Ever find f/f lukewarm? (It’s not you, it’s an industrial complex.) My intention here is to collect canonical sapphic rep that avoids the flat “girl meets girl” trope, where two women with doubtful chemistry are made to get together simply because they exist in the same narrative. The more "Blitz is actually gay" headcanons I see, the harder I'm gonna go with "Blitz had actual feelings for Verosika".

Not to mention, so often when I see this topic discussed it's always only about "was he in love or not", even though relationships aren't as black and white as "love or no love", there's a lot more grey area to the (romantic) feelings you can have for someone.

I strongly believe Blitz had actual feelings for Verosika while they dated, he just got scared when she tried to bring love into it (it's literally canon he has commitment issues). And over the 5+ years they've broken up, any feelings he had for her faded away. But still, beneath all that hatred and anger that's festered over the years, he still cares about her as a person.

Also hot take, even if Blitz had literally zero feelings for Verosika ever, that still doesn't invalidate his pansexuality.

Excuse me a second, I need to scream about this...

Because this has come up over and over (esp on Twitter and TikTok) with people who want to claim that every bi/pan SPOP character ends up in a m/f relationship... by conveniently pretending Perfuma is not canonically bi/pan herself. And every time they are asked to elaborate why they are ignoring her canon status, they give the same answer: that they consider Perfuma a lesbian because now that she's with a woman, she's "not bi anymore"

And... yeah... you know that's not how it works, right? That being bi/pan is not just a phase you get over? That a bi/pan woman dating another woman doesn't suddenly make her a lesbian any more than it makes a bi/pan person dating someone of the opposite gender magically straight?

The person you are currently dating does not change your bi/pan status. Ever. And insisting it does, especially just so you can score some points by making up an issue about a show to be mad about, is super GD harm harmful to the real bi/pan people in your life.

(This is the exact same thing The Owl House fandom does with Lumity and why Dana had to make Luz present a whole slideshow in the cartoon reminding everyone she is still very much bi even though Amity is a lesbian. TOH fans kept insisting because Luz is dating Amity now, she's a lesbian. Nope. Her and Amity can be married for a billion years and that wouldn't change Luz's orientation.)

"But I heard that someone's roommate's cousin who worked with someone on the show once liked a fanart that showed Scorfuma with the lesbian flag so it's basically canon!"

First of all, the legend of this grows daily and I think it's really telling that this archival obsessed fandom only talks about this mythical like and yet has never been able to produce a single screenshot of it.

But for the sake of argument, let's say that this really happened and actually exists, that someone related to the show, however distantly, liked fanart once that implied Perfuma was a lesbian somehow. That still doesn't make it canon. People related to the show and even ND himself have liked and reblogged all sorts of stuff that isn't canon, including g/a, and have been very clear that the only canon is what happens within the show itself.

And, in the show, Perfuma is canonically bi/pan. We see her crushing on Bow, She-Ra, Huntara and Scorpia. The fact that people want to pretend the Bow thing never happened when he's the only character we see her actually date over the run of the show AND it's a major Season 1 plot point is wild to me and just shows the lengths people will go for bi/pan erasure.

And I get that some people enjoy using Perfuma to tell a story about comphet or coming out as a lesbian later in life and I am fully in favor of doing your thing with your headcanons in fanworks. But when it reaches the point it has now where fans are attacking other fans for saying Perfuma is bi/pan or attacking the show for not having any bi/pan character in same sex relationships when Perfuma is CANONICALLY bi/pan is ridiculous. 

Keep in mind that your headcanon is literally just something you made up in your head. It's pretend. Fun, yes, but NOT something you can use as justification to attack people over!

Especially when it's something like this that causes real world harm by perpetuating harmful stereotypes about bi/pan people being "just a phase" or a temporary state that changes based on who you date.

Just sitting here prepping my medications for the rest of the week and looking at Mrs. Beach's set up and how we are both taking estrogen and progesterone now and I just - had this surge of love and joy?? I love being married to a woman. I love both of us comparing notes as we both start progesterone (for different reasons). I loved teasingly calling her a little princess for wanting me make breakfast for her this morning. I love that our son constantly says "Ma-Mommy" because he meant to call the other mom and got tripped up.

I didn't come out as bi until I was 28, and even then felt a lot of "not-queer-enough" because I was married to a cis guy who I adored and didn't think I would ever actually be with a woman. And then I would have these weird moments of jealousy over sapphic relationships, again despite adoring my husband. (Sidebar: me finding and immediately dating the most feminine boy in our high school, and then later saying one of the reasons I was marrying him was that I just adored how not-masculine he was and how I detested super masculine guys, should have been sign #1 lol) Now that Mrs. Beach finally gets to be the truest version of herself, I love how I, too, feel like the truest version of myself.

Just - wanted to put some queer/trans joy out there on the dash today. We're in our mid-30s and happier than ever, and it's awesome.

Out of curiosity, I go under the Digital Circus tag and witness Marissa discussing Gangle shipping discourse, Gooseworx telling the fandom to behave because of said shipping discourse, and even more shipping discourse involving Ribbun, Abstragedy, RagaPom, and RagaOrbs 😭. What happened over the weekend? How did all of this escalate after a 51 second trailer? I think we should reconsider three things: ⭐️

1. Anyone can be shipped with anyone. Have at it, go crazy. Like or dislike a ship, it’s all good. Just don’t harass people over who they paid with who.

2. The RagaOrbs theory is simply just a theory. I know some Ragatha lesbian believers don’t like this theory and while that is valid, don’t spread negativity towards the theorist because of it. It’s all good fun. Plus, Ragatha doesn’t have to be straight or gay. Bisexuality/Pansexuality exists >:D.

3. Let us be a good fandom. Let’s agree to disagree and respect the thoughts of others. It’s not right to see well-meaning people being harassed for their own opinions. As long as they aren’t harming anyone, why be offended?
