitting there… watching the two and running his nails up and down his neck.
“It's a pleasure to finally meet you..”
(Lets continue)
Y/N sat ready, she had no idea who this man was... and she wasn't gonna let him get far if his intentions were ill. "Who... who the hell are you" She was hesitant, not knowing what his quirk was, left her taking every step cautiously. What if she spoke and he took control of her, or a word triggered some sort of bomb... too many uncertainties for her to be relaxed.
"My Name... Is Shigaraki... and I have a proposition for you" His voice was ruff and scratch, young but not quite their age. His body, littered with dismembered hands, and his ash blue hair were key vocal points to his overall look.
"A Proposition?" Izuku felt a wave of unease or something wash over him as he continued looking at the man. He subconsciously shifted closer to Y/N, seeking some sort of comfort from her but gained none as her body was tense. "W-what Kind?" Shigaraki peaked his eyebrow... to see such a large man stuttering... he couldn't help but chuckle at his awkward nature.
"A fun one! One that guarantees a voice" He slowly walked towards the two, his words getting louder as he stepped. "Join me! We need more people, this world is full of bullies and wannabe heroes, and I'm sick of them discriminating against the weak" He clasped his hands around Y/N's, she was taken aback slightly "Please! I can get you a quirk Midoriya! And we can flip this world on its head" He held her hands close to his chest, Y/N was creeped by his words... he's been watching them. She knew because he used vocabulary that they often used when discussing their own dreams.
Izuku was just as equally taken aback, staring at the man with a mixture of disbelief and interest. The offer of such a thing was heavily tempting... especially after the poor treatment the so-called prestigious school has offered.  Y/N, gently accepted Shigaraki's hands, deciding it was best to play friendly until she could gather more information. "What exactly is on the line for us?" She questioned, staring at the back of the hand on his face.
"OH, so you're interested!" He purred, "As for what you're giving up... well in a way, your normal life" Her eyes only widened slightly... she knew where this was going, and honestly she was kinda giddy. The world he spoke of was something familiar to her... but she promised to follow Izuku, so she'll fake innocents to ensure she doesn't scuew his option.  "You’re giving up loyalty to the hero, and joining me in my crusade against this broken hero society" Izuku whimpered at his words... talk about turn around.
With fake concern, Y/N looked up at the man, "A-are we killing anyone?" She asked, turning her head to really nail this innocent act.
"Oh, don't worry, We wouldn't demand you do something you couldn't handle, we can have others take care of that" His grin reached past the bounds of his hand mask, showing his teeth. She nodded, contemplating whether or not to speak to Izuku… with a soft glance she muttered under her breath.
“We’d be villains” With her body facing Shigaraki completely she couldn’t hide the grin that spread across her face as well… Finally something that was familiar to her…the thing she always dreamed of… She could practically hear Izuku’s heart beating in his chest. His mind was racing, glancing between Y/N who was still being held by the strange man, and the large school buildings that covered the area.
‘A…A chance to truly change the world’ He was so conflicted, about giving up on a dream since he was a little kid… but would it truly get him anywhere? Would his voice be loud enough to reach or would he simply be drowned out like years past? “We would have to leave?” Izuku broke the silence, wanting confirmation.
“Oh, afraid so! Can't have two of the future's greatest villains hanging around a bunch of heroes now can we?” He squeezed Y/N’s hands harshly, a friendly reminder that she was still technically at his mercy. She only nodded, following his words and acknowledging his warning. “Right… Training? That will be provided right?” She wanted to make sure that Izuku would do such a thing... Then he would be completely trained like he would have if he continued attending U.A.
“Absolutely my Dear! We will provide everything you need! A home, food, training! Anything” His voice was strained… forced to be happy,  Y/N could tell that in an instant. The way he grounded his teeth told her this was an act, a way to draw them in.
‘How impressive… I didn’t know any better I’d believe it’ She hummed. “As I’m sure you’re aware…” Her subtle warning to him that she knew he knew… “I have a quirk that relates to dark magic… my boyfriend here doesn't” She stared at the place where his eyes would be. “Will he get to pick the quirk?”
“Absolutely!Plenty of options to choose from and! Training to perfect it” He loosened his grip on her hands only slightly when he felt a small, almost film-like layer cover them. ‘Damn it… Clever girl’ He grimaced as he realized she found the source of his quirk.
‘The hands… how covenant’ She smirked, telling him in a way that she indeed figured him out. With a gentle tug, she removed her hands completely from his, moving to grasp Izukus… “Izuku, It’s your choice”, speaking gently and softly to the boy. Shigaraki’s face dropped as she pulled away, losing the power he had over her.  Y/N knew Izuku was arguing with himself… The need for revenge and recognition flowed heavily in his veins. It’s the reason his words changed from being a hero… to being heard. “Izuku” with a gentle hand, she grabbed his face, pulling him to look at her. “Mi amor… I will follow you wherever… heaven or hell, hero or villain, I’m by your side” Her words were sincere, no place for a lie to hide.
“Alright” Taking her hand off his face and placing a gentle kiss on her palm, he smiled. “If I’m doing this… then I’m doing it with you by my side”
“So the answer?”
“Yes… Let's do it” He said, chest puffed out proudly.
“EXCELLENT! I knew you two were smart!” Shigaraki clapped his hands twice. “Welcome to the League of Villains! I have a feeling we're gonna do great things together!” He moved in between the two, throwing his arm over each of their shoulders. “Let's get this going!”
“Wait” Y/N held up her hand, stopping any movements. “I have a couple conditions myself… and I suggest you listen closely” She sides eyes the blue-haired man, a murderous look behind her y/e/c. “Izuku's mother will remain 100% safe, no one will be able to touch her or her home… understand?” Her tone was dark and had no hint of light, not like either had heard from her in the past. “If something happens to her… you will face the consequences” With a soft head shake Shigaraki agreed.
“Understood… The woman will remain unharmed and protected I promise” Y/N smiled at him, her mood suddenly shifting from the tension-bound one it was moments before.
“EEE IZUKU!!” She squealed, practically shattering Shigaraki's eardrum. “Finally, we get to get back at all those who hurt us!” leaning forward to look at the boy who was still firmly under Shigis other arm.
“Yeah… Everyone” He allowed the smirk to grace his lips, his bright emerald eyes darkening at the thought of such a thing. “Everyone…”
(A few hours later…)
Y/N smiled as the same purple mist opened a portal, leading them into what appeared to be an underground bar. She smiled, excited to meet the other members… “So where’s everyone else?” She asked, her voice seeming loud in the overall silent room.  Given for the mist man cleaning glasses behind the counter ‘the portal creator’
“You’re our first! So consider yourselves founders” His voice had turned cold, and his little facade had dropped as they arrived home. “The man over there is Kurogiri… he kinda like my personal maid” He hummed, moving deeper into the bar, closely watching as the two cautiously followed him. “Kurogiri! Meet our newest members… Y/N L/N and her boyfriend Izuku Midoryia” With a wave of his hand, he gestured to the two. Both were immediately fascinated by the man, Izuku already whipping out his notebook to take down notes and Y/N turned her bubbly nature back to max.
“HI!” She giggles practically skipping to meet the man. With a soft nod of acknowledgment, she watched as his expression stayed stoic and unreadable.
“Welcome,” a simple word but comforting nonetheless for an odd reason… Shigaraki leaned against the bar, his hands now removed and his face on complete display. He couldn’t help the curiosity of it all… she was so bubbly yet, her eyes spoke as if she had killed thousands before. “Please do not fret over the need to move your items here… anything that you had packed while with Shigaraki earlier today has already been moved in” he glanced at Shigaraki, the two speaking without a single word.
“Oh, how sweet!” She giggles, a soft thank you leaving her lips shortly after. Moving to hug Izuku's arm, she nuzzled against his shoulder. “We get a forever sleepover… how exciting” With a soft hmm, Izuku agreed, placing a gentle kiss atop her head. “OH MY GAMING CONSOLE!” she suddenly jumped, smacking into Izuku's jaw with her head, causing him to let out a groan as she moved to rummage through her backpack.
“Damn.. that’s gotta sting” Shigaraki chuckled, watching as Izuku's eyes watered slightly.
“Ngh not as bad as you’d think” With a huff, Izuku moved to lean against the bar as well, watching as she was squatting, practically throwing items from her bag.
“HAHA FOUND IT!” quickly moving back to where the three men were standing, she set it gently on the countertop. “Now we can have family game nights!”
“Hm? Sure, you’re welcome to set it up in the living room for your own enjoyment” Shigi hummed, not hating the idea of having a console in the hide-out, apart from his PC of course.
“No no.. see you miss understand… All of us will play together!” Kurogiri and Shigi both raised their eyebrows at such a claim… there for less than 5 minutes and she's already making plans.
“I… uh sure, I guess we could do that,” With A shrug, the two had already agreed to her antics. With a giggle, she used her magic to transfer the console from the counter to where the TV stood. “That's… that's a handy little trick you got there” Shigaraki hummed, slightly impressed at seeing her ability up close. “Reminder to stay on your good side” He chuckled at his statement, he was joking… she wasn’t that scary… right?
“Hehe yeah! The last guy that did that almost got killed” Her voice was airy and light but it held nothing but the honest truth behind it. “Reasons why I moved here… They wanted me dead because of my quirk” It was a joke… she spoke as if such a serious thing was a simple pile of dust needing to be swept up. He was intently staring at her… trying to gauge her standing, wanting to clearly look into her eyes, but they were held still on Izuku, who had made his way over to start connecting the console.
“Sure are lovey-dovey… sickening” He mumbled, now also staring at the man, struggling to find the plug for the blue wire.
“Yeah…” Y/N hummed, a dreamy look on her face. “If anything happens to him… every single person in my sight will die” so effortlessly, so sweetly, so toxic… Those were the only words to describe the feeling that ran through his body as she spoke.
“Right… right” He muttered, gesturing for Kurogiri to grab him a glass of water. “So uh… you’re just a simple college kid wanting to be a hero?” He tried to steer the conversation away from such a threatening one.
“I know damn well you know who I am…” her voice lost the sweet tone, dropping into a harsh growle… “I’m nice, but I don’t appreciate those who try to make a fool of me…” Shifting to face him, “My father was a very dangerous man… I’m sure your ‘boss’ knows that” Ah there it was… the look of fear that crossed the men's faces… the look of being caught. “So don’t act as if you’re ignorant of my abilities…”
“R-right sweetcheeks! Noted” He could feel a cold sweat… his eyes looked to Kurogiri but he suddenly found himself struggling to catch oxygen. “Gah!”
“Fix the name” her tone threatening,
“R-right sorry!” He muffled out before taking a gasp of air in, finally being released from her hold.
“Good boy!” She giggled, “Kurogiri, a glass of water please?” She asked her voice back to the sweet tone again.
“Right,” he muttered, sliding the glass across the countertop and into her hand. Both were still awe-struck by her sudden change in nature, watching as she calmly took a sip, focusing back on Izuku… who was still struggling with the console…
‘for such a smart boy…. He can be so dumb’ Y/N giggled, watching from her pervisual as Shigiraki moved to go assist the boy. Leaving the Mist man and her alone at the bar.
Left in awkward silence and a cool tension, Y/N decided to break the stillness, “You ain't human huh?” Her voice was kind and soft, back to her usual tone he had heard from her earlier.
“You’re a lot more observant than you let on” He hummed, “But you’d be correct, I am a Nomu… created to be used as a weapon… but I was once a human” He sighed softly, not quite knowing much about his time as a human, his memory of such long lost but he simply knew that at some point he wasn’t a monster. He didn’t even know what he looked like, his age, anything… Looking for another glass to busy himself with he found a sudden tightness swaddle him, as if his free-flowing mist was being contained.
“My.. you were quite handsome” She whistled, her hand lifted as her magic swelled within it, as a soft gasp left the man, he quickly looked for a shined surface to see himself.
“I… I had forgotten what I looked like” He huffed, running his solid hand up and through his unruly hair… “you did this?” Softly smiling at the sensation of a solid being and not just mist…” incredible” whispered so softly that she hadn’t picked up on it… but his silent voice left her saddened… thinking she had angered him.
“It’s not permanent… so don’t worry about” With only a slight wave of relief washing over the man, he nodded his head, watching as the mist slowly began to consume his face once more… watching as emotion-filled eyes were replaced with his typical cold yellow ones.
“I… appreciate that” he was now facing her again, a smile on his face, but could no longer be seen, ‘how… lovely that felt’ he hummed, feeling as his mist began to float as normal, no longer concealed within her magical grip. A new comfortable silence draped over the two… the ice breaker had not just cracked it but shattered the awkward faze.
Sat watching as Shigirgki and Izuku were successful in setting up the console, already hooked up and playing a silly-looking cooking game… they were frantically talking, calling out orders and ingredients.
“It’s been so long since… he’s had someone to hang out with,” Kurogiri whispered, leaning over the counter to closely observe his boss. “Yeah… this is the happiest I've seen Izuku with another person in a long time” Y/N hummed, agreeing with the strange encounter of the two very unlikely duo.
“Seems, you made the right choice coming here… part of this family already” He chuckled softly, such terminology was something he never thought he’d use to describe a thrown-together band of misfits who wanted to kill heroes… let alone ones who had met just a few hours prior.
“You seem… like the most trustworthy person of this group… other than Izuku of course” She hummed, pulling out a stool and turning to face him, sitting delicately on the seat and dragging a sip from her water… “I feel I should tell you about myself… especially how I know about your boss…” The clink of her glass being set down, not harshly but still louder than a typical one would…his eyes completely focused on her… “I’m Listening” He hummed, informing her that she had the floor…
“I’m a wanted criminal in America… or I should say my quirk is” Crossing her legs and resting her head against her arm she settled in to tell her tale. (Cringy I know.. Shut up). “When I was 11, a rather big named hero… killed my father… right in front of me” Her tone darkened with each word…  taking a deep breath to compose herself she continued… “He was new to the rankings… and my father was a notorious villain… My dad would do just about any crime… except human trafficking… he’d actually stop that if he caught wind… or anything with women or children…But that’s beside the point” Was she trying to justify her father… maybe a little, but hey who was this mist man to judge. “My father was good to me, cared for me, loved me, protected me…” Y/N could feel the tears slowly coming, choosing to wipe them silently…keeping her gaze straight in front of her.
“I’m… sorry for such a loss at a young age… I can't imagine” he hummed, gently offering her his handkerchief. “In such a violent way too”
“Hehe yeah, my mother and father both trained me till I was seven, the quirk I have is hers actually… Each in very different ways, my mom's was to protect while my dad's methods were for killing… At that age, I took more after my mom than I wanted but I used my quirk with pride every time.. then she was killed by someone wanting revenge, and that's... when my dad was away” Using her middle finger, she ran gentle circles around the rim of the glass. “She used her magic to protect me… and in the end couldn’t protect herself… that's when my dad got his big name… the arsenal” She smirked as Kurogiri’s mist moved violently for a moment… “sounds familiar?”
“Indeed…a large supplier that the boss often spoke highly of…” His voice was strained as if the information he was giving was prohibited.
“Yeah… he died while we were at the park… pushing me on the swings… the hero found a vulnerable moment and took his chance” Her other fist tightly gripped her skirt, “rather than protecting himself… he protected me… just like she had” Y/N shifted her eyes to meet Kurogiri, watery, but at this point not caring much… “after my 12th birthday… as a gift to myself… I murdered the man…” Her face contorted into a sick smile, her K9 seemed sharper than before and her magic looked as if it was switching, staggering between horns and a halo… “In broad daylight… never showed my face but my quirk became known… so, from that point on… I became quirkless, promising to never use my quirk until I found someone to protect… like they had done for me”
“Impressive” Kurogiri's words went unheard, watching as she looked over her shoulder, eyes focusing on the green-haired boy cheering and laughing with such joy… “Is Midoriya that person?”
“He is… the one I showed my monstrous side… and loved me just the same” Y/N smiled at the memory of him gawking at her quirk for the first time, amazed by it. “I’d kill anyone for him… or even die myself but” She chuckled, moving her hair and facing him once again… “Don’t get it twisted… He’s just as insane as me” That caught Kurogiri's attention… Such a shy, innocent, quirkless boy… insane? “Bullied from a young age, pride hurt after all these years that his girlfriend is his guard dog… he wants to be the provider, the protector for once… and he knows his best chances are through you” She chuckled, “though you won’t see him kill much… Naw, torturing is more his style”
(AHH hi guys long time no update!! Ayy but I’m back… for now! SORRY EXAMS ARE HARD OKAY?? Anyways, who like Villian Izuku??? ANYONE??? Imma be real… hated Kacchan… people don’t mention how much he could have traumatized Midoriya… AND I’M HERE TO DO ITTTTT… like what if Izuku wasn’t as forgiving as he seemed… and his notebooks weren’t just about quirks???) ANYWAYS Thank you all for the support and love!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY AND REMEMBER TO EAT, DRINK, AND LOVE YOURSELF BYEEEEEE LOVE YOU ALL

Communication pt.3
Tumblr media
pt1 > pt2 > pt3
Blocky has alot on his plate, and there's no one around for him. Until, his crush woody lends an ear and tries to help him with what's going on. Only problem is...he cant give words of advice, because he can't talk.
word count: 888
author's note: HELLO IM BACK WITH MORE FANFICTION I GUESS!!1!!1! THIS TIME THE LOVELY @flipdocdm4 WAS NICE ENOUGH TO HELP ME MAKE SURE IT WASN'T SHIT SO TY BESTIE I APPRECIATE YOU 👍 ANYWAYS ENJOY I GUESS <33
Blocky tried to cover his face, he didn't want his crush to see him like a disheveled mess. God, he was so stupid, why did he have to start crying outside? Anyone could see him! Woody must think he's so sensitive, he probably hates his guts by now. He kept wiping away the tears but it was like for every one he dried fifty took it's place. They were rolling down his face, gathering and making his entire face feel wet. He felt so embarrassed, his face starting to heat up and turn red. He was starting to get dizzy, everything was just too much for the poor guy. He wanted to lift his head up to breathe but didn't want to see Woody's concerned face again. No, he'd probably left after seeing him in tears, probably thought he was too weird and left off thinking he was an idiot. So he turned his head up, only to see Woody still standing there, starting to crouch, writing something on a piece of paper.
He handed him the paper, and through blurry tears he started to read it. The paper read: "I would ask if you're okay but you clearly aren't.. want to talk about it?". Woody was looking at him, hoping that he would trust him enough to tell him what was going on. Blocky just sat there, looking at the note, rereading it to make sure he read it right. Did woody actually care about him...? No, no, he obviously pitied him, nobody cares enough about him to want to hear about his struggles. Woody didn't care, it was pity, he was sure of it. But even if it wasn't genuine, he still wanted to tell the one person that at least pretended to care about what was going on, he just couldn't keep it all to himself anymore. He was a ticking bomb about to explode, and if he hadn't yet reached that point, he was scared of what it would look like when it actually happened. He read the note one more time, just to check it wasn't a mistake what he had read. And surely enough, there it was, the pitiful sentence asking if he wanted to talk about it. He managed to choke in the sobs in his throat and said "yeah, I think I want to talk about it...". Woody sat down next to him and started writing on his notes again. "So, what's on your mind?". Blocky didn't know where to begin.
"God I don't know, where do I even start?" Blocky said, running his hands through his hair in an attempt to call himself down. Woody could tell he had alot on his mind, and he knew just how hard it was to explain it in a coherent thought. He started writting again. Blocky looked at the note,, reading it outloud. "It's okay if you need a second to think". Blocky felt himself about to cry again, why was he acting like he cared? He was just there because of pity, he didn't care about him. So then why did he feel so safe?
He felt gullible for thinking Woody cared.
Woody was just pitying him, he didn't care.
No one cared.
He didn't matter and nobody cared, nobody even liked him, he was just an idiot that people felt bad for, he didn't even know why anyone cared enough to talk to him, he doesn't matter, his feelings don't matter, everyone's better off without him, he should just-
He felt a warm batch of tears rolling down his face again. He had started going down a spiral of thoughts again, and this time he couldn't get himself out. He felt so weak letting people see him like this, vulnerable, even.
He felt more tears drop. They dripped onto the notes woody had given him minutes before, they dripped onto his hands, they were everywhere. His eyes were like big leaky faucets, no matter how hard you try the water will still come out. He couldn't stop crying, body shaking, head throbbing with all the incoherent thoughts and feelings.
He felt so lost, so alone, he felt cold and tired. He choked on his sobs, one wanting to come out before the other finished. He was a mess, and he didn't like it.
Suddenly, he felt something around him. It was Woody, hugging him and moving his hand to play with his hair in an attempt to calm him down. He handed him another note, blocky read it and just let the tears flow out. "Its gonna be okay, just let it all out. I'll be here to listen when you're ready".
He just let everything come out, the incoherent thoughts he had been having escaping his lips one after another, left unfinished as another one took it's place. He laid his head on Woody's shoulder and just let everything out. Through a mix of sobs and jumbled words, he managed to get out something out. "Thank you," he said. Woody responded with another little note, "you're welcome". He could talk about his feelings in a composed way later, for now, however, he was perfectly fine with just crying it all out and letting himself be loved. For the first time in forever, he would let himself be cared for.

Old Habits
Part 1: Black Hour  Warnings: mafia affiliated acts, cussing, death, implied mention of sex (but there is none I promise), no-mercy violence, partial psychotic break(?)  Featuring: ATEEZ   word count: 6965
You pull the tight black turtle neck down your head and quickly push your arms through the sleeves in order to push away the static your hair gains. You tuck your shirt quickly into your black army pants and tie the laces on your boots before moving over to your weapons closet you have in your room. You first pull off the newly reformed bullet proof vest and strap it onto your body. You then begin to hand pick out the explosives you were asked to bring along for your mission tonight.
You kept your promise with Jongho and stopped all the nonsense, ruckus, and raids. Jongho did, however, find use for you on his team and that’s where he placed you after you both recovered from the Black Hour incident. Since then the two of you actually wed and are now husband and wife, and both of you are content about it. You are happy Jongho finally came around after putting your differences aside. You had actually asked on your wedding night if he could your differences aside and he was taken back at your request. He had put his hatred towards you aside the day you came to get him from the prison, and he felt bad that it still seemed like he could not stand you. So he made a promise that night that he’d show just how much he appreciates and grows to love you every single day.
A knock on your door doesn’t pull you from your train of thought as you go over your list of explosives and make sure they’re ready to go and not loose enough to explode on you.
“We don’t leave for another two hours,” Jongho’s voice cuts the silence.
“I know. But I just need something to do. I feel antsy just waiting,” you respond, turning you head and softly smiling at him. You return back to your toys, and change a couple of them out as Jongho walks over to you. He wraps his arms around you and they sit lightly on your waist, and he rests his chin on your shoulder. You feel his warm lips leave a kiss on your cheek which causes you to smile sweetly but you continue to focus on your task. You continue to feel his lips trace down your chin and to your neck, causing you to slightly giggle because how ticklish you can be.
“Jongho,” you warn while trying to shoo him off.
“Yes?” He asks as if there is nothing wrong.
“Not now. I just changed,” you tell him, “besides I’m not going to be exhausted going into this. Tonight.”
“Fine,” Jongho pouts as he lets go of you. You smile sweetly at your husband, who’s currently acting like a little toddler, and give him a quick kiss to his lips before grabbing all the explosives and placing them into your one strapped backpack that’s resting on the ground. As you bend down to carefully place all the little bombs into your bag you feel Jongho’s hand smack your ass. You drop a handful of the bombs into the bag before standing up looking at the giggling boy who’s already running out the door.
“Jongho!” You holler and chase him out of the bedroom and down the hallway. You can hear his laughs echoing off the walls and you follow him down the staircase. To beat him down you sit on the railing and slide down. You jump and tackle him to the ground just past the bottom of the stairs.
“Ha!” You laugh as you have him pinned down. You hold his wrists to the floor as you basically straddle his waist to keep him pinned down.
“You sure?” Jongho asks before pushing you off and pinning you down to the floor. Instead of needing both his hands to pin your wrists to the floor he only uses one while the other lightly grabs ahold oh your chin.
“AHHHHHH! AGAIN? COME ON! YOU HAVE A ROOM!” Wooyoung screeches as he walks out of the kitchen and immediately covers his eyes.
“Oh shut up. We’re just messing around,” Jongho rolls his eyes.
“You said that last time too!” Wooyoung counters.
“Wooyoung this is OUR house,” you tell him.
“And I’m forced to live here with everyone else on the team. Nice try,” Wooyoung sasses.
“You can look! We aren’t doing anything!” Jongho tells him as he climbs off of you and helps you sit up.
“I don’t trust you,” Wooyoung answers. You grab a magazine sitting on a nearby small circular table and throw it at Wooyoung hitting him in the head.
“Hey!” Wooyoung trips back and looks at you. You shrug and push your self off the floor and brush yourself off and straighten your shirt which slightly twisted. Jongho joins you and stands up as well. Before Jongho follows Wooyoung into the conference room you smack his ass in return for earlier and he yelps.
“Ooooh. You’re in for it later,” Jongho points at you as he laughs. He smirks before disappearing into the conference room. You take a deep breath and turn to head back to the staircase to finish packing your explosives.
———
You cough as you hurry away from mission point, having completed your part of the mission. All your explosives were put to good use, although it’s not how you probably would of done it before you stopped your raids. You run down the pitch black road that’s on the more abandon side of town and head to your checkpoint stop. You breathe heavily as you continue to keep your fast pace although you’re tired, slightly cut, and bruised from the slight ambush you had when everybody first arrived. You push yourself to your checkpoint and slow yourself to a jog then a walk as you approach the abandon orphanage. You see bright car headlights heading in your direction and you hurry down the side of a building and flatten yourself against the wall and wait for the car to pass… but it doesn’t.
You poke your head out of the side and watch as the car sits in front of the orphanage, the car lights on low, so you’re able to see. You watch as someone gets out of the car, heads to the back, pull something out, and carry it possibly to the door step of the orphanage, but your view is slightly restricted. You can’t see much beyond the front steps to the building.
But why would someone bring something to an abandon building? Unless your team was wrong about it being abandoned? You watch as the person returns to their car and quickly gets in and turns their bright lights back on and you pull yourself behind the wall again and you hear the car speed down the street and you watch it pass by you. You count to ten before poking your head out. You cautiously walk up to your checkpoint and your head perks up when you hear crying… well almost screaming. But you recognized it as a child’s. You hurry up the steps but cautiously to not scare the kid.
But you’re almost taken aback when you see more of an infant laying on the old worn down mat wrapped loosely in a thin blanket. You slightly begin to panic but you crouch down in front of the baby and slowly pick it up as you shush it. You try to wrap it a little better in the blanket without thrashing it around, and you continue to hush the baby. You stand up and even try to lightly bounce the baby which calms it’s cries a little. You look down at the little infant in your arms as it cries and make the assumptions it’s got to at least be a year old or just over, but you are no doctor to confirm.
After waiting the hour your told to, the baby has fallen asleep from it’s own exhaustion. You sit on the stairs looking down at the baby unsure what you should do with it. The person who brought it here seemed to no longer want it. But it could of been kidnapped and its’ parents could be worried sick for it. You take another deep sigh but your attention is grabbed by a van pulling up to the house. You stand up and cautiously walk to the car. You give a notion to have someone open the door and you step in and take a seat immediately ‘shhhing’ everyone.
“Is that a baby?” Yoesang gasps.
“Yes. I watched someone abandon it as I approached the checkpoint,” you whisper, “I couldn’t just leave it there.”
“Wait till Jongho see’s this,” Yeosang nervously tells you.
“I’m going to look into it being possibly kidnapped or anything related because I don’t think you keep a baby this long and then just abandon it for dead. That orphanage was deserted,” you explain to him. You look down at the baby and watch it as it sleeps peacefully.
“Will you keep a look out on missing babies for me?” You ask Yeosang who nods his head. Yeosang even peeks over your shoulder, watching the baby sleep. San even leans forward and over the seat to look at the baby as well.
“What if this baby isn’t missing and someone did actually abandon it?” San asks quietly.
You sigh, “I don’t know. I mean…. I-“
“We know you can’t and would love to keep it,” Yeosang answers for you knowing well that you can’t have kids of your own. You sigh again and you look out the window, familiar scenery coming into view.
“I’ll head in first and tell everyone to shut the hell up,” San tells you as he hops out of the back of the van when it comes to a stop in front of the mansion. You watch him head inside and you wait with Yeosang for a minute before heading in. Yeosang opens the door and you walk in and you watch as the rest of the team’s eyes practically fall out of their eye sockets, especially Jongho’s.
“Where did you find that?” Jongho points to the baby.
“Someone abandoned it at my checkpoint just before I got there. I saw everything. I couldn’t leave it there,” you tell him, “I asked Yeosang to keep an eye out for missing babies just incase.”
“Y/N, we need to take it somewhere where someone can actually take care of it,” Jongho tells you with sincerity in his voice as he already knows that you’ll want to keep it if it’s not missing.
“Jongho,” you voice breaks as you look at the baby then at him tears in your eyes, “you know there is nothing more I want in the world, and I can’t physically do it.” Jongho inhales a sharp breath in remembering when you had been kidnapped as young teen and were tortured to the point where people had damaged several of your organs and you lost both your ovaries due to it. You had also lost one kidney and almost even lost your liver but that was barely saved.
You watch as Jongho can’t find a thought out response to give you and even trips as he begins to start several sentences, and you storm off towards your room, the baby cradled in your arms. You rest the baby on the bed and quickly change out of your work attire and into a hoodie and shorts. You pick the baby once again and slowly climb into your side of the bed and prop your pillows up and rest the child on your chest.
“You’re a pretty heavy sleeper,” you whisper as your lightly brush some of the hair on the top of its head. You feel a couple of hot tears rush down your face and you take a shaky breath in before exhaling.
“He doesn’t understand,” you whisper to yourself.
“I do, Y/N,” Jongho quietly states hearing you as he enters the room, standing just at the door.
“You sure?” You slightly snap, “because it doesn’t seem like that.” Jongho almost winces at your harsh tone and the look in his eyes drop even more.
“Y/N,” Jongho starts.
“I don’t want to hear it, Jongho,” you tell him and you wipe more tears that fall from your eyes, “at least not tonight.”
“Okay,” Jongho quietly whispers. You look down at the baby and you hear the door close. You let more tears fall down your cheeks and just allow them to this time. You eventually shift the baby into the space next to you and lay down fully. You turn your body to face the baby and fall asleep.
———
You slightly stir in your sleep before eventually waking yourself up. You open your eyes and slightly push your upper body off the mattress and run your left hand through your messy and tangled hair to get it out of your face. You turn too look at the other side of the bed and your heart drops, and you begin to panic as the baby isn’t laying on the bed next to you. You scramble and fall out of your bed with a out thud and begin scrambling around the entire room before running outside. You know exactly who you were heading to, and you stormed your way.
“Jongho!” You scream. You run down the stairs and hurry into his office but it’s empty. You close the door and you turn around and almost bump into Yeosang.
“Where. Is. He,” you demand from the quiet boy. Yeosang’s eyes widen in fear and he points towards the kitchen. You brush past Yeosang and storm into the kitchen and Yeosang tries to call out for your name.
“JONG-“ you stop yourself when you watch Jongho turn to face you, the baby in his arms as he stands in the middle of a messy kitchen.
“Y/N,” Yeosang calls your name and you turn to him slightly still distressed, “there are currently no reports of missing babies or children that match him.” He hands you the missing children’s papers he found and you look over them.
“I would like a small team on this please. Find these kids,” you tell him as you hand him back the four papers. He nods his head and exits the kitchen. You then turn back to Jongho and look at him.
“Why in the hell would you give me a scare like that?” You demand from him.
“I didn’t want him waking you up. You need your sleep,” Jongho tells you as he slowly moves about the kitchen while holding the baby.
“Let me see him,” you pout. Jongho lightly laughs and hands him over. You carefully take him and hold him gently in your arms as he slightly sits on your hip.
“Hi,” you whisper to him. The baby stares back at you, his brown eyes seem even lighter than yesterday.
“I’m starting to wonder if you love that baby more than me,” Jongho states as he continues to clean up the mess in the kitchen.
“Oh, stop. You’re just jealous,” you tease as you shift the little human in your arms.
“I totally am,” Jongho sarcastically responds. You walk over to him and hit him in the arm and pick up something to eat from one of the bowls on the counter.
“Hey!” Jongho playfully snaps and you shrug your shoulders smiling cheekily.
“Yes?” You innocently ask. Jongho gives you a “your kidding, right” face before lightly laughing and running up to you to kiss you.
“You guys are so gross,” Wooyoung calls from the kitchen table. The two of you stop and turn towards the purple haired boy who’s trying to eat his food in an awkward space.
“How long have you been there?” Jongho asks.
“When am I not in the kitchen?” Wooyoung counters as he takes another bite of his pop tart.
“You need to go do something with San or bully Seonghwa,” you tell him.
“I’ll do that later,” Wooyoung brushes you off. You roll your eyes and turn on your heels and head out of the kitchen with Jongho on your tail.
“What does your day look like?” You ask Jongho as you head into your living room and take a seat on the floor, setting the baby down who instantly begins crawling off.
“I’ve got a few things to take care of that have to do with last night. After San says he needs help with something. I still don’t know what but I’m probably not going to like it,” Jongho sighs. You nod your head and turn your head to check on the infant who’s now running away.
“Hey!” You call and chase after the little baby who begins laughing when he hears you. You pick him up and swing him around to run back towards where you were sitting. The baby instantly starts running off giggling again.
“I assume you’ll be busy with him today?” Jongho asks smiling as he watches the baby run towards him. You nod your head and take a seat on the couch. The baby watches you and tries his best to try climbing the couch. Jongho laughs helping him up and giving you one last kiss before leaving towards his office.
“Well hello,” you say brightly at the little infant who plops to a sitting position on the couch after realizing the couch is a softer surface, “now what are we going to name you?”
———
“Are you sure we need all of this?” Jongho asks looking at everything San had bought and stored in the garage.
“Jongho. I’m pretty sure that if this baby was kidnapped, then it would of been reported missing by now,” San tells him. Jongho sighs and nods his head.
“Okay. You boys have this all set up I’ll keep Y/N busy. But you do know you have like an hour because she catches on to things quickly,” Jongho tells him.
“Already ahead of you. Everyone already knows what they are doing,” San informs. Jongho pats him on the back before heading inside the house to find you.
“Oh Y/N,” Jongho calls in a sugary voice.
“Okay, you clearly want something that I’m not going to willingly give,” you sigh as you walk out of your studio room, the baby sitting on your hip. Jongho’s mouth drops in shock to your response and his eyebrows even slightly raise.
“What mak- never mind,” Jongho starts, “I was going to find you and see if you would like to go buy some clothes for the baby. He’s been in that since last night.” You instantly light up and agree.
“Hold him while I go put actual clothes on. I can not go out in my pjs,” you tell him before sprinting upstairs to change. Jongho slightly begins to bounce the baby he’s holding to keep it entertained and even talks to it quietly.
“You have a good day? Yeah?” He asks as the boy reaches out for Jongho’s hand. Jongho hears a couple of stifled laughs and turns around to find Wooyoung and San carrying in a large box while trying not to laugh at their “oh so fearsome leader”.
“You better move before I split your heads like apples,” Jongho warns and the boy’s’ eyes widen and they quickly leave the room. You finally return in a new set of clothes and even brought one of your too small and old cardigans.
“Hand me Minjoon,” you tell Jongho.
“Minjoon? You decided a name?” Jongho asks as he hands him over.
“Yeah. I like it. He’ll grow into it,” you tell him as you brightly smile at Minjoon. You manage to place him in the cardigan, although it’s just more wrapped around him if anything. You begin to head towards the garage but Jongho pulls you to walk out the front door with him. You instantly find it a little odd that he wants to go out the front door.
“I know you’re hiding something. But I’ll just let it play out,” you tell him as he opens the front door.
“This has to be your new record,” Jongho laughs and the two of you head to a car already waiting in the horseshoe driveway. Jongho opens the back door for you and helps you in before climbing in himself. Jongho gives the driver the location and the car shifts into drive.
“Have you told Chaeyoung yet?” Jongho asks, knowing that you tell your best friend everything.
“Yeah. She actually came over a little while ago on her free time. It was a short visit but you know she’s busy running things internationally,” you answer him.
“Do you want me to pull her from that position to keep her closer?” Jongho offers.
“No, no, no, no. She loves what she’s doing and she likes being busy,” you decline immediately. Jongho nods his head and looks out the windshield window. Minjoon makes little noises which captures your attention and you let him grab onto a couple of your fingers.
Jongho helps you out of the car when it pulls up to the first baby clothing store he could think of that you might like… well San gave him a list and this place was written first, so here you are. He follows you inside and the two of you begin looking for clothes.
“We are not putting him in a leather jacket,” you tell Jongho for the fourth time as he’s already shown you ten leather jackets.
“Oh come on,” Jongho whines.
“It is the middle of summer! He’ll melt!” You tell him as you turn to face another rack of clothes. Jongho audibly huffs and looks down at the three leather jackets in his hand.
“I don’t know why she’ll telling me no,” Jongho mumbles, “I’m the one buying it all.” He then goes to face you again, “Y/N. We can get him two and he can wear them when the heat co- Y/N?” Jongho looks at the spot you were standing in not even ten seconds ago, but you’re no longer there. Or anywhere in the near by area. Jongho turns on his heels and looks in every direction.
“Y/N?” Jongho calls out but there is no response. As he tries to decide on which way to head to begin looking for her, he hears a scream coming from an isle not to far from him. Out of instinct he heads that way but only to find you knocked out, some blood coming out of a cut from your head.
“Y/N!” Jongho yells and pushes past everyone. He looks over your face and quickly checks your pulse, then he realizes.
“Where’s Minjoon?” He quickly looks up and around, “has anyone seen a baby boy? Black hair. Big light brown eyes. My son isn’t here.” A couple people in the small crowd begin checking other isles and the areas around. Jongho returns to trying to wake you up.
“Come on Y/N,” he begs, a chill running down his back which is rare. Your eyes slowly begin to open, and you blink a few times while slowly beginning to move around.
“Wha-“
“You’re okay. You got hit,” Jongho whispers helping you sit up, “do you know who hit you?”
“I’m not sure. I need a minute,” you tell him. You raise you hand to your head but wince as your hand brushes against the cut on your forehead.
“It’s just a cut. Come on. We need to get back,” Jongho whispers and helps you fully up. You, still in a daze, nod your head and let him guide you outside and to your car. Once the two of you are in the car and it’s pulling out onto the highway, realization hits you real quick.
“Where’s Minjoon?” You ask looking around the car before stopping on Jongho who looks like he might just fear for his life.
“The person who hit you most likely took him,” Jongho cautiously tells you. You feel your body tremble in horror. Your heart shatters and falls, and your emotions quickly flood you. Before you could even do anything Jongho is on the phone.
“I need you to find the security footage for that, Hongjoong. I want it before we are home. I also want the assailant identified,” Jongho tells him, “because we all know what’s going to happen.” You know exactly what Jongho’s talking about. It’s the scariest thing your city has ever seen. The scariest thing Jongho and the rest of his team have ever seen, and they only ever saw it once.
And that’s when Y/N cracks. Loses all sanity and goes on a rampage.
You’ve always threatened people if they are to ever touch anyone you love they would die horrifically. Nobody ever tested that till the Black Hour incident last year. There were a few other occasions where you got close to breaking and even severally injured people so others could learn their lesson.
But you know Jongho is right. You’re going to break as soon as you get your eyes on a target. It’s going to be game over, and no one is capable of stopping you.
“Yeah,” Jongho sighs, “we’ll figure something out. Most likely not. We’ll be going into this blind. Be ready.” Jongho ends his call with Hongjoong, and the two of you wait in a tense silence the rest of the way back to the house. Your emotions growing with your anger and Jongho can sense the change in atmosphere. So when the two of you arrive to the house he let’s you storm inside first. Jongho quickly following after you.
All the boys stand ready to go whenever, and Hongjoong is already holding out a couple pieces of paper. His hands slightly shaking because of his impending fear you might just sucker punch him if you’re mad enough. You take the papers from him instantly and look over them. The first paper a clear picture of a location- probably where this person is. When you pull out the second piece of paper from behind the first you feel everything just drop. The easily recognizable picture of the prison president’s face and a background check on the second piece of paper.
“He’s not dead,” you state, “I watched them bury him. I saw the autopsy report. I wanted to make sure!” You’re fuming at this point and everyone has taken at least 3 steps away from you but Wooyoung- who’s still within two feet of you which is ballsy. You swing your fist and put it through the wall right next to Wooyoung’s head, but he doesn’t flinch.
“Well are we going?” Wooyoung asks, face and voice unwavering from the pervious moment.
“Hell yeah we are. You got 30 seconds boys to be on your bikes,” you tell them all before storming your way to your special garage in the house. You grab your secret emergency bag not even Jongho knows about, your bullet proof jacket, and motorbike helmet. You put all three on before opening your garage already sitting on your bike ready to race as soon as the garage opens. You look down at the location, and map it out quickly in your head.
Just as the garage door is just open enough you zoom out of the room, race down the driveway, and onto the street in record speed. You soon have eight other motorbikes following in suit, and they are having no trouble keeping up with you. You take streets that you know will be closer to empty but even still you weave in and out of cars. You block out all noise and focus on when you need to turn and how much time you have left. In your head you have this mental clock and if you reach zero before your destination, it’s not going to be good wherever you are. Because half the city can go down along with this location, you’re got no problem making that happen if it means you got to make a statement to everyone. Because clearly not everyone knows your memo.
You swing your bike to a quick halt and jump off. You pull your helmet and carry it with you as you calmly approach one of the many abandoned buildings on the more “quiet” side of town.
“She’s way too calm,” San states.
“Nobody gets to laugh if I actually shit myself,” Mingi states as he pulls his helmet off his head.
“This might just be worse than last time,” Jongho looks over at them as he climbs off his bike, taking his first few steps towards the building the rest of the seven boys in tow.
“Yeah, how did you survive last time? We watched that place go down,” Yeosang says. Jongho doesn’t answer as he stops, ten feet from you. The other stop behind Jongho and they all watch as you just stare at the door. You wait, inhaling and exhaling. Your mental clock finally counting down to zero. You look up and with a devilish smile on your face you turn around. Your smile alone terrifies all the boys.
“Lock and load ‘em boys,” you cheerfully state before turning on your heels. You lift up your foot and with a ear pitching scream you kick in the wooden door, taking it completely off it’s hinges and knocking the two men hiding behind it. You reach into your bag, pulling out a single tear gas bomb and throw it inside. You listen to it beep before it not only releasing tear gas but exploding immediately after sending the first room into a panic.
Now it’s time to play.
You calmly walk in pulling out your two hand guns, and without a care head into the first room. Parts are in flames, fresh littered bodies in random areas, blood splatters, and some still alive but severely injured. The eight boys follow in behind you checking their surroundings- you would think they looked like those agents from FBI shows with they way they’re moving around the room. Something you 1) do not care for 2) do not have time for. You take a look at the three different directions you can take, all potentially leading somewhere, and possibly leading you the opposite way you’re wanting to go.
“Mics on,” you tell the boys as you pull out your emergency ear com and stick it into your ear. Everyone divides up evenly into groups without discussion. Seonghwa, San, and Mingi take the door the furthest from where you all originally entered from. Yeosang, Yunho, and Hongjoong take the hallway on the opposite wall to the first door chosen. Finally Wooyoung, Jongho, and you take the door right next to the entrance point. You can feel your body itching to just go on a rampage, and you normally would but you don’t know the layout of the building. You’re going in blind… you all are.
You take the lead and walk into the room, Wooyoung and Jongho behind you both with automatics in their hands ready to fire at any given second. The room isn’t very big, possibly a conference room, but there is another exit door which catches your eye at first, but the quiet hushes are what catch you second. In a heartbeat you turn around and tackle Jongho and Wooyoung to the floor before bullets fly through the frosted glass, sending piecing flying with the bullets. You reach into you back and pull out a small little box. You lift the lid open and throw it through a corner part of the window that remains untouched so no bullet can strike it before it lands. On impact the little box detonates and sends anybody within a seven foot radius flying, killing all within three and a half feet easily. You push yourself off the floor and slouch your body ridiculously so you’re still below the windows incase there is still anyone standing. You push open the bullet infested door and your guns click, ready to fire. But again, the room just looks similar to the first one you destroyed. You loudly huff in frustration and walk through the room looking for any other way out.
“Y/N,” Wooyoung calls. You turn on your heels and Wooyoung nods his head to a large metal plate leaning up against the wall. Jongho and him quickly push it aside, revealing a door that could potentially lead them where they need to go… or it could be a dead end. You wait for Wooyoung to pull the door open Jongho and you ready to fire but you instead are presented with a staircase leading to a second level. You immediately take the lead and rush up the stairs with no idea what could be waiting. At the top you move to one side of the staircase trying to view what’s in front of you the best you can without poking your head out, and you do the same with the other side. You walk out into the open but immediately put your guns up, pointing at the person to your right when you hear their guns load and click.
“I about blew your head off,” you growl at San. San, Seonghwa, and Mingi immediately lower their weapons in relief.
“Yeosang? Where are you guys?” You ask into your coms as a majority of everyone has managed to find their way to the second floor.
“In the basement,” Yeosang answers.
“Everyone else is on the second floor. Don’t rush up if you haven’t cleared everything,” you tell him.
“Got it,” Yeosang answers before it’s all silent again.
“We’ve already cleared everything behind us up to this point,” Seonghwa explains nodding his head backwards to indicate the area they searched. You nod you head and lead now five boys to your left as you walk through the second rest of the second floor. Room by room you clear and there is no sign of anyone.
“We’ve had to miss something,” Jongho states as you guys search the last couple of rooms. You mentally agree with him, and look up and down the small hallway.
“Wooyoung, Soenghwa, and I will double back to make sure we didn’t miss anything from the other side,” San suggests before the three quickly move out. You on the other hand have been starring at an awkward space of wall near the end of the hallway next to the emergency exit point.
“Y/N? What are you thinking?” Jongho asks, noticing your concentration on a blank wall. Instead of answering you walk down the rest of the hallway and run your hand over the wall. You then lightly knock on the wall next to the closest door and every few inches you move closer to the emergency exit sign, still lightly knocking. Then you caught it, a hollow sound. You smile and look around you quickly. You smile even wider when you find a fire extinguisher. You pull it off the wall and adjust it in your hands before slamming it into the wall creating a large hole. You continue to smash holes until you can easily pull away pieces with your hand. You walk through the small hole and you just get excited. You find the jackpot. Your target.
“Well, well, Y/N,” the man sadistically smiles sitting in a chair next to a crib, “didn’t expect you to take this long.” You tilt your head to the side and smile sweetly. But in a swift motion your pull your gun out from it’s harness and shoot the president square blank in the head. You even, for fun, put a couple… okay, maybe a dozen more bullets into his body.
“Y/N!” Jongho yells, “I think that’s enough.” You turn and look at your husband who reaches out for your gun.
“I. Want. To. Be. Sure,” you growl. Despite your anger you allow Jongho to take the gun from your hand. Jongho then walks over to the crib, you quickly following him, but your heart breaks when you notice it empty. Only a note in there.
“Ha. You killed me and don’t know where you precious little bundle of joy is. You’ll never find him,” You read. With your anger easily refueled you pull out your other gun and empty the magazine into the president’s dead body, leaving him almost unrecognizable. This time Jongho doesn’t stop you.
“We’re going to find him. Yeosang, Hongjoong, and Yunho are still checking the basement,” Jongho tells you after your moment, “let’s go join them.” You take a deep breath and nod your head. You turn and Mingi is the first to head out of the room, you second, and Jongho closely behind you.
“Have you guys found anything?” You ask, speaking into your coms.
“We’re checking the last co- oh, Yunho found something,” Yeosang stops mid sentence.
“We’re coming to join you. We found the president, but no Minjoon,” you explain. Wooyoung, San, and Seonghwa quickly rejoin you guys by the staircase and your clothes alone tell them what had happened. Mingi’s pale skin also told them what happened, the poor giant won’t sleep for weeks probably. You all head down the staircase and begin making your way to the route in which Yeosang, Yunho, and Hongjoong took.
“Y/N!” Yunho exclaims and you stop as the rest of you reach the top of the basement staircase, ready to descend, “we found him.” With not only the pick up of you heartbeat, you pick up your pace and practically jump down the stairs you begin calling for Yunho, Yeosang, and Hongjoong. Yeosang greets you guys halfway as he responds to your calls.
“Where is he?” You ask, but Yeosang grabs you.
“He’s breathing. He’s alive,” Yeosang tells you.
“But?” Your voice falls flat.
“He’s attached to a bomb,” Yeosang tells you, “the ones that will go off if they can’t feel a heartbeat anymore. So we can’t detach it or cut a wire without it exploding on him.” You take a deep breath in and hold it.
“But,” you repeat, your voice becoming vulnerable.
“Hongjoong has started to work on it,” Yeosang explains then looks at Mingi, “he needs you.” Mingi pushes by and jogs down the rest of the hallway towards Yunho and Hongjoong. You begin to feel yourself hitting your wall. Your sanity break finally calming because you got what you wanted… well almost. You still muster all the energy you have left and you try to pull from Yeosang’s grip but it’s too strong.
“Please,” you beg quietly. Yeosang gives you a slight look of pity but holds his ground. He shakes his and that’s when you give up. Your mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted, and you just fall to the floor. You lean yourself up against a wall and stare at the ceiling at a bright light- it not only damaging your eyes but keeping you awake. You begin the most dreadful part of the day: waiting. Waiting for something that might never come back.
“Almost!” You hear Mingi yell out in frustration, which just hurts you more. Hot tears stream down your face, and Jongho crouches in front of you. He reaches out to wipe them from your face and you notice he’s got tears of his own.
“Why can’t we ever have one nice thing?” you ask him, your voice just above a whisper. The tone of your voice isn’t what breaks Jongho’s heart, but the question. He knows neither of you chose the lives you live. You never got anything easy, and the one time you do it’s potentially going to be taken from you. You begin to feel the numbness of you body sink in, and it’s only a matter of minutes before your body shuts down and passes out, but you won’t allow it.
Your head begins to pound and you raise your hand to the cut on your head you still haven’t tended to. Which is probably a reason why this headache feels so strong.
“Did they get it?” Jongho asks, immediately standing up as he hears cheers coming from down the hallway. You’re barely hanging onto staying conscious and watch and Jongho springs down the hallway and disappear into a room. Not even ten seconds later four boys are booking it out of the room.
“We gotta go!” Hongjoong yells, “this whole place gonna blow.” Th other boys begin making their way to the staircase to get out of the basement. Jongho quickly picks you up and carries you towards the staircase.
“Minjoon?” You ask quietly.
“Yunho’s got him,” Jongho tells you as he carefully carries you up the stairs, “he’s sleeping he was slightly drugged himself. But he’ll be okay.” You huff in relief and smile in victory. Everyone manages to get out of the building but that doesn’t stop you guys from getting far away. You guys pass the few next building before stopping. Jongho sets you down in order to catch his breath. That’s when the ground violently shakes, the bomb in the basement detonating. Following you hear potentially a majority, if not all, of the building beginning to collapse.
“I’ll call someone to pick us up,” San says in-between breaths before pulling out his phone. You watch lazily as Yunho hands something off to Jongho who then joins you sitting on the ground. You look over into his arms and see Minjoon peacefully sleeping away. Jongho shifts Minjoon to lay into one arm and wraps his other around you.
“We can have one nice thing,” Jongho whispers to you.

Senpai taglist: @trafalgar-temptress @queensynderella @kingtamakimurder @birds-have-teeth Thank you for the support 💖🥺💖Sending lots of love and good vibes to all of you💖💖💖
The romantic tension between Sero and yourself was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The quick glances you shared in class and during training was almost painful to the other teens in your vicinity. You were pining after each other PAINFULLY. But neither of you had the guts to admit it to another.
You were both blind to the others affections and love though. You were the sweetest girl in class 1-A, with a strong quirk and an even greater sense of humor. How could he not fall for you? You were easily the cutest girl in the class, with kind (e/c) eyes and a laugh that made his heart go into overdrive. You were kind and sweet to everyone, even that blonde time bomb that goes by the name of Bakugo. You even had a little patience with that nasty grape rat. He was stunned by your capacity to be sweet.
He was convinced that you didn’t like him, he told himself that he was nothing special only with a plain quirk and plain face. But you couldn’t have disagreed more. His deep onyx eyes soothed you and held so much emotion that you could stare at them for an eternity. The elbows that he hated added to him being so unique. His quirk being useful in hero work and rescue. He was handsome too, his sharp jawline and high cheekbones had you blushing. He wasn’t handsome in a princely way that many girls dreamed of, but in a real life way that made your heart stutter and had your palms sweating a bit.
You were good friends with everyone in the class, but you found your home with the bakusquad. Mostly because that’s where your crush resided most of the time. You loved the squad obviously, Mina being your new sister, Denki being your friend that encouraged your own chaotic behavior, and you even trained with Katsuki a few days out of the week. The love you had for Hanta was different though.
His love started for you when you were just good friends. He heard your laugh from across the classroom one morning and thought it was the most magical sound in the world. The insane cackle that came from your mouth made him break out into a wide grin while his eyes followed where the sound was coming from. He followed it to you. Your eyes scrunched up and your cute cheeks tinted pink from how lard you were laughing. He fell in love at first sight and from then on he made it his job to make you laugh.
It started with sly comments about his other classmates. “I know they call him an angry pomeranian, but the muzzle really seals the deal doesn’t it?” He said casually said to you as the sports festival awarding ceremony was happening. You had bite your lip to keep yourself quiet before you burst out into laughter. He heard the quiet giggles that escaped and he smiled brightly at the sound.
He then started to tell you jokes because the sound of your laughter made his day so much brighter. First it started as a group thing, just telling jokes to the whole squad. Mina had brought you to the group first because the two of you got along so well. He was more than happy to have you there.
“Did you hear about the two psychiatrists who passed each other on a walk? One said to the other, ‘You’re fine, how am I?’” The dark hair boy said amusingly. You laughed, the sound zeroing on his ears among the other squads laughter. The light blush on your face showed up as your eyes crinkled. He blushed himself as he was laughing but didn’t try to rid of it.
Weeks of laughing at his jokes continued and you found yourself gravitating toward the tape master, not just for a laugh but because you thought he was a great person. You hung out in each other’s rooms, watching bad horror movies and laughing at dumb people. Even tutoring him regularly when it came to English.
He was great company to you and you found yourself thinking about him more often. Like how handsome his face was as you took quick glances at him during class or how he was such a good sport even when you both were studying together. Yeah he wasn’t the most book smart but he definitely knew how to light up a room and make everything feel less exhausting.
The sleeping beast called a crush didn’t wake up and thrash around the cage of your heart until you were sparring with him during class. You had a strong quirk called Angel, with the stereotypical small white angel wings that grew exponentially before flying around and using gold light beams from your hands to shoot at opponents. The sword and shield seemingly tattooed on your forearm could be pulled out and used during closer combat.
As soon as Aizawa called the start of the match, you were wrapped up in his tape as he pulled you closer to him. The smug smirk on his face was present as he leaned so close you noses were touching. His voice dropped a few octaves before he spoke as he locked eyes with you. His heart was racing just being so close to you, he wondered what else what he would do while you’re tied up by him.
“C’mon angel, you know you’ve always wanted to be tied up by my tape. So why don’t you be a good girl and let me take the win, yeah?” His dirty thoughts broke through a bit. He glanced at your lips briefly. A blush clawed it way on your face as you growled. You focused the heat in your body into light as he spoke, ignoring your own racing heart and clearing your mind.
You released this energy as soon as he finished. Your body flashing a bright gold as you melted the tape around you. He was stunned for a moment because of the flash and you took that moment to pull out your sword as a precautionary before you could knock him out of bounds with a swift kick to the chest. He groaned as soon as he hit the pavement. He was winded from the kick and trying to get his breathing under control.
You released a breath you didn’t know you were holding. The sleeping beast now wildly thrashing the cage of your heart and flipping everything upside down. The heat on your face was so hot that you thought you would melt the handle of your sword you were gripping tightly. Your brain was fuzzy and your blood was boiling in a different way. His words drove you mad and he knew it. Aizawa’s smooth voice shook you out of your daze.
“Good job (L/N), but make sure not to get distracted by petty words alright?” Aizawa spoke lazily as he wrote down notes on the fight. He walked over to Sero who was still on the ground and reached a hand out to help him stand up. (We love dadzawa on this blog)
Sero took it and tuned out his teacher as he focused on you. You stood with Mina, who was wildly flailing around and yelling at you to do something. You still had on the bright pink blush on your face but now it crept up to your ears. He smirked at the fact as the teacher walked away and called the next match, too tired to deal with this bull. (Bruh same)
The next few days were normal with Sero except a blush that seemed permanent on your cute face. Of course he noticed, he was walking around his a smug smirk that rivaled Bakugou’s but a lot less noticeable. You two were glancing at each other more and more in class and locking eyes a few times. Neither of you said anything about it.
You couldn’t find the courage to confess to Hanta. Mina was pushing both of you to confess to each other. Her and Denki even tried to lock you two in a room together but were ultimately disappointed when nothing happened and you both brushed it off. Her lil romantic heart was screaming in frustration because nothing was happening even though it was so OBVIOUS.
You were walking home from school after being locked in the room with the handsome boy. You walked with Sero until you went your separate ways about halfway through, both of you laughing at each other’s jokes and full of smiles. You both said your goodbyes and went your ways. You smiled at the time you had alone with him as you pulled out your phone and ear buds.
Your (fav band) was playing into the small speakers as you walked home. It was a little later than normal so you tried to make your way home faster. You passed by an alley on your way home. The one you passed by everyday. No big deal right?
An arm suddenly shot out of the dark alley as it wrapped around your waist and a hand covered your mouth. Your back was to their chest as you felt the dread creeping in. A hot breath was next to your ear as they spoke. “Ohhhh an angel, I’ve always wanted to kill a cute angel like you” a raspy and slurred voice breathed.
You tried to make your wings grow and your body heat up to get this gross weirdo to let you go. The fear kicking in as you struggled against the man. His boozed soaked stench of his mouth making you inwardly shiver in disgust. Your heart was beating wildly in pure terror of what could happen next. You needed to get out of here or die while trying.
“You can try and burn me all you want angel but I’m fireproof” the man slurred as the hand that held your mouth turned into sharp claws, scratching deep cuts on your cheek. Tears stung your eyes as you tried not to whimper. The blood from your cheek getting all over his fingers and all over your school uniform.
You struggled against him once again. The arm that was around your thin waist was held in front of you and was now on fire. Your stopped struggling to focus your energy into light to blind him. He chuckled at your stillness thinking you gave in. You were terrified but you kept yourself from giving in.
“Keep still angel, and I won’t have to burn those pretty wings of yours.” He taunted. Your eyebrows furrowed in disgust as you concentrated once again. You put most of your energy into making light as he took a deep sniff of your hair. You wanted to hurl but you concentrated.
You released all your energy at once, blasting the creep back with bright gold light as you ran out of the alleyway and into the nearest establishment. Soon you felt the searing hot pain of your right wing, you let out a loud scream as you ran. You pressed your hand into your cheek to try to stop the bleeding. The tears on your face flowing out and stinging your gashes. You ran as far away from the alley as you could until you found a cafe.
In your haze you ran right into someone. The blood on your hand and cheek smearing all over their black sweater. The adrenaline kept you standing as your heart raced. You looked up and looked to see none other than Mr. Aizawa looking at you in pure shock. You felt the adrenaline wear off as the pain set in. You let out a pained gasp as you were looking up at him. “Please help me” your small and panicked voice managed to get out as you passed out.
He was shocked to say the least but he caught you by your unoccupied arm and carried you princess style to his car. He sped off to the hospital, definitely breaking a few laws. He kept a clean handkerchief pressed to your cheek as he drove, you were still bleeding. The smell of singed feathers and skin filled his nose as he sped to the nearest clinic.
He got you checked in as he talked to police. He was also the one who made the call to your parents. They were out of the country so they gave him permission to take care of you. Once he ended the call with your parents, he leaned back into the chair and rubbed his dry eyes. He felt so tired, even more tired than usual. But it wasn’t your fault that you got attacked.
Mr. Aizawa liked you. You were a good student and kind to all the teachers. Not too loud and always turning in your homework on time. You even politely asked questions when you did have them. He didn’t play favorites but compared to the rest of the class you were well, an angel. He was worried about you of course! You were a sweet girl, a good student, and a good sport.
He sighed at the thought of telling his class that you were in the hospital. ‘That headache will be for another day’ he thought as he stretched out his always tired muscles. Thanking the receptionists after he got all the paperwork filled out, the tired man went to wait in your room to tell you the news. The cuts would scar and your wing might be okay, the doctor said.  He sat down in the padded chair next to your cot, leaning his elbows on his knees and holding his hands together while he looked at you pitifully.
You were now dressed in a hospital gown, a wad of gauze was secured on your cheek as you lay your side facing him. Your right wing 3/4ths of the way is burnt but was now wrapped in bandages. He thanked whatever higher power whoever did this didn’t get the base of your wings. But he still felt terrible for you. The small squeak of terror pleading for help was gonna haunt him in his dreams for the next few weeks. He felt guilty even though this was in no way his fault.
Your stirring broke him out his thoughts. He smiled comfortingly at you. “Hey kiddo” he spoke with his signature deep and lazy tone.
“Dad? I thought you were out of the country?” You spoke still in your sleepy haze induced by painkillers. The ravenette’s eyes widened and he stiffened for a split second. He then let out a small huff and leaned back in his chair and smiled genuinely at you. He knew a lot of his students saw him as their dad but hearing it made him happy.
“Sorry kiddo, it’s your homeroom teacher.” He put on a neutral face as he tried to hide the smug tone in his smooth voice. Your eyes widened at his words and and you shot up into a sitting position on your bed. A small hiss escaped your mouth from moving too quickly.
“Sensei! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to! I uhh” you panicked. He gave you a small wave to dismiss it and you shut your mouth as to not embarrass yourself any further. You always did see him like a dad, always helping you gently along and pushing you to do better. He was always supportive of all your classmates and you all joked about calling him dad in private.
He took a deep breath and asked you what happened. You told him about walking home a little later cause you forgot something in the classroom. You lied about being late cause you couldn’t get Mina and Denki in trouble. They didn’t mean for this to happen and they didn’t cause you to be injured. But you told him about everything else truthfully.
He sighed in frustration when you finished. “Well you did what you could and I’m proud of you for getting away. Just have someone walk you home when it gets late, okay? Ask one of the teachers or classmates, I’m sure they’ll say yes.” his neutral tone was back. You nodded at him, still embarrassed from calling him dad earlier.
The tall man stood up from the chair and gave your hair a light ruffle before he made his way to the door. “I’ll see you soon kid, get better soon.” He spoke as he left the room. You gave him a shy smile and a small wave goodbye. You laid back on your side as soon as he shut the door. The painkillers and the reassurance from your teacher made you feel at ease. You closed your eyes and drifted into dreamland.
A whole day later, you awoke to the sound of familiar yelling at the door of your room along with the stressed voice of the nurse. “WE’RE HER FRIENDS! LET US SEE HER YOU HAG!” The all too familiar voice of Bakugo Katsuki yelled.
“Sir please be quiet! She’s sleeping! You’ll wake her up!” The nurse quietly yelled back. You rolled your eyes and gave a laugh plus a wince coming from your cheek from said laughter. “COME IN, IM AWAKE NOW!” You yelled with a smile and another wince.
The door nearly was kicked down by an angry but worried Katsuki. Eiji and Mina rushing through the door to attack you in hugs that were a little too tight. Kiri was hooked with two arms around your waist while kneeling on the floor and Mina hugged you around the neck. Denki was crying and apologizing the right side of the bed. You smiled and laughed at the two love bugs while softly rubbing their backs, giving the electric blonde a “it’s okay, pikachu, I’m alive aren’t I?” with a small laugh.
Their cries of joy of you being okay were echoing around the room as you locked eyes with Sero. A small blush of embarrassment creeped onto your face as you looked at each other. Bakugo plopped down on the same chair Aizawa was sitting on hours earlier with huff. You smiled softly at Sero and he immediately smiled back.
He called off the group lovebugs and sat down on a chair on the other side of you. You spent the next few hours updating them with what happened and calming down the squads overdramatic reactions with the help of the Sero. One by one they all left as it was getting late. Soon enough is was just you and Sero.
As you said both said goodbye to Kiri, a comfortable silence filled the air. You took a deep breath and a good look at him. He face read as worried yet relieved to know that you were okay. You softly grabbed his large warm hand and in a moment of rare boldness, you interlaced your fingers together.
“Thank you for coming Hanta, I really appreciate it. It wouldn’t be the same without you visiting. You always seem to make me feel better no matter what I’m going through.” You spoke softly as you looked at your interwoven hands. The painkillers making you forget your nervousness around him.
He full body blushed at the comment, clearing his throat to try and form a response. His heart thumped against his ribcage painfully at the good news. He was overjoyed that he meant something to you. Little did he know, he meant the world to you.
“Of course, anything for you. You make my day so much brighter so I missed you a lot when you weren’t at school.” He spoke nervously. It was your turn to blush now. The heat crept up to your cheeks and clawed its way up to your ears. He couldn’t help but think you look absolutely adorable, even all bandaged up. His pupils expanded in the dark sea of his eyes for the love he harbored for you.
“Awe, thank you Hanta. You’re really sweet, ya know that? Now only if I could find a guy like you to love a broken angel like me.” You spoke with a sad laugh. The haze of the painkillers and the gashes that ran from the top of your cheekbone and stopped at the corner of your lips hit you with a tidal wave of realization.
You were a broken angel. The gashes were just an ugly reminder of what being an angel quirk user was really like. The fear of getting slaughtered and strung up like a trophy on a daily basis. The predatory looks you got from men when you were just minding your business. The fear of never using your wings again. You gripped his hand tightly as you wiped away the tears that were now clouding your vision. When did you start crying?
The reality of the situation crashing into him hard. It hit him like a train. How did you feel about all this? The guilt set in on not asking sooner but he knew you wouldn’t want to cry in front of everyone. He decided to do what no one else really did and he comforted you. His overwhelmed brain made his mouth say the thing he normally wouldn’t dare to.
“I’ll always love you, broken or not.” He spoke softly. Your eyes snapped to each other in shock as you both squeezed the others hand so tightly you thought it would shatter. The blushes on both your faces blossoming from pink to red. You broke the awkward tension first with a soft smile plastered on your face.
“Thank you, Hanta. I’ll always love you too.” You spoke gently as you placed a small kiss on the hand that was holding yours. You smiled lovingly at each other even though you both just confessed your love in a hospital. The air in the room felt lighter and warmer, like things were starting anew. It was a small step, but it was a step. And that’s all that matters.

Heather Watches SG1 s7ep17&18: Heroes pt1 and pt2
 Watched 23/06/2020
Well here we go friends. I’m torturing myself for the sake of making y’all laugh and also because I have a LOT of feelings about this two parter and NONE of them are good. I can’t be the only one so lets see who else agrees with me!
This is about to get long and very swear word heavy so avert your eyes if you aren’t into that <3 Just letting you know I use some VERY strong language this post. I’m Australian so the word isn’t uncommon for us to use and we use it as a term of endearment in some parts too but I just wanted y’all to know.
This turned into the biggest one I’ve ever done too with 362 dot points... read if you dare
Well here we go
I’m probably gonna cry a lot
I love Saul Rubinek.
I adore him in Warehouse 13
Artie Neilson is like the dad I didn’t have
but fuck me if I don’t hate Emmet
This WHOLE two parter is pointless and just serves to kill of a character that didn’t need to die
Anyway getting into that a little early on
Fuck the defence department.
You haven’t spoken to Space Dad of Texas
The most unorthodox
JFC this ass hole
I’m calling him AssHole for the rest of the episodes
Of course they don’t want them here, he’s a dick
Hammond’s little smile
This whole episode feels sombre and sad
and we’re three minutes into the two parter
this whole thing is about to fall to shit
credits
i’m not even excited for the credits
because I’m hurting
last time I watched this I’d started crying the second it started so I’m doing much better this time
I love watching them go up the ramp  to the gate
its nice
end credits
NO ONE ASKED YOU SAUL

And its only taken you 7 years
so glad you did though
Odd that he was on fire
but we never see that happen any other times
“He does this all the time” poor Siler
Sam looks so happy when talking technobable and about her doohickeys.
I adore her
And honestly all that shits fascinating
still 32 minutes left...
honestly if it weren’t for me talking about Janets death, I’d never watch these again.
They are genuinely some of the worst episodes of SG1
I said what I said
“Sure. Its really cool. Steam comes out of it and everything”
She’s gonna kill someone
WALTER
Thats right
FUCK OFF SAUL
DOESN’T MEAN THERE WASN’T ANY GOA’ULD HERE RECENTLY
I love that they take odds
but this scene is only here to set up the character that is the reason Janet dies
because Janet shouldn’t have been off base
but we’re not going to talk about that are we?
The episode would have played out the same if this man had died
Anyone can die in war
Doesn’t matter if they’re a parent etc
but nah
we gotta -
sorry I’ll stop
SHE’S SO HOT
JACK YOU IDIOT
As if he read the memo
THERE SHOULD BE A CAKE
Obviously he can’t tell you much because he was DEAD
OMG TEAL’C
HE’S NOT SAYING A WORD
BECAUSE HE FUCKING HATES THIS GUY MORE THAN I DO
SAUL SHUT UP
LITERALLY NO ONE CARES
GO HOME
“Dr Jackson is going to die when he sees this”
“What again?”

YOU HAVE NO RIGT TO BE THERE
Sam joking around with Teal’c is so sweet
I love them and their friendship so much

I’M SORRY I’M YELLING SO MUCH I JUST HATE HIM WITH MY ENTIRE BODY.
Well is he wrong?
Because you’re an absolute arse, thats why it doesn’t matter
Shots of your ass serve us all well O’Neill
“How do you feel about Colonel O’Neill”
She wishes to kiss him, sir.
And potentially much more but we shall no discuss that here
He is amazing
Time outside of work... what are you insinuating
Good cover
Like family
First and foremost her superior officer
Secondly your LOVER
because I pretend Pete doesn’t exist right now
OH THIS SCENE
Actually that was pretty cute Daniel
And you’re right it is fascinating
At some action?
So you can be a dick and use peoples death as entertainment?
Fuck me
His job is the inscriptions
seriously fuck this guy
I love how Sam’s face goes from he’s right its boring to aww Daniel, he didn’t :O
I love their friendship
But it nearly could have cause people like oh, I don’t know, YOUR BOYFRIEND, SAMANTHA, stalk people

if y’all hadn’t stayed
this wouldn’t have happened
Janet my love
I’m crying
wow Jack has been hurt a fuck tonne
he didn’t give permission
Saul is an ass
I’m literally fighting tears right now
I fucking love her so much
You never know what to expect but you do such a good job sweetie
I’m so proud of you
The more she talks the more proud of her I am
and the more of a loss it truly is that she goes
because she’s fucking incredible and she has so much heart
her little laugh fucking STOP
My heart is literally breaking
AND DR FRAISER

FUCK OFF SAUL
THIS IS RIDICULOUS
HER GIGGLE STOP I LOVE HER
SHE DESERVED MORE
DO NOT GO
JANET NO STAY
BABY
and we end there to go to part two
this episode felt weird
it feels like is a drama inside a drama does that make sense?
It kinda feels like 200
like it feels fake and like its about to cut to a shot of them sitting around a table, flabergasted and with their heads in their hands
So Robert C. Cooper wrote it
I just wanna talk buddy... just wanna talk
THEY AIRED THIS FUCKER THE DAY BEFORE VALENTIES DAY?!?! WTF SYFY?!
Alright starting episode 2
SAUL FUCK OFF YOU CAN’T BE THERE
JANET BABY DON’T GOOOOOOO
I AM CRYING
I have my pillow pet who is named Janet
She was a gag gift about 7 years ago and I was watching SG1 at the time
but also she just looked like a Janet
She’s become a staple in my life and I love her
Anyway she always gets me through these episodes
credits
still not into it right now
should have skipped them this episode tbh
end credits
Ordered chocolate cake
it arrived
i’m happy with this choice
I don’t give a fuck about them deciding what happens in the fucking video
Good answer Daniel
I could also watch Major Carter’s head talk all day
They didn’t stand a fucking chance out there
They ran into that situation totally unprepared
which they would never have done normally
this whole two parter is fucking bull shit
and then they pit Jack and Janet against each other... like who are we gonna be more upset to lose in this moment
Fuck Jack
baby noooo
I can’t take this episode ffs
Lol Walter being cute
Get out of there
You cunt
get that fucking camera off
fuck this guy
no Sam
fuck off
leave her alone
punch him in the face
oh Sam honey I’m so sorry
she lost her best friend
FUCK OF SAUL
JESUS
HER BEST FRIEND JUST DIED
SHE’S IN PAIN
YOU DO NOT GET TO DICTATE WHETHER PEOPLE GET FILMED WHEN SHE’S CLEARLY IN PAIN
I’LL TURN YOU OFF YOU FUCKING ARSE HOLE FUCK YOU
don’t sit there all upset like your day has been ruined
And now we have them making us think Jack died so that we worry about him the entire episode instead of Janet
because who cares about her right?
FUCKING WOOLSEY
I literally just screamed
i hate him
this episode can’t get any FUCKING WORSE
I also question the decision.
No offence Space Dad of Texas
but it doens’t make sense that you chose to do what you did
I’m sorry but it doesn’t
FUCK OOOOOOFFFF WOOOSLEY
Hammond visiting Carter <3
Ah Barrett
So Woolsey is a corrupt piece of shit
Whoda thunk it
I’m crying again
Poor Hammond
Poor Sam
Talking at the memorial man
OH GOOD MORE WOOLSEY
BECAUSE THIS EPISODE ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH...
Fuck him
And the truth is that you’re a dick, moving on
Daniel has a point... and I hate saying that but he has a point
I love Sam
Daniel doesn’t give a fuck
Go Daniel I’m proud of you
OH NOT SAUL AND THE F U C K I N G CAMERA
NO PISS OFF
This is cruel
to make us see her death
to show us her literal dead body was too fucking much
I’m sorry but this would have been just as powerful if Simons had died
Hes a good kid
but this would have had the same impact
I’m sick of this man
I’m sick of this shit
OH MY GOD GO THE FUCK AWAY YOU PIECE OF SHIT
Which is why you bastards should not have been in the fucking field
It was of a man dying
end of
Yeah but what they do every single day doesn’t mean show us JANETS DEATH
Sharing it with the world won’t make him feel any better about one of his best friends getting show you mole
Good, Woolsey again
suck my dick
So this guy put money values on peoples heads
and he got command of Atlantis?
Yeah fuck him I’m not watching s5 of Atlantis
to be fair $27 million is a lot of money
but its still peopls lives
fuck off you smarmy git
I would love to see him tossed out on his arse
He can do that
fuck off you don’t get to say in whether or not you’re there or have a right to be there
you’re invading on peoples privacy
you’re an ass
The Tape
Fuck the N.I.D
I actually feel really bad for Daniel
fuck you Bregman
so excited to see people’s deaths
I had to pause for a moment
because I just saw Janet die
and its cruel
We didn’t have to see her death
knowing it happened was bad enough
physically seeing her dead is like salt in the wound
Janet deserved so much more than this
hope you’re happy bregman
sam visiting Jack
hurts because i love the cute moment
but it hurts
because we shuoldn’t have had to lose janet for this
Cassie... my heart is broken
the way he looks at her when she starts crying and the hug  like he has been there with her so many times
its all so sweet
and they’re so in love but they can’t have each other
its rude
Poor Simon...
Poor Sam
watching her cry is so hard
and Teal’c
guys i’m not sure i can finsih this
ok sorry I’m back
Gotta pick up Cassie
Cassie 100% lived with Sam right?
Oh Teal’c... i love you so, so much you sweet angel
and the little hug.. their friendship is beautiful
I’m so sick of Bregman at this point
and them being in the room where Daniel died, where Jack chose to get his symbiote, where they saved Cassie and Sam and countless others, where they helped Teal’c
Janet was so strong, so wise
oh Daniel... I’m sorry
It does but others don’t need to see it Daniel
Oh fuck I’ll be back after the memorial
its such a beautiful memorial
and Im glad they chose Sam to talk
I’m gonna say some more in my final notes
its hard right now with the tears
I still think you’re an absolute arse, Saul
This was kinda sweet actually
oh they named the baby Janet
i’m never gonna stop crying
Oh Jack
he’s so unimpressed
what a stupid way to end it
sorry but that was shit
Final thoughts
i genuinely hate these episodes. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever watch them again. Even with another watch through.. they’re not as well written or directed as other episodes, they’re unbelievable in the cannon of the show and breaks their own rules, not to mention the sheer heartbreak
Bregman is one of the most unlikeable characters in the show. If Simmons had of been alive he could have been in the episode too just to add to the trifecta of cunts!
Cassie should have been at the memorial
they make you think Jack is dead so we won’t worry about janet to what? make it more of a shock? because it doesn’t work. It should never have been designed to make us feel relief at Janet’s death because it wasn’t Jack! It doesn’t do her justice.
Janet Fraiser was a smart woman with a massive heart. She was brave and strong and she cared for everyone even when they were arseholes. She had a bit of fun with SG1 sometimes too. She was an incredible Dr, mother and friend.  Janet was tiny but tough. Something that i aim for. I’m 5ft2 so basically the same as Janet and believe it or not i’ve had people question my ability to be a good teacher because noone will take me seriously. Janet always made me feel like people would take me seriously and that even though I’m small, I can do big things. She encouraged me to be a good person with a heart of gold. Her death hits really hard for that reason. but also because she was an incredible character who deserved more than what she was given. Hardly any screen time and then murdered to make some sort of point that didn’t need making??? Not to mention she’s mentioned twice in the next three seasons and when she “comes back” in Ripple Effect she spends almost no time with Sam which makes exactly 0 sense.
Someone recently said they heard she was killed because the writers didn’t know how much more time they had and wanted to wrap some stuff up? Lets not forget that they made the end of this season a huge cliff hanger... but I’m still not sure what we could wrap up with her death? She had a fucking child!
Any way I won’t be watching this again. I’m sorry this isn’t much fun but hopefully you’ve got a giggle out of me swearing at the idiots
I love you all for reading this and supporting me posts, they’re usually pretty fun to make honestly!

Kaboom! pt2/2 (Tim Drake x Reader fanfiction)
Reader Gender: Female
Warning: Violence, Bombs, Explosions, Hospitals
Synopsis: Is it too late to save (Y/n)?
Other notes: Part 2 of Kaboom! Part 1 can be found on the masterlist in my profile description.
When I came to, I was in different clothes and still tied up.
“She’s awake. Hold her down.”
People held me down as I tried to get out of their grip.
“Where’s Tim Drake?” the leader asks.
“I already told you. Hong Kong,” I say still struggling to get out of their grip.
I am not scared. All those simulations were worse than this. Watching any Joker videos were worse. Yet my mind was fuddled and I couldn’t think straight. All I remember was Tim Drake in Hong Kong.
I felt something on my neck. A small prick and I started to feel sluggish. I fought the effects off as much as I could. Trying to keep. Myself in. Control.
I took a deep breath in and tried to slow down my heart rate, trying to slow the spread of the drug. “What. Are. You. Trying. To. Do?” It was a struggle to speak. My mouth not wanting to form any words.
Someone pulls my head back.
“Say cheese,” he says, snapping a photo. A few seconds later, his phone rings and he picks it up. “Yes, she is alive. Mostly unharmed,but-- You want to hear her? Don’t know if she can talk though.” he puts the phone speakerphone and shoves the part with the mic into my face.
“Tim,” I manage to say before my larynx stops working.
“(Y/n), hang on. We will be right--” Tim urgently says before they cut him off, taking him off of speakerphone.
“You know what the deal is. Anything else and you know who's going to blow,” he growls.
With my body out of commission, I was stuck with my mind.
What was going on?
I started to organize my thoughts as my vision started to blur. Every once in a while, I would be able to see someone talking, moving around me, but everything felt so far away.
Somewhere along the way, I was being moved. They propped me up against a small concrete block, uncomfortable but I had to get used to it. They started to hammer something into the ground and then left me there. The small bit of light that reached my right disappeared.
The drug’s effect started to fade away. Before long, I was completely aware and was able to move around, as far as the chain would let me. The door swung open and I fell limp, just like the left me. He comes up towards me and lifts up my face.
“How much longer would this last?” he asks, his spit flying to my face.
“Around 2 hours now.”
He smirks and lets my head go. He picks up a phone ringing from his pocket. “Hello? Her location? You thought we would just take the money?” the captors’ leader sneers, holding a remote in his hand, he presses the button and keeps it held down. “She’s getting blown up regardless.” He laughs as he exits the room, throwing the detonator behind him.
A small beep echoed through the quiet room, signaling certain doom. (Y/n) manages to rip the chain off of the nail keeping it grounded. She searches for the bomb. She sees the timer.
3.
(Y/n) scanned the somewhat opened room. Seeing a pillar on the opposite side of the bomb.
2.
She booked it towards the wall.
1.
Almost there.
0.
The explosion rips through the air and the wall (Y/n) was behind shook with as the shockwaves hit the pillar. It damaged the structural integrity of the roof, parts of which were falling down from the sky. An enormous chunk of the wall fell where she was sitting. She literally was an inch from her death but now she was pinned.
Another explosion, this time bigger than before. There was a blast of heat, as the flames spewed out and the ground rumble underneath her. The pillar that saved her life once now threatened to fall, crumbling under its own weight. It falls.
Tim looked over to the east, feeling like something went terribly wrong. That’s when he felt it, the rumbling, much like one from a bomb, from the building he was scouting. He jumped off of where he was perched, gliding down and into the building. The center of the room was filled with fire, but the surrounding areas where covered in debris and the falling ceiling. He carefully treads through the room.
There was evidence of some kind of restraining device. Tim looks around; there were not burnt or burning bodies within the fire. He checks the standing pillars, no one. He looks over at the pile of rubble, a sense of dread crawling into his stomach. He runs over and carefully moves some pieces around.
"(Y/N)? Are you there? Please answer me," Tim pleads as he digs through.
"Tim?" a faint voice comes out from the pile.
Tim heaves a large piece off. He sees her. It was a mess. Blood was pooling everywhere, she was not responding well, and there was a metal rod impaling her in the abdomen.
He panics but manages to get (Y/n) to the hospital. The emergency personnel immediately turned their attention to them. Everything was a blur as someone started chest compressions while another brought over a machine to the bed. Tim was escorted out, not only by the nurses but also by Jason and a security guard.
After a long restless wait, the surgeon comes out of the operating room. Shaking his head. “She’s not dead but--”
“Can I see her?” Tim asks, calm enough to think properly.
The doctor leads Tim and Jason to the intensive care unit.
“I do not know what kind of person she was, but I’ve seen many in the same situation she is in. There is a high possibility that she will die, but rarely, there are those with willpower stronger than death itself,” the doctor softly says as Tim holds your hand.
So, do you have the willpower to survive?

tommy gets hurt

Word Count: 3254
Takes place after A Letter from Tommy and before Tommy Healing
Tumblr media
It feels like a lifetime since this war started, since Tommy left. And now the war has come to Britain, but not Tommy.
It’s been nearly a year since the Germans first started dropping bombs on England. It was terrifying at first, and it still is, but as the months went on, a part of you has gotten almost used to it.
You used to wonder if this might be how Tommy feels, wherever he is, after three years of fighting. If he’s become desensitized to whatever horrors he’s had to live through. You’ve noticed he avoids writing too many details about the war in his letters. What you aren’t sure of is if the reason is to protect you or because it’s too difficult write about.
If it’s because of the second reason, he’d be disappointed to know that it’s become impossible. It’s impossible when you wake up every morning not knowing if today will be the day you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time. You can’t escape it when you spend a good part of your day at the hospital having to wash your hands and change your clothes to be rid of the blood from whatever civilian or soldier you’ve tended to.
Tommy is twenty-one now. He’s had three birthdays since the start of the war and you haven’t seen him for a single one of them.
It’s been weeks since you’ve heard from Tommy. It’s one thing you can’t seem to get used to, the long silences between letters. The periods when Tommy’s letters come quickly always feel like a blessing because but more often than not lately, there are long stretches in which you don’t know where or how he is.
You keep busy to stay distracted. There’s always someone needing something at the hospital. In fact, it’s not long before you run into your head nurse who tells you to report to one of the east wings where a band of injured soldiers in critical condition have just been brought in. You nod and quickly make your way to where she’s instructed.
The room is a flurry of action and you take only a moment to assess who is and isn’t being tended to. You notice Lily by a soldier’s bedside, focused on treating what looks to be a broken arm.
You go to a soldier, a young man, lying nearby unattended, clutching at his side where his uniform is torn and stained red.
“Let’s get you straightened out,” you tell the soldier who only groans in response, not seeming to quite hear you through his pain. You don’t have time to ask permission though once you see that the injury in his side is a bullet wound. He’s only been grazed, but he’ll need stitches, so you get to work, as gently and as efficiently as you can.
At some point the soldier has quieted down. Once you’ve finished with the stitches and dressed the wound, you move on to cleaning his other smaller injuries, and it’s then that you have a moment to really look at the soldier.
Even with his face scrunched up in pain, you can tell that he’s handsome. He’s young, though still older than you, probably in his mid-twenties. You take extra care with the cut he has on his jaw and cheekbone, imagining he probably has a girl waiting for him back home, wherever that is for him.
You’re nearly done when the man opens his eyes.
“How do you feel?” you ask gently.
You watch how his eyebrows furrow, his green eyes turning to you, searching restlessly as though trying to work out where he is and who you are. You’re about to explain all this when he speaks first.
“It’s you. It’s really you.”
You hum, wiping the sweat from his face. It’s not hard to guess this soldier is probably delirious. It’s not uncommon for wounded soldiers to mistake you for lovers or mothers in situations like this. You’ve found that the best tactic is to not let it make you feel awkward, but also not to feed into it.
He says it again though, louder now. “It’s you!”
“Don’t strain yourself,” you tell him gently, putting a hand on his shoulder to keep him from moving too much, but he’s working himself up and you’re worried he’ll split his fresh stitches.
You’re about to call another nurse to help you calm him down when he speaks again. “The girl from the photo. The one Tommy carries around always.”
Everything freezes when you hear his name.
There’s thousands of Tommy’s. There’s no way this soldier could possibly be talking about your Tommy. It’s too good to be true.
A glance at his dog tags tells you this soldier’s name is Alex.
Alex.
Tommy had mentioned an Alex in his letters a few times before.
He couldn’t possibly…
Everything moves very quickly after that. Your hands shake as you dig into your pockets, scrambling for your most precious possession, the one you take with you everywhere.
“Alex,” you say firmly once you’ve found it, gazing directly into the man’s face, holding up your picture of Tommy to his face. “Did you say Tommy? This Tommy? Do you know this Tommy?”
Alex’s gaze moves from the picture to your face, his eyes wide in awe. “You carry his picture too.”
It’s true then.
This is Tommy’s Alex from Dunkirk you’re talking to. This soldier knows Tommy, has seen him last, heard his voice and it’s the closest you’ve been to Tommy in years and your entire body is shaking. You’re frantic.
“When’s the last time you were with him? Is he alright? Is he safe?”
Alex frowns. “The last time I saw him? I was brought into the hospital with him. He’s here.”
It’s the first time in your life you experience not being able to speak or hear or see as Alex’ words even stop your breath and you have to hold onto the railing of his bed to keep yourself from collapsing. You think Alex might have said something but you dont hear because as soon as you’ve recovered enough to see straight, you’re taking off, searching wounded soldiers’ faces and asking the nurses if they’ve seen the boy in your picture.
You don’t know how you find him, if a doctor led you or the nurses directed you or if it was the universe somehow pulling you to him, because the moment you see him everything else just disappears.
You’d have recognized him anywhere, the cut of his jaw, long dark lashes casting shadows on his cheekbones, the angle of his nose, the spot on his chin you’ve kissed more times than you can count.
You’d recognize him even like this, pale and still, surrounded by a doctor and two nurses moving worryingly fast in a hospital wing echoing with pained moans and cries. You’re torn between gasping for breath and holding it altogether because nothing could have prepared you for finally seeing Tommy again, especially like this.
“What’s wrong with him?”
Your voice is a croak at best, but one of the nurses pauses long enough to answer you. “He’s got a few broken ribs, a bullet wound in his arm, and maybe some internal bleeding. Plus, he has a nasty burn on his leg along with other smaller cuts.”
It’s like a punch to the gut with every hurt and injury the nurse lists off. You have to blink away the wet in your eyes and clear your throat before asking, “Do you know what happened?”
“From what some of his comrades said, after being shot at a bomb went off near him, the force of it knocked him against a wall. He wasn’t close enough to get killed but he wasn’t far enough to go unscathed.”
Anything else the nurses say drown out at the sound of a weak groan and before anyone can stop you you’re at Tommy’s side.
“Tommy,” you whisper, your hand reaching for his. His hand automatically clutches yours tightly in his grasp, but his eyes remain closed, his face twisted in pain. You don’t think he realizes it’s you, don’t think he can process anything right now because of the pain. Your eyes well with tears and your sob is cut off by the nurses telling you that cannot just stand at his side in the way and need to either help or step aside.
You look at Tommy. His jaw is tight, like he’s grinding his teeth, and his face is covered in a thin sheet of sweat. You know you have to find the resolve to pull yourself together, for Tommy, so you squeeze his hand one last time and get to work helping tend to him.
You have never in your entire life been so overcome with both happiness and fear. For three years you’ve been praying and wishing every day to see Tommy again, and then impossibly, the day comes, but he’s broken and bleeding. Everything is moving at a blur and none of it makes sense and suddenly you’re praying, please dear God, please don’t let the last thing I hear from his lips be his moans of pain, don’t let the last time you touch him be you wrapping your hands around his arm to stop the flow of blood leaving his body.
It feels like days before the doctor and nurses finally start retreating from Tommy’s bedside.
He looks almost worse than you first saw him, even though you know that’s not true. His left leg had been treated for the burns. There would be scarring, all along the side of it up to nearly half his thigh. His minor cuts had been cleaned, his bullet wounds stitched up, and his chest had been wrapped with elastic bandages to help splint and immobilize the area. He’d developed a fever, and you didn’t need the doctor to tell you that if it doesn’t break soon, it could be a sign of infection.
It’s been a little over twenty-four hours now since Tommy was brought in, late in the night, three or maybe four in the morning. The doctors have gone home, a few nurses remaining on hand in case of an emergency. Most of the men are sleeping, but you can hear the sounds of moans and restless sleeping.
Your whole attention is focused solely on Tommy.
You haven’t gone home since Tommy’s been brought in. The only reason you’ve eaten anything is because Lily insisted after she found you. You’d grumbled, but you were thankful, especially when you know that Lily’s done you the favor of checking in on Alex and has also probably been covering for you with the head nurse matron. Lily understood from the moment she’d heard that Tommy was in the hospital that there was no way you were leaving his side.
You’re exhausted, and a part of you feels guilty that you dropped everything, but nothing has ever mattered more than making sure that Tommy is safe and now, at least for the moment, he is.
Sitting now, in the silence of the night at his bedside, it almost feels like you’re seeing Tommy for the first time again. You’re keenly aware that you haven’t seen his green eyes once. They’d been closed in either pain or sleep since he’s gotten to the hospital.
You’re dozing in your seat when you hear a gentle moan, closer than the other ones you’ve heard throughout the night and when you look up it’s Tommy, shifting in his bed, face scrunched up in pain again to match his groan. Only this time, you can see from the candle you’ve set at his bedside, his eyes are open, dancing with the fire’s light, like a green, restless ocean.
“Tommy,” you breath, immediately on your feet and at his side.
You watch with bated breath as Tommy’s green eyes dazedly search your face, your eyes mirroring his.
It feels like ages before his lips part and he speaks, “Am I dead?”
You can’t help it. A laugh escapes you because it’s just so wonderful to hear his voice again and you blink away some of the wetness from your eyes as you shakily reach out to brush his hair away from his temple. “No darling, you’re not dead.”
Tommy breathes in sharply at your touch and leans into for only a moment before he’s closing his eyes again, face scrunched in a different kind of pain. “It’s not possible. I didn’t think I would ever see you again. I must be dead.”
It’s a wrench in your heart to hear Tommy say that, to try and understand that whatever he’s had to face has been so terrible he sincerely thought he would die before he ever saw you again.
A memory of nineteen year old Tommy flashes in your mind, promising he would do whatever it took to get back to you.
You want to sob but instead you sniff and stroke his cheek until he finally opens his eyes again.
“It’s really me,” you promise.
Tommy’s eyes search yours still, and you can see in them that he wants to dare believe and still so afraid to hope. You keep stroking his cheek and hold his gaze, determined to smile even as you feel tears stream slowly down your cheeks.
You see the moment Tommy’s eyes start to well with tears as well and his breath shakes, “It’s really you.”
Your vision blurs even more but this time it’s because your face is stretching into a grin and you laugh softly, so full of love for this dark-haired boy that you can’t contain yourself anymore.
“It’s really me,” you say again, and then you’re leaning down to finally, finally press your lips to Tommy’s in a kiss. He’s kissing you back the moment your lips touch his and you can almost feel how much Tommy’s been waiting for this too.
You have to pull away too soon, aware that not only are you in the middle of a hospital wing surrounded by other injured soldiers, but Tommy’s fighting a fever and his ribs are broken impairing his breathing and you don’t want to accidentally hurt him.
You settle for resting your forehead gently against his, eyes shut tight, breathing with him and basking in this moment you’ve been waiting years for.
One of his hands is resting weakly on your arm. “How are you here?”
You run a hand through his hair. “I could ask you the same.”
You listen to Tommy explain how he’d been sent back to England to defend against the bombs, help with civilians. How he’d sent her a letter, hoping to arrange a meeting with her, but he’d obviously beaten the letter.
You laugh quietly together in the stillness of the night, in awe and gratitude of being brought back together against all odds.
“How do you feel,” you ask him concernedly after you’ve helped him drink water.
“Like I’ve been blasted against a wall,” he winces, “but better now I’m with you.”
You cheeks warm at his words but still you smile. He does look much better now that he’s awake, but he’s still paler than you’d like and it’s obvious he’s exhausted and uncomfortable from his injuries.
“I like your nurse’s dress,” he murmurs, cheeky grin on his lips.
“I like your soldier’s uniform,” you manage to tease back through your blush. “Or what’s left of it anyway.”
He starts then, a sudden urgency in his voice. “My coat, is it still here?”
You don’t want to part from him for even a moment, but you get up and find his coat under the hospital bed. Tommy sighs in relief then smiles at your questioning gaze, saying quietly, “Look in the inner pocket.”
You do as he says and what you pull out is a photograph of yourself, the same one you sent to him nearly two years ago when he’d gotten safely out of Dunkirk and sent you a picture of himself. You knew Tommy always carried this with him, he’d mentioned it in his letters, but seeing the proof of it...
You bite your lip to keep it from trembling and then reach into the pocket of your nurse’s dress and show Tommy what you keep there, your most precious possession. Your photograph of Tommy.
Tommy’s breath catches at what you’ve shown him and he looks up at you with the same type of awe Alex had hours ago. “You carry it everywhere too?”
“Always,” you nod. “Everywhere.”
He bites his lip, staring at you intently before asking quietly, “Will you lay down here with me?”
You’re still in your nurse’s uniform and it would be highly unprofessional of you to lay in bed with an injured soldier, sweetheart or not, and you know there are at least two other nurses in the room who will likely gossip about the whole thing tomorrow, but Tommy’s looking at you like you’re the most amazing thing in the world and your heart is melting.
“Just for a little while.” Tommy asks further, and you can’t bring yourself to deny him anything.
“Alright,” you whisper and then you’re climbing onto the bed, carefully stretching yourself along his side that is less injured. You tuck your chin gently onto his shoulder, your forehead pressed against his cheek.
His skin is still warm and his chest falls and rises unsteadily because of his broken ribs, but as you keep one hand enveloped in his grasp, the other you keep on his wrist where you can feel his pulse, steady and strong. You know that soon Tommy’s fever will break and that with time, his injuries will heal too.
His scent is comforting. It occurs to you that this is the first time you and Tommy have laid in a bed together and you can feel your cheeks warm even more.
The quiet is broken by Tommy, so quiet you almost miss it. “I feel like I’ve been in a dream.”
Your eyes are closed but you smile still. “You’re not dreaming Tommy.”
He turns his head to look at you and you open your eyes to stare back. He looks pale, and tired, dark rings under his eyes, but his gaze is honest and his voice steady when he speaks quietly, just for you. “You know a day hasn’t gone by that I stopped loving you. I thought of you nearly every moment of every day.”
Your heart beats heavy against your chest and you want to bottle up this moment and keep it safe forever. You lean forward to press your lips against his. His lips are dry but warm against yours, your skin remembers the shape and taste of his lips.
“I know,” you whisper against him when you’ve pulled away. You rest your hand against his cheek and smile, the both of you catching your breath, “I know, because it’s been the exact same for me.”
He smiles back and your hands press a little bit closer together. You melt into the warmth radiating off his body, warmth that tells you he’s here and alive.
You don’t know what the morning will bring, if this war will finally end or if one of the Germans’ bombs will fall and you’ll be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But you do know that it’s been years since you’ve been able to peacefully close your eyes for sleep, and it’s because Tommy’s at your side and he hasn’t ever once stopped loving you and nothing, not even war, can take that away.

CHAPTER 3 TRIAL TRANSCRIPT
Monoboar, after irritatingly grumbling at the scene, announces "HEAD T' THE FOYER AT ONCE!" with a snort.
He begins his travel down.
TRIAL 3 - BEGINNING
Tumblr media
[5:05 PM] Monoboar!: As you all crowd into the elevator and the doors shut behind you, the noise of the elevator slowly descending down rings in your ears, the low, ominous hum of everything moving around you.
The more you descend, the more it dawns on you-- yet another person has died in such a short span of time... Five people, with Eri's corpse burned into your minds.
Yet another class trial.
....
The elevator finally stops to it's destination, revealing a large trial room, with stands all in a circle. Four stands now bear the mark of the fallen, five portraits pertaining to Akihiko, Aderyn, Akemi, Wallace, and Eri.
Head to your stands.
@Alive [5:06 PM] Keekoo Taisei | I hate this pt2: Keiko silently moves to her stand. [5:06 PM] Lake Kawaguchi | Fuck: Lake shaked out her hoodie before walking up to her stand.
"...Hazel-san, do you wanna hold my hand?"
@Hazel Hazeldine (Mars) [5:07 PM] Riku Yasui...: Riku went to his stand. [5:08 PM] Hazel Hazeldine | baby chain: "....yes, that would be lovely." Hazel says shakily, taking Lake's hand into her own.
@Lake Kawaguchi (Florence) [5:08 PM] 🔥 ZOZO! 🔥 ...: Renzo goes to their stand and sits on the edge of it, as usual. [5:08 PM] Cerviel Winter | Sulking: Cerviel headed to his stand. He's a wreck. He keeps making a low whining noise. [5:08 PM] MAGGIE! 🖊 HELP!: Maggie rubs her tired eyes. [5:11 PM] Monoboar!: Monoboar hops onto his seat, giving a quick angry look at everybody before slamming his gavel down a bit too forcefully.
"I'm in a friggin' bad mood t'day! Just solve the damn trial for Eri Nakama!" He yells out.

[5:18 PM] Keekoo Taisei | I hate this pt2: "What...what was it that caused the explosion? Do any of you have theories?" [5:20 PM] MAGGIE! 🖊 HELP!: "Someone got sciencey... Like, Bill Nye sciencey..." [5:20 PM] packie hayai 🌾 💤: "Huh, speaking of explosions."
:cluebullet: "There's a book in the chem lab for building bombs. A page about a low explosive bomb was bookmarked, and someone even wrote down the materials they needed and how much of it." [5:20 PM] 🔥 ZOZO! 🔥 ...: Renzo taps the side of their mask. :consentbullet: “Ahh, yes, so some sort of a chemical reaction, perhapss...” [5:21 PM] Keekoo Taisei | I hate this pt2: Keiko's eyes widen. "A book...? I think I might have something useful to share, in that case..." [5:22 PM] MAGGIE! 🖊 HELP!: "Do share..." Maggie does a tired wave. [5:22 PM] 🔥 ZOZO! 🔥 ...: { “Oho?” } [5:25 PM] Keekoo Taisei | I hate this pt2: :testitheorybullet: "Yesterday, I stopped to read in the library at about 10 AM...and I saw Eri-san come in, take a book from one of the shelves, and leave." she says, frowning. "She was also muttering something...'This time for sure'."
"I didn't know what she meant by that, and I had been so rude to her before...I couldn't bring myself to question her. And she left." Keiko admits, "And now she's dead."
Tumblr media
[5:26 PM] MAGGIE! 🖊 HELP!: "Does that mean... she's done whatever "this" is before? Maybe she's thought about... something?" [5:27 PM] Kubo Tachibana | BLEHEHEH: “I saw the book she grabbed too! When we were in the chemistry lab anyway...” He looks around. “It was...um...a book on how to build bombs... i think... [5:28 PM] MAGGIE! 🖊 HELP!: "The book Pickle mentioned?" [5:28 PM] packie hayai 🌾 💤: {"OUT OF ALL FUCKING PEOPLE, YOU TOO?!"} [5:28 PM] Kubo Tachibana | BLEHEHEH: “Oh... yeah!!” [5:29 PM] MAGGIE! 🖊 HELP!: {"Issa funny nickname... He Remembers pt2
He remembered feeling tired.
A tiredness that ran through his veins and shifted his bones, which carried him by muscle memory to his old room in the Manor.
He remembered that no one followed him as he made his room through the darkened hallways that never seemed to end, warping into a maze of fear and regret and exhaustion. He didn’t remember walking to his bed, discarding his clothes in a mess on the floor, or locking the door behind him, but he remembered falling into bed and feeling liquid, like his body had melted.
He tried to think back to all the things that had gone wrong since leaving the court of Owls and their brainwashing. He thought he was getting better. But after listening to all the things his family had done for him, had sacrificed for him…
He’d been getting worse all along.
He wanted to cry, but he felt that all the crying he did downstairs had made him desert dry and empty. His tongue was dry, his eyes were dry and all he wanted to do was sleep. He wondered if his family and the people of Gotham City would ever forgive him for the wrongs he did to them? He hoped so.
That night, he dreamt of blood. Deep crimson and flaky brown, there was enough blood to fill the River Nile. And he was surrounded by it, the knife in his hand dripping a constant flow of red and filling the river to overflow. He was wearing the mask, that dreaded mask of black layers that flowed around him, the brass covers over the eyes, the metal beak that took on the real form of an owl. The blood felt like it was on his skin, making it slick and dripping down his face to the tip of his nose.
He heard that nursery rhyme, in the sing-song voice of a child.
“Beware the Court of Owls, that watches all the time—”
The river was rising, swirling up to his knees. He couldn’t move.
“—ruling Gotham from a shadowed perch—”
Hands started rising up out of the river, grabbing onto his legs, his arms, anything they could reach and tried to pull him down.
“—behind granite and lime.”
There was a tree above his head and he leapt up to catch it, arms outspread towards a branch, but every time he got close, the branch pulled away.
“They watch you at your hearth—”
Eyes appeared from the darkness, bright yellow and dripping malice.
“—they watch you at your bed—”
He was drowning, blood filling his lungs as the hands succeeded in pulling him down.
“Speak not a whispered word of them—”
He saw bodies floating when he opened his eyes, he knew those bodies. He remembered plunging his knife into them and the warmth of the blood on his hands. He wanted to gag.
“—or they’ll send The Talon for your head.”
There was a body above him and he didn’t know who it was but it was right above him and he was drowning, drowning, drowning…
He woke with a gasp. Well… he thought he did. He must still be dreaming. The mask was still on his face, the knife still in his hand. The body he didn’t recognise was still above him. He felt blood, dripping from above him to soak into the fabric and land on his forehead. He couldn’t move.
He remembered the horror, the petrification he felt as he watched the corpse on his ceiling open its eyes, glowing a stoplight red. It opened its mouth to speak and a dark green mist escaped. “You are a Talon,” it rasped, voice deep and hoarse. “And you will never leave the Court of Owls as long as you live, Grey Son!”
Jason heard Dick scream from the front door. He was leaving for the night, giving up his room for Harper and Cullen. The shrill sound stopped him dead, and he was already halfway up the stairs when the rest of the family started rushing out of the library.
The door was locked. He spun on his heel and backed up to the other end of the hallway so he could run and ram his shoulder into the door. It still didn’t budge. He did it again. Nothing.
Dick’s screaming was getting worse, and when Jason finally broke the door open with a thump, he thought he was hallucinating.
Dick was on his bed, Talon suit on like he had slept in it. There was a knife on his hand, the one he used to murder so many people. He wasn’t moving, and Jason couldn’t understand because if there was a body on his ceiling, he sure as hell would be running away.
There was a steady dripping of blood coming from the body and it looked like it was falling on Dick. Jason rushed forward and grabbed Dick by his shoulders, yanking him off the bed and out of the room. He slammed the door behind him.
Dick fell to his knees in a crumpled heap, reaching up to claw desperately at the mask. It wouldn’t budge.
Dick remembered the fabric of the mask burning his face like acid. He thought he could feel it melting through his skin, burning and bubbling and dissolving his bones to mush. Through his screaming and his fingers working desperately at the edges and folds to find the latches that would unclasp the mask, he was dimly reminded of a man who he had poured acid on to get him to stop screaming.
He screamed harder.
He remembered Bruce rushing up the stairs and blocking the landing so nobody else could see. He remembered the needle in his hand, which he threw to Jason and his brother put in in his neck, pulling the plunger and holding his shoulders. Dick’s sight faded and his hearing fizzled out like a dud bomb. He saw a man on a noose in the corner, arms outstretched towards Dick’s throat. “Join us.” He hissed and Dick’s world went black as he screamed his fears of the dark.
He remembered waking up cold, his face no longer burning. His wrists and ankles had been tied to a metal work bench by chains. It felt strangely familiar. Is vision dimmed and green smoke danced around his eyes. Men and women in white masks and black suits, blue dresses and fancy ties were standing around the table. One was holding a needle full of green liquid in one hand and a knife in the other. Both the needle and the knife came down upon his chest and he drew in a gasp to lose his last ever scream as a free man-
A blink and the image was gone.
He was in the cave, the Batcave, and he was on the medical bed. Not a sacrificial stone. Not a dank cave in a mountain where nobody would hear his cries. He was chained to a med-bay bed.
He looked around, straining his ears to hear any movement in the cave. He could hear the pitter-patter of fast typing from the space to his right- Tim. He swallowed and started testing his chains quietly.
They were metal, not the soft padded ones they usually used in the med-bay, more like the ones in the containment chamber. He let out a soft curse as he relived images of Bruce, high off his head on Ivy’s cocktails, thrashing in those cuffs. Dick would never break out of them. He needed help. He needed to get out of the cave. He can’t…Jesus, he can’t hurt his family anymore.
“Tim.” he called hoarsely, his voice was scratched and small, so he tried again, “Timmy.”
The fingers stopped on the keyboard, his brother hesitating for several minutes, then Dick heard the sound of the chair across the stone floor, and Tim was at Dick’s side, still in his Red Robin suit, sans mask, his hand gravitating to Dick’s forehead to check his temperature, Dick felt a hysterical laugh brew in his chest, as if only he could take a few antibiotics and wake up better; he leaned into the touch anyway.
He let Tim see him struggle to turn on his side, and rattled the chain harder than it needs to, Tim flinched.
“Tim what happened?” he asked, willing his voice to be scared and low, he noticed the slight shift behind Tim’s eyes when he decided to lie.
“You were screaming, nightmares, I think. We were scared you would hurt yourself.”
Dick hummed and rubbed his hair further into Tim’s fingers. He shifted again and let out a deliberate small moan of pain. Tim frowned, then checked his cuffs. Dick repressed his grin and manoeuvred his fingers into Tim’s glove as he leaned to check across the bed.
“It’s fine Timmy. Where’s Jason?” he asked, letting his eyes well up in tears, and looking around the room. Tim hugged himself and took a step back.
“I’ll go find him for you, he’s still here.”
Dick nodded several more times than he needed to and Tim was gone in a second, feet running across to the entrance of the Cave.
It took Dick four minutes to get rid of the lock picks around his hands and feet, and he quickly got dressed, forcing himself to stop imagining how betrayed Tim would be when he got back.
He slipped into his boots, put on his mask and grabbed his spare escrima sticks, then walked to his bike. He slowly walked it through the tunnels and out through the mouth of the cave, into the dirty Gotham air. When he was far enough out, he jumped on his bike and rode off, away from the house with concerned glances and worried eyes.
Tim froze, the breath knocking out of him when he heard the roar of a bike echoing across the cave walls. He started running, and he could hear Jason’s heavy footsteps behind him. Jason, who was about to see the empty bed and kill Tim where he stands. How could he be so stupid? He could feel his teeth clenching painfully, and he didn’t even glance at the med-bay before he sounded the alarm through the manor.
Jason’s muttered curses hit him like wounds, and he didn’t look up from the computer as he ran his search algorithm for Nightwing’s uniform around the manor and the surrounding areas.
Bruce’s sharp breath hit him even worse, as the man himself reviewed the security footage of Dick’s escape.
“I’m so sorry.” Tim forced himself to look up at the two men. He wished fiercely for his mask to be covering his face. Nobody should have to withstand Bruce’s disappointed glare this exposed, he thought.
Jason sighed, and Tim turned to look at him, “It’s fine replacement, it’s the puppy dog eyes, anyone could fall for those stupid baby-blues.” and it sounded sincere, if a little reluctant, and Tim felt his limbs moving before he realized he was barreling into Jason for a hug. He felt the gloved fingers in his hair and let out a little sob into the older man’s chest. This night has been way longer than it had any right to be.
The alert broke the moment, and they all turned to the computer where Dick, in his Nightwing uniform, stood in an ally ten minutes away from the Manor in front of a cluster of children with torn clothes and blood stained skin, huddled together as he shielded them from the men in front of them. His face was a mask of fury, his hands and escrima sticks covered in dark splashes.
The men approached and the children shrieked.
Dick lunged.
Lightning flashed from his escrima sticks, exploding on each impact. Thuds, cracks, thumps, whacks, men went down in a flurry of electricity and pain. Blood welled up and bruises boiled to the surface of their skin. Men went down, red soared, blue and black lashed out to collide with dark green and brown. Gun shots and the littering of bullet casings hitting the floor. A bullet flew straight at the surveillance camera, smashing the screen and turning the picture dark.
Jason was out of the cave before the bullet hit
Dick’s vision was shrouded in a wave of anger, deep red covering the world in a fury burning hot as fire. His hands, tingling, shaking, waiting to be used at his sides. He thought he could hear himself growling, snarling as he stood in front of the children. Felt the screaming in his head of enough is enough.
He remembered the satisfaction he felt when his sticks make contact with a man’s face and he crumpled to the floor like a tonne of bricks. Out cold and bleeding.
He couldn’t remember what happened next, except for the slick feeling of warm blood turning his skin slippery and the sounds he made when he buried his foot into a man’s ribcage and felt a sickly crunch. The pressure when he lashed out and connected somebodies face with his stick and the electricity that bounced around the alley lighting the darkness in deathly white and illuminating the bloodbath that Dick was creating.
The last man fell to the floor as the children from behind him whimpered out of fear. He stayed out of the light so they couldn’t see the blood caking his uniform and told them that they were safe. They stopped shaking and they fearfully thanked him, almost as though they thought he would hurt them too if they didn’t. He would never hurt them, he was Nightwing, the uniform meant hope, didn’t it? Something deep in the pit of his stomach stirred and he steadied himself with a shaking hand on the brick wall. His hand was so bloody. When had that happened? He felt sick, and when he looked to his side again, the children were already at the end of the alley, sprinting on trembling legs into the cold Gotham night, not even looking behind.
He remembered hearing a rumble from behind him and he spun around, escrima at the ready. Dick remembered that he saw the blazing red of Jason’s bike and saw the headlights glisten as they came up to the ally.
He started running towards the dead end at the other side of the alleyway, ignoring Jason’s desperate pleas of “Come back please we can get through this together, you don’t need to do this!”
Dick leapt off of the wall and connected with the next one, using the momentum to carry him up, up, up until he could catch hold of a fire escape and swing off of a clothes line and barrel roll onto a roof. He didn’t look back as he sprinted away from his brother, didn’t look back as he dived off of the edge of the building and out of sight of Jason’s desperate eyes.
Jason made it to the opening and got off his bike just as the last flecks of blue disappeared over the edge of a far away roof.
Hi! So, I wrote this for the amazing @fishfingersandjellybabies, who waited ever so patiently for part 2! Bee, I hope this is ok. Faded Land: Chapter 14 (Pt2)
Blazing through the long forgotten underground tunnels of Niagara, the subway train zooms along the rusted tracks; Clara feeling the wind in her hair from the platform in the back. Before heading inside, she takes a look back towards the departing tunnels; her thoughts pondering upon this mysterious Dandy would assist in her illegal crossing into the Canadian country. Even if her steed had not abandoned her, climbing over a wall of that armed fortitude would prove to be quite a strenuous task; one that's even more so as of now. The only feasible option that wound make any kind of sense would be the sewer systems; all the traps they’ve set up through the labyrinth like tunnels and these very subway tracks suggests that they have a mostly solid idea of the layout. They probably have a route on standby for whenever they need to make little trips up north. Just gotta get a few jobs done for these weirdo’s and her way into the land of maple leaves will be secure as their syrup. Sweet, delectable syrup dripping upon the fluffy pancakes of the scientist daring journey. And only then will breakfast and her quest for Arthur truly begin.
Those thoughts secure in her head, she heads into the subway train. The first sight she comes upon once inside is the psychotic punk girl who slugged her in the jaw from earlier, staring the scientist down with a devious grin stretching across her face. “We-e-ell, look at the little whore who stumbled into our neck of the woods.” After that sarcastic greeting, Clara backs away from Shoa’s piercing gaze, her back pressing against the glass of the back door. “What the- W-what are you doing here!?” “I’m here acting as head of these operations, sweetheart. You want permission to wipe your ass, your gonna haveta get it from me.” “You’re my boss?” “And the boss the other motherfuckers sitting on this train. And speaking of seats, get your ass on one of them before I shove my boot into yours.” Upon that order does the scientist scuttle around the punk, making haste to whatever seat was nearby.
Resting her lab coated ass upon the torn leather of the subway seats, she takes another glance of the ski mask that the Dandy had bestowed upon her; taking a gander of its canine like design. Scanning to the side of the cabin, she bared witness to her neighbors and teammates donning similar apparel. Puffy birds, fancy fish, screaming monkey and cats from all over the globe, this cart was looking a lot like a wool knitted zoo, except with no one in charge knowing the definitions of hygienic upkeep.
With a deep breath passing through, she garbs the dog mask over her head, adjusting her glasses from within the wool. From underneath the mask, the sound of snickering reaches her ears. A glance to the side showing Shoa letting out a light chuckle. “What’s so funny?” the scientist wonders aloud. “Oh, nothing. Just thinking how good of a fit that mask is. Now everyone’s gonna see ya the way I do.” “And where might your mask be? Everyone in here’s got a helmet cap on but you.” “Bitch, I don’t need one of those masks to cover my mug cause I ain’t some candy ass chicken like all y’all.” Turning away from the scientist, the punk heads towards the front of the cart as she finishes her statement. “I want my face to be something that those Canadians fear. The sudden terror overwhelming their fragile psyches as they see me rush in with my blood soaked machete. Can’t get enough of that. Their fear is my cocaine.”
Once Shoa stood at the end of the cart, the punk turns towards her crew, who await for her word as they sit upon the sides of the train. “Alright. Heads up, you worthless excuses for soldiers! This ain’t a mission for fucking pansies. We going on a bombing run here, people! Once we get in there, it won’t long before those Canadian bastards show up and scramble the place. If they don’t gun yer ass down first, their gonna haul ya to somewhere to torture you.” “Torture!?” one of them blurts. “Ooh yeah! They ain’t gonna hesitate to try any method their sick little minds can think of on you. And none of that weak shit like waterboarding or pulling teeth, nah. We talking about the kind of horribly depraving stuff, like being force to listen to a screaming monkey trying to play the violin for hours on end while strapped to the end of a wheel, or having to sit through 48 straight hours of elephants give births with your eyes taped open.” “Ew!” Clara exclaim. “Oh that ain’t even the worst of it; they got plenty more in store for ya. Like making you undergo countless inhuman experiments; injecting you with bizarre and almost alien chemicals. Or starving you for days on end and forcing you to have an eagles eye view of their cafeteria, making you watch as dozens of soldiers stuff themselves with delicious dishes the likes of which you sons of bitch can only dream of.” “Jeez” “Yep, and guess who the bad bitch here is who’s been through all of it? So if those maple leaved bastards wind up catching ya...Well, may god help you.” The passengers lining the seats look to one another, their masks covering their expressions. Thankful that they are, as none of them could bare witness to the scientists stare of trepidation. Didn’t think that these Canadians would be avid fans of strange and unusual punishment. But given what she’s seen of them so far, it’d be a scientific breakthrough to predict anything they do.
“Anyway, if you don’t wind up getting shot or snagged, your gonna be racing your way through the power plant in teams of uh...” In her hesitance, she counts the number of passengers on board, continuing her briefing with: “3. Two to shoot the guns and one to carry the bomb. You be taking our homemade explosives to the power plants multiple cores. If things go as planed, then the multiple booms will chain together and whole place will go up in smoke. Boom, poof, just like forth of July.” “Ain’t that holiday a myth?” “Now If some of you guys get to a core and start to arm one of them, contact everyone else via radio. At that point, the rest of you will have 30 minutes to plant the rest and get the hell outta there. Don’t matter what happens, just make sure our bombs get armed. Saving yer sorry asses will be on your own time. I ain’t no kindergarten teacher. I ain’t gonna sugarcoat this shit, some of you might not make it to see tomorrow. Hoping some of you do more than others.” Upon saying that, the punks eyes drift towards the scientist, a grin stretching across her face. Clara scoots away from Shoa’s glare as far as she can, her canine like mask covering the quiet groan that escapes her.
Parting her gaze from Clara, Shoa continues with her briefing by adding: “Once this baby makes its stop, were gonna be heading up out in the open. Climbing out of these shitty tunnels, there’s gonna be a van parked nearby that’ll drive us to the plant, packed with all the fireworks we need to get this light show going. When we get close enough, were gonna sneak our way towards the back and work our way from there. I say it’d be about 10 minutes or so before we reach our stop, so take that time to do whatever you want. Say your prayers, have your last thoughts, cry like little bitches, jerk off, I don’t give a shit. Just be ready to run like your racing through the Minnesota battlefront once this baby comes to a halt.
Upon that does the team await for their stop, Clara wondering why exactly Shoa beamed her that merciless glare from earlier. Seriously, just what the hell is this lady’s deal? Haven’t even been with these guys for less than a day and already this bitch is just nonstop with the hostility. Wonder what exactly went through her head that made her want to serve the scientist a hearty foot long sock to the face surprise packed with insults and threats. Guess it ain’t exactly a surprise that someone whose been through all the weird tortures she’s just described wouldn’t be of right mind, but what makes her want to bear her fangs at the scientist. First impressions? Looks? Madness? Or maybe she just the overly possessive type. The first time she saw Clara was with her mysterious honey boo, so maybe that’s what’s got her hostility flaring on all sides. Either way, might wanna try and get on this mad cow’s good side, else she might wind up with a whole platter of ass kicking shoved down her throat.
And just like that do those ten minutes go by, the train coming to a grinding stop upon the rusted tracks. One by one do the crew rush out of the cart, their punk leader giving them a slap on the ass as they roll out. “C’mon, ladies and gents. I wanna see some passion out there. Lets move it.” Clara being that last to exit, the punk delivers a particularly hard slap to her lab coated ass, the smack making her let out a swift yelp. With their leader swiftly taking the front, they’re lead over the subway toll dividing the lobby from the tracks; the scientist nearly trips upon the rustic steel back. Regaining her balance, she rushes back towards the crew starting to ascend a set of concrete stairs.
Near the end of the steps, a plank barricade threatens to halt their ascent, the sunlight leaking out from the gaps of the wood. Approaching the blockade, the punk kisses her knuckle before she tucks in her fist and readies to swing. With but a single strike, Shoa quite literally punches her way through the wooden barrier; planks of wood flying through the air as they exit from the concrete tunnels.
Rushing through the crack and abandoned streets, Clara takes in the fresh open air once more. So glad to be out of those musty tunnels. Rather take the industrial air of the city over the scent of rust and feces any day. The waning twilight also proves to be a fresh change of scenery, the sunset beaming out from the brunt down homes and decaying buildings. She’s not able to enjoy the great outdoors for long however as her and the rest of the crew are lead down an alleyway. Down the brick corridor do all of them come to a black van, free from a brand name or license plate. Kind of makes sense to have an unmarked vehicle, what with the traffic patrols around here and such. Even so, looks a little familiar. Wonder why? Before she has time to dwell on such familiarity, she’s pulled into the back with the rest of her teammates. The scientist squeezes her figure between her crew mates and the firearms. From her seat, she finds the rest of the crew fairing no better in space, stuck between themselves, the guns, and these strange purple squares as big as briefcases. Once the doors behind them were shut, the van drives out from the alley and into the busy streets of Niagara.
As the van swerves and weaves throughout traffic, the crew stuck in the back are tossed about alongside the supplies; one of the square devices smacking themselves upon the scientist faces in the chaos. Shoa holds onto the handle resting atop the window as she grips the passenger seat; the driver beside her rapidly spinning the wheel in his efforts to avoid an accident.
Soon, the ride begins to smooth out, a sigh escaping from the punk in the passenger seat. “Dammit Pete! Easy with the wheel! Don’t want the cargo to go off before we even get there.” “Sorry boss.” After mouthing off the driver, Shoa turns her gaze towards her team in the back; the crew buried among themselves and the firearms. “As for the rest of you. Get yer asses up off the floor, cause we’ll be at the power plant sooner than you think.” Pulling themselves out from the pile of guns and purple, the words of their impatient captain reach their ears. “Now, raise your hand if know how to handle a gun.” Upon that request do over half of the people in the back hold their hands up high, Clara nearly joining them to volunteer. Her arm halfway up however, the scientist begins to realize that she has very little in terms of experience and begins to lower her palm back down. Sure, she’s wielded the occasional pistol and rifle every now and again; but not enough have any expertise on the art of firearms. This physicist ain’t no marksmen She won’t be making anybody shit their pants anytime soon.
The punk swiftly takes count of the number of hands up, finishing her count with: “Right then, the pansies that didn't raise their hands are on bomb duty.” Declaring that, she reaches out for one of the purple squares littering the pile of guns with but a single hand. “While the two guns with ya will be covering your cowardly asses, you’ll be hauling these homemade bad boys through the halls of the plant, making sure they don’t get shot or go off early. If ya manage that, it’ll be on you to arm these puppies once you stick em to the cores. And like I said before, once one of you rig them to blow, get in touch with everyone and warm em. At that point, you’ll get 30 minutes to book it outta there before the place turns into a maelstrom of flaming metal and sparking lights.” “W-what do these cores look like?” someone wonders aloud. “Oh, you’ll know when you see,em. Trust me.”
The guns and bombs being passed out like party favors, a question can’t help but slip through Clara’s lips “And might I ask what you might be doing in all this?” “Who, me? While the rest of you scramble to the core, trying to not get yer asses shot down, I’m gonna be holding the Canadian forces back to try and give you people time to work your magic.” “All by yourself?” “Yep, like to see those armored assholes try and land a shot on me. Now, as much of a bad bitch I am, I ain’t perfect. Couple of those sneaky bastards might slip past me. So be on your guard. Never know when one of them might pop out of a hallway and shove their rifles down yer throat.”
Out from the front window of the van, the site of an odd building comes into view. “Is that...” “Yep, feast your eyes, bitches. A genuine Canadian power plant.” Right upon the first sight, this particular facility makes itself distinct from the neighboring buildings; sporting a new, more sleek design in comparison to the rustic and patched ones surrounding it. Kind of seeing a pattern here.
Driving past the parking lot of the plant, the van cruise its way into a dark alleyway not too far away. Once deep enough down the alley; the van is quickly driven between the gap; Clara and the rest of the crew pouring out of the back as soon as they come to a stop. Hoping out from the passengers seat, Shoa swiftly jumps to the front; demanding the entire team to: “Alright boys, its almost showtime. Get your shit together and follow me.” Upon her orders does the whole team tails their punk captain down the alley, Clara struggling to keep up as she heaves one of the bombs in her arms. Figure these things would be pretty light given how Shoa handled one of them like an empty pizza box earlier. But nope! Turns out these hefty explosives weigh on par with a cement block. Probably could bludgeon someones head in with one swing of it.
Their stealthy endeavors soon come to a stop, Clara bumping into the masked gunner in front of her upon the sudden halt. The gun turns back towards the scientist, Clara slightly backing away with a nervous chuckle escaping from her mask. Peeking out behind the gunmen, she finds the crew having stopped in front of an opening shining forth a bright orange light. Must lead out into the streets. Makes sense to stop then. No doubt that seeing a bunch of weirdo’s dressed in animal masks carrying around guns and bizarre purple boxes down an alley would raise some panicking concerns and rifle barrels there way.
“Shit. Didn’t think it be this busy.” Turning away from the blinding light, the punk leaders looks to her crew “Alright, assholes. Here’s what’s gonna happen. We’re gonna bolt through this opening in groups of three. When I give the word, y’all gonna run like the last runner on home, ya hear?” Upon those orders do the crew ready to rush past the twilight opening, Clara hoisting her heavy load for a better grip. Might be kind of a pain to rush on through with such a hefty burden, especially such a light weight build as hers. But maybe if she manages to take advantage of the bombs weight, she can fling herself towards the other side. A long shot, but one that might just work.
Peeking out the corner, Shao raises her hand in front of her crew, the men and women behind her anticipating for her order. Her hand pointing to the other side, a group of three zooms past, their shadows plastering upon the sun kissed wall. Once those three make it back into the shadow, the punk commands another three to zip by. 3 by 3 do the crew rush through the light, Clara edging closer and closer to her punk leader. Finally all that was left was her and Shoa, their figures mere inches from the waning sunset. “Alright, bitch. Your up.” Hearing this, the scientist begins to swing the bomb in place, the punk beside her worried at what she might be up to. “Uh, the hell are you doing?” Before that question could be asked, Shoa sees the scientist throws herself with the bomb towards the other side. Both of them are flung into the air the bright sunset beating down upon their side. Right when she nears the edge of the shadows, Clara lands upon the concrete with a hard thump. “God dammit!” Darting forward, the punk grabs hold of the scientist as she zooms past and quite literally drags her into the darkness.
Once Clara is cloaked in the darkness, she rises from the concrete; the first site she bares witness two being Shoa’s glare. “Just what the hell is wrong with you!? Did swimming in all that sewer water rot your brains!? Your lucky these things are impact resistant, else our ashes would be scattered through this whole alley by now!” “I-I thought I could fly past by throwing myself with its weight.” Inches from Clara’s canine snout, the punk gives only a single bit of advice: “How about next time you get one of your bright idea’s, trying to not do it with something that can blow up in our faces.”
The team continuing onward, the scientist peeks out of the open alleyway; beyond the sunset, she finds the passersby have not noticed her or her plunder. Okay Clara, could have managed all that a little bit better. But at least no one out in the streets held witness to your blunder. And that’s really the only thing that matters, right?
Moving past the dividing light, the crew sneaks towards the back of the plant, Clara taking a much tighter grip of her bomb. When finally near the back, all of them run into a slight snag in their plans: a lone staff member, taking a smoke break beside the door. Seeing the man lounging upon the sleek wall of the plant, Shoa quietly curses. “Dammit! Why now of all times does this jackass think it’d be a good time to smoke his joint? Fucking weasel might lock the door and rat us out if we try and jump in now.” In the punks anger, Clara scoots to her side and gives her own opinion on the matter with: “Relax. I’m sure it won’t be too much longer before he heads back inside. Let’s just wait him out.” “Screw that shit. Who know long that’ll take before were busted. Besides...” From her backside, the punk unsheathes her machetes; the scent of rusty blood escaping from the scabbard. “Can’t stand the thought of waiting.”
Its after that statement that Shoa jumps out from the cover of darkness, lunging towards the lounging employee. Finding the punk swiftly on the approach, the worker rushes for the door, his smoke dropping out of his mouth in his hurry. Right when the mans palm was resting on the handle, his jugular is sliced open; cherry red blood spilling upon the concrete as he falls.
That potential witness having been dispatched, she calls for her crew with a hand signal to approach. Her team gathering, the punk gives to them one final warning before they move. “Alright, hope everyone here’s ready for a marathon, cause once we break through those doors, y’all ain’t stopping til you get to those cores. Got it?” With that out of the way, the crew take their positions facing the back door. As the team prepare to barge in the plant, Clara can not help but stare down upon the corpse of the executed employee. Poor bastard never could’ve guessed that this would be his last day upon this mortal coil. Probably could have avoided his gruesome fate all together if he wasn’t so dependent on his nicotine. Wrong place at wrong time, I suppose. Kind of brings up old memories of that time in Louisville; seeing countless corpses of resistance teammates, guards, and civilians. Wonder how Barely is doing?
From inside the power plant, dozens of other employees venture through the halls decorated with bright displays and blinking machinery; some of them taking note of the plants statues and regulating power. The catwalks lining the halls carry other workers as they roam the facility, watching the glass windows to their side. One particularly upset worker furiously bangs on the back door; barking beyond the steel with: “Jerry, when the hell are you gonna come back in!? I’m done covering your shift so you can get your daily smoke. I swear, I’m gonna take that joint of yours and shove it up your-” Before her empty threat could finish, the back door swings wide open; its hard steel striking the employee down. From earshot of the slam do all the nearby workers gaze in its direction, witnessing a band of animal masked guns forcing their way in. Finding their barrels aimed in their direction, all the employee’s start to scatter away from the intruding bunch, their panicked screams echoing through the halls alongside their running footsteps. Sad to say that some them fail to flee from the guns, as they’re quickly shot at from behind.
The machine decorated halls having been cleaned out of living employee’s, Shoa and her crew move in; the punk quickly briefing her orders before departing. “Alright, ladies. Only got one shot to do this. Move out!” Upon that order does the crew split into groups of three, one with a box accompanied by two guns. Clara starting to sprint through the corridors, she takes a look back towards the corpse left behind; worry beginning to root itself into her consciousness.
As the scientist is escorted through the halls with the bomb in her arms, she can’t help but bare witness to the two guns aiding in her escort open fire on whatever stood in their path. One worker attempts to approach with a screwdriver in hand, ready to end their assault right then and there. But her attack proves utterly fruitless against the teams firepower and the foolishly brave employee is decorated with bullet wounds. Another attempts to call for help as they run across the catwalk, warning everyone about the trios approach as he passes through. “No you don’t.” one of the guns utters; aiming his barrel towards the passing employee. His warning don’t reach far as one of the guns aims above and silences his panicking once and for all. Jeez, these guys are merciless. The word overkill might be best applied here. Guy wasn’t even trying to fight back. At least the resistance back in Louisville gave the unarmed a chance to flee before unloading their clips.
Ahead, the trio witness some of the workers retreating into the rooms upon the sides of the hallway; the doors shutting behind them with a loud bang. Rather then halt in their sprint through the halls to peek inside and gun them all down, the armed escorts simply ignore the hiding employee’s and continue on ahead. Wonder why they didn’t just gun them all down too? Was it mercy? Waste too much time? Not worth the led? Questions that swirl in the scientist mind as they continue to sprint down the halls.
Venturing further down the corridors, the echo of a manly shout causes Clara and the guns to halt in their tracks. “Halt!” With that demand do the lights in the hall dim, the guns aiming around for the origin of the call. Looking above, Clara draws the attention of the guns in front of her with: “Up there.” Their gaze rising towards the catwalk, all three of them spot a light shining down upon a costumed figure holding a massive wrench hoisted above his shoulder; a long tail coming out from his behind. “Your terrorizing assault on this plant will advance no further. For you now face the industrial might of… The Might Monkey wrench!” Upon the cry of his name does the man hold his wrench high; a brilliant gleam emanating from behind his massive build. The blinding light forces all who face him to shield their eyes from the glow.
“I know what questions dwell within your head, the thoughts that your minds wonder towards. “Who is he? Why is he dressed like that? Why in the world does he need a wrench that massive?” I bet your just dying to find out, aren’t you?” Her gaze still shielded from the illuminating glow, all the canine masked scientist could utter was: “Ahh...Not reall-” “Very well, before I enact the justice you people deserve, I shall reveal the heart breaking tale of my origin.”
“As a young man growing up in a small radioactive town in the state of Minnesota, I have always had a passion for the tools of construction. As I worked to repair one of the radioactive siphons of our humble village, my toolbox had took the plunge within the highly nuclear waste. My heart had been struck with an intense fear, my favorite tools I had treasured ever since by papa gave to me before passing away when I was a wee baby boy of age 6, gone; melted by the cruel chemical compound of the radioactive waste. But as my hopes and dreams were melting before my eyes, a miraculous site played before me. My wrench, having grown in size upon the radiation, jumped out from the deadly green sludge and towards its master. Overjoyed by my tools survival, I stretched my arms and awaited to embrace its handle once more. Holding its steel, I felt an overwhelming sensation flow through my body. At first I thought it was the love for my precious tool return, but no. Instead, it showed itself to be a powerful transformation surging through my entire being. My muscles grew tenfold, strong enough to lift a hauling truck with ease. Out from my back sprouted a tail, one that reached as far as my head.
Using my newfound strength to aid the people of my town, I quickly gained the attention of our Canadian neighbors. Approaching me, they offered to take me to one of their facilities where they were researching super human abilities. At first I declined, mentioning how I could help my people with the gift I had been bestowed with. But then, they revealed to me a deal that I could not refuse. Salvation, for the entirety of my village. A one way ticket out from the hellish remains of the ruins. Agreeing to their demands, my friends and family had been flown to better parts of the north, free from the hardships of hunger and thirst; all while I had been whisked away to train under the maple leaved army. For years, I had spent being experimented and trained under their command, honing by body and perfecting my skills with my trusty giant wrench.
To that day, I have sworn my loyalty and allegiance to the Canadian forces and have vowed to protect and serve their citizens from the likes of dastardly villains such as your-” Right when the might monkey wrench was nearing the finish of his grand tale, dozens of led bullets pierce their way through his chest. The countless shots cause him to descend from the catwalk, the costumed figures tossing his wrench as he drops. The masked monkey wrench falls upon the tile floor, a splatter of blood spurting out of his body upon impact. In his stupor, he attempts to reach out for Clara and the guns, uttering his final words. “I-I won’t let-” Just as his overly winded origin story has led to his ironic demise, so too does his trusty wrench; the blunt end of the tool crushing his head in fell swoop. Watching as his reaching arm drops upon the floor, Clara and the guns look to each other. Even with their faces masked, it was pretty obvious to one another what was going through their minds right now.
Just what the hell was all that about!? Poppin out of nowhere and babbling on and on about his giant wrench or something. That whole spiel and a half just for the guy to be nothing but costumed weirdo obviously compensating for something. Sounds like something a condescending jackass would make up to pad out a story’s length.
Anyway, the trio continue down the corridor; sidestepping away from the masked monkey wrenches beheaded corpse before picking the pace back up. Best to just talk about the weird shit later; there’s still a job to be done.
Upon turning the corner, the guns almost immediately back away; a sudden ray nearly blowing their heads off. In their abrupt retreat, they cause Clara to tumble on the hard tile floor. Hissing on her sudden knockback, the scientist rubs her back as she rises back up, barking to her escorts: “Ah! What was that about!” “We got ourselves a problem.” “Huh?” Fancying a peek out into the hall, she finds a lone Canadian soldier, pointing its rifle down the machine decorated corridor. The guard takes aim towards the corner; a barrage of beams burst out from the rifles barrels. Clara and the guns retreat back to cover right before their head could be fried by the rays. “Great. Of all the teams that this asshole had to ambush, ours had to be the winning number, didn’t it?” the other gun complains.
From the corner, one of the scientists escorts unloads his clip down the choke point; taking cover whenever a laser is fired his way. “How’s ya doing down there?” “No good. Bullets just bounce right off his monster.” Curious if the masked man’s words rang true, Clara fancies a look down the corridor. Just as the man claims; no matter how much led his unloaded on its shiny metal; the shots simply bounce of the soldiers thick titanium armor plating. Finding the seemingly unstoppable soldier slowly encroaching towards the corner, the scientist looks towards the Canadians surroundings in hopes of stopping its assault.
Need to find a leverage against that armored monster, fast. Gotta be something around here that can be taken advantage off. To that end, she peek to the catwalk overhead, noticing a piece of the metal walkway showing to be loose from the others. Below be one of the massive panels used to check power statues; a small gap showing itself between it and the wall. Taking note of all this, a strategy swiftly begins to form in the scientist head.
Wishing to test her hypothesis; she sets the bomb down and grabs hold of one of her guns firearms. “Mind if I borrow this, thanks.” the scientist swiftly says before swiping the weapon from his grasp. “H-hey! Wait a sec!” Peeking behind the corner alongside the other gun, she unloads a whole clips upon the loose catwalk, her aim being less then on point. But with several wayward shots does she manage to break the metal off its screws. Before she could see the results of her endeavors play out, Clara is jerked back into cover before her head could be sniped off. Once behind the wall, the masked gun takes his firearms back from the scientist grasp. “Gimme that! What the hell’s wrong with you!? You trying to waste our ammo!?” “I did not waste a thing, okay. Look up to the catwalk.” As the scientist had suggested, both guns peek out towards the catwalk ahead, seeing the metal walkway slide off its hinges. From above, the piece of the metal slams down upon the machine below, knocking it off balance and sending it tumbling down towards the guard below. Seeing the machine to the side threatening to slam down, the soldier attempts to rush out of its descent. The guard however, fails to evade in time and the panel comes crashing down upon him in a crash of sparking metal. “Holy shit!” one of the guns exclaims. The guard attempts to lift the heavy panel off its person; reaching out for the trio around the corner. However, the overwhelming shock from the busted machine soon thwarts his efforts, the heavy steel coming down upon the soldier once more.
As Clara returns her grasp towards the purple boxed bomb, the guns approach the wreckage; nearing one of the soldiers arms sticking out from the broken machine. Poking the outward arm with the end of the barrel, one of the gun’s wonder aloud: “You think it’s dead?” “Has to be. Never seen anybody live through a crash that bad.” Walking past them with the bomb in her arms, the scientist asks for her escorts to: “C’mon. Who knows how much time we’ve burnt.” Keeping their eyes upon the wreck before they turn the corner, the two guns follow Clara down the corridor; a flow of electricity emitting out from the Canadian guards arm.
As they run through a room full of what seemed to be turbines, the radio on one of the guns side goes off. From the radio’s speakers, one of the teams warns the others with: “Come in, all teams in the plant. We have armed the bomb to the core and is counting down as we speak. All of you have less then 30 minutes to plant the rest and get out while you can. So move yer asses!” Once the radio goes silent, all three of them pick up the pace; blazing through the turbine room as fast as their legs could carry.
Against the clock, the trio race through the halls of the plant as dozens of plant employee’s rush past. A worker to their front flings a mallet towards the trio in an effort to halt their hasty progress. The hammer careening towards the scientist, Clara jumps out of the flying tools way; tightly gripping the bomb in her dodge. Not making the same mistake twice here. This bad boys ain’t gonna be having an explosive reunion with the ground anytime soon. In retaliation, the guns fire a couple rounds in the pitchers direction, the mans yellow vest now sporting spots of red.
Finally, all of them rush into a massive room baring a glass orb in its middle. The glass rests atop a tall transparent pillar; thousands of pink electrical volts swimming through the entire translucent structure. The casing before them sparks a familiar dread within the scientist, recognizing the towering structure in similar vein to the green core back in New Boro’s. The haunting image of those mutated refugees trapped behind those glass cages will forever burned into her very mind.
The whistle of one of the guns reaching her ears, snaps Clara out of her reminiscent trance. “Damn. This thing is gigantic.” “Yeah. How you wanna bet this oversized glass sculpture’s the core?” “It’d be a pretty safe bet to make.” Turning towards the scientist, one of the guns asks her if: “You’ve seen something like this before?” “Something like it, yeah.” “Well, go on then. Stick the bomb to it. Don’t know how long we got before this place goes up in smoke.” Just as the gunmen had order, Clara begins to approach the glowing pink tower.
Nearing the base of the bright pink core, Clara readies to put the bomb in place. Attempting to stick the explosive onto the glass, she finds the purple box to simply slide to the floor. Looking at its reflective yellow back, the scientist wonders how to make the bomb actually stick. One of the guns manages to get her attention, telling her to: “Ya gotta remove the plastic foil first.” “Hurry, dammit! Before we’re all blown straight to-” Right upon the guns urgency, a worker pounces out from the corridor with a screw driver in hand. Before his partner could open fire upon the approaching employee, the worker jumps him, jamming the sharp end of his tool into the guns eye socket. Witnessing the guns blood stain his mask as he screams out in the chaos, Clara quickly turn back towards the pipe and peels the plastic foil right off the back. The gunshots reaching her ears, Clara sticks the bomb on the transparent tube.
Gazing to the front of the homemade explosive, one enigma rattles the scientists mind. How in ever loving hell do you work this thing? That punk ass bitch never gave a lick of an explanation on how to actually arm these bad boys. Only thing to come out of her mouth was: “Duh, just get to the core and stick these boxes on.” Ah well, can’t be that hard. Only three and buttons and an LED screen on here. One of them’s gotta arm it.
Cautiously, Clara’s finger makes its way to the blue button first. Not really much of an expert on bomb design, but blue seems like a good color to start with. Pressing the indigo button causes an alarm to blare from the box; the chaotic screaming and gunshots combining with it quickly overwhelming the scientists hearing. Desperate to silents the box’s wails, Clara mashes the same button repeatedly until the loud blaring ceases. Alright, not as graceful as a start as you wished it would be. But hey, that’s what trail and error is all about, right? Hopefully, the green button next to the blue one will be the right one to start with.
And to her delight, the green button causes the LED screen to light up, alongside letting out an announcement in spliced together voice clips. “This bomb is- rigged to blow- boom goes the dynamite- Press the next button- to send this baby rollin- Punch this cow, man...” Okay…one step down at least. Lets hope the next step don’t result in their bodies being served extra crispy with a side of ketchup.
Maybe the red button next?...Nah, best not. Red isn’t particularly a promising color. How about the blue button again? Pressing that button causes a set of numbers to display on screen, the LED displaying 30 minutes. Yes! Only one button left and this bomb will be set to blow.
A wayward bullet grazing past the front of her face serves as a very effective reminder to hurry. Facing the explosive, she quickly cuts the bullshit and presses the only button left to push. The crimson button pressed, the numbers immediately start to countdown. Right. Got this puppy set to make fireworks outta this core. Just need to scram before the show takes an early start.
Turning towards the exits, she bares witness to the aftermath of the fight that took place from behind; the corpses of the gunmen and the worker bleeding out on the floor. “Are you alright?” the scientist wonders as she approaches the remaining gun. “Yeah...You set the bomb?” “Yeah...” “Good. Let’s go.” With that said, Clara and the gun begin to head away from the Core, butnot without the masked gunmen taking a glimpse back towards the body of his partner. “See ya, Ted. Hope they have tons of macaroni and cheese wherever your heading.” His final words to his comrade spent, the gun starts to follow after the scientist.
In their race through the wrecked corridors of the plant, they catch sight of the many corpses set along the halls. As morbid a scene it is, it at least helps the duo retrace their steps towards the exit. Seems like this escape might actually go as smooth as Angelo’s silk. Damn bear spider for up and leaving me out in the middle of the city like that. Don’t need her hairy thorax to get across that stupid wall anyway. But alas, their attempted departure soon runs into an unexpected snag.
In their trace back towards the exit they barged into, they soon run come across the downed machine that Clara had knocked over earlier; the Canadian soldier still under the broken panel. Right after they hop over the sparking wreckage, the heavy machinery suddenly rockets off the floor. Both the scientist and the gun look back, witnessing the armored guard rising from its supposed stupor as electricity flows through its titanium plating. After punching the broken panel right off its back, the soldier takes aim down the corridor towards the two. Coming to the intersection ahead, a single demand is all that he as time to let out. “Split up!” Just as ordered, Clara and the masked gunman go their separate ways in attempts to lose the reawakened Canadian; evading the soldiers searing rays. Looking back, the scientist finds the armored guard to be in pursuit of the gun. Though relieved to be out of immediate danger, she knew that this encounter had left her completely defenseless. The rest of the trip out of this soon to be molten crater might turn into a rough one, that much is certain.
Wagering that she has about 17 minutes left on the clock, Clara races through the hall with but one question on her mind. Which way is the exit in this place? All these hallways look the damn same, it’s hard to tell where the hell you are. It don’t help that the exit signs have been shot off the ceiling in the chaos. Jeez, racing against the clock is bad enough, now she’s gotta out run the timer in what’s basically a confusing maze. Ya know what, no. Now’s not the time for negative thinking. Gotta stay positive in this. She’ll find her way outta this maze in time, no matter what her nemesis, chaos theory dares to throw at her.
Right upon that thought, she turns the corner to find a whole squadron of Canadian soldiers running down the hall in her direction. On that site, she turns at the step and bolts down the other way; a barrage of lasers passing her side as she flees. Clara begins to question why she even bothers at this point.
Seeing her turn the corner, the battalion of soldier pursue the masked scientist with their rifles at the ready. Upon the turn are they dumbfounded to find their target nowhere in site, seemingly having vanished entirely from the halls. No matter where they look, the armored army fails to find a single sign of her. In reality however, the scientist had hide herself above the catwalk; crouching near the corner to conceal as much of her body as possible. The constant metal steps of the troops in her ears, she coils her body into the corner as deep as she can, hoping that they would not catch a glimpse of her lab coat.
In their search, one of them looks towards a ladder ascending up to the catwalk, noticing droplets of sweat dripping out from the gaps of the metal. The soldier tempts to investigate the drips above, when a loud bang coming from behind makes the guard halt in its tracks. Looking towards their backs, the battalion find an incoming punk brandishing a machete swiftly approaching; her crazed eyes locking upon the troops as they see her near. Quickly taking aim, the squad fires down the hall in hopes of halting her charge; Shoa leaping high over their laser shots. In her descend down, she lands upon one of the soldiers helms, her overwhelming crash knocking the soldiers metal ass to the tile and crushing its head in a single bloody stomp. Upon landing does she toss her machete towards another soldier to her front, the blade piercing through the guards thick armor plating. Dashing forwards with an upsetting laugh, she grabs hold of her machetes handle and kicks the corpse towards the opposing army. The battalion knocked over like a set of pin, struggle to quickly rise as their foe approaches.
One of them manages to get up before the others, taking their aim towards the punk. However, the soldiers efforts prove to be too late as Shoa gets right up in the guards face and grasps at his arms. Pulling upon the guards limbs, she rips them right off as effortlessly as pulling wet cardboard. Right when she tore the arms off, the punk smacks their owner with them in a sprinkle of titanium shards and crimson. As the soldier before her fell to the wayside, Shoa witnessed several of its comrades aim their sites upon her. Upon firing their rifles, a barrage of rays streak their way towards her direction; a smile stretching across the punks face. With nothing but her trusty blade, she deflects the lasers towards the ceiling above; the roof cracking upon the blasts. Almost immediately, the roof collapses; the rubble landing upon the opposing army before her. Buried under the chunks of roof and light fixtures, nothing stopped Shoa from advancing her rampage against the Canadian forces; the punk continuing to run down the halls with a war cry.
Having witness this slaughter firsthand, Clara’s body can’t help but shake in pure terror. Just one of those soldiers were enough to stop her and her escorts dead in their tracks, a foe that she had to calculate around in order to bypass. But her punk leader didn’t even have to think at all to mow a dozen of them down with nothing but her own strength and a machete. Thinking back to what she said back on the train ride about her time in their torturous clutches, she wonders what kind of experimentation they made her undergone to become such an unstoppable force; one that possesses a grudge against the scientist no less. The very thought makes her want to run as far away from such a monster as possible.
Except...it’s likely that tailing the merciless punk might led to the exit in time; Clara knowing that she doesn’t have much other options under her belt by this point. Rising from the metal platform with a weary sigh, the scientist begins to follow the punks footsteps in hope of making her swift escape.
Above the catwalk does she pursue the punk at a safe distance, careful not to alert Shoa in her dash through the hall. Doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to understand why you shouldn’t let a woman like that realize your chasing them. Gonna need to exercise extreme caution if she doesn’t wanna wind up with a machete stuck in her stomach.
Before the punk turns the corner, she takes a look towards her back upon the sound of metal steps reaching her ears. Behind her, she finds nothing but the corpses of workers and soldiers along the sides, their blood spilling upon the cracks of the tile. Seeing nobody on her tail, she continues ahead down the corridor.
From behind the corner, quietly heavy breaths escape from the scientist lungs. Nervous sweat soaking through her canine like ski mask, Clara peeks behind the corner to find Shoa having left. After that terrifying close call, she reluctantly continues her pursuit of the punk in hopes of finding an escape. Estimating to have around 13 minutes left, she picks up the pace.
In her race along the side of the corridor, she soon comes to the end of the catwalk; not hesitating a single moment to jump off the metal path. Landing upon the tile floor, she looks ahead to find yet another split path in the hall; a groan leaving past her lips. The scientist takes a look in both opposing directions, wondering which one her punk leader might have taken. Thinking that she might have better luck hearing Shoa’s rampage, she listens down both halls for any sign of her incessant rampage. To that end, her ears catch the noise of muffled screaming and constant banging metal from the left. Has to be the way that maniac went. Who else can possibly make that kinda chaotic symphony of madness and agony? Following the shrieks and screams, the scientist rushes down the left corridor in hopes of finding an escape.
The constant sound of panic and terror growing louder, she start to slow herself down to a stealthy pace nearing the corner. Don’t want to just pop out in the middle of a fight while that mad cow is raging against a battalion of unlucky soldiers. Could easily wind up taking a fist to the face with that kind of recklessness.
Stopping at the corner, she peeks out towards the hall, prepared to duck back in case a wayward beam decide to get intimate with her head. To surprise however, she finds the corridor devoid of any life; nothing but knocked over equipment and more corpses. Coming out from the corner, she wonders what else could be making such a panicking racket. If it ain’t a blood bath taking place, what else could it be?
Its through the hall that she comes across a window that let her peer in to find a very pitiable site. The break room, filled with cowering and screaming employee’s worked up in a panic. Some were whimpering in the corner, praying for somebody to save them from their gruesome end. Others could be found trying to break through the glass with whatever they could lift. One of them could be seen trying to pry the grid off the air vent with nothing but their bare hands. Another was tempting to bang upon the door left at the side of the window, a heavy filing cabinet left barricading them within. Even from the other side of the glass, she could hear their please and prayers, their screams and sobs, their cries and cursing. Upon the discovery of these horrible scene are her suspicion finally confirmed. These workers are just regular citizens. Ordinary, American citizens trying to make a simple living working at this Canadian power plant. A lot of them didn’t even fight back, but were mowed down all the same.
The realization drawing sympathy from the scientist and with less than 10 minutes left on the clock, she begins to push the heavy cabinet in an attempt to rescue the trapped employee’s. Though no matter how hard she pushed, she couldn’t nudge the box even an inch. Good god, this thing is only made of aluminum; how the hell does it weigh so much? Just how many classified documents do these guys stuffed in here? Opening one of the drawers let out an inhuman scream of madness and mayhem out into the air. It would only get a second to shout before Clara swiftly shuts the drawer. Alright, seem lightening its load ain’t much of an option. Gonna need to find someway to destroy it. Quickly scanning her surroundings, the scientist manages to find the corpse of a soldier with a laser rifle left in its grasps. Just what the doctor ordered.
Lapping up the advance firearms out from the cadavers hands, she aims towards the filing cabinet. Pulling the guns trigger however lets only sparks fly out from the end of the barrel. Well that’s just perfect. Finally get some hands on one of these beasts and it winds up broken. Still, probably could pry some use outta this piece of junk. Maybe could wedge it under the cabinet and knock it down to the floor. The question being what to wedge it between?
Another look around showed not much else besides broken machines and chunks of rubble. Can’t really lift any of that with her lack of muscle growth. But still, the scientist proceed to grasp a chunk of machinery with but her arms, dragging its steel across the tile floor towards the cabinet. Once next to the aluminum box, she lifts the cabinet just enough to wedge the broken gun under it. Pushing the rifle down between it and the broken panel, she slowly begins to pry the cabinet off the floor and out of the doors way. Wishing to bust the workers out as swiftly as possible, Clara throws her entire weight down upon the gun, lifting the cabinet a ways off the floor. Before the box could completely topple over however, the sudden weight shift snaps the firearms in half. Surprised by the rifles unexpected snap, she soon finds the cabinet tempting to fall back into place. Acting fast, Clara tackles the descending filing cabinet, throwing her entire body upon the aluminum box.
Once the cabinet has been knocked over, the door to the break room swings open; one employee bursting out from the inside with heavy breaths passing through his mouth. “Guys!...I got it open! We’re free!” he screams out. Another worker soon rushes out, claiming to the others that: “I know where the exit is, come on!” Eager for their escape, the dozens of other employee’s spill out into the halls like a pack of loose mice and follow the lady’s lead. Unbeknownst to them, their true savior rises from behind the door, watching as the mob rushes through the blood soaked halls. If what that woman said held any truth, then it might be in the scientist best interest to tail her as well. Though she knows better than to just follow right at their backs. If any of them have caught on to whats happening by this point, then the mere site of Clara would send all of them scattering. Beyond the cabinet does the scientist begin to pursue the escaping crowd, peeking out from behind the corner once she reaches the turn. Seeing all the employees turn the right corner, she continues to give close chase.
As Clara keeps to the workers back, she begins to take note of the halls they travel through. The bloody bodies littering the tiled floor look oddly familiar, not just cause she’s seen countless others before. The position of the corpses and their wounds, the bullet holes decorating the walls, the sparking panels and machinery; something about the scenes just inflicted her with a fierce beat down of deja vu to her brains.
Before she could finish her thought, the sudden echo of gunfire pierce through the scientist ears. She pays no mind to the sudden sound of bullets however as she peeks out from behind the corner; finding the very door her and the others burst into. Rushing towards the exit, relief soon begins to settle in her mind, knowing that she still has about 5 minutes left to make her escape out from this hellish nightmare.
Upon making it out of the plant, that relief is soon erased; horror soon creeping in to take its place upon the terrifying picture set before her. The dead bodies of the workers that Clara had rescued, piled together in a blood soaked mess right at the door. Beyond the mound of flesh stood Shoa and half of her crew, their firearms smoking out from the barrel. “Nice job there, boys. Couldn’t risk any of them tailing us. Better fate for them as any. The damn traitors.” Right after handing out praise to her team does she notice the scientist standing behind the bloody mess. “We-ell, what do we have here? Honestly surprised your lab coated ass made it out without a scratch. Kudo’s.” Though hearing her praise clearly, she fails to give even a single hint of a response, her site still locked onto the crew. “Alright people. Let’s shove and fuck off on out here. Only got a couple minute before this place blows its payload like a worn out widower. Let’s move!” Her order given, the punk and her crew abscond from the back of the plant down the alley they arrived. Breaking out from her trance, the scientist follows soon after.
Dashing through the alley, they dare not bother sneaking through the opening gap leading to the streets, the nightly vial of darkness giving them all the perfect cover from the public eye. In their swift rush, all of them pile into the back of the van, Shoa hoping into the passengers seat as she screams: “Pete, punch this bitch outta here!” Upon her command does the driver slam on the gas; the unmarked van dashing out into the streets; a pair of Canadian chasers soon on their tale.
As the van speeds and swerves through the roads with the Canadian forces in pursuit, Clara and the rest of the crew hang onto whatever the can to keep from being tossed around in the back. Once the ride had smoothed out, their punk leader takes a look back towards the team, admitting out loud. “Hey, science bi- uh, chick. Ted told me about what you did back in the plant. How you manage to take out an armored soldier with just a couple bullets. Gotta admit that not a lot of people can take down those maple leaved motherfuckers single handedly.” Hearing the rest of Shoa’s honest sounding praise, Clara takes off her canine like mask. “I might have been a bit too rough on ya when we first met. Seeing you alongside my Dandy baby just riled me up is all. I...Sorry about all things I said.” Almost everyone in the van gasps upon hearing her words; gazing upon both her and the scientist. “Did she say what I think she did?” “An apology?” “I’ve never heard those words come out of her unless it was a threat.” “Truly a once in a lifetime moment.” “Even more of a rare sight then finding a leprechaun riding a dragon unicorn fairy.” These constant mutterings soon deflate the punks smile, demanding that they: “All of y’all shut yer damn holes! Else each of you is gonna wind up being sorry.” Finally, the bombs in the plant behind them comes to an explosive climax, the fiery boom consuming it and all that surrounded it in a wave of flames and ash. The van soon makes a sharp turn around the corner to evade the blazing wave, everyone inside jerked by the tight right. “Ah! Come on, Pete! Quit jerking the wheel. Gonna make us all fly out the way your driven.” “Sorry, boss. The van hasn’t been turning right ever since it crashed its side into the wall this morning.”
Although Shoa’s honest apology does reach, it is the furthest thing on the scientists minds, having realized the situation that she’s found herself in. Clara had not joined the ranks of a rag tag brigade of humble resistance fighters. Nay, the scientist had aligned herself to a merciless and bloodthirsty terrorist cell.
